    Kevin handled my registration the day before with ease and got us set up on a high floor. Renee and Marysol took care of check-in and check-out with so much warmth, friendly jokes and genuine care that immediately made us feel at home. Khalil went above and beyond the entire stay, checking in on us via text, coordinating housekeeping and fulfilling every request including an iron, a fridge and more. He even upgraded us to a suite with a beautiful view. And then there is Joshua. The valet who greeted us with a huge smile and a joke that made us laugh every single day. He helped with our luggage each time without hesitation and brought so much joy to every arrival and departure. The room was stunning, the service was exceptional and every person we encountered made us feel genuinely valued. We will absolutely be back and will be asking for this same team by name.

    Fantastic property in downtown Houston. Close to the Museum and Library Districts. Ample and tastefully decorated public areas. Apple and well laid out rooms, although some of the furniture is calling from a little maintenance. Helpful and friendly staff.

    The hotel was really good. Exceeds my expectations and of course really appreciated the complimentary food that was given for my partner’s 21st birthday celebration. Also, valet was very nice! Would love to visit again. Just the breakfast we ordered. Delivery was good however the food wasn’t very great for us. Especially for how much I paid. But hopefully next time it will be better. Since I love the place.

I asked a simple question regarding the security deposit and was met with an attitude that came across as rude and dismissive. She appeared agitated and was very snippy during the interaction. Customer service and professionalism are important, especially when addressing questions or concerns, and this experience did not reflect that. I hope management addresses this, as respectful communication can make a big difference.

    Honestly, it didn’t bother me that there wasn’t a pool or extra amenities because that’s not why I booked the stay. I wanted a relaxing, upscale getaway and that’s exactly what I got. I also appreciated having the valet option available because it made everything easier. I was disappointed that the restaurant was closed during my stay, but thankfully I was still able to order food at the bar. The food ended up being really good, the drinks were delicious, and the staff was super friendly. I also loved how quiet the hotel was overall. A few small things I noticed: the bed was a little hard for my liking, the bathroom vent was extremely loud and randomly came on, and I do wish they had hand soap in the restroom. Also, for the price of the hotel, I really feel like they should offer complimentary breakfast. The breakfast was delicious by the way, but $27 for an omelette and bacon is kind of crazy. Overall, this hotel — and pretty much everything around it — is definitely on the expensive side, but if you enjoy staying somewhere nice and treating yourself, it’s absolutely worth it. I would definitely stay here again.

    Expedia says they have double king beds… that not true. Parking is $80 a day Came on the weekend and the restaurant was closed all day Sunday and Monday. I called down stairs and they told me it was open stood around for 20 min to find out it was closed. The valet people dropped a pack of cigarettes in my car. If this is supposed to be 5 star they definitely need to turn it up a notch

    My stay at the Baldwin was amazing. The staff was very helpful and very professional. It was my wife's birthday and she had recently got a huge promotion at work the staff provided us with a bottle of champagne and a fruit tray. My wife was very very satisfied with everything and she is talking about going back. I would definitely recommend staying here.

    Great location, nice staff, comfortable rooms. Great gym, bar and restaurant No free wifi included in the stay which is very unconventional for a business hotel. The drapes in my bathroom and the couch in my room had very bad stains and need to be replaced. Otherwise the room was clean but these items really need a refresh.

    The hotel is in good conditions but the services would be better. Checking was ok, should be better for a 4 stars hotel, no was a hair dryer on the room by mistake and I had to call 3 times to get one after an hour, shower cap was not replaced after first day, rude and poor check out at the front desk. It could be a better hotel customer service

    The room and building was amazing, the staff checking in was not the best. Upon checking in they told us our reservation got cancelled despite having a confirmation email. The staff at the front desk was horrible she did not provide any assistance on getting things sorted out she pretty much told us “ oh well, you’ll have to rebook another room” after speaking with someone else they were able to find out reservation and everything got sorted out.

    The front desk man was super pleasant made everything super easy he even bought us a mini fridge since I didn't realize we needed to get a suite to have one . Having a fridge and microwave in room for the price and more knowledge from staff of what was in room we were told we didn't have an ice bucket and to use a trash can with a bag in it then we found it in the bathroom

    The facility was nice enough but the room sizes were small for the price Walls were very thin. First night - neighbors had a 35 minute yelling match, 30 minute loud crying session, and loud make up session… we were the ones asked to move rooms! Second night - 2:30 am party next to us. No response from concierge at all

The room was good and the shower was a waterfall shower head (I think thats what its called). The location is perfect if you’re visiting the performance arts area. Easily walkable as I did. All in all it was a good stay.

    i think some body neef to check the rooms make sure everything work properly..when i get my room i notice somethings are not working properly like the minicooler in the room were not working and smelly.the outlet in the restroom was broke.good thing was the staff move me to a diferent room right away after i report it...thats is a plus.

    The hotel is beautiful. I utilized the gym and it was well maintained. The bed was very comfortable as well I was very hungry once I checked in and asked about room service. The food looked great but when I was trying to call, the calls would not go through. I ended up having to call the front desk and the woman I spoke to placed me on a “brief hold” which turned into 15 minutes. It took 30 minutes to get ahold of someone and when I was able to get ahold of him, at the end of the call, I said “thank you” and he said “uh huh”. Rude. I work in hospitality and it was not polite at all. Guess how long it took for the food to come? Another 30 minutes. Also… don’t get food to your room. It’s so complicated to order and they charge $10 “delivery fee” on top of already ridiculously priced food. I also was shocked to not find the room stocked with an iron. I was there on business and had to go to the front desk to ask for one. Very frustrating One more thing.. they stated I had access to “free WiFi” which in fact was not true. I tried multiple times to connect and even asked for assistance and it never worked. You have to pay $15 for WiFi. Ridiculous. I travel all the time all over the US and internationally and never pay for WiFi. It’s already expensive to stay here, why would you make us pay? Just because you want us to be Hilton Honor Members?

    This has been our 3rd stay here and it was a bit disappointing this time, room lacked cleanliness, check in is 3pm I arrived almost 4pm and room was not ready, bedding had holes and didnt look clean!

    As soon as we walked in we knew there was probably going to be trouble as the room already smelled like marijuana, it was dingy, the shower tiles were brown, tape hanging on the wall from a previous party. After getting back from our event, we hadn’t been in the room for more than 20 minutes when the very very strong smell of marijuana came wafting through the adjoining door, it felt like we were in the same room with the neighbors obviously smoking. We tried to call down to the front desk but kept getting a busy signal so we had to walk down and request a new room because there was no way we were gonna be able to spend the night in a room full of marijuana smoke. The front desk gave us a new room, but also asked before they gave us a new room if we just wanted security to come up and just take care of the neighbors. As if that was my problem to deal with? The next room was one level up, miraculously, no adjoining door, much nicer than the one we had been given on the 14th floor, but the shower tire tiles were still brown and room was dingy, paper thin walls, you can hear an entire conversation next door. SMH Not worth the time, aggravation and definitely the price we paid to stay. Next time I’d choose just to stay home.

    Although I truly appreciate an updated hotel room. The cost/fees for this hotel is overly priced. I stayed in a single bed room with no way to warm up food nor a table to sit at to eat take out food. My last morning shower was lukewarm & I checked out 2hrs early. The hotels website needs to be updated as it shares the hotel has airport shuttle and Italian restaurant. I contacted the front desk who shared the shuffle only travel up to 2mile radius & the restaurant has breakfast, another has take to go. I asked if the front desk could transfer me to the restaurant for more information & they were unable to do so then advice I walk in. Wow

    Staff was short handed, people next door having a normal conversation was heard thru the walls, the high floor view was a parking garage, and the sofa had white “stains”.

    The first room smelled of cigarette smoke even though this is a no smoking hotel. I was moved to a second room that was very dusty. There was also the smell of marijuana in the elevator. Valet parking is $67.00! It is walkable and there a great restaurant around the corner called Guard and Grace. The food and service was top notch!

    The front desk lady was not helpful. She seemed to have an attitude. The shower water kept running after attempting to turn it off multiple times. Valet never had the vehicle ready every time we called ahead of time. We asked for a corner upper room before booking, was promised one and when we checked in we were told that they were sold out. I’m highly disappointed.

    The lobby bar bartender was great, the room was clean, but the walls are paper thin! I could hear every word that was said on both sides of my room. Front desk staff was friendly at first, but then they had a shift change and they were not friendly at all.

    We love Hotels with ceiling to floor windows. The Windows did not give us clear views which defeats the purpose. It needs to be cleaned. But the Overall hotel is clean and smells really nice. Please clean the windows for a better view.

    Had a box delivered days before arrived with confirmation of delivery and confirmation of who signed and where it was delivered. This was a needed delivery for my business trip. 3 different people, managers included could not locate the box. We even left our contact info for them to email me if it was found. When we checked out, it was magically waiting behind the desk but by this time, it was useless to us as my meetings had ended. Only Toya was helpful, noticed the box and was willing to go out of her way to accommodate us. They charge $20/day that must be spent or charged otherwise. Their restaurant was only open for breakfast and lunch but not dinner. The bar was available but freezing cold. They charged $5 for a self serve coffee machine but never had any cream. I usually don’t write reviews and especially not negative ones but when paying this type of money to stay at a curio hotel, you’d expect a lot more professionalism and customer service.

The motion sensor lights which I was unable to shut off kept going off in the middle of the night waking us up every night we stayed there. As well as my rooms cleanliness was sub par - lots of dust and oily finger prints on the door.

    The staff was very nice, as was the bar area. I didn’t like the room, as it was dark and drab. We made the best of it, but it was low on my list of favorite hotels. The area in Houston is ok, not very pretty. The only parking was a couple blocks away ($25/day) or I would have to pay $60+ per day for mandatory valet parking.

    I would make one side note: the staff at the front desk, while very friendly, often seemed quite preoccupied, and never did I experience them greeting me, before I did them. Sometimes, I didn't even get a response. I think tweaking this minor detail may be a huge elevation in the overall experience of an already great place to be. Just my two cents! The valet crew on the other hand were incredibly friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Particularly appreciated Ron!

    The property is close to the Bayou concert center, and nice dining options. I really enjoyed this hotel, the staff was very pleasant. And the food and drinks were very good here. My only complaint is the fee for a guest to park for the day. My friend drove 3 hrs to see me, so i didnt want her to drive any when she arrived. I told her to just valet her car here while we went out and about. They charged $32.00 for a few hours.

    I’ve stayed at this property a few times and I think it’s a great hotel. However, this may be my last time staying here until a few things change. The bathrooms need to be redone completely. The showers are mildewing and that made me so uncomfortable that I decided to buy shower slippers. I requested to be moved to a different room, that was no issue but even the second room had the same issue. Something about not having a clean shower will deter me from staying anywhere. My only other gripe was the $65 per day valet rate. That’s incredibly too high per night. Especially if we’re staying for a longer amount of time. I would hope that the location could find some common ground with that because there aren’t any other parking options nearby.

    Housekeeping enterered room without knocking on door, also room didn't get cleaned after this incident even though she was verbally informed my partner and i were no longer in the room. Also on several occasions valet parking took over 25 minutes, one specific occasion took so long i no longer wanted the vehicle because i missed my reservation

    very good hotel only problem was i used a card there that i never used and unauthorized charges started to accrue. Only place i used the card was the hotel.

    Pretty nice looking hotel. The only flaw is that the isolated shower doesn’t have a door and the shower heads weren’t really clean. But the shuttle service was clutch and the environment was really good!

    The property itself was good, however the smelll in the hallway and the room was weird. The sheets weren’t clean upon arrival and they don’t initially give you wash rags you have to ask.

    Valet is 62$/overnight. Valet had our car for 1 hour and the weather strip of the door was ripped off when we got it back. So we opted to store our car in a parking garage that was a three minute walk away.

    Excellent option for downtown Houston. The lobby bar food and service are very good. Cocktail was outstanding. The room is cool and comfortable. My only criticism is that because the bones of the place are older, the power outlets in the room are not convenient for business travelers wanting to work in the room with the laptop plugged in. There was also no power outlet near the in-room coffee machine. Otherwise, it is a very cool hotel with a great location.

    The C. Baldwin hotel in Houston is my preferred accommodation due to its central location, convenient shuttle service, consistently pleasant atmosphere, and excellent hot water for a luxurious shower/bath to unwind from a long day.

    Our Room 530 wasn’t vacuumed, found a couple candy wrappers under the edge of the bed and the trash in the bathroom wasn’t emptied. Felt $6.41 for a can of Diet Coke outrageous not to mentioned $67/night to park. Then on top of all that $20/destination fee. Great that would crest if we purchased food or drinks. No heads up from staff when checking in and no consideration when I asked for it to be refunded. Oh yeah, $40 for a pizza in room service. over priced and under delivered. Sadly will not be back.

    Thoughts: Great bed! AWFUL roman showers (water splashes all over the floor and they are COLD). Slippery polished stone shower threshold is a law suit waiting to happen. In room coffee maker is from Motel 6. TV had a 2 inch gouge in the panel. Obvious renovations show average workmanship. Ceiling panels in bathroom were loose and dropped dust on floor. The you-must-spend-more-money-here daily (and pre-paid) charge is complete BS for a wanna-be 5 star hotel. Restaurants are pricy, have mostly good food, but they are not restaurants i would otherwise choose. No pool. The elevators were eventually shut down the morning we checked out. We heard something large and metal fall down the elevator shaft while we were waiting. The elevator car that finally stopped at our floor had a 6 foot metal piece (of trim?) in it ... we took the stairs.

    Great stay for the price. Staff is always very friendly. Small pool but big enough, Nice size hot tub and they are both open 24 hours! That was the big selling point for us wince we arrived after 8pm. The ropa vieja restaurant has really good food. This was our second time staying, and we would stay again in the future. Also, there is a walgreens across the street incase you forget anything and they are also open 24 hours!! You can't beat the conveniece.
