There are beach chairs in the laundry room and I was lucky to find an umbrella. Easy to carry around the corner to the beach. I always stay here.

My stay here was amazing. The room was very nice and clean. When I first arrived here I was confused about what my room number is and so I called the company and they answered almost instantly helping me solve the issue and they were very kind while helping. I also liked how the beach and other stores were near by. My family and I also had a fun day in the pool. I recommend staying here!

The room was clean and lots of necessities such as toiletries, dishes, extra towels were all provided in the room. The pool was warm and clean just a little low on water!

Check-in was easy and when making requests/asking questions I received prompt responses. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was great. Walkable and close to the beach and stores/restaurants

We had a problem with the door code upon arriving at the hotel; they assisted us promptly and, as a courtesy, gave us a room upgrade. The location is excellent—we will definitely be back.

The housekeepers did a great job and the room was clean and fully stocked. However, the room was very run down and much smaller than advertised. The Expedia description says there is a full kitchen and there absolutely was no full kitchen. It was a place to sleep but not a place to relax or make your own food if you're trying to budget. Walks to food are pretty far.

There aren't enough words to describe how bad this experience, what we had of one, was. I booked a room weeks before our trip last week (May 5-7, 2026), based on reviews, pictures online and reasonable price. Reviews must have been written by the property, pictures were completely misleading relative to how the property was when we arrived (terrible condition). They send you a code to get into the room (no office or personnel on site). After trying it 10 times to no avail, I called the number they give you for help. Guy tried to help by giving me a new code. 10 more tries, couldn't open door. He gave me a code for the key lock box next to the door. That didn't work. Never even got into the room. Decided I'd had enough, given the condition of the property and inability to get into the room. Spent an hour on the phone with Hotel.com to try to get a refund (had to find a new hotel right away, obviously), who informed me they'd have to send a request to the property team for their refund approval. By the next morning, I got an email that the request had been turned down. So I'm out the money, for a room we couldn't enter. Great Escape is obviously more interested in making a few hundred dollars than taking care of a truly dissatisfied customer. Stay away from this property in Lauderdale or any managed by Great Escape by Lowki.

Pros are proximity to the beach and a gas grill available. Many cons… The room was not in great shape. The flooring planks were coming apart in multiple areas. The toilet rocked when you sat on it. Opened the window in the kitchen and there were several mattresses and lamps pilled up along the fence. The pool was cloudy and needed cleaned. I booked it because of positive reviews and the price but I would not return. Great place if you and your frat buddies want a place to crash.

Stay away from this place. Parties all night long. I had a reservation near the ocean and they advise me 24 hours before we check in that they could no longer have us the room we had reserve and send me to one other facility they have 10 min ride from the ocean. I would like to be reimburse by hotel.com for no respect to my reservation I paid for.

The ceiling was leaking water for days. There was mold on the ceiling. The leak got the bed wet and towels had to be put on it. When request more towels we were told we had to wash the ones we had. The leak and mold was reported to the property and we were told maintenance would come fix it. No one ever came or followed up. The door lock code wasn’t working and took along time to get fixed. Water leaking from ceiling for four days got bed and out personal items wet. Mold on ceiling. No one came to fix or clean the ceiling and mold. Rude manager Elena as I tried to get a refund. Refused to provide name of property manager when requested. Her response “a person”.

Bed was comfortable, location was great. Patio furniture new Toilet didn’t flush contents easily due to low water pressure. Shower and sink didn’t drain easily. When arrived strong mildew smell that was very over powering, door was unlocked and keypad wasn’t working. Came into lights on either side of bed that were not working. We wanted to leave immediately but it was after midnight and we had already paid. Drawer was not opening and another wasn’t closing properly. Furniture beat up. Oven had no cookie sheets or dishes to cook in the oven with. No pot holder. Only two bath towels in room when arrived and initially were told to wash them. We were then given two more. We would not stay here again and would not have chosen this location if the reviews and ratings were accurate. I can see that the ratings have dropped by 1.2 points since we booked. We did lend our febreeze to other guests whose room also smelled of mildew Ran out of toilet paper WiFi down or in and out all stay

Great location. Nice pool and outdoor areas. It’s basically a small motel room that they call an “apartment.” I did not know that there was no maid service, or even clean towels. You had to wash them yourself. Also the door code did not work, and after several calls we were able to access a key. It should be easier to reach the help we needed, but there is nobody on the property to help.

Our room was updated. The kitchen area well fitted with full refrig and stove . Cabinets stocked with cooking utensils and table settings. The bathroom updated as well. The common area and pool area were small but beautiful with comfortable outdoor furniture. There is a washer dryer for use on site. The location was perfect for walking to town, shopping or beach. I would highly recommend.

Good location close to beach. Gave wrong door code, took long time to resolve to get entry after long day of travel. Worn out facilities.

Location, space, cleanliness of room was all good. Pool was dirty all weekend and not heated. Only 4 lounge chairs available at pool. No maid service. No ice machine. Check in was not until 4pm, and is all done virtually, so if any issues you have to call for help.

The customer service was excellent. Our room was clean. The negative was our AC did not work so our first night was very hot. The next a m the workers came and installed a brand new AC unit. However the weather turned cold and the room doesn’t have heat, hence Florida where cold isn’t expected. They had extra blankets in the room and we were fine. Clean and comfy beds.

The code to get in the room didn’t work. I had to call for assistance and they helped us get into our room. There is no one on site to help, everything is done over the phone. The room was fine and it is conveniently located near the beach, restaurants and bars and the Publix grocery store.

The room was mostly clean but needed some updating. Touch ups on the walls, broken furniture, and a wobbly faucet. Also, there was a mysterious lump in one of the mattresses.

We were here for only a few hours from getting off our cruise to flying home. But a great little find! Wished we could have stayed much longer!

The bed was literally folded in half it was so worn out. The place had a musty smell, there was hardly any usable kitchen equipment. The bathroom needed recaulking and the window looked out to the back of a vending machine.

Very friendly staff that replaced the batteries in my door lock, then the smoke alarm in a timely manner... even though there is no mngmt on site. Pool area was nice & clean. Beach towels are located in the room's closet, along with lots of hangers. Nice, full size freezer/fridge combo but no ice maker. I usually don't like memory foam beds but found their bed to be comfortable. Good Windows that actually blocked out MOST of the noise from pool area & street traffic bc of where my room was located. The smell in the room. Wasn't terribly overwhelming but did smell a little like mildew. There were two fan/light fixtures. One over the bed & one in the kitchen. They would randomly turn on. Woke me up a couple times so it was a little annoying. My room (Premium King Studio) was located right next to pool area so one night I had to deal with two couples partying till midnight and letting their kids scream all night. Since there's no mngmt on site to complain to, I would ask for a room further from pool area.

Check in was difficult. First of all there is a very long form where you have to send them both sides of your driver's license and multiple pictures and put in a credit card. After all that they didn't even send me the instructions to get into the room. Took multiple requests and then they gave me the room number and the code. Unfortunately the electronic door lock was out of batteries and so it didn't work. After that I did get a code for the lock box which did open the door finally. Took maybe 30 minutes from when I got to the hotel.

Upon arrival door to room was unlocked before entering the code. The code panel did not have power so we called the contact number for help. We did not want to leave our belongings in the room and go to eat in an insecure room. They said they would send help but couldn’t tell how long it would be. We reloaded our bags back into our car and went to dinner. 1 1/2 later help arrived and couldn’t fix lock. Gave us a door key to use. Not happy with this

The first day sign in was a little longer as the digital lock wouldn't work but it was because it had no batteries. A little cleanup would have been great. Otherwise location, room and the rain shower shower head was excellent. It's very close to the beach as well.

When I arrived at the airport before heading to the hotel, I messaged them again about the early check-in but received no response. I called the hotel and was hung up on, and only after calling back did they inform me I hadn’t completed their registration—which I had completed immediately after booking. I had to wait an hour before they finally got back to me with my room. Once checked in, I asked again about the late checkout. I was told I’d have to wait until 9:30am the following day when housekeeping arrived to see if it was possible. I messaged at 8am with no response. At 10am, with checkout at 11am, housekeeping knocked on my door, and I reminded them I wanted the 2pm late checkout. The housekeeper initially said it was fine, but a few minutes later I received a message saying late checkout was not available. The rooms are very small, and the customer service was frustrating throughout my stay. I will not be returning. I highly recommend Shore Haven, just down the street—the rooms are bigger, and the customer service is excellent.

Room was great. Beachy feel. The blankets were not heavy enough, it was just a quilt. For this price there was no little shampoos or soaps. We got the room in a pinch and it was pricey, not to have a few little toiletries was disappointing. Also, people were smoking outside around the pool area, so when you walked out it smelled strongly of smoke. Those three things brought down the rating of the property for us.

excellent cost effective stay! 3 minute walk to the beach, and very responsive property management. we had an issue with our stovetop and they were able to rectify it the same day. water pressure in the shower was limited but it did the job for a short trip! great location, clean space, and comfortable beds!

The kitchen is a joke, the must important thing is a little sink in the area where they call kitchen. Nowhere to hanging one piece of clothes. They need to improve the facility, for sure.

So many things were not working when I arrived: door keypad, tv remote, microwave, remote for a/c and lighting.

I have stated here several times over the past few years and I always check them for availability before checking anywhere else you get your moneys worth here

I wanna start off saying that the room first smelled like smoke as soon as I got there. I called Customer Service and explain to them that I did not want to be charged for the smoke smell the next day. I decided to go to the store and buy sprays so they can smell better and left the windows open. Then I proceeded to call customer service again to let them know that the next day that after I checked in, I will be leaving and not staying there due to the inconvenience of cockroaches on the floor. The smell of smoke in the room and the property was just not maintained well .I want my full refund back

I'm a senior and I travel on a budget. This property was clean, pest free, quiet, and felt safe.

I recommend this location. 1 minute walking distance to beach and you don't have to cross any major intersections.

It was just a nice place

I liked the location, it was within walking distance of everything you need, it was quiet, peaceful and safe.

The contactless process was easier than i thought it would be and when i encountered an issue, there was an immediate response and repair. Pool area was very nice as was the patio.

Comfort-wise, one queen bed was firm, but the other was so saggy that my husband nearly rolled into the floor when he moved onto his side. Last, there is NO SOUND BARRIER between the walls and ceiling floor. We heard every conversation in the adjacent unit, and it sounded like roaming Buffalo in the unit above us. Turns out there were children running back and forth, which kept us up at night and woke us up at 6:00 a.m. our last morning.

Our room was very nice and roomy. It had a lot of natural light. The shower tile needs to be updated. The pool was nice and plenty of lounge chairs and tables with chairs available. Would definitely stay there again

For the price I would say it was average. If it was more expensive I would've given it 2 stars instead of 3. But I would gladly pay 30-40 per night more for a slightly better experience.

This motel has only 12 rooms which is awesome. The tables & chairs in the courtyard are Ultra Deck so they are super sturdy and comfortable. The pool was clean and we were able to use it in January. The lungers at the pool are not comfortable and could use to be replaced. Location of the motel was excellent. Our room was quite musty and as an asthmatic this made our stay super uncomfortable for me. I needed to use my rescue inhaler several times a day after sleeping in it all night. The beds are extremely firm and one of ours was basically a taco, you could see how severely the bed bowed in the middle. It was tough to decide how we felt, struggled to get into the room to start, the issues listed above, but Lauderdale By The Sea is amazing and the location of this motel is great.

Great stay, quiet, clean and easy to get to grocery store, convenient store and tourist attractions. Everything needed to cook dish and pot wise was available. I had trouble with door lock but the staff was easily accessible and assisted quickly.

This hotel is ok. The location is everything, it is right near Publix, CVS, Dunkin, Dollar Store, and more. It is also so close to the beach and restaurants. The pool area is nice and clean. The room we stayed in, room 105, had bathroom issues. The tub's grout near the wall chipped terribly and water would enter in and make it's way under the tub. I have no idea how long this has been happening prior to our stay. You could hear the water underneath which was really gross. There were also random holes in and outside of the tub. There was also black mold growing in some of the shower tile's grout. In the bedrooms, the mattresses were very uncomfortable, it was hard to sleep. We were on the first floor so we could hear the people above us. I would recommend trying to get on the second floor if possible. Some rooms on the first floor don't have anyone above them but just in case bring ear plugs.

Overall great price for the area, within walkable distance to the beach and the downtown dining and shopping area, and the local mini mall for any personal items.

Great place to stay and they are really close to the beach! Place is a bit outdated but that is ok. I would only suggest to have more pillows on the bed!

The bedding was in need of higher thread count. Maybe toppers on them for a more comfortable sleep.

I went outside when i can back they change the lock for the room make me get scare and then . They put other key i didnt have my phine with me . And my husban he did know the number from where i make the reservation . So i have to figure it out how to found the number to call them. And then they say the have to do this .. i didnt like it .

Very spacious and clean room with all the regular things needed for a homelike experience. Loved the work desk and flowers. Staff online and at hotel very professional and personable. I liked that a professional effort was made to rectify the two challenges that occurred. - Didn't Like I didn't understand how to use the TV. Confusing layout onscreen. I didn't like that my lockbox code was not correct and I had to wait long to get into the room. It should have been checked before I arrived. I didn't like that the toilet was leaking at the bottom and that there were no signs telling me to put any and all toilet paper in the waste bin. I didn't like waiting without constant communication. My recommendation is that when a guest is waiting for a situation to be addressed, that someone keep in touch every now and then so that the guest isn't there waiting and wondering what's next or what's happening. 4.5 stars overall. I would love to stay there again in a similar room.

We love ALOT about this place- it is spacious for a studio! The pool is wonderful! Short walk to the beach & grocery store :) You can get by without a car! While the mattress is comfortable, the metal headboard & flat pillows have got to go! The bed frame is sharp on the corners because the mattress is smaller than the frame. I almost gashed my leg on it! The kitchen had one pot & 2 small skillets, but no pans for the oven! So we couldn't use it, So, we ate canned goods we could heat in the microwave :( We will stay again, but ask for a different room.

There was no kleenex. Check in should be 3pm and check out same but not so rushed. Otherwise, I was very pleased. I would highly recommend it and would come again.

As soon as I texted about anything I got a respond back right away. me and my boyfriend will definitely come back! The only thing I can say could be updated is the mattress on the bed. This is a no-frills, old apartment- motel building with small kitchenette. The rooms are dated but generally clean. However, without room service or scheduled cleaning, they can become quite dirty quickly. The surrounding area is pleasant, with good restaurants and convenience stores nearby.

We were delayed 20 minutes because the room was still being cleaned whrn we got there. Then we find out the tv was not working that was another 45 minutes of troubleshooting with the roku setup. The floor in the room had some sand so wasnt cleaned very well. The beds are auper uncomfortable and stiff. Apart from that everything else was fine. I personally would not stay here again due to the uncomfortable bed

J’aurais pas eu à faire un lavage. La porte de la salle de bain ne fermait pas. Moppe et chaudière mais pas de balais. Planche à repasser mais pas de fer. Oreiller trop mince. Bon dans l’ensemble nous avons aimé notre séjour.

Not a bad location for Lauderdale on sea beach. Price per night fell into the budget category, and with a kitchenette that was fairly well appointed. Difficulty with not having any staff on duty over problem with electronic lock with dead batteries and a party of youths around the pool late, well past the posted time, but other benefits like good parking made this at least an average motel stay for two weeks around Easter.

Ine of the beds in room 106 was broken. The staff placed a queen bed stand for my full sized mattress. Photos were sent.

It is a small place (12 rooms) with no permanent staff. Couldn't get problems fixed when needed (poor internet, tv service)

We were fortunate to receive what appeared to be a recently renovated room. The AC was cold, the kitchenette was stocked with all the utensils, housekeeping left us plenty of towels, and anything else we might've needed for a 4-night stay was available right across the street at the Publix market. Our room was spotless upon arrival, and the check-in process was relatively painless, handled via text, with simple instructions that were more airbnb-like than the standard front desk process. We were able to extend our stay, to accommodate a change in our flight times, with just a quick phone call. Almost anywhere in LBTS that you might want to go was either walkable, or within the radius of the new Circuit shuttle service. We'll definitely be staying here again!

Clean, nice pool area, had everything I needed in my room, close to beach(beach chairs provided) and Publix, very walkable to all bar and restaurants. Did not like 4pm check-in, no space to store luggage until then.

The pool water was green due to insufficient chlorine. The water in the apartment was brown due to rusting pipes. The noise at night time around the pool was ridiculous, no security present. The room itself was outdated. There is no room service at all, no sheets or towels were provided.

We love this motel. Have stayed here for many years. Different owners but still clean, comfy and enjoyable.

First time staying here and we will be back. Perfect place close to the beach, groceries and dinner out. Had all the amenities needed in our kitchen. Take note that all communication is through texting however they are prompt in replying. Quaint little beachy apartment style room.

On the good side, the pool isn't bad. Heated I think, didn't go all the way in. And it's in a great location to commercial street bars and restaurants 5-8 min walk, and good location to the beach. 3-5 min walk. Also, publix, dunkin and dollar store are also only 7-10min walk down the street. There are community chairs to use for the beach in the pool house, but only a few good ones and beach towels are small. I don't know if we'd stay here again, mainly because of the bed, but it is in a good walkable location for the fun things in town.

Property and room were clean, courtyard well lit at night. The office was not opened, all communication on phone.

This place is run by robots or artificial intelligence only, no staff available to assist with anything. For two adults for two nights, they had only two packs of coffee, one paper cup and one plastic cup. When I asked for more coffee and more cups, they refused. Same with any and every request: they are hell-bent on not having any staff on-site or otherwise available. Whatever you might ask for, the answer will be "sorry, no." Yet they text you these fake, phony insincere messages like "how was your check-in?" and "how are things going?" but the answer to any request will be "no." My check-in was a nightmare. Having already paid $300+ for two nights, they refused to provide me with an access code to get into the room unless I texted them photos of my driver's license and a photo of myself. I had to be creative and innovative to finally obtain the correct phone number to talk to a human being, since their listed numbers all went to voice-mail. When I did finally get through to talk to a person, she was not able to provide any practical help at all. I will never stay here again.

Short stay but room was perfect. Everything was comfortable, quiet and very convenient. Loved how so many restaurants, shops, and the beach were within a short walk. Great value for the price. I’ll be back.

I messaged about the air condition not working properly - no response. It was 89 degrees in the room at night and 93 during the day on the last two days. It was cooler for the previous nights due to the colder weather outside. The first night there there were boys screaming at each other in the room below us. Very loud fighting and we could hear them from 3:30am - 6:30am - no response from the text to the manager. It happened one more night also. There is not anyone on site that will help with any issues.

Mattress was hard as a rock and damp . The ac was very loud and the fan made a funny noise . Black mold in bathroom in window track . Overall a 3 at best . No tissues or ice machine too .

A little strange without an office on the property.

This is a very basic property but it is very clean and taken care of. This is not fancy but if you are looking for a clean and basic budget stay in a great walkable location you should stay here. You enter with a code and only deal with staff through text or you can call them…that said they are very kind and responsive.

Judy a couple blocks from beach and restaurants

Two star despite the pool. The building location is great, one block to the beach entrance, three blocks fom restaurants and free parking. Other than that it was disappointing despite the good price compared to other options offered on Expedia.The bed is hard and noisy with low quality bedding. Towels are thin, two had holes.The room is not well maintained, for example the plank flooring is separating, cracked and mildewy caulk in bathroom at the tub. The toilet tank is probably very rusty inside because the water is yellow once flushed, no bathtub stopper nor screen. The celing fan lights turned on by themselves at random times, so we had to turn them off at night. The wall AC was so loud that someone else called to have it fixed, we also had to turn it off at night, it was cold in FL otherwise we would have called. All communication is done via text, I attempted calling the office twice, both times for lock issues, but no one answered, however the text replies are prompt and courteous, you have to reply to the text where they send you the room number and code, not on expedia.

This is first “hotel” that asked us to take garbage out after checking out, and to wash dishes! That was so strange! I’m surprised they didn’t ask to mop the floor before leaving!

Guests please do fill your registration form when they ask you to via message, it is only after that you get a room code to check in.

However the property could do with a makeover. The main bedroom was ok, recently decorated but the bathroom was poor. The outside pool area is tired with only 5 sunbeds of which 2 were damaged. Which is a shame as the pool is quite a sun trap and west facing.

Place was nice but no maid service to clean room, or towel replacement. Other than that, loved the location, beach a d restaurants.

Everything was absolutely wonderful. If theres one thing to upgrade on, it would be pool lounge chairs. Still, no complaints!

Do not expect someone to clean your room, it's up to you. Only about 12 rooms. Nice pool; has a pay washer and drier. Restaurant and grocerys are within walking distance as is beach.

A good place to stay, very clean and confort.

Very clean and equipped. The only issue I had was the wifi which was very weak, but still functional. It’s a small complex, centered around a pool which is taken care of. Also about a 5 minute walk from the beach, which was nice. The only thing I had a problem with, really, was the parking. It’s directly on a main thoroughfare and is limited in capacity. There is a Publix grocery store a block and a half away, that makes it easy to shop for food. My stay was very quiet, pleasant and relaxing.

There are no staff on hand except cleaning people

The room was clean and had everything we needed…full kitchen was nice. Check in was a little confusing and frustrating. Tried calling the day prior to check in to get instructions, left several messages and calls were not returned. Would prefer to be able to talk to someone in person. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Outside is a pool, lounge chairs and a grill.

Basic and simple stay. Was able to check in a few hours early that was great. Nice to have chairs and umbrellas available for use.

The television was useless, do you expect us to pay for the TV as well, everything was streaming and cut off after 10 minutes requesting us to pay. Another thing ,what is it with washing the dishes and taking out the garbage ,never heard of such a thing in my life ,what are we paying for ..finally you took out my money on the day I booked my trip, you should have waited until I finished my vacation before billing me.

Nice, clean, quiet property. Very short walk to beach and restaurants… we will stay there again
