Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating its location, complimentary breakfast, and friendly staff. However, the rooms are frequently criticized for being outdated, dirty, and having issues such as non-working lights and A/C. The train noise is also a common complaint.

It’s a very old and rundown property. I really didn’t even feel safe sleeping at night.
- 5/5
Me and my family loved our stay spectacular staff and rooms. No problem at all very safe motel. Only 30 mins from beach, nice cold pool and clean towels. Dog friendly but rooms smell as if it wasn’t. Enjoyed it we will be back.
- 2/5
The hotel is really old and right next to the train track. It’s close to Great Park and freeway. It’s good if you don’t mind the noise.
- 4/5
Regular hotel next to freeway and gas station. It would be a little better if it was next to a busy train track. They come by late at night and early morning.
- 5/5
Great customer service ,food provided for breakfast
- 1/5
That placed looked like the bates motel. You should take them off your platform. Its just looked dirty. There was a big glob of hair on the floor. Its like a prison the outside and inside. I was there every bit of 5 minutes and got my money back. I had to find 3 more rooms at the last minute and pay extra. This is a disappointing experience to Irvine
- 1/5
We also had issues with both of our keys the following day and couldn’t get in. We went to the front desk to get another set. While in line, I found out that other guests had the same issues, claiming that it was happening daily. The staff said it must have gotten desensitized due to our phone or wallet. Reasonable. It does happen. I held the new keys in my hands as I walked back to the room. Again, both those keys did not work. They insisted again that it got desensitized, but how could it when it was never in my pocket with my phone or wallet. Gave me another set and you guessed it. It did not work again. The staff was apathetic and I was fed up. I asked to be checked out right away. I was able to get my money back for the unused days after I pushed for it. It was my fault for selecting this hotel even though it had a low rating (6.8 out of 10). It was the closest in proximity to the Great Parks in Irvine (5 minutes). Next time, I would pay double and drive 30 minutes out for a much better hotel and experience.

More importantly, for safety concerns, the door was not equipped with a dead bolt lock.
- 2/5
Disappointing
- 5/5
Great way to use old silos.
- 5/5
All good. I stay here about twice a month for work.
- 3.5/5
The bed was very comfortable! The cement walls
- 5/5
Helpful staff, clean rooms with excellent running air conditioner. Thankful the ice machine was close by. No smoking is an important item when choosing a hotel. Location excellent right off the 5 freeway was a big plus also.
- 3/5
Electronic door locks are old and need to be replaced. Carpets are very old, worn, and dirty.
- 3.5/5
Good
- 5/5
Nice clean place to stay as long as your hotel room is not on the train side. It will wake you up at night.
- 3/5
Good price for the quality.
- 3/5
The staff was not helpful with changing the room. The room was noisy and marijuana smell was coming from outside.
- 4/5
Clean and really comfortable room
- 3/5
Basic bare minimum overpriced California hotel with the rudest counter staff we’ve ever encountered.
- 1.5/5
Just location I’m not sure if La Quinta chain management has ever inspected this property. The lobby furniture, carpets are old, room is smelly which is hard to tolerate. We canceled the reservation after 1 hour of checking in.
- 3/5
Would rate probably about a 2.5 overall. It got us through the weekend in Cali but I'd say if you had to stay longer than a day or two go somewhere else. The jacuzzi does not work. The one whole side of the hotel is RIGHT next to a train track which we didnt know, so we had to be asked to be moved after the first night of no sleep. Both rooms were the same level of clean, which was not very.. and unfortunately one elevator smelled like someone had pooped in it and they barely wiped it up. Definitely a different feel at this hotel then others we've experienced before.
- 5/5
Enjoyed the breakfast and cold AC
- 3/5
La Quinta tends to be a good balance of lower price but still reasonably good accommodations in my experience. Unfortunately, this particular location was a bit lacking on my recent visit. First, there is a train track that runs right next to the property with trains that went by in the 11pm hour. Second, the hot tub did not work on our visit... I asked about this at the front desk and was it told it worked. The room itself was fine, the bed and linens and all of that were fine so no issue there. We stayed there for a baseball tournament, and being close to the fields to get more sleep and having a hot tub to soak in after a multi-game day were the priorities and this location did not meet those and did not mention active train tracks. I won't be staying at this location again given other options nearby for a minimal increase in cost.
- 1/5
This situation is completely unacceptable. We evacuated our home and trusted your hotel to provide a safe place to stay, only to end up with bed bug bites. This is the last thing we should be dealing with during an already stressful time. We need a full refund immediately. I can provide pictures of the bites and any additional documentation you require, but this should not even be necessary given the severity of the issue.
- 3/5
The breakfast should provide more selection like bacon egg
- 4/5
Good
- 4/5
Clean and safe Needs a paint job in and out
- 1/5
Got put in the back housing where the concrete walls were never finished and the coaster train was not more the 25 ft from the window of our room and the coaster ran all hours of the night keeping us up everytime it passed by the building. floors were carpeted but had never been shampood at all washed our feet off and made a wash rag completely black from how dirty the floors were in the rooms.

The rooms and furniture are outdated, there are roaches and mold.

Good location, right near a dennys and jack in the box good for a quick bite too , good options for the complimentary breakfast. In our room, the bathtub wouldn’t drain immediately so the water would fill up and take awhile to go down

I checked in around 3 p.m., dropped off my belongings, and left for my child’s game. When I came back about two hours later, I noticed how horrible the room actually was and decided to check out immediately. I do not recommend this hotel.

Room is too dark, Furniture is damaged, Bathroom light is dirty, Water damage at bathroom door

place was clean kinda hard to complain i mean a door didn't work
- 1/5
Dirty bathtub, very loud train passing by every 20-30 minutes. Ended up not staying there, got a room at a different hotel. Disappointing because this hotel was much closer to the event we were attending.
- 2/5
Staff was super helpful and friendly, but the room felt dirty and not only had stains on the carpet but was not properly cleaned, even having hair in the shower (that was not ours). We were going to stay another night but decided to find another hotel instead.
- 3/5
Sink and shower drainage is stock up. The noise of the train passing outside your window is terrible.
- 2/5
molds in the fridge
- 1/5
DONT RECOMENT THIS HOTEL IS TERRIBLE AND AIR CONDICIOING NO WALKNG TERRIBLE EXPERISE DONT LIKE THIS HOTEL
- 3/5
My stay was short and simple. I saw a concert down the street, then used the room to sleep for 7 hours. The hotel did its job. The pictures make this place appear better-looking than in person. If you care about appearance of the property, this isn’t a 5/5.
- 1/5
I left and came back at the end of the day, elevator and door was still out of order. I went straight to the front desk with my 10 year old son and complained again hoping to get some answers or solution. The rude staff was still there. My son and I left but the rude staff followed us outside and took more videos. I went back inside and told her that she has no right to take a video of my son. I asked for the hotel manager and said that he was on vacation. I called the cops to file a report and got an incident number. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. They will not offer any solution or apologize for any inconvenience.
- 2/5
Room smelled damp. Noticed a cockroach before checking out of the room. Bathtub drain plug was stuck in place; had to take a shower standing in rising puddle of water.
- 5/5
Very clean room; the staff was very helpful and customer service-oriented! Great job!
- 1/5
So bad experience. The room was dirty. No remote control for the tv. The room smells so bad.
- 1/5
The bed cover had brown stains on it. Our rooms were immediately changed but in general everything looks dusty and unkempt. The mattress was showing age and uncomfortable. I will not be staying here in the future
- 5/5
AC was not working very well. & the rooms seemed old & dirty. They had a misty smell to them.
- 4/5
Light weight bedding was different to me but good, No hair dryer.
- 5/5
Convenient location and friendly staff. If your room is on the train-side you might be bothered if you're a light sleeper, but I didn't find it a problem.
- 1/5
When I checked in they didn’t tell me that a passenger train went every 1-2 hours by literally 2 meters from my room window.
- 2/5
The rooms smell a bit musty, the shower leaks and the water is hard. The WiFi is not great and cuts out a lot. Staff is kind, but the experience wasn’t what I had expected based on photos posted. Breakfast was also lackluster.
- 1/5
I left after 10 minutes . I was put in a cement room with one window facing a train track that was 50 feet from me. the woman told me that trains go by all night.. no thanks.
- 4/5
I thought the staff was friendly. The breakfast was large and well stocked. The restrooms had plenty of towels and the like. The carpet was pretty dirty but not smelly. I liked staying there and they aren't trying to add more to the bill.
- 1/5
Smelled like cigarettes and me and my wife couldn’t stay it looked like it had bed bugs we left immediately and booked at another olace
- 3/5
Lots of freeway and road noise throughout the night. Bring good earplugs. The beds were nice, and parking was free. Breakfast decent. Staff was very friendly
- 1/5
I’ve stayed at other La Quinta Hotels before and it wasn’t bad .But this location in Irvine was horrible we checked in and saw how horrible the rooms are and checked out in less than 15 mins this place should be investigated for how poorly the whole place looks. Only good part is the refunded our money it was almost like they were not surprised how fast we came back to the front desk to check out.
- 3/5
The directions to room in Silo were confusing and i explained i was with my mother in a walker and needed to understand better. She was less than helpful. The room window was literally 15 ft from traintracks that had trains going by till 11pm which would rattle the windows and was super loud. Neither us slept till they stoppee going by. The shower wouldnt stop dripping all night loud enough to hear in the room and there were broken tiles in bathroom. For the price it was fine for 1 night but wouldnt recommend staying there.
- 1/5
The breakfast was a,gazing, the staff for the most part was cool except one Hispanic girl she had a attitude problem and she worked the front desk, but the place was filled with cigarette smoke and alcohol. Bathrooms really bad. I will not be staying here ever again.
- 2/5
Bad loaction, Train passing near by every 20-30 minutes,
- 3/5
If you want a restfull sleep, dont take the room on the traintracks side. She asked me, and I didn't really think about it, but I regret my decision. I left a personal item in the room after checkout, called an hour later, they said the room hasn't been cleaned yet. Called around 5pm, asked about the item, the lady at the front desk said I was welcome to come back and check the room, since it hadn't been cleaned yet, but she couldn't leave the front desk. I couldn't make it that evening. I came the next morning. Was told the room was cleaned and already booked out. Nobody knew about a personal item. Kind of annoying since I called twice, spoke to 2 different people, but nothing got communicated amongst staff. I love the Silo's. I love this location, but things are starting to fall apart as far as La Quinta staff and managment are concerned.
- 3/5
I think and I mean I THINK it had bed beg cause something was bitting me at night
- 1/5
we had to leave. don’t do it.
- 1/5
We were given a room that hadn't been cleaned. Sheets and pillows were bunched up on top of the bed and the window was left wide open, just as a train was passing by. When we exited the elevator on the third floor, the hallway leading up to the room had a strong smell of marijuana. I requested a refund and stayed somewhere else.
- 2/5
Two stars because the bed and bathroom appeared very clean. The room smelled like smoke and mold (we don't smoke), walls, carpets and flooring were not very clean. The continental breakfast was good. There's was what appeared to be a smelly drunk man, spread on the floor by the stars landing, hours after we informed the front desk. He asked for food or money every time we went by.
- 1/5
CHECKED AT 355. ROOM IS NOT CLEAN!!! NASTY SMELL ROOM!!! NASTY SEWAGE SMELL BATHROOM!! CARPET AND COUCH IS LIKE HOMELESS LEAVES THERE!!! WYNDHAMM WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU!?!? THIS THE IS WORST PROPERTY YOU OWNED THAT ME AND MY FAMILY STAYED!!! NEVER AGAIN AND PLEASE AVOID THIS PROPERTY!!!!

- 4/5
Great location!
- 2/5
Ac was good and pool was dirty hot tub did not work train was loud every hour
- 3/5
TV unable to lower volume Jacuzzi not working
- 5/5
Very honest people. Apparently, I left my credit card in the room by mistake and housekeeping, found it and turned it in. Someone then called me and let me know that my credit card was there and that it was gonna be kept safe and I want picked it up the next day.
- 2/5
The room was clean and the staff were helpful when we could not find any cups. The bathroom shower had no liquid body soap in the 16 oz. dispenser. The breakfast was very good, the coffee excellent with real half and half was available. We have been coming here for years and the kitchen staff(name I think is Daniel) has always had the breakfast ready on time. The heat worked fine and the shower water was hot and there was an adequate number of towels
- 2/5
This hotel is old, outdated, and filthy. Doors, windows, and floors were all very dirty upon my arrival. When checking out, no one asked about my stay. I do not recommend this hotel.
- 1/5
For being a place they know people travel too it was pretty depressing. Hot tub was cold being from minnesota adults were looking forward to that. Hotub jets only two worked. Train tracks directly behind second building which is where they stuck us also on second building were the meth heads and dogs. Dealt with the shower not being able to turn off so had to shut bathroom door to sleep. They only clean if u request and give 24 hr notice. As a father i would never stay here again the good was the breakfast hotel staff and close to gas station knollwood restaurant and jack in the box. Made for easy meals not having to drive far. I give a 2 out of 5 thats being nice cause my kids enjoyed the pool.
- 1/5
Checked in and immediately checked out. Gross
- 2/5
Not worth for money.
- 1/5
Bathtub needed repair. I don’t know why she put a set of room right next to the railroad but we left in 30 minutes. It was deafening. Do not recommend the parking lot had trash around it come on. You can do better than that guys.
- 1/5
The room was not clean and I didn't even stay. I asked for a refund.
- 2/5
Tv was not working, light in the restroom was also not working, tub was clogged, jacuzzi was not working as well.
- 5/5
Rooms looked so cool, my kids and bf loved the room. Breakfast was great. Just a great place and check in was very fast
- 2/5
Young brunette girl at front desk was very unfriendly and not helpful at all
- 5/5
Breakfast was plentiful and everyone was happy. Outstanding staff. We are looking forward to the next stay.
- 4/5
Old worn out carpet. Not essential amenities in the bath room. Breakfast was ok.

- 5/5
I stayed here for a local work assignment and the proximity to highway access was great.
- 1/5
The train runs immediately behind this hotel. every 15-30 minutes from 5:30 AM to Midnight
- 4/5
The furnishings are very dated. But the a/c worked great. Was clean and quiet. Did not try breakfast
- 5/5
Never had breakfast because it closes at 9am. Too early to close.
- 1/5
Additionally, the room had a strong cigar smell despite being booked as a non-smoking room, which made the environment very uncomfortable. There were also multiple maintenance issues: The ice machine on my floor was not working The hot tub was out of service Staff informed me there was no maintenance personnel available overnight When I contacted the front desk regarding the broken door and safety concern, I was told I would have to wait until 6:00 AM for assistance. This response was unacceptable given the seriousness of the issue. To make matters worse, there was a high-speed police chase that ended directly in front of the hotel during the night. Given that my room was not secure, this situation significantly increased my fear and anxiety and prevented me from sleeping at all.
- 2/5
Dirty carpet, dirty tub. Very close to the train tracks, you can hear and feel the vibration when train is passing by. Breakfast isn’t good.
- 2/5
Dark like a dungeon. Unclean, leaking shower. Unfriendly staff.
- 3/5
Clean room. Room smelled musty. Runny bathroom tub faucet. Old building.
- 4/5
Being up to the hotel is made from an existing grain storage building it is like a concrete bunker. It is neat in its own right a little claustrophobic for some. The only downside is the trains they went by quite frequently even though they said they wouldn't have night time they were running well past midnight and as early as 5:00 in the morning
- 1/5
Tub had a lot of stains. This hotel looks like a bunker and it is so close to the train tracks that it is hard to sleep.
- 1/5
Never will stay there again
- 1/5
Dirty carpets, weed smell in the elevator, train pass every 2 hours.
- 1/5
I booked a room, and when I got to it, the room had not been cleaned since its last use. However, the front desk said it was the last room available and the cleaners had already left for the day. The hotel said they had canceled the booking from their end and that I would get a refund, advising me to find a different hotel. I did get my refund from Expedia this time, but I just found out the hotel never canceled the booking and is sticking to a no-refund policy. If I had believed their lie and hadn't checked my credit card record, I would have been scammed.
- 2/5
The whole building is old and run down. Stains in the bathtub and bathroom floors. Faucet was leaking. The whole place needs an update and remodel. Kept getting kicked off wi-fi. Continental breakfast did not include hot eggs. Just cold boiled eggs. Good thing there were 2 restaurants across the parking lot. I wouldn’t stay here again.
- 1/5
Don’t recommend cockroach’s everywhere clogged bathtub too dirty bed covers
- 3/5
This is an old building that was a barley and bean silo/processing plant way back. Repurposed into a hotel and pretty cool for the value but it is right beside a train track and depending on which side you are on it’s quite loud and trains run through the night and vibration is quite noticeable. We move to the rooms side not next to the tracks and the noise was way less noticeable but could still feel vibrations but minimal. It’s a one and done stay for me.
- 3/5
Found 1 cockroach in the bathroom Internet did not work, could not watch netflix Like that there was microwave and fridge. Just was not able to use them so I'm not sure if they worked. Carpet definitely needs to be changed. Love the ease on using the shower and the necessities provided like shampoo, conditioner, etc. Staff was ok. Front desk was ok. But cafeteria lady was very helpful and great.
- 4/5
All 3 ice machines I found were broken and the toilet ran. Other than that the stay was great
- 3/5
Room looked aged, tub spout was a steady dribble, carpet dingy, drug addicts walking around the property. Didn’t expect this for Irvine. The bed was nicely made, close to food and freeway.
- 4/5
Only complaint is that when I checked in at 11:30PM, there was no mention of the water being off in the building. So when I tried to shower and get ready for my job interview at 8AM, it was a trickle of scalding hot water and the toilet wouldn't flush. I called the front desk (from my cell phone because the in-room phone did not work) and the lady at the front desk basically said tough luck. Hotel itself was nice but I was very disappointed about the lack of communication about not having running water (why put someone in a room with no water??) and the response from the desk when I brought it up.
- 4/5
The rooms in the building with the front desk are 2nd rate. the newer building rooms are in far better shape. We will be back, but will request the newer building.
- 3/5
Think Motel 6- doors face outside. There's a gas station across the street, a train that passes behind hotel and we're by the fwy. 5 min from Great Park. Jacuzzi was not working. Price reflects condition. Both check in and check out gentlemen were accommodating and let us check in early and check out late. Breakfast was basic but perfect for busy parents/kids on the go. There’s a Knolwood and Dennys in the same parking lot hense It’s was noisy all night
- 4/5
Room needs tlc. Some furniture is nicked or cracked, office chair does not raise. Hot water supply is great. Bed and pillows comfortable. Continental breakfast is adequate. Staff helpful and knowledgeable in correcting problems. all said, a good stay.
- 2/5
Dirty, broken spa. No manager on duty to speak with.
- 5/5
Very nice staff. The old building
- 1/5
The room was uninhabitable. Concrete walls, loud train, caution tape across the neighboring door, dark and damp, brown water out of the faucet.
- 5/5
Great room and friendly service! Love the breakfast!
- 2/5
Dirty
- 1/5
Room was filthy. Sheets were not clean.
- 4/5
Beds were comfortable, Waffles hit the spot. I think experiencing a train so close to the building to where you can feel the vibration and sound of the building reminded my son and I of the movie Polar Express. Lol
- 5/5
Great location.
- 4/5
Staff was very nice
- 2/5
Room in poor condition and stains everywhere. Needs an update desperately. Didn’t stay in the “main building” it was a hideous grey concrete building. The windows looked old and disgusting. There was a train going by more than every hour that was so loud it sounded like we were outside next to it. The breakfast was just stuff they threw out on the counters. No scrambled eggs or breakfast meat. Just bread, cereal, and a waffle maker, with some fruit that didn’t look great. Wouldn’t stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it. Not even good for a cheap stay. The staff made check in quick and was helpful which is all I have to say that isn’t negative.
- 2/5
I love the history and location of this hotel, but it has gone down hill since the last time I stayed there. There was an overwhelming smell of mildew or something, almost to the point of gagging. The garbage can had garbage from the previous lodger still in it. Five cop cars in the parking lot the first night, an apparent overdose that I was called to assist with on Sunday night, and then two cop cars in the lot the following morning.
- 1/5
Room was full of mold, dirty, train right outside the window which had no spring on window.
- 3/5
Nowhere in your website does it give the fact that there is a train and that some of the rooms face it. I was there to attend a funeral. Besides the emotions I was kept awake all night. B I find this to be deceptive. Knowing about it at time of check in when there is no time to make other plans is not the way to get return cusy
- 5/5
I love the location it was clean I would definitely go back
- 1/5
Tuvimos que cancelar el hotel estaba muy mal estado
- 2/5
The remote control for the TV didn’t work. The only channel I could get was 7. The pillows were too small. The room needed work. The dry wall need replacing in the bathroom. The staff was one person at the desk. She replaced the remote but I had the same issue with the new remote. Only the on/off button and volume worked. I could’ve gotten a better room at Motel 6. I expected better from La Quinta.
- 2/5
The room is seriously outdated - 80s looking furniture, bathroom fixtures, and carpeting. Stains (mold?) on ceiling of room. Hallway had a bad smell (urine?). Staff was friendly, but definitely didn't go above and beyond. We stayed in the silo building, which has a lot of potential to be very cool and interesting, but fell very short. I figured being in Irvine, between professional complexes and the Spectrum, it had to be halfway decent. It just overall felt dirty, dingy, and outdated. We were only there for one night while we attended a conference in Irvine, and literally just slept there, showered, and left. I did appreciate that there was a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker (although we didn't use those things). If had been by myself or with my kids, I'd have left.
- 4/5
Convenient!
- 2/5
Is next door to two restaurants, and across the street from a gas station/ convenient store that had lovely workers.
- 5/5
Clean room, amenities getting a bit old, but the breakfast is great!
- 5/5
Room clean, some amenities are getting a little old, but the vibe of the whole place is really cool with its historic construction...
- 2/5
TV remote did not work. Shower gel canister empty. Low levels of shampoo and conditioner. Barely enough to shower.
- 5/5
The deluxe rooms in particular are super cool with their hexagonal shape; the old town vibe is really interesting. Room is clean and very quiet.
- 5/5
Easy checkin, staff was helpful and friendly, great location with some food options adjacent.
- 3/5
We stayed in a 3rd floor room. When we arrived around 11pm, front desk staff did their job, but without a smile. Issued two key cards. One worked. One did not. The elevator door didn’t fully open and let us out into an unlit exterior walkway. The room was okay - your basic mediocre room. A day after our arrival, bathroom light over sink/vanity began flickering. It then went out the next day. No one came to fix it so we had no light. This happened over the holidays so we didn’t press the matter, we just made do! We had to ask for a replacement key card. It did not work. Perhaps the key cards weren’t working because the door didn’t close/lock properly. The hotel is in a convenient location and provides the basics. A few smiles and some light around the property would go a long way to making someone’s stay more pleasant.
- 5/5
Enjoyed my stay
- 1/5
There was a police activity in the hotel, and I saw five police cars outside. I believe the police activity at this hotel seems normal, and the hotel looks like a homeless shelter. Most tenants live there longer, and most have a protected guard dog. The first room we were allocated had a musty smell, and they provided us with another room with no musty odor.
- 2/5
The first room we got the tv didn’t work and there was no one on duty to fix it so we had to change rooms. The 2nd room had no way of plugging in devices near the beds even though other rooms did. The doors to the silo building have no way for a handicapped person with a scooter can get in by themselves.

It was disappointing that overall staff were not friendly or welcoming; possibly they were frustrated that they were working on a holiday. They offered just the most minimal of service here are some examples. I checked in advance of leaving with just one door key and was told staff would need both keys before receiving a final bill. Later I asked for a copy of our final bill upon leaving and was told it was not available and would have to go through Expedia yet the staff read the total expense. I asked for the password to the guest computer in the lobby and was told it was out of order. I checked and it was operational with a password. We'v loved staying at this hotel over the years and hope this is a one time experience. Thank you for asking!

Shayla (spelled her name wrong) but she is awesome!! Ive been here before and every time I come in shes at the front desk and always greeting me with a big smile and a warm welcome!! Great customer service!!
- 2/5
Only hot menu items were wsffles and oatmeal. Room had not bern vacuumed. Staff was not responsive to plumbing issue that needed attention. Noisy location. Bed was comfortable. Price was very good fot location.
- 5/5
Ive been to this hotel a few times and the young lady that helped me out, already knew which floor is my favorite to stay in. She also remembered that I always ask for two extra towels so when she saw me come in she greeted me with a big smile and a warm welcome and already knew I wanted towels before asking. Now thats GREAT customer !! Forgot her name even tho she told me lol I’m sorry, but super sweet young lady

Our assigned room did not have WiFi. We mentioned our concern to office staff, but she offered no solution for us. We returned again and another office staff immediately gave us another room. The room was not in very good shape. But the bed and bathroom were clean.
- 2/5
I don't recommend this place if you are looking to stay in a "Inn" type of accommodation. room in the building behind the hotel registration desk, which is where I was staying, looks rundown and outdated. The wall paints are completed worn out, leaving the shabby concrete wall fully exposed. I never lived in a hotel/motel like this. Annoyingly, the railway is just right off the building, noisy environment, and whenever the train is passing by, the whole building is "earthquaking". Also, the housekeeper should have cleaned the room without me claiming for a room service, at least taking out trashes and replaced new towels.
- 4/5
We have stayed many times here. The room was dark, noisy. The bathroom lighting was faulty flashing off and on. The TV would go black, then back on. Old room, cover the rust in bath, mold at floorboards. Room 212
- 1/5
We had to take the stairs because the elevator door wouldn’t close. We get to our room and as soon as we open it, the smell. Cigarettes and air fresheners. For a nonsmoking room. The tv didn’t work. The window wouldn’t close. The carpet was stained and dirty though out the room. And the shower leaked water.
- 1/5
My first room had a fan drying carpet with a window open. When I went to the front desk and told them the woman helping me didn’t apologize and was in fact rude and annoyed that I needed another room.
- 5/5
Quick and easy and my son loved the history of the hotel. Cool stay

Yes, our room was deluxe 💖💖💖 it was facing the vet hospital, parking lot and front desk area NOT the train tracks 😀 We loved that the rooms are clean, the granary area was cozy, 24/7 coffee, good breakfast people and pets keep to themselves and loved the overall vibe of Old Town Irvine, a little cozy pocket within modern Irvine.
- 5/5
Not much to eat. Room still had trash in trash can.
- 2/5
Not so happy. The free coffee was great the breakfast was not bad. First day opened the microwave and saw a roach run around inside. The carpet was dirty looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. I asked for housekeeping they said you have to ask in advance so they will do your room the day after tomorrow I waited they never did it. My husband complained and the guy said it wasn’t noted here no one told me he said I will make a note and no one ever came. We were there several days garbage overflowing, had to ask for towels and toilet paper. Maybe if they did housekeeping more often there wouldn’t be roaches.
- 1/5
Horrible Room has one side painted and the other bare concrete but its 4 walls and rough with cable so it gets one stare from me also worker banged on door then opened doo without announcing themselves and not reading the do not disturb sign
- 3/5
This was an average "Motel6" experience. While we had little to truly complain about, the hotel appeared to be a 40+ year old property, in great need of renovation, to bring it to the standards that this category of properties is marketed! Ironicly, my 30 year old son was the one that said that he got a Motel6 sort of vibe from the stay, and he is not even old enough to know that FEEL! LOL!! :(
- 5/5
Good stay even with the train noise we didn’t pay attention once we weee sleep
- 1/5
Non-smoking rooms smelled like cigarettes, carpets were really dirty, mold on shower tile, ceiling, top of drywall. Elevator was very dirty. After it rained, the entryway was wet so someone put down a towel in that towel. Stayed there for two days, dirty
- 4/5
It was great
- 2/5
Place was clearly dated. Didn't realize it was a motel (rooms open to outdoors). Paint was chipped and peeling in bathroom. Would not stay again.
- 3/5
The heat not work
- 5/5
Knowing what the guest wants before they ask is always a huge plus! Forgive me for not knowing her name but she’s so sweet.
- 3/5
Mediocre. Room was old, dingy and upon arrival we found some outside bugs inside. None of my requests made via their online pre check-in were accommodated. The room was only cleaned after our 4th day there even though we asked on the 3rd.
- 2/5
When it was time to check out, the staff stood at the door waiting for us to leave, even though we were only 24 minutes late. In most hotels, such a small delay is usually not a problem, but they made it an issue.

- 2/5
My husband stays here every other month. We have noticed the deterioration of the property.
- 4/5
It's a bit quirky as the buiolding we stayed at was originally a grain silo. My family enjoyed the place, the room was huge compared to othe properties. I would recommend to give better maintenance to the whower heads. All in all i'd come back.
- 1/5
The staff was ok but the room was horrible first our room was literally next to a train track so that scared the hell out of me in my sleep every time it came by then it smelled like the dog poured and lastly the toom surrounded us with concrete walls so it felt like we were in jail it was just a horrible experience this was my first and last time here
- 4/5
front desk guy was pleasant, parking was easy. our room was nice and clean however one of the lamps didn’t light up leaving it a little dark. besides that it’s pretty nice value for what you spend
- 2/5
Room key would not work multiple times. The room also smelled really musty as if it was a smoking room which I didn’t want.
- 1/5
loud train will prevent you from sleeping
- 3/5
the room has fleas. the old fixtures need cleaning and or renewed. the bathroom can be re done over at least with paint, the carpet was dirty. dusty everywhere. bed was so lumpy and small not sure if was really a queen. the parking was ok. they sell the worse rooms at a discounts but have less cleanedliness in those rooms
- 4/5

- 5/5
Clean and comfortable room
- 5/5
Thank you everything was great
- 4/5
Room was interesting. It was like part of an old grain storage building or something, made of pure concrete walls. Was able to thoroughly and confidently make the noises I needed to make during adult time.
- 5/5
I recently stayed at this hotel and was very impressed with the overall quality. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. The amenities — especially the breakfast and the pool area — were top-notch. The location was convenient, close to restaurants and attractions, yet quiet enough to relax. You can tell the management takes pride in keeping the property in great condition. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-run place to stay.
- 2/5
The only positive point was the front desk employee who was very kind.
- 4/5
The carpet were heavily stained and the room overlooked a train track such that wee were woken a few times by trains
- 1/5
The parking was ok it felt more like a motel not a hotel, very disappointed. The receptionist told us we were staying in the newly renovated building if that was the new building I would hate to see the old building. We left didn't shower couldn't take it anymore. It's also next to railroad tracks therefore train passed very often so unable to sleep. Horrible experience, not what we expected from the branch name

Like the silo rooms, old Irvine soy bean silos, really cool silos made into hotel rooms.

our room smelled moldy and humid, everything is old, they need to be renovated

Stayed in ths main building. Room was good, very roomy. The bathroom shower needs a bit of maintenance but overall stay was great.

they’re a nice place safe. The young girl friend was very sweet polite.
- 4/5
It was fine for a short stay. The place could use some sprucing up; minor repairs, exterior paint.
- 1/5
The advertising on the website was what got me to book this place however when my son and I arrived we were provided with a room in the back which was unexpected and not at all mention. The big gray building looked intimidating itself, as if it could be part of a prison and has a stench when you enter. Our room was definitely not what I expected nor what was advertised on their site despite the many pictures (wonder why?). My son and I unfortunately checked out a few hours later. I didn't feel comfortable despite the price. I couldn't stand the smell and uncleanliness of the room and building.
- 1/5
We were suppose to stay here from the 3rd to the 9th family vacation for my anniversary and birthday, someone from the front desk had to have given a room key to a unknown man because at 930 at night after i got kids in bed husbabd was already sleeping a man walked in our room and didnt leave till i nudged my husband awake and he yelled at him management STILL has not gotten back yo me and my whole half day of my anniversary i had to find other accommodations as i felt unsafe with my children there it was dirty and stunkso badly like mold and trash it was backinv ul in all water toilet and sink and dripped all night in the tub was an awful experience and i will be looking tk get my full refund from the shady owners if you are traveling as a woman with teen girls or small children watch out the front desk seems like they are trying to run a trafficking ring of some sort giving peoples room keys so glad mh husbabd was there and being that was just me and kids around the hotel i dont think they knew he was there Wyndham needs to cut ties with this and if management does not contact i will be taking step farther remove from your options for safty of your guests!
- 5/5
Check-in was easy as usual although the front desk staff really didn't seem to care to be there. Hospitality was a bit lacking but whatever, maybe it was a bad day... At least greet the guests with a smile and a friendly demeanor. The property itself is great. Easy access to "dog" friendly grassy areas. Small pool area that is well kept and never busy. Food access next door and across the way. If you have a car it's easy to get around and there are tons of options for food, shopping and activities. Breakfast is included - a nice bonus. Nothing fancy, but there is something for everyone. I've always been impressed with the size of the rooms and how "fresh" and clean the rooms are. However, on this last visit I noticed the bathtub was not quite "clean" with "dirty" spots and smudges that I had to clean myself and was able to wash away before using the shower. The tub also needed resurfacing and the hardware replaced as it's seen better days. LQI is worth staying at if you have a furbaby and want affordable, safe and pretty clean
- 5/5
We love staying here
- 2/5
Room was not painted. Walls were bare, concrete. Not what was on original picture. Will not go there again.
- 3/5
Please make sure ALL body soap, conditioner & shampoo is always available and not about to finish. Thank you!!!
- 3/5
The bed mattress wasn’t the most comfortable and the tv volume did not work. Other than that it was ok.
- 3/5
Room was surface clean but stained carpet and pet hair comong up from the tub drain when i started the water was not cool. If you're going to stay in the back building agaonst the train tracks do yourself a favor and accept the free eqr
- 5/5
Awesome place modern ny loft style
- 3/5
The lady at the front desk had zero customer service skills. I always appreciate a friendly smile and good attitude but she did not have that on this day. Our toilet would not flush and while I went to get some help with it my 14 year old daughter managed to fix it by pouring water into the tank 😂 but we still needed it fixes for certain. A friendly maintenance man came and changed out some toilet paraphernalia but left it in the tub. So my daughter had to remove that before she could shower. The toilet was not fixed and made noises and ran all night. The people hanging around the building were a bit sketchy, not sure that they were guests tbh. The building is unique and on my limited budget it’s did the job.
- 3/5
I think may room wall is thin. I stayed at 4th floor. But I heard noise from neighbors.
- 2/5
The second building where our room was, is a converted mill or warehouse. The walls are concrete no paint or anything, just concrete. I was okay with that, but it gave me a fallout shelter feel. My main concern was after the first day of my son's soccer tournament I went to wash his uniforms. One floor of machines was out of order. Okay, things break. The machines are coin operated, and the front desk had no change. They instructed me to go to a nearby business for quarters. Or and here me out, you go get $20 worth of quarters for me if you haven't properly planned ahead for the weekend. You are 0.3 miles away from a complex with 25+ soccer fields, 10+ baseball fields, 10+ softball fields, 4 sand volleyball courts, and basketball courts. Do you not have people staying at your hotel for tournaments. Maybe not, because they were smarter than me.
- 2/5
There is a very bad smell coming from the entrance of the hotel.
- 1/5
Carpets dirty, train noise, understaffed, unsafe furniture/ bedding.
- 5/5
Traveled with a pet and the room and staff were very accommodating and friendly
- 5/5
When we first booked our night, the rooms pictured seemed to be standard modern-ish rooms. The room they assigned us was inside the historic silo warehouse built in 1949 and converted to hotel rooms. We were struck by the cool industrial feel of concrete and metal in the entryway. The room itself was larger than expected and quite comfortable. We were very happy with the concrete walls that provided a lot of sound insulation from the other rooms. There was a train that passed outside several times, but, surprisingly, this did not bother us. The bathroom was clean and comfortable with good water pressure. The continental breakfast had a good variety (though a few more non-dairy options would be good - oatmilk creamer, for instance) 100% would stay there again.
- 3/5
Staff was very helpful, first room smelled horrible, put us in another one and the carpet was dirty. Older property that has not been kept up, outside area was also dirty. Breakfast was good and it was nice having access to coffee and water during the day in the lobby.
- 4/5
Conveniently located in Orange County and very accessible to the 5 Freeway.
- 3/5
Phone in room was dead. Two lamps with no light bulbs right side power outlet in the sink area of bathroom did not work tv screen would not stay on full screen picture. Needed to keep selecting back button on the remote. Several shortcomings. For a la quinta.
- 4/5
Decent for soccer tournaments.
- 4/5
Excellent service. Very clean big room with a super comfy bed. Nice pool. Overall just outdated and worn.
- 4/5
The silo rooms are unique and comfortable, although our bed in room 235 needs a better mattress. The breakfast was very nice every day and the staff was friendly!
- 1/5
There was mold in the bathroom and dirty carpet
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 2/5
I like that it’s affordable but the carpet is black
- 1/5
Could not upload the pictures unfortunately. Red stain on sheets, suspected it to be blood. The carpet was sticky on bare feet. Large red stain on the counter in the bathroom. The towel rack was falling down. Never again.
- 4/5
Nice for the price and accommodating for the two dogs.
- 1/5
Room not cleaned
- 3/5
The bed is good and the food good but one stuff he's so mean.
- 4/5
It was unique in that it used to be a lima bean silo. The staff was friendly.
- 1/5
Property was worn and in deteriorating condition. Carpets were damp and filthy and hadn't been cleaned in what must have been years. Cracked and broken sheetrock walls and broken door frames. On the positive side it was one step above sleeping in your car.
- 2/5
Right next to a train track that runs all night. Impossible to sleep. Little to no light in each unit
- 1/5
Just a plain out dirty, nasty property. La Quinta ought to be ashamed of this property. We will never stay at any of their properties again !!!
- 2/5
Keys wouldn't work for 4 out of 5 days i was there.
- 3/5
Breakfast was good.
- 4/5
Pet friendly & breakfast
- 2/5
The room had a bad smell which made my husband immediately ask if we could leave and sleep somewhere else. The elevator had patched up holes in it. The entire place smelled like cheap floor cleaner. It was just bad. We ended up leaving 2 hours earlier then we had to just to get out of that atmosphere.
- 2/5
The carpet in the room looked like it had survived a frat party, stains everywhere. The couch had mystery marks, the lamp shades had stains on them, and clearly the vacuum cleaner hadn’t seen the inside of that room in a very long time. There was dog hair, debris, and whatever else you don’t want touching your socks. Now for the good news: the beds, sheets, and pillow cases were clean! We checked. No bed bugs *praise Jesus! But just when we thought we’d found the silver lining, we noticed someone had jammed an incense stick into the bathroom outlet which just goes to show you what a terrible job housekeeping did. Honestly, the place had strong “rented by the hour” energy.
- 4/5
The room smelt funny and the water would not shut completely off. They should install an actual laundry facility for family to need to wash clothes. Additionally, I appreciate the breakfast. It was a tremendous help for our trip.
- 1/5
Sink in bathroom was filthy with someone’s hair still in it. We went and complained and the front desk weren’t any help so we left. We didn’t end up staying. The room did not look like it had a good cleaning in awhile.
- 4/5
Very quick and easy check-in. Room was fine although we had a slow runny bathroom sink. Other than that the room was good. Breakfast was good too.
- 1/5
Arguably the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Both elevators broken. Ripped towels. Rude staff. 0/5 stars. Do not stay.
- 2/5
Property is in depleted condition. Smelly rooms, dirty carpets. Will not return here..
- 1/5
Unfriendly staff at check in , remote did not work, extremely poor room and hotel nothing like the pictures , tub extremely dirty, carpets extremely dirty , terrible smell in rooms , unclean all around
- 1/5
I had specifically requested a room on the bottom floor, but they completely ignored it and gave us a room on the 4th floor instead. To make matters worse, the elevators were broken, so we had to lug all our stuff up four flights of stairs—no help from staff, no apology, nothing. The room itself was dirty. The carpet was nasty—stained, sticky, and smelled awful. It was clear the room hadn’t been properly cleaned or maintained in a long time. Overall, this place was a huge letdown. I would not stay here again and definitely don’t recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable or quiet stay.
- 2/5
The rooms were stuffy and carpets very dirty and sticky
- 4/5

- 2/5
The room was not great, there were dead moths, and live moths in the room. I killed a few spiders, the carpet was also dirty. The room was not cleaned during my stay. I feel there should be a warning that this hotel is literally right next to railroad tracks. Trains were coming at all hours and shook the hotel. On Friday morning a train was stopped for 1.5 hours (1am-2:30am) right outside of my window, it seem like it was adding or removing train cars. I will never stay here again, and will tell friends that is not a good place to stay.
- 3/5
Good service
- 1/5
The rooms in the portion of the building we were given should not even be operational. I have never stayed in a worse room. I actually left at 1:00am and slept in my car. Dirty sheets. Plugged shower with grimy tub.
- 4/5
Our room was on the first floor overlooking train tracks. We would get alarmed by the passing trains.
- 4/5
Great location for us.
- 1/5
This is not a good hotel. My room was literally next to the tracks. It’s a dingy place with concrete walls and dirty old furniture. Train was running all night. Awful.
- 1/5
Reserved a room with a pull out couch so my kids can sleep on. When we pulled out the bed it was disgusting! There was what looked like pubic hair, trash, dust. Which was extremely disturbing luckily we inspected it before letting our kids lay on it. We made a call ro the feont desk to get it resolved, their solution was for me to go to the front desk to pick up new sheets and change them ourselves. On top of that the shower head was leaking all over the place. Not only did the girl at the front desk have an attitude but was truly annoyed I had a problem with having a dirty bed. Being we had a soccer tournament and did not have time to get another hotel we had to stay otherwise we would not have stayed here and will not return ever!

- 1/5
It was so dirty
- 5/5
Very clean, friendly service. The only thing that we had trouble with was the door cards demagnatize if it touches your phone. We had to get several new cards.
- 5/5
The cleaning ladies that cleaned our room are sweet, respectful, kind, honest, and courteous. I made sure she got her tip she earned. She works hard and I respect and appreciate her job.
- 2/5
Noisy and broken utilities
- 2/5
My room was in a separate building from the main hotel which was confusing to find at midnight. The room felt like a creepy bunker, made all out of concrete and industrial looking electricity. The shower didnt have a plastic curtain, so water went everywhere and it was slippery. Worst part is our room was RIGHT next to train tracks and trains would shake the room when they went by... which was relatively often.
- 2/5
Our room was located in a renovated bean factory. The elevator was shaky and slow. The room was small and furniture is outdated. The beds are not queen beds, they’re small full size beds which barely fit two people. The microwave is bolted to the mini fridge and it shakes and rattles all night long. The pacific liner/coaster train passes directly behind the hotel every few minutes and sometimes a freight train goes by that makes the walls shake too. The bathroom tub was clogged and the water went down very slowly. I didn’t trust the plumbing so I went across the street to the gas station to go #2. Every morning around 7am a loud alarm would go off on the entire hotel which sounded like a fire alarm and scared us every morning. We checked out a day early because we couldn’t sleep there anymore. I would never stay here again.
- 1/5
The staff at check in were quick and helpful. Everything after that was downhill. Parking was packed, building looked like a jail on the outside, elevator shook the whole way up, hallways were dark like a horror movie, room was dingy with ripped furniture and outdated furnishings. TV did not work, there were no working outlets, light switches did not do anything, no exhaust fan in the bathroom, and ice was only on the main floor. I feel really sad I spent more than $100 on this room. We will check out as soon as we get some hours of sleep, and never return.
- 4/5
Our room was nice, the hotel staff was very helpful and friendly, amenities were great
- 3/5
Staff were friendly to me and free parking and breakfast is a plus, but the property itself is run down and in dire need of a refresh/renovation. The location is basically in an executive park, it seems relatively safe and there's a few restaurants on the same block, but Nothing else is really close enough to walk to. My hotel room door has large gaps around between the door and the frame on 3 sides, to the point where I could literally see daylight coming through the bottom and both sides. As a result, I could also hear everything going on outside of my room, not to mention the other rooms. My TV didn't really work for anything besides cable. Maybe they should consider doing a Chromecast setup or having the streaming apps actually work. There's Netflix and YouTube installed on the TV but when I tried to sign in, there's no connection to the server. They should fix that because a TV is really the bare minimum. The carpet in my room was very well worn and I made sure to wear sandals The whole time I was in the room. The hotel room has a general 'old' smell that's mixed with a fresh paint smell. the vent in the bathroom was completely clogged by dust. others have stated there are plumbing issues present, I found that to be true. Overall, there are worse places to stay, but I would hesitate to stay at this particular location again unless they renovate the place.

It’s started off great, got a message saying, “ We can't wait to welcome you at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham. Feel free to respond to this message if we can help in any way.” Well…. Friday June 27th myself and my kids(10 yrs old) went to the pool. They met some friends and were playing, there were two guest who thought it would be ok to smoke a marijuana blunt around the group of children. I asked them kindly to leave and they never did. I reported this to the text thread with the front desk and no response so I called the front desk and the finally came out after they were finished with their blunt. Then the front desk girl approached me at the pool and said, “ hey I spoke with them letting them know if they smoke again they’ll have to leave the pool, but your kids were splashing in the pool.” The group of 8-10 kids. Which only two were mine. So if you’re trying to stay here with children, it’s not a good choice. It clearly NOT KID FRIENDLY. Fast forward to that Sunday, I asked if we could get pool towels and never at any point did they get stocked.
- 3/5
Upon walking into the room, the floor was disgustingly dirty. There are spots all over it and it looked like it had never been cleaned. My daughter even asked if one of the spots was a blood stain. The bathroom and ceiling by the window had water damage. The shower walls had hair on them from a previous stay. The bathroom door had water damage and peeling paint.
- 1/5
This hotel has completely downhill. It’s dirty, stinky and in bad shape! We had to move rooms at 11pm due to mine! Trains are awful!
- 3/5
The hotel is split into 2 bldgs. It was easy to find with the help of the friendly clerk up front. The room itself smelled musty and the sheets smelled horrible, like mildew. The rest of the room was okay for the price.
- 2/5
Ive said enough
- 1/5
It was dirty, window barely closed
- 4/5
pretty nice for what i paid, my room was clean. the concrete room concept thing is kinda cool. however front desk could have been a little more service oriented. that could use some work in how to talk to a guest.
- 1/5
The staff was very understanding and helpful. The property is disgustingly filthy and not habitable. I think prisons are cleaner and more welcoming, especially the cement building behind the checkin building. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
- 2/5
Other than that it was fine…
- 5/5
Convenient to where I was working with several restaurants in walking distance.
- 5/5
Quick check in ,
- 4/5
I have stayed in La Quinta Inn before, but this location (building) was weird. Previous bean factory with cement walls. I was not a fan. There was also a train passing behind our room/ building. The continental breakfast was plain. No eggs, no sausage. If it wasn’t for the waffle machine( everyone had no choose but to eat waffles.
- 5/5
We loved our room in the old silo factory. It was so quiet! Really enjoyed our stay!
- 4/5
Our stay was great. We loved the big rooms! We didn't like the railroad tracks right next to my room and the couch was so stained I was scared to sit on it. We had 3 rooms all was different
