Good: swimming pool and breakfast Bad: Not quite. An old building with so many unfixed things, such as sound coming from inside doors when closing, is one example of an old building. Sometimes kids play in the hallway and/or inside the rooms, and occupants in the other room can easily hear it all. And the complaints may not be addressed, as happened in my case. The assigned door-access cards often do not work, and you have to spend time sliding back and forth to make them work. The staff know about it but do not care to upgrade the system. Unless you travel alone and do not care about these things, this place should not be on the list, not definitely for a family trip.

The air conditioning in the room was terrible—it lacked maintenance, was very noisy, and kept freezing up, preventing the air from flowing.

I stayed here as part of a girls vacation. The property was clean and nice. The room was clean but the bed very firm. The shower drain didn’t drain well so the shower filled with some water when you showered. The indoor pool and hot tub were nice. The hot breakfast included eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes. It was good but they didn’t have the hot cinnamon rolls out and they would only keep 1-2 yogurts and cold items in the fridge so there was no variety and you had to track down a staff member if the last item was taken. I would still stay here again, just some minor things they could do to make it better.

Room was okay. Heads up with the security deposit, it’s been over a month and it is still on hold. Never had this happen at any hotel. Can’t even dispute it and just have to wait for them to return it. Have called multiple times and I was told the deposit was still on hold on their end and that they would fix it. Still has yet to happen.

I would not recommend this place. Beds are horrible very old. Blankets were torn. TV only got 2 channels. Remote control don’t work and front desk told me she could not help. It’s cashless. No vending machines. Soda is $4.00 a can again cashless. Employees always on phone but can’t help. No welcomes no thank yous. The beds are from the 70’s. Springs all in your back. No coffee pot in room. No usb charging stations. Very OLD.

Staff were not too friendly and breakfast was cold and bland. The room itself was clean and in good order. It’s close to the airport which is nice. One of the exterior doors did not read my key card well and one of the elevators was not operating correctly.

Particularly, many thanks to Steve, a reception administrator, who accommodated us after the long travel, without being able to check and respond to his messages on the road that were related to a computer problem with our reservation (which had to be cancelled in the meantime)! While I am happy to praise the Holiday Inn hotel, let me point out that HOTELS.COM FAILED to do their job in a reliable and professional way! Shame on you! Specifically, I mean up to the last moment, according to my Hotels.com account information, all appeared to be fine with my reservation. But it wasn't in real. And if I am to use your platform, I expect to have all correct and timely information from this platform only. In other words, HOTELS.COM, if you are unable to maintain and update real time information from your partners and communicate it fast to us, maybe you should consider doing another business, right?

Very comfortable and clean room. Easy access off and on to the express way. Several fast food and convenience stores next to the hotel. We enjoyed our stay and will tag as a favorite for future trips to Denver/Aurora.

Good location, very clean hotel and the staff is very attentive.

Only concern is the tile by the pool is very very slippery. Both our grandkids slipped and fell. The front office and housecleaning staff were equally as helpful and kind. Close to the fire station so you do hear the sirens.

minus: Only 2 drawers under the microwave. Keycard did not work for the outside door near parking. Check-in problem with credit card rejected for deposit multiple times - employee gave up. It happened to the people in front of me also. Needed more pool towels.

Every time I visit Denver, I stay at the Holiday Inn Express Denver Downtown—it's become my absolute favorite. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, always going out of their way to make you feel at home. The rooms are always spotless, clean, and comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. I especially love the complimentary breakfast, which is always hot, fresh, and delicious with plenty of variety to start the day right. Its prime location is another huge plus, surrounded by many different restaurants and food options within walking distance, plus easy access to downtown attractions. I recommend this hotel 100%—it's the least you could ask for in a reliable, hassle-free stay. Book it without hesitation!

Night of Jan 1. was the worst noise disturbance ever!! 8pm room 412 started w/random noises dog barking & loud thumps. Then 9pm came & people were knocking loudly on the door, laughing, running in & out. Then it sounded like people were karaoking. At 10:25pm the noise was getting louder & nonstop. I called front desk, the guy informed me that the issue had been resolved. The noisy people were down the lobby by him. 10:45pm, the noise didn’t stop, I called back & reported the noise is still ongoing. The guy told me no one else was on my floor besides the people in the lobby, which were still in the lobby. My husband & I went downstairs & told him it was room 412 that was causing the noise. The front desk said nobody was in room 412. We must be hearing things. So we told him if he didn’t believe us then go up with us to check. He refused & said he already went up before & heard nothing. We told him it’s happening right now!! Go listen for yourself. He said he can’t leave front desk until his coworker comes in. We asked when that would be? He said he didn’t know. So I asked him to move us to a different room if he refused to solve the noise issue because it was almost midnight. He said he didn’t have authority to move us. So I asked him to cancel the rest of our stay, which was 3 more nights. He said he could cancel but we won’t receive a refund. At this point either the guy was on drugs or there was a ghost partying in room 412. Limited text box, can’t finish writing details!!

Overall good. Breakfast is good. Room cleaning every 3 days not good. Towel replacement and cleaning should be at least every two days.

Horrible place to stay! Mold in the sinks, dark and semlly water. Sewer was spelling horrible odor. I did not stay even a night and they do not want to make a refund. Still waiting for response, really upsetting taking into consideration that ai needed to book a new whole hotel!

Property was overbooked. Our reservation was changed from two queen beds to a king room by the hotel. When I arrived the front desk attendant said the system changed my reservation and he had no queen rooms available. After going back and forth he said he had two queen beds in an ADA room available. We were put in that room. The room was mostly fine, except for the bathroom. The water pressure was so high in the sink even on low the water went everywhere. There were also two large cracks in the bottom of the tub, so I can only imagine there is water damage in the room below. When standing in line for an extra towel, the people in front of me also had an issue getting their room. The attendant said their system overbooks all the time and they have no control over it. We loving staying in Holiday Inns but this one was not up to par.

Everyone that worked there was super nice and helpful. Great breakfast and breakfast service. However, room was not great quality and we usually always stay at Holiday Inn (4th stay this year in different states) and this was the worst bed we've have slept in a Holiday Inn. The air conditioner would make loud noises even when off or not on fan. The sink made a mess when barely turned on.

Room was large and clean. Bed was comfortable maybe a little firm. Missed breakfast unfortunatley which ends at 9:30. But I was able to grab and yogurt and a bagel. I would stay again if in the area.

The room was very clean and comfortable! Feather AND cotton pillows. One of the lights didn’t work but we didn’t care about that, otherwise I’m sure they would have fixed it if we asked. Haha. All of the employees we interacted with were all super friendly! I wish there were more options provided to get water (or fill water bottles) besides just the gym, but that’s just me being picky I guess cause I like having water with me 😂🙈 Would definitely stay here again!

The toilet was clogged so I went to the desk to get help at 6 am. The clerk went searching for a plunger but couldn’t find one and told me to wait til the shift changed at 8 am and maybe the next crew would know where it was. IT… as in ONE plunger for the entire hotel?! So much for getting on the road early. The beds were hard, the pillows were flat, and the AC unit sounded like a truck idling in the room. I’m done with Holiday Inn. This was no Holiday!

I spent over 40 minutes making an international mobile call, with an Autistic adult who was getting increasingly agitated,while reception were also taking to hotels.com. It was eventually sorted but it did not put hotels.com in a good light. The desk man at the hotel, Steven, was a star.

1St Time In Colorado, and loved the Hotel For all that it provided from access from the airport, and its proximity, to the great morning breakfast. Easy Access to highways to go beyond the Denver area, and the homely feel. Great Stay, I would stay again in a heartbeat!!

No towels in the pool area. Sunday morning, we were eating in the breakfast area, and they ran out of coffee. I looked around for about 5 minutes and didn’t see any staff, so I walked out to the front desk and nicely told the clerk. He replied, “ I don’t work in there” I told him I know, but hoped you would let them know. Clerk was male, short dark brown hair, with at least 4 ear piercings and a black leather studded bracelet. Shower was only warm even with the knob turned all the way to the red (hot). Not a terrible stay, but definitely not up to Holiday Inn standards.

May was the manager who takes zero accountability. She doesn't deserve to be managing the hotel IMO. I had my expensive shorts burnt due to a defective iron box. Had I burnt their blanket, I would have been charged an hefty amount. She made me come to the lobby 4 times and follow up with her. They took my number but never bothered to call me nor replace the item after the incident. All she said was 'I can aplogize' which is not worth a single penny.

The lights were not working correctly in the room. The water for showers was cold, we spoke to front desk. They said they turned the boiler up but there was no improvement. The breakfast was not kept up with the amount of traffic.

There was a strong sewage smell when we checked in, however, it was taken care of after calling the front desk. Some broken tiles on the bathroom floor and mismatched towels, but overall, a decent stay for the price.

My visit at this hotel was business related. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance. I felt the property was fairly safe. There were some house keeping issues which may have been a bigger concern had been there for an extended stay. I dont think those issues are necessarily refective of the overall property. Would likely stay again.

Don’t stay here. Old. Dirty. Towels frayed. The Kleenex was just stuffed back in the box and the waste baskets had no liners. Sketchy neighborhood. Was disgusting. Sheets were stained, too.

We always stay at Holiday Inns when we travel because they are always great. This time, although the staff were amazing and the rooms were very clean, the bed was rock hard amd EXTREMELY painful to sleep on. The staff was nice enough to allow us extra pillows that we had to sleep on to try to relieve some of the pain. Also, tryong to sleep in when you arrive late the previpus night is impossible, as the doors to each room slams closed and people don't close them quietly. We will be staying elsewhere next time mainly due to the beds. We paid quite a bit just to be able to lay our heads somewhere at night and we couldn't even do that comfortably.

Upon checking the room, the trash cans were missing trash bags. When asked the cleaning staff, I was told to grab the bags from the cart instead of adding them themselves. I think making sure that all rooms are ready to go before having guest come in would be ideal.

I stayed one night. Try to get a refund for the other 2 nights. Because I couldn't stay there after the first night. I ended up. Paying for another hotel for the last 2 nights. I would never stay there again.

The excellent review is probably employee made, which is unfortunate because the hotel is really fairly good. Exceptions are we had holes in the bedding, ice machines only on certain floors, and the eggs and sausage links were cold, while the sausage patties were dry and hard. Also you can hear the neighbors in the next room when trying to sleep.

We were woken at 3am by water leaking through the ceiling of our bathroom. It was dirty water. Duty Manager was called and left and no response. Water stopped. No clean up. Unable to sleep for rest of night and unable to use shower or toilet. No compensation was provided or alternative room. Very poor service.

Overall, a nice hotel. The bed was not very comfortable and the bathroom floor was a little creaky, meaning it made a noise when walked on, but at least it was clean. Really enjoyed the breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

We were in town for a family funeral. Our 3 day stay was overall comfortable and we only encountered one hiccup with internet. The front desk guy didn’t have a clue. He ended up doubly charging us by rebooking our stay to “fix” the issue. Thankfully the morning desk person was able to salvage the situation by reimbursing us although it did take a few days to credit back to our card.

The front desk staff were awesome! We had lots of questions because we're moving to Denver and the ladies at the reception desk were so helpful and friendly.
