This is the fourth year that I stayed in this hotel in June. This is the first time I got a unit without air conditioning, and I didn't notice until I was in the room and sweating from 90 degree heat. The motel is old as are the rooms.

Not the best part of town, but excellent prices. The owner was friendly and helpful, and worked hard to greet us and keep up the property. It's clear she loves the place and works hard to make it the best that she can. Reasonable, safe place to stay inexpensively.

Great little spot with a chill vibe. Easy access to local bars and music scene. Down to earth staff. great for the traveler soul, young college kids, hippie souls, or couples looking for some time: will definitely stay again great deal BEAUTIFUL room felt like home.

I arrived in town and found my hotel overbooked and left me on my own. I opened booking.com and saw true north. I knew it would be an older motel and it was. Clean room, staff help me get a pizza next day I got up and left. I would stay there again

This place is great! If you're a touring band, playing at any of the three music venues within walking distance, definitely stay here!

I had a wonderful experience with this hotel. The staff was super helpful and made my stay perfect. I would definitely refer them to friends and family!

I couldn't check in because my flight landed and I got in around 12:30am in the morning. I contacted the manager well ahead of time and when I had booked letting her know I would be checking in past normal hours and she reassured me she would be there to open the door when I got in but no one was there when I got there so I couldn't stay and had to go to a hotel to book another reservation for the night.

I spent a relaxing evening, hotel is quiet at night. It has a small kitchen. Staff was wonderful, lady that checked me in was a Gem of a person. She answered every question I had n made me feel welcomed.

Nothing It's not in a good area. I did not feel safe. Even though I paid for two nights. I left adter one night. Not a safe area, and pretty run down.
- 0.5/5
the room was run down. I was told the TV did not work, but in actuality there was only one outlet that worked in the entire room. There was no heat, I was told that a room heater would be provided because the heat in the room had not been turned on in some time. The space heater was lame and the room was freezing

The location is perfect- I was there for a concert at The Black Sheep right across the street. The floor was gritty- could have used a good sweep/vacuum. I wish there was a hair dryer- I assumed the room would have one and didn't bring my own. The TV/cable didn't work. The outlets in the main room didn't work to charge my phone, I had to use the outlet in the bathroom. And the CO air is very dry- I wish I had a humidifier! But it was a nice enough functional room for my one night stay.

Wonderful place

Cute and charming. At first I was worried that this place was a bait and switch but it isn’t. The garden was absolutely gorgeous and hidden from main view. This place was old but very clean. The ac units could use replacing or major servicing because they are older than me and I’m in my 30’s.

It’s a cute little place . I just wish the tv worked and it was a little quieter. Staff was super friendly and the room was relatively clean. I would stay here again .
- 4/5
I will admit I was skeptical because as others stated it looks like a sketchy neighborhood but we found it very friendly. This is a traditional old Motel some rooms are probably small, however our room was very spacious with a full size fridge, coffee maker & stove. It was very clean, the staff was very friendly & helpful. We were within walking distance to the Labor Day lift off festivities, we walked the mile there & back and never felt unsafe. The parking is definitely tight.

For nothing. I turned my key back in 20 minutes after check in. The woman at the desk asked if there was a problem. I said "yeah there's beetles on the wall". She said "sorry thank you". We left immediately after that.

TV Remote, Coffee Machine and SHOWER, ALL did not work !!! Other than this the room was nice and comfortable
- 5/5
True north has friendly and caring staff very accommodating they make the place feel very homey and inviting love this place
- 5/5
Manager was very helpful in everything we asked of her - from helping us figure out how to use the TV to restaurant suggestions. She even volunteered to park our car in a tight spot. She more than made up for the “datedness” of the motel.
- 3/5
It was just an average motel.
- 2/5
Area was populated with sketchy people .Dont believe the photos of the rooms especially the difference between normal room and extra . Very small . Dingy and had to clean the room myself . The lock on the door was not very secure which was concerning what with the other clientele that were staying there . Made for uncomfortable stay
- 4/5
Room was small. A/C was over worked small unit
- 4/5
That the rooms are different I really like that. They keep trying to charge my card n I have been there in weeks so they saved my card I guess..?
- 5/5
It’s like a little village in itself. Very cute and quaint.
- 5/5
It was perfect people complain about nose its really not bad at all everything was clean stove work it was good for the price felt like a home
- 1/5
This place was horrible. I booked this because of location, but ended up checking out shortly after checking in. The smell of weed was nauseating. There was no lock on the window and no shampoo. The bed sheets were stained. The motel is part of a storage unit property. The woman at check-in was pleasant, but that is all I can say that is nice about the property.
- 5/5
Cute little place no frills but was. Nice stay
- 3/5
Second time I have stayed there. Inexpensive and basic. Lots of sketchy guests and a sketchy neighborhood. They do take good care of their flowers. Room fridge did not work and some of my cooler food went bad. Window had to be propped open for fresh air with a coffee cup. Would I stay again -- sure.
- 1/5
It was filthy, the toilet was clogged, and the door looked like it could fall off the hinges.
- 1/5
Your motel need to be updated on doors and cleaning doors were dirty not mopped room smelled like smoke for a no smoking room didn’t feel safe at night there sorry
- 2/5
The first place I stayed at that charged for ice. The room was what you expect for the price the rugs were fifth and left your feet black on the bottom. There are a lot of shady characters but they left the cars alone. Won’t stay again for the simple fact that they charge for Ice really!!!!
- 1/5
Beware! All the photos are set up to hide how scary this place is. It’s in a bad part of town and all the other patrons live there and are very scary. They were talking about my husband when they didn’t know I could hear and were looking in our car windows and circling it. Could hear people rattling the fence behind our unit as well. We did not stay the night for our safety. Should have known when the office was locked with bars and had pit bull on chains. Even if we had stayed there was pee in the toilet and a shocking amount of food in the floor. Tried to talk to Expedia about it and they didn’t care. Also called the motel several times and they won’t call us back. Which is not surprising as the front desk woman told us “don’t worry it’s not as dangerous as it looks, just don’t leave your room!”

The staff were wonderful. The room itself was okay. The bed squeaked and made a lot of noise with any movement. The vent in the bathroom was leaking rain water. The bathroom sink faucet sprayed waster all over the bathroom.

Diamond in the rough updated and clean . Staff is amazing
- 2/5
We honestly would not have stayed there once we saw it, but it was late when we got in and we had to be up early and didn’t have the energy to find a new place or try to fight them for a refund. For the life of me I don’t understand how it has as high of a rating as it does. Finally, people were walking past our room and the area didn’t feel safe. Not really their fault but something to consider. We have stayed at cheap motels all of the country now, so it isn’t like we had 4 star expectations, and this is the first bad review I’ve ever left. There must be better options in Colorado Springs.
- 3/5
Hotels.com actually had messed up. My reservation so when I got there I didn't have a reservation. But the lady still allowed me to get a room then she booked me to a room. Somebody was already in then she gave me even a better room but she said she would price match. She charged me $65 originally for the room that I wanted but she gave me the bigger room and made me feel like she was just doing me a favor because she had messed up. But really she end up charging me $78 and didn't even tell me that she was charging me extra which I thought wasn't very cool. The OnePlus is that there's no deposit, so if you don't like Dylan with deposits then this is probably your best bet. But there's not very much room for parking. It sucks and the rooms were very cold and it took a long time for the heat to come on.
- 2/5
First, the room smelled like it had been smoked in for the past 70 years and only recently became non-smoking. We thought we could handle it, but it was nauseating. Second, the bed was just a pop up bed. Extremely uncomfortable. We honestly contemplated getting up and driving home half way through the night. We will not be returning.

Not the prettiest hotel in the world and this spot where it's located is a decent spot but it's kind of old and not up to date. But it was clean smelled like bleach which was a plus and it served my purpose. I have

Forget about the tiny, outdated rooms that barely fit the queen bed, or even the (lightly put) degenerates that occupy this place. The two minutes worth of luke warm water that comes out of the shower before running cold is absolutely unacceptable. 60 dollars a night for this dump. Nope
- 5/5
We rented a cabin. It was a quiet room with a nice sized bathroom and a fridge and microwave. So far we have stayed there twice.

The room and staff were great. We'll be back!

DIFFICULT UNCOMFORTABLE UNSAFE
- 1/5
I didn’t stay there due to the horrendous, cigarette smoke and poor customer service and treatment. I was told I would only be refunded for one day, but have yet to be refunded. Anything at all do not stay there at all. There are better affordable accommodations elsewhere, plus I think the property is running a scam where they want to charge you $250 for cigarette smoke but yet the whole property already smells like smoke so how are they able to even decipher that seems like a scam to me!
- 5/5
Conveniently located right across the street from the venue where my show was!
- 5/5
The deluxe rooms here are far nicer than any place in town with an $80/night price. Very spacious. There was a beautiful Rose Garden with interesting sculptures and other cool trinkets we could walk through on stone pathways. I booked this place because it was cheap, but it turned out to be a cool hidden gem. I loved staying there!!!
- 4/5
Friendly staff! Old school, eclectic motel close to nightlife in Colorado Springs!
- 1/5
Absolutely horrific stay… from the very first day, we did not have a “deluxe” room… sewage in the shower, toilet leaked at the seam, overflowed and smelled like sewage, used maxi pad left on the floor, and sure that we all know what that mark was on the comforter. Shameful and I expect a FULL refund.
- 4/5
Ok
- 5/5
I like that it's close to downtown, right on a major street. It's quiet, the rooms are a little old, but very comfortable. The one thing it needs is a designated dog walking area, since it's it is dog friendly.
- 2/5
They assumed ws did drugs or spmething tewlling my husband she would kick him out

This property was unsafe. The door had been broken into. A dirty spoon was in the duct tape freezer. A refund was refused we werent even there an hour and had people circling out car. They refused a refund
- 1/5
Property was dirty, poor conditon and I ended up not staying. Neighborhood was sketchy and didn't feel safe. The parking lot air absolutely reeked of marijuana. The office was locked with a phone number to call for assistance so I couldn't talk to anyone in person. I called the number and left a message with no call back. I also left a message on hotels.com also with no response. Although it was too late to cancel, I was not able to reach a soul to do so. Poor customer service. I'm not sure how this hotel had a rating of 8.8
- 1/5
I arrived late to Colorado Springs and needed a place downtown for an early meeting. I found this 8 star reviewed motel. My guide has always been 8 stars or better. This was, no way, an 8 star motel. Maybe one star.
- 4/5
Service was great and the room was larger than expected and relatively clean for the price. Our only issue was the air conditioner was on the other side of the room around a corner so there wasn’t much air flow
- 5/5
Staff is amazing the rooms feel like home
- 2/5
Issue we had is it is very difficult to park and full size truck at motel and very sketchy at night people constantly walking around that do not have rooms there. Also if you have to park in two spots because parking is so small someone will put a card on your truck that you are a Moron.
