Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the cleanliness of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. The location is also frequently praised for its proximity to downtown events and public transportation. However, several guests express disappointment with the unavailability of advertised amenities such as the restaurant, bar, and shuttle service. There are also complaints about the parking situation and the size of the rooms.

We like the location and price point of this hotel when we just need an overnight stay in downtown Houston. Great location to Downtown and Midtown. Unfortunately there have some major renovation going right now that would be have nice to know ahead of time. Still a decent hotel.
- 3/5
the property was not as clean as I would have expected, however the room was nice. The biggest turn off was the paying for parking when you are already staying there. I won't be staying again for that reason alone. There are other hotels in the same area that do not charge.
- 2.5/5
The staff was nice. The beds were comfortable.and the room was clean. Kind of needs to be remodeled. Offer snacks and drinks in the lobby or anywhere on the property
- 5/5
Room was updated and clean. Beds very comfortable. Staff amazing. The only issue was the washer and dryers. Machines kept taking the money. I did receive a refund twice for it. Otherwise, great location. Will visit again.

Very nice and clean hotel.

Great location and helpful staff.

The system was down!

Location, bed was comfortable and staff were great Under construction, dirty, load and brown water came out shower
- 1/5
This property was gross. Over priced for a cheer competition where my daughter ended up with bed bugs. They ran out of blankets and had no means of keeping our luggage although we had a late flight and early check out. We asked to check out a bit later and that was also denied. Called corporate and they did nothing for us. I guess I can say it’s expected from a Holiday Inn. First and last time I stay in one.
- 4/5
The room was nice. The bed was comfortable! The TV was really nice! There was no where to get ice or sodas!! We did have an ice bucket. I didn't like the staffer that didn't tell us that the Shuttle she knew e were waiting for was running late and didn't bother to tell me until I asked her.

Good location. N/A
- 4/5
The hotel was clean and room was nice but some of the staff seem to no be intentive with guest and all aloof and I feel like all hotels should have smart tv’s they should invest in that. But other those things it was a great stay.
- 3/5
Terrible location. Front desk warned me not to walk anywhere because it was unsafe. Homeless people on the curb out front. For the price, I could have stayed in a much better location. I won’t be back.
- 4/5
Was a lovely place to stay. Staff was very helpful and location was convenient to restuarants and public train
- 5/5
This was an amazing hotel, very clean and staff was so sweet!
- 5/5
The breakfast was very disappointing. I understand that it is included at a low cost, but the quality was extremely poor. The food lacked freshness, flavor, and variety.
- 5/5
It was good.

Great stay and friendly people
- 4/5
Great location but they are renovating not a big deal though

Josh, and the other staff working in the kitchen and front desk were very polite. Kudos to the team!

Should have mentioned the hotel is under renovation Location

Location
- 2/5
It was under construction so the whole lobby was not in use
- 5/5
Great place to stay.
- 3/5
Another issue was the lack of a safe in the room, which was inconvenient and made me uncomfortable leaving valuables behind. For the price paid, I expected better communication and basic amenities. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations.
- 5/5
The beautiful view
- 1/5
The staff at night, especially the old lady with a faded greenish eyeliner , is not very nice. The words she uses when correcting mistakes are not the kindest. She sounds very strict and unapproachable, and it makes you feel like you’d rather not ask questions because it might trigger her to say more unpleasant things.
- 5/5
lovely thank you
- 5/5
Is ok, good location, good price, good staff, I really want to recommend them
- 3/5
The location is amazing and the price is honestly great for being right downtown. They’re doing major remodeling right now and it’s kind of a mess. The lobby is chaotic, my room had a really strong chemical smell, and the shower door wouldn't even close. Plus, only one elevator is working—I ended up waiting like 10 minutes just to get downstairs during the morning rush.Breakfast isn't free, it’s ten bucks a person. Parking is another 30 dollars a night, though that’s pretty standard for downtown. Also, the staff were just okay—not really as welcoming as you’d hope.If you’re on a tight budget and just need a cheap place to crash downtown, it works. Otherwise, I’d probably hold off until the renovations are completely done.
- 4/5
Very good
- 4/5
The bathroom lighting is very dim, making it difficult to apply makeup or do hair. Breakfast is available for $10 but is not included and requires a ticket; the attendant is very strict about this. Parking is $30 per day in a garage that is somewhat in disarray due to construction. A major plus is that although checkout is at 11:00 AM, garage access is allowed until 11:59 PM, which was very helpful. We were in town for the Lone Star Regional Volleyball tournament at the convention center, and with Sunday game times being TBA, the extended parking access added convenience. The rail train is located across the street, but there is significant walking between connections. While inexpensive (about $1.25 per person per ride), it can be confusing and frustrating if you’re unfamiliar with the city. We found Uber/Lyft to be a more convenient option.

The hotel is under construction so it made our stay bad. Lobby is completely gutted and workers in and out building stuff and loud . They were also outside our room hall doing work . The restaurant closed except for breakfast made it inconvenient to have to leave and find place to eat . The terrace was closed for remodeling . The staff was great and shuttle driver was great .
- 1/5
They said look for another hotel we will refund which hasn’t come yet
- 2/5
Parking was a mess.
- 3/5
The room was clean but they are Renovating the property. I went to get ice through the stairs and got trapped and had to go to the second floor to be able to come out and then find a working elevator. This is dangerous! Stairs should be available at all times with your key card. Everything in the front lobby was under construction. Signs not to use this or that were not posted. It was expensive too.
- 1/5
There was construction that we were not warned about on the website nor on Hotels.com. Had we known we would not have stayed.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 1.5/5
I didn’t like that it was a vaccination and I was getting woken up multiple morning with the sound of construction in the rooms next time mine I couldn’t get the proper sleep and it impacted my stay very poorly
- 3/5
Was under construction so i give them a pass but staff and rooms were very nice

Ac very loud, a LOT of banging from remodeling, and check in is super sketchy looking. I understand they’re in a remodel, but folding chairs and tables looks really bad. Also, arrows were pointing AWAY from entrance, we wandered thru garage, around and finally found entrance 30 feet from where we started other direction. Made no sense.
- 5/5
Great
- 1/5
Front desk was a couple fold out tables put together. Elevators were sketchy and barely functioning. Parking garage is awful, trucks can barely fit and the garage cement looks like it’s about to collapse. The only good thing was the staff was very professional and helpful.
- 4/5
Very good
- 4/5
They were under construction when we were there. other than that everything was fine.
- 1/5
The property was undergoing renovation, which resulted in a strong paint odor. Unfortunately, the surroundings were not conducive to taking photographs, particularly given the occasion of a graduation. The renovation works did not meet my expectations. A dedicated area for food had been designated, but the selection was limited and lacked fresh fruit. Upon arrival, I felt disappointed.
- 2/5
Disappointing
- 3/5
They are undergoing renovations. Staff informed me renovations will be done in July. It was construction noise during the day but overall my stay wasn't horrible. 10 out of 10 in other time I've stayed there.
- 1/5
Yes, I had no idea that the hotel was under construction. We planned to eat at the restaurant but it was non existent. The water was turned off without a forewarning. I feel like we should have been sent a notice or the website should have let us know
- 1/5
Very poor
- 5/5
The room was very clean and service was good
- 3/5
Everything was fine until a pipe burst in our bathroom flooding the entire suite . Ruining some of our personal belongings . We were then moved at 2am to a much smaller room with just 2 beds for the 4 of us for the remainder of the night .
- 1/5
The parking and hotel are under construction. Lots of mess and noise.
- 1.5/5
Location and price/quality. Service at the front desk is very bad. I am struggling to get an invoice for my stay despite talking to them directly on the phone and with booking. First time a hotel doesn't want to give me an invoice in 25 years travelling. Very weird!
- 1.5/5
Location, only. The rate was too high and did not provide quality service.

- 5/5
Staff and room was great at a great price.
- 5/5
Cleanliness just needed a pool to relax in but otherwise nice property amongst downtown
- 1.5/5
The room was comfortable and spacious. The hotel was under construction which meant that there was only a reception downstairs. There was dust everywhere. The restaurant was closed. The breakfast was appalling, the juice machine was broken and the coffee was burnt. Staff were obviously having to cope, but we were not informed of the renovations even through we booked around 4 weeks in advance. The internet went down while were there due to them fixing it on our floor. The guys doing the work said- sorry we didn't realise you were there. I would want a refund of our fees.
- 1/5
They are under complete construction and no one told us before hand. No breakfast 3 out of 4 of the nights, then charged us 10 dollars each for breakfast around construction mess and dust. Every morning hammers and drills all around waking us up. One elevator working, a family got stuck in it one evening. Top it all off that roof top in the pictures you see is LOCKED and CLOSED
- 4/5
Didn't see any place for breakfast. Construction.
- 3/5
Really friendly and helpful staff. However major renovations ongoing, the entire week I was there the lobby was in various states of being re-tiled, with building supplies, equipment etc standing everywhere. Main entrance closed up (yellow tape across it) and had to walk round the block twice to find a side door to enter through. only 1 lift working. the remodeled rooms are modern and comfortable. But the remodeling noisy and inconvenient and I certainly was NOT notified about it beforehand. Overall very expensive stay for the facilities provided. Amazing staff though, saves the hotels reputation imo
- 4/5
The hotel is currently under construction so kind of smelly. The air condition is very loud so I had to wear ear plugs. We paid for break breakfast and the was a “very very” basic breakfast. It’s more like free breakfast setting but they charged. They still have some improvements to do. Staffs are very friendly.
- 2/5
This hotel lobby is entirely under renovation. Only thing there is the check in desk. This information should be on this site to let people know this ahead of time. I would not have chosen this hotel for our stay.
- 1/5
Very uncomfortable
- 3/5
Pleasant
- 1/5
Paid for ADA room that was needed and did not get one, had carperts outside my room being ripped up at 8:45 AM, entire lobby was under construction, checked 3 floors for ice and had none, mini fridges did not even work, and only one active elevator.
- 1/5
They were on new construction and had no consideration about the people staying there. It was very smelly and dirty, while the construction was going on was very disappointed with the had a checkout
- 2/5
There was construction, noise and pretty awful
- 4/5
Liked the fact that we were greeted kindly and that David apologized for the lobby being renovated during our stay. The only issue was that we didn't get our room cleaned or at least trash taken out nor did we get enough towels although I did let housekeepers know that we were 3 in each room that I booked and only got two towels per room. The lady was rude and said that every two bed rooms had 1 towel per bed policy. Honestly, I did not expect that from Holiday Inn.
- 1.5/5
The hotel staff were kind, friendly, and very helpful. The hotel is currently under construction and renovation, so it does not look like a proper hotel. This was not mentioned anywhere during the booking process. On the contrary, the photos showed a well-maintained hotel, which was very misleading compared to the construction site we arrived at. When we got there, I honestly thought we had the wrong address. There were workers around at all times, construction dust, and even a crane in the middle of the lobby. Additionally, the breakfast was extremely poor - far below what is expected from a Holiday Inn by IHG.
- 3/5
The room was fine, the bathroom floor and walls were a little dirty. The main problem is that there is significant construction happening in every section of the hotel, rooms, lobby, even the floors where rooms are. Loud construction (that could be heard from the room) was happening from 8AM-5PM. The lobby is completely uninhabitable, and construction is blocking the door from the parking garage, so you must walk all the way from the parking garage around to the front of the building. I understand that construction happens, but it would’ve been nice to be made aware of it at the time of booking, and a discounted rate seems applicable. At the very least include free parking ($30 a night), or free breakfast ($11 per person) for the inconvenience and noise. Staff was all helpful and friendly.
- 3/5
Under construction and was not aware when I booked
- 4/5
No breakfast.
- 1.5/5
Nothing in a HOLIDAY INN one would expect for the price paid for the stay. It was very disappointing for me and my family: 1)The room is very noisy throughout the day and night - window panes are not insulating outside sound at all. 2)Several floors on the hotels are under construction - we could hear hammering sounds through the day, smell of paints, dirt and debris at many points. 3)Breakfast was in a makeshift room which was not ideal for having food. 4)Quality of breakfast is not what is expected from a HOLIDAY INN Brand. 5)Struggled to connect to internet through wifi - one of the staff helped in contacting the service provider and set-it up on our phones. 6) Lifts were in poor condition, most of the time we access through service lifts. Lifts were open to access to anyone which means it was insecure as anyone could come to the floor. 7)The Air Conditioner cut-off sound is so loud it can wake a person from the sleep.

Currently remodeling so it was a little annoying but in all the area was good to get around downtown.
- 5/5
Yes room was ice cold and breakfast was wonderful!!
- 3/5
I could not book over the phone with them, because “hammering”, I then could not get a timely answer to provide a CC autho form because yes you guessed it, construction, I then could not get a shipping label printed because “no printers” due to constructions, they then would not initially take a package for UPS to pick up because it was to complicated because of construction (the package was shipped there and delivered to me without issue) but two days later it was an issue? The next time this location does construction, they might as well just shut down because apparently the front desk staff is completely incapacitated and cut off from doing simple aspects of the job. Mind you I have worked in hospitality and hotels for 10years and know I wasn’t asking them to go above and beyond. Front desk staff needs some attention when it comes to the gracious service aspect.
- 5/5
Good
- 1.5/5
Zero service zero parking to check in. Location was in a very bad part of town.
- 5/5
Nice staff but didn’t know about the construction
- 1/5
Está en remodelación no se puede dormir a gusto
- 1/5
This is my second time staying in this location. Both time's they gave me the wrong room and were very rude towards my girlfriend and I. Horrible experience, will not be coming back ever again.
- 4/5
The parking garage was very crammed
- 1/5
This place should be closed until their renovation work is complete. Rooms were clean, everything else was awful.
- 5/5
under remodel
- 3/5
They advertise breakfast but wasn’t included
- 1/5
Tv was messed up someone had to come fix it. Shuttle didn't run every 30 mins as advertised, my daughter and I had to walk 20 mins after her game to get to the hotel and the very next morning I had to walk 20 more minutes so I wouldnt be late for her game. The shuttle aspect was one of my main reasons for booking this hotel! They were doing construction on the hotel and it had a bad odor! Will never stay here again!
- 5/5
Nice views, clean room
- 5/5
Clean room! nice staff! the free shuttle was SUCH A PLUS!!!!
- 4.5/5
The room was excellent. Great bed and bathroom. Staff very responsive. The hotel is under construction and the elevator situation was not comfortable . Location was not accessible to restaurants or drug stores.

Clean Room, very hospitable staff.
- 5/5
I would stay there again. I did not get to experience the amenities like I would like but my stay was excellent. It was a pretty quick walk to the start line.
- 4/5
Very good
- 1/5
The room on the 6th floor was nice. This property is being renovated. Not enough parking spaces because the remodeling equipment took up tje spots.
- 1/5
Was not informed they were doing a complete remodel so it was loud, parking garage was a mess, none of the amenities were open. But the rooms were clean and the bed comfy. Just wish we would have known it was under construction.
- 2/5
Disappointing
- 3/5
Clean room, efficient staff, no oldies with previous stays, but this time my room didn’t have any hot water.
- 3/5
The hotel is in a pretty good location but the hotel itself needs some help. You can tell they are in the middle of a renovation. The elevator seems really sus. While we were there, one of the two quick working with a lady stuck for a couple of hours. Our room looked liked it was renovated, but it was very small and tight for 3 people. We did not take part in their breakfast buffet but heard from other guests that it was terrible and not worth the $10 they pre paid for. It did what we needed for our weekend but probably will not choose to stay there again. I will say that their complimentary shuttle driver, David was awesome! He was very kind and drove us to a restaurant and picked us up. He was very courteous and friendly.
- 5/5
Did Not Use The Laundry. And Not To Many Stores In The Area. That Downtown Area Should Be Thriving...
- 1.5/5
I liked the location of of Hotel because it was near the event I was attending. Price for the parking, noise of waking Me up, & elevator stuffinesses with no air

Overall I'll give 4 stars. The front desk staff were very friendly as well as house keeping. My room clean & neat. The parking for the hotel is not easy and rather awkward. Also no connectinon from parking/ garage area to the hotel. Stairway and ramp portions are a little unsafe. My sister missed her step and I witnessed other visitors do the same in the same area. Lastly due to construction things like ice was not readily available on each floor.
- 5/5
Everything was great, convenient parking, rooms were clean and spacious, and the location was perfect.
- 5/5
It was great very conveniently located in downtown I would definitely consider staying here again
- 2/5
The property was clean but also under construction, charge you 30 for an early check in even it's 30 minutes before 3. No restaurants in the area, cold water for my entire stay so had to use the sink. They offered a room change but I had already unpacked and they had no luggage racks to transfer it. The only plus was the shuttle that could take you to areas in a 1.5 mile radius of the hotel.
- 4/5
Vicinity to the Toyota Center. Parking is limited. There was renovations happening but no mention of this on the website.
- 4.5/5
I like that they had an on site parking deck, but the parking spots were just to tight and close in proximity to each other. The parking is awful and not enough handicapped parking spaces.
- 4/5

- 4/5
The hotel is under some kind of construction along with the restaurant.
- 2/5
No breakfast, under construction and no business center. We wont be back
- 3/5
There was no ;hot water and the room was a bit warm at night. The staff made up with their service.
- 4/5
Ac worked good clean room great staff
- 4/5
The breakfast was good. The hotel was clean. The shuttle bus was the best amenity offered in my opinion. It saved me over $200 is uber fees throughout my 3 day trip
- 5/5
Great!
- 2/5
The Hotel food, roon condition, air conditioning all were worth my dime...however the Hotel is under renovation which is mentioned NO WHERE. No roof top access, no burger joint and for that I was not satisfied.
- 5/5
Todo bien, hotel sencillo para dormir y pasar la noche
- 2/5
They were not willing to work with me due to delay in flight etc
- 3/5
The shuttle staff were honestly the best part of the stay. Both David and Nancy were friendly, came quickly to help, just really redeeming of the whole experience. The room was basic but had clean linens. If you used anything in the room it wasn’t replaced. The parking was a nightmare they charge you to have. They asked me as a single woman to walk down several ramps and park in a dark basement where they’d charge me $30 a night. No elevator to said basement. The whole thing felt really unsafe. No breakfast, no snack selection other than a few things that were picked over by others. They are cashless and the front desk turned up his nose at another woman in front of me in line when she asked how to pay. The front staff were short and not warm at all when questions were asked. Most signage and elevators looked like they’d been through hard times and hadn’t been wiped down in ages. I honestly wouldn’t stay again.
- 3/5
Prior to our arrival, the ceilings on our floor had been painted. I brought to staff's attention that the smoke detector outside our room was still covered in plastic wrap and painter's tape. When we left 4 days later, it was still covered...
- 2/5
Room wasn't ready, over an hour delay. Shuttle unreliable, forced to walk everywhere. Included breakfast was laughable. Facilities were lacking, dated, in need of repair.
- 4/5
Breakfast needs to be addressed at this property. Since there is an added fee for breakfast, the menu should be at least as good as at other Holiday Inn properties where the breakfast is free. We stayed at this property for four nights and oatmeal was not available for every morning. The cinnamon rolls that are common at other Holiday Inns were never present at this one.
- 2/5
Cold AC. Woke up this morning with the smell of weed coming through the vent. No amenities. Long wait line to check in.
- 2/5
Our room was not ready until 3:45pm and check in was at 3. It pushed back all of our plans that day. The receptionist took a call from an outside number in the middle of assisting me. Would not recommend
- 5/5
I thought breakfast hours were weird, but that’s OK. Everything else was fine.
- 1/5
They made check in extremely difficult and not helpful. Parking was confusing and garage smelled awful. Definitely not worth the price.
- 5/5
Clean
- 4/5
Good price for downtown location. Fair price for parking and on site shuttle service. Middle of renovation and 1 elevator working on busy Saturday weekend.
- 4/5
Property is dated on the outside. Overall it’s pretty clean. Check-ins took way too long.

- 4/5
It’s was a very good stay

Good location

We got in light around 12 AM on Thursday. The chicken was okay, they told us about the breakfast buffet, which they have every morning.For$10.99 which we had got, we get to breakfast. The next morning and we were very disappointed. The breakfast they trying to charge us for 1099. Should have been a free breakfast. It wasn't no buffet the breakfasts.I came with a stay with the hotel. It wasn't worth my money at all
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
No fitness center due to renovations. Should have to disclose this as it is something we look for when we choose a hotel.

Nice Hotel, should mention under renovation before booking. Gym closed, did not get an option for breakfast included. Had to pay at hotel.
- 3/5
No Ice machines but on even number floors.
- 2/5
The up stairs unit leak came through the floor woke us up in the middle of the night had to move rooms only thing they want to do to make it better was give us free breakfast
- 1/5
Horrible. Paid $370 for one night. The app failed to tell me that the building was under construction and amenities were not open due to construction. Could not relax due to loud noises from the workers working. Also paid for parking and there was no safe parking available. I bleed to issue a complaint and they told me they would get back to me and haven’t heard back.
- 5/5
Nothing
- 3/5
The floor we were on had wall paper falling off the walls, it smelled like marijuana, and we had water dripping out of our shower ceiling for no apparent reason whatsoever. The breakfast buffet looked pitiful, don’t pay for it. Bed was as expected. Everything was showing unmanaged wear and tear.
- 3/5
Currently being remodeling, not in the best conditions, let’s review afterwards
- 3/5
Stayed for the World Baseball Classic so the location was great for getting to the stadium. The shuttle was convenient and the staff was fantastic and always helpful. Our floor was under renovations which was a bit annoying. We had to evacuate when the fire alarms had a false alarm and it took a couple hours for them to get the alarms off. The staff handled the situation the best they could and I was very pleased with their customer service. Cleanliness was satisfactory. Overall it was a fine experience highlighted by the customer service of the staff.
- 4/5
Pull out bed in the suite was not comfortable
- 5/5
Great hotel excellent service walking distance to Toyota center
- 3.5/5
The parking was horrible, but they did say it was under construction. The bathroom sinks are too small, un able to keep items around it.
- 3/5
One elevator wasn’t working. Had to ask for towel
- 2/5
It's an older property. I wouldn't have stayed had I known it was older. It was just ok, until the air conditioning im my room stopped cooling. Maintenance had to come and reset it and it took a long time to cool off.
- 4/5
Bed was super comfortable. Parking garage and elevators were a little sketchy. Convenient location to the Convention Center.
- 3/5
It was advertised as having a restaurant on the premises and that is not the case it was closed. Overall it was clean but it could use an upgrade
- 5/5
Clean hotel, friendly staff, would stay here again.

Bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve slept on in quite some time. There was also some sort of leak in the ceiling in the bathroom. Overall awful experience and would not recommend.
- 1/5
I have not received my deposit
- 4.5/5
breakfast great / check-in great / service awesome / parking directions EXCEPTIONAL by on-site staff nothing
- 5/5
Everything was great!! Loved Mrs Nancy the van shuttle!!
- 1/5
They were rebuilding the room next by and didn’t tell me anything. So very loud and when I called the front desk he said they couldn’t do anything about it. Internet didn’t work. Half machines at the gym broke.
- 5/5
I liked everything
- 2/5
Room was dirty
- 5/5
I like the location and was nice and clean.
- 3/5
Room was okay
- 2/5
I arrived 50 mins early for my check in and the front desk clerk was quick to tell me I was early and would have to wait. I waited until 3:00 (while I saw others check in before 3:00) and when 3:00 hit I went to the front desk to check in only to be told I they didn’t have a room ready. Once I got a room the water in the toilet and faucet was an orange color. Maintenance came and said I just need to let the water run. It had been running for 20 mins before I called the. In the end they moved me to a new room. Not my best stay.
- 5/5
Great location! Very quiet despite being next to busy streets in Downtown Houston!
- 5/5
.
- 4/5
Very clean room, professional staff, and conveniently located.
- 2/5
Charge you for parking it's too tight and breakfast the breakfast is horrible never replace the oatmeal coffee was cold wasn’t fresh at all
- 3/5
The not so good: The parking garage is poorly designed, overpriced, and an overall unpleasant experience. The shuttle would be a nice touch but the amount of places they actually take you is VERY limited given the 1.5 mile radius. The minifridge in our room was extremely loud. The bathroom was lacking in design (no place to hang the hand towels, soap dispenser far from sink). Overall: I would probably look elsewhere if I was returning to Houston.
- 3/5
Parking was $30.00 a night, breakfest was $10.00 a day
- 3/5
No like the pictures but ok
- 5/5
Spotless nice friendly
- 5/5
Clean
- 3/5
Room was clean, but iron was busted and spilling leftover dirty water. No Hair Dryer, bath working
- 4/5
Location close to work office $30 /day parking fee
- 4/5
Room was very clean and quiet
- 4/5
Shuttle Driver Davd was amazing. Hotel was under construction on our floor so alot of noise was a bother but other then that nice staff.
- 3/5
*We didn’t have conditioner, it was filled up with body wash. *I told one of the hostesses if they can send someone to clean our room and they never arrived to clean the room. *The hospitality staff was decent (just the bare minimum) including the restaurant breakfast employees. *You have to pay 30+ dollars to park your car at the hotel parking per night. *The hotel parking was horrible and has no cameras, and there is no security.(also it’s like outside of the hotel) *The food was decent and they didn’t restock some of the food so try to be early. *Also they only open breakfast for like 4 hours and they closed before 11 am In my opinion it’s an okay option to stay, but I will not come back to this location again.
- 5/5
The room was spotless, staff was courteous, anenities adequate. Ambience good, great look.
- 5/5
Clean room, didn’t have an odor, was comfortable
- 5/5
Besides the construction goin on its like nothing is goin on... very clean, room temperature perfect, the view from the 11th floor amazing
- 4/5
Takes to long for deposit back. Still haven’t gotten it from Jan. 29th
- 3/5
I was not giving the room I paid for. I pay for a downtown view i was assigned a room with a midtown view. I made effort to have it corrected but still ended up with a different room with same view.
- 5/5
Nice clean room.
- 2/5
Also, we had no hot water. I called the desk who said someone would come, but the problem was never addressed or fixed. I did get an "I'm sorry " on the way out.
- 4/5
Exceptionally clean, lovely staff.
- 3/5
Room was not ready at check in and the tv did not work. They offered to move us to a different room but it was almost 9:00 at night when they offered that. So we stayed where we were but I was very disappointed.
- 2/5
Horrible breakfast that isn’t included, window coverings were raggedy
- 5/5
The staff was very helpfully and knowledgeable
- 3/5
Why is there no free breakfast ??
- 5/5
Clean
- 4/5
Clean room, 10 min walk to House of Blues venue / Toyota Center. Easy check in and out. We were able to check in early @2. Hotel did not mention extra fees when booking the room. Be prepared put down a $100 deposit and to pay $30 to park in the hotel garage. They deducted the parking from the deposit and still waiting to get the refund of the $70 back onto the credit card. If checking out a show @ HoB, prepare to pay min $14 drink.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 4/5
Was good
- 5/5
They had the friendliest man working the front desk. He was very polite and also added a breakfast voucher for my daughter for free .
- 5/5
no issues at all with the room or the hotel! Wish it was more downtown, but that's not their problem!
- 4/5
Staff was friendly
- 3/5
Plus, I felt them remodeling the hotel room above me early in the morning on a Sunday was really rude and disrespectful to paying customers , staff was very nice and helpful
- 5/5
Room is quite small, but the view was great. There was no fan in the bathroom so after shower it was very humid. Didn’t have breakfast at the hotel because it was not included. Shuttle service was convenient, employees were very friendly but parking needed to be paid. Overall was ok experience.
- 5/5
Gentleman at the front desk was extremely kind. Very helpful. It's been a long time since I've had service that great
- 4/5
The entrance to the front door is horrible. The key card doesn’t work, then you buzz in and wait for someone to answer. I sat in the lobby waiting for an uber and not one person could enter in without a staff member letting them in . I appreciate security but find a better way for your guest to enter
- 5/5
Good
- 1/5
Do not reverse park in the parking garage! The top level does not have a sign stating not to do this. I backed in to a spot and broke the back windshield on my car. There is a sign on the level below, but not all of them. The wheel stop on the ground was also shifted, and not in the right place. So that wouldn’t have helped either. When I brought this up to management I was told it’s not their responsibility. They gave me the $30 parking fee back. Doesn’t help much for a $480 window. Also paid for breakfast that was included, but that doesn’t start tell 7 am. Wasn’t able to eat because my event started at 6:45.
- 4/5
Positive Aspects: • Clean and well-kept room and carpet. • Comfortable bedding. • Impressive city view from the room. Issues Noted: • One towel appeared to have makeup residue. • Room key card malfunctioned multiple times (approximately six), requiring staff assistance at the front desk to reset it. Despite minor inconveniences with the key card and towel, the stay was pleasant. Cleanliness and comfort outweighed the issues, and I would choose to stay at this hotel again in the future.
- 5/5
yes
- 1/5
I asked the host before making a reservation was any rooms available go check in and he said yes. After the reservation was made, he explained to me that the check in time was for 3p.
- 3/5
Homeless in the area no where to eat local
- 4/5
Good options for marathon
- 3/5
The rooms could be improved, and the bathrooms were dirty. There were some mold in there too. There was a Caucasian male that needs to work on his customer service. He was super rude.
- 5/5
Great shower. Amazing bed and pillows. No breakfast. Houstons homeless problem forces hotels to keep all doors locked. Front doors are inconvenient to open.
- 5/5
Staff was so nice
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Smell bad on a parking area and inside room
- 4/5
Staff was very courteous! Room was clean upon arrival. Room was a little noisy (mechanical not people) due to proximity to the elevator.
- 4/5
Staff is friendly. Room is clean but outdated.
- 4/5
None.
- 4/5
Clean
- 2/5
First off, the hotel is transitioning because someone else bought it.. There is no restaurant. For breakfast they place you in a cold sterile room with almost inedible breakfast food and the attendant will hunt you down over the little food voucher card.. Parking is in a basement full led with graffiti and a beat up elevator. No pool or lounge area like advertised.
- 2/5
Hotel room was dirty. Gave me a room with coffee grounds on the floor and room smelled like cigarettes.
- 5/5
Everything was great. And the French Bakery nearby was an unexpected delight
- 4/5
Room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable. The only negative comment is regarding limited counter space in the bathroom. Not much room to put toiletries and difficult to put makeup and fix hair.
- 3/5
Front desk staff are not friendly at all.
- 5/5
room service every day, clean rooms, quiet. good location. but for the price, i think breakfast should of been included with the stay and not a separate charge.
- 1/5
The entire parking garage and portions of the hotel reeked of marijuana smoke. There were two prostitutes sitting on the ground in the parking garage near the elevator and entrance to the hotel. The television in the hotel room did not work. The breakfast food was disgusting and worse than grade school cafeteria food.
- 3/5
They told me I had breakfast included when I called to confirm reservation before boarding plane, when I arrived receptionist said I didn't. Was inconvenient. Location is great.
- 4/5
Place was nice and clean. Elevator was making a noise and shaking. Didn’t feel safe.
- 5/5
Everything was nice
- 1/5
Got charged $70 for a smug on a pillow case. There was other issues with the hotel. Do not stay here unless you want them to charge you for stuff that’s normal for a hotel. I will never stay with a Holiday inn ever. Hard to believe a company as big as they are tolerated one of there hotels to ripe there customers off
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
The staff were very friendly and the bed was super comfortable. I havent given full marks as the mezzanine area was closed for renovations, which could have been explained beforehand, and the hotel bar/restaurant was closed. Also, the alarm clock went off at 6am which we hadn't set, then again ten minutes later! The shuttle service was an excellent idea.
- 5/5
Was spotless
- 5/5
Everything was good
- 1/5
Absolutely horrible customer service at this hotel. The hotel was under construction and super loud at all hours, I was not notified ahead of booking that this was ongoing. When I called front desk to complain they said construction would end soon, which didn’t happen. In the morning I went downstairs for breakfast, I asked where I could eat, as it says there was breakfast in the lobby area but I couldn’t find it, the lady answered by mumbling. (I still don’t know where the breakfast lounge is) Left a horrible taste for holiday inn, I always stay at holiday inns but I think this is where I draw the line. I also called holiday inn customer complaints line and was told that I’d get a call back within 5 minutes from this hotel for some kind of action on my bad experience but never got one, I called 10+ times throughout the day and every time I was given the same answer that the hotel would call me within 5 minutes (I am still awaiting a call and some kids of retribution) horribly dissatisfied with holiday inn. I will take my business for the rest of my Texas trip at different hotels.
- 4/5
The parking garage was the only real disappointment. The smell and left construction debris was horrible.
- 5/5
Good place to stay. Front desk was helpful for places to go to try. A little out of the way for night life but good price.
- 2/5
Amenities are not good. Room is outdated and staff is not the friendliest. Wouldn’t recommend
- 4/5
Pros: convenient location, plenty of surface parking nearby, housekeeping service daily. Cons: restaurant closed, general musty smell in common areas, lackluster shower water pressure.
- 5/5
Comfortable stay, clean room, felt safe and really friendly staff.
- 4/5
Clean room but lots of street noise. Kinda small too. Absolutely no shelving or drawers in the bathroom which was odd.
- 3/5
This is a hotel on the verge of a much needed tip to bottom renovation. The staff is friendly. The Burger Theory restaurant that anchors the main floor is just that, a theory. Closed a couple of months ago and apparently not coming back. Rooms are clean and serviceable but like the rest of the hotel appear as if they are stuck in that purgatory of “well, since we’re going to spend a lot of money to renovate this place at some point in the future, let’s not do anything now” purgatory. Wall mounted Soap dispensers are a good four feet away from bathroom sink on opposite side of toilet which is both dumb design and inconvenient. Water from sink in bathroom has a foul odor which makes one second guess one’s life choices. The bed is comfy so a good night sleep can be had. The lobby is kind of grim in a bus stop sort of way, but the lobby bathrooms are actually surprisingly clean and welcoming. In our three day stay our room keys did not work at least once per day, which is challenging when you need them for rooms, front door of hotel and parking garage. We exchanged our card keys three times. I’m sure in a few months or years this place will be refit and be great. For now, you get what you pay for.
- 5/5
The room was clean. I’m satisfied with the hair care and body lotion. It would be great if there were hair brush and more drink (soup) options.
- 5/5
Good no complaints
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 5/5
Accommodating
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean room
- 5/5
Can’t say about breakfast cuz l didn’t eat
- 5/5
Accommodating staff and clean room and shuttle services and great location. Room had a nice view.
- 1/5
Charges $30 a day for parking wasn't advertised. No free breakfast
- 4/5
The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was very courteous. The view of the downtown from the room was very nice as well. Overall a comfortable stay.
- 5/5
Everything good other than 1 elevator working
- 1/5
The hotel was under construction smelled horrible and front desk said due to construction their were no high floor rooms available…
- 3/5
Takes to long to get our deposit back.
- 5/5
Loved it
- 4/5
The room was clean. Expected a cleaner toilet bowl.
- 5/5
The shuttle driver, Dave, was exceptional and represented the hotel very well. Friendly and accommodating- great guy!
- 5/5
Had an issue with the AC in first room. Guest service stepped in quickly to reassigned another room. Hotel and location was great!
- 4/5
Simple hotel, Clean and comfortable. Great value. Check-in good. Desk manger very nice. Only odd thing was the elevator. One was for staff and one guests but when we called the elevator, the staff one always came so we used it. No big deal. Would definitely stay again.
- 1/5
Room was not clean
- 4/5
Room was very clean. We were very happy with the free shuttle
- 5/5
Clean room and the courtesy shuttle.
- 2/5
Found a drug bag in the coffee maker, they did not clean the coffee maker after informed, outdoor patio not open because of construction, and bed was bot comfortable.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable. Courteous staff
- 5/5
It’s right next to the Houston rail line, and they also have a courtesy shuttle for very short distances. Entrance to the building is only accessible with your room key. The front desk clerk wasn’t the friendliest, but he was efficient and informative.
- 5/5
Is was a nice room and good service
- 3/5
Small rooms average everything
- 5/5
The manager was also
- 3/5
Booked this hotel because of restaurant/bar in hotel and open terrace to enjoy the city. Hotel was under construction, terrace was closed and so was restaurant. None of this was stated at time of booking. Disappointed to say the least. Not what I paid for
- 1/5
There was no damage. You did not return the extra fee.
- 5/5
Clean room, very comfortable, shampoo body wash smell nice, shuttle car is an excellent add on, within 1.5 miles complimentary from the hotel is most satisfying. Nancy, the driver is super friendly and nice, always greet guests with a smiles . Very pleasant stay at the hotel. Absolutely will book again.
- 5/5
Conveniently located downtown with parking on site at $30/per night. Lots of nearby restaurants and other attractions.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the hotel was quiet.
- 3/5
Didn’t like
- 5/5
Ian at the front desk was fantastic. Good representative for the company. Room was clean.
- 3/5
It was okay rooms were old
- 4/5
The room is OK
- 5/5
Clean and nice
- 5/5
Very nice staff. Had an amazing stay here.
- 1/5
Room was average. Elevators were slow and extremely small. Towels were like paper And got fraudulently charged $150 extra cleaning fee
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 3/5
You can access the property if you don’t have the room access card as outside doors are looked
- 4/5
The coffee machine was broke
- 4/5
Would have liked luggage storage till fligh out, front desk denied having bellman duties for luggage storage
- 5/5
I appreciate the holiday inn having a shuttle. I used it multiple with no major issues. The hotel is in a nice area. I also appreciate being able to have breakfast every morning. I wish the gym had better equipment to use. I do plan to rebook with them when I’m back in Houston.
- 4/5
Everything was good. The only aspect of the room that I would definitely change is the water pressure on the shower, low to no pressure at all, which made it difficult to rinse the soap on my body.
- 5/5
Great room with great staff. Very clean. Loved that the hotel was walking distance to the game.
- 5/5
Almost attacked by a homeless person in front of the hotel while waiting for a shuttle bus
- 4/5
Horrible parking garage. You have to walk down form the 3rd level to get to the elevator on the 2nd level. It’s very dangerous if someone is driving up and not paying attention. It’s also an inconvenience to carry luggage doing so.
- 1/5
All night you can hear people drag racing outside. Parking lot is beyond unsafe, small confined, low ceilings, pipes everywhere, staff not very helpful and sometimes waited till they acknowledge you. My girlfriend left an ear ring on accident in our room. I called back 3 times in two days. They either tell you call and talk to someone later or we will email if we find it. Literally the house keeper was cleaning room right next to ours when we left so I know she has the ear ring
- 4/5
Room was clean and staff was very friendly and professional.
- 4/5
The overall stay was great. But the parking was every dangerous. To go up or down, there was a VERY UNSAFE hill that you had to stop on in order to swipe your card. If you parked in the basement it was like being under a garage in a scary movie. If you parked up, the first row was on a slant and higher just was dark. There was alot of debris and large stacks taking up space. Its downtown, so there was no street parking, but i honestly feel like had it been, I would have felt safer.
- 5/5
The breakfast was great every time. The shuttle (Nancy!) was an awesome perk and super useful to get around. The room was clean and everyone was super helpful.
- 3/5
It was an average hotel at best. The pool and deck were closed for renovations. The bar was closed and the restaurant was only open for breakfast.
- 1/5
Nothing worked. No hot water. Ac wouldn't shut off. My husband got stuck in the elevator. Stains everywhere
- 5/5
Best hotel and service ever! Would go back and highly recommend booking your stay!
- 4/5
Clean room, comfy bed, good food, especially the waffke maker at breakfasy easy access to transportation.
- 5/5
Room was clean. Check in was easy. Spacious room. Nice clean bathroom. Location is amazing. Right beside a train stop that takes you to NRG stadium. Easy walk to either one of the other sports stadiums.
- 3/5
They charge a lot for breakfast/parking which should cost less or be included in my opinion.
- 4/5
Very comfortable bed
- 3/5
Staff was friendly. The room was clean, quiet, had a mini fridge, and microwave. The bed was comfortable. The hotel shuttle was a great convenience. There were multiple times the room key did not work despite being re-magnitized or a new one issued. Disappointed the patio terrace was closed. Hotel website had dining amenity listed but was permanently closed. There was no mention of daily parking fee and daily $100.00 deposit on website. The parking garage needs better signage and was narrow.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Location was great. And they had a shuttle service to local areas.
- 5/5
Thank you for such great customer service 🙏
- 3/5
They didn't restock the makeup remover wipes or the coffee cups
- 5/5
Yes!!! Grits, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, toast, cereal, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, milk and many jelly packs and coffee assesories. Go plates a plus!!
- 5/5
Clean room. Staff were excellent, friendly and helped with all our questions. Made great recommendations.
- 3/5
Stressed and unhappy staff.
- 5/5
Very nice and clean. Had cookies at the front. AC works great, nice showe
- 5/5
Great staff and excellent hotel. The parking lot was unfortunately very cumbersome. The lack of elevators in the parking lot was grueling and painful to take luggage to and from my vehicle, and not having an elevator in the parking garage with my limited mobility was almost enough to make me sleep in my car. It's a shame that the parking lot was such a massive inconvenience because the hotel itself is fantastic; the staff was amazing and accommodating, the amenities were great, and the room was cozy. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to more able bodied people, but can't recommend it to anyone who relies on mobility devices like I do if you have a vehicle and need to use the parking garage.
- 4/5
Paying for continental breakfast is crazy and parking lot where every other hotels is free. 👎
- 1/5
Breakfast was horrible
- 5/5
Overall good service.
- 5/5
It was a great experience, I would stay here again!
- 2/5
We left after 5 min in the room just didnt feel safe
- 5/5
stay was wonderful
- 3/5
Room was very clean. But, lobby was like a “ pay by the hour” hotel, the area for breakfast was a disused restaurant, the parking garage was filthy and very cramped, overall, not worth the prices they charge
- 3/5
Clean and convenient location
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay.
- 5/5
Everything was fantastic!
- 5/5
Great staff, room was amazing, we loved our overnight stay here.
- 3/5
not bad hotel , just didn’t have no alcohol there
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay here and the staff was super accommodating. The only issue I had was the constitution being done one the building was super loud and made it hard to think, BUT the staff was super understanding and moved my room to a more quieter part of the hotel.
- 5/5
Stayed here during the International Quilt Show and the shuttle service was excellent! Did not need a car!!!!
- 1/5
1) Parking is difficult. If you have a car that is lower to the ground, you will have a hard time entering and exiting the parking garage. It is extremely steep. You will need to use your room key to enter (which is understandable) AND exiting. Parking is $25/day (self parking, which is still reasonable.) 2) When you are checking in, you will be charged an additional $10/night "amenities fee. This is on top of the $45 service fee you originally pay when booking on Expedia. You will also find a notice informing you they are doing renovation work. The hotel charges $100 PER night deposit. 3) The double rooms are TINY. The bathrooms have no counter space. The desk in the room is basically useless, especially if you need to use it for your laptop or have any paperwork. They have a Keurig placed directly in the middle of the workspace that is not moveable. 4) Hot water is an issue. It barely gets hot enough to even cause steam. (This is with it turned as hot as it will go.) 5) Breakfast is minimal at best. And let's face it, it's not free considering the amenity fee per nught and there are no amenities. 6) Oh, #6. Management is a complete joke. I woke up the second morning of my stay with bed bug bites covering my lower legs. Red, itchy bites. I immediately went down to the front desk to tell management and show them the bites. I was told the mana
- 5/5
No complaints overall perfect for price
- 5/5
The location was downtown which in most cities is always rundown, but renovations are underway.
- 4/5
Good room, fair location. They should go ahead yes have been more up front about the construction that was going on at the hotel. Also, we had cold water in the shower. They weren’t able to fix it, but did a good job offering an alternative solution.
- 5/5
nice hotel
- 5/5
The hotel was clean and bed was comfortable. Just the surrounding areas was not clean but it was safe.
- 1/5
The pictures of the room had a balcony and a bath tub and the suite that I paid to much for had neither of these and that was the reason I paid so much. Talked to staff and they did nothing to make it right.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful experience and view from our room was so nice. I love the Dove products! They have Dove lotion, conditioner, shampoo, and body wash. Will definitely be returning!
- 5/5
My stay was great
- 5/5
Really good hotel
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay staff was friendly!
- 2/5
Tv was broken, but maintenence came quickly. Bathroom had weird configuration.
- 3/5
While the property was clean, it was run down. The tub had a drip. The TV didn't work. The water wouldn't get really hot. Overall I would not say here again, especially for $250 a night plus an additional $25 to park.
- 5/5
All good.
- 5/5
Nice place. Good location.
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable and safe place
- 4/5
Nice place
- 5/5
Staff is excellent! Super nice and very helpful. Rooms were amazing and super clean!! All staff did and excellent job!!!! Thanks so much!!!
- 4/5
Friendly and helpful staff and a clean tidy hotel, but beginning to feel a little tired in places.
- 4/5
pretty chill, in a great spot. quick service, had an issue with our keys but was able to easily get a new one.
- 5/5
Went to an Astros home game and the Holiday Inn was an awesome choice for a place to stay. The hotel has a shuttle that took us to the stadium. The hotel is clean, has a good breakfast, and conveniently located downtown. There was no rooftop lounge/bar but that didn’t matter since there were other places close to the hotel. Will definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
They get you with fees. They do not tell you when you book. You get an email the day before telling y I i about the $100 per night incidental change paid up front, $25 per day parking fee. Then when you get there a $10 per night amenities fee. Someone will need to show me the amenities. The staff was lack luster and uninformed. The rooms are small the bathroom has zero counter space. This property is a 6 at best no way it's an 8.8.
- 3/5
Hotel was clean, but the rooms were a little more dated than I would have anticipated. The rooms were also very noisy, and several machines were out of order in the workout room. Overall, I expected more for the price I paid.
- 5/5
It was very clean and all the staff was friendly
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
Easy access to downtown
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
breakfast was very good, as was the local shuttle. Excellent staff, but a lot of add on fees.
- 5/5
House Keeping was on point. My room was immaculately cleaned by Madam Consuelo. Good Job!
- 3/5
Great location. Staff was okay. Rooms a little outdated. Overall good
- 4/5
Hotel charges an amenity fee because I booked through a third party which is disappointing.
- 5/5
I like everything… Pro
- 4/5
Good
- 3/5
For two days it was okay
- 4/5
I like the staff very friendly and always ready to help. I like the variety for breakfast that is important as is the first meal of the day and be able to chose what you are use to have is important as fresh fruits yogurt eggs juice coffee bread cereal tea . Is clean and that is very important, The only think I did not enjoy to much is the luck of Chanel to see good programs
- 5/5
Rooms were great, shuttle service was awesome & breakfast was big & delicious. Staff was friendly. I had a great stay.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean.
- 5/5
Very nice staff
- 5/5
The rooms were clean
- 5/5
I love the shuttle service because no restaurants were in the hotel. I loved the self par8but not $100 per night incidentals. Too high in my opinion
- 3/5
The rooms were average but a little outdated. The elevator door didn’t always work so we did use the stairs. The hotel charged me more than what I booked on Expedia. They told me they couldn’t honor Expedia’s rate. Expedia also tried to call them and they couldn’t work out a resolution. Expedia also told me that was the chance I took for not prepaying ahead of time.
- 1/5
My 1 year old throw up on her blanket and a small amount got on the sheet I was charged 135.00 for deep cleaning, breakfast was horrible, not a variety and was always cold…. There are so much hidden fees, what every they show you online expect to pay twice the amount! This place was horrible all around and not for family

Location of hotel was really good only thing was that we had to pay for parking and be careful with all the fees other than that it was nice

The stay was great. The staff was amazing and very helpful. The breakfast was ok. I made a waffle in the shape of Texas, which was cute.Just an FYI, they charge $25/day for parking. That parking garage has pretty graffiti, but going up to those gates are a steep hill. It made me feel like i was going to tear up my car. That's my only complaint. The room was nice and cozy. The bed was comfortable and the view was decent. The shuttle takes you anywhere within a 1.5 mile radius which is nice because we went to the House of Blues. Overall, the hotel is nice, just didnt like how steep it is trying to get through the gate and having to swipe my card to get out. If someone was behind me, i would have hit them. I know they can't fix this issue, but it hurt my car.

Dirty, noisy. Miscellaneous charges

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small but clean and beds were comfortable.

Worst customer service they have fees that they don’t tell you about when booking online but when you check in they have all these fees they throw on you place is not clean parking garage looks like a rat motel horrible and scary the area surrounding the hotel is scary and doesn’t feel safe overall book at your own risk.

The website shows an on-site restaurant but it is no longer open.
- 4/5
The hotel was conveniently located. The only thing that was a little annoying was their parking garage. Not easy to maneuver, and then to leave, you had to use your room key to open the gate (which you had to use to get in originally), so that was annoying. Other than that, hotel was nice, and so were the staff.
- 4/5
The amenity charge, could have been detailed upon checkin. The amenity charge is automatically entered on the bill. I had to call the front desk when I was checking out to see what that charge was for.
- 4/5
The hotel was great! Except for all the fees.. mandatory fee, deposit, parking fee. All together it was more than the room itself.
- 5/5
This is a great place to stay. Room and facilities are clean and the included breakfast is amazing

Hotel was clean and great service

Nothing much to share, made my experience easier despite the various inconveniences I had to deal with coming to them

Stayed here for a couple nights and the stay was okay. Parking was frustrating to use a keycard to swipe in and out when the machine to swipe was on a steep slope. Rooms were okay…loved the bathroom.

Good service overall

Very clean, friendly staff. Would book again.

The property was nice and clean. Only thing I didn’t like is that I booked through Expedia and there was a $25 a day amenity charge. Not sure what that was for. It wasn’t like I ordered room service or anything. We came to visit Houston and we only sleep there. It was nice coming in one day and seeing baked cookies at the front.

Comfortable, conveniently located to where I needed to go.
- 5/5
Would stay again.

Great location for anyone in downtown Houston. Easy to get around, public transportation is easily accessible. Parking garage was safe and checked by security often. Expect some outdoor noise as downtown can get busy.
- 5/5
The best part of the trip was the breakfast. The selection and staff that helped us was a pleasant change from other holiday inns.

The place was clean and the bed was comfortable.

I left the front counter headed to the 4th floor to my room and opened my assigned room and a horrible smell of poop as soon as the door opened up, not to mention a room that had work equipment in front the of the bathroom. I had to go back down to the front counter to be placed in a room down the hall from friends m the same room that was a disaster inside due to construction inside or some type of plumbing issue. The desk clerk offered me some chips and 2 cans of sofa. Such an insult to humanity. We were able to take pictures of the room before the new room was assigned. Horrible experience to say the least.

Great property if you want a prime downtown location. Easy access to the convention center and passport office. Walking distance to SPIRE nightclub and Pour Behavior. Hotel is very casual and cozy with 24-hr front desk and business center. Covered parking garage is available for a $25 daily rate with in/out privileges.

It was nice

Unexpected fees

The staff was nice. The shuttle driver was amazing! Advertisement when I booked, led me to believe that their was an indoor pool. There is no pool of any kind. The breakfast was disgusting. Beds were hard and mini fridge did not work.

By far the worst hotel I’ve been in my entire life and would be sure to let all my followers know NOT to stay at this unprofessional child ran “hotel” complete waste of not only my money but a waste of steps walking thru those doors and talking with those morons at the front desk let alone the manager

Friendly staff. Comfortable bed.
- 5/5
The front desk staff were very professional & knowledgeable. I like the idea that the hotel offers shuttle service.
- 3/5
The room and breakfast area is a clean.Their breakfast it was basic breakfast, and parking lot It was stinky.
- 3/5
The staff was friendly. The property isn't as up to date as other Holiday Inn's I've stayed with. Very pricey with a lot of hidden fees and very few amenities (no pool). It was however very close to the Toyota Center.
- 3/5
The gate going in needs ALOT of repair. Blue tape all over it - very sketchy looking. They charge you for things you dont even use. It says valet available but from the looks of area I highly doubt it. Never offered.
- 4/5
Street noise, even on the sixth floor, was excessive. Housekeeping did not visit on the first day. Front desk and shuttle staff were friendly and professional. Though not advertised as such on their website, the onsite restaurant, Burger Theory is only open for breakfast (until 9:00 on weekdays and 10:00 on weekends).

great stay

Wonderful staff and the room was very clean.

The fees hotel.com had on site and my receipt that I was supposed to pay did not match . A lot of noise under construction. Garage access was super poor only stairs available
- 5/5
The front door locking was concerning but made for a secure feel. The elevators are very slow though. Everything else was perfect!
- 5/5
Friendly staff!
- 3/5
Just outdated and it was a pain finding parking in the tiny parking garage that you have to pay extra for.

I really enjoyed my stay. My room was clean. That front and kitchen staff were excellent as well.
- 4/5
The hotel is in a nice location. We went to an event at Toyota center and it was within walking distance. The Daikin Stadium location on the information, however, is not true. It is not as close as stated. We did use the shuttle, which was a definite bonus. We were overcharged. I took that up with the front desk and they changed that. Still waiting to see what we will be charged when the charges fall off my bank account. Others were at the front desk questioning their bill at the same time.
- 3/5
They charge you for parking for each night upon arrival that should definitely be disclosed online before purchase

Ive enjoyed my stay folks were awesome and friendly

Room attendant broke my nearly new perfume and wouldn’t admit. Hotel refused to provide compensation of equivalent value.
