This hotel was disappointing to me. The tv did not work, the guy at the desk discovered the batteries were dead, but when replaced it still would not navigate the channels. The shampoo & conditioner in the shower appeared to be empty. The Kleenex & toilet paper were like sandpaper. The exhaust fan in the bathroom did nothing. The AC was terribly noisy, making sleep difficult. I understand when there is a restaurant on the premises you pay for breakfast, but not even coffee is free??? This place is badly in need of upgrading in every way. Do not recommend,

It was clean as far as bedsheets, no dirt, etc... but when we went in it wreaked of smoke. I understand they can't control people being jerks but it was rough (maybe because I'm sensitive to that stuff due to asthma.) The rooms do not block sound, I wasn't expecting a 5 star hotel or anything, but we ended up needing to move rooms due to it. The staff were amazing and moved us to a better room to which we are exceptionally grateful. The staff was the best part of our stay. Kudos to them but shame on the owners for the condition of the hotel. Its an older hotel. Which I understand, but the wall paper was peeling in both rooms we were in. The upgraded one too, which if I had paid for (upwards of 500 a night) I would have demanded a full refund and not stayed. The room itself was good and comfortable, but the furniture was busted up. Stuffing coming from the leather couches. Shower door sounds like its about to break. Floor is lifting in many spots. Again, funky smell and peeling wall paper. Maybe 250 a night? Idk. I choose this because of the 8.2 overall rating, but in my opinion this is a 6.5 at best. Again, the good things were good. Primarily the staff (Sat. morning (6/6 front desk lady was the best!) I know I'm going to get a response from the hotel, but if its the generic copy and paste I've seen. Don't bother please. Good for the price but pictures are deceptive of the condition.

In regards to our stay with you all at your hotel on the 28th-30th we ran into a few things that are just unacceptable for paying guests. We experienced many issues including the microwave plate was dirty as well as the corner of the actual microwave, the refrigerator was dirty, the table the phone sat on was dirty, the phone didn’t work from our room, there was cob webs in the corner of the room which is just completely lazy to leave up there, because that was the first thing I saw when I walked in the room. The bath tub had a yellow tint and slimy feel to it so we wore water shoes to shower, and our keys deactivated a few times and it wasn’t because we deactivated it with our phone i believe it was an issue on you alls end, seeing as it happened twice.

There was no free breakfast. It was noisy in that area and nothing was walkable. The pool was out of service. and the door would hardly shut on the room. I didn’t feel safe there. I would not recommend this place.

Staff was very kind and respectful, the rooms were very spacious and clean. This location does not offer free breakfast and does not having an elevator to the second floor. If this is of concern, I would recommend asking for a room on the first floor. Parking was good, this location is about 30 minutes from Chicago with no traffic or minimal however, I would recommend preparing for an hour drive to Chicago from this location with the traffic and given time to find parking if downtown.

Room was comfortable and hotel was relatively clean. Only a need elevator available and facilities in need of various internal and external repairs.

I just stayed there for a bed to use for the night. Staff were friendly but I received the wrong information from one staff who assured me that there were USB-c outlets in the room, there were not. When I showered at night, the drainage system was so bad that I was ankle deep in drain water and the next morning…all the drain water was still there. It’s probably not maintenance’s fault because piping can be backed up for various reasons over time, but I opted against using the shower in the morning. Bed was comfortable and staff were pleasant.

We wondered why we had the pool to ourselves, couldn’t get in it was FREEZING! Rest of the hotel was nice

$75 deposit that is standard, but is typically held pending on your card and release upon check out. The day after checkout it was charged to my card. Staff was not helpful upon calling so I assume I won’t receive my money back. No elevator, had to go through back door. Dingy and outdated stairs and hallway. Staff at check in was nice and the room was decent and clean. Pool was freezing cold. Party on the first floor outside the back door we had to use, people crawling in and out of the window. Slamming doors and tv all night. Heard very clearly in room. It was okay for a night to stay. Overall no issues other than deposit and noise but wouldn’t stay again.

Our room was extremely clean, the bed was so comfortable and we had an amazing experience with the staff. The staff was friendly and helped us with finding a restaurant for dinner. We will definitely be staying there the next time we go back to to the area.

I left a drink on my nightstand before I left for the day and came back to the cup swarmed with ants. Other than that, it was a great property, convenient, and the staff were helpful and polite.

Overall the hotel was pretty clean, the carpets likely need to be replaced and there was an overly stimulating smell of febreze in the rooms but they were clean and the beds were comfortable! The air conditioners worked well, and that's about all you can expect.

The staff was friendly but for the 3 nights we stayed there we found ants in our bed. We didn’t have food in the room and we did let the front desk know. We changed bedding and requested housekeeping to spray while we were away for the day but there were still ants in our bed after that. Other than that the beds were comfortable and the staff was nice.

The next morning I noticed a whole bunch of things I wish I noticed when I checked in...or even didn't notice. There was "something" dried and dripping from the wall. I have no clue what it is, but it made me gag. The window outside pane was cracked and broken, which looks like from a rock being through. The curtains torn and the room could use a DEEP cleaning. I would say that the only thing unacceptable was the body fluid dried and dripping on the wall. Other than that, you get what you pay for.

Came for a one night, from Champaign IL for a friends bday party the next day, this has always been one of my favorite hotels to stay when coming to town. It’s always comfortable , there’s always an event that’s going on there which always makes things more exciting . Plus all staff is very warm and pleasant to talk to, and always very helpful; shout out to Enrique who truly helped us on this stay, he was Outstanding!! Will definitely continue to be one of my favorite hotels to stay when I first .

Room was clean and large, and the fees and property are great for pets.

I slept in my clothes because the sheets were not clean. I woke up at one in the morning because it sounded like someone was banging on a pipe upstairs. The noises transitioned to individuals outside arguing. The police was called but my sleep was interrupted multiple times. I wasn't able to go back to sleep so me and my daughter checked out at 2:30 in the morning. Now I see why the rooms were cheaper.

Nice stay. Bed was a little soft, carpet felt sticky under my feet, kept my slippers on. Pool was very cold temperature wise. Really was disappointed, pool room was nice and steamy but the actual water was like ice. The weekend was rough, neighbor room partied hardy and loudly with bass that could vibrate the room. Other than that, was an okay stay.

I’m allergic to pets and although the room was cleaned, I had a mild reaction to being in the room (itching). I didn’t notice pets were accepted when I booked. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.

This hotel had more of a resort feel to it. Everything was welcoming and comfortable. The pool and outdoor area were extremely nice. There is also a friendly restaurant next to the lobby. The attached banquet hall and conference center look inviting. The hotel staff, including Leticia at the front desk, were friendly and always ready to help. The hotel's location is near main expressways, shopping and dining. I plan on staying here again.

Customer service is very important to me, I frequent this hotel often for nearby work and the manager (Leticia) as well as her staff has always been polite and answer all my questions.. PS and Divyang always check me in fast thanks again.

Several aspects of the property are in disrepair; facade, hallway carpets, room furniture. There was a spotlight shining straight at our window. No staff was present at front desk when I went to check in late. It wasn't until 20 minutes later that someone showed. Staff was not very welcoming.

First dat I noticed room phone did not work nor the remote for the room. So I used my phone to complain to the front desk. They came to my room to show me how to use the remote for the tv. They also said the phone would be fixed. Never happened. Day 2 or 3 no room service. When I asked at the front desk I was told I should have asked to have my room cleaned. I laughed because had the phone been working I would have called them again about the situation. Need less to say the person I spoke to in customer service only was able to say she was sorry in broken English and offer me 4000 points. The staff and customer service was clueless and maybe they were following the companies directive which sucks and so does this dated hotel.

For a 2.5-3 star hotel is was very clean, comfortable and affordable. I liked how they have a restaurant, bar and gym inside. The outside looks a bit worn down but I guess that helps keep the price down. The walls are a bit thin so make sure you bring headphones though it does quiet down near the suites around 11. Its right next to a Walmart which is wonderful and about 5min away from Oakbrook Mall is you're looking for higher class restaurants

I found this hotel hidden away in Elmhurst. I went to college in Elmhurst but never heard of this place. It ended up being my favorite hotel I ever stayed at. Housekeeping front desk bistro staff do their jobs like taught. No one are on their cell phones. Make u feel like family and I thank them and bless them.

This hotel was very outdated but kept clean. The staff was friendly and we had no issues with them. I had problem with the noise. The walls were paper thin and we could basically hear every single word of out neighbor’s 3am therapy sessions.

They only surprise was the need to place a deposit on the room. The room already had been reserved on a credit card. Wasn’t a problem, but wasn’t expected. The up charge for our French Bulldog was expected, as the website had that info. The couple before us, along with us were told there isn’t a breakfast included, but I recall reading that it was.

The outside of the property is damaged. The staff was kind. However, the trash was overflowing, the carrier wasn’t vacuumed well and the mattress was hard.

The entire building needs an upgrade. Friendly staff. The indoor pool was unfortunately not working properly. Told that the heater was broken and it would be a 15 day wait for the replacement part.

I must admit I was a little disappointed. It reminded me of a “No tell, Motel”. It was clean tho and the bed was comfortable. I was disappointed that the elevator was out of service. Thankfully I was only there for a few hours but it was a feat getting our luggage up the steps.

Looks to be an old property. The roof at the front door is severely damaged and needs repairs. Overall looked clean, especially the lobby and front desk.

What an absolute crap hole. The carpets are disgusting and have stuff caked in them. Furniture in the room was stained and had sticky stuff all over. Mold in the bathroom. Sheets were stained and dingy. Smelled bad and the shower head was caked in nastiness. Don’t ever stay here

We left after five minutes at the front desk. We had two small dogs and a parakeet which we had informed them upfront would arrive with us. We were told there was a $50 charge for each of them The surrounding area including the parking lot was atrocious. My wife said she would be afraid to walk the dogs at night. The building had damage and looked as though it had maybe been a bowling alley at an earlier time in the 70’s or 80’s likely. The area around the building and parking lot had overgrown trees, shrubs and weeds and the neighborhood was industrial. It was 4:00 PM and it appeared there were no other guests checking in or even staying there. We were told the $77 charge was non-refundable. Smelled very clean and comfy given the price point. Everything looked great except for I did find one bug on the ground, but I checked the sheets and bed and those looked ok. Again, smelled and appeared clean. Bed was not the best and not the worst. Staff was friendly.

I was unpleasantly surprised when I was asked for an extra deposit for any damage to my room. Your hotel is so unslightly that I thought that was too much to pay for a hotel that was totally run down. Plus breakfast at most motor inns is usually complimentary.

Based on reviews I expected a better property. Second floor room, no elevator. Run down carpets, torn wallpaper. Hardly even a lipstick on a pig renovation here there. Totally outdated room etc. To my surprise the mattress was comfortable.

The property was very dirty and outdated, the refrigerator in my room didn’t work, they didn’t have any extra washcloths, there were nasty stains on the walls and the curtains looked like they hadn’t been cleaned since the hotel opened! The pictures of the property were very misleading and I would never ever stay here or at and other Clarion or any other Choice Hotels.

Hidden Gem -great location. I enjoyed my stay here. The staff is friendly, checking in was fast. Extremely impressed with this hotel’s amenities at such a value. It is a little older and could be upgraded however it’s very clean. I’ve stayed at other places that were double the price and not as clean and not as nice. Will definitely stay here again.

Room was spacious but located near warehousing, however restaurants and stores only about 5min away

No free coffee service, breakfast expensive for microwave sandwich. So many other hotels serve free breakfast and especially free coffee early, room needed maintenance, carpet old and stained

Everything was clean however the property was very dated. It could definitely use a facelift. I was impressed with the bathroom in our room as well as the comfort of the bed. The television worked as well as the remote control. Overall, it was a decent property. It just needs updating.

This Hotel is rundown. Wallpaper is peeling or ripped on corners, bed , lamps TV, TV stand are old and worn out . It’s in a Industrial park off hwy 83 . I have traveled to the Chicago Suburbs for years to see my cousins and skipped over this place. I was going to be in for 4 nights and the price seemed right, I thought. The were quite a few positive reviews so I thought good. Almost all Hotels have a negative reviews right it’s a reasonable price what could go wrong. Ya it turned out to be what I started this review off as and having booked it through here I was charged for all 4 nights right off the bat. So I sucked it up . I will never come back. The night manager was nice and cool . I realize she accepted it was what she had to deal with. The Hotel attracts an interesting crowd which is probably why it has some positive reviews . Do yourself a favor read the all negative reviews first . I should have and that’s my bad. I will just say I am leaving this so you do not fall victim.

Excellent place to stay. I left behind some clothes items by accident and I called them up to ask if a housekeeper may have found. They were kind enough to keep them for me until I returned. I couldn’t have asked for better service.

Visiting from Iowa it was good. Nice big pool, quiet, Walmart in walking distance. A lot of space to park for free. Both front desk and Cleaning workers super friendly and definitely would stay again.

The beds werent bad, the room was clean. My bathroom flooded a little from the wall while we were out to dinner but easy cleanup and it didnt happen again. Hallways had dirty carpets, there is no coffee in the lobby. Its okay for $100 or less if you can do the stairs.

Staff was really nice and helpful. Area was safe and room/hotel was clean. Parking was plentyful.

This trip was meant to be a nice get away for my sisters birthday trip but 2 days into our trip there was ants crawling on my clothes and the ac unit in our room. Black mold was also surrounding the ac unit.

Place had some real weird tenants screaming all night and nowhere to go around just the hotel and breakfast was just microwave food

Dingy, didn’t feel comfortable walking around in my room without my shoes on. Washing machine on the second floor was so loud that it kept me awake. Parking lot was filthy, littered with trash.

No safety box but stuffs were nice and meals were great.

I mistakenly didn’t look at the terrible reviews before booking here. People were using an open door all night to scream and yell at each other. Closest thing to a no-tell motel

The tub did not drain. The drapes did not fully close. Everything except the linens was dirty.

Friendly and courteous staff. A large carpark with quiet surroundings. Dislikes the damp smell as you entered the room. My head is bald but there was a hairstrand in the face basin

Coming from where we came from this hotel was an diamond in the mine. It was very clean and very comfortable even reasonable one might say . I loved my stay here i wanted to stay longer just because lol. Definitely will recommend.

Some areas need to be repainted and updated. Very comfy bed.

Clean rooms, and nice staffing

Other good stuff: it’s clean, quiet, there’s a large area at the back of the property for dogs to do dog things. It’s relatively close to shopping, restaurants, and freeways. They allow dogs & have a dedicated area for them. I travel with my Service Dog & we stayed in a room dedicated for people with dogs. So, the run down feel of the room might be a reflection of that accommodation. I don’t know what the regular rooms are like. The meh: no bags offered for pet waste. No free coffee in the lobby. It’s tucked way back in what seems like an industrial area. The only food in the immediate vicinity is the hotel restaurant. There’s nothing else within walking distance. Overall, the hotel is a good place for an out of the way stay close to a lot of higher end shops.

I would have given them 5 stars but the carpet was well past its time.

The Staff was good on point. Brandon I believe is his name, He check me in Early Thursday Am and was quick easy and good customer service. There is a smell I believe in when you walk in it’s the carpets I believe they do try to kill it, but it doesn’t work. Still have a good stay no problems quite area outside and inside. I would definitely stay again when I come back.

I write this letter so that management can consider the power of putting your customer FIRST - before every dollar of profit. As I told Dulce, it did not feel good to be treated in that way. Your staff are to be commended (they even set aside the funeral programs I left in my room so I could return and get them). I ask you to consider how management makes decisions. Also: the phone in the room did not work and Leticia had to help me get on the wifi signal through an alternative signal.

This is a good hotel to choose. It seems very quiet and clean and is in a safe, convenient location. From the minute we got here, I was glad that I'd chosen it. I do wish they'd had a tub plug, so that we could have used the tub, but other than that, things were good.

Pool was disgusting green, my door was overpainted so many times i couldnt lock the deadbolt ony the swing latch worked my windows also its on 1st floor so def want it locked, there is no way to lock the. Room 127, the place isnt like filthy but its old and musty, the hallway carpets are all bubled up and wrinkly, the gap from door to floor in our room was over 2 inches you can see out into the hallway hear every sound from surrounding rooms and hallways as if doors were all open overall it was not an enjoyable stay at all

Can hear next door like they are in the same room. Very annoying hearing loud noises at 2 am. Bathroom is clean but very outdated and toilet barely flushes. Ac went off at night and only turned on in the morning. Hallways smell funky.

The room was great and very clean. Stairs were in need of being spruced up and it would have been nice to have the bar, mentioned in the info, to actually be open. The staff was awesome and my stay was very good.

This place is fine if you’re okay with a dirty pool, built in fees that are in the fine print. And a breakfast that is $15 a person.

We stayed on Saturday night 5/17 there was a wedding going on. The staff was great and polite. Hotel was quiet considering the wedding . Rooms clean.

Favorite place to stay

This hotel was exactly what I needed for a quick stay for work. The hallway did smell just a bit but the room did not. The bed was great and the room was clean. Great price, easy parking, good location for what I needed.

The staff we did come in contact with were nice, and the food at the Bistro C was pretty good. I liked that there was a Tesla charger for guests to use, and I enjoyed the use of the refrigerator and microwave in our room.

Enrique at the front desk was very nice and welcoming. Because there is a conference center attached, it felt even more safe. It was a little drive to get to food options, but generally quite close. Overall, it was a great value and night of sleep.

This is a great hotel if you just need a place to sleep for a few hours while waiting for a flight. I would not recommend staying long term unless you are looking for a place that is cheap. The staff was friendly, the heat and ac worked, but the hotel and our room were not super clean with the hallways smelling like smoke and the pool we were told was out of service.

I like the beds are comfortable but if I stay a couple of days they don't clean the room daily.

I spent better part of 3 months in and out of this hotel. Never... not 1 time, did I ever have an issue with anyone who worked there. Even when my wifi went out and had to talk to remote desktop supoort for 45 min. They treated me and my dog like we were important to their business and made bettering my experience, their business. The hotel is a bit older and dated... but that just adds to the charm. Hidden gem!!

Con hotel staff gave pur room to a second party. They tried to enter the room at 230 am. Were stopped by the chain. Hotel staff came down and tried to remove the chain and enter the room. Until I told them It was occupied. 15 min later at almost 3 am they called To apologize saying they thought the room was empty.

My stay was calm

The hotel was really nice, I didn't like the stairs only because I was having a sciatica flare up.

Old—needs refurbishing. Not enough housekeeping staff to clean rooms daily. Phone system for incoming calls spotty.

Place is clean, easy access to the highways.

We didnt use the gym, pool or restaurant. Pillows on bed were foam clusters and not very full such that they swished down like feather pillows. We were glad we had packed our own pillows.

Staff lied about a rebate when canceling an unused meeting room; charged me more than booked room though my group patronized the bar / restaurant area instead. WORST stay in any hotel within last 15 years. AVOID.

They kept trying to open my door, starting at 6 am

It’s definitely an older property that’s been maintained and kept up with. Besides it being out the way to other establishments i appreciate the isolated location away from traffic / road noises. It served it’s purpose.

The same employee said the pool was closed until the next morning. The next morning, the same man said the pool wouldn't open until that afternoon. We waited until that night to ask again. We were told by the same employee that the pool would be open the NEXT morning. The next morning he said it would open in 4 or 5 hours. By now, we all had the feeling that he was just saying whatever he thought would make us happy. If he didn't know for sure, he should have said, "I don't know if or when it will open". Honesty is always best. Don't just guess or give any answer you can think of. On top of no cafe or pool, our 2 rooms wound up being next to an exit door where guests would smoke. The doors to our rooms didn't seal properly, so the smell of smoke was coming straight into both rooms. It was pretty bad at times. We were ready to find a new hotel but there was finally someone new at the front desk. She was upfront about the pool and told us there was no way it would open before we left. We appreciated her honesty. She was very apologetic and offered what she could to make things better. It is because of her that we stayed a 4th night. Management needs to acknowledge her.

This is our go-to hotel when we visit family near Elmhurst, Illinois. It is reasonably priced, quiet, and the beds are very comfortable. We also have the option to bring our dog when we visit our family.

The hotel was clean and economic. I had to extend my stay multiple times due to my wife being in the hospital and not knowing when she would be getting released. I didn't feel like I was going broke by staying for so long. The staff was very nice and accomodating for my stay extensions.

We had a travel issue with check-in, namely they wouldn’t let a person on the guest list check in unless I was present. This was not relayed to me in time despite contacting the property. So couldn’t cancel via the app and the responses did not feel comfortable. Shady as hell. So I went looking for a local contact number and that’s when i discovered the google reviews outlining how bad this hotel was in relation to bed bugs and other health issues. Strangely, these reviews were not present on the Expedia site. Feels like someone was scrubbing bad reviews. Expedia refused the cancellation from the previous day. The hotel wouldn’t budge, even for the days still in cancellation range. This property’s management is straight garbage. They cost me over 400 dollars on a three night stay that I never even checked into because they can’t do THE RIGHT THING. Take your money elsewhere, and that means off app. Expedia can’t be trusted to do the right thing, and this hotel is ran by scumbags.

The staff was amazing!!

Three stars only because it was cheap. We stayed Tuesday night before Thanksgiving...the hotel was very empty. Despite that, we were put near families with kids next to us and below us. The hallway smelled of cigarette/weed smoke. Dogs were barking in the courtyard early in the morning. The hotel was checking fire alarms so they warned us that we may get a knock in the morning from maintenance... I asked what time and they said they started at 7am, so I asked that they avoid knocking. Despite that, our fire alarm did a few rounds of beeping at about 730 in the morning waking us up. It is ok for a place to sleep, but not much else.

The room smelled like rotten trash. 10 kids were in the pool with no adult. Sounded like someone was bouncing a ball in the room above me and the stair well smelled like Marijuana

Terrible stay- very very thin walks, could hear loud TVs, kids yelling and laughing and running around. Switched rooms- three times! Other rooms smelled like bad rubbing alcohol or chemicals- in the sheets!!! The hotel is run down and dirty, no elevator to be seen. BUT the staff were over the top friendly and helpful- the only thing amazing about this place. I’m a seasoned traveler, and I’ve never switched rooms even once, certainly 3 times in one place says it all. Idk how this place received a rating of 8, it’s completely false. Photo of something smeared on the chair of my first room. Gross!

Sorry to to sound like a Karen but the pool pictures online are not the same in person the pool looked like it hasn’t been clean in god knows how long looked green with hairs. Then the people next door had a party the kids kept knocking my door after 10pm. I made a complaint and the staff ended up talking trash about me in the front lobby which my kids where in so I ended up not staying there so overall will never come back here if I could give it a 0 star I would!
