Reviews
The hotel is undergoing major construction, causing inconvenience to guests. The staff, particularly the valet and front desk, are praised for their friendliness and helpfulness.
- Friendly and helpful staff, particularly the valet and front desk
- Great location near the beach
- Hotel is undergoing major construction, causing noise and inconvenience
- Rooms and facilities are outdated and in need of repair

Room could have been cleaner. Self parking was automatically charged at $45 at check in which we were unaware about. Close distance to Capistrano beach.
- 4/5
Super helpful staff. You can walk to the beach.
- 5/5
Went to celebrate my birthday and it was a close walk to the beach. The room was clean and we had fun!
- 5/5
Only stayed one night, but staff was welcoming and attentive. Room was clean and comfortable for a good night's rest.

The staff everyone was unique, helpful, attentive, and caring, and I like that to try right across the street from Doheny State Park Beach

Great location & view of beach

AThe room was dirty, wall unit came off the wall nails exposed, picture frame on the ground and nails exposed, spiders and webs everywhere. Couldnt use our patio furniture because they were covered in spiders and dirty, hotel does not offers free water, tea, or coffee, had several nights where they was no parking even though we paid $45 a night for parking, they charges my card multiple times even though I paid cash up front, front staff was not nice and one even rolled her eyes several times after I asked for the manager, spiders in the bathroom, towels and toilet paper was not stocked, we had to ask for some, drawers were filthy dirty, including the fridge. The only person that gave amazing customer service and was so sweet was the lady that served us breakfast in the morning. Food was good.
- 4/5
Very expensive to park.
- 5/5
Very positive lodging experience with a comfortable and clean room. The staff were very helpful and attentive to all our needs.

Expedia rate charged $622. Rate on Hilton.com $175. James said the rate I was seeing on my Hilton app was not correct. He said the real rate was $435 + parking of $45. So he begrudgingly adjusted the rate to $500 which was still $325 more than the typical rate. Clearly it was my fault for not catching the excessive rate on my confirmation email. I booked in a hurry for my son’s baseball tournament but I would never spend that much on a Hilton Garden Inn overlooking the freeway. My fault. But why flag the rate as excessive when I checked in, offer an adjustment, ask me to call Expedia, and then fight me on it? What could have been an amazing customer service experience became the absolute opposite. The whole thing was extremely frustrating and disappointing.

Everything was pretty good. We stayed there for a night and had no problems, except that the bed sheets seemed too small for the King Bed we were sleeping on. There were no spare sheets, and after getting up, the sheets would already crumble into a ball.
- 5/5
Would love to stay here again
- 2.5/5
Bathroom was dirty. Bathroom door gives no privacy. Some staff were rude.
- 5/5
Staff helpful. Room clean. Parking garage could use more lighting as it’s underground. Good view of ocean.
- 5/5
The Valley was wonderful and understanding they were so helpful and welcoming.
- 1/5
Coffeemaker wasn’t working either. Didn’t tell us room wouldn’t be cleaned every day. Keys weren’t working. They offered to comp parking, and when we checked out nobody would do anything about it. The manager Luis said Marc the night manager didn’t leave any notes. It had the potential to be a great stay, but staff wasn’t on their game. 😢😢😢
- 3/5
This stay was mediocre compared to other Hilton Garden inn establishments.
- 5/5
Loved the beach view rooms. The room without tubs that aren't suites were disappointing,
- 4/5
The hotel itself was nice and the food and staff were amazing as well. The only thing was the freeway noise and the room doors are way to close to one another as they slam very loud. Unfortunately my neighbor slammed his door frequently until midnight——just my luck! Will I stay there again “YES” with a few changes
- 5/5
We have been here several times and love it here the location is stunning l. I have nothing bad to say about the property

I had a suite with 2 balconies.. to much noise during the day as well as late as night ..to much money ..wasn’t worth it 😬
- 3/5
We had a great time at hotel very convenient when you traveling with pets . Overall hotel were very clean one thing is the hotel doesn’t have direct access to beach you will need to drive to go to state beach or walk 2 miles for it
- 5/5
Great place, reasonable price
- 1/5
The restaurant was staffed by an immature server who definitely needed training. The shower water was barely warm or hot and the pressure was horrible. They make the hotel appear as if it is right on the beach and it's not. You have to walk down aways to go through a state park. There's a beach campground across the street. The coffee that looks like it's available in the lobby had no coffee. The only real positive thing I can say about the hotel is the valet staff. They were great but they charge 55 bucks for valet per day.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff
- 5/5
Perfect location to the towns and beaches The property was a little dated and I wouldn’t say run down but typical of a bldg right off the ocean… you can tell they have not spent a lot of budget on the renovations… mostly not super happy about the additional cost for parking and that it’s not included in your stay… that pissed us off.

Parking is a fraud and excessively expensive- beach access is through a campground across the street- rooms are average at best-
- 1/5
Bad view. Never stayed at hotel where parking was not included. $100 on top of the hotel fee is ridiculous. Had a ant in bed. Went for a wedding and was not impressed
- 5/5
Jeff helped us check in and he was fantastic! Overall pleased with room and experience.
- 4/5
Charge to much for parking
- 5/5
Great stay in a great location!
- 4/5
The location is a big plus, with easy walking distance to the beach. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful, which made the stay even better. I also loved how easy it was to get in and out of the parking garage—super convenient when you’re coming and going throughout the day. The on-site restaurant was also a pleasant surprise and definitely worth trying. That said, it does feel more like a business/travel-for-work hotel than a vacation resort. I stayed here with my kids for a week over spring break because it was a more affordable option near the beach, and it worked well as a home base. The pool was just okay, and I was disappointed there wasn’t a hot tub. Overall, this is a great choice if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and convenient place to stay—especially if you plan to be out exploring most of the day.

Jeff at check in was great!

It was light and airy. The room had two patios, one bigger than the other. The only thing is the place. Location

Room was clean, but sliding door to bathroom didn't offer enough privacy. Staff was very professional and friendly. Beach view was beautiful. Did not have breakfast. Overall my stay at this location was very pleasant.
- 5/5
Great staff. Valet helped me store my surfboard was super chill.
- 4/5
The room had an amazing view!! I wish the shower had a body sprayer, but the room was spacious and comfortable. The staff at checkout was not very friendly and seemed put out that we wanted to store our luggage for a couple of hours. But the valet was great and friendly. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Breakfast was very expensive. $15 for a cup of coffee and a bagel. Extra charge for parking and noisy room.
- 2/5
Televisions didn't work upon arrival. Bathroom sink stopper was not functioning. Keys initially provided did not access fitness room. Music was constantly blaring in the hallways. In room coffee machine was not restocked as requested.

Amazing hotel and staff
- 5/5
No view
- 4/5
Had a wonderful relaxing peaceful stay. Staff was excellent, rooms were clean except for I had a few gnats in the bathroom by the shower. Area was nice wonderful beach views. Son did mention pool was a bit dirty Only thing would keep me from going back is parking prices. $45 each day to self park? Way too much. We pay too much for the rooms at least parking should be free my goodness
- 5/5
We had a great time at this Hilton. It’s in a great location, right across the street from the beach and less than a mile from our favorite restaurant Olamendi. So that was a win for us. We will definitely be going back.
- 5/5
Nice, convenient.
- 5/5
Great location in Dana Point and I wish I remembered his name but the man working at the Valet is such a great person
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
Great location. Beautiful roof top deck to watch the sunset. Staff was all very friendly.
- 5/5
The restaurant was a little bit frustrating. It wasn’t clean and there wasn’t enough help. So we ended up leaving and going elsewhere for breakfast.
- 4/5
The front desk was understaffed. No one picked up the phone. You would have to walk down there each time.
- 4/5
Room was clean, ocean view was more of a sliver of a view, breakfast was excellent
- 5/5
Great all together
- 5/5

- 1/5
Parking was $45 per night on top of the room fee. This was never mentioned beforehand.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful… valet was exceptional. The location of this hotel was perfect. Would absolutely stay here again!!!
- 5/5
Clean and welcoming.
- 4/5
Clean room. Excellent staff. The only issue we ran into was getting a partial ocean view and the sliding glass door not working properly. Other than that it was a great experience!
- 5/5
Fantastic hotel and value, conveniently located across the street from the ocean and beach access.
- 3/5
Fast check in! That was nice. But I was looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub in the evening and there’s no hot tub on site, so that was a bummer. And the parking says $15 uncovered online, but it was not offered. The room we initially had didn’t have the AC on, so we checked the thermostat- and realized there were not batteries. So called the front desk, and they brought some. We left to let the room cool, but a couple of hours later, sadly it was still not working. They were nice enough to moved us to another room quickly.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay. I wished I booked another night. Good view of ocean.
- 5/5
The staff is super nice. Beds were clean and comfy. We love staying her :)
- 5/5
Very accommodating staff, I enjoyed my stay
- 5/5
Love it
- 1/5
Was givin the wrong room, told to leave in 5 mins. Got to the lobby and there were 7 police officers to make sure we left the property, We were ther to celebrate our 37th anniversary, We will never go back staff was very unprofessional lacking in communication skills.
- 5/5
clean and renovated room the whole hotel was very nice and so was the staff!
- 4/5
Pleasant stay, room carpet was showing quite a bit of wear with many stained spots, otherwise it was fine
- 3/5
Booked property because of location and terrace dining. Both terraces were closed for wedding event. Ended up sharing fish tacos in the lobby because only one person tending bar and serving so asked to eat in lobby. We arrived around 3 and knew we would wait for room. Although bar hours were posted as opening at 2:30, did not open until 4. We drank wine from a can while waiting for room. Very disappointed our get away was so much less than expected
- 5/5

- 5/5
Amazing staff. Very comfy. Nice view from our room. Can’t wait to go back.
- 5/5
Everything was good
- 4/5
Good overall. Self-park @ $45/day a little steep though.
- 5/5
By far the most friendly and helpful staff I’ve ever encountered! Everyone was genuinely eager to offer help and provide whatever we needed, offered great recommendations, and just a joy to encounter!
- 2/5
Pool was dirty, dog hair in room, gentleman supervisor on duty for housekeeping was extremely rude when asked to have my room cleaned. Keycard door access not working in multiple locations making for long walk to room. Trash lying outside on property for multiple days.
- 4/5
Everything was great, besides all the roof tops being used for private parties, but we did get to hangout at the surf lounge it was cute. I guess the rooftop bar is not in season yet so that sucked was looking forward to that. Only other issue for me was the pool was really dirty! Overall super nice rooms and beach view but with a lot of trees in the way. Balcony cute and rooms huge.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean, great location, and affordable are reasons we keep coming back!
- 5/5
It was a great view
- 5/5
I booked this hotel last minute for Valentine day, it was good choice, very nice, clean and working stuff there was very friendly and helpful, especially girl who was helping to do valet our car.
- 5/5
Amenities were amazing
- 3/5
My room had broken glass door. The toilet didn't work half the time I had to take the tank lidoff.
- 5/5
Everything you need for any type stay.
- 4/5
I think for the price, the room should have been cleaned every day. Also, the rooftop bar was closed on a holiday weekend. That should not have happened.
- 5/5
The staff was very nice and very helpful
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
Great hotel great location. Love this spot one of my favorite places to stay.
- 5/5
Bella at the front desk was amazing!
- 4/5
Clean, renovated, comfortable hotel in a great location. Restaurant was good but expensive. Housekeeping supposed to come every other day but did not clean my room. Rooftop spaces advertised as for guests were not - fires and heat lamps not turned on, dark at night. Only were staffed or operational for outside groups hosting events. Staff were very friendly, rooms very quiet and well appointed and comfortable.

Tammy was the best!! Amazing energy and kind!! Poured a great mimosa! Very clean rooms! Parking was expensive but valet was quick!!
- 4/5

- 4/5
Great service. Nice hotel. It can use some upgrades. The screen door was broken and the door wouldn’t close so we asked for a different room which they accommodated quickly. However, the other room had the same problem. Very nice rooftop with gorgeous view. We will go there again.
- 4/5
Good experience
- 3/5
The staff was good although we didn't meet many. The bartendress struggled making change, but most importantly was we had to change rooms due to the amount of dog hair and the second room had an underlying odor of urine. Say goodbye to carpeted pet rooms. Easier on cleaning staff and more sanitary for patrons
- 4/5
Nice location and amenities. Parking was very expensive

Clean and spacious room
- 5/5
Great place and a wonderful place
- 5/5
Convient location, great property would stay again without a question.
- 3/5
Plumbing issue, 3rd attempt got good employee expertise
- 3/5
It's okay if the hotel doesn't allow early check-in, so at least, have more than one person at the front desk checking people in at check in time. The line was long and super slow!
- 3/5
BUT THEY CHARGED $45 FOR PER NIGHT FOR PARKING
- 5/5
great bar and good view
- 2/5
Loud poorly conditioned property with uncomfortable bedding.
- 1/5
The driveway was half closed and the balcony of our room was right above the chaos. The roof top common area was closed. Also Expedia charged $240 a night and the same room if purchased on the hotel's site was $200 for the same room. I thought it was going to be nicer room. The parking garage was hard to access because of closed off entrance and the hotel was not charging the $45 a night fee but because we used a third party Expedia we were charged. So it was not so much the Hotel but using Expedia was the problem.
- 5/5
It’s a great hotel!
- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
I always love to go to the rooftop bar. This time was closed. They had many excuses but I found out from a staff member that they do not have enough workers and the dining entertainment boss quit.
- 5/5
Clean room. Recently updated. Nice staff. Some construction going on in the ‘check in’ parking area.
- 3/5
Okay
- 5/5
Yes
- 3/5
We approached the desk and the agent told us we had to wait as she had to complete another guest’s check in. This was a man 2 people in front of us. Why wasn’t she able to check him in immediately? When it was our turn, my daughter and her husband said their room key did not work from the previous night’s stay. Agent said they had to check out and then check back in. WHY?? My husband and I checked in with no problem.
- 4/5
The only other issue was there should have been a warning on their site or at the front desk upon check-in of the parking area construction. 8am pavement work on Saturday and Sunday was difficult to ignore.
- 2/5
Sofa bed is uneven and very uncomfortable Check in took one hr., staff only speaks Spanish
- 3/5
Pretty loud there...could hear the hotel music in my room going through the hallways...trying to sleep hearing the music wasn't ideal. Loud hallways all around. Shower was not clean at all. Construction in the front was challenging and loud, I know things happen like that but made things even more difficult. Hated how you can only turn left out of the hotel driveway so adds time onto your day when you have to sort of backtrack to get where you need to go. Staff was the best part of the trip. Bella was awesome at the front desk, but all staff was super friendly and helpful. Wont stay there again just with the lack of convenience. Not a bad hotel but prob will find a more convenient hotel. Parking fees were sky high..unheard of rates for nightly self parking and valet. Traps you either way.

- 5/5

- 5/5
Great place to stay. Convenient for where I was going also. Great staff as well. Thank you!
- 1/5
Was looking forward to three days in San Clemente. All this was ruined by the hotel, that decided to have their driveway resurfaced Friday-Sunday from 8AM...Noise was so bad, that we could not enjoy the pool, the outdoor space or the rooftop terrace overlooking the ocean. What a bummer..
- 3/5
This property is very confusing and the parking and valet area much too small. Room was nice. Had to pay $45 for parking and we had handicap placard.
- 4/5
Room was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and attentive.
- 4/5
Clean modern rooms. Excellent location across from Doheny Beach. We could see the ocean from the balcony. I only wish housekeeping would come daily vs every other day.
- 5/5
The facilities at this hotel are excellent! The entire hotel is clean and updated. The location is impressive.
- 5/5
Very clean and spacious room, great full size amenities, staff was very courteous friendly, and professional, and very helpful. Would definitely recomend for a peaceful and pleasant experience!

- 5/5
It's a lovely place. Staff is great. Very relaxing place to spend a few days.
- 5/5
Staff was very nice room was great
- 5/5
Good for work layover
- 5/5
Location is superb for surfing at Doheny State Beach and close proximity to all the shops in Dana Point, the room was clean, staff was accommodating and friendly, and the cafe downstairs was excellent.
- 4/5
The staff was great especially the Valets be warned there is a charge for parking per day $50 valet n $45 self park only negative thing about staying here.
- 4/5
Room was great, staff was courteous, but things to do were not as close as hoped.
- 1/5
Gross and smelly damp carpet and extremely loud air-conditioning with a view of a parking lot. The hotel still was unaccommodating with the exception reimbursing our parking We have stayed at this hotel in the past and will not come again.
- 2/5
The coffee maker’s electrical plug was not compatible with the outlet. Difficult access to and from location (its address is on a one-way street) Teeny, uninviting balcony, facing parking lot. QR code to ‘tip’ staff….? I will never stay in this hotel, again, nor recommend it to others. Way overpriced.
- 4/5
Staff was great
- 5/5
I will stay there again
- 3/5
Staff was courteous and helpful when needed. One of the TV’s in the room was not working, which was fixed very quickly after making a call. The fireplace in our room went out our last night there as well. All in all, it was an enjoyable stay. Word to the wise, if you’re a Hilton member and book your reservation through a third-party, Hilton will not honor your stay and no points will be earned.
- 4/5
I travel a lot for business and most always book at the HGI hotels, just because I like their properties. My only beef with this particular hotel is the irregular bar hours, the staff shuts down early if they have a low occupancy? I was working and came in both nights before 9pm and the bar was completely shut down? It's a very nice hotel, but of you are looking to have night cap you better bring your own or stop somewhere else prior to going to your room for the night.
- 5/5
The courtesy and helpfulness given by Marc at the front desk was exceptional. The thoughtfulness in room design for the comfort and convenience of guests also went far beyond the expected.
- 4/5
Nice
- 3/5
Room is ok but you can see out both sides of the bathroom door. Parking is crazy expensive when it should be free... one website listed free breakfast and another said you have to pay (yes you have to pay)
- 4/5
The valet was very helpful. The front desk girl however wasn't especially friendly. The room itself was fine but the partial ocen view meant that I had the valet right under me (I was on the second floor) and the vocal chatter was loud. I was attending a High School class reunion and it was a blast. So overall I had a nice time.
- 3/5
I’m shocked Hilton had put their name on this property. It was clearly a run down motel that was purchased and thrown a few updates up. Hotel room doors opened out into the hall, first time I’ve ever seen that. Room smelled of paint. We had to call maintenance in the middle of the night due to air conditioner compressor issues. Hotel is located in a weird spot.
- 5/5
Perfect location for a fun weekend
- 5/5
The area And veiw
- 4/5
Room was big and clean. The Overly Large jacuzzi tub that was not a jacuzzi anymore was weird and out of place. But, it was fine. There was a rooftop bar that was cool.
- 5/5
Great stay- great location- great value
- 4/5
All staff was great. Kathy, Alex and others were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Enjoyed lobby and bar area.
- 5/5
Great proximity to Doho beach
- 5/5
Staff was so friendly and welcoming.
- 1/5
We purchased a 2 queen room with a balcony and ocean view and when we arrived, it was only a 2 queen room right next to the rooftop bar and was incredibly noisy. When we came down to the front desk to inquire about our room, first we were told it was Expedia’s fault and that there was “nothing they could do, cause they make no money from Expedia-booked rooms” and that we will need to contact Expedia later for a “possible refund”. Eventually we were directed to speaking with the assistant manager of the night and he stated that we would have to wait until the morning to “maybe get the correct room”. The interactions we had while dealing with this issue was very belittling— even going as far to say we “should have gotten to the property sooner so they may have been able to handle this easier”— mind you, our check in is at no earlier than 4pm, so “arriving sooner” is irrelevant. After 2ish hours of going back and forth and waiting for further help, they suddenly had a correct room available with a balcony and ocean view. However, this room was absolutely filthy. Dead ants and hair in the shower and around the toilet, stains on the carpet, cockroaches in the halls and elevator. AND the underground parking garage is partially flooded and spelled like awful rotten seafood. The other half of the parking garage is filled with “storage” from the hotel of ripped up, rolled up carpets, removed windows, and glass. Literally an atrocious stay and we’ll literally never be returning.
- 3/5
Locks on door didn’t work. Used wash rags left in the shower. They don’t make beds daily nor replenish wash towels daily.
- 5/5
Staff were very friendly
- 3/5
Cons: Hallways are stuffy when walking around. Only one elevator working. The room had an odor and was not properly cleaned. The linens/towels had an unpleasant odor. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The shower tile grout was black with mold or dirt and there were cobwebs, spiders and dust near the bathtub and window. The bathroom also had plaster marks on the floor and wall and a tile was askew, causing a possible toe injury if not aware. Scuff marks on the floorboards/wall/furniture. The patio was dusty, had debris and the table was not cleaned recently. There was a big spiderweb that had to be dodged when stepping onto the patio. There were stains on the couch, carpet and chair. The fireplace did not work. Overall a disappointing experience considering we splurged on a king ocean view suite. Definitely not worth the money spent, left disheartened that our favorite hotel that used to be a Doubletree did not meet our expectations of visits past.
- 3/5
We selected this hotel for the location and expected it to be
- 5/5
Perfect for those looking to spend some time
- 5/5
All good. Room could have a been a little cleaner
- 4/5
Nice!
- 4/5
Easy check in. Room was clean. Great pillows and appreciated the shower turn on not being under the shower head. Freeway view but surprisingly quiet. Nice rooftop bar with no clean view. with friendly bartenders. No Valet associate at 6:00am. Desk clerk had to find my keys and I had to retrieve my car. No big deal but time consuming and inconvenient. Overall good place to stay.
- 5/5
The beach is within easy walking distance, and there are close-by restaurants
- 3/5
Parking was way too expensive. Considering that he paid about six hundred for the hotel and you gotta pay another 45.00 on top of that for parking and another hundred and 144. For deposit. The refrigerators leak water everywhere. There's black widows or spiders all over the balcony, where you can't sit out there to enjoy the scenery because you'll get bit or attacked. There was an ant crawling on our bed, but I made sure looked around that there was no more never a manager to be found. One of the clerks, when you check in, she's the rudest woman ever and lazy. The parking stuff was wonderful. I think next time I'll stay at the best. Western, that's right across from the beach. I heard a lot about it from people who were staying there that were on the beach sitting next to us. Plus they had free breakfast included.
- 1/5
Well you’re not going to listen to me anyways so waste of time. Marc at front desk said he was going to fix. The problems Not!!
- 2/5
No early check in after being told there was. Bathroom floors were dirty and noise was loud in the morning. Paid for ocean view and didn’t really get that.
- 5/5
Recently remodeled with a very cute laid back beach vibe; staff are very friendly and helpful; on site bar and restaurant were tasty and efficient with service. Right across the road from the beach. Will definitely stay again!
- 5/5
It’s a great little place to stay. The beach is a 4 minute walk from the room.
- 5/5

Great location, rooms and staff. Luis, in particular, at the front desk was very helpful during both of my recent stays. The surf theme throughout was a perfect add. Rooftop bar was also a lovely place to enjoy a CA sunset.
- 5/5
Close to the beach. Walkable, and plenty of dining options nearby. The food at hotel was not great for the price. I dined out 99% except for one breakfast which was not great. The rest of my experience was great the service and staff were excellent.

Thanks for a perfect stay!

Housekeeping was at the worst. No towels, bath soap. Requested service and asked for shower soap at least 3 times.

I didnt like that no refund was given after decision was made to depart early. Things happens that cause you to depart early

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn for a total of 3 nights for my boyfriend birthday weekend. I had made the reservation months ago to make sure we had a nice room with a view of the beach. We got there 15 minutes before check-in and the front desk person (Amber) charges me a deposit of $1,300 USD which is more than the value of the whole reservation because they charge you a deposit for each night. I told her that I have never seen this practice anywhere before and that I’m not sure I understand. Then we had to pay for parking either $45 per day for parking ourselves or $50 for the valley. The thing was that on Expedia it mentioned that the parking was $40 a day. Also, you are forced to choose one of the two parking options since there is no parking place anywhere around the hotel and no side walk to even get to the hotel if you had the chance to find a parking. After paying the deposit, we got to the room which was nice but the view was a complete disaster and a lie. I could barely see the ocean far away. It was more a view of the street and the palm trees covering the beach. That was definitely not what I paid for for this special occasion. Then we tried to use the bathroom and the toilet wasn’t flushing. We went downstair to request another room and Amber informed us in a very rude low key impolite way that there wasn’t any left so we asked that the toilet be repaired in the meantime. The technician can to fix the toilet but then it keep making a weird noise and loud the

Loved the room size and quiet atmosphere

Close to the beach and restaurants.
- 4/5
Hotel is in a very easy convenient spot, the bar was great, staff were attentive. Hotel is a little older
- 5/5
Amazing location, walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Easy parking and rooms were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

They charge $45 for parking. Per day. There is no free option. If you're driving there you don't really have any other options. The bedding sucked, the shower door made an elephant sound when closing. It looked beautiful but overall pretty disappointed.
- 5/5
Great place!! Loved the sweet staff. Restaurant attached is super. Pool is small but still great. Will come back. We stayed here and traveled to the Laguna festivities - just a 29 min drive down PCH .

How can you bump your customer when you’ve already checked in? And there’s no prior communication, no accommodation, no apologies at all.this is by far the worst customer service. I was asked to check in last night on the Hilton App. I was given over 15 rooms to pick from over three levels. I chose a room on third floor and checked in. Before I came I even chatted and asked them if I still have the same room and now I know why they didn’t answer me. Because I came and only come to find out they bumped me. Front desk’s only explanation was the customers stayed precariously decided to extend their stay so they got to keep the room. So… you bumped your customer but there is no need to let them know ahead of time? No courtesy what so ever. When I came to room I got bumped to, the room was definitely not cleaned right. Chair was still full sands, the towel has dark spots and bed sheet has yellow spots on it. I talked to the front desk and they offered room but not in a way they’re trying to help a customer in need. What happened to Hilton’s well known hospitality and service? I’ve been to Hilton in 10+ states this is by far the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Shame….

The outlets in the room didn’t work…. A maintenance man came to fix them and they still didn’t work…..

My room was 82 deg at one point. Notified the team x 3…

Awesome place and very accommodating staff
- 5/5
Easy access to IH 5 which made it easy to access to other areas. Doris

Loved everything about our stay. The valet was amazingly helpful and thoughtful. They made it easy and kept our car up front when we said we would be leaving for dinner soon. I would’ve loved an ocean view but I know it’s not always available.
- 5/5
My son and I stayed here for 5 nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Shout-out to the bar staff! Even though the price of parking was steep, the view from the upstairs bar and the sunset deck more than made up for that!
- 5/5
Great staff, great food, see you next time.
- 5/5
Great place to stay and close to beach!
- 5/5
Loved the staff! My wife had a broken ankle and they made sure to accommodate with a handicap accessible room! When we needed toiletries and towels they brought them up quickly! We did have a spider in our room and being 2 short women lol they send maintenance up to get rid of it for us lol the shower pressure was amazing! AC got ice cold and the room was quiet. We didnt hear the road next to us at all! We were there for a wedding and they were very nice and accommodating! Will be staying again!!! Wont share the room number but will request it again if available lol Amazing decks to just hang out on and the bar as well. Drinks were a little too pricey. But yes would stay again!

This hotel was in the perfect location. Jon in the valet was very helpful and kind. The roof top bar was a great space.
- 5/5
Great view from the two balconies.
- 4/5
Just what we needed. A comfy, clean place to overnight while we enjoy the beaches.
- 3/5
Be prepared to pay a lot of money to park! The nightly room rate was good but they get ya for parking! Call and ask about the price to park before booking.
- 1/5
Room door had a big gap and I can see outside, sink drained super slow, toilet flushed very weak, only one coffee cup! Come on, your a Hilton hotel! People expect your good reputation.
- 5/5
Place was nice thankyou
- 5/5
For drinks was convenient. Would definitely stay again! Parking is a bit pricey with really no alternate options but valet/self park for 50/45$ respectively.

Check out: we wanted to leave early knowing I would still be charged for the 3rd night. At 10:50p I went to the desk for check out, but was told we can’t be checked out until morning. I clearly understood of paying the full fee and even the last day parking fee. Deepthi, the clerk, again said she couldn’t process the check out. How so? Yet she took my key cards. I said I should be receiving some email about my departure if she can’t due the process. I need proof to show the times and I don’t end up with other charges. Now as I am driving out, I see my email. How is it your desk clerk can’t check a person out? I called the morning to confirm my check out was done and the gentleman said he would do it. I still didn’t get an email. Now I am waiting on my credit card to see the amount The hotel, valet were friendly. The room had spots here & there that were dirty. Eco friendly yes. Walking distance to the harbor. The breakfast diner was 8/10, pricey but okay. My feud was with checking out & it didn’t help that the same first encounter clerk was no help. Ask Victor who was there to witness. So Hilton Garden Inn please contact me for if you want more details. I will definitely be contacting back for final fees. I am only one customer, right, but reviews carry.

Kudos to the valet and bell hop staff… the front desk and housekeeping need a little more training in regards to customer service and a little less socializing amongst each other. I would be more than happy to discuss this with a Hilton representative as I too am in the industry and expect much more out of the Hilton.
- 5/5
The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. The food was outstanding both in the choice of dishes and quality of them. The staff are very professional and friendly. Walking through the campground to the beach was not what I expected. I thought it would be a park/ parking lot. It was farther to go that way but I felt awkward walking alone through the campground.
- 5/5
Excellent service
- 5/5
Fantastic facility, well located, great staff, good coffee.
- 1/5
Awful!!! The 24 hour fitness is connected to the rooms and the pounds and the firmness machines when in use vibrate for long periods of time and cause myself and family disruption in sleep. Made complements and nothing was done during our stay!!! Very unhappy about they way it was handled and disappointed with our stay!
- 5/5
Polite people, nice area, close to the beach
- 4/5
The hotel was great but our room was right across from a campground that was extremely loud into the night. Otherwise it was fine.
- 5/5
A quick one night stay.
- 3/5
Property is beach front, but you have to walk on a dirt road to get to the beach with cars driving by in a pretty unsafe way
- 5/5
Awesome experience!
- 4/5
I could do a better research to make sure I know where exactly is located. Very close to the beach but surrounded by a highway and train tracks with a very loud noises . The size of the rooms are average from any hotels. But the biggest downside is how expensive is parking . I fault for not checking the parking available note but almost $400 on just parking for a week I think is a bit excessive. So I learned next time I will check on that first .
- 1/5
The toilet flush was automatically going off every 5 min all night. The shower had zero pressure and water was getting cold and hot. Train passes right behind the property. So I woke up so many times and got the worst sleep in a hotel so far.

Beautiful view

The cleaning was not good at all. The cleaners did not observe hygiene at all.
- 4/5
Friendly staff, and rooms.
- 2/5
The service here from the front desk is terrible. The restaurant staff is great. They also tried to cheat us out of breakfast vouchers we paid for. The room is dirty and they charge 50 a night for parking.
- 2/5
Was disappointed in this property. Our room smelt of sewer. The shower water came out over the shower door into the bathroom. The place felt very stripped down. The gym was also stinky and the AC did seem to work in it. It was dirty and no towels provided. We had to ask for coffee pods for the room. Overall, just seemed like the property could be much better managed.
- 3/5
We called several times to ask for towels no one ever brought them. The front desk staff was friendly but I wish We had better access to fresh towels
- 5/5
Beautiful view from the room. Juanquin was very helpful with our room phone issue. Service at the restaurants and food was great.

Great place and location for price

Great hotel very friendly

There was a stain on the bedding of the pull out bed/couch. Liked the location, but was a walk to get to the actual beach.

Needs to be updated. No counter space in bathroom, noisy AC, terrible view

Everything was well

Great location and friendly staff
- 3/5
It was a nice hotel, but I checked in at almost 11pm and they charged me for the whole day parking fee of $25. A little annoying and when I got to my "Partial Ocean view" it was really a view of trees and an RV park. Disappointed to say the least.
- 5/5
Great view of the ocean from our balcony. Soft clean bed.

Won’t go here again, the hotel is loud, the pool was supposed to close at 10 it didn’t and unfortunately we were close to it and people were very loud, then there were children running through the hallway screaming not just once but over and over again past 12:00 midnight, they charge for parking, they put 2 cheap bottles of water in your room but if you drink it they charge you $6, only put enough for 1 cup of coffee and there was two of us, the shampoo, conditioner and lotion were almost empty.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, very spacious, great amenities
- 3/5
We did bring our own towels/blankets, but the towels provided were dirty, so were the sheets and blanket. I didn’t mention it only because I know how busy it is with the holiday, the staff looked like they were working very hard and they were very polite. It just wasn’t as clean as we hoped but we brought our own things so it was fine. There also were a lot of kids running around being loud, but they’re kids so that doesn’t have anything to do with the staff/hotel.
- 5/5
Amazing view and stsff
- 5/5
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to beaches, restaurants and shops.
- 5/5
Stayed here while in town for a conference at another hotel and so glad I did. The room was very spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The gym was a decent size for a smaller hotel. The staff and service were amazing though! Would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Excellent staff.
- 5/5
This was a great hotel and the food we ordered was great!
- 4/5
Light does sneak in around the door to the hallway so complete darkness isn't possible. Overall, it's a decent place to stay.
- 4/5
Noise from highway so we couldn’t keep the sliding glass door open at night. Otherwise it was a bit better than average.
