Quality Inn Durango

We were thankful they let us in with our 2 dogs even after paying and the dog rooms were full. Clean room, beds were cozy, good night sleep on our travels.

The breakfast needed some help. I don't like to start my day with sugar and carbs, but those were the only options. It would be nice to have some protein available. I, and others I saw, walked in, looked the breakfast items over, then just walked back out.

Love the location and that they had out door space to set and eat or even cook if you wanted to. I was disappointed that our room was not cleaned when we were out. On the 2nd day I actually spoke to the housekeeper to fix my bed. When we got back my beds were not made.

Rooms were small and the carpet was stained and needs to be replaced. Rooms near Main St. were loud with traffic. Motorcycle gang ran their engines outside way too long. One positive. The front staff was nice and helpful.

The air conditioner was noisy and a little hard to figure out how to operate.

Room had a lot of black mold in the bathroom. Must have been a pet room because of pee stains on the walls & the scratched up door. Room smelled musty, exhaust fan did not work. Very dated.

The breakfast was weak at best.

The smell of the room was stagnant with an unpleasant odor, had to go get some frebreeze to spray the entire room, helped a bit, just didn't want to move when I needed a street level room. Also, I didn't need a phone call to my room at 10:40, because the housekeeper want to clean the room, wasn't 11am check out?! Lost gratuity, especially when I leave a tighty room. Smell of the room!

This hotel was an older property and it has some issues. The inside door safety bar was broken. The free breakfast was very disappointing with the fact it wasn't even a Continental breakfast. Lacking very much. Otherwise just for an overnight stay ot was ok.

Location was good, husband could walk to Walgreens, restaurants around the area. No pool. Rooms were clean but they could update their mattress and painting.

I enjoy the location in the sense that it is in walking distance to many places on Main Street as well as the Animas river is steps away . I did not enjoy the price with breakfast included considering their breakfast options were that of Covid breakfast options. .. just waffles, one juice option , cereal and some yogurt … I have been here before with a full fresh breakfast … was disappointed . I would not advertise breakfast for those few options….

My room was nice and near the office. The room was clean and stocked with coffee as well as microwave and fridge. That was perfect for me. The lobby had a very limited continental breakfast. I wished the windows would stay open to let in the fresh Colorado air. Oh and the water was nice and hot and good water pressure too.

Loved the services we got Hsekp staff were nice and helpful, no problems with the front dest. Rooms were comfy and cleaned. I would over eater the with great service. Keep up the great work and always making your customers the first priority's.

Booked a king, was given room with two queens. They said they were over booked. Breakfast is waffles, yoghurt, cereal, apples, coffee. Suggest toast and maybe some protein option.

Double booked so didnt use reservation hotel was not helpful with cancelation.

Room was nice, a bit on the small side. Clean, comfortable, quiet. Plenty of hot water and the shower pressure was excellent. Had to ask for more towels but not a big deal. Staff was courteous and helpful.

Clean. The heater/AC was in the back, our of the way. Onsite staff were pleasant. The back of the comfy chairs had scraped some of the blue paint from the wall. I had to move the desk so that the power cord for my laptop would reach and then the cord for the desk lamp (plugged in behind the bureau and TV) barely reached. Totally unexpected, the bathtub was quite narrow and I had trouble turning around to stand up for the shampoo and conditioner, which in turn were hard to use; I give the tub setup a 5 only. I didn't use the breakfast either morning.

Room was very nice and clean with a comfortable bed. This was a terrific room for the price. The staff was very friendly. We walked across the street to Zia Taqueria/Cantina for their Happy Hour.

The motel was ok. Continental breakfast was very sparse and subpar. The rooms were thin-walled and loud.

seal on room door is so loose/falling apart that the door lock doesn’t always engage(safety issue). This also allows a heavy draft of cold air and noise from street to be in the room at all times

The room was ok, the floor was cracked in the bathroom and there wasn't much ventilation. Wouldn't recommend for someone sensitive to mold, but otherwise it was fine. We booked a pet-friendly room, but was put in a non-pet room, then found out after the fact there's a pet-fee wasn't apparent on the original booking.

The room was perfectly adequate. The manager was very knowledgeable of things around Durango and made our trips out into the historic town and surrounding areas interesting. The laundry lady was also a very pleasant and helpful person.

Clean rooms

I was staying in an old, refitted 1970's style two story motor lodge. One of the usual types adorning the entry into a town.

Some guests were noisy and played electric guitars.

Pleasant stay

Whether this is on the hotel or third party, still insane. We were told that if you are “local” you have to pay a $200 cash deposit. I could not find this stated on the website, in fact it specifically says this hotel does not take cash payments. I’m not sure if the third party should be in charge of fixing this, or if the hotel needs to get in contact with them to fix this. We were also given conflicting information when we arrived. After telling us it was $200, he said he was actually $500 but was doing us this favor. I also asked if local just meant anywhere in CO and we were told yes, but when we said we lived in Denver and had a license to show it, that was not considered local. I’m not sure if it was just miscommunication, but it was confusing and not helpful. Someone needs to fix this information asap, especially because if you don’t get the cash you don’t get a refund on the room.

Room isn't clean. They will take more money from you saying their uncleanliness on you. Customer service is horrible. Highly recommend going elsewhere. There are other options near.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, but no protein. Parking was easy but loved how close restaurants and shopping were to the hotel. The Animas River was close enough to walk to and loved hearing and seeing the train go by (close enough to enjoy, but not so close that it was loud and disruptive).

The hotel room was outdated. The carpeted baseboards were coming off in the carpet felt sticky. The beds were comfortable, and the pillows were fluffy.

We booked this as a place to stay for a night after I had just gotten out of the hospital in Durango. We walked into the room and the smell of chemical cleaning products was overwhelming. Even my husband got nauseous and a headache. The front desk gal was very nice and would have refunded us if we hadn't booked through hotels.com (The booking was non-refundable.) She even offered for us to see a room in another building that a different cleaning lady cleaned. Unfortunately, the place was dark and old and just not welcoming. We opted to find another hotel. We should have just spent the extra $40 in the first place, instead of wasting $86 on a room we couldn't use and having to get another room at another hotel. Ugh. When are hotels going to learn that chemical cleaning product smell does not equal clean, it equals toxic!

Room clean

Basically bailed on me. Facility rang me and left a message, but no details. Rang back within a few minutes, but only received automated roundabouts. Arrived and informed no hot water for the room and no other rooms available. Told I should have called back, and showed on my phone I had in fact done so. Not very helpful with an “Oh well, too bad” attitude. Ended up having to find alternative accommodation.

Got the last first floor room, by agreeing to take a Pet Friendly room. We had no Pet. Room was pretty worn. Beds noisy when you moved felt like sleeping on cardboard. Dark room one lamp. Advertised breakfast more like continental breakfast. Never did see ice machine/vending. Won’t stay again!

Motel was nice, but I’ve stayed in nicer Quality Inns. The room was smaller than most. The room was clean, but I thought it was overpriced. Breakfast was lacking in selection.

The staff were nice. The property was as I would expect for an older motel. Our room however had multiple box elder bugs inside including on the bedding. The staff were kind about it, and there was little they could do given the property had no vacancies to be able to move us. But still….I don’t expect to have to share my room with bugs sorry.

The front staff was very friendly and helpful! The room was clean. The beds were not comfortable. The toilet flushed but only if you held down the handle until the tank was empty. You could hear conversations from the adjoining room and outside. The breakfast was limited.

booked same day-expedia had two queens on the site. arrived at location to be told no more rooms with that config were available. Fine, we can make do with three guests. Pull out couch did not have bedding-front desk did not have access to bedding closet so had to use extra blanket and existing pillows to make it work. Front desk was apologetic and as helpful as could be but not a great experience.

The property is on the older side but was well cleaned. The staff is friendly and helpful. With that said, we ran out of conditioner after just one use. Hair dryer was broken. The only options for breakfast are waffles, yogurt, apples, cold cereal, instant oatmeal. The AC unit is near the sink and doesn't bother with loud sound at night. Location is within walking distance to a few restaurants and a grocery store. It's quiet and near a hiking trail. I would probably stay here again.

Everything was fine, clean rooms, my keys and paperwork were already organized when I arrived so check-in went quickly, breakfast was simple but good. The hotel was full or nearly full so parking was a bit challenging but probably just enough spaces if you didn't mind parking further from your room.

It was quite noisy where we stayed. We could hear guest next door and upstairs, and teenagers talking and cursing loudly in the early morning. The room smelled bad when we checked in. The AC didn't work quite right. It was one of the worst places we've stayed at for the price we paid. Good thing we only need to stay for one night. Definitely not on our list if we're in Durango again.

Complained and asked to be refunded for the 2nd night and we would stay elsewhere, but was told the booking was non-refundable. Went to talk to manager the next day as room booked for 2 nights and was told the room only booked for 1 night but was charged for 2. No refund was given for the second night even though the second night stay was canceled and not by me.

building was under repair. Rooms were in poor condition. Floors need to be replaced. bathrooms floor did not meet tub. Overall all very high priced for condition.

Extremely limited breakfast options, especially for those with gluten-free allergies. Expect more for the price per night. Front office/other staff we passed were very friendly.

Room was good, comfortable bed, refrigerator, good Shower & Air Conditioning. Noise level minimal. Breakfast was limited both in area to eat size wise and the variety of food selection also restricted, however the room cost was good...so they have to squeeze out a profit somehow. I would stay there again it worked great esp. for a business trip....it worked great 5 min from hotel where workshop was sited....@ 3 x's the lodging cost of the Quality INN.

Breakfast time was till 9 Am, at 8:30 Am they did not have anything. Microwave was locked, when we asked about it, staff asked back rudely that do you know how to operate microwave, later she unlocked it.Terrible Hotel, will never stay or recommend it to anyone.

The employees are rude and disrespectful the breakfast is horrible and the room wasn't even clean.

Overall property was clean and maintained. The room was clean and spacious, but floors were a little dusty; however, was expected since hardwood floors usually get dusty. There were two front desk agents at the desk when I arrived, and my interaction with the female representative was not the greatest. She was rude and made me feel unwelcomed. As for the second agent, he was super friendly and understood my frustration with a required $500 cash deposit. He explained the required deposit and lowered it to $100, which was much more affordable for my family. Breakfast was quite good and it was more of a grab & go breakfast. There is a waffle maker available as a hot breakfast option along with oatmeal. The room felt a little stuffy overnight, but the room windows open which gave better air circulation in the room. Regardless of my interaction with front desk, I wouldn't mind staying again.

Staff was friendly and courteous. Floors in the room were very dirty. The diverter spout in shower did not work properly. Found an unopened bottle of whiskey under the sheets. Too bad I don’t drink whiskey. Overall it was just an ok experience.

Front desk person fixed check in problem very quickly. On line reservation messed up.

I wiped up spilled water with a white towel and the floor was filthy.
