I stayed at Solester West Denver Downtown for 6 nights and overall I was not very satisfied with my experience. The price was affordable, which was the main positive, and the room had essentials like plates and utensils. However, the customer service was disappointing and housekeeping was lacking. My towels were never changed during my entire stay, and the room was not cleaned regularly. They also did not provide basic amenities like a toothbrush or toothpaste. While the hotel may be a reasonable choice if you're looking for a budget-friendly stay, I felt the level of service could be much better.

Everyone and everything were excellent. Staff friendly, helpful and accommodating. No cap.

Clean. Not big on hotels that allow animals. Not regretting staying there.
- 5/5
Staff was really helpful when I needed an early check in! The amenities and spacious room made it one of the best hotels me and my husband have stayed in. Clean and a great park right down the road to walk the fur babies. 10/10
- 4/5
The room was clean and looked recently updated and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was the only downside. Although clean it was very old looking almost like a hospital with no place near the sink to put your toiletries or even a hand towel. It was definitely an older hotel that had been renovated. The price was right though
- 4/5
Very comfy room and bed. Everything you need. I would suggest a trash receptacle in the bath.
- 2/5
Coffee maker didn’t work properly, intermittently operational circulation fan made for a stuffy suite, long wait at check-in apparently due to limited staff. Overall impression: meh.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Close to the area we were visiting. Perfect location

Stayed here for a business trip. I had a separate bedroom from the sitting area. All of it was very spacious and clean. The area was quiet and I felt safe. I plan to stay here again next year when I'm in the area.
- 2/5
We were given a handicapped room which we didn’t request. There was no counter top in bathroom which I really needed. Plugs in bathroom didn’t work so had to get ready in bedroom.
- 1/5
The pictures online are deceiving. Gasket in bathtub was bad so you could not take one. The chairs in kitchen were worn and ripping. The room and hall were dirty. I think the cleaning staff was not trained.I would not recommend this hotel.
- 4/5
This was in a quiet location. Clean room, but there was a smell I could not figure out where it was coming from. Like someone cooking. It lingered, the carpet maybe? Not sure. A turn off was the mouse trap in the lobby. Not a good look. Good parking. Lobby floor/ofc area could be kept a little bit better. It had it’s pros and cons.

The front desk agent did not offer any compensation for getting a smaller room than we paid for until I pressed for it and even then they were reluctant. I would be hesitant to book with this property if you have more than 2 guests.
- 4/5
Comfy bed. Good shower.
- 3/5
This is a property where people live. While they do have people that come and go, you can see that people live there. Housekeeping is every two weeks. There is no ice machine and no real amenities for eating there. There is a coffee machine and a toaster and a refrigerator. While this is a non-smoking property, there is a smell of marijuana at the property. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. Just be aware that it is not a typical hotel.
- 3/5
clean room, free parking, but no cooking items (pots, pans, etc.) or dish soap, sponge for kitchen

Nothing The way they cancel our reservation and still had people staying there. No clear reason for them canceling our reservation.

The gal at check in and out was great. Sorry I didn’t get her name. It is clear she tries her best to get people what they need!

I stayed at a Sonesta in another city and had a great experience, but not this one, rooms were not cleaned well, stains on the wall, AC unit was missing parts and could see piles of dirt in it, the hard floors were sticky , the carpets were dirty, when I opened the sofa bed, dirt, food crumbs and other trash were on the lumpy mattress, TV had not connection and the maintenanceperson was not aroundfor the days I stayed, missing remotes, hair dryer and no bedding for the sofa bed. Most of the doors slammed closed very hard, almost crushed my dogs head, luckily I put my foot there to stop the door. I could hear the other rooms using the bathroom, I would go on but running out of characters. I thought Sonesta would be a good place to stay because my family and I stayed in one almost a year long looking for our house. Also with all the time I stayed in a Sonesta, though I should of gotten free room for a month, I guess my points are only good for a year. Well I would recommend the Sonesta in CoS, but I heard they closed or sold the property. I should of taken more photos but was so disgusted and had to clean it up right away, but the photos are the last day before checkout

The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. But it smelled like cigarette smoke and just seemed grimy—clean on the surface, but grimy.

Cigarette butts over front entrance. Phantom charge of $85.38. Inquired at desk. Says it was a computer glitch and it would be refunded. Never refunded! There was a $100 deposit . Never refunded. Room was left in perfect condition after our 4 day stay. Was told to contact front desk after we returned home for refund. Phone number only will inquire about reservations on a recording. No person to talk to. Will have to file a dispute with my credit card. Beware there is maid service only every 2 weeks at this extended stay motel. Extended stay by their advertising means 5 days. We stayed 4 days. Not extended stay according to them. This was the most poorly operated place we've ever stayed. Recommend going elsewhere. We stayed here about a year before and had no problems. Management change has ruined it.

Loved having the kitchen and the unlimited coffee. We had to ask for maid service but it was easy enough to change towels. Front desk young lady was extremely helpful when my laptop wouldn't easily connect to the wifi. I've never had someone in her position say "Well try these 2 or 3 ideas and if they don't work, just bring it down and I'll get it going for you". Outstanding customer service!

Nice place, clean and well kept. Well appointed room with a full kitchen. Great water pressure too. My only complaint was the loudness of the a/c unit and the refrigerator. Would stay here again.

The staff is very accommodating very friendly great people My room was fine there were a couple things though like the toaster didn't work the button doesn't stay down and it seems like the next two were just the same also it's important to maybe to have a can opener in the drawers as well otherwise plenty of dishes because there is a fridge and a stove in your room so you can cook cheaper than going out I guess but back to the subject I was extremely happy oh one more thing the doors are kind of heavy kudos to the staff they run a nice place I don't like the trash bags they're too little, the doors are too heavy for me anyways, my bathroom fan didn't work, I didn't know how to set the alarm clock didn't make sense maybe instructions would be good same with the phone everything else is fine no complaints great people

Terrible. They say that they can assist for check in at any time, but they definitely aren’t. I had to stay elsewhere. Still waiting to hear back from them to get a refund - radio silence.
- 3/5
When we first walked into our room it smelt like dirty diapers. We noticed that even with the air conditioning on, someone had left the window open.. I am assuming to help get rid of the smell. We arrived very late, as we had driven 13 hours, so we went to grab something to eat hoping by the time we got back the smell would be gone. Sadly by the time we got back, the smell was still there and staff was not available. The air conditioning unit made a rattling sound all night. The unit otherwise was very clean. Sadly when we left the next day there was no staff available for us to bring to their attention about the smell or the air conditioning unit. It was just a drop box for our room key.

In a quiet location When I went for a walk in the evening I noticed a couple ( not staying at the hotel) were doing drugs right by the street. They tried to say something to me but At that point I decided to go back and not go for a walk. I had to clean my room when I first came in. There was sticky stuff on the counter and the floor. Overall it was not a good stay. I was supposed to stay until Monday but I ended up checking out Sunday at 10am. Not only did I check out a full 24 hours early without any money being refunded ( that was fine) my 100 dollar refundable fee for damages was not returned. They kept 83 dollars and I had that room cleaner than when I arrived. I have tried calling and leaving messages and no one will respond to why they took that money. Then during my stay I went to get my Nike Hoodie and it was gone. I had it hanging up in the closet and then after going to run a few errands I came back went to put it on and it was gone. When I asked about it they acted like they had no idea what I was saying. Hopefully whoever took it needed it more than me. I have stayed at many places but this was very disappointing, I have never dealt with anything like this before.

Negative: Photos on sites are not up to date. The location inside and out was filthy. There was a random $59 charge that snuck onto my account from this hotel. This was not a holding fee/ deposit. Someone left “dookie” in a trash can in the stairway. It was not taken care of for 3 days until I notified the desk. All kitchen ware was disgusting. I don’t know what that yellowish film was all over everything you’d eat or cook with. Definitely make sure to use the dishwasher before using anything. There is mold growing underneath sinks. Every single drawer, dirty. Towel bar broke off from the wall, bounced off the floor and somehow cut my shin open. The heater stopped working at some point while sleeping, woke up shivering. When I spoke to the manager, he was hardly accommodating with my issue and had an off putting demeanor. Low key, rude. I was offered a refund of money to stay somewhere else. I sloppily have taken it, but it would have been more of an inconvenience on top of my inconveniences at the hotel. He did fix the heater. When I presented a means of peaceful resolution I was given grief by that same manager. My request was a late check for noon. I said we can do this the easy way or the hard way. The hard way is contacting my bank and disputing my uncomfortable stay and contacting corporate about my experience. I was then given a noon check out. Positive: The young woman at counter, professional. Gym, decent.

The $100 cash deposit, I put down for a friend. I asked the manager about it, and he said there was nothing He could do to help me because they didn't accept cash Anymore and didn't have the money to give me the money back. Thought it was kind of rude that he wouldn't even help me even though at the time I'd put the money down They did except cash. Don't know about you, but $100.00 is a lot to me.

For an older property, this was a 10 star! Nice neighborhood and very clean room and everything else. Very professional staff, unlike other similarly priced lodging. I will return again next month for another four days while attending a grandson’s graduation.
- 1/5
The room had multiple issues. Toilet was not working properly. One light was out, the tv in the bedroom did not work. The sofa sleeper only had a single sheet, no blanket. The bedroom closet had no bar for hangers, and there also was not a suitcase holder that folds out to put the suitcase on. The staff was friendly, but the room was in bad shape.

This is a basic no frills place to stay. Every room is a simple suite. Large refrigerator, stove top and supplies. Toaster coffee pot. There is no free breakfast or pool. The rooms are large and all have a single Queen bed. It doesn't have a lobby or dining room but it is a great price. It is more on the lines of an extended stay. It seemed that there were some residents on a monthly stay. We stay here every year as our son live a short distance away. It is pet friendly and has handicap accessible rooms. This is a real bargain. Clean, comfortable and quiet. The seat in our shower was hanging by a screw and having only queensize beds made our sleeping less than what we are used to.

First off, the property on approach is inviting and full of curb appeal even on a cloudy rainy day. Makes checkn out the place qorthwhile when the sun breaks thru. You immediately kno this property is well taken care of. I even found myself working away in the casual atmosphere of the laundry room while waiting for my load to dry. The room was pleasantly clean and crisp. The front desk workers were quite engaging and polite. Ill be returning in the future.

I greatly appreciated the kitchenette in my suite. Saved us a ton of money eating out. I don't mind that the furniture is worn, the carpet is very old, there were dings in the wall, caulking that was separating or that the bathtub didn't drain that well. I did mind the spiders, the dust on the bathroom shelves, the unidentified sticky substance on the coffee table, and the stains on the couch cushions. It gave a grimy feel to the room.

The furniture was all scratched, couched had what looked like puke on it, the back of the bathroom door was filthy, no ice machine in the room or on site, was not aware that this is also a short/long-term living facility not just a hotel. There was no secure internet available. Kids running screaming. Was not acceptable.

The staff are very nice and helpful. The suite had a very loud refrigerator and either needed replaced or a new fan. The room had a scent machine that was awful. The scent was overpowering, stunk and when I asked the front desk if they could turn it off, they said they couldn’t. The scent is so strong and not pleasant it affected my breathing. I had to open windows. The area is not secure and I do not recommend for a single woman. Several men loitered around the back door and leaving it propped open. I was very uncomfortable taking my dogs out at night. Not family friendly at all.

Staff was friendly, room was clean and had a big fridge and kitchenette. It was easy for us to get food delivered too. Would definitely be staying here again!
- 2/5
The 3rd floor had a strong smell, the room had cigarette burns on carpet, boogers on the walls in the bathroom and by the recliner, clipped glassware, the dresser drawer open half way and never stay closed. A lot of small things that show they don’t care about the quality of the service. I expected more from a Sonesta brand hotel. It was more like a super 8.
- 4/5
The staff was amazing the room was clean but the shower was very tiny little to no room. Outside of the shower everything was nice stove in room was convenient as well.

Staff was amazing when I had to cancel for work. I'm a nurse and got called in.

I also asked if I could be located in a room on either the 2nd or 3rd floor level. The desk attendant said that no other rooms were available despite the parking lot being only 30% full. He said it was due to Valentine’s Day weekend, which is hard to believe. Otherwise, I had no problem with my stay. It’s a good value for a hotel room in this part of West Denver/Golden.
- 5/5
No complaints. Very quiet. Friendly front desk.

Highly recommend. The suite is really nice, also stayed a separate time in a standard room and was still very good. Staff super helpful and personable. Nice to have a kitchen in the room, including plates and glass wear. For the price, cannot beat this value.

Nothing. Toilets in 2 of the rooms I was checked into didn't work. Front staff knew there were plumbing issues in the hotel. Hotel is dirty and filthy. Needs a deep clean throughout the entire building.
- 3/5
places that attention to detail was lacking in some areas pertaining to cleanliness but overall not bad. Staff was kind and friendly. I liked the kitchenette.
- 4/5
The hotel provides everything you need to live or have extended stays. Silverware, plates, bowls cups coffee pot stove top refrigerator microwave pots and pans cookware anything and everything you would need in a kitchen is provided by the hotel. In the restroom they also provide shampoo conditioner and body wash attached to the wall in the shower they provide literally everything needed to stay in the kitchenette or on an extended stay for the price it's an excellent deal I will definitely recommend Sonesta as well as be a return customer.
- 1/5
There was no breakfast. Check in was suppose to be at 4:00PM, we arrived at 6:30 or 7:00 and only one of the three rooms I had reserved was ready. They said they would have them ready in 15 to 20 minutes. After waiting over an hour I went back to the front desk to check on our other two rooms, no one was around, I waited for about 15 more minutes then called their emergency phone number, eventually someone came to the desk. We were able to get a second room then, but not on the same floor like I had requested. Once we got into the second room we left to go eat dinner, when we got back from dinner we were finally able to get into the third room. When I got up the next morning there was no hot water. They did get that fixed while we were gone during the day so we had hot showers that night. A couple days after we got home my wife noticed $206.00 charge had been charged to our card. I had to call to have that taken off after they gave me some excuse why they charged it in the first place. I was not impressed.
- 5/5
Room looked to be recently remodeled. Staff was friendly. Good, safe location.
- 5/5
Not only was the room spotless, but iit showed a huge amount of care and welcoming. The lights were on, everything was in its place and nothing missing. I especially admire the handicap bars throught the bathroom. Well placed and hugely appropriate. The one thing I puzzled about was the sink which was absolutely appropriate for a wheelchair, but that meant that it necessitated it to be mounted solely on the wall. It then became a fixture to put weight on and consequently ripped from the wall, subsequently not level for other toiletries. Maybe a sign encouraging others not to lean on it?
- 2/5
Rooms felt unclean and neglected. The area also felt quite unsafe. Had to change rooms because the first reeked of cigarettes. Staff (one woman seemed to be the only soul there) was very kind and accommodating. She had to handle the reception/lobby area and attend rooms. Despite quite the workload she was great.
- 1/5
This place is a RIPOFF they will accuse you of smoking in the room when you don’t even smoke. And then charge you. Shame on all of you people at Sonesta Simply Suites.

The staff was amazing they went above and beyond while we were there for our kids wedding in golden. From the front desk staff to the house keeping staff they were amazing I would highly recommend the property to anyone that asks anytime. Thank you guys for everything

Showr maintenance
- 4/5
The front desk staff is professional & accommodating, the rooms are clean & comfortable, the location is convenient, and the fitness center is well-maintained. My only complaint is that the hotels.com reservation system prevented the front desk staff from switching my room from the ground floor to a room on the upper level. The hotel staff should be able to override such restrictions when the customer is asking for this change in person.
- 5/5
The whole facility was very clean, every staff member I encountered was very friendly and helpful. I felt really comfortable and welcomed. The room was bigger than I expected and the kitchenette was very nice. I will definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
The room was clean, I stayed in 3rd floor and the hallways were clean. Staff were really friendly. The only bad thing that happend is that one of my car windows got shattered sometime in the night and obvoiusly, no businesses are responsible for properly damage in the parking lot.

Room was gross. Bugs on the pillows, heater was dusty and hairs wrapped around the screws. Pubic hair on the desk. Toilet didn't work well and overflowed.
- 2/5
They seemed to nickle and dime everything, every charged for parking. Did not like the attitude.
- 5/5
Courteous front desk staff, clean & comfortable room, nice fitness center, and convenient location to the I-70 corridor.
- 5/5
Stay here frequently. Great deal. Kitchen is a big factor in my choice. Area is quiet but easy access to major roads.
- 4/5
No breakfast served at this location. That would be nice
- 5/5
Use this place frequently. Great value.

Will definitely stay here again

The location looked a little questionable and the building and lobby area was older and slightly dilapidated. The front desk is behind a security glass.
- 4/5
Room has great space and very comfortable. Kitchen was equipped with basics. Property is getting a little tired.
- 2/5
Decent hotel room for the price ridiculously high deposit rooms are OK but the ceilings are paper. Thin people were stomping around all night. Front office was OK not very friendly but not too mean had a weird musky smell, but they were just there for the bronco game.

Decent stay for the convention we were attending.
- 4/5
Nice quiet location just off the busy highway and close to Golden.
- 5/5
The workers are really helpful and friendly
- 5/5
Staff were great lovely stay
- 5/5
We really liked this place. The two rooms, the kitchenette, the full-size fridge. And the table top was perfect for my wife to work on Lego sets. Everyone was friendly. Will stay there again when we’re back in the Denver area.
- 4/5
Very easy for a one night stay.
- 5/5
Great staff, clean room. Could use a bit more air freshener to mitigate cooking smell in the room.
- 4/5
My only suggestion would be a reminder at check in that house keeping comes every 7 days. I didnt need them every day, but we were only given 2 towels and 2 wash clothes for 7 days. I needed more washclothes, and thought they were just missing our room until I asked on the 6th day. I was told that they displayed the information on the website. 🙄
- 5/5
Accommodations were perfect for my needs. Super clean and great amenities for a longer stay. Staff pleasant and helpful. Thank you. 😀
- 3/5
Most everything was great but there were a couple things in the room that were broken.. the drawers would not stay closed. Despite what I tried,
- 5/5
The suite was spacious and very comfortable.

Clean Room
- 4/5
The property was quiet and in a good location. It would've been better if there was a warmer blanket or down comforter on the bed. It was a bit chilly.
- 4/5
Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were mostly comfortable and had some nice amenities. Good location in West Denver for what we were doing. Room was pretty stuffy even with the AC on. Two mornings the clock alarm went off at 7:40 AM in the adjacent room and kept beeping until we had to call the front desk to have them turn it off. The room needed a broom and dustpan.
- 5/5
Close to everything. Very convenient location.

The Sonesta Simply Suites Denver West Federal Center is a well-run, well-located chain hotel near Golden, Denver and the airport. The staff is professional. The room was comfortable, spacious and very clean. I think we had to pay $5.00 for parking, which seems unnecessary. Like many chains, the place is a bit impersonal.
- 5/5
I loved the kitchen facilities in the room. I was there for 7 days visiting my son - who was a patient in the hospital. It was so convenient for preparing meals in the room. The room was big and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was only 1.5 miles from the hospital. Close to plenty of stores and eating places.
- 5/5
It was clean, quiet, friendly and very convenient
- 5/5
A great experience with my stay across the board!
- 4/5
Quiet area, friendly staff
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean room. I stayed here last year and came back because of this.
- 5/5
Easy check-in process and friendly staff
- 5/5
great little suite. comfortable bed.
- 4/5
Exactly what was advertised.
- 5/5
Comfortable place with pleasant, helpful staff
- 4/5
It was ok.
- 3/5
It served its purpose. It is a bit run down and needs some fixing. Staff was friendly. It was nice to have a refrigerator and sink. But a sponge was missing to wash dishes.
- 4/5
The place was reasonably clean, the bed was very comfortable and the staff was friendly and professional. If on a business trip I'd stay there again.
- 2/5
Got bit up by bug from this rooms stay either from using the towels or the bedding I barely got rest here. Worst stay of my whole trip! Terrible way to end my family vacation!
- 1/5
Rooms smelled like smoke and my family and I got bit up by bugs in these rooms would not recommend this place nor stay here again!
- 4/5
Full kitchen, good workspace, good Internet, access, reasonable price
- 3/5
Good service, kind and friendly staff, very attentive to our needs, comfortable bed, pull out bed not so comfortable. Loud noises from the AC at night made sleep restless. Would stay again, but will definitely not stay close to any exterior AC units or any units with old ACs
- 5/5
Staff was friendly, the suit was great and the place is very quiet, definitely will keep staying with them in a future!!!
- 5/5
The hotel is super quiet, clean and the staff was attentive to my needs. In addition, the hotel is conveniently located to downtown Denver and to downtown Golden. It's perfectly situated right off of 6th Ave. I slept well, as the hotel was very quiet.
- 4/5
Great choice for an easy stay
- 4/5
Fine place to stay
- 3/5
The property needs some work, remodeling and updating. It hasn't aged well and hopefully the new ownership takes this task on.
- 1/5
I would not recommend this place to anyone. Upon arrival, the toilet flooded which was inconvenient. During our 4 day stay, our room was never cleaned. The place is also dirty, stains on toilet etc.
- 4/5
Our check in was quick and easy. The room was clean. We had no complaints.
- 5/5
I found this to be a good place to stay. The hotel and the area around it are a bit generic, lacking any distinctives of interest. However, I found the hotel to be clean, functional, and well located for the purposes of my visit to Denver. The room was large and comfortable with a large workspace.
- 5/5
We were going to a concert at Red Rocks & didn’t want to drive 90 mins home so late. This place was perfect & I will stay here in the future.
- 2/5
No blanket. No coffee mug. No soap in the bathroom sink bathroom sink wouldn’t drain no paper towels and kitchen.
- 5/5
This was a very clean property. We had everything we needed for our stay.
- 3/5
The beds were comfortable, but the cleanliness was not great. The pull out couch mattress was absolutely disgusting. It was covered with pet hair and urine stains. There were also no sheets or blankets for the pull out couch. We had two rooms to accommodate our family of six. One room had a small bar of soap in the bathroom, but the other room had nothing. Also, we tried to use the dishwasher and the water to the dishwasher wasn't even turned on. My husband turned it on, and it worked fine, but made me wonder how clean the dishes in the cupboards were from previous guests. The employees were friendly and nice, but the rooms could use some help.
- 5/5
It was a very short trip, but they were very accommodating. Our first room the phone did not work so they had us change rooms and I was good after that very comfortable.
- 3/5
I’m a 60 year old woman and was traveling solo. I did not feel safe. The personnel was kept behind a plexiglass. He was friendly enough and checked me in efficiently. The halls were narrow and dark. I selected this hotel based on customer rating which was very good and then price. I will not be back to this one.
- 3/5
I liked that the staff in the evening was friendly at check-in and what was not great was your staff in the kitchen, not friendly or polite and room bed was stiff, restroom needed floor repairs and 3rd floor need repairs near the elevator floors.
- 4/5
Working away from home can be expensive. The queen bed studio room was very comfortable and afforded me the ability to cook at “home”. The front desk staff were super helpful and friendly.
- 2/5
First room assigned to us was visibly filthy with garbage on the floor and literal waste in the toilet. Second smelled overwhelmingly of cigarette smoke. Third had an overpowering chemical smell. Desk staff was helpful but did not look remotely surprised or bothered that they'd sent guests to two separate filthy rooms.
- 3/5
This hotel needs some TLC. Many things need to be fixed or tightened, such as toilet roll holder, shower soaps holder, & towel racks. This was an accessible room, but the shower curtain was so close to the shower head you were touching it. The floor had a lot of stains in the room & in hallway. It is in a nice quiet area and is pet friendly.
- 4/5
The property was mostly ok. Seemed dingy and unkempt. Broken down vehicle right by the entrance was filled with trash. Hallways smelled of smoke, in a smoke free building. Smell never went away. Carpets were very stained. Didn't feel or look clean. There was an extra charge for parking that wasn't well advertised.
- 4/5
My room was nice. It was equipped with all of the essentials and was clean and updated. The check-in area was cramped and the employees were behind windows and locked doors which made me feel like there was a safety issue in the hotel. The hallways smelled moderately of old cigarette smoke and the walls and doors in the hallways could use a fresh coat of paint. That said, my room was lovely and quiet. I would stay here again.

Great stay
- 1/5
We had to change rooms 2 different times during our 3 night stay... Upon checking in, the room that was initially issued had a terrible smell, so we requested a room change. The front desk lady was very pleasant and promptly helped us change rooms. While in this room, the toilet became plugged the first night. I requested a plunger and it took at least 2-3 hours to get a plunger and the plunger was like a toy...something you would get for a dollar or 2 from the dollar store...it did not create a vacuum around the toilet hole to effectively plunge. After plunging for 15-20 minutes and putting hot water in the toilet, it flushed enough to flush water but nothing more. The air conditioner in the room also struggled to keep the room a little cooler than outside temperature. The next morning, I went back to the front desk and asked if they had a better plunger, as we were in need of using the restroom! They did offer to have us change rooms again. The front desk lady, again, was very pleasant. The new room had better air conditioning but did struggle to cool the whole room. When the bedroom door was closed, it did not get any cool air as the air conditioner was in the living room. The toilet in the new room did work well. However, this room also had a rather foul smell, kind of musty and stale smelling. I had to ask for a can of air freshener, which mildly helped but had to keep using it intermittently. The cleanliness of the rooms was also sketchy, with multiple carpet stains and food stains on the walls that had not been washed off. Finally, upon checking out and reviewing my credit card bill, I was overcharged by 15 dollars. I had made my reservation through booking.com and was charged 15 dollars more than my statement. Upon calling the hotel, they said the 15 extra dollars was for a 5 dollar per night parking fee that they had been experimenting with.
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay- the staff was great, the room outstandingly clean, comfortable bed, and my favorite thing: an el-shaped desk, so I could work without staring straight into a wall. I will be back!
- 5/5
Clean and convenient
- 4/5
My ice maker was not in the fridge and the ac was not cold enough for me. Would like a fan
- 5/5
Amazing quality of room/bed/amenities for the price! Would absolutely stay again!
- 3/5
Overall our stay was fine. This hotel is set up for longer-term stays, which we knew going in, and that was fine. It's not what I would call a super nice hotel, but was priced right and was clean, so those were our priorities. We had to change rooms twice - the first room the bathroom door handle was broken and I was stuck in the bathroom until their maintenance staff (with my help) busted a hole int he door to remove the broken handle. They responded to the issue quickly and the whole deal was probably only 10 minutes. Not a big deal for me, because sometimes stuff just happens. Floor manager was super friendly and very apologetic, and (appropriately) comped our stay for the night. So they moved us to another room, which we settled into only to discover the toilet was clogged. Again, prompt response from staff but they couldn't get it fixed. So, they ultimately moved us to another room (upgrade) and the rest of our stay was fine. The area is OK but not much (restaurants, shops etc) within short walking distance - again not a concern for our stay but fyi. So hard to rate this stay/place. We had some unfortunate odd things happen but staff took care of the issues quickly and appropriately. The manager mentioned that she had only very recently taken over this property and was working to make improvements. 5 stars for her.
- 3/5
Dishes dirty and room had a strong smell
- 5/5
Close enough to downtown for what I needed, I like that they have kitchens so I can bring my own food when I staryt for business
- 3/5
Picture on internet doesn’t look like actual hotel
- 3/5
Shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash were what you would expect for the price. Unfortunately we had hotel staff come into the room while were gone and leave the door open, which we found when we got back. Considering the hotel does not offer safes it was slightly concerning. Front desk staff was very friendly.
- 3/5
2 of 3. Nights we did not have hot water. This was not shared with us upon checkin. When we inquired we were told we’d get 30% off the nights we didn’t have hot water. They would not allow us to leave or give a refund. The staff was all very kind and the manager did follow up when questioned about this. Not much immediately around the place. Corridors were dirty bit rooms were decent.
- 2/5
I was checking in to the hotel and the guy at the front desk took 20 minutes to go help me. After he acknowledged me and continued talking on his personal phone.
- 4/5
Check in was nice and front desk person provided a 3rd floor.
- 2.5/5
The staff was friendly and helpful; the room was recently remodeled and comfortable; parking and location was good. As noted in what I did not like, the hotel has had some problems but I believe the staff is working hard to resolve them. It is an extended stay hotel so there is no daily maid service. Because it is an extended stay hotel, it has had problems with long term renters. There were five or six rooms sealed and being decontaminated because residents were making meth. Our hallway had a peculiar smell that I have learned is from cooking meth. As you came into the hotel parking lot there was a junk pickup loaded with rubbish that was spilling out on the parking lot around it making for a very unattractive entry. I learned from the staff that this belonged to a long term renter who was being evicted. Because of these issues, the hotel has a refundable $500 deposit for all stays. Again, I think the staff is working hard to resolve these issues.
- 1/5
The first thing we see on the way to our room is 3 doors to 3 different rooms on our floor wrapped in plastic with a note on the door for meth decontamination. Get in our room, there is a portable AC unit on the floor, the AC must not had been working correctly in the room. Pulled the pull out sofa bed out, there were crumbs all over the mattress. Checked the bed in the bedroom and there was a dirty syringe wrapper under the mattress. We went down stairs and asked for a refund and told them we weren’t staying there because all of this. I would never book this hotel.
- 5/5
very quiet
- 5/5
Nice size room. Comfy bed
- 1/5
“Inhabitable room” tape was on a door on the floor we were staying on. And our toilet clogged, they gave us a plumber to unclog it ourselves, said there was too much paper product in the toilet and because the toilets are from 1998 there’s nothing they could do. We went without a toilet in our room for our 3 day stay. They also made us pay $5 for parking per night, I never had my pass shown in my vehicle. It’s a pesudo charge with no enforcement or reason, there’s 40 empty spots on a busy Fourth of July weekend.
- 3/5
Hallways smelled like smoke, multiple rooms taped off due to drug activity but no clear indication anything is being done to remedy the situation. Room was okay (still many indications it was not thoroughly cleaned) and the fridge was dirty. Decent location from Red Rocks but will not be coming back as there are many other locations nearby. Also, a $500 deposit is a bit much
- 5/5
Loved this hotel. The room was perfectly clean and the in room kitchen was stocked with items we needed which was refreshing compared to other places we have stayed with kitchens. The one thing we noticed was all of the trash cans were overflowing all the time it seemed but otherwise the place was really clean. LOVED the staff, above and beyond. Will stay again.
- 5/5
Right from the start the process of checking in was very easy. The room was very clean. Staff was on stand by and ready to help.
- 3/5
Unfortunately there was no soap/handsoap in the room, but everything else was very nice and clean. The size of the room was nice. When random people started throwing a loud party in the parking lot at 2 am, I was able to call the front desk and they immediately put an end to this disruption.
- 5/5
Great staff and wonderful amenities!
- 3/5
Shortage of towels and toilet paper
- 3/5
The rooms are nice and clean, But the carpet in the hallways are stinky smelling and dirty
- 4/5
Like the room but its showing ware and tear! Need to keep it up better!
- 3/5
The overall process and accommodations were fine, however we had some issues with our room. We checked in late at night and immediately noticed a bad smell upon entering our room. We cracked the window to air things out and went to sleep. The next morning we discovered the toilet was covered in feces, the microwave had old food all over the turntable, and the garbage disposal seemed to be part of the poor smell. The shower also didn't drain properly (common in hotels it seems). Management luckily had someone come in to clean the microwave and toilet while we were out after we showed them photos and requested it, though offering us a different room would have been preferrable. The security deposit is also astronomical - $500 for a few nights? The entire stay cost me $502. They even have it listed as $250 on their policies in the room. I also have a mysterious $20 charge on my card after getting the deposit back that I don't feel like dealing with. Is this for parking? I was never informed it had a cost, so I don't know.
- 1/5
We arrived at 3:20 not realizing check in wasn't until 4;00. We were told they were still cleaning our suite with 2 beds for us (two single women traveling together). We had Ubered there from the airport so we agreed to go find a restaurant until our 4pm check in. There was no restroom in the lobby to use nor was there a place to store our bags. We took our bags and Ubered $10 to a nearby restaurant. We killed an hour and came back around 4:30, paying another $10. We were told our room was still not ready. We agreed to take a smaller room and share a queen bed just to get a room because by then we were late for our evening plans. The room smelled like smoke and it was very uncomfortable sharing a bed. The young lady that came on duty at the time we were leaving for our event was very apologetic and said she had reached out to Expedia to get us a refund on the price difference of the suite we had booked vs the smoky queen room we received. I have not heard anything and it has been 2 weeks. I waited to post a poor review hoping that the refund would offset the poor experience we had but I haven't seen a price adjustment nor has anyone reached out to me.
- 5/5
It was a great location for us to enjoy a concert at Red Rocks! Clean, quiet, would stay again.
- 5/5
Room was clean as a whistle. The parking lot could use some attention. All in all, a very good deal.
- 4/5
The bed was really comfortable
- 4/5
bon hotel
- 1/5
It was insisted that we pay an additional fee for checking in 30’ early. The bathroom sink was an absolute clog back washing other hair and debris. Yes, maintenance came in and couldn’t fix it. Thus the bathroom faucet was loose-allowing us that this was the room from hell. The shower water controller was piped backwards thus taking a chance of scalding my wife. The kitchen faucet was in poor condition due to its looseness. Pictures were taken in order to send via an email at Sonesta. I had considered asking for some monetary compensation but realizing that I wasn’t going to waste my time. My son and daughter in law were staying at another Sonesta in town down by Lone Tree in Denver and were absolutely in love with it. The thing about our stay place was, it’s a managerial issue/money issue. As rating this stay would be like staying at a Motel 6 back in the 70s and 80s. Nowadays Motel 6 has stepped up their game to find their even balance. Sonesta Suite in Boulder/Federal Center location needs to find that sweet spot. Won’t be staying at this Sonesta and word of mouth goes a long way.
- 5/5
Having a kitchen for this trip was great
- 3/5
Bathroom wasn't the cleanest. Check-in a bit slow with new person in training.
- 5/5
Good office table
- 1/5
Service charges staff member very rude and arrogant. He needs to look up the term CUSTOMER SERVICE. Will NEVER stay there again or recommend. Paid $537.07 for four night stay which was $536.07 too much.
- 2/5
Right off the bat the security lock from the room was broken, mentioned it to the front desk and all she said was I will leave it noted on the door tag. Then the kitchen sink was clogged and with the water sitting there it made the room smell. I had to put the trash outside the door in the morning when we were heading out for the day because not once did housekeeping go while we were there and when we got back to the room that night the trash was still outside the door. We stayed 4 nights, several rooms had stickers placed on the doors saying inhabited for people due to unlivable conditions. Next time will definitely book elsewhere.
- 2/5
The bed was super comfortable which was great. However the rest of the furnishings were cheap and my room needed some repairs.
- 1/5
Filthy, outdated, damaged, crack den. Have no idea why it was rated the way it was.
- 5/5
Mattress was great
- 4/5
The pull out couch mattress needs replacing. Very lumpy
- 4/5
The staff were amazingly friendly and the rooms were clean.
- 3/5
Decent place, needs some work.
- 3/5
The staff was nice enough at the desk. The very first thing I noticed was that the entry floor, the corridor carpeting and elevator looked like they hadn't been vacuumed or swept in a while. I brought this to the front desk's attention and there was some non sense answer about not knowing when housekeeping would get to it. The corridor carpet and elevator was not cleaned for my entire 8 night stay. The room was OK but upon using the dishwasher, the sink backed up with the most fowl and disgusting smelling water imaginable because the garbage disposal was not working. It was a good thing that I was able to open the windo in my room. I called the front desk to let them know. Their response was not immediate but two staff members did eventually make their way to my room. The breaker switch had tripped and the garbage disposal needed to be cranked with the key to unjamb it. It is hard to fathom that housekeeping had not needed to use the dishwasher to clean leftover dirty dishes by previous occupants and didn't notice the sink backing up. At the very least the staff should make sure everything in the room is operable after one occupant checks out and a new one checks in. There was barely enough silver in the drawer for one person and needed to ask for more. To make matters worse, I booked a 2nd room for a business associate and his family and they made mention of how the corridors were not regularly vacuumed or floor areas mopped and swept. This was personally very embarrassing.
- 1/5
I have traveled all over the world, including third world countries and this establishment was unequivocally, the absolute worst, I have ever stayed at. Everything smells like cigarettes, garbage, and mold. Do not stay here if you want to enjoy coming home. RIP to my weekend. And hopefully smooth sailing to yours by avoiding this absolute shipwreck of a stay.
- 5/5
The propertywas in a great location for where we needed to be. Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms could have been a bit cleaner.
- 4/5
Bed was comfortable and room was clean. The only negatives were there needed to be more counter space in the bathroom and the bathtub was slow draining.
- 3/5
Our stay here was ok. When we arrived it was raining pretty hard and they had no covered area to unload, which is very unusual, so all of our luggage (and us) were soaked. The registration area (lobby) was very small. The halls and stairways smelled pretty bad. The room was fine and the bed comfortable. We probably wouldn't stay at a Sonesta again.
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay
- 3/5
The incidental deposit is ridiculous.
- 2/5
I don’t recommend this hotel. Did not feel safe during my stay there at all. Smelly hallways, old bathrooms, no amenities, sketchy neighbourhood. For the same price there are much better options around; I’d stay elsewhere next time I’m in the area.
- 2/5
It was supposed to be a non-smoker hotel; the entire 2nd floor and my room reeked of cigarette smoke the entire stay. The doors were super heavy, you could hear room doors slamming all throughout the night. The room was missing towel racks, trash blown around the property outside. Employees seemed to be on continuous smoke breaks right outside the main entry dooor so you had to walk through their cigarette smoke to enter the building. I have a service animal, they failed to mention when I made the reservation that there would be a $500.00 hold on your credit card that didn't have an immediate release upon check-out and verifying that there was no damage to the room. So if you are traveling and were counting on that $500.00 for your next accommodations, it wasn't readily available, which forced me and my service animal to have to sleep in my car a couple of nights.
- 2/5
The main entrance to the hotel is very small and hard to find, and there is no lobby, just a small check-in counter. The check-in process is very slow, took us about 20 minutes to just do a simple check-in. Booking the room doesn't even come with a bottle of water. you'll have to buy from the check-in counter. The room itself is fine, but my assigned room had weird smell when I got in. Overall a pretty poor experience, do not recommend.
- 1/5
Check-in advertised as 4:00 p.m. Got to the hotel around 6:00 p.m. Our room was not ready. Steph told us three different times it would be ready in about 10 minutes. Finally after over an hour, we were finally able to get into our room for a much-needed rest! Our room appear to be fairly clean but the hallways, elevator and even the hotel entry door handle were filthy! The next morning when we got up to shower there was no hot water. Steph said they had boiler problems. When our daughter and her two small girls checked into their room, the lock on the door would not open. They waited in our room until over a ½ hr. until the hotel staff got them another room to stay in. WLater that night, our daughter ran water in the kitchen sink, & it was as if the P-tra drain was not even connected! Water began flowing out like crazy all over the floor from underneath the cabinet! Would not recommend this hotel for anyone to stay in until there is some serious changes made for maintenance upkeep and better cleanliness!
- 4/5
It was quite and affordable
