So me and my wife were in the room and felt like we were getting bit so we searched and found bed bugs, crickets, dead lizards, and ants. We asked for refund and they said that due to us being there and used the facilities they aren’t sure if that would be possible and that there would always be bugs and stuff do to it being a open concept where the room is 4 feet away from grass. And that it is up to there manager if that they could. They expected us to look around the room before using it for bugs and such to be able to get a full refund. Which is ridiculous I should not have to go look for bugs in a hotel I should be able to come in feeling safe not finding nor searching for dead or alive bugs. 1/10! No one should go there! Especially since it looks run down and was originally built in 1935 with little to no maintenance and flickering lights.

Honestly, this place could use a major overhaul.. Although the gentleman behind the desk was very nice and accommodating, it was hard to look away and not notice how this motel was beyond low budget. I’m trying to be kind and respectful here. But if you could find a place that’s just $20 more, it may be worth it to stay elsewhere. The only reason we did not walk away is because we didn’t wanna have to deal with Expedia and we were in a hurry to get to an event that evening.

The fridge and microwave did not work because they were unplugged. The nearest outlet was behind the large table where the TV was sitting and there was a dirty sock lying on top of the TV cord where it is plugged in (not sure how you can plug in two appliances with only one one available plug-in). It was clear that housekeeping never concerned themselves with checking the functionality of the appliances. The Texas Inn site on Google Maps indicated that there was breakfast available. This is not true. They do have a coffee maker in the room. There is a Super 8 less than 1/2 mile away that does have breakfast and coffee in the lobby and in the rooms. The rooms I stayed in there were so much nicer and cleaner. The price for both of these places are within $5 of each other so I will stay at the Super 8 for now on. I generally try to support the smaller businesses in a city, hence the reason I stayed here. Unfortunately, this will not happen again in Denton. I do get through the area frequently and will definitely stay with Super 8 for now on.

This place was horrible and not clean, we found bugs in the rooms and in the mattress, call cleaning service and they got upset that they don't have bed bugs, then the TV was not working, then the light power went down in our room after turning the microwave on. We did not have any where else to stay due to everything being sold out and we had little ones, if not I would of rather sleep in my car. Then they ask for a $50 deposit and you get it when the room is inspected by room cleaning service like if the room was clean to begin with. Do not recommend,

They didn't have my Expedia reservation, but thankfully (???) had another room.. The heat was on in the room (it was 95 degrees outside, and at least that in the room) at 9:30 at night. Even cranking it and having the fan on all the time it was 3am before the room cooled off enough to sleep. I should have followed my instinct when I couldn't easily find the ENTRANCE and just gone to Motel 6 down the street.

All the rooms open to the outside like a motel, not a hotel. Room was shabby, carpet matted and smelly. Holes in curtains and comforter. Hole in the bathroom wall where someone pushed the door handle through the sheetrock. Poopy stains in toilet. Sink drained very slow. Phone didn't work in room, so we couldn't call the lobby to find out about breakfast. Tried calling lobby from cell phone several times, no answer. Turns out breakfast is over at 9:30am when we got there at 9:45am. Went to IHOP.

I arrived and was immediately disappointed walking into the lobby. It smelled damp and musty. During the check in, the staff asked to make a copy of my drivers license, a copy of my credit card and a $50.00 damage deposit. I refused to allow them to make copies of these documents due to security concerns and they refused to rent the room. They felt this is something all hotels did thus was justified. I noted they kept this data in an unsecure flip file at the front desk. I suspect they just threw the copies in the trash after check out increasing the risk that personal information and credit card numbers would be at risk for identity theft or credit card fraud.

When I got back to the room that evening, the coffee pot still had coffee in it, the filter was still in the machine, and another packet of coffee was left but no additional creamer or sugar. I cleaned the pot, then wiped the machine down. The burner was filthy. I went over it three times with a tissue and I still got stuff off. The cap over the drain plug in the sink was sitting next to the drain. I'm not sure why someone would leave it there unless a call was put in to maintenance, but I screwed it back onto the shaft and it worked fine.

Needed a reasonably priced room that would allow pets for college graduation. The price was okay, but this Quality Inn was not the caliber of Quality Inns I've stayed at previously. The entire property was dated. Upon arrival, they confirmed my room as a smoking king (we had reserved/prepaid a non-smoking room with 2 doubles). When I questioned that, they tried to charge me extra to "upgrade" to the room I had already paid for. When I went for the tablet to pull up the reservation, the desk clerk said they would do it "this one time". They require that the free continental breakfast be eaten in the dining room, so no food could be taken back to the room. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. I'd find somewhere different to stay next trip to Denton.

I selected this hotel because everything else that was a reasonable distance from UNT was booked up on graduation weekend. The room was OK and I appreciated at least having a flat screen TV, micro/fridge and reliable WiFi. However, the facility was pretty old and not well maintained in general. The location is good though - you don't have to get on I35E to reach it if you know your way around Denton, and it's close to lots of shopping/restaurants on 288. Nice because I was able to avoid the horrible traffic on the freeway.

This was the first time I used Quality Inn & Suites in my travel so I was looking forward to staying in a nice hotel & relax. However that was not the case. The first room I checked into was dirty room, a white dirty towel was left behind the front door, dead & alive flying bugs were in the room on the bed comforter, bathroom counter was full, the towels in the bathroom had bugs on them, the phone didn’t work. At this point I’m upset, we took digital images & so I took the dirty towels, another small towel of bugs to show the front desk clerk & all he could tell me was he would send the maintenance man to my room. We spent a hr dealing with this issue, the maintenance man moved us into another room and said that is all he could do for me. The second room phone didn’t not work as well. One of the main reason we picked the hotel was because of the pool & we were told that the pool was ready to go but needed to be inspected, which is not on the website stating the pool is down.

While the staff was friendly & welcoming, the room/buildings were disappointing. As a woman traveling alone, the facility did not feel safe. The rooms had only outside access with many dark corners on the outside stairwells/hallways for someone to hide. The parking lot was similar. There was no elevator that I could find. Due to a flight delay, I arrived after dark. I was not informed that the room numbers had all odd numbers on one side of the building & even numbers on the other side. This made for some stumbling around down dark outdoor halls and a bit of confusion. After finding the room, the light switch did not work & the room was pitch-dark. The light on the switch had been turned off, so this was not an ongoing problem. The room was neat and fairly clean, however the tub faucet dripped continually and the shower was barely lukewarm making a chilly start to the day. The free breakfast was good, including hot eggs, sausage & potatoes in addition to normal continental breakfast items.

Refrigerator looks like bought from a construction site…has white paint spots all over. Poorly patched areas in ceiling – Cracks in walls covering around door trim - poor caulking jobs around sink—definitely unprofessional installs The towel shelf—rusted - Walls generally dirty - easily seen visibly - Very poor vacuum job on floors – there were those burs I kept stepping on and stabbing me and the corners had dirt accumulations throughout Safety latch on door – poorly installed – very loose and wouldn't hold – the main light switch didn’t have the protective cover on it Best I could get water in shower was warm. The cereal was stale for the breakfast. Place has potential but needs ownership with pride and valuing of guests. I would not recommend.

when we arrived to the hotel, the clerk was texting on his cell phone and there was a small "birthday party" going on in the lobby. We asked if the visit would be quiet and we were informed we wouldn't be able to hear the party. We got to our room and turned the light on to find the room full of beetles. I sent my daughter (who has a terminal illness as well as my grand daughter who has asthma) to get another room. The clerk told her the reason there were bugs was due to the grass. There was barely any grass near the hotel (located right off the interstate). We live in the country and we manage to live without bugs. When we got to our second room, just a few doors down, there again, was beetles. We had no choice to stay due to the need for electricity for breathing treatments through a nebulizer for my daughter and grand daughter. By now it is around 10p.m. The clerk called and asked my daughter if we would like to leave. She began telling him,"We really can't leave...." and the clerk hung up on her. My daughter went up to the front desk for a third time and requested a cot so that no one had to sleep on the floor with the bugs. There were 3 adults and 1 child in the 2 bed bedroom. Once back at the room, the DJ's SUV alarm kept going off and we did not get any sleep. We left EXTREMELY unsatisfied and paying in full for a room full of bugs and rude customer service.

The nicest part of this hotel is the lobby. Our room was very old. It had about 5 patch marks on the ceilings from leaks and every thing was very grungy. The TV remote was dirty and sticky! Yuck. The worst part was the broken AC! Thank goodness it was still May. It would turn on but once it clicked off it would never click back on! This and the Highway made for the worst nights sleep I have ever had. For the same price you can find way nicer.

When we arrived to our room the door opened without the key. there was no air so we went to try to turn the AC on and the cord could not in any way reach the outlet. We asked for another room and it had a strong mold smell. So at 1 AM after travel we were forced to find another hotel. The front desk employee was very calm and tried to help us.

The hotel was easy to find and also close to everything. The only thing is tha they need to consider either changing the carpet or cleaning. It was nasty and dirty. I was able to tell this because my socks were black after walking on the floor.

Older hotel that could use an updating, but the rooms were clean (except the carpets really need a deep cleaning) and comfortable. There are better places to stay but they also come with a much higher price. If you are not picky about the age of the facilities and simple want a comfortable place to sleep with a decent breakfast, this will fill your needs.

Nice pool area which had just opened the day before my arrival. It was quiet, clean, and attractive space.

I was a little hesitant about booking this because I know nothing about the town, and the low price... but I was very pleased. If I have to go back to Denton, I will choose this hotel.

Not a bad place to spend a weekend where you are going to be out and about. The staff was very helpful and the bed was comfortable.

The photos are very misleading. Lobby area is the nicest part of the entire hotel. They should paid you to eat the complimentary breakfast. Hot food was freezing cold and bread for toast was ready to be used for thanksgiving stuffing.

On a road trip thru Texas booking cheap rooms day by day, this was the nicest place I stayed. Pleasure to have working snack machines, stylish lobby, gym, inroom refrigerator, enough towels... Things I'd come to take for granted until this trip showed me that anything less that the Quality Inn won't deliver.

It was not a clean, or comforting hotel. It was in poor condition and some of the electronics that were provided had burned plugs.. dangerous! I had to be switched to a different room.

It was a great place to stay. Just a few minutes to drive to the University of North Texas. We sure we will be coming back again when my son goes to school for the fall semester.

Do not stay here - Hotels.Com recommended this hotel and said it had a rating of 3.5 out of 5 which was pretty good for the price - everything was terrible! If I could have changed hotels the first night I would have. There isn't one thing good about this hotel - except when you have to call to get towels, have the trash taken out and get toilet paper - they are pretty quick. No clean sheets, no made beds, no cleaned/restocked rooms, employees seem just as miserable to be there as we were and did not even attempt to hide it. It was awful! The only silver lining? I didn't leave with lice. I was concerned I might leave with some kind of bug infestation.

The internal door lock was broken, The beds were lumpy and hard. The curtains were to small for the window and did not block the large lights in the court yard. I would not stay here again nor recommend it.

The exterior property is very shabby and in need of painting. The room was very shabby and dirty. There were loose bathroom tiles, dirt in the corners and the bathroom door was dirty on both sides.  The hairdryer was literally smashed in its wall mount.  The refrigerator had old dried orange juice pooled in the bottom. The curtains were hanging loose from the rod at one end.  The heat/AC unit was falling apart at one end.

We are generally not people who like to complain and are that quietly just don't come back. First of all, we were promised to two double beds and we received one double bed. While checking out my husband mentioned this and the clerk was very rude and blamed it on Expedia saying that is jut the way they do things. The bedspread had a big stain on i. There was a dirty towel behind my pillow. The toilet ran all night. The light switch didn't work so we had to enter a dark room and try to find a lamp. The lobby was presentable. The breakfast bar was adequate. I would not return to this establishment.

There is no way that I would ever stay here again. I am surprised that Quality Inns and Suites allow them to use their name. I have stayed in Motel 6 and Super 8’s that where in much better condition than this place. Ok where do I start, the place is lacking in maintenance in a bad way there was rust on the towel rack, carpet was dirty when you took you shoes off and walked across the floor the bottom of my socks turned black and it was not even tacked down in some places but running up the side of the wall. Cheap stucco patch jobs, TV stand was a chest of drawers with the top drawer removed and a piece of plywood struck in there. All the furniture was out dated by at least 20 yrs. Doors had a seam showing that might have suggested that it had been broken at one time. Due yourself a favor and don’t stay here. The only upside was the breakfast was good.

Good location, decent rates, not bad value. The TV remote didn't work, which was extremely frustrating as the TV was stuck on Fox "News" and there was no other means of changing the channels. Other than that, a nice simple basic room, fairly clean and at an honest rate.
