Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. Its location is also frequently complimented, being close to downtown and various amenities. However, there are consistent complaints about the parking situation, with guests often struggling to find spaces and expressing frustration over the nightly parking fee. Breakfast is a mixed bag, with some guests enjoying the offerings while others find it lacking.
- Clean and comfortable rooms
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Limited parking and nightly parking fee
- Inconsistent breakfast quality
- 5/5
During our visit the power had been disrupted around the entire town. Lights out! However, the staff did all they could to make guests feel comfortable and safe. They helped us and many other visitors by answering questions and providing recommendations in the tough situation. Once we got in our room, we were able to adjust until the power eventually returned and the remainder of our trip went well. We enjoyed our stay in the area and the hotel and staff definitely made the trip better.
- 4/5
I like everything except the shower. The shower head was not functioning well, and the water would not drain. Overall, it was a good place to stay.
- 5/5
The room was clean, cool, and comfortable. Close to town, stores, hiking. Breakfast was delicious and filling each morning. Parking was crowded because of the construction, but should resolve when that is complete.
- 4/5
Minor complaints like shower head was loose from the wall, bathroom door stuck and swung open too close to the toilet. Some confusion about getting trash in room emptied.
- 4/5
Our room was large with a full kitchen. The breakfast was delicious. Beautiful mountains, river close. Also lite firepower in courtyard. Really beautiful area. Glenspring, CO.
- 5/5
Check in was quick and easy. Staff was great, room was amazing
- 5/5
Great set up for family (3 adults plus two teens)— 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, sofa bed.
- 4/5
Everything was awesome.
- 5/5
Clean rooms and quiet
- 4/5
Whilst we realised the property was fully booked, being Memorial weekend, our room on the ground floor looked out onto a closely planted fir tree. The wash basin barely reached a temperature to wash hands in so, shaving was not an option. Being busy, the breakfast area could not cope with the number of people trying to use the facility, this resulted in some eating in the outside area. The breakfast itself would have been adequate but each item ran out very quickly and one of the toasters did not work at all, resulting in a queue to use the slow working unit. The second day was slightly quieter but still the same chaos.
- 4.5/5
Great breakfast
- 4.5/5
bedding is wonderful!!!!!!
- 5/5
Everything was great, close to the town and hot springs
- 3.5/5
Full kitchen in room. Uncomfortable bed.
- 2/5
Rooms were great staff wounderful
- 5/5
Clean and very family friendly. Pool/hot tub. Bbq area and large fire pit. Basketball court. Located by many amenities. And the view! Those were the highlights from our stay.
- 5/5
Nothing.
- 4/5
Great for families. Wish the windows opened more!
- 5/5
Great breakfast
- 5/5
Didn't like having to pay 15 dollars to park in your own parking lot. That was a little bit crazy.
- 2.5/5
The view The breakfast was undercooked very disappointing when you pay for extras and they are not what you were expecting.
- 2/5
the chlorinated pool
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable suite with a separate bedroom, sitting area with sleeper sofa and kitchenette — perfect for a relaxing stay. The included breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options and a lively, spacious lobby area to enjoy it in. The pool and hot tub were a nice bonus after a long day on the road. Ideally located right off the interstate yet close to town, with a lovely view of the mountains. Highly recommend!
- 4/5
Everything was great with the breakfast and the entire place minus the cold pool we don’t end up staying in long but had looked forward to it .
- 5/5
Quick check in and out clean and quiet
- 4/5
Breakfast was okay very minimal options.
- 4/5
Having to pay to park
- 5/5
From the time we arrived, the staff was very nice. Great location with quick amenity access, including restaurants in major highways. Quick trip to downtown to visit overall a clean hotel and very well kept.
- 5/5
Liked
- 5/5
Staff was excellent!
- 1/5
I've seen better Marriott hotels. I don't recommend the breakfast; there's little variety, and the parking fee is unnecessary.
- 5/5
The rooms were amazing and so clean. The breakfast was really good as well.
- 4/5
Beds and location
- 0.5/5
Hotel is old, dirty, rooms with a lot of damage, old furniture, front desk stuff super unfriendly and makes you feel like you came to free and to bother them. Hotel is not renovated for years, swimming pool are extremely old and nothing is updated
- 3/5
Good for a basic stay. Good amenities but the property needs upgrading and better cleaning.
- 5/5
Great food
- 5/5
Clean room, quiet, spacious and accommodating. Great breakfast and comfortable beds
- 5/5
I did not visit the hot tub
- 5/5
Very nice, spacious suite with all the amenities. Great breakfast in the mornings.
- 3.5/5
The breakfast was okay. Bland, but serviceable. I was very shocked that after paying $239 for the room, plus $40 in extra fees that I prepaid, to be expected to pay an additional $15 to pay to park there at the building! I think that is outrageous! I have traveled extensively and have never seen that before!
- 2/5
Our first room had blood stains on the curtains. The second room we got had a hole in the wall, missing lights, carpet edging had a gap, couch was filthy with crumbs in the couch cushion crevasses, noisy dishwasher, flat pillows, very small bathroom, poor placement of furniture by the door, could also see hallway lighting through the door, and you could hear the other hotel guests upstairs from us. The breakfast was subpar with the waffle batter dispenser leaking and the potatoes were basically raw. The $15 per day parking fee is a ripoff. The only real positives is that there is a kitchenette and it’s a walkable distance to a grocery store and Target.
- 5/5
Rooms were nice.....hot tub was great...breakfast was perfect
- 5/5
Everything was so convenient it was a great experience
- 5/5
Tesla chargers in parking lot
- 4/5
Comfortable bed, soft pillows. Clean and cozy room. Breakfast is ok. Don't have much what we likes. Parking is good, but you have to pay for it.
- 4/5
Dinner, location, staff Breakfast, bed
- 4.5/5
Was clean and facilities maintained. Was nice to have a kitchenette in room. Also love having laundry on site for quests and free breakfast! Rooms were a bit small and not soundproof.
- 2.5/5
Not clean, very outdated, our room smelled like dead fish and the lady in the recipient was not very reluctant to switch it for us. It felt like the furniture has been there for ages
- 4/5
Food was left outside on the grill 24 hours.
- 2.5/5
Location to the mineral waters Price was too high for one night. My room smelled odd, bathrooms were filthy and front desk wasn’t kind. I’ve never left a negative review before. Base boards were dirty, bathroom mirror had some brown sticky stuff on the left bottom corner. And witnesses a front desk person be rude to someone smh. Room above had kids running late. Made no sense for 400.00 solar for one night. I’m disappointed
- 5/5
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The shower did not work well. And the bathroomdoor came with, half an inch of hitting you in the knees as it was closed.
- 3/5
The coffee pot was missing from the machine. $15 a day for parking Air vents were dirty like they had never been cleaned. They are very strict with getting clean towels and make you bring your old towels by hand down to the lobby to exchange towels. Which is inconvenient. But I enjoyed the super charger in the parking lot.
- 1/5
Property is shabby. The coffee machine in our room was missing the coffee pot and the coffee tray. I asked the front desk for help and they never delivered the missing items. Very bad value for the cost
- 3/5
Room has been well used.
- 5/5
Great place, convenient to town and well maintained. Breakfast got repetitive after the third day of the same.
- 5/5
Great location. Nice building and amenities.
- 4/5
Good quality service.
- 5/5
Close by to lots of attractions! Loved having the option of a seperate room than the kids.
- 4/5
Pet relief area was a plus. Coffee was freshly brewed and available for early risers.⁰ Breakfast food prep area was tight and congested. Selection and variety limited for a Residence Inn. Room could have used 2 TV's vs 1. Did not like that there was a nightly parking charge of $15 in an open non secure parking lot.
- 1/5
The property charges for parking in their parking lot even though you are paying for a room and the parking stall are not marked so there is no way to guarantee your spot. The manager charged us anyways and gave us another managers card if we had a problem with it we could call the other manager.
- 1/5
The shower was dirty The tv did not work
- 5/5
Very nice!!
- 4/5
We really enjoyed being able to stay as a family (family of 4 and then grandparents) in one space. Having 2 rooms with a common space was ideal for us. The pool was good however there were no towels available when we arrived. Staff was very courteous and brought towels to us when they came out of the dryer. Breakfast was a disaster. WAY too many people since it was only open 7-9:30. Nothing was stocked appropriately, when asked for something staff told us that it was all gone and there would be no more, lack of seating - no more muffins, no eggs, let chip was gone, line for waffles was insane, no fresh plates, chocolate milk gone (this was at 8:00). Terrible experience at breakfast, however, we would give this location another chance as we did enjoy our stay otherwise.
- 5/5
The view would of been better
- 5/5
THE PROPERTY IS NICE AND IS CLOSE TO RESTAURANTS, GAS STATIONS, AND A mall
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Pet friendly
- 5/5
This hotel is very clean! We were able to check in early, so our toddler can take her nap! The continental breakfast was great!
- 5/5
Nice hotel located near the major new shopping center on the south west end of town. Basically across the river from where the pool is. Very easy to get anywhere you need to from there. Also very good shopping close by. We would stay in this hotel again.
- 3/5
We had a wonderful stay at this property. I would say the room and property were fairly clean and well kept. In addition to the fee for the lodging there was a newly imposed $15 overnight parking fee which came as a surprise. The only thing we were unanimously disappointed with on our stay was the breakfast/ coffee station. The meal was unimpressive, but worse the coffee was cold both days during our visit, and terrible coffee (a simple necessity) was a deal breaker for us. We will be looking for other lodging in the future during our Glenwood stays.
- 4/5
Everything it's Ok
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Property is nice and in great location, and has Tesla chargers. Staff are nice and breakfast is good.
- 5/5
The hotel was awesome. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good if I had to say something I didn’t like definitely the parking fee. Otherwise, great.
- 5/5
Amazing stay. The staff is so friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful, the service, the room, how clean it was, except the sofa sunk in the middle and was not comfortable.
- 5/5
Very clean and very spacious
- 5/5
It was an enjoyable stay
- 5/5
The only unnecessary thing is that parking is paid.( U$12.00).
- 3/5
this hotel needs a good deep clean, we encountered cobwebs and spiders in the room. I know it is getting into winter and they tend to move indoors but that doesn't mean the cobwebs in the corners have to stay there. it lends itself to wondering what else didn't get a through cleaning
- 2/5
They post pictures of a different property which I had to find out the hard way is iron mountain, I would consider it false advertising.
- 4/5
Nice hotel, would stay again.
- 3/5
Breakfast is exactly the same every day
- 4/5
The facility was in overall good condition. The timer was broken on the hot tub. Our room was nice but the couch was really hard. The breakfast was ok but they seemed to always be behind in coffee. Not a huge selection besides breakfast burritos, scrambled eggs, sausage, and waffles. Also oatmeal and some cheap packaged muffins. Not much homemade. The parking fee seemed unnecessary and detracted from wanting to stay there again. Lots of dogs staying with other guests that barked. Verizon phone service was horrible there. Internet was also weird where I had to pay to upgrade to have any service at all in my room. I always had to reboot my phone whenever I left the property and came back. Location had some nice hikes across the street.
- 4/5
Overall it was good. This hotel a little bit "older" even it looks new. The decor is "older". You have to pay $12 per night to park there. At night, there is no parking, because it's full. If i would be them, i would charge for WIFI, toilet paper, for breakfast, to use the elevator. Might as well at this point, why stop at the parking lot.
- 4/5
Biggest complaint is the available parking and the daily fee. For as many rooms and guest, there are not enough spaces for all cars so if you return after say 830pm, you may not have a space to park and will have to park in the community center lot across the street. we did however get the fee removed on the nights/days we did not park in the hotel lot. Overall, I recommend the property. Hiking trails are a short walk across the parking lot at the community center.
- 3/5
Hotel is not clean and it pretty dated
- 5/5
It was quiet for the most part.
- 5/5
Hyujj
- 5/5
Overall, comfortable, clean, the breakfast bar was average three out of 5. Bed with comfortable, overall pleasant staff, and accommodating.
- 3/5
The parking situation is atrocious. After circling for a while we were told to park in a space the size of a ballet shoe, because there was NOWHERE else to go. It wasn’t even a real parking spot. Just an empty area next to huge box truck. It’s paid parking, and we had to park in a space that is not a real space?! You charge money for spaces you don’t have? I got a HUGE ding in my car door! It’s massive and won’t be cheap to fix. We overheard another woman being told there was overflow parking across the street from the hotel. I wouldn’t have felt safe doing that at night! Somehow there was room for several USPS mail trucks though. The pool was FREEZING to the point we couldn’t even get in. The hot tub was ok. All the maintenance outside was really loud and happened fairly early. There was even a child above us who used the floor as their personal trampoline. Thats more about inconsiderate parents, but it was still not a pleasant way to get woken up every morning on vacation. Someone placed trash by our door (because it was at the end of the hallway) and housekeeping walked past it multiple times and ignored it. It was there for over 24 hours. Meanwhile, everyone kept adding more trash to the pile! We finally had to ask to have it taken away. Room was clean. The cabinets could have used a wipe down because a couple of them had food/residue on them. I did like that there was coffee available downstairs all day. Coffee isn’t worth the price of the hotel or damage to my car.
- 5/5
The breakfast was perfect for my kids!
- 5/5
Location is great
- 4/5
Comfortable/accesible and convenient
- 3/5
Not a great choice for breakfast and very small seating area.
- 5/5
Downside - they make you pay for parking, but use the overflow parking, which is a public parking space provided by the city. That’s a money grab.
- 5/5
This hotel was perfect for our family's stay in Glenwood Springs!
- 5/5
Hiking in the area. The staff was wonderful!! Very helpful.
- 5/5
Our extended family had a great time at the house.
- 4/5
Nice newer hotel. It is not obvious where the entrance is. We went to the other Marriott next to this one first as they had a very obvious entrance, assuming it was all one facility, which it is not. It would be nice to have ice machines on the floors versus using the in-room freezer ice machines that produce very little ice.
- 4/5
Not enough parking spaces for gas powered cars, EV stations empty and cars parked in non-designated spots. Also, WIFI did not work for this stay, which was inconvenient. IT help line, not helpful, asked for device IP address, making me feel uncomfortable.
- 2/5
Secondly, the breakfast was poor. When I got down there, the eggs were totally runny, and the bacon was gone. Lastly, my room was only partially cleaned from the previous occupant.. I found two glasses of some fluid in it sitting on the nightstand. I paid a lot of money to stay at this hotel since it was right next door to my daughters apartment and did not get the value for service provided….. and then charged $12 on top of it…
- 4/5
The bed was very comfortable. The bedroom and public areas were spotless.
- 3/5
There isn’t enough seating for breakfast. People sitting on floor. Why is it a new thing to charge for parking? It’s ridiculous.
- 5/5
We stayed a few days here in Glenwood Speings and had a great time. The property was clean and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Traveling here made us feel safe…and comfortable. And that matters
- 5/5
It was very nice hotel with kitchen, perfect for the family
- 5/5
Very clean and very nice hotel. In perfect location.
- 5/5
Really nice room. Friendly staff. Quick drive to downtown and to hot springs. Lots of shopping around also. Lived our stay.
- 4/5
Great place but no water offer in the room.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
When I check in they tried to give me a regular room and I show them on my app that I booked king size room because my husband needs a roll in shower.
- 5/5
We stayed in a 2 bedroom handicapped room for my husband. It was perfect. For people with disabilities that need a hoyer lift to get into bed, these beds had an open space under the bed instead of a platform which was super helpful to get him into bed. I was super impressed that this hotel is very wheelchair accessible.
- 4/5
Overall, our stay at the hotel was pleasant. The fact that it's pet-friendly was a huge plus for us. However, we noticed that the cleanliness of the property could be improved. On the bright side, the hotel is situated in a fantastic location. Additionally, the complimentary breakfast had a wide assortment of quality items and added value to our stay. One issue we encountered was during an emergency when we needed ice, but unfortunately, we were directed to use the ice maker in our room, which was not feasible. Despite this, we appreciated the efforts of the staff and enjoyed our time at the hotel
- 4/5
We arrived after 4pm, but our room wasn’t ready. However, the front desk staff was really accommodating & apologetic while we waited. My one issue with the property was that a lot of dogs were staying there. I’m a dog person, but the side doors and stairs were dirty & smelled like dog. I felt the same way about our room - it was dog stinky. Also, the nightly parking fee is a bit excessive for a hotel located outside of town.
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
The hotel is fine and there are none significant cons.
- 3/5
Great location
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
Very comfortable stay. No issues. Thanks 👍
- 5/5
New, clean, great room with kitchen, very comfortable bed, no problem with getting a late checkout, good breakfast included.
- 5/5
Everything looks good, the person at the reception was very good, very friendly
- 5/5
Hotel was super clean and the staff are very friendly. We brought our two dogs and everything was easy. We had a 2 bedroom suite which was plenty of room for 5 people and 2 dogs. The breakfast was great, too — much better than most hotel breakfast buffets. The pool and hot tub were also great and hiking trails were across the street. We would definitely return!
- 5/5
We loved the Hotel, however, the breakfast was not great. But our hotel room was hotel was fantastic.
- 2/5
At check in the girl gave the guy before us a whole run down explaining services available, smiling and laughing. (Flirting?) For us i had to ask about parking and breakfast, at that she basically just pointed to each area, no smile. I could not get any cell service inside the hotel (Xfinity). Not sure if that is a hotel issue or not, but for that reason alone I will not return. The bed was way too firm for our liking. Breakfast apparently ends at 9am, we walked in at 9 sharp and the front desk girl said “go ahead i think there is still some food left.” Then the clean up girl started running around the breakfast area stating “no more waffles we are closed” and as soon as i walked through the doors to my table she slammed the door behind me. Meaning if i forgot anything i was out of luck. She proceeded to stare at us and one other couple as we ate, i felt very uncomfortable and left quickly. At over $200 for one night stay, the experience was not good.
- 4/5
Nice room; large and comfortable.
- 1/5
Booked through hotels.com and balked at the $455/night, but this was where teammates were staying so was important for my son. Saw a max room fee of $360 on the room door and inquired at the desk if I was overcharged. After talking, I learned that there was a $180/night rate for riders in the HS MTB State Finals. Marriott was open to give me the correct rate, but couldn’t as was booked through third party, whom they indicated was through Expedia. They said if I could contact them to get confirmation , then she could update the charge. So I first tried going through the Expedia automated service, which didn’t recognize my reservation. Then tried Hotels online service help and couldn’t pull up this trip. Attempted to find customer service number but the two I found online didn’t work. Never again, lesson learned.
- 4/5
We enjoyed most of our stay here. It was the second time we’ve stayed here. Parking is an issue in the evenings. Our bathroom plugin malfunctioned and it destroyed my expensive flatiron, they would only give me points on my account to compensate me. I don’t have an account so this didn’t really help me.
- 5/5
Very nice area.
- 3/5
Bathroom and fitness room needs to be cleaned or updates also the poverty parking lot space are not enough
- 2/5
The people working at this property were great, but the rooms had an unpleasant odor and smelled like a wet dog. I understand that you are a pet friendly property, but when I asked if you had a room that would accommodate a person who is allergic to pets, I was told that you only had pet friendly rooms. We have stayed at this property many times, and loved the hotel and the location, but the rooms this time were run down, the towels were old and the fabric furniture needed cleaning. There was also a large group attending a conference, so even breakfast was difficult. It was so loud that you couldn’t hold a conversation, coffee was almost always gone and it was hard to get any food.
- 5/5
They fixed the parking issue. Everything else is great.
- 5/5
The room wasn’t cleaned the first night I was there. Luckily, I was only there for two nights and it was only me
- 3/5
Shower backed up
- 3/5
Room #202---Filthy, run-down, and uncomfortable room. The pull-out sofa was unsleepable. Had to go to Target to purchase a blow-up mattress due to the 1" flat pad/mattress on the sofa had bars digging into our backs and was so filthy we did not want to sleep on it! The entire room was dirty. Floors had crumbs. Wall plates and doors had black grime. Purchased cleaning wipes and cleaned the room myself. On top of paying an additional $12.00 per day to park?! Never heard of such a charge. Stay somewhere else!!
- 4/5
I didnt like that there was just one elevator. But customer service was great.
- 5/5
Comfortable, large room with kitchen was welcome. Some TV channels not available though listed on guide; was irritating.
- 5/5
Great place and location and staff 👍
- 3/5
Room was nice and comfortable. Breakfast was terrible. Scrambled eggs had variety of colors, weren’t cooked properly, and options were limited and low quality.
- 5/5
I would suggest a better sofa sleeper mattress - it’s not good when you can feel the coils/springs. I would also like one or two luggage racks available.
- 3/5
There was a barking dog
- 4/5
Really clean
- 5/5
Nice desk and chair. Clean and decent breakfast options.
- 5/5
Sill to be charged for parking in a room I’ve already paid for
- 4/5
Everything was great.
- 5/5
Staff members were nice and very helpful.
- 3/5
Parking sucks. Had to walk more than 100 yds from adjacent parking lot and they charge $12/night for parking.
- 5/5
Friendly staff.
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 5/5
Good, we were very happy with the location and the hotel. The breakfast was great! I would stay here again!
- 1/5
Room type not available upon arrival - had to pay for a more expensive room. Checked us in for the 2nd night stay without our consent
