Motel 6 Grand Junction, CO

Room was dirty, floors, vents, just a mess! There was a bottle under one bed and dog food under the other one. The vents hadn’t been cleaned in years and the pool was unusable!! Staff was absent and no toiletries provided except a bar of soap. You may as well stay at a bus station and share a space with total strangers! Cannot recommend staying here- needs a lot of general maintenance and this is not what we expected at all! With the weather so hot a pool would have been a nice amenity to use but no cleaning of any kind had been done to make that remotely possible!! Room was supposed to have air conditioning but instead we had to utilize a swamp cooler! The parking lot was a nightmare, full of potholes, and you’re taking your chances using it! Very disappointing! The staff was unhelpful and didn’t even want to come to the desk and get us checked in! Motel 6 should be ashamed to have this place on their list of businesses!! Horrible experience overall! Will NEVER stay here again!!

Pretty rough even for that price. Flooring peeling up, ants, broken tv. One day no hot water. The manager is doing her best but it needs alot.

My room's door was open as I walked up to it and there were stains on the sheets. One of the sketchiest hotels I've ever stayed in.

Some rooms had air conditioning and some did not. Even with the air conditioning on the rooms were still hot, they didn't change my sheets when they switched me rooms it had dog hair from the last person there. I will not be staying there anymore especially with my kids

Once we got to our room, I realized she hadn’t shown the WiFi password on our key envelope. We looked through the room and couldn’t find it, so I called the office on my cellphone since the room phone wouldn’t connect me. The same young lady rudely said the password was the same as the WiFi name, insinuating I was stupid for asking. Needless to say I didn’t bother her with any other questions. I would not recommend anyone stay at this Motel 6.

Everything, the check in was terrible, I paid twice, the girl was not nice. The bed was hard to sleep on the cooler kept us cold at night, overall the room is run down, got up to get ready ants were making themselves welcome in the room through brakes. Absolutely a horrible stay.

This was the worst stay of our two-week trip. I made my reservation via Expedia for 2 adults and 3 kids and paid ahead of time. Upon arrival, we were refused a room because they said they did not allow more than 4 people in a room. However, they did finally let us stay due to having no other option and being unable to get a refund.

The rooms were very clean, the bed was comfortable and it was pleasantly quiet. We would have given it a 5, but the hot water in the sink did not work. And the only way to get hot water was to get it out of the tub faucet. And the toilet barely flushed. Other than that, it was a great stay for the money.

Sheets and towels were stained. Could see stains on box spring as well. Water coming out of sink smelled bad. Air conditioning unit had crumbs of some kind blowing out of it when turned on. All I needed was a clean room for one night. Very disappointed and grossed out.

Found a dead cockroach in room. Door didn't close all the way and had to put a chair in front of it during the night. Very loud and noisy first night and people were smoking outside of room therefore cigarette smoke came in room.

Not clean. Hair from previous guests all over the bathroom. Shower had no hot water (this was fixed once I contacted the front desk from my cell phone because the room phone was broken). Overall, it was rundown and I feel like I overpaid even though it was the least expensive option available.

This is one of the worst motel 6 locations I've experienced. The room was in extremely rough shape. The door had gaps all around it. The bathroom door didnt even shut all the way. The sink was nasty and rotted out. They had a portable a/c unit squeezed next to one of the beds so it could be vented out the window. However, there wasn't space for it so they shoved the beds together leaving no room to walk between them. The a/c wasn't movable so it just blew towards the poorly sealed door, not even cooling the room.The window was falling out of the track and was barely held up by 2 wobbly screws. Not at all secure as I was able to open the window from the outside. The staff were were awesome but that was the only positive. I definitely won't be staying at this location again.

It's a low cost motel, a decent place to spend the night for not a lot of money. It met my expectations. The rooms were clean. For the price, it was a good value.

the heater was broken had space heater that barely worked. the floor in bathroom has water damage and is pealing floor surface. the bed was comfortable though. i would not stay there again .

The room was clean, but clearly there is a flaw in the shower set up. The fiberboard floor tiles have been wet so ofeten that they are peeling and bumpy. The room was clean. A little cramped with 2 double beds. The room was built fir a queen or king bed. All in all, not bad for $75/night.

STAY AWAY! Terrible place, falling apart. When told that the room didn't have A/C I should have stopped the check in process. But I was assured it "wasn't that bad", then immediately exiting the room upon entering and feeling the heat, going to the front desk, and asking for a refund, only to be told days later that I would not be receiving one after having only been in the room 15 seconds, I wish I could leave zero stars. Expedia tried their best to get my refund but the hotel staff are crooks.

It is not one of the better motel 6’s - really ran down & dirty property & room. Shower dribbled, refrigerator leaking, the floors tore up, weird stand up air conditioner crammed next to bed. Cheap cold coffee bar! Nice morning staff but not so nice evening staff. They could do better!

Air conditioning did not work for entire property. No discount given even when inquired about. Window in room did not lock. Bathroom was disgusting, floor was literally falling apart. No shampoo or conditioner, only bar soap. Beds were the most uncomfortable beds we have ever had in any hotel. Pool was not open but listed as available when booking.

Also, when I came back from a store run, there were 5 police cars blocking the parking in front of my room. They were going through a person's car and it took a couple of hours. Some other people were on the sidewalk near my room and being very loud, but not cussing or abusive to the police, thankfully.

All I’mma say is you guys gotta do better? The way I remember Motel 6 is we will leave the light on for you…… but now I’ll never go back to another motel six because this one was horrible you guys suck

The front desk staff, Brooklyn, couldn’t have had a worse attitude. I told her my name for the reservation, and before she even pulled it up she was telling me I had to book two rooms (which I had, had she checked my reservation) because of the 3 adults and 2 children in our party. I cancelled my reservation because of her attitude, and her failure to provide a policy regarding needing everyone’s ID/DL before completing checkin. The lobby was gross, and I’m not convinced those floors had ever been mopped. I think Brooklyn’s attitude was a blessing in disguise bc who knows how gross the rooms were. We stayed at the Ramada down the street and they were fantastic! Won’t be booking with Motel 6 again. What a nightmare.

Typical motel 6. Good bang for the buck.

Property was not clean. Sheets and towels were stained. Floor had dried splattered paint and construction debris. Shower was old and in disrepair. No grab bars. Smoke detector was hanging open without batteries. Shower curtain was missing hooks and just hanging halfway off the track. The wall behind the toilet and in front of the shower showed water damage. The sink was dirty and needs replaced. The thermostat and light switches were grimy.

We didn't even make it to our room. Very sketchy! Numerous people open their shade to watch us unpack truck. Did not feel comfortable leaving our vehicle in the lot. Travel frequently and never felt that way. Ate the room fee and went down the road.

Good enough for the price. Definitely do not risk using the laundry facilities here, if there's any issue with it, they do not own it and just say sorry just leave a review. Heres the review, get whoever runs those faulty machines to work consistently or find another contractor.

There was trash, including a half-filled beer can under a bed. The towels were dingy gray. Lots of activity throughout the night. Bathroom floor was coming up in a very poor condition. I didn't feel particularly safe there.

I almost froze, the heater doesn't work, the cold water in the morning, a spider appeared on my towel.

When we opened the door it immediately smelled like cigarettes. The bathroom felt like we needed shower shoes to take a shower so we just didn’t take one. It was so hot in the room that it felt like Arizona in the middle of summer. Even turning the heater completely off didn’t fix that. There were no blinds, just a shade that we had to completely close or else anyone passing by could see into the room, so we couldn’t keep an eye on our cars. Last but not least sleeping on carpet would’ve felt better than the bed. It was so incredibly hard. The staff was very nice but the whole ambiance was that of a place you would get murdered in. The only reason we chose to stay was because there was no fee for our dog. I would’ve happily spent $60 more to stay across the street and feel safe if I knew it was going to be like that.

Yes I stayed five days did not want the room cleaned until the second day before I was going to leave. That morning I asked for room be cleaned at 530am on the way out to wk. I came back at 4pm room still a mess I am hearing impaired and older as well as not very technology savvy. Push the wrong button on the TV as well so therefore I had no TV and a dirty room and get told I could not come back .because I demanded room to be cleaned. I was tired after wk all day just wanted to come and rest a watch TV in clean room. Almost 5 and room still dirty. I used this site the six checked me in even though I could stay. Told me to deal with you guys . In turned which tied money up I didn't have . Thanks be to God I had over draft protection. Which I was able to use to achieve a better room at The Ramada inn. As see it motel 6 need to be examed for the integrity. We're supposed to be the one with the light always on for you what is wrong with this world it's not there

The air conditioning did not work there was blood in the bathroom. I had to go and change rooms twice The second room was no better. I didn't even get pillows

First of all, there is no bathtub. There is a gymnasium shower. Second, there’s no heat. there was also no refrigerator. no extra blanket.

We did not stay at the hotel. Upon arrival, the parking lot was completely dark due to the Motel 6 signage being out (and with no other adjacent lighting, the area was unusually dark). The woman at front desk was rude demanding IDs for both my husband and myself. When I tried to explain that the reservation was in my name, booked and already paid for via hotels.com, she simply repeating herself demanding to know our ages and asking for ID. As someone who frequently travels, and who is well above the age of 18, this is not standard practice. The motel looked sketchy at best. We immediately canceled and stayed down the street at the Comfort Inn where the customer service (including a bag of doggie treats for our dog, free breakfast, etc.) was exceptional. Highly recommend against a stay at this particular Motel 6.

The flooring was torn up by the toilet, the shower was disgusting, bedding was dirty and the towels were also dirty. The window was open when we arrived, no screen, when I closed the window the original lock was smashed, the diy lock worked but the window could still be opened. The door was warped, and wouldn't close at the top plus it looked like it may have had a bullet hole on it. Additionally there were people smoking outside and the smoke was coming in the room. It was exceptionally loud and we only stayed an hour before deciding it was not a safe place to stay. Frankly, I want a full refund. I wish I could give this negative stars.

Got room because heat went out at house. Only heat source in hotel room was a floor space heater that made a loud high pitched squeal when turned on, driving dog crazy and giving us headaches. Desk clerk should be reported for animal abuse. As he had 2 dogs in his car in the freezing cold, just periodically checking on them. At 1 point thought 1 of his dogs was going to jump out car window and attack my dog as he was acting very aggressive. Left within 20-30 minutes.

Parking was easy. I didn’t need A/C, but the room was a comfortable temperature. The bed was clean and comfortable.

Check in was quick and easy, but I think thr front desk staff doesn't lole bothered since there was a handwritten sign on the door claiming no rooms were available, but the parking lot wasn't that full. My room was clean, but distressed. It's kind of a funny layout with the wall lamp in the middle of the wall but the bed is set up in the corner. Bed was too firm for good comfort, but I was able to drift in and out of sleep. I got a room at the back, and the property is next to a field, so there was very little light and sound and the other guests were quiet, so all in all a good stay.

One of the worst stays ever. No shampoo was available in the room or front desk; couldn't wash my hair. To make matters worse, there's no seat cover on the toilet to sit down after showering. Tv remote didn't work; had to turn on manually. Only 1 station available. Next to the airport with noise late night and early morning from the planes. Not sure what was going on in Grand Junction this weekend, and why other hotels were so high. First and last time I'll stay at any Motel 6.

Hey, its Motel 6. The property is what it is. The staff was great! Im glad they're there.

This is just an overnight stay. I booked Motel 6 since it's the cheapest. The motel is near the airport; plane noise. The tv remote didn't work; they brought me another remote. TV still didn't come on; had to turn on the button underneath the tv. Also no shampoo in the bathroom; front desk brought some.

Hotel needs upgrades. AC not working, rooms were sub par.

The lady at the front was rude. Then after we had already booked online they had us sign the we agree to stay without central air. Ok no worries there it was not hot. Where do I begin. The tiny shower had a horrible gross curtain that didn’t fit and was not clean at all!! The sink nozzle sprayed everywhere when I turned it on. The air conditioning unit in the ceiling looked like it was going to fall on the floor. Wall mounts were hanging out. Just bad.

Hotel is showing its age. Rooms are clean but old. Bottom floor only have portable air conditioners. On multiday stays there is no room cleaning service. Hotel can be loud at night.

Entire property is dated. Counter guy was a little disheveled, wiping crumbs off his shirt when we arrived. I just chuckled. Bathroom sink spurted water in all directions. Knob on sink was straight out of 1990. Bed was a little springy, however I did sleep well. The room was very clean. For about a 9 hour stay. It was good and I would do it again.

Property had no AC, wanted me to sign a no-refund waiver for no AC in the room. Canceled reservation but card was charged a few days later despite a printed cancelation letter showing no charge.

Deplorable motel 6 even at there standards.

The main air conditioning was not working, no big deal as they had a portable unit. The circuit was tripped and it wasn’t working, finally the power came back on. The floor in the shower was peeling up. The hotel was pretty rundown overall. Not going to be staying there again.

The poor guys next door were laying on their beds w/the windows & drapes open just to get some air flow. Don't know how they did it, no way I could'a suficiently relaxed enough to sleep w/wide open windows bare to every passer by. My room had a portable A/C exhausted through the window so it couldn't be locked (felt very vulnerable). Anyway Caveat emptor.

Booked a 3 rooms and when we arrived the rooms were unavailable. Expedia has been awful at refunding my money. Do not use Expedia and do not book at this hotel.

The AC unit is lower than the bed so it does not cool down the room. It was 100 degrees outside and it didn't feel much cooler inside. The towels are really tiny.

Ok I booked on Expedia , usually like renting here due to no deposit . Upon arriving at 2:00pm I was told the room wasn't clean yet , ok well I was a bit early however , I returned several times approx. every hour to check. I was not given a room until , after 5pm . Then I was told it was no air conditioning. Which by all accounts was advertised. The lady at the desk is totally dishonest. She still said sorry. Might be my final stay.

This place was terrible. When I got there to check in they told me there were no rooms left with air conditioning. I asked to cancel. They said I couldn’t because it was booked through hotels.com. It was 92 degrees in the room. Went to open the window and there was no screen on window so we had to close it. Ground level room with no screen, the drunks in the parking lot could have climbed right in the window. The beds were rock hard. Will never go back. Do not recommend.

There were crumbs on the bed when we got there. The wall was visibly patched and not painted yet. The tv reception was bad tried watching movies but it kept cutting out. No lock on bathroom door. No AC. Chose to drive around town and waste gas so we could use the ac in our car.

We had to stay at this hotel because most everything else in town was sold out. It was August, very hot, and we were told the air conditioning was out in the room. We tried to open the window but there was no screen so we felt unsafe sleeping. It was so hot that we couldn’t sleep and felt sick. Staff was nice, but there wasn’t much they could do to help. Unfortunately the worst hotel experience ever.

Well you get what you pay for. Didn't spend much so didn't get much. No coffee pot, no fridge, no safe, which was expected. The a/c situation was bad. Some rooms had a/c some not & mine, a portable unit needing to be exhausted through a hose that was fitted through a window insert (the insert was wedged between the window frame and window meaning there was no way to lock the room as the window couldn't be locked with it slightly open to accomodate the a/c exhaust insert. Certainly this was not as bad as others whom were viewed asleep clothed on their bed, drapes and window open due to there being no a/c in the room. Quite a shock seeing that as I walked out of my room toward the stairs. I moved furniture to better accomodate air flow out of the portable a/c finding and in doing so found a large stain where something spilled and dried on the floor. And on night #1, I was sitting outside my room because it hadn't cooled sufficiently only to be acosted by another "guest" who was sketchy at best and just gave off an extreamly creepy vibe appearing to be one ready to do harm via some nafarious act. I went into my room but the whole encounter left me uneasy with especially since the room could not be secured. I didn't expect the ritz but again you get what you pay for and I didn't pay much.

This is a nice hotel for the value. Room was clean and basic but for the price this place is great. The front desk and housekeeping staff are all very friendly and accommodating. Lots of places for your pets and the best is pets stay free:) definitely will be staying again and I recommend to anyone looking for a cheap stay this is it for the grand junction area.

We arrived at the hotel, and the girl at the reception was disrespectful. She clearly informed us that there was no air conditioning in our room due to renovations. We’ve stayed at this hotel a couple of times before, but it hasn’t improved; the room was still dirty. Last time, about a month ago, we faced the same issue with no air conditioning until we complained, and only then did they manage to provide us with a solution. How can you publish online that you have air conditioning during the summer when there is none? Please double check this hotel removed this from ur list a crap hotel in Colorado junction no hospitality we walk out and did not check in as no aircon

“Motel 6, We’ll leave the light on for you,(and the heat)” When I was there the AC was broken for the entire property. They apologized but I didn’t expect the room to be as hot as it was. The fan was running but it was blowing hot air which made it worse. I got in around 11pm and there was outside noise of kids running around and loud neighbors till about 12:30-1am. I left the property in the middle of the night and slept in my car as it was cooler outside. Not thrilled with this property.

It was acceptable and what would be expected for budget lodging but it fell short in some areas like no toilet lid and the shower was really small.

AC and power kept going out. There was also a hole in the bathroom door and the whole room smelt pretty bad. We ended up leaving and getting a different hotel.

In for the night, but had time to dip in the pool, have dinner at a nearby place and a quiet sleep.

This hotel is suitable for my purpose and was comfortable and clean.

Plug in heater and air conditioner. AC venter out window was unsecured so room was noisy and unsafe. Took photos of the conditions it was so poor.

Sorry no the property did not offer room service and when I booked it through trivago is not told there was no microwave no refrigerator no coffee pot and the first day that me and my granddaughter got there I made a complaint because the air conditioning wasn't working and it was like 90° in there just as hot as it was outside I made a complaint to the front desk and let him know waited three days and nothing happened finally got irritated enough that I told him me and my granddaughter leaving because I was upset that nobody was fixing that air conditioning and we would die in the room they are reimbursing me for the last two days but I feel like I should get a little bit of reimbursement for the three days that we were suffering too and of course I told you guys that they were going to lie about the whole situation and they sure did but I have plenty of witnesses that know that room did not have an air conditioning and stuff in it so I'm going to take other measures to take care of getting some of my money back and I will not recommend hotel motel 6 in Grand Junction to anybody they are rude the one house and she even said our air conditioning wasn't working so whoever you talk too till 6:00 was a liar I did tell the front desk girl that we had a bad air conditioning the first day second day the housekeeper even said the air conditioning wasn't working third day I went down and told him we were leaving and they said I didn't tell him we were leaving and I did so not happy w

Small rooms that don’t look as good as pictures showed. Definitely needs updating.

Good value motel and the front desk girl was very friendly. Only complaint was the AC in our room was very weak. Luckily we had brought a fan for our dogs. Definitely miserable in 98 degree weather.

We got no room they overbooked

The internet was worse than terrible, so slow, very hard to make connection, no refrigerators, no microwaves, the bathroom door in our room did not close because it was coming apart. The flooring around the toilet looked like it could collapse because the wood looked rotten. Normally a room has Kleenex, but not this room. in today's world a continental breakfast comes with the room, not here, you are lucky to get a cup of coffee, but what if you don't drink coffee??? In Grand Junction there are two Motel 6's I wish I had reserved in the other one. Our stay was not a pleasant on at this Motel, I would not rate or recommend this motel to anyone. I am very sorry I stayed here. The clerk that checked us in was very nice, its sad he is working at this site.

i walked into a room that still had garbage from the previous customers in it and woke up with a used tissue inder my pillow ( not mine). the tv remote did not work and the sink barely dribbled water. the toilet has no lid and sounds like a rocketship when flushed. this room was so inexcusably terrible that i left a day early. told no possibility of a refund.

Cheap cheap hotel. Pool was great! Warm and outside. Bedrooms lacked shampoo. One room the door didn't even close all the way. Lots of people leave their rooms doors open and you see things you wish your kids wouldn't see. Not a safe place.

It is just okay

The girl at the front desk tried to accommodate me because I had a truck.And she was hot.But the bed was worn so badly it was like a troth.

This motel definitely could use a little update/refresh. It was not in the best condition and was also quite dirty. There was a concerning gap between the door of my room and the door frame, making me feel like the room could easily be broken into. All staff I interacted with were lovely and helpful, but the establishment itself was very disappointing.

We did not get in until 9:30pm. Called earlier to make sure they saved a ground floor room as both my wife and I are handicapped. The only rooms available when we arrived were on the second floor. We had a very difficult time getting to our room.

The property is really beat down and I'm not sure that there's much they can do about it. The floors run Even in our room and particularly the flooring around the toilet was worn away and the toilet was rocking.

The Young man at the desk was excellent. The facility was worn out and in poor repair

I sound animal hair and other peoples hair on my bed and on the floor. I also found a mouse poop poop in my bed. The shower floor and bathroom floor were rotting out.

You get what you pay for. Beds hard. No fridge, no mirco. Super small. It is what it is.

Bed and pillow case are not comfortable very floppy pillow need upgrade hard bed. The toilet bowl for 3 days when u flush lot of black particle coming out. No service at all house keeping didn't come for 3 days. We paid for microwave and fridge has no freezer layer, microwave not working so we ask to change. Its just good to sleep room 132 were we sleep

We tried 3 different rooms and none had AC when its 90 degrees outside and even warmer in the room. We were told they didnt have any more available rooms left. Poorly managed facility getting more run down. I expect it to be out of business soon like others nearby. Do not recommend unless you value price over security and comfort.

Well first the receptionist didn't get our rooms next to each other. One of the room he checked us into was dirty, but said would be cleaned by 4pm.. we didn't come back to our hotel until 9 and it still was not clean so the other receptionist had to clean it, which she did a great job for doing it in the dark since all the power on that side of GJ was out. The price was good for sleeping, but the rooms themselves are very run down.

The neighbors had a barking dog that was annoying

the room was dirty the toilet was not clean, someone had used it and the rim of it was pee stained . the sink had been painted and the paint was coming off. the shower floor was painted and coming off. there was an electrical box that looked like it had been a wired smoke detector that had been removed and bare wires were in the box with no cover. your heating and cooling system leaves a lot to be desired. the half-ass shower curtain only had four hooks to hold it up. And your floors need a lot of attention.and there had been something spilled and it was sticky. and then the lights went out for about 1.5 hours. all in all this place needs some serious cleaning up and trained employees. I would not ever stay here again UNLESS YOU CLEAN UP THE PLACE UP GRADE YOUR ROOMS AND TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES TO BE COURTEOUS KNOWLEDGEABLE AND DRESSED LIKE THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL. This is the first time I ever had to pay in full for my stay up front. $80.00 per night is was way too much for what i got. Don't expect me to refer anyone to stay here.

Our room wasn’t ready for over two hours and I had a meeting to attend to. The mattresses are horrible. The staff informed us that they ordered new mattresses, but they haven’t come in yet. The electricity went out for two hours. No staff was on duty.

Worst stay ever

Horrible mattresses and loud people talking outside our room. The toilet could barely flush. What happened to Motel 6? They used to be of great value. Not anymore.

The epitome of no frills. Buckled floors, smoky smell and cigarette burns on the bathroom counters (even in non-smoking room). No shampoo, no tissues, no coffee (I know, not necessary but nice). I travel a lot and must admit that this was the absolute worst bed I have ever attempted to sleep on! It was like a brick. No give whatsoever! Absolutely miserable. There was a huge crack in the window as we walked up to the room. I saw the reviews online but this was about the only place left in town. Had I but known, I would have driven the hour home instead of staying here!

Although asking if the rooms are all non-smoking and being told yes, the room definitely smells smoky even after airing it out until the sun went down.

It advertise that it had air conditioning but only some of the rooms had air conditioning. They gave me a fan which was the best they could do and I still have trouble sleeping. Will not stay here again.

It was quiet and peaceful.
