Courtyard by Marriott Memphis Germantown

Everyone there was very accommodating and friendly. Everything was clean and smelled it. Our electricity went out in the late afternoon, and the staff were very good about informing us on updates. When we arrived back after dinner it was back on. We will definitely stay at another Courtyard.

The lady at the front desk was so kind when we checked in, offering more towels and pillows since we had 5 in our room. The fold out sofa was horrible-like laying on the floor! And I’m not joking. They need to do something about that. Extremely uncomfortable. This would keep me from staying here again if we had 5 in our group again.

The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Later, I took my kids to the swimming pool and they absolutely loved it. It was the perfect size for smaller children to enjoy safely. Teno was also incredibly helpful and checked to make sure we had everything we needed. He kindly offered towels for the kids to use afterward, which was such a thoughtful touch. The next morning, I had the pleasure of meeting Kenyon and Allison. They were both equally amazing. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Excellent customer service truly makes a difference, and this team exceeded expectations. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back!

Was disappointed in the size of the "king bed". When I want a "king bed" as advertised, I want a "king bed" and not a "California King" bed. Please changed that in your description of the bed. Very misleading.

My mom & i was there for only one night, due to me having surgery. The room was nice and clean. The problem we has was the big lamp wouldn't come on tried unplugging/ plugging it up yet it didn't work. There was a fridge no microwave. There was a Foul Smell coming from the bathroom it was Clean but the smell was reall rank.

The standard I’ve come to expect from Marriott. The room was clean there were some Repairs that need to be made especially in the bathroom. But overall I was pleased.

When I got off of work at 4am the hot water didn’t work so I went to ask the desk attendant what was wrong. He replied “oh they didn’t tell you at check in? The water has been acting funny for a few days” of course they didn’t tell me so after a 12 hour shift I had to find a new room.

My shower doors would not stay closed.They kept opening up, which caused water to spill out of the shower everywhere. I didn't like the fact that you have to pay for breakfast, and pay for the amenities during the social hour.

It's in a good area. Walgreens is next door and it's within walking distance of Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, Waffle House. The room was nice, clean. Staff was super friendly, especially the gentleman with locs. I'd recommend.

This is the best Courtyard we have ever stayed at! It was amazing! Clean, quiet, and modern and the ladies at the front desk were all SO nice! They even let us check in a little early due to the fact that we would be in the middle of ballgames during check in time. Absolutely wonderful…we will definitely stay here again!

Staff was great! The only thing not great was the AC. The temp in the room was set at 74 and when we changed it to 69 it would automatically go back to 74 after awhile.

You could find something as good for less money. The place was renovated in the past year, and it's already looking tired. While it's clean, this is our last booking here.

Late Sunday staff not the friendliest person. Tough shift to work. Was going to ask a question but person was talking on her cell phone and did not acknowledge that I could ask the question. Monday morning staff answered my question. There were crumbs on furniture and the area around the toilet paper was dirty.

Was closed due to water leak. I chose this hotel because of the advertised amenities that were unavailable. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful, hotel was clean but as I was only there two nights my room was never cleaned. Is the common at this hotel?.

The power was out for 5 hours so no air in August for 5 hours! The locks on the doors didn’t work or jammed. The phone in our room did not work and then they move my family to another room and that phone didn’t work nor did the shower function properly. I honestly gave up because I was already exhausted. The staff was great but they should honestly shut that location down until everything is fixed and fixed properly. I have never had an experience like this in my life. BTW the fire department showed up the next morning due to something burning in the kitchen and setting the fire alarm off. Horrible.

I asked for extra towels (bathing) I was told they were out. Asked the next day, housekeeping said they would deliver them to my room, I never received it. Overall- no extra towels was provided to me. The shower door, wouldn't stay closed while I was taking a shower. Very disappointed as a reward member.

We booked a KING suite and when we arrived after traveling 7 hours they had switched our room to a double Queen. We could make this work, but I PAID for a King suite. The worst part was the actual room. The carpeted floor was SOAKED with water from the AC unit and the shower was molded all around the top of the ceiling and around the fixtures. It smelled like pee. The sheets were “clean” but my husbands pillow smelled horrible like they hadn’t washed the pillowcases. We had to stay bc we booked a “no refundable” room through Expedia but I would advise to NEVER do that. It was awful.

If you are new to the town and looking for something safe and clean place, then this is the one. All the hotels in Memphis have weired smell but this one has great ambience with well maintainance!

Access to roads was blocked during utility construction but the traffic lights helped greatly.

A hotel in transition made this a less enjoyable stay. The staff were top notched and did what they could to make our stay right. There were glitches with keys in our first renovated room and some unpleasant sewage smell in our second room. The staff addressed the problems immediately when we told them. Once the renovation bugs get fixed, the rooms are nice and clean.

Decor so pretty. People excellent. Room clean. Construction made fire alarm resound twice, extremely annoying. Got locked in room because deadbolt malfunctioned, I was moved another, smaller room, but apreciated being helped quickly. When construction is over it will be very nice, I'm sure.

Even though I was the only guest at the front desk and had booked ahead, it took me more than 30 min to get my room. As a weary traveler, I book ahead to avoid staff scrambling to find a room. When I finally got the key card to my room, it did not work. The staff did not believe me and made me walk back with her again to check. I had to wait even more while she struggled to find a room. This is definitely not the Marriott experience.

The hotel location worked well for our needs. The front desk staff was friendly and very welcoming and our first floor room was easy for my elderly mom and surprisingly quiet. The negative was we stayed for 2 days, 3 nights and our room was never cleaned and linens not replaced. I did get some towels from the front desk and was told the first day, that rooms get cleaned every other day. This surprised me. Also, requested an early wake up call, and I know it was kindly setup up, but no wake up call. I later found that our room telephone did not have a dial tone so we did mention this at check out. Overall, a good stay. Beds and pillows comfortable.

Not their fault, but street construction was also taking place; barrels everywhere and difficult to see entrance. Staff was excellent and couldn’t have been more friendly. Bed was comfortable and room was very clean.

The rooms were stuffy and if you have a sinus problem don't go there. Poor circulation. The shower had a really bad smell coming from the drain.

Very little space to move around especially after you got your luggage in the room. AC had to be on or off. Thermostat didnot work properly. Refrigerator would not get cold enough and to small could not put very much in it. Mattresses were way to hard. No clocks in the room. Sofa bed had no sheets on it. Just a small blanket. The room was certainly not worth the amount charged for it. I have stayed in many Courtyard by Marriot hotels. They were always very nice. This one was terrible. Denise Larson

Customer service was very good, friendly staff, clean room and comfortable. The fridge did not keep anything cold, or cool for that matter. The A/C couldn't get down to 65 at night, and lost hot water the second and third night. Got in each night after work about 9 + pm, so no I didn't call about anything, just wanted to sleep. I did mention these things to the gal at the service desk, when I checked out, she said something about adding points somewhere, I don't know what that was all about

Miss Donna and Lakeesha at the front desk were so nice and helpful. Very welcoming staff. Parking lot was sketchy. Lighting ok but not great. Needs paved. Bigger sign to tell where the hotel is. There was a guy refinishing his pickup truck ( sanding the paint and other stuff) in a handicapped spot in front of the hotel all night which was also creepy. Rooms were great. Hottest water I've experienced in hotels!

We had someone come into our room in the middle of the night and our keys didn’t work the next morning, so they gave our room away in the middle of the night.
