Safe, clean and conveniently located hotel. Close to the interstate and restaurants. Complimentary breakfast is a great bonus.

Very clean rooms, staff was welcoming and breakfast was great. Room air conditioning was set at 66 degrees and I had to raise the temperature.

noone at front desk for 1/2 hour at least .. since incouldnt check in i left to another hotel.. i called hotel management and they said there was nothing they could do.. i walked around the entire property and found nonstaff personnel… I want my money back!!! 3 other people were waiting to check in.. I was not alone

Great. Wonderful staff. Clean. Good breakfast
- 4/5
Overall the stay was good. My only issue was the hair my friend found on her clean washcloth, the giant bug that was in the bathroom that appeared out of nowhere and the housekeeping staff wanting to know if we were checking out and which room we were in. The cleaning didn’t need to occur until after we were gone.

The room was great for travelers passing through the area.

Staff very nice and helpful, both at checkin and with answering any questions.

Nothing unique about this hotel.

Never had a problem with parking. Hotel staff was rude (lady working the morning or overnight shift). She seemed so bothered each time I had to come up to the desk (one to check in, 2 to ask for more towels, 3 when checking out). They put me in an accessible room when I checked in. I went back to the front desk and asked to not be in an accessible room and that I booked a king with a sofa. Was told they don’t have rooms with sofas and she doesn’t know why it’s available on booking.com. We finally got into a different room and the door wouldn’t shut without pulling handle all the way down. Even when leaving out we had to pull the handle down from the inside and then the one on the outside for it to shut. The toilet handle was broke and wouldn’t release on its own so we had to make sure to release it our self or the toilet wouldn’t flush but would constantly run. The ceiling above the shower looked like it was going to fall down. Could use some “fluffier” pillows.

Staff was really nice. Just stayed overnight. Convenient as a place on the way to Gatlinburg.

Would love a hand soap dispenser in bathroom rather than bar soap

- 4/5
The staff was very aloof and did not seen to be comfortable in their jobs. Room was good.
- 4/5
Overall it was fine, but (1) never got any housekeeping service even though we chose "light housekeeping." Was also disappointed that there was no safe in the room.

- 5/5
Overall it was a very pleasant stay and would recommend it to others.
- 4/5
When I pulled up there was plenty of parking available. When I checked in staff was very friendly. The room was a nice size and the AC worked great. My only problem was the shower still had someone’s hair on the floor, not a ton of it but noticeable. Otherwise, the room appeared to be clean and had a comfortable bed. The breakfast offered in the morning was great. They had a good selection and variety of things to eat and drink. I would stay again.

Breakfast was great.

My sheets weren't clean, but I didn't notice until late the first night. And I was gone all day until after 9 pm the next day. Breakfast was passable but fell short of what I've come to expect from Marriott properties.

- 2/5
The staff was pleasant. The room was average. The sheets were itchy and the towels and washcloths were extremely thin. I would not stay there again.
- 3/5
This was the second Fairfield Inn we stayed at during a cross-country trip, and a disappointment compared to the previous Fairfield Inn night. The shelf in the shower was falling off the wall (caulked), the room's updating was not completed with quality work--the toilet paper holder was loose--the room was somewhat clean but not sparkling clean. The lobby area and breakfast area were clean and nicely appointed. Best of all was the staff--check in clerk was very helpful and directed us to a great restaurant for dinner.

Check out is at noon, but breakfast is over at 9 AM!!! Limited staff.
- 3/5

- 3/5
Grounds were not well kept at all.
- 2/5
The continental breakfast was terrible. The powdered eggs had a fishy smell and were inetable . The sausage didn’t appear to be real meat. The staff hovered over the breakfast bar and gave the guests the impression he was watching over to much consumption. I won’t be staying at this hotel ever again!!!
- 5/5
Super friendly staff. Very clean hotel.
- 5/5
Nice stay.
- 5/5
Love the room. Especially the walk in shower. Very comfortable beds. Close to freeway to get anywhere.
- 5/5
The place was clean and the breakfast was nice. Just a normal breakfast you would expect with too hot items.
- 3/5
Was in a good location for a stop during a road trip. Though safety was a concern as our details were shared with another guest before arriving which I felt this was not ok. As they placed us in a connecting room as someone asked to be next to us. Which was under two seperate names and bookings and no consent from us. It wasn’t until check in they asked if I was with the other party, I said no & they said they already booked us in a connecting room with them. This made me feel very unsafe for others staying as it was so easy for someone to know where you are & to disclose my private information that I was staying at this hotel.
- 5/5
The room was comfortable and tidy. Breakfast area was neat. Breakfast food was fresh and presented nicely.
- 5/5
Clean room, quiet
- 5/5
Rooms are clean and staff is always pleasant. Always enjoy our stay here
- 3/5
We had a late check-in (1:30 a.m.) and it was quick and efficient once the clerk responded to the bell (was probably napping in the back - I would have been). Two queen beds were exactly what we expected, with basic amenities like coffee and iron/board available (didn't use the coffee machine since they had it down in the lobby). Location was next to the interstate, which was convenient and made the hotel easy to locate, but it had continuous traffic making it a bit noisy, so if you're a light sleeper, we would not recommend this location without earplugs/headphones. Lots of local restaurants/gas stations within walking distance and just on the eastern edge of Knoxville (about five miles east of the Holston River). Inoperable elevator was somewhat inconvenient since we were on the second floor and have issues with our knees, but we managed during our four day stay (I would have expected this to be an emergency repair, but maybe the holiday impeded the maintenance needed). The bathroom had mold on the shower curtain and on the edges of the tub, which is unacceptable to my spouse who is a cleanliness fanatic and surprised that this Marriott property would exhibit such an oversight (we actually purchased Clorox cleaner and sprayed the areas of concern). Reported this to the manager and the curtain was replaced, but the mold was still present when we did our deep cleaning. An older property that was obviously renovated recently but still reflected some of its past history.
- 4/5
The elevator was broken while we were there, but the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the hotel was reasonably priced.
- 4/5
Yes, clean and the staff was very accommodating.
- 3/5
The elevators were broken and the shelf in the shower was hanging off the wall. The room was dusty and the day clerk was rude.
- 2/5
This hotel is in need of serious updating. Mold and rust spots all over. The elevator was broken and the pool was out of order.
- 5/5
Staff was great!!
- 3/5
Elevator out of service, pool out of service. Room needed maintenance. Bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast was lame and coffee was Luke warm. A lot of truck noise from the Freeway. Overall, a very underwhelming stay.
- 5/5
Great stay, staff was awesome.
- 2/5
This Marriott was not what I am accustomed to. The elevator was not working. The room was decent, it took 20 to check out and there were 3 employees at the counter. Two of the individuals didn’t even give eye contact and left the checking out process to a new employee who was having a hard time on the phone. I felt bad for her. I would not recommend this hotel.
- 3/5
Well paying over $200 per night, there was no room service unless you ask for it. The check in staff don’t tell you about this, there is a sheet of paper with the notice on it and you are expected to see it as you check in. It was tucked away at the corner of the counter with artificial flowers in front of it.
- 5/5
Everything was spot on! Comfortable beds, clean room, kind staff, - would go again!!
- 4/5
Staff was nice and professional.
- 3/5
The hotels in this area are mainly catering to truck drivers and tourists just passing through. It's not ideal for business travel.
- 3/5
The mattress was terrible without any decent support. Marriott needs to fix this!
- 4/5
Beautiful room. Perfect for our one night. Only complaint: Elevator was not working so we walked two flights with our bags.
- 4/5
Good
- 3/5
Put heat on in room and something died in unit causing a burnt hair smell. Front desk provided a new room.
- 5/5
Parking lot at night felt a little sketchy but was safe
- 4/5
Great
- 4/5
Elevator not working. Room at 78 when we checked in, kick down to 64 in middle of the night. Day time staff was not rude just matter of fact and direct.
- 5/5
Fantastic stay
- 5/5
Everything was excellent.
- 2/5
The woman who checked all of us in was rude, snippy and just not very nice at all!!!
- 3/5
It was okay. Breakfast was good. Hotel was clean. Was quite disappointed the Elevator was out of service. Feel like that should have been advised prior to booking as I had to carry all my luggage up and down the stairs...
- 3/5
The hotel was adequate, but not great. The elevator was out, but fortunately we were given a room on the 1st floor. One bedside light bulb was out, the bathroom door could not be closed all the way, but it was secure, and there was an odd smell in the bathroom. Breakfast was done well and the staff was helpful.
- 2/5
Nice staff but dark, shabby, outdated
- 5/5
Love the location
- 5/5
Nice property. Breakfast was good. Wish the truck/trailers would park in the back as it took up most of the front parking.
- 5/5
It was a good place.
- 4/5
The property was well located off of Rt 40. It could use some new towels but the staff were all lovely and the breakfast delicious
- 3/5
This property looked unkept from the outside. The landscaping needed a lot of work and there was a lot of weeds, which is not what you want to see when you pull up. The inside was clean. The interior just wasn’t what I expected from previous days with Marriott. The room was fine. Though the environment in the room felt damp.
- 2/5
I'm not going back here again
- 4/5
Did not go to breakfast
- 2/5
Was very disappointed in this property, my wife and I had been travelling for 13 hrs that day, had been anticipating our arrival to what we considered nice hotels under the Marriott- Fairfield Brand..Nope.. here are a few items that we were faced with upon arrival. Terrible odour upon entering the lobby, poor lighting in the room, wore out furnishings in the room, closet doors stuck, microwave didn’t work,,fan in the washroom didn’t work, felt like we were having a shower in a fog/ steam room/ tub didn’t drain during this process I mean water levels way over your ankles, ironing board opened then hit the floor…. Really Marriott,.And pre paid nearly $175.00 for this room, Spoke with the front desk and was advised to call Expedia.. We Will. Needless to say Enter At Your Own Risk..Winston & Sherry.
- 4/5
Hotel was very clean, the landscaping is poor but it seems like they have been trying to remodel. The inside of the hotel was very clean and up to date. We stayed for a ball tournament with a family of 4. Breakfast was on point just wished they served till 10 so they have options of sleeping in.
- 3/5
My room was constantly wet feeling. Also, there was a large hole in the wall near my window.
- 3/5
Honestly, a little rough for a Fairfield Inn. Grounds covered with weeds, no AC in the hallways, smell of chlorine in the lobby.
- 4/5
While lacking in aesthetic qualities, the Fairfield Inn had a friendly and accommodating front desk, easy parking, a Cracker Barrell within walking distance, and clean rooms. I am a bit of a neurotic about cleanliness and I was happy. The drain in the shower was rusting, but the shower itself was spanking clean, which I very much appreciate. And believe it or not, checkout was by 12:00 noon! Never, ever heard of that!
- 3/5
Only 1 person spoke English. The sink in the bathroom was having problems. No air conditioning on the 3rd floor.
- 3/5
Breakfast was adequate.
- 2/5
There was roaches in the bathroom. The shower had almost no water pressure. When we got to the hotel to check in no one was at the desk. I rang the bell and no one came. I wait a few minutes then started walking around. The receptionist came out from the back room on her cell phone. She had me reswipe my card although I had paid online. The amount she had me pay was about 40 more than what I had paid at bookin. Once we noticed the price difference I went back to the desk ask and she was mia again. When she finally came to the desk and I asked about the additional charges without even looking anything up all she said was the additional charges were for incidentals. I mentioned to her that we were not from the area and she was t even willing to give suggestions on where to eat or if there was anything for us to do.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Great time and service!
- 1/5
Room was musty and hotel was hot. Front desk attendant stated she thinks the air broke. We immediately checked out after 10 min in the room.
- 3/5
Breakfast was extremely basic, but included so you can’t beat it. sausage links were the only meat and too over cooked to eat. They did have a couple cold cereal options and a make your own waffle station. The staff member at the desk when we checked it was very welcoming and extremely nice.
- 5/5
Easy check in and the room was great.
- 3/5
Close to the highway.
- 3/5
The front desk clerk was asleep took us 45 mins to wake him up to check in
- 4/5
Only There for one night almost everything average
- 4/5
Nice, clean basic hotel room.
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
People were polite and helpful
- 4/5
The room had the beginnings of sheet rock repair, that needed to be finished. The hall carpets were stained in several places and the elevator needs a lot of work.
- 3/5
Older hotel. Sheets and bedding old and stained
- 3/5
The hotel is a semi-updated older property. The property may be in the midst of remodel but it appears to be on hold. The room was clean but smelled musty, bathroom was updated and clean.
- 4/5
Everything was great, clean, and excellente services
- 5/5
Fine stay.
- 5/5
Great breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff
- 5/5
Nice place for one night on our way to Hilton Head Island. Clean room, nice breakfast with many options and easy check in/check out. Would definitely stay here again if our travels took us past this area.
- 5/5
Pleasant overnight stay while on the road
- 5/5
Extremely quiet. Safe area
- 5/5
Tired and worn.
- 5/5
The staff was extremely helpful and efficient.
- 2/5
Curtains were ripped in the room, linen was dirty on bed, construction was going on all day and night which was never mentioned on the website. Had I known that, I would hav never booked during that time.
- 2/5
Everything was very dirty and in bad condition.
- 5/5
Pool was down, property looked unfinished, but good experience
- 1/5
This place was remodeling but even with remodeling it is not up to par. Renovations were being done after 11:00 pm and their workers and supplies everywhere. One worker was running around with what looked like blood or red paint all over his face, very shady people around the motel, and pot smoking on each floor. Not the type of hotel we want our family at. It was too late for us to find another place so we stayed and got no sleep and left the next morning even though we had reserved it for two nights. After complaining about the below par standards we still did not get a refund for the second night.
- 5/5
Great staff. Very nice room.
- 5/5
Pleasant staff
- 2/5
Fitness room was out of order. Construction everywhere. Remodeling inside and out was half finished.
- 4/5
Was our bad timing to arrive as the lobby was being re-tiled, the elevator out of service, and the fitness center closed (for the re-tiling). We stayed on the first floor and our visit was fine; nice breakfast. When we reported a bulb out, front desk provided a new one. Nice comfortable bed
- 4/5
The Fairfield Inn & Suites, Knoxville East was very good. The staff was really helpful and kind. Although there was some work being done on the hotel, the staff was very aware of the people staying and very safe. The rooms were very clean and neat. The room was comfortable and the beds good. Overall, our stay was excellent.
- 4/5
Hotel undergoing remodeling. Very pleasant front desk clerks. Well-lit parking. Place was clean. Breakfast was the usual hotel stuff and was fresh and tasty. I felt it was fairly priced for what you get. Would stay again.
- 3/5
Seemed to be having a lot of repair done.
- 5/5
Property has been undergoing renovation for quite a while.
- 4/5
I liked that the property was easy to find. The staff seemed stressed and the property needed some TLC. Otherwise, my stay was good and I would stay there again.
- 3/5
It was not what we expected for a Fairfield Inn.
- 4/5
I asked a quite room and the front desk assigned a quite room to me. Really appreciate. Off facing the highway side of the hotel is really quite.
- 4/5
Close to the expressway
- 4/5
Nice
- 5/5
My plane got in late so we had a need for a quick night stay. Perfect for what we needed. In and out with breakfast.
- 2/5
Was told I would have 2 queen beds but when checked in had 2 double beds
- 3/5
Service was not very cordial. The lady at the front deskwas rude about the wifi and was sure to let me know I could not get my room cleaned unless I scheduled it with 24 hour notice. Also there was an exhaust fan in the bathroom but not a switch in sight. Useless and the room was uncomfortable.
- 5/5
Inside was nice. Outside was under renovation and chaotic. Hopefully outdoors will match inside when renovation completed.
- 4/5
Not sure if we were going to get stuck on the elevator or not
- 1/5
A real dump …upgrades taking place all over the building …trash out the back view…really poor condition. Website should read something to effect of major renovations taking place.
- 5/5
Checkin took less than a minute. Got up to the room and it was nice and cold on a summer night. Bed was comfy. Was asleep by 215. 10/10.
- 3/5
Property needs work ,appearance not good.breakfast was just ok , the front desk lady was very nice though
- 3/5
Brought my elderly mom. Icy cold temp in the room on arrival but the front desk was very responsive with an extra blanket. Had to call using my cell phone as the room phone was dysfunctional. The toilet was incredibly low to the floor and we were unable to manipulate her walker with the door swing and the tight size of the bathroom. The queen bed frame was paired with a double mattress size which left a 5 inch frame excess on one side to crack your shins. Odd.
- 4/5
Property currently under renovation
- 4/5
They were changing the wallpaper in the hallway (1st floor). It needs to be remodeled all around.
- 4/5
Break fast is good
- 3/5
Location next to Cracker Barrel is a plus. Shower was good; bed comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety. However the carpet in hallways and room was old and stained and the room smelled musty. If you have allergies, best not to stay here.
- 3/5
A quick stay Hotel is good no problems
- 2/5
Hotel was under construction very limited parking because of all the construction material
- 3/5
Disliked construction
- 3/5
This is very close to the interstate and a convenient last-minute stay.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Hotel is nice, included breakfast which had a good selection of food. Hotel was full but very quiet. The only negative is the pool water was very cold so couldn’t really swim.
- 1/5
The hotel appears to be in need of or in stage of renovation judging by the construction equipment in the parking lot AND number of old mattresses laying out there as well. The beds were old, room had ants. Couldn’t wait to leave.
- 5/5
Bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
Nice clean hotel with a good breakfast. Loved the walk in shower.
- 5/5
We were on the second floor. They are going through an update. The room had brand new carpet, so new that you can smell new carpet. Everything was freshly redone. Very nice.
- 3/5
The property was undergoing some renovations and there was quite a bit of sheetrock dust and debris around - especially in the elevator. The toilet in our room was loose and the room was kind of muggy. The mattress was GREAT, and the continental breakfast was very good.
- 4/5
Nice place
- 5/5
Staff quickly corrected an issue with the TV. Impressive customer service by the lady at the front desk.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet with big breakfast. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Had know issues, staff was friendly and the place was clean. Thanks.
- 3/5
I traveled alone and checked in late at night after driving all day. When I walked in I thought the employee was someone staying there because he wasn't behind the counter and didn't look very professional. He basically just handed me a room key and didn't say much of anything. I misread the number and went to the wrong room where someone inside was yelling so I double checked thankfully and went to the correct room but not before noticing the messy hallway even in the dim light. When I did get to my room the coffee maker was in the bathroom and looked like it hadn't been dusted in ages. The place just had an overall dirty and unsafe atmosphere. When I was loading my car in the morning the staff was smoking in front of the door. Some guy approached me in the parking lot to ask for money. When I checked out the lady was not very friendly. Sadly I stayed at another Fairfield Inn on this trip that was excellent so this was very disappointing. The whole place needs an update from the low ceilings and poorly lit hallways, outdated furniture and creaky elevator, to the poorly trained staff. I even passed up breakfast because again everything just felt dirty.
- 4/5
Decent hotel for overnight stay. Conveniently located just off highway. Appreciate the noon checkout, even though breakfast ended at 9:30. Room was not equipped with hair dryer.

Very clean and welcoming. Excellent value for area.

Liked the sitting area on the floors. Our room was comfortable, nice shower. Breakfast room and buffet were good. The exercise room was cramped and warm. Poor air circulation made it difficult to work out. The water cooler was empty and there were no towels

Room could be cleaner.
