Easy to get to off the 70 clean room and bed was ok
- 1/5
This was a terrible hotel and doesn’t deserve one star. The room was awful. The stink was so awful and was filthy, the pool was dirty and unusable, hot tub absolutely unusable. I cannot tell you how awful the stench was in our room. The worst hotel I think I’ve ever stayed. If there were ANY rooms available nearby I would have left. My clothes and everything stunk that smell the next day. The ice machine didn’t work, the breakfast was gone at 7:45 am except the cold cereal, warm milk, and old bread for toast. Even pancake batter machine was empty. There was an orange that was set out that was so rotten, the sides were caved in. Ugh. Find a better option!
- 2/5
The pictures online showed a property in much better condition than it actually was. We were told afterwards that the property was “actively working thru a process of upgrades and improvements”. Disgusting hallway carpeting, cheap furniture and a pool that has been closed for more than just our 3 day stay is just a start. Not at all what we expected from this hotel chain. Steer Clear of this one.
- 5/5
Love staying at this hotel when driving cross country. Easy to get to, lots of food and shopping nearby and the breakfast is always good.
- 4/5
Location isn’t really in Golden as I thought it was but it was pretty convenient to drive to where we wanted to go. The hotel is showing signs of age but was pretty clean. Housekeeping didn’t visit our room at all during our stay. We had to go ask for towels. Otherwise, our stay was good.
- 5/5
Great location for attending Red Rocks concerts. Lots of restaurants nearby. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed and clean room. Only disappointment was the out of service hot tub. Would definitely stay again.
- 3/5
Upon arrival they tried to charge me an extra $118 over the price I booked at and there was no manager on the premises to address the issue. Same the following morning. Finally someone with authority showed up and agreed to honor their original rate. Everything looked recently painted and fresh, however there was gum stuck on my carpet. The carpet in my room needed vacuuming, but it was not terrible. Nothing in their website mentioned that they do not offer housekeeping. In three nights no one changed my sheets or offered clean towels. Breakfast supplies were not replenished. People coming in late were out of luck on some items. The location was convenient and the room served its purpose, but the rate issue and lack of management on the premises was concerning. I informed Expedia, who I booked through, about their lack of housekeeping so hopefully they will add it to their information. It could be a deciding factor in choosing a place to stay.
- 2/5
They are clearly under construction to improve the hotel… but our room had wax on the floor, old used tea bags in the keurig, the bathroom light/fan had very loud noise, and the AC also had a terrible noise all night that kept us up. Additionally - out of control of the hotel - but someone was smoking weed and the smell was drifting into our room through vents. The bed was clean and very comfortable and the soap/shampoo/conditioner was nice but overall cleanliness was sub par.
- 3/5
Overall it was ok, however the property had a dated environment.
- 5/5
Great place to stay, staff was helpful and easy to work with.
- 5/5
Comfiest beds ever! Room was very clean. The breakfast had very good food for hotels and many options. I was hoping for more in the gym and it says sauna online but they are not in use. Pool is great tho!
- 3/5
The room was clean but to ask to have trash baskets dumped. Toaster and TV was on the blink occasionally. Staff was friendly
- 5/5
A lot of clean space in 2 room suite. Beds were wonderful, as was staff.

The outlets in the rooms need to be updated. I am sure after years of use they are getting loose and inoperable. The breakfast was ok, but the staff did not do a great job of keeping up with the demands of the people and the amount of food. Also the set up of the flow was very wonky and needs some work. Our bed was good, although i did note that there were some staining on the pillow cases and bed spread, again just getting old and used. Overall it was a good room for sleeping and would come back.
- 2/5
This hotel was purchased by comfort.. Was not as expected...
- 3/5
I got this hotel because they had a pool. When I arrived, the pool was empty and under construction. The Jacuzzi was also full of dirt and empty of water. That was very disappointing to me and our guests.
- 4/5
About what you would expect for a hotel as far as room goes. The pool was being worked on and they began filling the day before we left. The spa and sauna were completely out of operation which was disappointing. They have a very good Continental breakfast. My wife enjoyed the bunny rabbits around the property.
- 2/5
Pool was not working, they were waiting on chemicals. Which could be understandable, except we stayed here last year at the same time of the year and heard exact same story. Why can’t they be better prepared for hot days???? No hangers in the room, had to ask. The AC unit was extremely loud, the toilet was moving and don’t get me started on the stains on the bed under the sheets that wouldn’t stay on and stains on the towels. Great location, but it needs a firm management hand.
- 2/5
I’ll stay elsewhere when I come Back.
- 3/5
Pool area locked closed. Pool is empty and under repair. Hot tub empty of water in the workout room area.
- 4/5
Older look and feel. Confusing on arrival as the front desk was in another building. Good for us for the space in the suite.
- 5/5
Great stay. Room was pretty clean, pillows were great.
- 3/5
Office not clearly marked difficult to find.
- 5/5
Comfortable beds! Great location. Friendly staff! Bring your ear plugs!! You will get great sleep with them!!
- 0.5/5
We did not stay here because there was a man higher than a kite
- 4/5
I have a hard time with ratings. This is a 3 star hotel and in that 3 stars they were a 5 star presentation in that 3 star box. It was clean. Everything worked in our room. The staff was friendly and accommodating to our needs. The breakfast had variety and a very well maintained area. The cost was reasonable and the location was good for even us walkers. (Car trouble put us there.) Seasoned Swine is an excellent barbecue place nearby.
- 5/5
The office needs to be marked on the front and back entrances as it is separate from the main quarters. They need to fix the pool. Do not leave two small used toilet paper rolls at the same time on the spool. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS TOP NOTCH!!
- 3/5
The lobby was oddly not connected to the rooms. There wasn't signage out front so we were unsure if we were in the right place when we arrived. The rooms were very bare feeling. The sofa squeaked when we sat on it. The bathroom was very small. The pool had no water in it. Won't stay there again.
- 2/5
Poor quality and over priced
- 4/5
Very good
- 3/5
Room was clean, bathroom was clean. Only concern was the ac unit. Room kinda had a mold smell to it, the ava wasnt on when I got into room. My throat was all jacked up sleeping in room 204, but once I was outside my throat cleared up. Y'all might wanna test for mold, I might ask for a refund pending on my what dr says. One more thing, you can hear the traffic from I-70. But not bad for a short stay/red rocks trip. Definitely wouldn't stay there more than three days because of the mold smell.
- 3/5
Honestly opinion: I think the murals on the wall, and the art had more thought than the upkeep of the room. I’m glad the bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
The breakfast was great!
- 2.5/5
We had to go to the office every day to ask for clean towels, we had to request if we wanted the room cleaned, even when we requested the room get cleaned they only took the old towels and made the bed, the check in area is a whole separate building from the hotel
- 5/5
Great stop on my way to airport. Breakfast was fresh and shopping nearby.
- 1/5

We asked them to replace the sheets, and just based on the immediate attitude of personnel was obvious they were not going to do anything about it. They said they would, but with an undertone that it was evident it was just a response to make us go away. Suffice to say they did not change the sheets at all, even though they had a few days to do so. They did not have signs to hang outside of room for "do not disturb", and they told us they did not have them but were coming soon. The pool was out of service, and also told us was coming soon. The Comfort Inn & Suites Golden does not even compare to a 1 star motel. Just horrible.
- 4/5
Location and quietness. The breakfast. They served the same breakfast burritos everyday. This is the only reason I’m doing this survey.
- 4/5
We were there for only 2 nights. The second day our room wasn't cleaned, we asked why and if we can get fresh towels, they told us it was only cleaned upon request and we had to go get towels to the front because at 8pm there was no cleaning staff or any service.
- 5/5
The place was good for the price. Had a very slight smell in the hall way but all & all
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 3/5
Check-in was extended because the desk attendant was training and didn't know how charge for a dog. There was long dark hair all over our linens and towels. We had no facial tissues or an extra roll of toilet paper. We only had three sets of towels and there were 5 of us staying there. Even the default setting should have been 4. There was no additional bedding for the pullout bed aside from a hairy pillow. There were crusty stains all over the carpet. So gross. The 2nd night our toilet clogged and when we asked for a plunger the front desk attendant told us we would need to MOVE ROOMS because the maintenance closet was locked. But, as soon as my white husband complained suddenly he remembered where to find one. We asked for more blankets and they didn't have any. Friday morning breakfast a lot of foods were not replenished leaving very few options to actually eat anything. The elevator was Sus. It made weird noises and shook when you stepped in. They did let us extend for a late noon checkout. So, cool.
- 3/5
Comfy beds, nice staff, they let us check in early, pet friendly for $25 Was a bit dirty, hallway carpet was pretty old and gross. They cleaned up breakfast almost 30 minutes early! Many buildings and entrances, but which building/entrance to go to was not explained at check in.
- 4/5
Clean room, easy access, breakfast didnt have many options but still not bad!
- 4/5
Location was perfect for what I had planned. Room was comfortable and enjoyed the breakfast.
- 5/5
Breakfast was delicious. For the three days I was there, gone during the day, my room was never serviced. Bed was very comfortable and tv was excellent. Would stay again
- 5/5
This was our second time staying and is our go to for CO family trips. The location is convenient and clean. The rooms are spacious and the staff is friendly and helpful.

The hotel was clean, the breakfast was great. But it was VERY noisy with interstate traffic so we couldn’t sleep. And the AC was right by the bed so you either froze or were sweating all night

One best comfort Inns i ever stayed at. Good location in Golden. Rooms were nice.
- 5/5
Great location and great breakfast.
- 3/5
Cleanliness of the floors is not good. Few towels and only one ice machine for three floors. The location of the hotel is great though. Close to a mall, restaurants and Red Rock! I suspect third party guest are placed in the least desirable rooms based on cleanliness and amenities not in the room. Not once did I see a housekeeper or housekeeping cart. The check in folks were friendly.
- 4.5/5
The facility was beautiful. The room was fantastic and comfortable.Exactly what we needed for this trip. The continental breakfast exceeded most hotel stays. We had a wonderful variety. The staff as we checked in, checked out and needing help with transportation to an event were absolutely wonderful.

Check-in was smooth, staff were friendly, and the room was clean. It was a great overnight stay.

No coffee or breakfast
- 4/5
Nice room, comfortable bed, very quiet. Rooms were being remodelled throughout the hotel. Missing a coffee machine and an iron. The room was very clean and the staff was wonderful. I would stay here again.
- 2/5
Front desk man was nice. However room was dirty (dirty bedsheets, makeup on towels, dirty tub) and breakfast was not that good.
- 3/5
Property has just been acquired by Comfort Inn and is process of being upgraded to expected level so some things not there yet. Staff was great and helped right away with any issues.
- 2/5
The room was dirty. Disgusting towel soaked with who knows what and left in the fridge! Smelt terrible. If I hadnt gotten there so late and just to sleep I would have freaked out. Which once I woke i pretty much did. Stains on comforter, dirty shower, mis match towels-possibly clean possibly not. I honestly want a refund!!??
- 3/5
The rooms were outdated, with some bad drywall patches. The shower curtain rod was hanging on by 2 screws. The parking lot was full of potholes. The lobby by the elevator smelled like cigarette smoke. And trash and towels were left outside someones room for over 24 hrs.
- 4.5/5
Helpful and courteous staff helped me pick the right room. It's in a prime location, yet is a reasonable price compared to the few other hotels in general area. Good breakfast. Hotel maybe a little worn but still clean.

Average breakfast for hotel, was hot and fresh. The front desk gentleman that checked us in was so kind while us trying to deal with an issue with the reservation through Expedia. Picked this hotel based off location and being very close to Red Rocks Amphitheater
- 2.5/5
I like that it could accept dogs. It was clean. The heat was good when I turned it on in my room. The door had to pushed hard for it to close or open for the room. The TV was hard to understand. The Front Desk person was friendly but he hardly told me where things were like ice and breakfast. The breakfast was microwaved so it tasted like crap. The ham tasted good. The waffles were cold. They didn't have orange juice until right before I left. The beverages weren't on ice. It was one of the worst hotel breakfasts I've had. When I woke up my back hurt. They towel had stains on it.

The hotel was near our doctor’s appointment.

Place was pretty empty as ski season has been a tough one, we were placed way back near the highway, pretty loud so be aware, we’ve always been toward the entrance of the building which is very quiet. Bed and pillow was very comfortable.

- 5/5
Very clean room, very accommodating staff and was not a far ride to RedRocks! The only downfall is, you can hear the interstate but that’s what you get when you pick a hotel right off the interstate lol
- 2/5
The lobby is not attached to the building the rooms are actually in, so that took a minute to find. Water in the lobby has been sitting for days, tasted disgusting. Small room, very dated. Smart TV with no WiFi meant no tv. We had to use our phone as a hot spot to watch. Water in shower smelled terrible when I showered in the morning. The continental breakfast was a joke. The staff was apologetic about the breakfast. It was premade waffles, 2 sausages some ham and cereal.
- 4/5
The room was very clean and rather small, but adequate for a stop-over stay. The check-in staff were very courteous in helping me work through issues with Expedia reservation.
- 3/5
I have stayed here before. It seems to have gone downhill. It was pretty clean. The staff was nice. But no ice machine. Breakfast had meat but no eggs, no pastries, no juice or water. The room we stayed in was on the road side and very loud. I would stay here again by myself but I wouldn't if my wife was with me.

Room was ok, facility is dated at best, they decided to not serve breakfast, even after indicating they had free breakfast….. I believe they didn’t serve breakfast as there were only 5-6 total guests… If you can, choose a different hotel.
- 1/5
The booking from Expedia was not honored by the hotel since they changed from a best western location to a comfort inn location. I had to pay again in person for a room and need a refund for the original Expedia booking.
- 1/5
I couldn’t find the hotel from the street . The hotel didn’t have the correct address and they didn’t have the correct hotel phone number on the hotels.com app. So I wasn’t able to check in at all.
- 3/5
Hotel was purchased by comfort inn , they did not have my reservation. When i presented the paperwork they still did not honor the reservation so i had to pay which was more than my initial reservation even with the manager giving me a discount.
- 1/5
The hotel changed owners, and I lost the deposit I put down.
- 2/5
If property was being sold a reservation should not have been accepted a week before sale.
- 1/5
Terrible. Everything
- 1/5
There was no stay - the hotel was closed down. No lights, no cars, no open doors. I’m sure I was at the right place because there was a big sign on one wall. I called the phone number on the reservation and it said the number was no longer in service. I called Best Western and they couldn’t get in touch with them either. They said they were issuing me a refund, but I don’t know if that will happen or not. Not a good experience to say the least
- 5/5
Amazing staff
- 1/5
Well the room was actually fine, the property had been sold. I called 4 numbers for hotels.com, couldn’t get a human. Finally had to have a chat. Spent almost 2 hours getting it all straight. The chat person argued with me the property was not sold. Like I was making it up? The new property employee was a delight. Spending almost 2 hours with your company trying to figure it all out was a pain. I will be using my credit then I will not be using this company again. Not having an actual human to talk to is very frustrating. My phone was getting low on power, people were calling to see what was happening and I couldn’t respond because then the chat would be lost. Overall dealing with hotels.com was a pain in my butt. Mistakes were made in the selling/ buying of property and the customer paid the price. Things should have been seamless for those with reservations. I made the reservation in November. This should not have happened.

Everything was great! My only "complaint" is that breakfast was the same every day which would have been fine, but I was only able to eat the same thing every day. The eggs had pepper, which I don't like, maybe consider putting out half of the eggs without condiments.
- 5/5
Excelente opción, el desayuno muy variado
- 1/5
Never got checked in. They said they have changed the name and couldn’t check us in under Expedia.com. After about an hour we finally got the room cancelled and found another hotel.
- 5/5
Friently staff
- 3/5
It is the most affordable in the area - but you get what you pay for. Nothing fancy- but clean. Our room had no overhead light and the table lamp was broken so made for a non ideal room.
- 3/5
Other than that, it was a pleasant day. Thank you.
- 3/5
Customer service and check in process were great but the room was dirty and outdated. Overall, the stay was alright.
- 2/5
Very dirty- blood stained towels, hair, stained sheets and comforter. Just gross. Didn’t clean our room after I went to the desk and made a request to correct these items. The attendant was pleasant and breakfast was good. Conveniently located close to the freeway. Easy parking. Marijuana smell in hallway. Would not stay here again.
- 3/5
Very strange building. Photos make rooms look more spacious. Rooms claustrophobic. Have to walk to another building for check-in and breakfast.
- 4/5
I got the 4hrs of sleep and the shower I needed, fresh bacon & waffles at 7:30 am (yet very thin) and the OJ smelled sour like vinegar so I skipped that, overall I'm impressed for Best Western

Nice room, convenient location. Very friendly staff. The little items around the check in and breakfast area we're very thoughtful. A box for letters to Santa and Christmas decorations on all the tables.
- 3/5
A really good breakfast
- 3/5
I booked it for the hot tub but don’t think they have one open.
- 3/5
Sketchy area but fine for just sleeping, we felt safe inside. The property claims to have high speed internet but our TV barely worked due to how poor the WiFi connection was. So if you absolutely need WiFi do not come here

First hotel in my 56 year old life to charge me for early check in. I had just drove for 5 hrs and it was 130 pm and the hotel was empty. I was told it would cost 25 dollars to check in early. I agreed to pay but it definitely did not sit well. The place stunk like cleaning chemicals. I purchased 2 rooms and basically just ate the cost of both rooms and checked right into a different hotel down the street. I very rarely write bad reviews but i had no choice with this one
- 5/5
Fresh breakfast, great beds easy to park and close to dining and shopping options
- 2/5
This is a convenient location and marks a halfway point for travel to see family, so we've stayed here a few times. On this trip one of our rooms was only partially cleaned. Sheets were changed and beds made but the garbage was full and the floors hadn't been cleaned, Our second room the TV didn't work at all, no local channels no streaming service. It would just spin then say sorry unable to connect. I used Expedia to book the rooms and accidentally booked two king beds instead of queens. Using the link sent via text I messaged them directly, my error and requested the two queen beds for both rooms booked. I was told via text that there would be an additional $20 charge per room for the change. I checked Expedia, the cost was the same for either a king or two queen beds. I checked the Best Western ap; there was only a $5 difference. I mentioned it while checking in, and he just politely shrugged. We will be looking elsewhere for a halfway spot to rest during this routine trip in the future.
- 5/5
The rooms were dark. Very limited lighting. Only two small bedside lamps. No other lights in the room. Hard to read anything.
- 4/5
Everything was great except the power went out during our last day there. We weren’t able to utilize anything the day of our departure
- 5/5
Out of the three properties i stayed at for my weekend getaway, this was the best one. The breakfast was full of variety with proteins including cooked ham, bacon, eggs, biscuits. Check in and check out was efficient and quick. The property was clean, quiet, and very secure. Will stay again.
- 5/5
The breakfast was so complete & delicious with fresh fruit and cooked apples that were so nice & warm. The eggs, bacon, Canadian bacon & waffles were very good. I thanked the girl serving, but please thank her too for keeping the buffet stocked with fresh. The breakfast area was bright, sunny & with Christmas decorations on the tables. The staff at the front counter were very polite with their greetings & service. I will share information about this lodging with orhers needing a place to stay in the Denver area. Thank you for everything!!

Staff was wonderful. Room smelled moldy, bathroom floor dirty, drain on sink stinks. Very low light and one burnt out. Outlet on wall does not work. No coffee maker in our room.
- 3/5
The room was decent. The bathroom fan didn't work. The room was kinda of grungy. The breakfastis always the same They need to change it up for those of us who stay every month.. Albeit, this being a fairly new hotel, one would never know it.
- 5/5
Really enjoyed my stay here with my family. I believe the front desk ladys name was bianca?.she was extremely nice and helpful. The room was clean. Everything worked well. The only thing i didnt like was how limited the breakfast was. Not everyone eats pork and eggs lol other than that it was an amazing stay 10/10

The staff was wonderful! Make sure to get a room that doesn’t face the highway or it is a little noisy.
- 5/5
Staff was nice, breakfast has a great variety and is very good, location is perfect, overall very clean!
- 1/5
I will say that the lady at the front desk quickly gave us a new room which was on the second floor. This room had carpeting but still had large crumbs (literally Fritos) so it may have also not been vacuumed. This room did have a phone and headboards as well as mattress covers. However the room overall looked like it hadn’t been kept up, loose fixtures, cheap lamps, bathroom door that wouldn’t shut fully. Not real big deals, but what set my husband off was no coffee pot (it was listed in the room amenities). I have no idea how this got an “excellent” rating.

The location is good but the room is not as clean as expected.
- 4/5
Overall a good stay. Room could’ve been a little more
- 4/5
room was clean, breakfast was one of the nicer ones i’ve had at this price point for the room. My only real complaint is that the hotel comes up as having a hot tub. TechnicLly there is a hot tub but neither it nor the sauna were functioning and in reading reviews it appears it hasn’t been functional for some time. Feels disingenuous to me to list a hot tub that isn’t operational. Overall, I would stay here again.
- 3/5
Room was in good condition. Only complaint is the location is right on a main highway. If you are given a room on the a side, expect constant noise from the highway all night.
- 3/5
Maybe add apples or bananas to breakfast items Staff was friendly.
- 3/5
The rooms were just not like the pictures I had seen at all. But the staff was great.

They have jazzed up an old building. The room was fine. The front desk staff was very nice! And the breakfast food was pretty good.
- 5/5
Stayed here 3x , always great .
- 2/5
There were stains all over the carpet. The AC was very loud and kept waking us up. The bed by the lamp had a dead bulb and a missing glass cover. The phone didnt work. The sauna and hit tub were closed for the rest of the season. TV was fuzzy airwave channels. Overall, a pretty poor experience.
- 5/5
The staff was hospitable and efficient. Super easy stay.
- 5/5
The front desk staff are very accommodating.
- 5/5
All good
- 3/5
The lobby is not connected to the building with the rooms. This was strange and would have been nice to know before arriving. Kudos to the photographer-they made the hotel look much nicer than it really is. The desk attendant lacked a welcoming/friendly personality. Our room was missing its table-there was a large empty space. Two of the towels had reddish marks on them and there was a collection of hair behind the door of the bathroom. Overall, the location was great, but I do not plan on staying here again.
- 5/5
It was great. I recommend it to my family/friends. I will definitely book again in the future!
- 4/5
The only negative was that our room was near the highway, so I heard traffic all night.
- 3/5
Adequate
- 5/5
This was a great stay for our family. It was a great breakfast and the hotel was very quiet all night long. Thank you!
- 4/5
The room was very nice but extremely noisy! Road noise and the A/C unit.
- 5/5
I loved the breakfast and how everything was appropriated tastefully. Fun art work. Upscale amenities in the room. Clean and quiet.
- 5/5
Fresh breakfast. Comfy bed.
- 3/5
Mostly waffles. Not a lot of selection
- 5/5
The room was smaller than usual but it was clean, and bed was very comfortable. Staff on check in was very friendly and on check out. The beds could have used headboard because you were leaning on the wall. The sink was in the bedroom area and not in with the tub and toilet which was slightly inconvenient. For the price those were minor inconveniences. The breakfast offered was better than most hotels. Offered fresh fruit. It was clean and comfortable would recommend.
- 4/5
Nice, affordable stay. We were given a room faing the interstate, which was quite noisy.
- 4/5
This hotel is fine. It’s not amazing but for a clean, budget friendly option in the Golden area it is fine. Plenty of parking. We have stayed before and probably will again.
- 1/5
We had to change rooms many times due to leaky showers, peeling ceiling and red stains on carpet. The power went out the 2nd night and we left. The rooms looked unfinished, no head board and patches in the walls. The pool was closed and it was July…..
- 4/5
The property was okay but needs updating.
- 1/5
I booked this place to have a quiet place to work while in town & the wifi was so poor I had to go to the public library to work instead. I ended up leaving a night early because I had to have a quiet place for work calls.
- 1/5
Expedia sucks. Avoid them at all costs.
- 4/5
Thank You
- 5/5
Clean and close to shopping
- 4/5
Freeway noise too loud but everything else was good to average. Breakfast was great!
- 5/5
Nice location
- 5/5
Friendly staff, breakfast with many options
- 3/5
Room was very nice for the price, comfy beds, but whole facility was just a little grungy feeling.
- 4/5
Convenient stopover location ...a little noisy from I70 which is slightly elevated immediately behind. Eating options close by. Comfortable rooms
- 5/5
We were very happy with this hotel all together! The staff was super helpful and kind, the breakfast was perfect and our room was very clean!
- 5/5
Really cozy. Quite at night. Close proximity to shopping.
- 3/5
We checked in late night. Which was great that they accomidated that.
- 5/5
The hotel is in the ideal location to almost all hiking, the red rocks park and to any activities near downtown Golden. About no more than 10-15min. Theres is also an outlet mall eith good store selections, a super Target and various breakfast and dining options. There is also a gas station next to the property with decent pricing. The property is dated but the beds and bedding were comfortable and the showers had hot running water with good pressure and drainage.
- 4/5
Big rooms, clean, comfortable beds. Breakfast was very good, good variety. Only complaint is the HVAC unit rattled and loud and windows are thin and if facing I70 it is very noisy all night long. We asked to be moved to an open room across the hall the next night but were told it was a $30 upcharge for a similar or lesser room. Didn't appreciate that, but over all not a bad stay.
- 3/5
The beds were comfortable, however, linens appeared dirty. There was hair on the bathroom floor, tub had dark stains on bottom where you stand, toilet paper holder was broken, numerous electrical outlets didn't work so corner lamp didn't turn on, room didn't smell clean. Location is great. Near tons of restaurants, site seeing, and highways.
- 4/5
The only downside to it - the lighting in the room was lacking. For some reason designers seem to think that everyone wants low ambient lights instead multi leveled lights. The lack of lighting was a bit daunting for us - my husband has limited vision and it made him very uncomfortable.
- 4/5
Friendly and professional staff. Comfortable, clean room. Convenient and adequate parking. Hot breakfast included yet with limited choices. Fair price.
- 2/5
Cleaning staff was great and so friendly. The hotel was run down and in terrible condition with poor lighting that made it feel like a crack house. The rugs were dirty and it felt like they just slapped paint on the walls to make what felt like a dump look presentable. All I could think was “this feels like a no-tell motel, I pray there aren’t bed bugs, and I’m sure this was a hotel used for homeless people during the pandemic.” I would never stay here again. Oh, and I was harassed by a homeless and toothless junkie as soon as I parked my car in the parking lot.
- 4/5
Carpets needed cleaning and toilet paper dispenser was broken. Only a tiny trash bag was in the can. Breakfast was decent and coffee was good. Staff was super nice
- 3/5
Almost nothing worked in the gym, the hot tub also didn't work, pool was closed, no room service. Breakfast was better than average, location was good.
- 5/5
The staff when we got here was amazing. So friendly and very helpful! The rooms were very clean and smelled great! Had breakfast this morning and it was very clean and well maintained.
- 2/5
The room had a strong unpleasant odor, and I found hair on both the pillow and the towel, which was very off-putting. I expected a higher standard of cleanliness and comfort from a Best Western property. The positive thing is the hotel is close to Golden.
- 3/5
Provided breakfast was a plus and attract me to stay here. The rooms are minimal but can use an appearance update. The Lobby and Rooms in separate buildings caused a confusion when checking in. The Lobby is welcoming. The front desk was amazing. Guest had to wait numerous times for breakfast refills and had to ask attendant for refills.
- 2/5
This was a little rough.
- 4/5
Ok property Clean room Continental breakfast could use an upgrade .
- 4/5
Had a small issue but management helped us out. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Beds were very comfortable and the room we got was quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and varied. Will definitely return to this hotel. No complaints! Thank you
- 3/5
The staff were all really nice. The room was good enough for us as we were out and about a lot and the location was convenient but there was a weird smell in the room almost like smelly feet or shoes. Overall it didnt seem very clean or like it had been vacuumed or mopped well. Dirty counters and bathroom floor and shower. I had to wipe things down and rinse the shower myself. Bed seemed clean but found stains on the pillow cases. We aren't very picky so we didn't bother to make a fuss about it but would probably try somewhere else next time. Also the water pressure was insane, I like good pressure but it was so hard it actually hurt to shower.
- 5/5
Clean room. Pool and spa were closed for the season. Great breakfast.
- 4/5
Clean quiet nice place to stay
- 1/5
Staff was nice. Breakfast was terrible and cold. Room was non-smoking and our room reeked of smoke! Bathroom was so tiny. Poor lighting, small sink with poor lighting, very few plugs, awkward parking lot. No amenities that website promised. No hairdryer, iron, fridge, coffeemaker or microwave. Felt like a motel. We changed hotels after 1 night!
- 5/5
Shopping center and event center were easily accessible. Staff were very friendly.
- 3/5
They had a good breakfast and kitchen area. However, the rooms were not very clean or comfortable.

If you are expecting a five star luxury hotel this is not that, but you shouldn't be expecting that silly goose because it is the most affordable option near red rocks. Given the price, it is reasonably clean, beds are comfortable and very convenient to Red Rocks but the best part is how offbeat and wonderful and strange this hotel is. If you appreciate the out of the ordinary, if you reject bland corporate sameness, you will enjoy this hotel. From the truly thought provoking and bizarre art adorning the walls of our room, to the unique design choices throughout the property to the abundance of adorable bunnies living in the strip of grass between the street and the parking lot, there was joy and delight in abundance for us here at the Best Western Plus Denver West Golden.
- 1/5
The hot tub was closed. The pool was closed. The room was discussting with odd stains on the wall (looked like splashed puke). The hallways had stained carpet and smelled funky. I would highly recommend to o spend the extra money and stay at a nicer hotel. 10/10 would not recommend. And at checkout when I told the front desk the room was nasty she looked down and said I’m so sorry this happens a lot here. Just thankful we didn’t see any bedbugs etc. ugh!! Great start to vacation.
- 2/5
Showed up to front desk. Walked in the grass. There was a DEAD RAT Laying in the grass. Kitchen staff putting
- 5/5
Other than being a little noisy from traffic on I70 and Rt 6, it was comfortable and clean. It served our purpose well.
- 4/5
Nice room at a reasonable price
- 1/5
Room was dirty like it wasn’t cleaned good,dust/dirt and stains on couch carpet and bed sheets the ac/heater system smelt like urine the sink smelt rotten ever time water was ran, the toilet would bubble and water rise and the parking lot is infested with large rats
- 3/5
Asked for clean towels, they delivered them but did not remove the dirty ones or empty the trash at the same time!!!
- 5/5
adequate breakfast. Lots of eating places within walking distance.
- 4/5
Very busy and loud area, stayed for 1 night ..its a good pass through hotel..but dont plan on staying for more. The bathroom was a little run down but clean. the bed was comfy. The breakfast was surprisingly good with fresh strawberries, blueberries and healthy options which was nice. The lobby and breakfast area was trendy and bright and very clean.
- 5/5
Make sure you get a room the DOESNT face the freeway - unless you want to hear semi truck and motorcycles all night long.
- 3/5
Rooms facing with a window facing the interstate are treated with constant semi truck and other loud exhaust noise. If you request a room that does NOT face the highway, you will be much happier.
- 5/5
Close to Red Rocks!
- 5/5
Nice hotel, clean, nice staff, good breakfast, safe.
- 5/5
Everything was great. Many fresh fruit options at breakfast. Very.nice
- 4/5
The room was clean however our vanity light was very dim and one of the lamps didn't work. We also left something behind, accidentally, and somehow it is now forever "lost". The latter event is what killed a positive review for this hotel.
- 5/5
We always feel very comfortable there
- 5/5
Excellent service and clean room
- 3/5
Extremely loud highway noise all night long.
- 3/5
It was just your average hotel. Served the purpose. Could have been cleaner.
- 5/5
This was a great place to stay especially if you are going to the red rocks amphitheater. They have shuttles that pick you up directly at this location. The best part was being able to walk to different restaurants and find good places to eat. They even had morning breakfast for you available which I was a big fan of.
- 4/5
The room was clean and bigger than I expected. The mattress was very comfortable.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
The rooms were clean, just the hallways had a musty smell, like very old carpet.
- 4/5
Everything was good but small bathroom and not a lot of sink counter space.
- 2/5
The deal clerk was very nice and good at her job. The TV in the room was all static. Pretty loud but our room was across from the elevator. The one time I forget my own shampoo/cond. There was no shampoo but all conditioner bottles lol. It was just a very quick overnight stay so I didn’t complain or call about anything. If it was longer I would’ve.
- 3/5
Sheets and bedding had dirt like someone laid in it snd towels seemer used
- 2/5
Room infested with ants, floor, on my bathroom hygienes stuff on the counter, etc. Sheets too small for the mattresses, pulled way up at the corners. No microwave in the room, even, to heat water for tea, or reheat food. The lobby had almost hot water available, but the lobby is a separate building. And so on...
- 3/5
Room was clean and spacious. Service was excellent. Power went out in the middle of the night. Lobby had power so we could get coffee and a bite to eat.
- 5/5
Very convenient after flying in. Close to car rental.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable
- 3/5
Routine maintenance in rooms would be good. Several small issues- toilet paper holder loose, low setting on fan doesn’t work, phone did not work so had to go to front desk. Besides maintenance, small things like there was no “no disturb” sign, TV took 3 sessions from host to get it to work, no comfortable chair to sit in- only an office chair. No wifi information in room. Asked where ice was which was quite a trek! And housekeeper spoke no English- really?? But this seems to be par for BW although I’ve stayed in better. Lodging is costly but this seems run of the mill average.
- 4/5
A shuttle service can pick you up from the hotel to Red Rocks!
- 5/5
Easy location
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Very clean. Good breakfast.
- 2/5
Our room smelled like wet soured feet. The PTAC (air conditioning unit) was plugged into exposed hole in floor with hot exposed wires. We stayed to be close to Red Rocks but would spend more to not smell the stench and safety havard from the PTAC.
- 1/5
Terrible hotel with terrible service
- 5/5
Checking was quick and easy although one in our party wanted to pay with cash and instead had to use a credit card since cash was not an option. Rooms were clean, beds quality but there was limited seating. Only one office type chair was available so guests were forced to sit on the bed when in the room. The bathroom was not at all handicapped accessible. In fact, when we made the reservation we were told they did not have any handicap accessible rooms in the hotel which was a challenge for one of our family who uses a walker and has difficulty standing. The bathroom door is not wheelchair accessible. Getting in the tub was out of the question for our family member who has a wheelchair but chose to use the walker, thankfully. We chose to stay here simply because it was reasonably priced and close to our family in Golden. It was a pleasant hotel with a nice buffet free breakfast but that one drawback is something to consider if you have a wheelchair bound family member or are yourself.
- 1/5
Carpet was nasty. Room smelled really bad and the AC didn’t help. I didn’t feel safe as a lone guest and I didn’t even stay the first night. I changed hotels.
- 5/5
The rooms were clean and comfortable. Great breakfast bar but get down there early on weekends. The staff did their best to keep it supplied but it was packed with people. The hotel is close to Red Rocks and had good reviews is why we stay there.
- 3/5
The hotel was old . Rust stains, paint old, The breakfast was not good at all
- 3/5
Issue with getting in our room. So they switched us to room #255 and the edge of carpet where it touches the tile was frayed. Window seal was dusty.
- 5/5
staff was very kind and helpful! would recommend and stay here again when i come visit again:)
- 5/5
The internet was so slooooooow. Great breakfast... LOVED the coffee and the FRESH berries!
- 4/5
Friendly staff, good accommodations, comfortable bed and pillows!
- 3/5
Breakfast was disappointing- the only item that was the correct temperature was the yogurt.
- 5/5
First hotel I was ever in where the lobby was not in the main building. I was not the only person who was confused. Every thing else though was fine. Good clean room, excellent breakfast; varied types of food and plenty of it. Easy and friendly checkout. Gas station next door and easy entrance to I-40. Building had no noise from the hi way.
- 3/5
Hotel was okay. The bathroom was tiny, even though the sink was outside of it. The room smelled musty. Window was missing a screen. We had to change rooms after 5 minutes due to soiled linens. Seedy characters hovering around hotel entrance and people followed us in.
- 4/5
When I checked in, I learned that the pool and hot tub were both shut down. That was one of the main reasons I got the place was for the hot tub. And then when we got in the room, I realized the sink was out in part of the room and not in the bathroom with the tub and commode. Very little privacy with my friends.
- 5/5
Very convenient to lots of shopping and restaurants.
- 4/5
Evening staff was very friendly and helpful. Only negative is traffic noise.
- 4/5
The breakfast was really great for continental! Wonderful waffle bar with lots of options.
- 1/5
Room was unclean with no mattress cover, moldy shower mat, and dirty fridge. It apparently was not to the standard I assumed a Plus would be.
- 5/5
Nice clean property for price range. One night stay so didn’t use many amenities. God breakfast.
- 4/5
Small rooms but close to Red Rocks
- 3/5
There was a power outage one morning and no email or communication about it. Also, no cleaning service.
- 5/5
.
- 2/5
The power went out for over 6 hours during my stay. The hotel smelled old and musty.
- 4/5
Spacious room. First time booking a suite. I was impressed with having a kitchen
- 1/5
Dirty, old, exposed electrical wires in the bathroom a d lost power at 6 am. No shower, air conditioning or lights. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in
- 4/5
The room was on the 1st floor and could use venting the air inside the room properly, maybe half a day. The bathroom needs TLC with also proper ventilation. These can be fixed. The bed was comfortable. I choose the hotel due to the proximity to Red Rocks Amphitheater, and it was a breeze. Also, the young man that is at the front desk during the week is very kind and helped me out with deciphering the type of roads I would encounter in the mountains, which I also visited. The included breakfast had a good variety of food.
- 1/5
Check in staff were nice and competent. The room is so eww. The place is older and just gross. Not a pillow case without a stain on it. Thank god we bring our own. Towels with stains. The bathtub looks dirty - apparently it is just rust, as if that’s a comfort. There was a giant spider in the tub - had my partner squish it. No suitcase stand. Just icky. Would never recommend. Just need to get some winks to be back on road.
- 5/5
I called and asked if the HOT TUB AND POOL WERE OPERATING! And they said yes, that they were! And the hot tub was closed or I would not have stayed there’
- 2/5
Also the breakfast featured mostly empty containers. The jacuzzi was out of order. We wanted this place to be our go-to whenever we visit our son at Mines. But the WiFi especially is a deal-killer.
- 1/5
I'll give one star review on Google and Expedia if you keep on being ignorance and illiteracy like this. Until you reach out to my review as real business who cares ...

Good stay
- 5/5
It was a quiet hotel with fantastic staff and a nice breakfast.

- 4/5
Nice staff. Clean. No soap for the shower. Breakfast eggs and oatmeal were empty and not refilled from 8:30am until breakfast was over.
- 4/5
We got to the hotel before “official” check-in time and got a room right away. Hotel staff were pleasant, helpful and accommodating, but they are not tourist guides, so expect to do your homework. The room that we stayed in is great for a short stay where it basically serves as a bedroom. The basic small fridge and Keurig style coffee maker is there, along with the TV, and the bed is very comfortable. The washroom provided the necessary, although toilet and shower were separate from the sink, counter and mirror. The AC worked well, although a little noisy, but when tired after a long day of visiting the amazing lower foothills and Rocky Mountains, that didn’t stop us from having a good night’s sleep. This hotel is conveniently situated in Golden (AKA: Denver West), between Denver proper and the mountain range, and near to many amazing places. Go for it if you’re looking for an affordable place to stay.
- 3/5
Outside was dated but room was fine
- 4/5
Close to shopping and eating centre Big room, but small bathroom. Could do with some extra lighting in the bedroom area
- 2/5
The floor in the room was filthy and when we complained we were handed the managers card who was conveniently unavailable. The air conditioner made a terrible noise that kept us awake and there was a hole in the wall next to if that let in daylight. The spa and steam room was out of order. There was a terrible smell in the hallway . It was like sewage. There were cables in the hallway. Covered but should not be there. The carpet in the hallway was old and filthy.
- 5/5
Closeness to Red Rocks Amphitheater
- 2/5
Hall and rooms were dirty there are windows in the building where you can clearly see mold growing on the glass !

Room was exceptionally clean. Mattress was awesome! And, the Staff were super nice. We could hear the interstate traffic some but it didn’t bother us once we went to sleep.
- 2/5
ant infestation dirty overall
- 4/5
Close to Golden downtown area activities.
- 2/5
Room was dirty, very noisy, and they ran out of the breakfast food
- 3/5
It’s older and carpeted, smelled like old smoke soaked into carpet and furnishings.
- 4/5
Internet access spotty
- 3/5
The breakfast was terrible. Actually no food. Coffee ran out. Everyone there was upset. Only one person to replenish. When food did come out, it was horrible. Didn’t even bother the second day there . Employee behind desk did know area , could not even tell which way the city was.
- 5/5
Great breakfast!
- 4/5
Staff was courteous & helpful. Only complaint, if breakfast goes until 9:00am then there should be full food choices until then for late comers…
- 4.5/5
The WiFi was horrible.
- 5/5
Nothing comes to mind.
- 2.5/5
The location- it was right by the highway so at night you heard all the traffic. The night staff was not helpful.
- 0.5/5
We have always had good luck with Best Western Hotels. This hotel was definitely not up to the standards that we were are used to. The room had a very musty, dirty smell to it. It was not clean. We were very disappointed and did not stay our next night.
- 4/5
Although the room were clean, they could use a bit of an upgrade. WiFi was very spotty.
