Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating the friendly staff and comfortable beds, but expressing dissatisfaction with the hidden parking fees and outdated rooms. Many guests also mention issues with cleanliness in some areas of the hotel.
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Comfortable beds
- Hidden parking fees
- Outdated rooms and facilities
- 5/5
All the staff were super friendly and kind and greeted us whether we were entering or leaving the hotel. The bed was comfortable and clean. The amenity of the gym was a small selection, and the only issue was the breakfast buffet. The trash was overflowing. He didn’t know which was decaf or regular coffee and the waffle machine didn’t work both days a little dated, but like I noted the staff, they were all amazing.
- 5/5
Great breakfast
- 3/5
Great location
- 4/5
I don’t like that there is no hand soap for the bathroom sink. There were 4 small bottles of products including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion, but sadly no mini bar of soap.
- 5/5
A1. Very non diverse main attraction
- 5/5
We reserved the conference room, but they didn't follow through with it. Mixed drinks were tasteless and expensive.
- 4/5
We were in a room facing the freeway (6th floor) and could hear the roar of traffic all night long.
- 5/5
Clean, well maintained older property with spacious rooms and a nice bathroom suite.
- 4/5
I thought the hotel was lovely, the hot tub was hot, but the jets weren't working, and the pool was cool. The room was clean and nice. I really like it. The breakfast buffet was the regular buffet you can get anywhere. I am always glad of a complimentary breakfast. It was the usual fair and usual quality.
- 3.5/5
Good mattresses/pillows….good breakfast Tired furniture needs replacing or at least refurbishing….air conditioning unit dials are worn out. Toilet flushing is longgggg. One sad little soap. Room is tired
- 2/5
This property is in desperate need of a renovation. The rooms are so old and musty and we couldn’t get any fresh air into them. Every time we came back to our room it was like oh it’s so moldy smelling in here. We kept the air running 24 seven just to try to keep some air somehow circulating in there.Everything just seemed like it was in a time warp. A plus is it is literally 2 minutes from the airport The staff was great so helpful ! We needed a ride to the airport to get our rental car and Bridget jumped right up to take us . She also went out of her way to come back and return my phone when I left it behind. For us, it was great having a local restaurant and bar attached to the property so we didn’t have to go far for dinner and entertainment every night and the meatloaf was amazing. We also heard the Indian food was really great !! Amber at the bar was very welcoming and attentive. If we were coming back I think i would spend a little more money for a brighter, newer, cleaner property instead of feeling trapped in a musty older room. But if that doesn’t bother you , you will be treated great by the staff and team there!
- 2/5
This is an older hotel that has had few updates over the years. The staff was nice and the rooms were mostly clean, but the property, the grounds, lobby, hallways and the restaurants were worn and in need of complete updating. We agreed to a nearly $200 a night room based on pictures, which were not accurate. Not a property that I would recommend.
- 5/5
brekfast
- 5/5
Stay here all the time love the bar restaurant down with live music
- 4/5
The breakfast was alot better then i expected. Said I didn't find out until i missed to. My family spend alot of time in the swim area and it was disappointing no plugs, jets didn't work and seemed to be the pne spot that wasn't that clean
- 3/5
Nice clean room We me book with booking dot com and it mentioned all the amenities you had, including pet friendly. It did not say there was an extra charge for pets when we got there. They wanted $40 per room per night. Extra for the dog for us. It was only $90 for 2 people at $45 each. So basically you charge just as much for the dog as you did, people. Now what we didn't like was that there was no bed for the dog. There was no breakfast for the dog. There was no shower for the dog. There was no microwave for the dog and the dog was only 5 pounds. Now , you tell me , does that sound fair. Also, there was another dog that was staying that week.It was only a little miniature poodle , also , and they charged that lady forty dollars per night times five night

Superb
- 4/5
The breakfast was a great deal. However, I had to ask for napkins at the front desk as the attendant was no where to be found. Some of the choices were gone or missing when we arrived at 8:00am. Some choices were replenished but not all. There was no half n half available. The only complaint we had was the breakfast. The area was small but beautiful with great wood and wonderful wall decor. We were told there are new owners and we hope they leave the beautiful detailed wood in all the rooms and common areas.
- 5/5
100% would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Great hotel for the price…clean rooms and excellent staff. The bar restaurant has delicious Indian food. Close and convenient to airport. They also offer free airport shuttle
- 3/5
I never used the swimming pool or restaurant on site. Bed was comfortable, no bugs, It is a little out dated but was ok.
- 3/5
The hotel was just ok. Although clean, it needs updating as the furniture is worn and out of date. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fine. The spa jets in the pool area were not working.
- 5/5
Wish they had a laundry room.
- 5/5
Really clean and they have a nice bar
- 4/5
The area is safe with decent restaurants around. Our room had the mountain view. Though their room keys were not working well. Tried many times before the door was unlocked. Breakfast had the hype but just the usual continental breakfast.
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
An enjoyable stay
- 5/5
They have happy hour . Tuesday is Taco Tuesday in the bar so qe got free dinner with our drinks. The staff was friendly and they had a nice breakfast buffet
- 5/5
Awesome hotel , great room , bed was comfortable.
- 4/5
Rooms could use some renovation 229
- 3/5
Breakfast was awesome, got water was not real hot but usable. Slow getting deposit returned.
- 4/5
Loved that they had a comfortable lobby with all the antique chairs and tables. We were able to gather as a group and play games or just chit chat. Also have a bar on site with both live music and piped in. Nice for the evenings if you wanted to stick close.
- 3.5/5
Good
- 0.5/5
Not much to like about this property. The elevator worked and there was hot water. One thing I loved was the half full body wash leftover from the last person. Didn’t like the staff here. Felt like i was harassed and over managed. $10 parking and $40 pet fees
- 5/5
Had an association to a nice gym within walking distance - free
- 5/5
I have stayed here in the past and it felt run down. Not the same place now. Clean, Well maintained. Very friendly staff. Nice complimentary breakfast. and the room was very nice. I ended up in a fifth floor corner suite. Exceptional. And nice comfortable firm new mattress.
- 5/5
Basic, easy access low price hotel with a restaurant and a bar.
- 3/5
The hotel was clean and staff helpful. Room was comfortable but a bit dated. Complimentary breakfast was good, but there were times when we found ourselves having to wait for waffles and coffee to be refilled. Overall, for the price a good value.
- 3/5
The room could be cleaned better. Breakfast was great.
- 5/5
Clean room bar staff breakfast
- 4/5
Fun, historic hotel with nice amenities.
- 5/5
Bed was a little old. The room was a little old furnished, but overall great experience.
- 0.5/5
Easy access to I-70 and airport Smelled like cigarette smoke, A/C did not work well. TV could not stream any platforms and was super small. Management was incredibly rude and unwilling to refund for checking out early. We paid for one night and asked to be refunded the other night, even though we did not stay either night.
- 2/5
Unfortunately it wasn’t a great stay. I went to the lounge (decor from the 70s) for a cocktail and dinner. The bartender was beyond rude and unpleasant, so much so that 2 customers looked up from their dinners after hearing how she spoke to me. When I opened my bed late that night there was some weird blood like stain on the sheets. Although they did refund me, it was not a pleasant hotel experience!
- 4/5
This hotel is something of a throwback. It has that '70s brutalist architecture, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The ground floor area near the dining room and breakfast bar is an interesting time capsule that has some unique pieces of Colorado history. The rooms show their age a bit but they have been updated over the years. Central location near the interstate and access to local Red Rock hiking. With the different rooms at different price ranges, you can definitely find what you're looking for at this hotel. The king size room was ideal for a Solo traveler such as myself. And the breakfast buffet was a nice add... Scrambled eggs, sausage links and biscuits and gravy fueled a good early morning send off. Definitely stay here again. They also accommodated my early check-in request which was much appreciated.
- 3/5
Staff are kind. Was 100 d3
- 5/5
Walking distance to airport, but they also offered a shuttle pre-dawn.
- 5/5
This is a VERY nice, clean and WONDERFUL place to stay!!!!! GREAT view and AWESOME rooms!!!! AMAZING entertainment as well!! Highly recommended!!!! Thank you and God Bless!!! 😊🙏❤️
- 1/5
Counter staff rude, will not return!
- 4/5
The check in process was seamless. When we got to our room it was so hot. The condition of that room was run down! The window ac unit was extremely old as well, I turned it on the best I could figure out, it blew warm air. I called the front desk and Kenton assisted me in getting a new room. 100% better, the ac worked and the room wasn’t so run down. Food was good at the restaurant. Room was quiet through the night!
- 2.5/5
I stayed here for the pool. It was freezing cold. Every guest I saw at the pool found it unusable. The pictures on Bookings.com do not accurately depict the property. There was no where to comfortably walk the dog. They had 2 urns of lukewarm coffee in the lobby all day and night until I came down to get coffee at 5:45 am.... no coffee at all. Desk said no coffee until after 6:30. I found that to be ludicrous. Check in employees made me feel like a walking dollar bill instead of an appreciated guest. I will always pick the Clarion first after this stay. I arrived stressed expecting to unwind with my grandchildren. I left even more stressed. The pool could have been warm. The coffee could have been tended better and available by 5am. The check in folks could have made me feel more welcome. There could have been a dog walking area. My standard bed was comfortable but my daughter said the queen bed (in the deluxe "king" room?) was like sleeping on a cardboard box.
- 4/5
We've stayed here a few times for the NightVision Festive. Always clean rooms and a friendly staff. Parking!
- 3/5
Both duvets were stained in the room and the pool wasn't clean, there were bandages in the pool and other items overall just dirty
- 4/5
It wasn’t bad but the hotel serves as a gathering for locals because of the restaurant on site and it got very busy at night and parking was hard to find.
- 5/5
The breakfast offered a nice variety beyond the usual muffins and cold cereal:: oatmeal, toast, bagels, apples and oranges. We wish it had a modern coffee maker that offered latte, expresso and hot chocolate.
- 4/5
It was definitely an older, outdated property, but we expected that going in. Our room was large and the tv was far too small for the space.
- 5/5
Older but clean
- 5/5
We really enjoy staying at the Grand Mesa. The price is usually very affordable but this stay the price was very high, due to the events happening in Grand Junction. We had to be in Grand Junction for business reasons but I think it was very high for what we usually pay.
- 5/5
Great room, clean bathroom/shower. Nice morning breakfast area.
- 4/5
Room and properly was clean but room had a musty smell to it, which did go away after the air conditioner ran for awhile
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly, clean comfortable beds.
- 5/5
Loved the Indian restaurant. The cookie desert was amazing.
- 3/5
Pleasant
- 2/5
Heated pool and the TV working and coffee before 7am
- 4/5
Great for the price. I would stay there again.
- 5/5
We were only there as a quick overnight on a road trip, however, all was good!
- 5/5
I have stayed in this hotel many times. It is very convenient to fly out of Grand Junction. The staff is professional and friendly. The restaurant on property is awesome. They have a chef that does amazing Indian food it that's your thing. Great price for a room...clean and spacious.
- 4/5
Have stayed here several times. Certainly a good value. Nice clean place with restaurant and bar. Good sized room. Only complaint is the internet - slow and intermittent.
- 2/5
Very outdated hotel. It’s a time capsule not in a good way. The paint is peeling off the ceiling, the furniture is old, heavily used and it doesn’t make you feel comfortable. Only pillows were comfortable. The breakfast was simple and fully stocked. If you check in later in the day, parking might be limited. Very outdated, heavily used, not clean- we had some hair on the sink counter. Pool was milky.
- 4/5
Clean facility and rooms. They forget about tea drinkers in the room and lobby but had it at breakfast😊
- 5/5
Stayed one night. Room was clean and comfortable. Would stay again.
- 2.5/5
Passable
- 2.5/5
Location is good. Close to the airport. Beds were actually comfortable. Quite can't hear other guest in the rooms next door or above. Lots of parking. Onsite Indian food restaurant and bar. No opion on either didn't get to try them. Older hotel well very old. There is evidence of attempts at updating but overall still older. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and some general questionable cleaning practices. The hotel is older and it is unrealistic to get things super clean. Breakfast was mediocre. It is a buffet the hot items were not hot.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 4/5
Nice location for our needs, check in was easy and our room was nice.
- 5/5
It was clean and very comfortable The pool was cold and no jets for the hot tub
- 3/5
old 80’s charm.. clean but rundown. Toilet seat lid didn’t stay up and bedside lamps didn’t work.
- 5/5
We kind of just picked this place because of the reviews and really liked it. The floor in the room dropped off a bit on one side but wasn't a big deal. The restaurant was great too. We'd stay here again. The staff were friendly and helpful too. The included breakfast was as good as any other place we've stayed.
- 5/5
We choose to stay at the Grand Vista Hotel whenever we are in GJ due to its location, friendly, professional, informative, courteous staff, ambiance and affordability. Nothing really.
- 1/5
The pillows Everything else. Staff was rude, extra deposits, uncomfortable bed ... not worth 400+ dollars spent
- 5/5
Pleasant stay was there one night. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Clean room and hotel lobby. Breakfast buffet was good. Dinner at Bailey's was delicious.
- 5/5
The breakfast buffet was delicious. The room was very nice. Definitely going to be back!
- 5/5
Bathroom was clean but carpet in room needs to be removed due to bad smell. Breakfast was fine. Female bartender was great! One big problem was a sharp metal piece that stuff out of bed frame that my husband hit his leg on. I informed front desk and showed her a picture. Didn’t seem concerned at all.
- 5/5
Clean, spacious room. Good breakfast
- 5/5
Superb clean room and breakfast that was included was delicious
- 3/5
Check-in staff was not friendly or welcoming. Had issues with key to room but we eventually figured out the issue. We like the decor of the lobby and restaurant.
- 4/5
Overall a great stay for the night. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. Only minor complaints I have were that the sink was slow to drain and the shower/tub mechanism was a little stiff and hard to work. Nothing that would deter me from staying here again.
- 4/5
I would say it’s good in overall.
- 3/5
The hotel was once probably a nice property.....40 years ago, I would guess. Our particular experience shows how lack of caring about maintenance and lack of caring eneough to have a manager on duty ON A WEEKEND can affect such a hotel.
- 4/5
Great stay. Room was a little dated, but comfortable and clean.
- 5/5
We didn't leave our room, so no opinion of amenities. Room was roomy and we liked the quality white bed covering that had a thin white cording in a gently rolling design. there was a microwave and refrigerator, but no bathroom amenities.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well-furnished. It is an old hotel, but beautiful inside, especially the dining areas. Breakfast was wonderful! We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay there again.
- 5/5
Great location. Comfy bed. Good breakfast and onsite restaurant
- 5/5
Excellent and friendly stafff
- 3/5
Room was okay. Even though it is a non smoking room and floor, still smells like smoke. We had stayed in the hotel a couple nights before and the lady at check was not friendly at all. This time the staff was great. And the ac worked and toilet flushed.
- 3/5
We booked 3 rooms. One of the rooms the air conditioner didn’t work and the toilet didn’t flush. It was so late when we finally got to the room that we just dealt with it. The lady checking us in was not friendly, she seemed to be bothered by us. Breakfast was okay, items were not available when we tried to eat.
- 4/5
Has covered parking
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful,
- 3/5
Room was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was confusing due to buffet breakfast being held in on-site restaurant. Small seating capacity and not much variety in food.
- 5/5
Nice bar on site, very convenient. Pretty good breakfast compared to the usual slop places serve these days. Nice room, good water pressure in shower. Reasonably priced.
- 4/5
We thought the rooms were ok. Breakfast was good and well supplied. We were charged $100 over our room rate any it took 5 days to pot the money back into our account. I thought $100 was too much and a surprise. And when the security deposit didn’t make it back onto our card it caused us to make some calls. Everything is ok mow
- 4/5
Good service!
- 2/5
Oliver's (restaurant) was very good at dinner, but the breakfast was TERRIBLE!! The eggs were literally swimming in water. The sausage was dried out and flavorless. The biscuits looked like they had been made ahead and refrigerated overnight. It was so gross! I do not recommend this hotel!
- 3/5
Pool heater was bro
- 5/5
We booked a room fornour family last minute and could not have been happier. Great option for families. We received 20 percent off our dinner in the restaurant and there was a included breakfast. They have a pool available for use as well. The price of the room was also reasonable. Could not have been happier!
- 3/5
It is a very dated hotel. It was just ok for an overnight. I would not stay longer than one night.
- 3/5
Nice place, great breakfast and view. Extremely thin walls. Could hear everything in the long hallway and neighboring rooms
- 4/5
The breakfast was good. It was the same thing 3 days in a row. The staff was nice in helping get our keys to work. They stopped working 2-3 times. Over all it was a great experience.
- 4/5
I've stayed several times at Grand Vista. The staff were helpful and, for the price, it's a decent place to stay. I prefer staying on the side that faces the Colorado National Monument.
- 1/5
After finally getting checked in, we arrive on the third floor and there were piles of dirty laundry outside of rooms. (Yes, I have pictures) Upon arriving inside our room, several things were broken in our room. (Pictures of those items as well) And there was an odor I couldn't identify, musty, and unkept? The pillows were lumpy, it was like sleeping on stuffed blankets inside of pillow cases, and the bed was terrible! Considering the pictures the hotel displays, I expected a lot more from this place! And I will definitely never stay here again!
- 2/5
Tiny beds and ice cold swimming pool.
- 5/5
One of our friends had taken a big fall before arriving - the staff were so helpful in helping her get comfortable, getting to a Convenient Care, and providing a wheel chair!
- 5/5
Easy check in and staff are very helpful and friendly
- 4/5
We came in for a Little League Tournament and really liked that there was breakfast and karaoke was a great surprise!
- 3/5
The room was very outdated and had a musty smell but was fairly clean. It was very noisy, walls were thin.
- 4/5
It’s kinda funky and neat but shows its age. Carpets need stretching, bathroom could use some updating, etc. It seems to be a bargain among airport hotels and we’d stay there again. Nice staff, good breakfast included, slow but free EV charger available.
- 4/5
No hot water one night!
- 3/5
Did not use
- 5/5
Everything good. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
Clean room, nice staff, nice breakfast.
- 4/5
Good price, good location
- 3/5
Rooms were a little outdated, but perfect for my family of 3 for the night. The breakfast buffet was awesome!!! And the staff were super kind and recommended a really good restaurant. Besides the cops being called for the homeless people fighting outside it was good.
- 4/5
The hotel was nice for the price point, and the staff were courteous and helpful. No jets in the hot tub, but enjoyed the soak and swim nonetheless.
- 4/5
Pleasant stay. The hotel furnishings are older but everything was clean. Breakfast buffet was good.
- 4/5
It was fine. About what one would expect.
- 5/5
Always perfect for 13 years I’ve been staying here!!!
- 4/5
This is nice, clean hotel that is very affordable with a very friendly, welcoming staff. The room was clean with a comfortable bed. The free breakfast buffet was excellent. We did a midway stop here during our long road trip to southern Utah. I'd pick this place again.
- 3/5
Hotel, lounge and restaurant were great. Rooms were a little gross and outdated.
- 3/5
It is a very outdated hotel.
- 5/5
Grand Vista Hotel was fabulous! It had a restaurant that had delicious food at reasonable prices, which was great after a long day driving. Comfy beds, good breakfast and very helpful staff! Highly recommended!
- 4/5
This hotel is surprisingly big. It is a little difficult to find a parking spot since the hotel allows people to park here for airport.
- 5/5
The breakfast was very good and included fresh fruit. The rooms was clean. The bed was very comfortable.
- 5/5
Very helpful and courteous staff. The rooms were clean and the hotel was VERY quiet. It felt like how hotels used to be with such great customer service instead of hotels that have been taken over by large corporations.
- 5/5
Everything was amazing during our stay
- 1/5
The beds were awful!! The common area was cute and the staff were nice. But the beds alone could ruin the whole stay.
- 4/5
Great staff. Breakfast was very good
- 4/5
.
- 5/5
Love staying at grand Vista. Always accommodating. Hold my reservations when im going to be after 11 p.m. Will stay again
- 3/5
Room furniture and rug a bit shabby.
- 2/5
We wouldn't even shower there. Our tub was a jetted tub, I could see build up in the jet.... so we passed. This place needs updating so very badly.
- 2/5
Dingy, old, and dated. Supposed fitness center had a rack of dumbbells, a bench, and a stair climber. Room furnishings were old worn wood and bathroom cabinets were dirty. Carpet in room was old and musty smelling. Definitely would never stay here again.
- 3/5
Thought I booked a queen double bed ended up with twin size beds (the standard), the mattresses were very stiff not comfortable. The room was clean looking until you settled in, the bathroom was not clean it had hair all around the faucet and sink in the bathroom, we decided not to shower because it was dirty, the walls/cabinet area in the bathroom was very dirty. The mirrors both the one in the bathroom and the one by the closet were dirty with fingerprints/ dirty spots. The lobby smelled like a pool and looked nice, the area was very nice, the bar looked fun but didn’t get to use and the breakfast was very good. The staff was very nice and helpful with check in and check out. I personally did not feel like it was worth the amount I paid for and only stayed one night.
- 4/5
Hotel was a bit Average. I think it needs some update in Decor. Service Team was Average, none gave any Welcome talk or vibes in Check in.
- 4/5
Breakfast was good and the staff was excellent
- 5/5
Nice place. Reasonable prices.
- 3/5
Room was very clean. Shower is not tall people friendly. My husband is 6'0", he couldn't stand under the shower without bending backwards. Pillows are the size of couch throw pillows. Tried to go to the bar, ignored by the staff for at least 25 minutes, even when my husband tried to speak to the server directly. Breakfast was basic, slow to refill items. Appears the property is severely understaffed. Ending on a positive note, SYLVIA at the front desk was AMAZING!! SHE GETS 5 STARS!✨️🫶✨️ We probably will not stay there again.
- 2/5
Staff were very friendly, however the building is very out of date and not well maintained. Our room felt like we were in the '70s and it hadn't been updated since. Carpet was wrinkled. Wallpaper was peeling off. Caulking around all kinds of areas in the bathroom. Missing or discolored. Just felt like maintenance is lacking in this property. Hotel smells like it used to be a smoker. Hotel. Won't be back
- 4/5
The hotel was great. The continental breakfast was delicious. Baileys Lounge had good dining and music. The pet fee was a little high($40/night) compared to other places I’ve stayed. The pool and hot tub were great since they are indoors. So you have access year round.
- 4/5
Seems to be older property with upgrades. Our pillows were bit too firm and uncomfortable for our taste; however, the mattress was very comfortable. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were very pleasant especially the maid whom we met on our way out:)
- 4/5
Good for the price. Clean Room
- 3/5
The best part of the stay was the food. I had an Indian dish for dinner that was very good and the breakfast buffet was as good as other similar hotel chains. The bar was very old school (dark and dingy) but there was live music. The room however smelled very musty, almost like an old smoking room in hotels from an era ago. The mini fridge was very small and dirty. This might be a good budget choice stay for some, but was not the comfort level in the room that I was looking for.
- 3/5
Breakfast was pretty good. Nice staff. The room was OLD, but we were just doing an overnight.
- 4/5
Good breakfast
- 5/5
Clean room, very nice staff, hot breakfast, good value
- 5/5
Good selection on the breakfast bar. Clean, very spacious room. Tv should be a larger screen based on the size of the room. Staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
Great hotel for the cost.
- 5/5
The breakfast was fresh and hot.
- 3/5
The rooms were very dated. Super old furniture and carpet. Could use an update. Check in and staff are good. Bed was clean and pretty comfortable. That was the best part. The room was not very clean in today’s standards. Lots of dust around the room and not what I typically get at 3 star hotels. Our sink would take 30 min or so to drain. Just stayed one night after our flight.
- 3/5
Not as good as it seems from outside building, outdated, not clean rooms
- 4/5
I was disappointed that there was no laundry offered. I would have wanted an ability to wash my clothes by myself, as offered in other hotels. They referred me to a laundry mat far away. The housekeeping staff barely cleaned our room. Took towels but did not replace them. We had to ask. One bed was made, the other wasn't. Did not refill any of our soaps or shampoos during the whole stay. You had to ask for everything. One floor smelled good, the other floor smelled like weed. Stay if you're not picky. And the price is good enough for the whole stay.
- 5/5
Convenient location close to the airport.
- 1/5
There was a very bad smell in the hotel and it was even worse in the room. You couldn't even open the window to get fresh air. The bathroom sink was clogged. The hotel staff was not friendly. Overall, it was not a good experience at all.
- 4/5
Close to the airport and easy to find. The staff were friendly and helped ensure we had rooms that met our needs
- 5/5
Truly grand! A clean hotel room with complimentary toiletries, comfortable bed, and a good refrigerator with a freezer section and a microwave. A delicious breakfast buffet included with eggs, a good variety of carbs, and coffee to get a good start to your day with some hot, filling food and caffeine. The staff was courteous. I had an enjoyable and comfortable stay.
- 2/5
Would not recommend. Bathroom was not fully clean and place was run down.
- 5/5
Yes
- 3/5
The TV remote didn't work & the standing lamp wouodnn't turn on & the windows were not clean
- 5/5
Friendly staff, great price, would stay there again.
- 4/5
We stayed as a large group. The breakfast had a lot of variety and nice place to eat (restaurant).
- 5/5
Great view from the top floor.
- 4/5
I was really impressed with this hotel. The rooms are clean. The pool was nice. I really enjoyed being able to swim to get some exercise during a conference. And I love that they used their amazingly decorated restaurant for our breakfast venue. It was just really nice and felt elevated. The bed was very comfortable in the room, quiet. I had a really good sleep here. The price was really low, so you just never know what to expect. Looking out the window at the other hotel across the canal I could see that they were empty, but this hotel is very full and yet still well run and quiet. Obviously different business plans. I feel very welcomed and really enjoyed this place. Well done.
- 3/5
The property looks old & worn out. Staff friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay. Close to Airport. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
I love this hotel. It is older but well kept with wonderful staff. A great value.
- 1/5
The morning staff was extremely rude and attempted to not let me check out because they didnt like what I had to say on the phone while I was in lo by in a private conversation.
- 5/5
The room was spacious the shower was definitely a bit short for my husband who’s 6’4. The breakfast was nice.
- 4/5
Location is central, food at Baileys is amazing, and staff is super helpful.
- 3/5
Staff was great. Breakfast was very underwhelming. Food was barely warm and flavorless. Housekeeping came into our room at 9 in the morning trying to clean it. They said we were checked out but we had the do not disturb sign up. Room was clean. Easy access to airport and interstate
- 3/5
It was okay!
- 5/5
We loved the very comfortable bed and there was Plenty of hot water in the shower. The toiletries were definitely lacking, no shampoo or conditioner or body lotion only a foil packet with body wash/shampoo. There was a click that did not have the correct time and could not be changed. Overall, we liked that we could get a good nights sleep and a decent shower.
- 5/5
Clean rooms! Great water pressure! The bar and restaurant were amazing!
- 2/5
I had room 116 it was on 1st floor near the entrance. There were people coming and going well past 0130. Car doors and trunks were being closed, some slammed. I tried to sleep but couldn’t so I packed up and left the hotel and continued my journey cross country. I would never again get an even numbered room by the front entrance.
- 3/5
Rooms were clean and housekeeping made up the bed even though I was staying 2 nights so that was a plus
- 3/5
Great breakfast. Pool. Bar. Fridge. Key system is a bit clunky. Easy parking
- 4/5
Outlets in room were inconvenient and could use some lamps with plugs or extenders for desk and bedside table. The alarm clock has an outdated plugin.
- 4/5
We stayed one night and had a good experience overall. The room was clean. The breakfast buffet was good. The hotel decor and furnishings need to be updated. However, our room on the 3rd floor had a wonderful view of the mesas near Grand Junction. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Absolutely delicious Everything was fresh and hot and wonderful. We really hadnt ever seen such a great continental breakfast as this ever! It was perfect!!
- 4/5
Lots of choices at the breakfast buffet. The coffee was especially delicious!
- 5/5
We only stayed one night and got up before breakfast for an early flight. This hotel is awesome with a great restaurant inside which also has music starting at 5 pm. It is three minutes from the airport. We would highly recommend it and would stay here again if we decide to travel to Grand Junction again.
- 4/5
Slightly tired decor and underwhelming breakfast but friendly staff and good location.
- 5/5
Premium first class service. We enjoyed our two day stay.
- 4/5
The room is a standard hotel room. Good for the price.
- 5/5
The bull Elk statue outside the main entrance is beautiful. The indoor pool and hot tub were delightful, as well as the staff and it was clean.
- 3/5
Had to move room due to strange small in room (maybe from the old A/C unit in the room
- 3/5
The staff member that was there when checking in for our room was a bit rude, with sighing when asked a question, just did not have a great character to be behind the counter, the other woman and gentlemen was great when checking out
- 5/5
Great Great value and good staff!
- 3/5
Everything was clean and organized. Was definitely an affordable visit.
- 5/5
Good breakfast and excellent Nepali and indian restuarant on site
- 5/5
Breakfast was quite good, the new Nepali menu was excellent, a good reason to stay at the hotel.
- 5/5
Great breakfast selection and everything is fresh and nicely presented.
- 4/5
This property
- 5/5
Friendly staff Great on site restaurant Great buffet breakfast Great price We will definitely stay here again!!
- 5/5
Room was clean staff helpful breakfast was good
- 5/5
Room was clean and cozy
- 4/5
Our room could use a little tlc
- 5/5
Breakfast was fresh hot and clean
- 3/5
Hotel staff was absolutely lovely, however, the property is definitely aging and it is an older hotel without many new amenities. Rooms were an acceptable size but very noisy and I had to leave the hotel because it was just too loud and I couldn’t get any sleep.
- 2/5
Doesn’t look anything like the pics, front desk staff is very rude, karaoke night till midnight with the double doors open was not pleasant, the door to the room didn’t fit so light filtered thru all night, no gripping material in the shower so was a bit dangerous, bathroom in the main area, one of the stalls has no door, breakfast was horrible, stairs to the first floor were not safe at all. Will not stay here again.
- 4/5
For the money it's 5 stars. It is a great value for an affordable hotel, clean venue, etc. It's not a Hilton but a great place to stay.
- 5/5
Wish the hot tub had its keys working but other than that it's a great place to stay comfy beds friendly staff
- 5/5
Room was clean and fresh smelling! Staff were friendly and professional!
- 5/5
Love that I feel safe and comfortable! I’ll stay each time I’m in GJ!! Thank you
- 3/5
Rooms in need of updating, stains on linens, the door was missing the latch plate. You can tell there hasnt been maintenance done in a long time. Jets not working in hottub. The hotel seems as though it has been neglected by maintenance
- 4/5
Overall really clean and the breakfast had a good variety the staff is friendly
- 5/5
Everything was top notch
- 5/5
The staff were all helpful and the breakfast was great
- 3/5
The price was fairly low. They are near the airport and dog friendly. The pool is nice. The parking is free. The building is pretty old, it is fairly clean but needs some fixing up (mostly cosmetic). There are good restaurants nearby. I won't be staying here again.
- 1/5
Outdated, not clean, not enough shampoo and conditioner. We do not recommend and are not staying here again.
- 5/5
Yes breakfast was good
- 5/5
I did not stay for breakfast
- 5/5
Breakfast was good but it would be nice to have a gluten free pastry
- 2/5
My
- 4/5
I only stayed a night and for the price it was no problem at all! I cannot really speak on any amenities as it was a quick overnight for me but I was however appalled they have covers for muddy shoes when you walk in as if the rooms are clean. It was non smoking but smelt like an ashtray and the refrigerator barely worked. I even unplugged/plugged it back in, no setting dial. I slept well and felt safe though so for that I am grateful!
- 5/5
Front desk was friendly and helpful, the included breakfast was fantastic. Would stay again
- 4/5
Staff was very nice. My family enjoyed the indoor pool.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 2/5
There was garbage under both beds. The ac unit knob was greasy. The walls are paper thin which made it difficult to sleep with all the noise. The breakfast was non edible.
- 2/5
The rooms are definitely what you pay for, it was me and my fiances first time solo traveling and i thought i just got lucky with a good deal but soon realized why it was so cheap. The rooms are smelly and broken, and while the iverall staff was nice upper management had no good customer servuce at all.
- 1/5
Very thin walls and the people next door were parting way past 1am. Every time we called the front desk, they would come up and say they can't hear anything. We had two kids and kept them up. Asked to be moved twice and gave up and drove home at 1:30 am.
- 3/5
Facility is a bit tired and dated, but OK. Watch out for the cheap room rate and the hidden hefty parking fee that was a surprise. Not a nice way to conduct business.
- 3/5
The price of the room is inline with the accommodations. The room was dated, smelled of old smoke and mildew. But if you're looking for a cheap place to stay that has a clean bathroom and clean bed, that is just a place to rest your head, this is your place. They have a full bar and restaurant attached that is convenient.
- 1/5
Brenda was rude. Brenda is not professional. Brenda will ruin your day. Don’t bother trying to enjoy your stay, Brenda will do everything in her power to upset you. Brenda seeks to upset guests she really brings everyone down. It is a waste to find peace in your stay because Brenda will disrupt that peace. Brenda is not helpful.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean rooms that super comfortable
- 5/5
This is my fourth stay and this was my favorite room. Clean, friendly
- 5/5
The staff was courteous, the housekeeping department kept the hotel super clean, the room was spotless.
- 5/5
Nice staff, clean rooms
- 5/5
Wonderful
- 1/5
Staff at the desk is not helpful and seemed bothered by requests to change room when the bedding was not clean(blood stains on sheets).
- 4/5
It was a nice hotel and rooms were clean, hotel is pretty busy and has entertainment. A fee for parking and a deposit is required.
- 4/5
It’s an older hotel, so the walls are a bit thin, and the furniture is outdated, but the room was clean, bathroom was clean and the pool was pretty good.
- 3/5
Room was clean enough. Charging for parking is idiotic when I can stay across the street for the same price with free parking. The workout gym is false advertising. It's pathetic
- 3/5
I only got complimentary room coffee first day, i was there 3
- 4/5
Staff and clean room.
- 2/5
Parking was an additional $14, which was not mentioned anywhere on Expedia. The room was clean but the walls were thin. The breakfast cost extra, which was not mentioned. Lastly, the hot tub and pool were closed. When we tried to call ahead to ask we were met with a robot and could not connect with a real person at the front desk.
- 5/5
Clean, courteous staff. Always a good stay.
- 4/5
Good room and service but window edge had a bad seal and humidity built up but nothing too bad. A maintenance person gave me a AA battery which help me keep my insulin pump operational without having to leave.
- 4/5
Great staff. Very helpful.
- 1/5
Brenda was rude and argumentative. Brenda was unprofessional. Brenda failed on every level at presenting basic hospitality skills. I will easily give the rest of the team 5 stars for their performance and for the level of respect that I experienced. Brenda single handily brought down this review and should find a different line of work more fitting to her rude unfriendly personality. I don’t want to interact with Brenda in the future and whoever reads this should avoid her if you intend to smile afterwards.
- 5/5
Yes
- 1/5
Staff was pretty good except for a few exceptions! I called today bc I had checked out 3 days ago and today I was charged $100. Why? For parking ! That they told me at check-in they were discounting the $14/day bc the hotel was going through ownership change. Then when I called to ask about charges, guy was very rude and not sure if refund will be going through. The hotel windows don’t open so full of stale air. At least they gave me a fan for my 2 week stay. They do room checks everyday, regardless if you want cleaning or not to “make sure everything is ok in the room and with the ppl.” There are signs in pool area you cannot swim alone. And the hot tub keys are ripped out and sign saying they don’t exist. Contential breakfast was $9 and buffet $20. I read that so I never went to the restaurant. Yes you can order off the menu but I was done giving this hotel my money. I NEVER give reviews. But this hotel was one of the worst I’ve ever stayed at! Staff was good but all seemed combative if you mentioned anything. I think it’s bc they work in a hotel wfull of mold!
- 1/5
Staff was not friendly and there was a surprise charge on my bill.
- 5/5
Always amazing!
- 2/5
We have stayed in the past but this time the staff was not friendly the Hotel was run down and I felt uncomfortable
- 5/5
Clean rooms and overall building and space.
- 2/5
The shower pressure was terrible, was very loud, also the shower head was so low you had to crouch to get wet.
- 5/5
Always excellent.front desk staff and always clean comfortable rooms.
- 3/5
Hot tub was on the small side. The hotel was quite nice before but seems to be falling on the quality. New charge for parking is excessive. Affordable room rate was the best part.
- 5/5
My K9 companion of 13 years passed away from cancer during my stay. I cannot thank the staff enough for supporting me during this difficult period of grieving my loss. Everyone was incredibly understanding and sympathetic. I felt welcomed and at home as if I was around family. Again thank you.
- 4/5
The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The lady that checked us in was unfriendly and I think would benefit taking lessons from the lady that checked us out. She was very nice and pleasant. Maybe the lady at ck in was having a bad day. The Bar tender was very nice and quite fun to visit with. Thank you.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff efficient and close to the airport
- 5/5
The staff was extremely nice and friendly. Jess was the best!!!!
- 5/5
Rooms were clean daily, hotel staff was friendly. No issue’s of any kind and had a great stay, I would recommend.
- 4/5
The room was clean, the staff was courteous. I was surprised I had to pay $14 parking.
- 5/5
The front desk manager is outstanding. The hotel is nice, clean and very comfortable. I will definitely stay here in the future. 5 star all the way.
- 5/5
Clean room. Great location. Excellent prices. Cool bar area!
- 5/5
All good. Staff and service was great as usual.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. The pool was very nice, and the live music at the bar was great. Would definitely stay again
- 4/5
Price room clean staff always friendly
- 1/5
There was mold above the window in our room on the 4th floor. It was also growing on the curtains. We have stay here many, many times over the years, but this was the last.
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Continental breakfast
- 4/5
Easy check in but thought $14 for parking was a bit much. Also the waitress in the restaurant was not kind. Bartender pours heavy drinks!
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Staff was amazing. So nice. Room was clean with an amazing view
- 2/5
With how much it costs you’d think it comes with breakfast but it’s only complimentary for their members. Lost my gaming laptop charger in the room after I checked out. I called to see if they have it in lost and found. Was told to call back to speak with house keeping because only they know where lost and found is. And when I did call straight to voicemail every time. My stay was weeks ago and still haven’t been able to reach them for my gaming laptop charger.(I didn’t go in person to get my charger because I’m 2 hours away.)
- 5/5
Very pleasant, helpful staff, great accomodations, purrrfect spot, easy airport shuttle. What more does one need. Anytime an overnight for GJT, or easy on/off I-70, it's great.
- 5/5
Amazing experience every time we stay
- 3/5
Nice staff.Great value even with surprise parking fee
- 5/5
Room was GREAT! Clean, spacious and everthing worked as intended. Great staff and service.
- 5/5
Great place
- 4/5
The room was clean! We were on the top floor and there was a roof top water pipe that began slamming loudly about midnight and continued every five minutes until 6 am! Ugg! I didn’t get any sleep! Don’t stay on the 6th floor!
- 5/5
Great staff! Clean rooms! Baileys is great also!
- 5/5
Very clean and great location!
- 3/5
Room was old and tired and freezing. I booked as a last resort the other hotel I booked was sold out.
- 3/5
15 bucks for a buffet breakfast where you only get scrambled eggs and potatoes if you want meat it’s another four dollars. That’s a damn rip off completely not satisfied with that.
- 4/5
everything was good but they charged $14 for parking. So I won't be back.
- 5/5
Great stay as usual. We've have stayed here 3 times already.
- 4/5
I stayed here on a trip to Grand Junction for Christmas. I chose to stay here because it was always nice when I stayed before (20 years ago). It was pretty dated, but overall nice. You do have to pay for parking and they hold a certain amount for incidentals. They do refund that very quickly after you leave. The little gift shop was very nice...a bit pricey...but that is to be exepected. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
Clean room nice bar
- 3/5
You have to pay extra for parking and an additional guest. There are only two of us so seems silly to have to pay for the other person when you’re using one bed.
- 4/5
We did not eat breakfast there, the room was clean. It was noisy from about 6 to 8 in the morning. Don’t know if it was a cleaning crew sounded like there was a party going on in the hallway
- 2/5
I've stayed here many times before over the years, but never again. It started with the hidden, junk "$14 parking fee" and continued with the pathetic one coffee packet per two-bed room and the single, mini packet of shampoo. Pity the poor roommate that wakes up last! The table in my room should have been tossed out years ago. The petty little nickel and diming BS is inexcusable. Buyer beware!
- 5/5
I’ve been in the hospitality business for 40 years location staff cleanliness, definitely make you feel at home .. thank you
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
All good no issues nice place goid food
- 3/5
Although the service was excellent, the beds were rock solid. We've stayed here a few times and I don't remember beds being so uncomfortable.
- 4/5
The room was very clean (although a little outdated) and everything was nicely done. Staff was kind and helpful, also cannot beat the price at all! It’s a steal
- 5/5
Always amazing
- 2/5
I was surprised and disappointed when I was charged for “parking.” Maybe in the big city this is OK but this is Grand Junction, CO. A small city in middle of nowhere. I feel that they are taking advantage of Expedia customers. Shame on Expedia for not warning about the upcharge. Shame on the hotel for taking advantage of their guests.
- 4/5
Good value for a stay in Grand Junction. I was able to park on the street so I didn't have to pay parking fees. Staff helpful and friendly. No issues.
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff. Good value.
- 5/5
Large room, clean, comfortable and enjoyable to be on the 5th floor
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Nice staff , clean room, best deal
- 5/5
Quiet location near the regional airport, with restaurants in walking distance. The restaurant/bar attached, served a great hamburger, with live entertainment. Staff their was also very friendly and welcoming. Overall, a wonderful experience.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Was great like always. But a wire out of the seam in bed cut the heck out of my leg.
- 5/5
Easy fast checking in
- 3/5
Nice hotel, but they charge you $14 to park. I don’t understand why. It’s Grand Junction, not Aspen, Vail, or downtown Denver. There were vagrants milling around the parking lot when I left in the morning. If you’re going to charge for parking in an ordinary town then include it with the hotels.com price instead of posting a deceptively low price.
- 3/5
Meh… You get what you pay for. Overall okay if you are looking for somewhere cheap to stay. I don’t recommend the breakfast as it is overpriced and pretty lousy - just don’t do it. Pool and hot tub are spacious. Rooms are a bit dated but the overall acceptable. Staff is friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Thank you
- 4/5
Price clean
- 5/5
it was all good
- 3/5
They charge for parking, 14.00. Don’t like surprises.
- 5/5
Super friendly staff!
- 5/5
The room was terrific! Very clean and large. Wonderful view.
- 5/5
Ladies at the front were nice and helpful.
- 1/5
Somebody was trying to break in through the door in our room that connects to the other ..front desk was notified and didn’t do anything..
- 4/5
Room was nice and the staff was great
- 3/5
Having to pay for parking was unexpected. Had I known there was a parking fee I may have chose elsewhere. In the future I will take that into account. I misinterpreted the breakfast. I thought I had read breakfast was included but I guess it said available. The staff was very nice and the room was just fine. The pool and hot tub were nice.
- 5/5
Best customer service
- 4/5
Clean room but pillows could be better, kinda hard
- 4/5
Cool retro hotel… and friendly staff.
- 5/5
All of the above!
- 3/5
Rooms definitely need to be updated , staff is very nice
- 1/5
The blankets on both beds were disgusting and dirty. The hot tub was like warm and pool was freezing. Also, the breakfast is $14 per person for up to 2 people, not including any type of meat. We did not partake in breakfast. Also at check in the lady did not know what she was doing and discharges myself and the gentleman that checked in before me.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and quiet. The staff was super friendly and helpful!!
- 5/5
The gentleman at the front deck went far and above making sure we had a great stay. The wonderful lady who runs the breakfast worked very hard keeping foods stocked and fresh as well as constantly wiping surfaces clean. Seeing such a dedicated staff was very refreshing. We'll be back.
- 5/5
No breakfast bar for free coffee
- 2/5
This $14 parking fee is ridiculous. The lot is empty and no security.
- 5/5
The front desk lady was very nice and helpful
- 4/5
I can’t believe they want to charge $14 for parking?!?! We’re not in a downtown metro location- it’s absolutely ridiculous!! Thank God the lady at the counter waived it for us this time! But I won’t be booking that hotel because of that ridiculous fee!
- 3/5
Building SWAYS! Understand each room in five story was prefab concrete and lifted into place ( per local) Rather like sea legs when getting off a boat - we both felt it upon return to room but the movement was gone in morning ( no, we did not have a lot to drink the night before LOL) HOWEVER, overall, a nice hotel, courteous staff and convenient location!
- 5/5
I ordered off the menu and it was spot on! Their chef is excellent!
- 3/5
Feel like there was a "bait and switch" re $14 additional cost for parking that wasn't very apparent on the website. It was acceptably clean, not immaculate. Toilet was VERY low; if any mobility issues wouldn't recommend.
- 3/5
Was ok
- 4/5
Nice big rooms. Great food.
- 5/5
Nice restaurant on site. Clean rooms
- 5/5
Second time staying here will be back again next year
- 3/5
Yes and yes
- 5/5
Great stay
- 3/5
On the downside, we did have some trouble with the outlets in our suite. It was hard to find usable outlets, especially near the bed, and the ones we did find were so loose that cords kept falling out. The same issue happened in the bathroom, making it a bit tricky to charge devices. Also, the pool didn't open until 9 AM, which was a bit of a letdown since we were hoping for an early morning swim before heading out. Overall, the hotel has some great perks for the price, and with a few tweaks, it could be even better.
- 3/5
We had to pay to $14 for overnight parking . Why? We wer barely there 9 hours. We left at 3:30 am to catch our flight and will be paying $ every day we're parking at the airport for 14 days. I felt ripped off.
- 4/5
Clean, basic room which was very close to the airport. They offer shuttle service as well. Paid parking however.
- 1/5
You should also to know is that you may get a musty smelling room, but don't worry, you can get it changed for a room where the musty smell has been covered up. You also you might like to know that you could have hair in your tub at no additional charge like I did; not a little bit but a lot. Don't expect any morning coffee in the lounge. You have to try and make it from the substandard materials in your room. Finally, if you think you might get some computer done in your room, think again, the internet service is terrible.
- 5/5
The front desk help was amazing . Helping me checkin just before midnight
- 1/5
The room 504 smelled like cigarettes The bathroom was never cleaned, bed was not made and there was someone clothing item in the closet. Talked to the front desk and they were so kind to change my room, and gave me a free meal, but I would have to pay for my daughters. The next room they put me in was 525. Smelled like cigarettes, and pets. I should have left but was 12 hours driving and needed rest. The bed was by far the worst bed we have ever slept on, you could feel the springs in the mattress that was hard and old!! Time to upgrade! The sheets had marks/stains. They did give me a free meal ticket after the complaint but I would have to pay for my daughter to eat. I didn’t want to give another dollar to that business. My husband met me there so we had to pay for two vehicles. Just don’t go!! Spend the extra money for a clean room!! Their cleaners do not clean. The carpet is nasty, smells like animals had accidents,. Skip this hotel. The wallpaper is pealing off and bubbled. The rooms look like they were updated in the 90’s and they painted over cracks. The hall is nicer than the rooms..The rooms are dark and old!! It is not worth the money!!
- 2/5
It was cheap, you get what you pay for.😬
- 3/5
Fee for parking at their hotel.
- 5/5
An older hotel with charm. I have stayed here many times and the staff is always wonderful, the prices are affordable, its close to food and shopping, there is a cute bar in the Lobby with live music and karaoke on the weekends.
- 5/5
Always great!
- 2/5
It was okay.
- 2/5
Charged for parking. Not good
- 5/5
Room was spotless and the staff is very efficient and nice. There are always cleaning staff working on the lobby, hallways and rooms. Equally as professional and courteous as the front desk. I have stayed multiple times and am a works traveler. I have never experienced this value for the rate.
- 5/5
Staff is wonderful!
- 3/5
should not suprise guests with an additional 14.00 charge for parking when we not in an area that had ample parking available.
- 5/5
Bed was very comfortable.
- 4/5
It was ok, but nothing extra and they charge $14 to park your vehicle each night of your stay.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff and a very cute hotel.
- 4/5
Easy check in. Comfy bed.
- 4/5
I usually receive a free drink at the bar as part of my hotels.com status. And that did not happen. Other than that I love that hotel.
- 5/5
Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The room was very clean.
- 3/5
Yes, the room was in good condition and the staff was courteous. We were surprised to have to pay for parking.
- 5/5
Late night staff was amazing to check in with. Super friendly and courteous.
- 5/5
Good place to stay
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean rooms. Pool and hot tub are nice. I will stay again.
- 4/5
This is a great option for a weekend stay and we had fun enjoying the hot tub and lounge. Our room was spacious with a good view they need to upgrade the mattresses but otherwise comfortable and clean.
- 1/5
Room was clean and affordable, but hot tub jets have ben disarmed, new parking fee & pet fee is way too high. They used to be our go to hotel while dirt biking in GJ for the weekend, but now with their greed and lazeness to repair the hot tub we will be looking for another alternative
- 2/5
The room wasn’t clean very well.
- 5/5
Everything was really nice and a great deal
- 3/5
I am always disappointed when I realize I didn't check for the parking fee and thought I had a cheaper stay than the other options but I should have chosen the option with free breakfast because it would have ended up being cheaper. It is doubly disappointing when it is extremely difficult to find parking because the lot is so crowded and full and then you find it they are changing you for that inconvenience. However, I was grateful to find very friendly staff, and a very clean room and beds that were just comfortable enough to get a good night's sleep. So I am glad for that. They had very loud music going in the bar but it didn't carry to our room so that was also a relief.
- 1/5
I will never stay nor recommend this hotel to anyone. Not even a bumb on the street . The gutter would be more clean then the rooms were. Floor was water damaged and it smelt like mildew. There was blood spatter on the lamp shade. I was absolutely appoled .
- 1/5
Shuttle was not running for my early flight, hoped parking would’ve been waived at least for my 8 hour stay. A fan in the room made a buzzing all night. Could hear one or multiple neighbors with their tv on/noises. Did not sleep at all.
- 2/5
No free breakfast. No washer/dryer. Pool was close.
- 5/5
Yes, the room was very clean.

The Grand Vista Hotel is a wonderful, accommodating hotel complete with a great restaurant & lounge! Grand Junction is great western town to visit & explore! All this & magnificent wild horses to see on our public lands, living wild & FREE!!!!
- 3/5
Room was in good condition staff were courtous.
- 2/5
I didn’t have the breakfast but the room was dirty and I heard noise all night long. The hallway smelled of pot.
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Clean room. No odors. Comfortable beds.
- 5/5
Yvonne at the check in was very helpful. She also picked us up from the airport when we had to return our car.
- 3/5
You basically get what u paid for...
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
Only downside was the $14 per day parking was not advertised. But the parking is monitored and I did feel safe having my car there overnight.
- 5/5
Great place to stay, front desk was also great!
- 5/5
Great staff, clean room, fitness pass to the gym up the street :) They’re so kind and friendly at the front desk. It was a great stay.

- 4/5
I didnt fly
- 4/5
The staff was very nice and helpful, and the room was decent. Our first night we had some loud neighbors but luckily our second night was quiet.
- 5/5
Everything as expected.

Room was clean, checking in very fast and easy, bed very comfy
- 3/5
Older building with uneven floors, short shower head no adjustment. Noisy water piping. No breakfast.
- 5/5
Vreag room and vicinity...didnt like parking fee ($14)
- 2/5
This is a "NO" on this outdated hotel with bunch of extras fees. They charge $15 for parking. $10 for extra person if more than one. $15 for continental breakfast. A family of 4 ended paying $115 on top of room rate!!
- 5/5
Na
- 2/5
$14/day for uncovered parking. Ridiculous.
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room. Great pool and jacuzzi. Tiny food at hotel restaurant.
- 5/5
Great clean room.
- 5/5
All of the above
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
I was not willing to pay the prices on breakfast… their food was expensive… It might’ve been really good, but I wasn’t willing to find out. I was not impressed by my check in… The girl that checked me and was crabby. When I got done, I told her she could smile. Also, I wasn’t really happy about having to pay $14 for parking. I guess it was in the fine print.
- 4/5
Dated but clean. Bed was comfortable. Surprised I had to pay for parking, breakfast was expense.
- 4/5
Parking is not free, it is an additional fee not included or mentioned in your booking. Breakfast is not free it is an extra charge. It is the Spirit Airlines of hotels, everything is extra.
- 2/5
Charged me $14 for parking 8 hours in hotel lot, while a hotel guest. Requested a wake up call at 5:00am that I didn’t receive. Seems seedy.
- 5/5
large room, nice and quiet. Great front desk staff
- 5/5
一very clean, comfortable and updated. It was the second time stay and saw upgraded.
- 1/5
I have stayed here nearly a dozen times. I had terrible service in the restaurant. Waited 45 plus mins before a server offered a menu and then ordered and waited for over 30 mins for food. No one at the front counter seemed to care. Very disappointed about a hotel I really used to like. Gonna have to seriously think twice about staying again.
- 3/5
Though the price wasn’t bad, the additional price of $14 for parking lessened the deal. Plus, extra cost for breakfast, so I skipped it. Overall, not as good a value as first appeared.
- 4/5
Good
- 2/5
Room could have used a deep cleaning, candy pieces behind the night stand lots of dust the towels were old dingy and stained. Key card only worked intermittently went back to the desk 3 times. location was great! Guests should not have to pay for airport parking business too expensive in addition to the stay!
- 4/5
it was nice we just were there on busines so we did not get to use or see to much .
- 4/5
The staff and the room were great. As many have says, the bed was very comfortable.
- 4/5
Waitress in restaurant was lovely.
- 5/5
Staff was excellent and the personalized note with free beverages was awesome.
- 2/5
Second, this room stinks!! Smells like musty garbage! Third, no mention of $14 per vehicle parking! Fourth, no continental breakfast! Not a good experience!!
- 5/5
all of the above
- 5/5
This hotel was wonderful with the grand vista views found in the name. It had a pool and onsite restaurant with a lounge singer even which was lovely. The management and staff were very accommodating and friendly, and the free shuttle as needed between both the train station and airport was great.
- 4/5
It’s a alright hotel
- 3/5
The room was older but clean overall. The carpet was very worn and stained on our floor. We had to pay $14 a day for parking so be mindful it is not included and neither is breakfast. The cleaning staff tried to enter the room on the first morning we were there but luckily the latch was on. The next morning we were awakened to an alarm going off, must have been a test or low battery warning but was unpleasant nonetheless at 6:50 AM. We tried to go have a drink the second night and bartender was not pleasant. Informed us it was closing and we could have 1 drink. Paid $25 for 2 shots of mid grade tequila so perhaps it's best it was closing. Overall experience was fair at best, would not stay again.
- 3/5
The staff seemed to see helping us get checked in as a burden.
- 4/5
Stay were friendly. Room felt clean.
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
One needs to pay for nightly parking! ( really! In Grand Junction!)
- 5/5
Great staff
- 4/5
Yes, she's a bit tired this place, with a confused interior design, but otherwise excellent facility. Restaurant is ok and rare for a hotel like this to have a proper bar with entertainment laid on. Great value.
- 4/5
Clean pretty loud
- 4/5
Clean, comfortable, charming lobby, friendly staff
- 1/5
I would not recommend staying here The staff was completely unhelpful and rude.
- 4/5
This hotel is good for the price. Be prepared, there are no outlets for a cpap by your bed or your phone. The beds were comfy and we love a bathtub. The hotel can get you an extension cord for a cpap but it goes across the room so you have to be sure not to trip on it when you get up at night. It seems they could at least figure out some way to have a power strip by the beds.
- 2/5
Did not need shuttle service. Brought our own vehicle and facility charged us an additional $14.00 parking fee. Absolutely unacceptable!
- 5/5
It was a great location and very good value for our 1 night stay.
- 5/5
the grand vista is always our go to hotel on the way over the rockies! great place, comfortable & nice restaurant bar with live music! and at a fantastic price, thank you!
- 4/5
We arrived check in was easy girls at the front desk were kind and helpful beds bathroom tv microwave and fridge basically all you need
- 5/5
A very nice property, the hotel staff were great! The room was comfortable and the bathroom had been updated. The airport shuttle was handy to have! I didn't have breakfast there, but did order some food in the bar and it was quite good.
- 5/5
the junior studio suite was so comfortable, the bed was like actually so comfy
- 3/5
Room was very outdated but clean. Beds are broken down and uncomfortable. However, the pool area was nice and Baileys lounge has good food and plenty of entertainment. The $14 a day "parking fee" is absolutely absurd. What a tacky way to show your paying customers that you appreciate them keeping your business going. I wouldn't stay here again just based on having to pay for parking for a place you've already paid to stay.
- 3/5
Beware of the $14 a night parking fee and the full parking lot. Evidently people use it for super parking?
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
Breakfast was to expensive with there being 5 of us (3were kids)
- 2/5
2. There was a strong, unpleasant aroma in the elevator and hallway to my room. 3. The restaurant prices were expensive, as if this is a 4-star hotel. It most certainly is not. I ate out for dinner and breakfast. This combined to create a poor, regretful experience. I won’t be back.
- 4/5
All great except for the surprise $14 parking charge!!!!!!!!! BEWARE !!!
- 2/5
Staff were sweet, but the bedroom had no windows to open, so no fresh air, which really matters when the hotel room hasn’t been redecorated since the 70s, dust everywhere and just the worst smell, didn’t sleep at all. Also, the steak in the restaurant I asked for a medium rare and it was so overcooked. It was like eating a sneaker.
- 4/5
Airport shuttle was very convenient.
- 4/5
Got a perfect room, top floor great view staying an extra day !! Thank you
- 1/5
The staff "Jess" was rude and argumentative. Her mistake was arrogant and unapologetic. Iwas offered nothing for my trouble, not even an apology. Don't waste your time with this place!
- 5/5
One minor point, the 100 rooms have 6 steps up from the lobby, not elevator accessible or wheel cart available. All of our belongings had to be hand carried in. The Taco Tuesday and live entertainment was unexpectedly great! Thank you all.
- 5/5
Great staff, clean rooms. Airport shuttle was a plus!
- 5/5
Older furniture but clean and nice 👍
- 2/5
We stayed one night, passing through. We had two connecting rooms. Honestly, it was gross. You get what you pay for. Do not recommend.
- 5/5
The staff is great. Prices for extras are high.
- 4/5
Property was dated, staff was awesome and karaoke was a blast!
- 4/5
Always enjoyable. Only downside is having to pay for parking.
- 3/5
Had to wait abour 15minutes from calling. Was told driver assisting customer at property. My particular reservation did not include breakfast.
- 3/5
$14/day for parking in a lot without cameras and limited spots after 8pm. Shoddy room furniture. Bathroom floor was spot cleaned- found someone's sock under the sink. 1st floor hallway ceiling was in bad shape and the floor was warped and uneven. Front desk verged on surly.
- 1/5
We were staying to visit family while in Colorado from the Midwest. On the way to New Mexico and the first room we were assigned had some kind of animal poop in it. The second room a metal piece was sticking out of a chair that was cushioned. My husband ended up removing it the next evening because there was a “miscommunication” between the front desk and us..And then the pool was shutdown for the first 24 hours. At first not a lot was done but then contacted hotels.com and complained enough we did get a discount. Hidden fees, parking per night $14, no complimentary breakfast, and the restaurant for breakfast and dinner very overpriced. Had to find surrounding restaurants for reasonable prices. Also you get charged for an extra guest of $30, the rate you’re given is for one person. The maintenance guy was great, he’s a very hard worker and seems busy a lot. But he made our stay a little more pleasant.
- 2/5
TV was small, beds were hard, shower were built assuming you are 4 ft tall. Room furniture was nothing special. Chair was hard and very uncomfortable. They did have live band and karaoke but was never there for that just needed the room which was one of the worst i have stayed in awhile.
- 4/5
Property was quiet. Staff friendly and helpful room comfortable. Hit a snag when the first room I was assigned was dirty. Beds unmade a drink on the table and smelled like someone had just showered . They quickly corrected the issue.
- 4/5
Didn’t expect to pay $14 for parking. Besides that, everything was fantastic
- 5/5
Lots of room in our king suite!
- 5/5
Kara and front desk staff were exceptionally helpful and kind. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
- 5/5
I was here for a festival that Colorado Mesa University's Wrestling team was putting on so I wanted to rent a hotel that looked decent in the photos...
- 4/5
Love staying here except having to pay extra to park.
- 2/5
It was very noisy and the door were loud when shutting.
- 5/5
Parking is a bit tight and you need to let everyone know that you change for parking upfront
- 4/5
Stay was good but after I booked the room and it showed the total price,,,,i was suprised at the desk with a $14 parking fee! $14,,,, in a hotel in Grand Junction, CO! Give me a break! Vegas still has free parking! LAX last i saw wasnt that pricy!!!
- 3/5
Good thing was close to airport.Didn’t like - no welcoming staff and 20% gratuity for room service like ordering food, daily parking charges and no free breakfast. Cheaper stay available with free breakfast close to the same hotel.
- 4/5
Good deal even with the hidden fees.
- 5/5
Everything was great except for the $100 damage and incidental fee at check in along with a $14.00 parking fee…ridiculous
- 4/5
Room was clean and bed was comfy. Beware of extra charges! I was charged an extra $14 for one day of parking. There was a long list at check-in of extras.
- 2/5
Mandatory hidden parking fee of $14 to $25, impossible to use internet, no dining, no breakfast included.
- 4/5
Person who was checking us in wasn't friendly
- 5/5
Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel very clean
- 4/5
Easy access just off the interstate. Friendly staff! Little dated, but worth the price.
- 4/5
Clean room and friendly staff
- 3/5
I like the overall value of this property and the room was satisfactory. The in house restaurant is also a plus. The check in was very slow and long and the front desk woman started off a little rude but got better,.
- 1/5
.
- 5/5
The staff was excellent
- 2/5
The property is in need of repairs, cleaning, and some investment into some hotel management that is interested in making that place sparkle and shine, like it seemingly once did. Water sprayed from sink and shower fixtures like holes in a garden hose…. Everywhere. I question how up to local fire and building code it is. It felt there are staff trying hard to manage an underinvested property that is being squeezed bone dry. Listen - it was functional for the price paid.. I think charging guests for parking to stay inside a place with leaky faucets… floors in your lobby that look as though they haven’t seen a scrapper to remove sticky stuff now walked over for months…. Sticky substances, boogers, snot rockets, chewed and spit out gum throughout…. Just dirty
- 5/5
Wonderful will return
- 5/5
The stay was good, we couldn’t get through to the restaurant downstairs for room service so we ordered outside the hotel, the outlets should be checked in the bathroom. Plugs kept falling out, not allowing for a phone charger to be plugged in. The room was nice and clean, hotel itself was quiet.
- 4/5
Property was clean and the bar/restaurant was nice. Our only negative was that the people next to us were extremely loud, to the point we could hear the whole conversation and they were very considerate when opening/closing the door
- 5/5
Great stay fair prices
- 5/5
Clean room friendly. Breakfast nice. Surprised maid had tip envelope.
- 3/5
It was fine, priced right
- 4/5
The room wasn’t ready and we were 3 hours later than check in time, the hot tub wasn’t working. We were only there for a short stay so it worked out fine. We probably will try to stay where there is included breakfast and no parking fee next time
- 3/5
Staff were great. General cleanness was okay at best.
- 2/5
Added $14 charge for overnight parking. Room was ok, bed comfortable. Everything was filthy. Walls where light switches were are gross, hairdryer was covered in grime and dirt. One little bar of soap and one small hair/body soap. Shower head at height for 4" person. Carpets dirty. Gal at check in was rather brazen. Said we'd have an extra $100 incidentals charge and would see a credit in 2-3 days. Will not recommend.
- 5/5
Staff is so nice and it’s a cute little place, clean and comfortable, not fancy but nice~ larger pool and very nice temperature on the hot tub, very comfortable
- 1/5
Mold in the bathroom. "Hot tub" is exactly that, a tub that is hot! NO JETS!!! Was told its been that way for years. Will not stay there again. An old building that needs updating, not just "prettied up".
- 4/5
Excellent location near airport, fast and good restaurant on premises, room comfortable but a little dated.
- 5/5
Plane arrived late but services were ready. Great hotel everyone pleasant and helpful
- 4/5
A very well kept hotel. Great price point. If you have a vehicle, they charge extra for parking. No free lobby coffee.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean rooms
- 4/5
Cute place. Nice staff
- 4/5
I felt the $14 parking fee was hidden and should have been divulged at booking as clearly as the $100 deposit.
