The room is clean and nice. A lot of parking space. A bagel and croissants will be a nice add up for the breakfast.

I wish there were scrambled eggs for breakfast, but there was good coffee and fruit, location was amazing, rooms are very clean, and staff was so helpful, what more can I ask for.

The staff were wonderful and ever so helpful. I would come back just for them. However, the bed was a little rough to sleep on. You can feel the springs. If the bed situation was changed I’d come here year after year.

This hotel was in a decent location, but unfortunately, there’s no access to the beach directly across the street. You have to go over this ridiculously huge bridge in order to get to the beach, which is a very rocky beach so we just drove to Laguna each day. One thing I was very disappointed in was the fact I specifically decided to book this place so I can relax in the hot tub and look at the ocean. The view from the hot tub is good. However, the hot tub did not have any jets flowing whatsoever. So it was pretty much like taking a bath. For the first two days, the hot tub was ideal temperature but towards the end it got lukewarm. For the property managers this is something where a little can go a long way.! just fix the Jets to appease your customers. It’s really not a hard thing to do. And I would imagine it would boost your reviews a ton if the hot tub actually had jets. We also had trouble sleeping some nights because we stayed on the second floor and the floor above us, you could hear everything. Anytime someone moved any furniture or walked fastly you could hear it.

They charged me $181 extra which is fine but after a week they changed it to $381 so be careful and watch out for over charges

I absolutely loved the patio and the view. My trip was a much needed respite. And breakfast was an unexpected surprise; offering cereals, milk, waffle presses, fresh fruit, and free coffee all day. Staff was awesome! Especially DJ!!! Thank you DJ, I appreciate you! I hope to be back some day.

I really like this hotel, staff is nice, rooms are clean. They do charge for parking though and I wish the breakfast had more choices. Other than that, had a great experience both times. I also love that it is located next to 2 nice restaurants.

This hotel was a perfect spot for my family! The room was spacious and very clean. All the staff was very helpful and kind. Small free breakfast. The hot tub was nice and warm and overlooked the beach. Super close access to the beach & dining options. Our beds were cozy and and the AC was great! We will definitely stay again.

The staff was very polite and helpful. Breakfast was included, but only from 8am-10am. It’s pretty basic, but sufficient. The rooms are nothing fancy, but were clean and spacious. Our’s had an oceanfront view balcony, which we loved! I would recommend staying here.

This is my 2nd time staying here. Last year I had a single king with a balcony and ocean view. This year was 2 queens and an ocean view. The room was huge, much bigger than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised. The couch in the room was old and squeaky, but the beds were great. Loved the view. Beds were comfy. This room was much quieter than my single room. The breakfast wasn't huge, but it was free and it was a huge help because we were running late and needed something quick. Quiet, amazing location and the parking is perfect. We will definitely be back!

The hotel is clean enough. Staff are helpful. A great place to lay your head, but you do need a car to get around. Fortunately, they do have parking here. WiFi is good for virtual meetings too.

The second room I booked was an ocean view only to find it out it was partial ocean view and my request to change the room was denied by the same manager. I would have expected more professionalism and accommodation from a hotel manager! Breakfast options are basic, prepackaged pastries were disappointing.

Check-in/check-out was nice and easy. Rooms were nice & big. View of the beach, from our rooms was quite nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A note was posted that jacuzzi jets were not available to turn on. That was a bit disappointing. Rooms are located near the main street so we heard traffic and passing Metro train, through the night. Breakfast was more continental than a full breakfast. Overall stay was great.

1st, DJ, The night attendant front desk was great, very friendly and knowledgeable! We decided to spend our Anniversary at the Beachfront Inn & Suites this year and everything was good. Room was clean, loved our balcony partial ocean view. My favorite place to sit & relax. We enjoyed being able to have a nice dinner within walking distance! We did check out the complimentary breakfast. Enjoyed the boil eggs, OJ and banana among the other breakfast items displayed. Parking was underground which was nice, no problems. I hope they are able to fix the spa jets, maybe next time we will come back and enjoy it more. It was nice and warm and we did enjoy looking at the ocean. Keep up the maintenance, it's a great hotel!

This place is worse than a motel 6. It is completely misrepresented online. We left as soon as we got there and were charged for the first night even though we didn't stay there.

Great place to stay, but when you’re on the bottom floor, it gets a little noisy on the roof. People up all night long pounding on the ground or walking back-and-forth.

It's in front of the beach but you have to cross the street. To be able to get to the beach you have to climb a very steep stairs once you crossed the street (no elevator available) or have to walk to the nearest pedestrian crossing.

Upkeeping needed on property!! The railing on balcony is broken due to weather rot. Doesn't seem safe. Also, the balconies are so close together and pool is very very small. Not great for the price.

Very convenient to the beach across the street. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The room was pretty clean -- the bathroom definitely needs an upgrade. Parking was easy and reasonably priced.

The room was ok. Had a fridge and microwave. Both clean. Very spacious. The bathroom was the down side. It needed some work. It was clean for the most part. The cabinet needs cleaning and the caulking around the tub, inside the tub, around the toilet and other few other places needed new caulking. The staff was ok. Had to tell them to refill the waffle mix.

Large room with a beautiful view! Loved the hot tub and the breakfast was small, but perfect. The layout of the bathroom was a bit tight, but the positives of the location, price and size of the overall room outweighed the bathroom’s awkward layout.

The rooms were in terrible condition. Dark mildew in the bathroom, layers of dust around bathroom door, hair on floor that was NOT ours, couch was not cleaned for quite some time, we did not even want to use the pull out bed option as there was food and other dirt in the couch that looked like it had not been cleaned for months/years. Our patio was a puddle as water was leaking down from the pool area to the outside drain in the morning and flooding right outside our room/patio area. We could not even sit outside to enjoy the sunrise. Breakfast did not have many options. The view is beautiful but the Inn looks very outdated and weathered. Staff was nice.

The room was large and spacious. Everything needed was a short drive away. Staff were helpful and pleasant. There is a train that goes in front of the property and you can hear traffic from the patio. Other than that it was a pleasant stay for the price point.

I love this property! Great location near my favorite Aliso Beach. Close to Laguna Beach and and Newport but much better price. Great convenient parking. Good breakfast included. My husband and I like the suite …. 2 rooms with the kitchenette and deck with ocean view in distance. Lots of great fine dining restaurants nrar by.

This place was perfect for what we were looking for. It was beach close, peek a boo of the ocean, complimentary breakfast. The staff was pleasant and helpful. They had great communication. The only negative was that the slider did not slide easily likely due to the salty air. We had a great stay!

The king suite is the best room at the property. Beautiful big windows and overlooks the beach. There’s a hot tub and continental breakfast in the morning. It’s roomy for a family of 4. There is a mini fridge and microwave. Not a ton of restaurants in walking distance, but the beach is super close. It’s a short drive to restaurants and stores. Parking is $15 a night.

Nice location and lovely personnel Very noisy room, the doors do not close properly, and the rooms are not soundproof: you can hear the cars driving by so I had to sleep with earplugs. Bed and pillows were old and worn, as was the fridge which made a lot of noise and the airconditioning. The whole infrastructure is due for an upgrade. The room did not get made once in my entire stay. Also, not possible to open the windows to ventilate which is very annoying.

This place is not safe especially for women. The locks on the doors are broken and they don’t tell you. We had a grown man walk into our room and refuse to leave. The front desk offered no help.

Walls are too thin. You were able to hear the other room. Clearly heard everything if you know what I mean. But besides that it was not bad.

Bed..sheets were great, but bed was so uncomfortable! There was no place to sit or sleep that was comfortable. We ended up taking the plastic Adirondack chairs from outside and bringing the chair inside and putting a blanket over them to sit/sleep comfortably. View..blocked, but still see some of the ocean. Wonderful to hear the ocean at night. Street and train out front are loud. Cleaning…minimal. Towels were “crunchy” but white. Room never cleaned..just did towels, bed, and garbage. Breakfast; waffles, fruit, cereal, yogurt..good. Staff: DJ and Carlos were absolutely amazing! Extremely helpful, kind, professional, and made the stay. Sushi restaurant and Sunset Bar next door were very good. Location: close to everything and within 15 minute drive. However, we were bummed we couldn’t walk across to beach easily. Would I return… honestly? Price for what we got…nope. A bit upset about that.

The hotel was old and ran down . Very dirty. The one saving grace was the bed , it was very comfortable. But 30.00 for parking, that no one told us about , computer system was down for two days . The breakfast buffet , was old , cold and not appealing.The rack where you store your clothes, was cover in nicotine. I would not recommend , this motel.

The picture shows that the room has a private balcony that looks right onto the ocean. Our room you could see the ocean and sit out and watch it, but it was on a shared platform, so there was no privacy.

The pictures on the we sure don’t match. But the amenities were as described and comfortable. Before arrival, the front desk clerk led us to believe the property was beach side. Dana Point is a town wide no smoking policy and when we got to our room the patron next door was smoking weed and cigarettes. Toilet paper is single ply. Furniture needs updating.

We stayed in a king ocean front room and it was a spacious suite with a beach house feel. The staff was very friendly. Complimentary breakfast was very basic but nice complimentary coffee at all times in the lobby.

It was an absolute great stay, the only complaints were that the room walls were super thin so you could hear everything outside, and that the shower didn’t get as hot as I would have liked. The hot tub on the other hand was one of the hottest I have been in, it was amazing!!

Balcony had ok ocean view. Kitchen was barely functional. Fridge was too small and no counter space. Bathroom was tiny and needs help - the fan is super loud and TV in bedroom doesn’t pivot so not really viewable from bed. Train and traffic were noisy. You can’t access beach without driving a short distance.

This property was clearly developed by people who don’t want to put any money into it. Not enough furniture not enough chairs make up stains on the towels just a really substandard amateur job trying to own an operate. A hotel should be listed from your website not you should do it an on-site inspection.

I got the hillside view but oceanfront is very accessible. You can walk towards the beach or just relax by the jacuzzi and still get the best view especially during sunset. The rooms are clean and spacious but you can kinda hear conversations by the door but other than that everything is great! The staff are also very helpful and nice. They’ll answer your questions and even give options as to where to go and how to get there. Will definitely come back to this place!

Room was a good size, very dated but bed was clean and comfortable. We didn’t go into hot tub but was told it doesn’t have jets so it is just a hot bath. Probably wouldn’t stay again, but if the price is right then it is an easy stay on your travels.

The dead bolt lock was broken. Light fixture didn’t work. One charging station unoperable. Bathroom facet poor operation. Shower floor and handicap seat in dire need of refinishing. Need I say more? No problem with staff etc.

Worst experience ever at a hotel. The people in the room above us were stomping around their room until midnight then again at 6am. We couldn't sleep because of the constant loud noises. There is no insulation so you can hear each footstep plus they were walking heavily making the ceiling creek loudly. The balconies offer no privacy because they are angled towards eachother. Then you have a train that passes through at night and morning several times which is also very loud. Staff was nice and room is spacious but the thin floors and the constant noise made our experience miserable.

The attendant at the desk when we arrived was incredibly helpful, and friendly and he made us feel very welcome. The room was exactly as described and pictured. It was clean, it was very spacious and had a great view of the ocean. We only had one nigh there, I wish we could have stayed longer.

Shortly after check-in, the floor in our room was wet and our toddler slipped and fell. When we mentioned this, the response we received was dismissive rather than apologetic. The TV cable was also not working and was never resolved during our two-night stay, and we were told the hotel was sold out when we asked about changing rooms. What was most disappointing was the way the situation was handled at the front desk. When we tried to express concerns calmly and asked for a manager, we were not given escalation information and were spoken to in a way that felt unprofessional. Because of this, we chose not to push the issue further during the stay. The hotel has potential due to its location, but better attention to room readiness, safety, and guest communication—especially for families with children—would make a big difference.

Loved the view, breakfast not too many options to choose from

Staff was great. The room was clean. We had 2 queen beds and our room was towards the back of the property. We had a good ocean view. The glass sliding door was hard to open and close. The room was dated (single pane windows etc) but furnished nicely. To get to the beach you must walk down the road and over a bridge. We did it every day. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Definitely did not meet my expectations, but I also got what I paid for in this area. Highly recommend getting an ocean view room, if you don’t you will be getting a tiny room. Don’t bother considering this a “breakfast.” It’s processed pastries, cereal and waffles. Look for other options in the area and expect to pay a little more for a better experience. I was just hoping for a bit nicer hotel. The staff was exceptional and incredibly kind and professional!!

The first thing I thought was that the whole thing is just an excellent hotel room for the people who want a good view of beautiful beach !

I figured there would be outside train noise and traffic, but the noise from upstairs was much more intrusive. We could even hear them talking to one another. The room and sheets were clean. Although the water pressure was like a light rain, the shower was immaculate. The mirror in the bathroom was quite low. I am only 5'9" and had to bend my knees to see my whole face.

This is our second time here. We got the same room. View cannot be beat for the price but it is an older hotel that could use some updating. The mold in the bathroom is a problem. Location is excellent, check in is super easy and it was very quiet. Parking is plentiful and safe.

The only thing going for this place is the location and the size of the rooms. When we checked in there was no shower curtain and then they sent someone up and it barely went low enough so u didn’t get water everywhere. There was black mold in the shower. The bed was hard as a rock and the policies were flat. (so glad I brought my own). If you want cheep ocean view room this is your place but if you can pay a little more for a better place

Loved the area. Close to San Juan Capistrano. Great view, I think no matter what room you pick all rooms face the beach. Staff was helpful and had fast response. Will definitely come again.

Tiny room

It advertised there was a jacuzzi! I booked this place because we enjoy the jacuzzi together when we’re on vacation. We don’t have one at home so it is really nice to have one at the hotels we choose to stay at. We were not compensated in any way. We ended up getting a day /spa pass at another hotel so we could jacuzzi as part of our holiday. We both are seniors and have Arthritis. This is our guilty pleasure to jacuzzi occasionally to help relief the discomfort.

The front desk staff was absolutely wonderful. Room was clean. This is a better *budget* hotel. Be mindful of budget vs luxury qualities when evaluating it. I have stayed in both. For the price it was nice.

Faucet was broken and was not repaired after reporting to front desk also mattress had a huge dip in it sofa sleeper mattress was very thin and flimsy No cleaning service and not enough towels or toilet paper to last us the three days we stayed

The room was okay but needs updating. The lamps and room had no USB ports. The bathroom had no storage except the bathroom counter. There's room under the sink to put in shelves to keep the counter clear. The bathroom light is attached to the vent, which was very, very loud. There should be a way to turn the noise off, but there is not. The bathroom door wouldn't stay open without the garbage can as a door stop.

It's a 3 star that is on the beach. That's what it is. It's clean enough to sleep for a night but ultimately not very nice, cheap renovations and super bright office lighting in the room. The staff is the best part they were all great.

We paid for an ocean view room and despite the fact that the property was very empty, they gave us a corner room were the only partial view was from the balcony.

This is such a great place to stay. Friendly people. Rooms are huge, clean and the beds are extremely comfortable! The breakfast included oranges, bananas, yogurt, sweet rolls, oatmeal and waffles! Wow! Checkin and checkout super easy and no charge for parking.

On Sunday we were not in the room from early morning until about 2:00. When we returned our door key was deactivated. When we inquired at the front desk, the extremely rude lady at the desk said we were checked out because we didn’t answer her call and she already charged us. She went on to say that she would have to make some calls… this was followed by some very rude calls from her to our room and her insisting that we had to tell her specifically what time we were going to check out. I said 4. She said no- 3;30. Rudest front desk person ever,. I recommend not staying at this hotel if you can help it.

This is next to a train which ran through the night. It is next to a busy road. The refrigerator is in the bathroom. Extra pillows are stored in bathroom. Room smelled moldy. Staff was rarely at desk. While the beach is across the street, there is road and train in between and could not see beach from our room or the breakfast area. Saving note - Breakfast was great. There is a hot tub, but it is odd that anyone from street could come up and get in hot tub. Also, had to pay for parking.

We had a large group and the suite was generously sized with room for everyone. The room was clean and well appointed. The refrigerator, stove, and microwave made it easy to store, prepare and enjoy our food. It was nice to have a balcony with seating to enjoy our direct view of the beach. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Our stay was very enjoyable overall.

The places has not sound proof ceiling or walls, you can hear everything from the neighboring rooms or upstairs rooms. Air filters are filthy full of dust, the AC thermostats don't work. The breakfast was not continental and very poor on choices. Mario the front desk attendant was very understanding and accommodated us to another room, but still you can hear everything. This was a business trip.

Our room was way too small. The bed was so close to the window and curtain. There were three long dark hairs in the bed. The bed only has three pillows. Why not four when two guests were staying? My goal was to rest and not spend too much time out. But the room was so tiny I had not desire to be in it. There was one little chair to sit in and two of us. Also the pool was so small we didn’t bother with that either. If you are there to be busy and spend no time in the room then I guess it would be fine. But we had hoped to have a restful weekend in.

Spacious room and balcony with nice side view of ocean. Comfortable bed and good sheets. Towels were rather small. Convenient location across from ocean. Downsides: Spa jacuzzi was not heated. Intermittent generator/compressor noise all night long. Very basic continental breakfast with no non sugared protein.

My boss was taking clients and the rooms were old and not as presented online. He was embarrassed to say the least. We were not provided a refund from management. My boss had his two clients pack up and they went to stay at another hotel.

Nice staff. The room they gave me first was so small there’s no way we could stay there. Upgraded to a better room and it was OK. Several power outlets didn’t work, the phone didn’t work. There was no soap. Very thin, old towels. No working remote for the TV. Lots of issues everywhere.

Great views, great location right next door to a sports bar and grill. Staff was great l want to give a shout out to Frank at the front desk he helped me find a T-Mobile so I could get my iPhone repaired. I’ll come back.

Great counter staff

Our room was wonderful! We chose the ocean front room for our last day in California. It was a short walk to the beach. If you are expecting to get in your room a little early that may not happen, so that was disappointing.

The only thing I would suggest is that the furniture be upgraded. It’s not very comfortable. The staff were excellent, and the service was excellent.

Staff was great rooms were great. The only thing was, which is probably not controllable. It did have a few gnats in mosquitoes.

Great place to stay

This property is centrally located, easy to get to, and very clean. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. Breakfast was basic: cereal, yogurt, fruit, packaged sweet rolls, and waffles. The check-in was easy and all the staff were friendly ad helpful. The property needs updates as it feels worn and sad. It is not quiet as it sits across from the beach and the Surfline track, which runs well into the night. Being across from the beach was great and were would stay again.

Stayed here 1 night before catching an early ferry to Catalina. We had a front facing room with private balcony with a great very of the ocean. Hotel is clean and staff is very friendly. Located close to many shopping and food choices. Also very close to Dana Point Marina. Would stay here again

Gorgeous views from our 3rd floor ocean view room. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice continental breakfast with cereal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, waffles, juice. coffee etc. Train runs along ocean in front of property but we didn't hear it during the night. Lots of parking - large spaces, $10/night. Pretty quiet boutique hotel. Not a lot around, but short drive to restaurants, Doheny state park

This property is in the perfect spot for a beach vacation. Steps from the beach! Much less crowded than beaches in Laguna. Rooms were simple but sufficient. Views were incredible! We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Cali.

Worst place to stay in Dana Point

Very friendly staff. DJ was awesome and very helpful.

It was okay. Didn’t have a working phone and wanted to take a hotbath but didn’t work out as I couldn’t plug the water as the drainer stopper didn’t work. I called from my phone, as room phone wasn’t working, to request WiFi password instead of getting it I was told that it was provided at check in and then given to me as if she was doing me a favor. However, location is good and I enjoyed beachfront view, but wish the hotel was given some love and breakfast provides options.

Parking was only +

This was our second time staying. We love the area, it is nice and quiet and very safe. We could just walk across the street to the beach and there was food nearby. Definitely recommend

This property is very beautiful and the rooms are huge but we noticed the bed sheets were not clean they have a stain and then when my husband went to go grab the blankets in the closet those were dirty as well it looked like candy or something pink was stained

The hot tub heater was not working. They charge $10 a day for parking

Beautiful ocean views and walkable in about 20 minutes to Doheny State Beach/Doho Cafe area. Front desk folks were very friendly and helpful. The suite was very updated and nice. Big TV’s and microwave/ fridge

This property is great for needing an actual bedroom, there is a small kitchentte as well. Only complaint was it said breakfast would be done, and we were there 3 min before time, and it was not set up, no lights were on, so we just went to grab Konos. Otherwise great stay. Right across from Doheny St Park/Beach, which has free parking, fire pits and more. One of my favorites.

The upstairs neighbors were heard loud and clear. The unit was dirty and floor looked like it hasn’t been mopped in a year.

The ocean front room has a wonderful ocean view. Please note that it is also directly over the Pacific Coast Highway which has a lot of traffic noise.

The property is in a beautiful location. Bedsheets had sand in them and new sheets had what looked like blood on them. Sink in bathroom was plugged and faucet was leaking. Hot tub heater was out. It appears management is unwilling or unable to maintain the property adequately.

Nice space and location. The hot tub was broken and didn’t heat. It would have been nice to sit in the hotel at the end of the day.

Comfortable bed. Very small room. Needs some updating. Staff were all very pleasant. Good location for summer at the beach, away from the crowds, but expensive for what you get. Continental breakfast included boiled eggs, yogurt, cereals, packaged danishes, and self-service waffles.

The big problem I had was with the overall condition of our room. On the floor in the bathroom there were rust marks on the floor and walls. In the living room the sofa had warn arms and needed cleaning. The little galley kitchen was clean as well as the refrigerator. Floors were clean. I did not think the room was worth the money.

The staircase in the parking lot can be cleaned up a bit. the cleaning crew was very amiable.

Location is great

Staff 5 Stars!!!! Love the view of the ocean. They also had Boogie Board for the kids. The room was very roomy! They just have to update the sofa mattress.

It’s a wonderful stay! So nice to be by the beach! The access to the beach is a little hard because of the stairs but there’s also a way you can drive! Definitely recommend this place!!

Sofa bed was dirty, had to beg for sheets, bathroom was moldy, and no cleaning service. Nice view but, the beach was thousand steps away as you have to cross the railroad tracks via tall sky bridge. Staff was not friendly kicked everyone out from the breakfast area at 10am sharp.

The staff was amazing, very friendly. Unfortunately, in my humble opinion, the price of the room was too much for the type of room received. Yes, it's close to the beach, but it's a bit small and uncomfortable. If you're going to hang out in your room for a bit, I would not recommend it. If you just need a place to sleep, should be ok.

I was aware that this hotel did not have a pool, but I figured jacuzzi would be good enough. It was not working, it was Luke warm by evening it was cold. I got the impression from staff that this was normal. The bathroom sink had a leak , I could tell it had been leaking for awhile the wood underneath was rotted. Every sliding door in this hotel does not have a screen. Would have loved to leave slider open to hear the ocean. But bugs were flying in. We were given 3 bed pillows not 4 like most hotels , 3 shower towels not 4. One tiny shower soap! At least there was breakfast. It was just okay. Will I stay here again. Probably not. Beach was not the best either. I would have really appreciated an apology or parking discount for the non working jacuzzi.

We clean hotel. Amenities were not kept up with like table ware, glass ware etc. needed to be restocked in rooms.

The photos are misleading; this place is quite outdated and significantly overpriced. We experienced a hard mattress, lumpy pillows, and poor amenities. The only redeeming qualities were the nice view and the helpfulness of the front desk attendant, which earned it two stars.

Staff was very nice

Location is bad; yes, you can see the ocean from your hotel room, but there is a chain link fence all along the beach to prevent people from crossing the busy road and railroad tracks. They do have walkways available to get to the beach, but it is not ideal. The best part about hotel was $20 per night parking. We do not recommend to stay at this hotel, or around that area of Dana point.

The property has a very good location and it is safe and quiet. The rooms definitely need updating w new furniture and paint. The furniture is also sparse in the living room. It also has the worst breakfast of any place I’ve stayed . If I was going to be in the area again I would stay in another location.

This property is old and needs cleaning of sofas and bed linen, etc. I am attaching a photo of the pillow case in our room. I asked for more towels on second day of reservation and was told they were out, to please wait after they come out of dryer and they will bring them. I also asked for cleaning of the room on second day and was told, they do not provide that service for a two night stay. It was our first time at this facility and our last. It was disappointing to spend all that money on a junior suite with ocean view in that condition. I hope this review will help them improve this facility.

We would stay here again. The two king beds was the reason we booked at this location. Room was spacious which was nice for our family of 4. Room had an ocean view, Unfortunately the AC unit was incredibly loud and would wake us up throughout the night and the breakfast was pretty weak, those kept me from eating it 5 stars.

Rooms were clean but outdated. Continental Breakfast was good. Across the street from the beach; railroad tracks and PCH. No pool just a larger spa. Nice but wouldn't stay there again!

No swimming pool but large hot tub used mostly as a “ warm water pool” for kids which was near our room so noisy. Not far from walk over bridge to get to Beach so convenient for that a good restaurant. Also could hear foot steps from n room above. staff was great. Overall, rate good

Old and not really aesthetically pleasing. Our tv didn’t work and the desk person worked hard to fix it. Parking was tight, but we always had a space. Construction on the beach, so views were unsightly, but that’s not the hotel’s fault. It was clean.

Loved the old school Pacific Coast Highway vibes and the ocean view from our room.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Trolley stop is just a few minutes walk. The do new new bed linen. All in all I would stay there again.

Great value for the price, this is not fancy or best of best but the pieces are all there, it is clean and had great parking. Elevator needed a tune up.

The facility looks nice on the outside. Parking is great. Front desk staff were friendly. However, the rooms & furniture need updated and cleaned pretty badly. Breakfast is sub-par and the breakfast area is minimal. The beach view is nice but the beach itself is hard to access due to railroad tracks and fencing plus two very long sets of stairs that would be very difficult for young families or anyone with physical limitations. I have included a picture of one set of stairs as well as the view of the hotel from the beach access point.

Location was perfect.

At first glance this property is amazing. It was clean and the parking was great. The room was okay. The slider to the patio was horrible and took two hands and strength to open it. The pullout that my daughter slept on was horrible. We had to purchase a mattress pad cause the springs were protruding thought the mattress, the cover was gross and the cough was the cleanest. We never once got our room serviced and I had to call for everything, towels, coffee, everything.

We had a terrible night, gave us a room that was next to the bar nught club, elevator and driping water from behind the wall..slept maybe 1 hour..we canceled the remaining 2 days and left! They said their system was down and no room change. Will never go back.

The location to beach was awesome. The hot tub needs turned up a couple degrees it’s only a warm tub.. waffles were great for breakfast

Good stay

We absolutely loved our stay here, from the minute we got here, we liked it more and more every day. DJ and his crew at the front desk were very accommodating, taking care of our every need. After a long day of exploring L.A. and the beaches, we looked forward to coming back to the comfort of our little ocean-front pad. The breakfast in the mornings was just what you needed to start your day, a nice variety. We stayed here for ten days, and loved it every day, and would definitely come back again in the future.

I can’t comprehend the positive reviews people are giving. The only thing decent about this resort is the paint on the walls. There was black mold, rusty chairs and railings on the balcony, the pullout mattress was beyond old, there were holes in the comforter and drapes.

Functional, convenient and friendly staff

This little gem, for me, is an excellent location. I have a sisiter and 3 neices inbthebarea and I love havung the anikitybto be comfortable feeling of my own space.

The property is old and has a lodge smaller motels type feel. I like the fact that it has a heated Jacuzzi during evenings to relax while rain or cold weather.

Spacious King suite. Could use an update to the bathroom. The continental breakfast was lackluster. I would definitely stay there again.
