A little surprised that no breakfast was provided. Room was good.

Very dirty and smelly carpets
- 4/5
The staff were very friendly when checking in and checking out. Always respectful and helpful when needed. The room was decent for the most part but the curtains were shredded to the point that I wondered why they even still had it hanging up. I would say the stay is fine for a couple of nights but not somewhere I would stay for multiple days for vacation. It worked for me because I was attending a church conference nearby and only needed the room at night to sleep.

Nobody asked Sorry, nobody tried to make up for the whole bad experience You make a mistake you try to make ammend, They just post pone u to a random absent manager by email

Have stayed at this motel off and on for the last 20 years, since moving away from California. The reason that we stay here is the location. It is very close to family. Also, it is probably the least expensive in Irvine. The front desk staff are fabulous. They are all friendly, courteous, professional, respectful, and helpful. The motel has needed to be remodeled for the last 20 years. The building outside has been painted and looks like a brand new building. The lobby is very nice. The carpeting in the hallways is so old and smells bad. The rooms have not been remodeled at all. Lighting in the rooms is poor. Carpet in the rooms is old. Smells bad. Parking in the lot used to be free. Now you pay. Laundry used to be free. Now you pay. Washers and dryers are ancient and smell bad. The gym is nice though. The one positive feature is that it is next door to Hoge Hospital.

I would double check the availability prior to arriving, my friend drove 3hrs to come spend time with me at this hotel, there were rooms available and when he arrived they said they were sold out even though he had a reservation. It was so disappointing.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have a great experience. I was assigned Hotel Room 125 & as soon as I opened the door, it was warm and overly stuffy with a strong smell of dirty/old carpet. To my left was a stove in the kitchenette with a rusted large scratch at the bottom that they covered up poorly with white plaster, the electric stove had a ring of dirty residue. In the restroom, there was a lot of dust in the shelves where they had (hopefully clean towels). The mirror had cracks with rust along the bottom & a yellow dirty ring in the tub. Along the white border of the floor was dirt. Carpet was dirty as well. Nightstand was not clean. I immediately called Expedia and spoke to the hotel attendant to return my key as I could not stay there. I kindly asked for a cancellation & refund & I was told no managers were available until 5/26. They are the only ones that can approve the refund. I clarified as it is strange to have no escalation process but she stated no one was available until 5/26. On 5/25 I was told my request was denied. Very dishonest. Poor customer service. Still have not gotten a call from a manager to address my concerns.

Yes; the furnishing was run down. Bedsheet did not feel clean. The bathroom fixtures were loose and needs to be tighten up. I found it peculiar that the handicap bar is adjacent to the toilet because who would want to use the grab bar and exit out of the tub with wet feet next to the toilet bowl, and if you were to enter the tub from this same location it is difficult and dangerous to enter the tub as the end of the tub is at a slope; it would make more sense for the handicap bar to be adjacent to the shower faucet. Whoever did the caulking work around your bathroom needs to learn to do it properly. The exercise room needs cups for the water dispenser.

I liked the price because it wasn't too expensive. The location is great for families staying near patients or staff working at the hospital next door (walking distance). The location is close in driving distance to a lot of restaurants, Irvine Spectrum shopping center and grocery stores. I appreciate that they had a kitchen to reheat food in the microwave or use utensils and plates. The staff is also super nice and accommodating for situations that arise or any feedback. It was extremely dated and been through wear and tear. I also had to move rooms because I had an issue with bugs in my room. Avoid room 135 per by trails and was told that's why there's lots of bugs in the room. I kept seeing more bugs in the bed so they moved me to the second floor, which was cleaner and better but at that point, I still felt paranoid that bugs would be on me despite not seeing them in the second floor room. Also, the kitchens, the table sides were covered in stains in both rooms. I kept cleaning because I just didn't trust cleanliness. I couldn't think about comfort of the bed because I was too worried about bugs.

Everyone was friendly. Property was clean and safe. The studio was well-equipped. I’m only giving 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because there were two mattress pads that were fabric and plastic. I woke up drenched in sweat.
- 4/5
I think the front desk staffer (PM shift) was a bit unfriendly. Expected kindness.
- 3/5
Even some hotels revert the parking fee for its Guests or provide an equivalent coupon. Additionally the parking was neither covered nor well maintained.

It had some pretty major issues with my stay . The night we arrived the A/C was broken and only blew warm air while rattling. I told the front desk and asked if I could have another room and they said nothing was available. Nite one it was hot and noisy I didn’t get much sleep. In the morning I go to brush my teeth and there is a pincher bug in the sink. I figure let me wash it away before my girlfriend sees to not upset her . I figure I better at least get another room so I’m able to sleep the second nite. I went to the front desk asked what they could do they said let me send the engineer. I return that evening to a new A/C and cold air being blown but the A/C is set to 61 and it’s very cold so then I set it to 68 and it shuts off. I go to bed assuming maybe it will cool again latter to maintain 68. I wake up covered in sweat at 3:30am and decide to talk to the manager at the front desk. I’m basically told nothing can be done it should be working. Then I try 67,66,65 and nothing it doesn’t work. Once again I go speak to the manager and she basically says it should work its new and I go back to figure it out . After a few minutes I realize this new A/C only works at 61 and you either freeze or get no cooling in the room. I tell her what’s happening and she gives me a blanket an tells me that should keep you from freezing. At this long its 4am and I have work the next day I’m going to bed . The following day my girlfriend tells me about the pincher bug crawling on the wall

The room was not clean, the fixtures are degraded, and not in the best condition. The staff was terrible and abusive charged me a deposit twice although it was me staying 3 consecutive nights. Mind you the deposit is $200 that was on a debit card. These places really think someone is going to stay in them for close to $1000 for 3 nights they won’t be doing very well soon. It’s already been 2 weeks since I stayed in the hotel they have not returned my second deposit. Terrible terrible.
- 2/5
The room did not match the expectations set by the online photos. Overall, it appeared poorly maintained—the carpet looked worn and dingy, the couch was stained and unusable.
- 3/5
Yes but to loud , tv and phone was not working.

I have lodged in this hotel for several times. Its closeness to Irvine Spectrum center makes it very attractive to me.
- 2/5
The kitchen was fully equipped, Air conditioner keep the room cool. 3 lights needed light bulbs the remotes for the two Tv needed batteries. No pool or hot tub, no restaurant or grocery store like was stated.
- 3/5
The room was clean, the staff was attentive, and the environment was quiet. The shower and bathroom were fine. But the appliances were old and need to be replaced. Functional but noisy air conditioner, nosu refrigerator and bathroom fan. The icemaker in the frig didn't work and there was no other ice available. Also the mattress was so soft it was uncomfortable.

Front desk manager did not honor my request to extend my stay and in fact said that they had cancelled my reservation and would not allow me to stay at the hotel - but billed me anyway- due to a customer complain that I had spoken firmly to her and falsely accused her. What actually happened was that my teenage daughter was groped several times by the same woman in the hallway near the lobby while I was waiting to talk to the front desk rep and while I was talking to the front desk rep and my daughter was standing behind me. My daughter became very distressed and frightened and I turned to the woman and told her clearly and firmly to stop touching my daughter. The woman apparently complained to the manager stating that the incidents did not happen and that she was upset at being falsely accused. I was then denied the ability to extend my booking. I checked out but made a new reservation and returned at 4 but was again denied check-in due to “a message related from the manager to the front desk person that I was being denied service. I do not lie or exaggerate incidents and I was also terribly upset, myself, at what had happened to a young teen girl by a woman who had continued to be in close proximity to us whenever we were in public areas in the hotel. I did not yell nor swear. I just firmly told the woman to stop grabbing my daughter while we were all in the hallway near the lobby ( very small area) as I was waiting to talk w the front desk rep about extending my reservation. I did not and do not feel that I was treated cordially or with respect, but, instead blamed and falsely accused of lying and insulting another guest. It should be noted that there was no high drama. No one else was aware of the incident. I did not raise my bounce nor cause a scene in any way.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was welcoming and friendly. We brought our large dog with us and it was so nice the hotel is pet friendly. They provided toys, a food mat and bags for us to use during the stay. The room itself was a bit dated but provided plenty of space for us and our dog as well as a nice workspace. The common areas were updated and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

I couldn’t sleep or rest. There was a really bright green neon light that kept flashing on and off (smoke detector?), and there was no way to turn it off. My only complaint, but it was a dealbreaker.
- 3/5
Room had a strong stench and it was an older room. They only upgraded the cabinets in the kitchenette but everything else was old! The staff was very pleasant to me. Not sure how others have been treated. Would never stay there again.

- 4/5
Very close to hospital. Less than 5 min walk. Very convenient.
- 3/5
What could be improved? Really slow checkin, loose floor tiles in the bathroom, extremely loud refrigerator, poor quality amenities, rooms rented out for years at a time (we spoke to a man that lived there for 4 years). Hotel for homeless, perhaps? We won’t stay in another hotel of this brand again.
- 1/5
I was not informed that this was going to happen at time of booking or check in. Otherwise I would've stayed somewhere else.
- 5/5
The room was clean and I loved the mini kitchen to heat up food. Pots and pans were available and a full refrigerator unlike the bedroom refrigerators you find at other places. The TV worked great and the HVAC system worked well. My wife and 9 year old daughter was happy with the place and we wouldn't mind staying here again.

No water the day I arrived . And didn’t get a reimbursement . I choose never go to this place again. I was a regular costumer
- 5/5
Clean quiet room. Very nice staff. Great location for us at a reasonable price
- 1/5
However, after entering the room, I undressed and turned on the shower, only to find that there was no water at all. This occurred despite the staff’s clear assurance that water would be available for at least two more hours. This was not only an inconvenience regarding showering, but a serious issue, as it also meant I could not use the toilet. Under these circumstances, I believe this hotel should not be listed on Expedia at all. At the very least, this critical information should have been clearly disclosed online before payment. There was no notice or warning regarding a complete water shutdown, which I consider a serious misrepresentation of the accommodation. When I raised this issue, none of the staff took responsibility and I was told to speak with the manager. The manager had already left early. I was told I would receive a call the next day, but no one contacted me. When I called myself, my call was disconnected twice. Eventually, I was told “sorry” and offered a compensation of only $17, which is completely unacceptable given the situation. I expect a proper explanation, accountability, and appropriate compensation. This experience fell far below any reaso

Our second time here, so professional and friendly. I was having surgery, so was able to do an early check in. The property is clean and quiet. Everything you need if you want to cook for yourself, with restaurants close if you don’t! Highly recommend!

- 3/5
Room was very dated. Not very much lighting in room. Kitchen items could have been much better. Looked like they never vacuumed the halls and floors in room were very dirty to the point socks would be discolored if walked without shoes.

This location was central to all my outings in Irvine. Clean and convenient!
- 5/5
One night getaway and this was perfect. It was quiet, clean, and the service was great. If I’m ever in the area this will be my go to place.
- 1/5
Room felt neglected, noises of plumbing pipes all night, fridge whirring all night, and some electronic buzzing of doors every hour or so. It was like noise torture and hearing flip flops of people outside the room door at all hours of the dark morning.. zero sleep possible.
- 4/5
Full kitchen was convenient and room was clean. Bathroom was spacious with plenty of spaces for toiletries, etc. Bed was comfortable, but A:C was noisy.

- 3/5
The property is situated in the middle of Irvine right next to the hospital room was clean and organized. The 4 PM checkout is ridiculously late and then to be informed that there was no water available between 11 and three until we arrived at the hotel upon leaving, I realized I hadn’t left behind a cooler with medicine. Staff was very unhelpful in my family room retrieving my medicine.
- 5/5
My room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Also my room featured a mini-kitchen with full size refrigerator, stove top, microwave, sink, and accessories (I only used the microwave). Super quiet, convenient to the Hoag Hospital. Oddly they charge for parking even though there is a huge lot that was less than half full. Overall a really nice experience at a reasonable price!

The room was dirty it had hair all over the restroom. It had a dusty table/counters
- 3/5
They only clean rooms once a week. I stayed for 6 nights and never got to mine. However the staff were very nice and friendly.
- 4/5
Very HOT water, comfortable bed, AC worked great. Even had a treadmill. Nothing fancy. Nothing pretty. But definitely a good deal for the price.
- 5/5
The only problem was with one of the managers that was extremely rude on the phone, questioning my Service Dog as to why he was barking a few times thinking that this is a pet friendly hotel and my dog is a service animal so what if he barked once or twice maybe he was trying to tell me something And make me aware of my condition. I don’t know, but I make sure I will find out who she is.
- 5/5
Quiet and cozy
- 2/5
Area was fine, ladies at the desk were nice and helpful. Didn’t sleep well., people running around at all hours of the night. Duck taped recliner, rusted night stand, water pressure was bad shower head was falling apart.you can see where they used aluminum tape used for HVAC to cover the pitted shower fixtures. I think I was better off at a Motel 6 .

Friendly staff and clean rooms. The only downside is that there aren't any food options within a short walking distance. Not the hotel's fault.

Nice. Clean. Spacious room.
- 4/5
This is a great value for the money charged. It’s a bit dated and tired but still loved. You must drive to anything but that’s typical in Irvine. The staff is terrific.
- 4/5
We had a comfortable stay. Convenient location to freeways and Spectrum shops. Room was large with comfortable bed and kitchen. The first room assigned had a very loud refrigerator but they were able to give us a different room right away. Parking was seven dollars a night.
- 5/5
Everything was simple and clean. Would recommend this place.
- 3/5
We have stayed at this property before and had a better experience. This time was sufficient for our need of a single overnight stay with a late check-in (after 9pm) and early check-out (by 6am), but it was not a good experience. We were told we couldn't earn loyalty points at check-in because we booked through Expedia and therefore, the hotel wasn't getting paid (only Expedia was); this has never been the case before. There was no towel bar in the bathroom, just two sharp brackets that were an injury hazard. The TV did not work and the remote for the TV had dead batteries. The refrigerator had a stale and musty smell. It felt like we were put in a room that was halfway prepped.
- 1/5
Charged a parking fee when I checked in despite Expedia stating that the quoted price was the price that I would pay.
- 5/5
Great!
- 3/5
Room has a bit of a moldy smell and AC didn't work very well. Otherwise, a quiet and comfortable stay
- 4/5
I appreciated the value and the staff were amazing, but the room smelled strongly of urine and vomit. That was quite unpleasant.
- 4/5
We spent 2 nights while my wife underwent medical treatment. This is not a fancy hotel, but an economy hotel that is a great value, especially in an expensive area like Irvine. The.facility.is modern, clean, and serviceable but basic. The room was large, clean and comfortable. I found the bed to be comfortable and slept well. The.kithen is well outfitted and has a full sized fridge. The staff was.friendly and responsive. Everything worked and.looked as advertised. If.you are on a budget, this is an excellent choice.

When we went to make breakfast the next morning there were only 2 utensils for the 4 of us. When we needed a towel or anything else we had to track down a maid who was cleaning other rooms all 4 days/nights that we stayed there! The day after returning home there was an additional $56 charge to my bank so I called Sonesta to find out what it was for and they said they charge to park in their parking lot! Never again!!!
- 4/5
Very convenient and clean. Having a kitchen made things incredibly helpful for those long days the kitchen included all necessary items which was very helpful.
- 4/5
Didn’t pay any attention to the food.
- 3/5
Whatever air freshener system they were using was completely overpowering in a bad way. Couldn’t wait to get to my room, so I didn’t have to smell it!
- 2/5
When we got to our room it was dirty. We noticed outback Steakhouse food bags in the kitchen, pimple patches in the restroom, urine on and under the toilet seat and the shower curtain was taped up with silver tape. So we knew the room wasnt cleaned properly before pur arrival. The entire 7 days we stayed we heard nothing but loud foot steps above our room day amd night. It sounded like dogs or multiple people running around. The staff was helpful when we needed towels.

Location is clean and quiet. Room was small, layout is cramped. Small bed. They said it was a queen, it wasn’t. And that’s the only bed size they offer in all there rooms. The AC was very loud and inefficient. Couldn’t get the room to a comfortable stable temperature, and the AC would blast very loudly on and off. So loud that you couldn’t listen to the TV. Also, TV - Hotel only provide non-subscription viewing. No HBO, etc…. I won’t stay there again.

Staff is rude and not helpful. Rooms are nice for the price.

The staff at check in was great and so friendly! I really enjoyed the bedroom size and amenities like the kitchenette. I would totally stay again

Hotel is great location for healthcare related stays. Older property but clean with nice amenities.
- 1/5
Lady at front desk was socializing with other employees instead of helping guests. No type of snacks or breakfast available- just an overall dump of a place to stay, definitely needs a full renovation of both the hotel and the employees.

Clean and friendly staff
- 3/5
People at reception friendly, but room was dirty - floors were terrible, sticky and smudgy. Room had construction grade blower on and blowing for some reason into one corner of the room when I entered the room first night. I was not feeling good at all and wanted to go to bed and so I did not complain nor asked for exchange. Maybe, it would be handled well as the staff seemed quite friendly, but I did not try.
- 4/5
Hotel is decent enough, but the room smelled really bad… not sure what the smell was. It was very strong. Someone overwhelmed until you got used to it tonight.
- 3/5
Staff was nice and pleasant. Building could use some upgrades

Reception was welcoming and sweet.

Everything was great.

Older property but managed to get things right for the price.
- 5/5
Quiet and spacious

The staff was hardly at the front desk, room was not cleaned, we had to ask for fresh new towels & they asked us to return the old dirty ones first prior to us getting new towels. The room air temp is a wall unit, not central air conditioning.

Good place

Decent property ; good for being convenient and proximity to Business Area

The Sonesta was a pleasant surprise for us. It had so many amenities; more than we actually needed for this trip. However, we will remember it again for future trips to Irvine.
- 3/5
Close to Káiser Permanente where a relative was been treated.

The bed making services work on a 7 day rota, so my stay fell outside their usual cycle sadly, but was able make do with help and also get additional things. Generally the room was clean, but can see places in corners of room where things were missed. The breakfast area is basic, partnered next to the gym. In my option they could have a smaller gym and focus on making a breakfast area/ service for people to get more business. At the moment you’re better off finding something local to eat at. Plenty of places near by for that, but when you need to get started early for work, it would be nice to have it available at hotel.

The stay was amazing. Wonderful customer service from start to finish.

Location good but we wish they have some kind of room service for cleaning maybe no cleaning if is not necessary but at lease pass to the room to ask if need for towels or trash bags, we needed to ask for them in the reception so was not very convenient for a long stay

Staff was friendly and helpful, plus the bed was comfy. However my room had a stale smell to it, the remote control for TV was dirty and the water pressure in the shower was way to high.

Friendly staff, clean rooms

Newer hotel. Clean. It's in Irvine which is a safe city, and its right by the hospital. One problem, you will need to drive aways to find food and restaurants close early in Irvine in general.

This property was cute, clean and quiet.

Nice spacious clean room, attentive staff, easy parking.

Easy to access

Overpowering, super flowery air freshener upon entry. Treadmill broken. Ants in the room. Lighting very dim and depressing along with bathroom mirror light not working. Shower was fully open with a cloth shower curtain that blows inward while showering. Just drab and unattractive.
- 3/5
The hotel spells like a hospital. I’m not sure what cleaning products are being used, but I was uncomfortable both nights because of the smell. It would be better if the cleaning products were changed.
- 4/5
This place is definitely a bargain. It does need a face lift but for the price it is well worth it. Best part was the staff. Super friendly.
- 3/5
Noisy throughout the night. Did not sleep well at all.
- 5/5
Joanna and Esther at the front desk were very gracious and helped make our stay with two cats very pleasant. It was a tough time for us because we were near one of the LA fires, so we took off as a precaution, and the hospitality here was great! Joanna was incredibly welcoming and informative. If there was a Joanna at every front desk, every place would have five stars!
- 4/5
My first room smelled very strongly of dog and parts were literally falling apart. For example the kitchen drawer was broken and hanging at a crazy angle. The tile was cracked and floor so degraded it was hard to clean. However I was put in a better room which only had a rusty light and some wear. - rather than being outright broken. The towels were fluffy and felt new. The bed was very comfortable and bedding was soft. It was quiet after everyone had settled down at midnight and I had a great night sleep. The gym looked nice.

needs a pool.

No cleaning service for the rooms. Took out my own trash. There was a $7 parking fee / night( surprise!) which was not mentioned in expedia. The reason for the parking fee was that security from HOAG was surveying the parking lot. Did not see any security going around in the area during my stay. Bathrooms were old. Need upgrade. I dont think I will be staying in this property next time I visit that area!

While the staff were friendly, the property itself left much to be desired. The overwhelming smell of chemical cleaners was off-putting, and despite this, the room was not particularly clean. Dust covered the surfaces, and the furniture was quite worn out. Overall, it was not a comfortable stay. The room was noisy, with sounds coming from the refrigerator, piping, toilets, and an air conditioner that barely worked.
- 4/5
It was a decent place. A little run down and older in the rooms. They are suites that people live in so the chair was peeling and the side table was rusty and beat up. In general it was fine for the night but I'm sure there was better options.
- 5/5
Room was clean and quiet, except for the A/C as it was noisy. Lobby staff were friendly.
- 4/5
Front desk was very friendly, it was an easy check in. The room was clean and comfortable.
