Noisy, next room tv loud all night.
- 5/5
Clean room, assigned parking
- 1/5
Terrible check in process, had to walk back to the office because the room was taken then had to get new keys made because the original key stopped working. Parking is a bit tight if you drive something bigger than a Chevy spark.
- 4/5
The price, for a night or two it's ideal
- 3/5
The location is good. There is a coffee shop/ bakery across the street, which is good as there is no coffee in-room. Our shower was missing a diffuser, so hopefully that will be addressed for the next guest.
- 5/5
Staff is super helpful!! The night manager was extremely helpful….thank you!!
- 4/5
I stayed in the King kitchenette room and would recommend this for other Solo travelers or even a couple. There was an impressive amount of counter space, a full-sized fridge, coffee maker, pots and pans and kitchenware, cooktop, and everything else you would need to prepare a simple meal in your room. There were even a few pantry items left over from previous guests. And it was all at a reasonable price, under a hundred bucks a night. Kind of like an extended stay room but slightly more affordable and right in downtown Durango. A good option for a short-term or a longer-term stay. The building is old but they've done a decent job maintaining it. "Budget" is in the name, and you might see a couple shady characters around, but it's perfectly safe and an affordable option
- 3/5
There aren’t any extras including cups for water. The parking is tight.
- 2/5
Room and property were overall clean, just old and not kept up. The ice machine was broken, the room fridge was stinky with a towel in it. There was no hot water in the shower. I would not recommend this place.
- 2/5
Parking was fine. The desk host was very friendly and informative. Room felt old, dated and worn. The price was great, but remember you get what you pay for.
- 1/5
The microwave was filthy, crack below the door to the outside allowed plenty of cold air in, floor was peeling, bedding appeared used and unwashed, bathroom window dirty and full of bugs. No heat. We will never return!
- 4/5
It is an older outdated inn that is reasonably priced and good location. For the price point you get what you pay for. Which is a place to sleep and clean up. If you are looking for more than that, this is probably not the place for you. The staff is always great to me and the reason I have stayed multiple times when I am on a budget.
- 2/5
Room was dirty
- 4/5
The only thing was the rug. It is old and needs a new rug. There were no towels or rags. Other than, it was ok.
- 4/5
It was clean. Good overall. But, there should be 2 or 3 handsoap, instead of 1. And, shampoo. It was a nice stay.
- 3/5
I had ok stay in ok place.
- 4/5
Not bad for budget friendly
- 5/5
Check-in was quick. Friendly and accomaditing staff.
- 5/5
Clean room, decent price and friendly staff.
- 3/5
It was clean but the room was very small
- 3/5
There was a hole in the ceiling
- 3/5
Not so good.
- 3/5
The hotel is quite worn, but the location was good and it was all I needed at that moment.

The sheets on my bed had what looked like blood splatter..I told the desk but didn’t seem concerned. There was a hair stuck on the shower wall. The floors were gritty like it had sand or something on it…You could not be barefoot. Faucet in the bathroom was so loose. I was afraid it was going to fall off. Other than in the bathroom, the only outlet was by the lamp and one of them did not work. My son also had a room and his ceiling was falling. The only thing good was the price, but I don’t think it was worth it.
- 4/5
In town late and left early. Worked fine for what we needed.
- 5/5
No kitchen, parking was safe..clean rooms
- 4/5
It is a good place. Away from the road.
- 5/5
Could use some updates.
- 5/5
Great location (nice coffee shop and healthy food across the street); clean and quiet; super easy parking in front of the room
- 1/5
The bathtub was covered with mold, very small room, noisy HVAC, poor lighting,
- 3/5
This is a budget hotel - says so in the name. Expect sirens, a lot of foot traffic, and putting a quarter in to get ice from the machine. Tiny room, train whistles early in the morning, hopefully you are here just to sleep and you have ways of sleeping through less than great conditions. Otherwise the front desk clerk was nice and friendly, you get an assigned parking space, I saw a lot of the traffic was actually other travelers, some of whom are visiting from other countries. Just don't expect too much quiet and comfort.
- 1/5
The bathtub needed new caulking, it was black around the wall. I could not see my car where it was parked and worried about it. The other guests were very noisy and there was no way to avoid it. If I complained I don't think it would be safe for the staff to fix the situation.
- 4/5
For what you pay it is a very good value especially for what other hotels are charging.
- 2/5
Tub wouldn't hold water. Sink wouldn't drain. Idiot next door turned on the TV, at 4:30am, and kept it on all morning. Our particular assigned parking spot was basically, on the street. Room is so small, you have to turn sideways, to move around. Our room seemed to be clean; however, our (grown) son's room was not very clean. The good news is, it's cheap, by today's standards.
- 4/5
NA
- 4/5
Goof
- 2/5
Room was EXTREMELY SMALL, only 1 person could get by the end of bed & dresser. Bed was not a true queen size, it was equal to a double sized bed.
- 2/5
Parking is tight. No kitchen and no breakfast as well as no in-room coffee! That should be a basic amenity
- 5/5
Good place
- 5/5
This is an older motel in Durango. The staff was friendly and helpful and fast. The room was very clean and smellwd nice. Located near downtown. We would stay again.
- 1/5
This place is extremely basic—they only offer coffee at 8 a.m. Literally, this is the only amenity they have. If this is the kind of experience I can expect here, I’d honestly prefer staying at a Motel 6. In fact, some Motel 6 locations are better than this one.
- 1/5
Nasty smell upon entering the room, looked like some tried to wash blood off the walls, huge gouge im the ceiling, dingy gray towels and sheets and the toilet didn't flush, obvious sign when there was a nasty plunger in the bathroom. I wouldn't recommend this motel to my dog. Budget priced at $90.
- 4/5
Room was clean and had everything I needed for my two night stay. Close to coffee shops and restaurants.
- 4/5
An older motel. Needs updated. Needs completed repairs and paint. Room faced a busy 4 lane highway - super noisy. Parking is dangerous due to being just off the highway.
- 3/5
The positive is a medium fridge and microwave!
- 3/5
Beds were hard. Property needs to be cleaned up. No coffee or shampoos in room. Charges for ice.
- 3/5
Very, very old motel and very, very small. However, it was clean and the bed was fine. Just needed a place to be able to sleep for a night. Back in the day this would have been a $25 motel. Crazy to spend what just a few years ago would have gotten me a Comfort Inn. Oh well, it was okay for one night.
- 3/5
Motel out of the 50s. Had to pay for ice. Way over priced for what you get. Needs a complete update. I think they tried with what they have to work with.
- 2/5
Alleged new flooring was buckling in several places which was a tripping risk. Tile floor in bathroom was badly cracked. Bathroom sink did not drain adequately and missing a stopper. No Kleenex provided. On the plus side, management provided rags to clean motorcycle and woman at desk was clear with instructions. But the room should not have been available to clients in that condition.
- 3/5
This place is called budget inn. It is clean, friendly and many rooms are very spacious. I travel a lot and for the price great place to stay. Just don't expect 4seasons hotel
- 2/5
Dirty blankets and carpets
- 5/5
Affordable lodging.
- 3/5
The location is perfect. It is close to a number of attractions in downtown Durango. The parking was okay. You have to drive through narrow alleys to leave. The room itself was comfortable and clean. The disappointing part was the linens and towels. It was evident they were laundered, but considering they are all white, they were all dingy and stained. The towels were super thin and rough feeling. Price wise, if you just want a place to sleep that is clean and plan on being out and about most of the time, pack your own towels and pillow and this will be a good place to stay.
- 2/5
Very low end
- 2/5
Noisy - Door <50' off very busy street. Extremely tight parking
- 5/5
Very good
- 3/5
The carpet had breadcrumbs are small pieces of paper on it need to be shampooed. Carpet is pretty dirty air conditioner needed the filter cleaned does for so thick. It’s hanging out of it but other than that the bed was nice. The sheets for cleaning the bathroom is clean.
- 4/5
Older property and not much to look at outside , but very friendly and accommodating lady at front desk. No breakfast but free coffee in the morning. AC and tv worked well. I'll definitely stay again if I am in the area. Had a nice breakfast at Dennys down the street and a grocery store across the street.
- 4/5
It’s an older hotel and shows some ages but room was clean, clean towels, and comfortable bed. For the price I couldn’t complain much.
- 2/5
Poorly maintained motel, staff was nice, one of the worst we have stayed at, will not stay again.
- 4/5
And older but clean hotel. The room was basic and adequate. Nice location, nearby, restaurants, and coffee shops. I will stay here again.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean comfortable room. Easy access
- 3/5
rep at frond desk was very rude
- 4/5
Air conditioning
- 4/5
Kind of run down and unpainted
- 1/5
The room was nothing like the photo in the ad. Could barely get the door opened to enter be cause the bed was so close Smallest hotel room ever. Very outdated.
- 4/5
Ltd restaurants within walking distance.
- 2/5
Normally, I'd say you get what you pay for, except I don't consider $86/night chopped liver and I've stayed in perfectly decent motels for that price. This Budget Inn was, to put it politely, w-a-y subpar. Threadbare towels, and A/C unit and a refrigerator both so noisy they prevented sleep, a non-working microwave (or, rather, it worked if you jiggled the power cord which had been "repaired" with electrical tape). Just awful.
- 3/5
When they say budget, they mean it. Great if you're on a budget, but it's certainly nothing to write home about, also the TV is garbage.
- 3/5
Property needs some improvements
- 1/5
Stains on box springs of bed. Mold in seems of bathroom.
- 4/5
Nice
- 2/5
I will say this. The lady working the front desk was awesome and did everything right. The rooms on the other hand are quite awful. The bathtub/shower had mold in the grout. The drain had a nasty amount of hair in it (not mine) and after inspecting my blanket I noticed blood stains on them. Front desk gave me a note blanket and I suffered thru 2 nights because the room was already paid for. Don’t recommend.
- 5/5
The rooms were a bit dusty/dirty and very old looking. Looked to be some mildew in the bathtub and no lights in the bathroom. Parking was a bit of a struggle. Very tight spaces.
- 4/5
This hotel has seen better days. The bed pillows were very uncomfortable.
- 5/5
Perfect for travelers who just need a nice, quiet, spacious place with an excellent kitchen area and large bed!!!
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Small parking lot
- 5/5
Austin at the front Desk. He is awesome. Bilingual, very educated and friendly.
- 3/5
Shower had mold in the shower
- 3/5
When I entered the room, it was very small. I wasn’t expecting that. To go in front of the bed to get to the bathroom there was about 12 inches and a dresser. When entering the bathroom, the window was open about a 1/2 inch and it could not be opened or closed. The towels were stained and a dingy grey. When I was showering, the wash cloth I used was very dirty!!!! 😳 The bed was great, the air conditioner was blowing cold. The floor looked like it was new, not too bad. I needed to get ice for my cooler and it cost .25 cents for 2 small ice buckets! There was not coffee maker but a nice small refrigerator and microwave.
- 3/5
It is fine for the price. Rooms are better looking tgan outside appearance.
- 5/5
Great value
- 2/5
I asked for towels 3 times and got 6 grossly stained towels. There was no deadbolt and they didn't provide a box of tissues or a clock. Other than that, it was fine.
- 1/5
This motel is terrible. The room was falling apart. Very dirty. I don't recommend it to anybody.
- 4/5
This was very comfortable and clean and efficient. The price was right too. However, cosmetically it needs a lot of updating.
- 3/5
Very old building
- 1/5
Room was not the size it was portrayed on the website.
- 4/5
Quiet and comfortable
- 2/5
Lady at front desk did not greet us for more than 30 seconds. Arguing w/her employee was more important. Place was a dump and not worth $135 w/tax (no perks). Location on Main St is good. Coffee shop across the street.
- 4/5
When checking in they had given away our room even though i book it weeks ago. They had to find us another room. The room we eneded up with was clean, but in need of some repairs. Very thin walls. We could hear every movement of the rooms around us. All in all you get what you pay for.
- 4/5
walking distance to town. friendly staff. poor wifi
- 3/5
Parking is tight and narrow
- 4/5
It was a clean, quiet hotel with convenient location
- 3/5
Towels were disgusting, exchanged them 2 times. Then went and bought some. Room and bedding was clean. Staff was gracious and accommodating. Decent location with trolley stop, bike path, trails, dining and grocery store nearby. An inexpensive option to enjoy Durango.
- 4/5
Check in was smooth, room was clean, bed was comfortable, room could use some maintenance, better curtains, hotel is as advertised, which is to say, I wasn’t disappointed.
- 3/5
It's like staying in Oakland California. Spooky and outdated
- 2/5
Just an old property
- 2/5
This place was rated above 4 stars. It was more like 1.5 - maybe 2 stars. It was not worth what I paid. It was very noisy, extrememely dated, the bed was terrible, headboard was sticky and my hair stuck to it when watching tv. The dresser & nightstand were very dirty. Bathroom towels & wash cloths were very thin, old, and rough. Could hear the people talking in the ajacent rooms as well as outside. The only good things I can say about the room was that the AC worked really well, very hot water, and no bugs of any sort. Again, this place was rated over 4 stars, nice advertising pictures of the rooms. But it's not what is advertised. The accomodations were not up to par for what I paid.
- 4/5
Rooms showing a bit of age however rooms were clean. Staff were friendly. Location convenient.
- 2/5
Room needs a lot of work drywall Plumbing painting baseboards Etc
- 5/5
Served my purposes
- 4/5
No breakfast 😢
- 4/5
Good location for the iron horse bicycle classic
- 1/5
It was 10 pm when we checked in. Our bed side lamp & power was broken. Reported to the front desk. His responses: can’t do anything. You don’t like it, you can just leave……
- 2/5
The place is a dump. Street noise super loud.
- 3/5
Property was clean. Coffee and restaurants within walking distance. Close drive to downtown. Basic motel that gets the job done.
- 2/5
Realy bad
- 5/5
Just what we needed and nothing we didn't. Perfect for a couple days in town.
- 5/5
My second time staying here and it was a good experience both times. Some of the furniture isn't in the best condition but otherwise the rooms are solid. For a low-budget place to stay it's pretty great and I will probably stay here again sometime.
- 4/5
Room has soft beds—has Frig. & Mwave — has good sized TV with DirecTV
- 4/5
Was fine.
- 4/5
Good location, no clothes hanging area---had to use shower rail!!
- 1/5
Clean room but totally needs renovation inside and out
- 5/5
David at the front desk was exceptionally friendly, courteous, and helpful.
- 1/5
Did not get the room I reserved and was told that I could leave and go find another hotel, bugs in the bathroom, gaps in the door that you can see through, payment not through Expedia so card I used (Affirm) didn't work for them. I will never stay here again and I'm embarrassed that I brought my husband to stay here. Very unsecure property. Sounds like the people outside the back of our room are in the room with us because the a/c unit is not sealed. Even for $100 per night, it's no deal!
- 5/5
Convenient location, easy to find, not expensive.
- 5/5
Great shower pressure and generally clean
- 5/5
Office staff was very friendly.
- 3/5
Only hotel I have ever stayed where there is NO coffee! Manager’s excuse is “I have thrown out so much coffee”. Totally unacceptable!
- 3/5
Nothing special. The price was right. Good for just staying the night.
- 1/5
Pubic hairs in bed pad and trash on the floor. Stained carpet, flimsy door.
- 4/5
I would change the name of this motel because most people associate budget with second rate and this place was not. I felt welcomed, safe and secure in this perfectly positioned room.
