Good

No argument about a full refund. Other than that Nothing. The pool was out of order, the laundry was out of order, the room was nasty and so was the actual property Everything. -main “selling points” unavailable - room was gross , broken furniture, broken tv/remote, mini fridge almost fell over on me. We found a used bar of soap in my child bed which was the final nail that made me ask for a refund.

However, the outside corridors were filthy and smelled horrible near the garbage. The interior wall between the 2 beds had something spilled on it, the floors were filthy in the corners. The bathroom had dirty walls. No hand towels or washcloths were provided. The floor lamp shade was partly crushed. The breakfast was as expected, but spilled food was on the floor and the tables were slow to be wiped clean. We were in room 109.

Nothing I found blood on the sheets, the blanket was dirty, the floor (both inside and out) was very dirty, the air conditioner was very noisy and didn't work well, and the toilet was stained with urine.

Called ahead before making reservations to make sure the pool was open for the month. Got confirmation it was. Upon check in I asked again and the front desk confirmed it and gave the hours of operation. Next day my family was ready to swim and it was closed for maintenance for the remainder of the weekend during our stay. Seems like you’ll have to triple or quadruple check on the amenities.

The pool wasn't in service, water in shower was barely warm, no shampoo or conditioner. Bar soaps were tiny and broke in half. We were finally given shampoo on the last night. I don't believe I will be staying there again.

Plan to stay here but when we showed up the pool was full of algae the ladder was broken and the pool area smelled terrible. Decided not to even stay there and book a different hotel

The rooms were dirty, the towels appeared to be used before us, the pool & hot tub were filthy, grime and trash floating in the pool, the overheard in the pool was broken, & cracks, We were concerned walking in the would suddenly crash down on us. I will not rent here parking was overcrowded, as for staff, not very friendly

The hotel room walls were white and covered with hand prints and smeared dirt. The garbage can was directly outside my door and overflowing. The pool and hot tub look green and dirty. The guests were noisy until 2am, pounding on the adjacent wall. The water was turned off for an hour or more and I was in able to take a shower. When the water was turned back on it ran cold for 2 minutes before it began to warm up. Never warmed to a comfortable shower temperature!!

My room had a jacuzzi tub it was not clean their bathrooms were poorly set up. I myself is a housekeeper too so I know the dos and don'ts of a room when you have a deposit down. The lady at the desk argued me over cigarette butt down next to the front door so that I smoked in the room I don't smoke in hotel rooms and I don't let anyone I'm with or anyone that comes by to smoke in a hotel room especially one in my name and she took my hundred dollar deposit over one cigarette butt the room didn't smell like cigarettes she's in the bathroom she wanting cigarettes it did not

The breakfast was decent, but the rooms were horrible, mine had broken bed frame, the tub drain was broken, 2out of 3 nights had no hot water. The swimming pool was alge covered, the filtration system was not on or being used. They had floating chlorine units half were empty. And my son cut his toe open on the bottom of the pool. Should have listened to my gut and stayed out of it. The hot tub was broken and disgusting. Another in our party tried using the laundry and almost had their clothes ruined

This place is a dump! After checking in, we went out and purchased disinfectant wipes to clean the room. Not only was the furniture nasty/dirty, but so were the walls and doors. The attempted repairs and remodel were also done poorly!

Nothing Pool was dirty smelt like mold, kids were unable to swim. Had crack heads stomping, arguing and yelling all night from midnight till 7 am. Called the office multiple times in the middle of the night with no response. Walked to office and it was closed. Room was dirty and all of my family woke up with bites all over. Mentioned all the issue at check out and the office staff said to just send an email. Didn’t even care

It was okay for a lower-priced room. The bedroom laminate floor was due for a good scrubbing. The outlets by the vanity mirror are old & a curling iron plug would not stay plugged in. The people running the place were nice enough though.

Could not even spend the night there. We had to get another hotel. It was worth paying for 2 hotels just to not stay at this run down, dirty looking property. The price is NOT worth it! And the pictures did not show the accuracy of the property.

The room was not well kept. Holes in the wall and wooden trim missing. No hot water. It was wintertime and the air-conditioning was on and set on as low as it could be. The metal bed rails stuck out about 3" beyond the beds and would catch your leg. We finally got hot water (It wasn't turn on) it took over 20 minutes to get to the room. The next morning we didn't hot water again and they said just turn it on and let it run for about 10 or 15 minutes and it would get hot. My worst experience in a hotel room in 60 years.

Customer service is very bad. I'm a return customer and they treat me like I'm some kind of street scum, I will not go back to that motel again. They are terrible. The rooms are very cheap, their floors are buckled and I got nothing but cold water out of the out of the tub. I will not return to them again and asking for a deposit when I'm a return customer and it's been a week now and they still have not released my deposit, I'm gonna have to go back and fight them to get my deposit back. Terrible service.

The bedding was dirty when we arrived, it was freezing in the room, it looks like they are trying to upgrade, but in the meantime, they have electrical lines exposed no covers on outlets where there’s wires exposed, and there was literally a whole in the wall where the window in the bathroom was supposed to be. It was covered with a cardboardbox. It probably shouldn’t be rented out until they make it safe and clean

Clean room, and property appears well maintained. Noisy from US 550 traffic and from the heating/cooling units in the rooms. TV didn't work; took a while for the staff person to free himself to fix the TV, and then a while to fix it.

The staff were super friendly, down tovearth friendly, not fake friendly. They were also helpful and prompt about it when I had trouble with the tv. Rooms were clean and breakfast was very good. How coffee, tea, and water available at all hours & free.

Property had mold and roaches . When told about it they acted like it didn’t surprise them and didn’t want to give me a refund at first . Then after hours of calls back and forth finally issues a refund but told us we had 30 minutes to leave or they will charge us for a full day. Ended up going to comfort inn and they charged me.a pet fee of 40 dollars when I didn’t even stay a full day. Do not stay here, they are thief’s

I’m a pretty easy going person. My husband had a hip replacement and I booked this hotel to get a good night sleep and a hot shower. I let the front desk know I’d be checking in between 10-10:30pm. When I arrived there was a sign saying ring the bell on the front desk for service. I rang it, no answer, I called the front desk no answer, rang the bell again no answer. I thought maybe he had to step out. At one point I could hear someone so I rang the bell again and called out. After 20 minutes I decided to just leave and go get another hotel. Just then he showed. Once I got to my room it smelled like someone had been smoking in it and that they tried to cover it up with what smelled like a powerful deodorizer. My eyes instantly started to water. The king bed was cozy. Next morning went to take shower ice cold water. I informed the front desk and got “sorry” I took a cold sponge bath with the tattered wash cloth they provided. Before heading back to the hospital I went to grab a couple yogurts and the refrigerator was hot and all the yougurts were hot.

The room furnishings need to be fixed. Some of the drawers were broken. Bathroom needed a night light. The bed was comfortable.

Pool and hot not in service again

This is a good stop over hotel, nothing fancy. The upgrades to the room are done very sloppy, paint drips, areas not finished painted, just overall looks like a poor job of remodeling.

My 2 recommendations 1 replace the dresser 2, add shears to the windows so you can open the curtains during the day and not feel like a fish everyone staring at you

We had to wait over a half hour to check in as no one was at the front desk. We only stayed one night and that was more than enough for us.

I could hardly open my room door with 2 hands. Motel is in a state of disrepair and needs to be updated!

Older hotel. Not what was expected in a Baymount Wyndham hotel. It’s in name only. Could you a major renovation.

WAY OVERPRICED! We are not one to complain about our stay usually but this place was bad. First thing we noticed was that our room window was cracked and inside had holes in the bathroom and in the closet. There was painters tape left on the windows. The room look like it was never finished from building it. Overall it was not clean. I would not recommend staying here. Hopefully they can use this review as a motivator to finish the room and clean it.

The facility in the bath did not work. Called the front desk, to be told the maintenance person was on the way. 30 minutes later, called again. Told 5 maybe 10 minutes out. Another 30 still no one. Personal visit to the desk. Asked for another room, told there was none. Asked for a refund, miraculously a room became available. Second goon:no television and it smaller. Toilet leaking at the base. Another front desk visit. Refund granted. Not someplace I’ll visit again. EVER!

The hotel is very dated compared to the photos on here, one of the rooms they wanted to put us in had a broken window (they did move us when we asked to be) but that room shouldn’t have been an option to begin with.

We were so disappointed with this hotel. It was dark, dirty and disgusting. There were transient people hanging around, our room smelled, we weren't sure of what. We checked in and checked out 5 mins later. When we told the front desk why we were leaving, they did offer another room however, the overall vibe of this hotel was terrible. I would NEVER EVER RECOMMEND this hotel. The girl at the desk said she would refund my money when the manager returned but when Expedia called to obtain my refund they refused. This hotel is NOT WORTH A PENNY! The beds were thin, the AC was old and the whole place needs to be demolished! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. The room was uninviting. The parking lot was dark, had old sofas and trash laying around. There were workers sitting on an old sofa outside next to our room watching the TV from outside and smoking. The lobby seemed to have either workers or the family of the staff hanging around. It was more like an hourly hotel than any property by Wyndham. Whyndham should be ashamed to have their name on this property! I WANT A REFUND! This property is so desparate they won't even refund $106! And I had a $42 CREDIT FROM EXPEDIA so the rate of this room was close to $150! This honestly was the worst property. And how hard up must the owners be that they won't even refund $106! PATHETIC is being kind!

Was not told when signed in that room was only serviced and fresh towels furnished if requested. Found out about this policy when I went to front desk. This should be disclosed by Hotels.com in the description of the property. Had I know about this policy, I would have selected a different hotel.

Not a well maintained property. Free breakfast was cold and burnt. Front desk was never at the front desk. Won't be staying at this motel again.

Floor was sticky.

The outside of the property needs to be maintained better. The pool was none functional and looked like a storage area, outside garbages were overflowing. Room was clean although the lights above the vanity needed to be replaced, only one was working.

Likes: adequate parking. Dislikes: room in poor shape & in need of major repairs; breakfast on 1st day was not stocked; no daily maid service & no clean linens-were told we have to REQUEST it. In 50+ years using motels & hotels, NEVER had to ask for daily service. Not what we expected for $170+ per day.

We switched rooms to the one next door and although the floor felt dirty as well and the coffee pot had to be taken to an outlet, was more comfortable. Also the price was outrageous for two nights in this hotel.

Unfortunately this stay was a disaster. They advertised that they had a pool and hot tub but neither were in working condition. Then as we were trying to checkout the next morning there was no personnel to speak of, no one at the desk or anywhere else. No breakfast or coffee- hours posted was 6am-9:00am for breakfast we were there at 6:45-7:00 and there was nothing. The rooms were clean but the walls are paper thin and need updating. The stay was less than desirable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

This is NOT a hotel. It is an outdated MOTEL. I’m shocked it’s owned by Wyndham. Although the flooring and bathroom had been updated, the furniture had not. Our chair was worn and dirty. The bed, pillows and comforter were very comfortable and hot water was great. The staff was friendly and saw to our needs. The tv had an issue and they came right away to fix it. This motel is worth more like $60/nt, not what we paid for it! If you’re on a budget, this would be an ok place to stay, but if you’re used to an actual hotel as we are, I’d stretch the budget a bit and stay somewhere else.

Very nice property. An older hotel but refurbished with new fixtures and furnishings. Great shower. We enjoyed revisiting Durango.

There was trash everywhere. My door didn’t have a swing bar guard. The pool was closed, this should definitely be updated on their website as I saw in previous reviews that’s it’s been closed for some time. There was a very strong smoke smell. The exposed brick in the rooms was very dirty. The staff was friendly enough, but I think it really needs to be renovated.

Hotel was what I expected. Nothing fancy just the basics. Apparently there are some people living here that sat outside door with his dog. Another just hung out outside his door. Thought that was sketchy and needs to be cleaned up. Swimming pool area is apparently a storage area with no swimming possible

The room was clean but it smelled like a strong chemical. It was probably the cleaning products used. It took me a while to get used to the smell so I could sleep! Also, the ac unit was so loud we had to turn it off so we could sleep!

The bed was comfortable. The room was bare bones with no carpet on the floor. The shower was quiet. The bathroom door was sticky to shut. The breakfast was okay, with several choices. I am not a hotel snob, but this is pretty basic (minimum standard) for a room rental.

Pool was advertised as having an enclosed pool. They did not say the pool did have a permit to be open. Very disappointing. Also, they charged $20 per day for a dog. However, they had no place safe or clean for a dog to dog its business. No poop bags. No grass. Only small areas of gravel that was filled with broken glass.

The front desk people were kind and helpful. However, the first room we were assigned smelled horribly of smoke (it was non-smoking). The second room we were assigned was fine but compared to other hotels I have stayed in for similar price-points, this room was not very nice.

Our room was clean and had been recently painted. The breakfast area was cramped and there wasn't much selection. The cereal dispenser was broken, so I improvised and scooped cereal out with a plastic cup. Someone had drained the waffle batter onto the counter and the staff was in the middle of dealing with that mess as we sat down for breakfast. After we were done eating, someone brought out bacon and eggs.

We have asked for a refund or discount but have heard nothing. The shower didn’t drain, the bathroom tiles were missing, the air never stopped running, the pool was broken , the breakfast had no more waffles, eggs, and coffee. We paid $162 up front and they did not live up to their agreement on the listing but are not going a thing to correct the problem.

We had to make a last minute reservation as we were traveling through and a little afraid based on some of the other reviews. We were pleasantly surprised as the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the employees very nice. We both a a great night sleep and could finish our road trip the next morning.

We originally got this Hotel because it was a good price but also we thought it had a pool. We checked in and they told us the pool wasn't been working for years. But it doesnt say that on the website. So that was disappointing. Also, the air-conditioning made our room muggy.

Walls were mildewy. Plumbing was falling apart. Looked like hotel owners hadn't spent a dime on the place since the sixties.

The window next to our room had broken glass and it was a hazard to children. Also, the toilet didn’t have a lid on the tank and to fix it they painted a piece of plywood white. Pool was advertised as being open and it’s obvious that is has not been in a very long time. We will not stay here again and I encourage you to not make the mistake of staying here at all.

The hotel was nicely located. The pool was closed and marked as 'unsafe' so not sure if that was from it being dirty or something else. I found multiple bugs in my room along with a childs toy, which makes me wonder how thorough they actually clean it. The room was very spacious, pretty clean, and had everything from a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker.The AC was right by one bed which made it hard to get air to the opposite bed. Our top lock on the door was broken. The property is motel style which we were a bit iffy about but it was very quiet and no issues. The pool was closed. Breakfast was ok but the staff was on top of restocking everything.

There was NO WIFI, NO BREAKFAST, NO POOL. I had the deluxe king suite and there was mold around the tub, it reeked of smoke and bad food left from the previous people, no mirror anywhere, windows spray painted black and a door crack of 2 inches where mice can crawl under. There’s also never anyone at the desk before 3. I tried to contact them about this with Expedia but have had ZERO response.

Strange odors. Pool was closed no wifi No smart tv. Bed was very conformable. Free breakfast was like warmed up old food. Door was hard to lock. Very small coffee pot kid size. Ice machine was no where close to room for ice. During check in person could not speak english and had issues with security deposit. On 3 different cards came up as declined. But worked at bank near by and all food close by. Told them they are doing something wrong and showed the person funds in account. He said i dont know.

The tv would not work. The suggestions provided by the desk clerk over the phone did not solve the problem. She said she would send someone to our room. When no one arrived after 30 minutes and the show I wanted to watch was half over, I called the front desk back and told them to forget it, that I was going to bed. She offered to have someone fix it in the morning, but we were only staying one night. At breakfast, we arrived 30 minutes before it was due to close. There were no eggs or sausage left and no attendant to ask for more. We made do with mini muffins and coffee. An attendant arrived as we were leaving.

Scalding hot water came out of both faucets in sink and shower. Next night, no hot water. Finally got a shower third day but ran out of hot water after a few minutes.

The hotel was nice and the bed was very comfortable.

This was ok for an overnight stay, the room was fine, not as clean as i would like but doable. The parking was horrible, not enough room for larger vehicles, and there was quite a few of them, so some spaces were inaccessible. That was my biggest issue, was the parking, the lot was small and hard to maneuver.

There were missing fixtures, broken tiles, bugs, lumpy bed and not enough amenities like body wash, etc . There was no guide to the TV channels, or surrounding areas for attractions, food or activities. Mr. Patel was nice.

I saw the word Wyndham and didn't look at the pics.... This is not what other Wyndham hotels look like, this is a 2 star at best. You get what you pay for... Plus the pool was down for remodeling.

This was a disappointment. There was no rugs or carpet in the room. The floor was Sandy so I had to keep my shoes on. It was cold and I couldn’t find the thermostat. The bed had sand between the sheets so I slept on top of the bed. The bed was so hard and it was so cold.

You get what you pay for. Nothing special. Though the location is pretty convenient. Won't mind staying again.

We loved the price on this motel for the condition. If you don't need or want to stay right downtown where you can walk to everything, we definitely recommend this hotel. Nice sized room and very clean. Please be aware that the pool/hot tub in the bubble dome that this hotel has been known for is NOT open at this time. Kids may be very disappointed but we were not planning on swimming anyway.

I skied at Purgatory, and this hotel is on the way. I thought the room worked out perfectly. I would definitely stay again.

After going through the online check in process, I had to do it all over again in person. This was redundant & time consuming.

The walls are so thin and poorly insulated that you can hear the folks next door breathing. Toilet is not full size and very shallow i wont be staying here again and shall give this to my community friends in Durango

While we understood that we selected this property based on budget and location, we were appalled at the condition of it. Upon entry, we noticed immediately that the light switch cover plate was completely missing, exposing the wiring. There were multiple items of concern: every time we switched a light on, we were slightly shocked, the fire/ carbo monoxide alarm cover was missing/ not installed, wiring conduit exposed, poor insulation around the door to the extent that you could see light - this includes the ac wall unit, wallpaper peeling off the bathroom walls, telephone disconnected - so no way to reach front desk, Direct TV not working, tried plugging in a phone charger and it became VERY hot, our room keys were assigned by a child - which then did not work. Our room was adjacent to what appears to be a laundry area possibly. The connecting door was about 2 inches high from the floor - so no real privacy. Also, we understood the ongoing construction, but the property itself is not maintained and certainly not maintained for safety as it relates to construction. We stayed because we were barely there - really only needed beds. However, we will not be staying ever again or recommending it.

You get what you pay for. I wanted a cheap place to lay my head for the night and that’s what I got. Overall everything was fine. My biggest issue was water temperature. I took a shower at 10:00am and lukewarm was the best I could do.
