Best Florida Resort

Iris was wonderful and the accommodations were clean and well maintained!

Upon arrival, the pictures on their website looked nothing like the property. There was mildew and mold in the bottom of the swimming pool. We immediately tried to cancel and had no cooperation with owner or management of the facility. If you look at the other reviews, it is filthy dirty would not recommend anyone.

They offered beach chairs & umbrellas. The beach was 2 short blocks , the sand does get hot . The room had a kitchenett , that made it nice for breakfast, Publix was 1 block away , we got Subs & drinks for breakfast lol !! So many great restaurants within walking distance. The room 202 was large & had some updates, it was clean & the beds were comfortable. It was a nice stay .

The staff was super friendly and helpful whenever I needed anything. Keep in mind that they’re present only during the day. It was nice to have a swimming pool right at the properly, lots of chairs to sit down. Location is fantastic. Super close to the beach and shopping plaza. The room was equipped with a working fridge, coffee machine, bathroom essentials. The AC and ceiling fan were working great. Big closet area. The walls are thin so you hear your neighbors all the time. Depends on who you have next to you, I was lucky a few nights and not lucky the other one. There were a few cockroaches in the bathroom, which I usually make sure they don’t have any access to food (I store my trash in the fridge or tight containers, no open bags), but they came for water. The room is outdated with some stains on the floor but it had everything I needed. The bed was extra firm which is actually good for my back, but if you like comfy bed, this might be hard to sleep on.

Room was older but well maintained and attractive. Had a great deal of character and charm. Staff was nice, friendly and helpful. A side note, we ordered pizza delivery from Jetts Pizza and it was fantastic and even reasonably priced. My only wish was the the inn needed vending machines for soft drinks, ice and snacks.

Door locks tricky

Property was decently maintained. It’s an older motel with minor updates. Was clean. Location is close to the beach, but was far north of las olas blvd and most of the more popular Ft Lauderdale locations.

The proximity to the beach was great. The property manager was very responsive when the a/c started leaking and had someone clean it up and fix the problem right away. The kitchenette and bathroom were both updated and very nice. The pull out sofa in the apartment could use an update. The mattress was not very comfortable.

There was no breakfast provided. The location was good - close to the beach and within walking distance of restaurants and stores. No working lights in the kitchen. The bed was pretty firm. There was a live worm when we we pulled back the covers on our first night. The kitchen clock probably just needed a battery so it could work.

Not really a well equipped kitchen, would have liked a toaster. No storage for clothes but we made do with suitcases on the floor. We bought things like plastic containers and a can opener, left for the next guest.

Small room, bed was hard, pillows were hard. No ice machine. No light in closet/refrigerator/coffee maker room

Very clean. We were there only about 3 hours. Would like to see transportation from airport offered.

The location was excellent. The property was nice and clean. The bed was not very comfortable but that is the only thing that I can say.

Pool cold

I had to leave right away because it wasn't what I thought it would be. The pool looked green and the beds felt moist. The air conditioner was cooling well. All in all, never again

We arrived late when there wasn't a clerk the gave us the room code so we could get in whenever we got there. Clean safe place to sleep.

The pictures on the website shows the beach, The hotel was not on the beach or even a water view. Now we know why it was a cheap stay. Should have known. We won't be staying there again! Sorry, but you asked!

Great location close to the beach and dining. Traffic noise.

This hotel was cuter than I expected. The beds had nice quilts on them and the floors were nice. It had a tiny kitchenette. It had a pool which seemed nice but we didn't have time to go in it. The absolute best part was that it really is a 5-minute walk from the beach and we took full advantage of that. The parking is a little tricky because the spaces are squeezed in between the sidewalk and the hotel so you have to pull in and out from a busy street. But there was always a space. The room was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was also very clean. It has a very tiny shower with a half wall. We did see one cockroach which we got rid of but it was not a reflection of the cleanliness of the room, Florida just has bugs. A couple of the dishes were not washed thoroughly, but that's more the fault of the last tenants not the staff. Again, the room and bathroom were very, very clean. The staff were very nice, and they loaned us towels for the beach. I would stay there again, especially to be close to the beach. And it's a short, easy walk to Commercial Blvd with lots of good restaurants. Thai Song Authentic Thai Kitchen has delicious food and it's quieter then some of the rowdy places nearby. Get off the main street and it's a nice neighborhood for walking.

April was very efficient and courteous. The air conditioner controls were broken. The room was clean but dated and musty.

Was fine for a one night stay before a cruise. Floors dirty and smelled musty. Dirty towels are on bathroom floor.

It was very reasonably priced. It was very close to the road so parking and getting out of the parking lot was challenging.

It was also annoying that we are bothered 3 times in the morning about when we were leaving because staff wanted to clean the room. We were out by 10 am.

It is a small simple room which was suitable for our overnight stay. It reminded me of the type of lodging you’d see in an old beach movie like Where the Boys Are. The price was good and reasonable for what we got. The check in hours on Booking said check in was from 3 pm to midnight however when we arrived at 6 the office was closed. There was a sign on the door saying to call Iris (with phone #) to check in and when I called she informed me that the office always closes at 3 pm. She checked me in over the phone and gave me my room number and the code for the room’s door lock. The room had a dampness to it.

Gorgeous

Kind of a hidden gem. Cute outdoor area with a nice pool. The walk to the beach was fast and stress free. Rooms were spacious and had everything we wanted. We even arrived hours early and they took care of us. Being close to the road there was occasional noise but nothing terrible.

AC wasn’t working correctly. We reported it. Pillows were bad.

The room was great. Nice and quiet spot. Within walking distance of some restaurants and bars and the beach. Parking was easy. Check-in was trouble free. Staff was friendly. Definitely on my stay again list.

It was clean and decent enough motel for a night or 2 and location is amazing with breakfast, lunch, dinner options plus grocery all within a small walk. But the noise at night was so bad so I wouldn't chose it again. Windows do not close on either side to block out the noise and make your room quiet. Guests were drinking outside till very late in the AM, I did not sleep the entire night. No personnel on site after 4pm so it's self Check in after 4. However what makes is good is the lady who works there Iris, super super helpful and a gem of a person.

Nice room, room code worked well

Room was clean. Located about 15 feet from very busy road but only modest traffic noise. Check in was weird as we hadn’t seen the self-checkin message from Expedia before arriving. But things worked out.

The room was clean and the sheets and towels were clean. There weren’t any bugs or roaches! That was a plus, the room is not that renovated but the bathroom was as opposed to the room. But it was a clean and comfortable stay. It was also a safe area!

Staff was courteous and responded quickly when I messaged through the app. We had a great time. I would recommend a few things that could help not only customers but employs well. Provide a cheap broom and dust pan to help with keeping room clean. Coming back from the beach it’s inevitable to track sand. So I bought a broom and dustpan from dollar tree.

Another guest luckily told me to check my email to get room lock code. But other then that it was fine

The pictures offered do not accurately show the hotel. And the description was incorrect. The check in does not have 24 hour staffing. On site parking was available. We had to call to get our information to get into our room. We were told that there was an email sent- but of course it went to spam. Outside our room were two bed frames leaning against a tree. The room looked nothing like the pictures. It was barren- maybe 10x10 with two old beds and an outdoor like bench between the beds- with a closet where the ac unit was and a bathroom. The beds were old spring mattresses. The tv was hanging off the wall at an angle. The electrical sockets weren't secure. The bathroom looked like it was redone, but the door was loose, and the grout was not finished. The towels were plush and the shower head was nice- it had great pressure and was the highlight of our stay.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay, I would just be aware of the potential for noise at night and make sure you get the email with all the information before you arrive at the hotel.

This will make our second stay here and will return

The sheets were smelly, and the tv didn't work. I left before my time was up. I could continue to sleep in a dirty bed. I spoke to the hotel manager and she just said sorry, didn't try get clean sheets. The furniture looks like it was picked up from the dumpster.

The rooms need to be upgraded in general with better windows and AC.

The staff was great and the property is in good condition, the only thing to point out is that inside your room you can hear everything that is happening around and also the guests that are in the next room.

Fourth trip to Best Florida Resort. Every time has been amazing. Iris and her staff treat us like family. I would recommend this place to everyone it’s our number one.

The property is quaint and close to the beach. Our room is clean, spacious and comfortable.

Stay was very nice. Only issue I had was next door neighbor was a bit noisy talking outside my door between midnight and 2:00AM. I did ask them to lower their voice but apparently they didn’t know how to talk to low voice.

It was relatively nice. A bit outdated. The biggest complaint is the noise level. The people who work there and the guests are so obnoxiously loud at all hours of the day and night. Very close to the street so you get all that street noise as well. It was OK but i wouldn't return

We were not able to find parking anywhere because we were in an rv and I could not get ahold of the contact for the hotel past 12am.

They got right on cleaning our room. Gave us directions to get to a restaurant & store. Was a short walk. Was also a short walk to nice beach. We love this hotel. Very kind, clean & comfortable.

If you check in late, no one will be there. We were given the room keycode which was fine but I prefer to have staff available especially at 1:00 am! The office was actually closed one day, all day, so hopefully you don’t need anything like pool towels. Bed was hard, ceiling fan had no pull string so was inoperable, remotes were sticky/filthy. Clock on wall was out of battery. Couch had a huge stain on the cushion. Didn’t get clean towels until day 3. Pool was dirty, lots of bird poop, finally cleaned on day 3. Pool deck provides nice covered tables and 4 lounge chairs. Need to trim back some foliage around pool. This property has so much potential! It needs some TLC and attention paid to details. It would make all the difference.

Nice little boutique motel. Stayed here the night before our cruise. Needed ultra late check-in as flight arove at midnight. Communication with staff was difficult as nobody answered the phone when calling a couple days in advance. Once we connected all went well as they provided room number and key code for the door

Horrible horrible...would not answer phone...tried for 6 weeks. Wouldn't answer emails to confirm a handicapped room. Expedia couldn't even get them to answer their phone. Ended up just not going there. Out $200, but at least my handicapped friend could get in the room we ended up getting. They finally reached out the day before we needed the room and by then we had given up and gotten another room. Expedia should not be doing business with them

Will go again

Parking is directly beside the building. The guest rooms are the bare basics, no frills. The bathroom is nicely lit and appointed. The pool area and courtyard are delightful. On the negative side, their is regular noise from passing traffic, and late night dips in the pool by excited children or adults unaware of the volume of their conversation. The mattress was the worst part as they are old and uncomfortable.

Loved this property. Very quaint with a lot of older people which was nice. Room was great, exactly what we needed for the 2 nights we were there. The owners were also great, he printed my cruise luggage tags for me to because I forgot which was amazing! Overall, perfect place for a nice quiet vacation to just relax.

When we arrived the person on duty spoke little English. Shown to our room we found it nothing like the webpage photos this dark uninviting,crushed and ripped bedding, broken blinds, no curtains and the lights did not work thus having to leave a crappy side lamp. We cleaned the place with wipes and they were filthy. We decided this was too much and tried speaking with Hotels.com chat to say what the place was like nothing like the photos. Whilst speaking with Hotels.com my partner was outside trying to get the attention of the housekeeper my partner moved to speak to me and a huge palm branch crashed to the floor if she had been there a couple of seconds more she would had been badly injured. This was the last straw we had to find somewhere else having paid $333.22 for 2 nights. Hotels.com tried to contact the owner to no avail and they now say we are unable to be refunded for this room. DO NOT USE Best Florida Resort as it is the pits and rather dangerous around the walkways. Lack of maintenance supposed to be 24hr service but no one would take a call to explain.

Appreciated the friendly atmosphere. The room was basic, but clean and functional. Beach and restaurants were an easy walk.

Definitely a great location! Decent price. A short walk to food, drinks, shops etc in either direction. Very short walk to the beach as well. If you’re a light sleeper this place may not be for you. It’s right by a main road and you hear a lot of noise.

Nobody was at the office at 8-30 am despite the working hours were declared 8am-5pm. Nobody answered the phone. It was heavy raining and there’s no place to get out of the rain or leave the luggage and go somewhere. Expedia didn’t help us.

The stay was great, we arrived after the office close and were assisted immediatelywhen we called the nimber given. Check in was easy with the help of the hotel staff. rooms were very clean. everyone in our group was very satisfied with the hotel.

Good resort

staff were excellent. The Room was cleaned every day which was excellent. Everything I asked for they were very accommodating. The negative was close to road and traffic. Some room appliances need to be updated. I would recommend staying here.

Basic but good

Good location 1 block from beach. Short walk to restaurants. Good size room. Bed was ok. Kitchenette. AC worked. Checkin was easy, I received an email with a code for the door. Nobody answers the main office phone number but there is an emergency contact number posted on the office door and that was answered. (I just needed to check my email). I have stayed in this area many times at several different hotels and this one is now my favorite.

Cute little boutique hotel by Lauderdale-by-the -Sea. Loved the area, easy access to the beach and shops, bars and restaurants (Aruba is awesome). The hotel made us feel welcome and took our bags in before check-in to make it easy to enjoy our time stress free. My one recommendation is to tidy up the pool area more and it would be a great place to hang out!

This little gem is a staple we keep on coming back to before cruising. Love the area with many bars and restaurants within walking distance. The property is well kept; rooms are clean and tidy. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an inexpensive hotel in a beautiful area

Close to beaches and dining and groceries.

Saw some room improvements, since last time, (window shades, paint etc) and then from time before, (floors, walls and bathroom improvements). However more are needed. Mattress and also couch was not very comfortable. Washing machine service was almost non-existent. You can use the same machines that they use to wash the hotel towels and sheets, but only certain times of day. One of the 2 washing machines was not working. I appreciated that the manager and one of the staff helped me wash a batch that was needed after returning from a cruise but then they locked it up. The price wasn't bad especially because it had less taxes and fees. The Plunge hotel next door was only a little higher advertised price but their taxes and fees ran it up quite a bit.

The original room we received the air conditioner was not pumping cold air, so they repositioned us to another beautiful room and we thank everyone very much

Hermoso hotel

One of our favorite hidden gems in Lauderdale-by-the-sea area.

Easy to walk to nightlife. We only stayed one night prior to cruise and I was very far from the cruise port. We had difficulty getting the lock to work, finally another guest helped us that you have to press another button after you enter the code.

Perfect as usual. Always stay here before a cruise.

Pain inn the ass no room service and they kicked us out for no reason

No security what so ever. Arrived in the evening so just had a room assigned and code to let us in by text. Low wood gate that didn’t even close right by the road. Air conditioner was very noisy. Safe didn’t even work! Paid for 3 nights but moved to a much nicer hotel but not even one night credit back when requested. Expedia should not support this resort!

Price was right. My ONLY complaint is that the room had a mildew smell that permeated all of my clothes and luggages for days after leaving. It was bad. Better ventilation is needed.
