We had roaches all over the room the staff was nice and friendly we got there so late because of softball we didn’t use the pool the bathtub was had chips missing, but the room was very clean

It is a quite spot and its an old building but clean Staff was very kind and polite.

It is an older property but fairly well maintained. The room was well kept and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The pool was very clean but could use some new furniture, and the water was refreshing on a hot afternoon. There are plenty of dining options in the area. Access to the property is a bit tricky, especially with heavy traffic in the area. The best part about this property was the price, which was by far the lowest in the area. The staff was polite and helpful and the coffee in the lobby was fresh and readily available. We will stay here again.

It was a good deal for what we needed (one short overnight close to our daughter’s anp ). An older property is understandable, but I’m not sure whether I’ll choose this place again. Cleanliness and a well-stocked room are more important to me than a fancy look. Maybe they just gave us a room that wasn’t really ready.

mold on grout in tub/shower area. toilet not cleaned very well and hair on floor in sink area where previous guest had shaved... Internet never worked in our room. More attention to detail would serve the owners well. Wouldn't take much other than a bit more effort. fencing around pool area needs to have a wire brush to it and repainted for a fresh look. pool was good and nice it was available for late October. I don't normally leave a poor review.

For the price Budgetel was great. There was one light bulb out and one plug didn't work. Caulking in the bathroom was a little sloppy and the duck tape on the floor between the carpet and tile instead of a proper metal strip was a little tacky. The fixtures in the bathroom were in need of replacing but still worked. I'm Overall I would stay there again and this was in fact the second time.

It had roaches and bed bugs. Smelled of mold and mildew when you open the door. The key card did not work after the second use. And the people qhere rude at the front. Honestly id rather sleep in my car. Not worth it even for the price.

The room ned to be update , fridge wasn' t working, no ice machine on the property, no ice bucket, coffee pot inthe room, Price a little to high for condition of the room and property.

Upon arrival, the room was already paid by credit card. It was done online. I paid then with my debit card. I was in room 203. I opened the door and the mirror that was where the sink was, was so streaked and appeared dirty. I then needed to use the toilet. There was poop on the seat and urine under the seat. The floor in the bathroom had debris on it. The bathtub had dirt and bugs in it. There was something clumpy white on the tile wall. I never used the tub. The carpet in the room had food and debris on it. There was no pad covering the mattress and no pillow covers. Only pillow cases. There was no bar soap. I had to go to the office to get soap. There was a big bug crawling on the floor. I killed it and left it there. Nasty.

The sheets were left from the people before me . The check in lady was rude and made me feel not welcomed. There was food stains all over the wall. Hair dryer didnt work . It was outdated over priced and health issue. I will be reporting this company . Do not stay here!!!

Older rundown faucets need caulk ing pulling apart from tub water tasting I don't understand and some smell inside room

The staff were friendly and courteous but they knew the place is rough around the edges and needs work. The water pressure was great

The door to the room would not open unless you turned the handle counter clockwise. The attendant had to open the door. There was a foul odor in the room. The room was dirty and there was something on the bathroom floor that if it had been mopped would have cleaned it up.

Good location to attractions. Three of us and they gave us 2 towels 2handtowels one wash rag daily we would get extras and they would take them back everyday. Coffee in office only with mold on pot. Bathroom was filthy. I do have pictures to back it up

Bathroom was disgusting when we checked in. However, front desk did clean it immediately and gave us clean towels. Bed was clean and comfortable. Okay place if you're just looking for a place to sleep. Motel really needs a major makeover.

The rooms could use an update. Sheets had stains on them.

This was the dirties place I have ever slept in. I tried to cancel the same day, with no results. If you need, I have photos. Very Unsanitary. I thought I was going to catch a disease.

Didn't have soap or anything in the room /ice machine was broken/ sheets kept falling off mattress(I guess the sheets were old in the elastic had lost it's elasticity and would not stay on matress

The front desk clerk was friendly. However, the room and overall appearance was very dirty. Roaches in the fridge, and bed bugs in the sheets. We did not sleep there. Only used the restroom once, and did not want to bother trying to get another room because of how awful it all was. Please ask owners to revamp the place to a more pleasing aesthetic and cleanliness.

Walked into the room, smelled like mold. Pillows were yellow and the beds were filthy. Bathrooms look like they haven’t been cleaned in a long time. Everything was dirty, bugs in the fridge… it was bad. Walked out and got a refund. Just horrible!

The room smells like an ashtray tried to be covered up by pinesol. No toilet paper. And definitely not what pictures showed.

I will not recommend to anyone. Although website says free breakfast, there was none. Under the bed, lot of dust. The room condition was bad

The hotel is old, room not clean, tv terrible, bathroom was disgusting with used soap left on the tub. Was unable to stay in the room. Took photos for credit card company to deny charges.

It was okay the pool was dirty... the rooms were okay but the door bolt didn’t work

There were two towels covered in dust and one wash cloth. The lamps and tv didn't work. There was no hot water or coffee pot. The took smelled old and the beds were haystacked shaped. Please remove them from your site as a hotel destination.

NOT SATISFIED... DIRTY, NO ICE BUCKET OR ICE IN MACHINE. I DONT THINK HOUSEKEEPING CLEANED ROOM! PILLOWS SMELLED BAD! NO KLEENEX.

The place was so gross we had to leave at 4:30 when we woke up to roaches crawling up the walls. Seriously worried about getting bed bugs from this place.

Zero customer service. Tried get extra pillow or blanket they jus said no they didn't have access to them cleaning lady leaves at noon. TV reception horrid tried getting new cable the cable on hours was broken and that was a no also. Old and need renovation bad. Good price tho overall jus dont expect much if u plan on staying here. Room was also not cleaned adequately

The bathroom was nasty

The 1st room was supposed to be smoke free and it reeked of cigarette smoke. They let me change rooms. The 2nd room, had cigarette ash on the phone receiver, a hole in the door, the bathtub was dirty, the coffee pot was filthy, and the lamp was dusty. I told them and they offered to let me switch again, but I didn't want to. I asked them to clean the room again while I was out. I came back to a cleaner bathtub and a new phone with several buttons missing. I've stayed at hotels for the same price and they were much nicer!!! The staff was friendly and did try to help.

I was there on a fishing trip and needed a place to rest my head for the night. It's okay, stay for the price of the area.

Price is cheap but you rally get what you pay for. Holes in wall, mold in bathroom, cracked lampshades. Super strong small of air sanitizer (most likely to hide something worse. TV reception was crap. This was most likely last updated back in the 70s.

Perfectly fine for my needs. Beds were comfortable, A/C worked fine, staff were quite friendly and accommodating. Nothing fancy, but certainly worth the price. Would certainly stay again if I were in town.

In my room i had bed bugs, woke up doing the night with red bite on my arms and back, bathroom toilet was leaking when flush, bathroom sink fault was broken. Floor carpet torned, no coffee pot in room like stayed. Wasn't please with the facility.

Horrible! Mold in the refrigerator and roaches in the bathroom and light fixtures falling out of the walls! Thank goodness I only stayed here for 9 hours!

It was a Saturday, so finding a hotel wasn’t going to be easy. Believe me if we could’ve, we would’ve went and changed hotels after being in that room for five mins. There was a condom, along with the wrapper behind the bed. Dead roach behind the tv. The bath tub was disgusting, as if it hadn’t been cleaned. The refrigerator did not stay cold. The room was very hot when we arrived, and took hours to actually cool down.

Room was clean and check in was fast. At first there was a lot of road noise (heavy traffic in area) but settled down by the time we wanted to sleep.

This place was a dump, worse waste of money I've ever spent. Crack under door snakes could come in.20 year old microwave that sounded like a garbage disposal you left a knife in. Went to fix my pillows to watch tv and the headboard fell off on me! Did I mention that there was NO phone in the room. Plumming left alot to be desired. Mattresses did not fit the box spring, I kept falling off. When I reported to the manager the headboard had fallen on me, he asked for the room number so he could put it back up. Never asked if I was ok or anything. I need a refund for this roach motel. What do you think?

Tierable Wi-Fi bugs in room account not good noisearea

Told to get handicapped accessible, had to get smaller bed, smaller room. Same price. We did. Shower head was strapped to wall. Anyone handicapped in wheelchair would not be able to shower. Hard enough for a person who could stand to get wet enough to shower yet they claimed it was accessible. My husband is missing part of his foot and had to be uncomfortable to try to bathe.

Place was located in the perfect spot for us. Friendly staff, very inviting. We enjoyed our stay and will be going back next year.

Good place to stay. Price was good. Clean rooms and property. 2nd time we stayed here. Only complaint is that both times the ice machine was not working.

we arrived and had to wait 3 hrs for our room. upon entering, it looks ok, but the commode was spraying water outside the rear tank when flushed. they rigged a fix instead of offering a different room. when looking closer, the room wasn't cleaned thoroughly in while. there was a lot of trash around the trash cans under the stairways. there was a breakfast area , but no breakfast

There was a gap under the front door for a large snake to crawl throug. The location had no senery and the bathroom was horrible. Bugs in the fridge and tub. Shower curtain was filthy.

It was a horrible experience, the bedsheets were torn ,the duvet was dirty ... I couldn't stay there over night has planned had to check out.. that sam day

We came into town about 3:30 Saturday afternoon, we were met at the door by the owner who informed us that they had a fire in the night before. We were not ever notified by the hotel or Expedia that our reservation had been cancelled by force. We then had to track down a room on a Saturday in Kemah, last minute and ended up having to settle for a room far above our budget and below our accommodating needs (1 king bed for 4 adults).

Did have an experience because when I arrived at the hotel it was closed until further notice. I'm very unhappy about this.

On close inspection the room was filthy . The sheets had not been changed there where hairs in the bed , I went to the night attendant and asked about getting clean sheets , he was unable to access that area . He showed my cousin and I two other rooms that where I'm a worse condition. As it was late at night we stayed there sleeping on top of the beds . We spoke to the manager the next morning, who said that was it , bad luck and that we could of checked out . He did not seem to care at all . When we said that we would complain he gave me a 40 dollar credit of my card , I have done a review of the rooms for hotel.com and another 2 websites. Totally unacceptable. I have told friends and family about my stay. My cousin and I have taken pictures of the rooms and beds and will be happy to pass them on .

Was in town for the weekend to visit family the location of the hotel was near where I was visiting. Was not in the Hotel very much except to sleep and clean up and the room was adequate for my purposes I don't need anything special when I travel am not out to find a five star hotel just good place to stay that is clean and quite and Budgetel filled the bill in this case

Hotel was clean, could use updating, and bathroom cleaned better, but overall it was a nice stay for a getaway.

The room was dirty. The floors weren't vacuumed, the sheets were damp, the bathroom tub had hair all in it, and the room smelled awful. The fridge was stinky and didn't work. The flooring was ripped up in the transition from carpet to bathroom. The beds were hard and the pillows were flat. Everything looked very old. The hotel was hard to get to and it appeared that half the rooms were empty. No refunds for unused days. A few sockets didn't work. The good : The staff was nice, Very polite. I will say that there were no bugs, which was unexpected, but a definite plus. Our room was easy to find, on bottom floor. Parking was a breeze, right in front of our room. Card keys worked just fine. Felt pretty safe, especially since it was just me and my two young children. If you need a cheap place to lay your head and don't mind a few inconveniences, then this place will do the job.

Friendly staff. Decided to stay two nights which was no issue for staff to arrange. Room was a little outdated, there were dogs barking all night in a room next to us and there were dead bugs on the stairs outside but we were still happy enough with the stay

The gentleman at the front desk was extremely friendly and prompt. However, the facility is not kept up very well. The lobby was unkempt and sofas appeared very worn. When we arrived in our room it had a horrible smell, the carpet was frayed in several places and unraveling, the bathtub had some sort of black staining all in the bottom, and the toilet wouldn't flush. The front desk person came and plunged the toilet and it worked after that. Overall, this place needs a complete face-lift

Perfect for oneday stay and best value for money... expected what we pay for...

We got this hotel because it was close to NASA and affordable. Nice front staff but this hotel was not the best. When I walked in, the check in area, smelled like urine. The room we stayed in had double beds. One mattress was caved to the side and gave me a back ache. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest. I guess you get what you pay for.
