    We enjoyed the breakfast every single a/m and the pool was great for the kids. Great location, right off of the hwy. In between the beach and the shops Was "accidentally" put in a room with no a/c, it was 91 degrees outside. We had to move at 10pm because we were burning up! It also took about 45 min for check-in & we had to ask for trash take-out & towels DAILY

    Parking was plenty. Convenient location. Decent continental breakfast. Room ac worked really well. Couldn’t find a front desk person to check out for about 15 minutes. I needed to turn in a rental car at 9 a.m. and it made us a little late. We weren’t charged a late fee for the late return so it all worked out, but that was a little frustrating at the time not being able to find anyone. Over all it was a pleasant enough stay.

    The staff at front desk were friendly and the hotel was pretty close to beach, stores, and restaurants. We had to move rooms after the nightstand fell off the wall shortly after check in. The full length mirror was cracked and the hotel cleaning was not kept very well. Our bathroom shower floor looked dirty and came with 3 shampoos, 1 body wash, and no conditioner. There were a lot of pieces of hair in the bathroom and on the furniture in the room, left cleaning rags and nasty/sticky carpets. The breakfast was pretty minimal and ran out quickly which resulted in lines waiting for refills and dining floors were extremely sticky.

    Location Really everything else. Breakfast was really bad and the cleaning was almost non existent. We had to clean the bathroom because someone must have thrown up in it and no one cleaned it. The whole room smelled because of it. There were strange men sitting outside the elevators all times of the day watching everyone. The ladies behind the counter were very rude and upset when they had to assist. I don’t believe I will stay at a La Quinta again after this.

    The morning of our stay, the woman working the front desk was manning the breakfast room as well. The only food available when we were there was waffles and cereal. No protein because she didn’t have time to put any more out. She was working hard -it wasn’t her fault - but we didn’t get the breakfast we had paid for and had to stop somewhere to eat before boarding our cruise. This was very disappointing, as we hadn’t budgeted this breakfast expense.

    The hotel was fine for the price. But it would be nice to have better WIFi,maybe have fresh water, cookie or something for guest when they check in. The door leading out to the parking lot was broken. I was concerned about safety.

    Location was convenient for us. Dirty bathroom floor, no Kleenex just an empty box, no privacy window shade, linens were worn thin, & carpet worn out! Room Needs anew make over bad!     The most terrible hotel we have ever stayed at. The staff was HORRIBLE! Extremely rude. They were absolutely miserable at their job. No one was working at front desk for 2 hours. No breakfast. The lady that was supposed to be working breakfast ignored everyone asking for milk and other items that should have been out for breakfast. I would never ever stay here again

    The room was clean but there were stains on the walls in the hallway, wallpaper peeling off, and the "blankets" were fitted mattress toppers. The "bar" and "snack area" didn't exist and the breakfast was mediocre at best. Coffee in the morning was burnt one morning and cold the next, and the only tea bags availe were generic (great value brand), plain bags from WalMart. Most of the staff was friendly, except the person who checked us in, not helpful at all and was very obvious she did not want to be there. We booked a room for 3 adults, with a king sized bed, and we were expecting a pull out sofa (as described on the booking) but got a king sized bed with a chais lounge (screen shot attached). We asked for a room with a pull out sofa and were told they didn't have any room with that. We were instead put in a room with 2 double beds, which worked but no mention of any price difference. Would NOT stay here again.

    Had to yell for the front clerk to come out from the office to register in and then when i returned an hour later and wanted to buy water she was no where to be found. Waited over 20 minutes for her to return from who knows where before i could get the water. Woman working breakfast bar was a mean woman who when i said good morning too she just gave me a dirty look and keep walking. Both of those employees need a serious attitude adjustment.

    The elevator is a death trap dont use it. Sign outside says 2 people capacity. Dont recomend for anyone that cant walk 5 stories up with all your bags. Rooms are outdated. No a.c in main hallway in Houston, Tx when its 90 degrees. Airplanes fly over head all night. For the price I paid i foyld of stayed next door at the beautiful Hilton. The pool was a green color.

    The breakfast was terrible. The apple juice and lemonade were absolutely horrible. Just carbonated water. The TV channels are extremely limited. Did not even have local channels. We had to watch the NBA playoffs on our cell phones. I would never recommend this hotel!

    Parking is limited, but we were able to find a spot without a problem. I guess they also allow for cruise parking as well, if you stay there. Staff was friendly and the front desk was able to get us a few extra pillows as the ones on the beds were extremely thin/flat. Overall, a decent stay. I would stay there again in a pinch, but the rate was extremely high for what the hotel is. The day we checked out, the rate reduced by over $100. That's what I get for staying on a Saturday night. LOL

    Breakfast may have been free but it was barely edible. Not expecting 5 star, but the eggs were watery and the sausage had no flavor. Also, they only service the room every 3 days so towels and washcloths were not replaced nor beds made. Parking was decent but limited. The water pressure for showers was horrible. The heads only worked for 1 setting to get pressure to get wet. It dribbled out on all other settings.

    Breakfast was nothing special - very plain. Very expensive for a one-night stay. The rate was probably 3-4 times higher for a Saturday night compared to weeknight. There was no darkening shade over the window. The lights from the front drive shone straight in all night.

    The positives are that the breakfast was good, the hotel was close to everywhere I needed to go, the pool was clean, the mini fridge had plenty of space and there was a microwave above it, and the bathroom was pretty nice (but a little dirty). The negatives are that the room wasn’t very clean, one of the beds didn’t look like the sheets had been changed as there was dirt or something rubbed on the side, the lamp shades and bed frames had mold on them, there was rust in several places, the room was very humid and damp feeling even after running the a/c for two days, the area the hotel is in is sketchy, the main staff member I saw was not super friendly, and housekeeping never even came to the room.

    Check in was easy. There's maybe 40 parking spots. We had to park in the street after dinner. The room had a weird smell but it seemed clean. The next day we noticed stains on my daughter's bed sheets. Waffles were good, rest not so much. LaQuinta is usual one of my favorite places to stay. This one I probably wouldn't book again.

    Upon arrival there was no one at the desk to check us in for at least 3-4 minutes. My husband had to whistle to get someone to come out of the office, which was located right behind the desk to help us and there was no apology for making us wait. The hotel and our room was for the most part clean but there was a foul odor coming from the restroom when we entered the room. It seem to be coming from the drain in the tub, but I'm not sure. We were only staying for one night, so we didn't bother to report it. The hotel was comfortable, quiet, the a/c & tv worked well, there was a frig. & microwave, plenty of parking and the breakfast was typical hotel breakfast. However, the carpet in our room and hallways and some of the ways could use some extra attention. The young lady taking care of the check-in desk AND breakfast the next day was delightful and prompt. She was always present at the desk and in the breakfast area. She did a great job and should be commended for handling both with a smile and great attitude. Overall, the stay was good especially for the price, and we would stay again. By the way, this was our 2nd stay at this hotel.

    Upon entering our room, pulled back sheets to find pubic hair and stains on the sheets. Even though the bedding was tucked in as though it was freshly made. Went to front desk and was assigned new room without apology from the front desk clerk. Acted like I was an inconvenience for requesting new room. New room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was dismal. Options mostly empty as though it was not being refilled. Would not stay again.

    Room was okay. Night staff didn’t know where not feather pillows were so one of party had no pillow for a night. Thankfully day staff found them one for second night. Hotel needs general maintenance repairs. Breakfast was not great if you wanted more than toast and random yogurt. For the price it worked but wouldn’t stay again.

    There were no basic amenities in the room like a hair dryer and the iron and ironing board were broken and not operable. Additionally, when we went down for breakfast, which still had an hour and 30 minutes left before close, there was no food left - which seemed that they were not properly prepared for the crowd they had. I have always had good experience staying at La Quinta Hotels but after this experience will never look to stay at a La Quinta again.

    For the cost we paid we expected more. This is an older property that has gone through renovations, but it was mediocre. The "store" for snacks was practically empty and was selling dollar store cookies. Our room was musty and smelled like pets, even though we didn't have a pet with us. I understand they are pet friendly, but we figured we would get a room that was not designed for pets. Breakfast was available, but the eggs were watery, the sausage was sitting in grease, and the other options were very limited. We were only there for 1 night to catch a cruise ship the next morning, but we wasted $240 in reward cash and paid another $50 on something that should only have been half that price per night. We have stayed in La Quinta's for many years in many states, and this one we were not impressed with.

    The shower and water were a big issue. We turned the water on for the tub and it came out orange for a good 5 mins. When trying to switch to the shower head you could not, this was broken. Hotel was full so no room changes. The water pressure in the sinks were terrible, barley enough to get a stream to wash your hands. Hotel was very humid, warm and elevators that had an odd smell. Parking is limited, with some covered parking under the hotel. Additional lot is not large - if traveling in a party with several cars be aware that street parking may be needed. Hotel offers cruise parking - it seemed like many cars had been left, decreasing available space for additional guests in town. Included breakfast was typical, eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, pastry, waffle maker. I would avoid the eggs, they had an odd taste - assuming tap water was used to make them as they were powdered, hopefully not the same orange water coming from the faucets.

    Everything went great! The breakfast was just mediocre and there was some struggle to keeping it stocked (the lady working did amazing but might need 2 ppl working there). Our window didn’t have a curtain (it was broke off) but the worker came and hung up a temporary fix - which was above and beyond and kept us from having to move rooms! Super appreciated!     Bathroom toilet and sink counter were dirty. In the room peanuts were on floor behind trash can. Window Blinds were missing. Outlets for phone hook ups didn’t work. Room phone didn’t work. 2 hangers in closet. No do not disturb sign. Security lock on door broken.

    Building in disrepair. Fellow traveler had their car robbed (really ended up being vandalism since there was nothing to steal.) Not well cleaned. Worst excuse for a hotel breakfast in a long time. Stay at a different hotel in Galveston!

    There is no parking. You have to park on the street. The rooms are dark and gloomy. Literally no light in the rooms. The break fast was gross and crowded. No where to sit. We will not go back there.

    When we walked into the room it had not been swept. Took our luggage in and then drove to dinner. When we got back to the room, e got ready for bed, pointed back the computer and top sheet, and found dirty sheets and you could tell where someone slept on them before. So my husband brought in a blanket from our truck and put it on top of the bed for us to sleep on. Woke up to roaches in the bedroom and bathroom, counted at least 20 in the bathroom, ave 6 in the bedroom.

    My daughter and I did an overnight stay here for New Years. What I loved about it was the fact that we had a great view for fireworks, it was also super close to all the spots we wanted to visit. The only small detail I would say needs improvement is the cleaning could be a tad bit better, other than that we definitely enjoyed our stay.

    TV remote broke/did not work. Could not get front desk to answer. Had to go down to get replacement and was handed new batteries and only gave me different remote when specifically told them it was damaged. When had called prior to making reservation was told that with at least one night stay would have free 7 day cruise parking. Get here = $10 a day! Damage in room. Very poor place!

    When we arrived, we spoke with another attendant, Keisha, who questioned, “Who told you that you could have early check-in?” She was disrespectful in telling us not to return until 4pm for any update on room availability. This was especially troubling because this trip was a Christmas gift for my daughter & her family. We had traveled nearly 4 hrs and expected to rest in our room before attending the Moody Gardens event later that afternoon. Additionally, my 80-year-old husband and one of my grandchildren, who is 9 months old, urgently needed rest upon arrival. Because the room was unavailable, my husband was unable to rest and consequently did not have the energy to attend the Moody Gardens events. Instead, he was forced to nap in the car in the hotel parking garage. When we returned from Moody Gardens after 7:30pm., we were finally able to access the second room. We asked Alex when the room had become available, & she stated between 5:30 & 6pm. Given the inconvenience lack of communication, & the impact on our family, we believe we are entitled to a partial refund or credit on a future reservation.

    I have stayed in different hotels and this one was a disappointment. Room was big enough for our over night stay before our cruise .But the bathroom counter had a roach on it.     Refund is being denied by hotel manager and hotels won’t help!!! Who wants to sleep with BUGS and FILTH The rooms were terrible and dirty. The pictures do not at all represent the conditions in which you will be staying. Upon checking into the room we found the sheets and beds full of hair, dirt, and what looked like bugs and larvae. I’ve never been one to complain, but there was no way my family and I were going to be sleeping in that. Decided to see if they would let us change rooms and Brandi at the front desk was very helpful in getting us a new room. That room also turned out to be the same and we quickly left. Back at the front desk I explained the situation and let them know we would be leaving because of the quality and wanted a refund. Brandi informed me the manager(Shaid I think) had to process the refund and he would when he arrived later and that it wouldn’t be a problem. Where she lost me was she then asked me if the beds had been turned down insinuating that they intended to give the room to the next people who checked in. I let her know that I had pulled the bed apart that there were bugs and hair in them and they were dirty and would need cleaned. She apologized but stated crews of workers come stay there for extended periods and you would be surprised how dirty they can be and it was their fault. I don’t understand how a room wouldn’t be regularly cleaned and turned over between guest and that it seems to be standard practice or just pure laziness

    It was a little challenging navigating to the lobby for chck in while dark outside but once we were there the desk agents were helfpful, kind and courteous. Our room was spacious and clean and the breakfast was adequate. There was waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage to name a few. FYI, for any one going on a cruise this hotel offers reasonable cruise parking options.

    My was terrible. First of all, i was placed in a handicap room. Then when i tried to take a shower there were no towels. I called down to tge frint desk to informed her i had no towels. She told me i would have to come get them myself. When i took my shower tge tub clogged up. I was supposed to stay for 2 days, but i checkout early. I felt cheated i was paying $200 plus dollars to what thought was a classy hotel end up being a sleaze motel.

    When attempting to call the front desk for housekeeping, there was no answer. We only had 1 roll of tissue to use over our entire stay. Upon checking into the room itself, it wasn't cleaned with strange hair strewn about the restroom floor.     The manager and staff were very good. They unfortunately didn’t receive their food delivery the first day of our stay and breakfast as a result was disappointing. The manager went above and beyond to ensure that I had orange juice for my breakfast the next morning. I appreciate his attentiveness and thoughtful attitude.

    Rooms were good. The room which i was supposed to be in was a mess and was not done. They gave me another room where temperature was 86 degrees and if took whole night to get it down to 73. We went down for breakfast and they were out of waffles. When i asked the front office lady she was very rude, unprofessional and unclear. She said ok and didn’t do anything. I would recommend another room for the price. Staff attitude is as important as the hotel.

    It has a nicely gated pool area. The driveway to the entrance door was a bit confusing, our taxis kept going against the arrows as they said it was a safer path for them, then they would exit again, against (opposite the arrows painted on the pavement), and then turn "right" going with the flow of traffic, which was always moving very fast. Because turning out of that traffic and making a hairpin right turn, and the a quick left to get up to the entrance was even more dangerous, and could possibly cause rear-end vehicle accidents.

    Overall if I couldn’t find anything in a pinch, I’d go back but only as a family. I had a second trip scheduled in the same hotel but ended up canceling during my stay.     Breakfast ends at 9 a.m., and right on the dot, a staff member would remove the juices from the machine and other items, regardless of how many people were still serving themselves. It was as good as removing the spoon from your mouth while you were still eating, simply because it was 9 a.m. Our room cards were also deactivated an hour before check-out. I wish they would be more customer satisfaction-oriented than profit-driven. Overall, my stay was good, but the breakfast and check-out service were quite disappointing.

    I rate this hotel a 3 out of 5. The location was good and convenient. The staff was no where to be found at any moment. I had to find and get my own towels. I was only able to get two big towels no face towels or anything else. Complimentary breakfast is always a plus. No snacks, necessities were available. Walls were as thin as paper.     The hotel is nicely appointed and the staff is very nice. I think this issue is they are understaffed. I've heard it's hard to get people to come out to Galvaston to work. The floors were not properly vacuumed, dust bunnies and hair in the deep corners by the bathroom vanity. The shower curtain was moldy where it has been against the tub. The hotel needs to invest in more cleaners and a manager over them. The door to elevators on ground level did not lock which is a true safety issue. 4/10 but with cleanliness and the door resolved this would be a 10/10.

    The staff was really friendly! The room was okay, there were ants all over the place. The pool is over crowded most of the time but the little pool is cute. The hotel is in good spot for things to do, close to beach and boardwalk. I'd stay here again

    I stayed for 3 nights, the room wasn’t cleaned or restocked even once. I went to the front desk and they said that was normal and maid service is every three days. So I just asked if I could get a couple new towels and they said they were out of them and would bring some to my room later. The pool was disgustingly green and foggy. All the faucets on the tub and sink were loose. There was food remnants on the floor. Just overall dirty for a pretty new hotel

    We had towels that were dirty. We stayed 4 days and not once did they clean our room or give us more towels. The phone in the room didn’t work. When I used my phone to call the front desk to ask for towels, I was told I could walk the halls to find a maid if I needed more. That she couldn’t be bothered to get some. There was water damage on the ceiling. We definitely won’t be staying there again. The pool was very cloudy and dirty looking.

    Booked a 4 day stay. The pool was deep green when we arrived and after one day they tried to clean it. We were told the “pump broke”and pool was closed after that. 4 day stay with no pool was a disappointment due to this being a family trip.

    On the site they rated this place a 4, I’m not sure how. The only thing presentable was the lobby. The hall way going to our room was filthy it needed to be be vacuumed. The room was terrible, the bed skirts were filthy and the bathroom was incredibly horrible 😢the bathtub was not clean and to make matters worse housekeeping left a dirty face cloth over top of the shower curtain. Ended up going getting cleansers to clean the bathroom . Spoke to the manager was told I would get a partial refund but have yet to see it. At this rate we travel there a lot last place I’ll ever stay. Very uncomfortable conditions…

    The following evening, I brought it up again, only to be met with a dismissive response from the night shift staff who informed me that there was nothing they could do to rectify the situation. This lack of assistance was quite disappointing, as I expected a higher level of service. Additionally, I encountered another issue: the shower drains took an excessively long time to empty after use, leaving standing water that was not ideal for such an establishment. On the third day of my stay, I had a conversation with Keisha at the front desk. She apologized for the communication breakdown regarding room cleaning services and assured me that our room would finally be attended to. True to her word, it was cleaned that day, but it shouldn't have taken multiple requests to get to that point. Overall, my experience left me feeling that La Quinta's service quality has significantly declined, and I hope they can make improvements moving forward.

    This was a “before” our cruise overnight stay. This particular hotel was convenient and affordable. The property was nice and clean in the lobby area. The rooms were not properly cleaned. I found an excess amount of hair in the tub, trash under the edge of the bed and spilled liquid on the desk area. The breakfast was lackluster at best and was being taken up before the 9 a.m. stated time.

    We encountered several issues during our stay: • Upon arrival, we found a large stain on the bed comforter, which was very concerning. • The bathroom did not appear to be thoroughly cleaned, which raised hygiene concerns for our family. • After spending the day at the beach on Saturday, we returned to find that our room had not been cleaned. When I approached the front desk, I was told that rooms are only cleaned if guests are staying more than three days. This was never communicated to us at check-in. • With a family of five (2 adults and 3 children), trash accumulated quickly and we had no place to dispose of it. We had to leave used towels outside our door. • The refrigerator in our room was not working, which made storing food and drinks impossible. • Lastly, when our daughters went to the front desk to ask for more toilet paper, they were questioned, which made them feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. This experience was frustrating and disappointing, especially for a family trying to enjoy a vacation. We chose La Quinta expecting

    Booked this hotel because of location. Close to cruise! But don’t think we will be booking again. Room was hot when we got there and tv remote was not working and tv didn’t have any buttons so had to watch just the channel it was on. Luckily it was only one night.
