The mattress was 2-3 inches thick with no foundation and you could feel the springs. The noise from I40 was loud. We have stayed in many Motel 6's before but this was the worst!

I didn't like the fact that the dryer took my money and would not replace it. Im extremely upset about the fact my toilet over flowed and when I went and complained about it.They proceeded to hand me a plunger. I explain to them that there was toilet water with p*** and probably some poop in it all over the bathroom floor that I also would do something to clean it with.I'm having to do it myself.She told me they did not have cleaning stuff that someone had borrowed it and not giving it back. So after she seen that I was not satisfied with that answer after me explaining how unsanitary that was and how we still needed a toilet to work , she then sent a housekeeper down to help me plunge it and help me clean it up. I'm\n Sorry, but I paid over $70 a night for that room. I should not have to clean up a toilet overflowing. They should have accommodated me with another room or at least an extra night for free. Considering you made me plunge and clean up the shifty mess myself. I really feel like they should have compensated me in some way to make up for my inconvenience. It made me feel like they thought that I wasn't worthy that I was just some low life staying at the motel because I know that I've seen many places compensate compensate with a free night for way. So it's just like I wasn't as important as other people.00

It was convienent for the location, the tile on the floor was cracked, and there was mold in the bathroom, and the tv was like black and white. But it is what it is for the amount you paid. some of the rooms are upgraded and some of the others are not. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

Cigarette burns in comforter, stains on sheets, sticky floor, red stuff spilled on wall, light out in bathroom, people actually living daily on property- smoking and arguing. Told staff I was leaving and wanted to cancel reservation after being there about 10 minutes. She told me "could give you a better room". As if the room given to me she knew was not good. Horrible place. Very unclean. Staff in lobby were nice when checking in. Place was very simple and plain in appearance of lobby area. Didn’t expect the Hilton, however, WILL NEVER STAY THERE AND DON'T RECOMMEND.

The room we got was disgusting, and smelled so bad. I’m ok with old hotels,old furniture and such but our room had not been cleaned good in a VERY long time. Stuff splattered all over the walls, mold all over the ceiling and walls, dirty mirrors, food/dirt all in the floor. We checked in and had our stuff right back in the car within 10 mins and checked back out.

Nice fat roach crawled out after a shower in what I would call the weakest shower set up in any room I have stayed in. And had the nerve to be at the door at exactly 11 to "clean" room. You get what you pay for I guess.

Parking area was fine. Outside area near doorways, messy and cigarette butts. We arrived late, the bed did the job. I did not want to bring much inside, only what would fit on countertop. Frig had mold, so I took cooler back outside. Dresser had something spilled all down the front. Toilet seat coming off. As i said, we slept and we left. Becoming very disappointed with Motel 6s.

First off the room was covered in black cobwebs not to mention blood all over the ceiling. There was black mold growing in the air conditioner. That room looked like a murder scene. It stunk like mold. Holes punched all in the wall. Room 120 to be exact! Highly do not recommend! Definitely do not take your kids there.

The worst part was the “non-smoking” room smelled like an ash tray and was overpowering stench. The drapery rod was falling off wall. No bugs. Loud area of Knoxville. All night there were sirens outside. People live at this hotel, so foot traffic lasted well into the night. Now I get to drive exhausted.

Staff was pleasant and helpful. Beds and linens were clean. Roaches in room. Sink faucet and handle loose. 3 Icemakers out of service. Dogs everywhere. Room behind mine had a dog that yapped for half an hour at dawn each day. Parking lot trashy and lots of cigarette butts.

We checked in during the daylight and it was obvious there were workers staying there long-term yet we felt safe; however, when the sun started to set things digressed. Full-time resident started coming out smoking cigarettes, sitting in the stairways drinking beer, playing loud music and not your working type. The smoke was so thick in our room at 2am from outside smokers I woke. the non-smoking room filled with cigarette smoke llike our wall-unit AC was sucking it in on us. The other “guests” appeared long term were disrespectful and I suspect government subsidized housing situation.. I was approached by a very scary proposition in the parking lot after hours. I could hear everything outside almost as if amplified through windows and walls. I did not sleep! Do not recommend any families or solo females stay at this property. There is a nice hotel right next to this one so the safety was deceiving in daylight.

Friendliness of the staff

This property took me and my dogs in when I had no where to go after Hurricane Helene. The staff is wonderful and friendly. I am grateful for motel 6 for helping me with a roof over my head until I was able to gain employment and find a new home. I have seen where some people have said they didn't like it because there are residents here. The people who are in similar predicament as I have been are good people who are working hard and trying hard. They are friendly and helpful. In a world of Karen's, please take into consideration the situation some have been in since Hurricane Helene. Thank you Motel 6 for helping me and others in need.

I arrived in the lobby and found the Halloween decor very well done and tastefully executed. The front desk attendant was very friendly, helpful and efficient. However when i went to my room I was greeted by a long term resident/tenant emptying his ashtray over the third floor balcony into the growing collection of cigarette butts and trash strewn across the parking lot. Inside, the room had a strong musty odor and the popcorn ceiling was covered with black mold. The bathroom ceiling had a large blister of the popcorn finish that previously filled with water from an upstairs leak and had popped at some point in the past. The front entry door did not have the security latch keeper installed and looked to have been forcibly removed. One of the electrical outlets in the vanity area had a large hole where the neutral connection should have been and was charred in that area. I only stayed in the room long enough to book another hotel for the same night. The front desk person was surprised but also not surprised when I gave her the keycards back so shortly after I had checked in. I find it hard to believe that there could be any kind of health department or code enforcement that would allow this operation to continue. God bless the long term people who call this place home!

This facility is disgraceful. So much old smoke in the room that i wheezed and coughed all night. I didn't think smoking rooms were allowed, anymore. It was run down and disgusting. The room was so terrible that i slept in my car the second night just to not have to go back. Let me know if you want pictures. I would dearly love my money back. At least for the second night that i didn't return there.

When I returned here for a third business-related week, I learned that the seedy Nigerian at the front desk had cancelled my reservation because I had complained to the manager about the drug pusher in the room next to me (who lives in one room with his wife and three kids), had a screaming fit with his wife outside my motel room on my last night the previous week. I was exhausted after my long drive from North Carolina, but I was forced to get on my iPhone and rebook my stay. The Nigerian blood-diamond drug lord at the front desk claimed he had no rooms available although the parking lot was only half full. He begrudgingly gave me room in back of the motel where they put their criminals and drug addicts. When I entered that room, I found the conditions filthy with cockroaches climbing the walls, the furniture damaged. By that point, I was beyond exhaustion. I didn't care if Mr. Blood Diamond was the head of the African mafia. I called him at the front desk and told him that if he didn't move me to a better room, I would file a formal complaint with the Motel 6 corporate office and the State Attorney General. Blood Diamond was mad, but he gave me a better room. When I went back to the front office to turn in the old keys, Mr. Blood was conferring with one of his cronies, a tall skinny, tattooed heroin addict type. An obese old man sitting across from the front desk motioned with his hand for them to stop when he saw me enter the room. This place is a drug-related crime ring.

I enjoyed everything about my stay, the kindness and professionalism of staff, the cleanliness, the comfortable room and amenities. I love this Motel 6 and I normally give it a 5-star rating. This stay however I could only give a 4-star rating because my room was next door to a very loud family of five who have been living in their motel room as a permanent dwelling although neither of the parents appear to have a job. I did report this to the motel manager who promised to give me a different room for future stays. This is STILL my favorite Motel 6.

The staff are all so sweet and helpful, and I was so grateful to be able to bring my fur baby. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will be returning in the future.

I asked for non smoking and the room remakes of cigarette smoke; the window was open to air it out. My wife found a roach on the headboard ant the sheet had a stain I Hope was rust. Fortunately we found a room at the Hampton Inn across the street.

We were there for 4 nights and no one ever came to clean the room, give towels or even toilet paper. The keys didn't woek and the staff was terrible and not helpful at all. Horrible place to stay.

Basic "no-tell motel." Floor in room were slippery like there was some greasy residue. Good for a overnight stop passing thru Knoxville.

Lots of its guests seem to be permanent residence. Lots of noise and my room was rough lots of burns in the comforters for a non smoking room. On the positive it seemed to be bug free.

Very dirty. Door to the room was filthy, the bathroom door is filthy. Only 1 bath size (not really) towel. Lighting. OMG. 3 unbelievably bright fixtures in the room. Could not comfortably have them on. We just turned on the bathroom light. No table lamps. The bed. An optimistic description. Mattress was completely collapsed on the one side. The farm squeaked terribly with any movement. Looks like an attempt was made with some sort of mattress topper…..not successful. Very noisy. Is quite literally right beside the highway. Grounds. The area outside the motel was absolutely DISGUSTING with dog droppings. You quite literally had to tiptoe through. We travel with our little dogs and have never seen anything like this. People should pick up after their pets…..but in the event they don’t it it part of overall “upkeep” to address this as the property management. Never again….,pay a little more and get a good night’s sleep!!!

Well when you get cussed out for trying to make it reservation while you're in your room by their staff and then they protect them and you have a friend in the room with you that just got there and they make all kinds of lie and make me feel more money because they had come to check on me what would you do I'm not going back to your motel 6

This Motel6 was the worst hotel I've ever stayed. It was noisy, i got put in a smoking room and was told thats all they had and i specifically ask for non smoking room. I will not return to this place ever again

If I am being honest, my only problem was having to kill roaches the whole time I was there and for people to be paying to stay here, regardless of the price, it should still be clean and toilet seats and towels should be at best decent.

Walked in to check in and several residents (?) were at the desk having dinner. Room was sparse, industrial lighting in place of lamps were harsh. Metal platform bed made a noise every time you so much as rolled over.

The couple we traveled with had to switch rooms. The bed was dirty. Had pubic hair and moldy sheets.

Was a very nice place for the money, but there are signs everywhere saying “every 3rd Monday of the month, pest control will be out to spray for bugs” but they still have roaches that come out at night. And there was mold inside the drain for the shower

The staff were always very helpful and considerate, and that is something I really appreciate, and I'm grateful for their hard work ethic and attitude. The location itself suffers from the drag racing and rocket engine testing they do all night on the interstate, which isn't their problem, but it still sucks. It's a roof over your head, the a/c works, the internet is fast and stable, and it's affordable. Especially for Knoxville. The down side is my room smelled weird, I couldn't mask it, I smell it on me now, it's like 10 elderly couples lived in there for 15 years or something. Didn't see any bugs, so that's a plus.

There were only 2 positives about my stay. The front desk staff was very nice and the bed did not hurt my back. The room was very dirty. There was what looked like a dried puddle of pet urine in the corner of the room. All of the door frames and doors were dirty. It looked like someone put an axe through the bathroom door. The towels were stiff and small. My door key worked the first time I used it and then when I returned, I had to get it reprogrammed. A roach was in my room that I saw. Police sirens all day and night. There was no do not disturb sign that I could leave on my door so that I would not be disturbed but the cleaning person called in so the room was not disturbed but if I had wanted it cleaned, it would not have happened. I mean no disrespect but this was a terrible stay and I’ll likely never visit another Motel 6, as this was my second terrible stay in a different state. It leads me to believe they are all run the same way.

Well the first room they put me in had a infestation of cockroachs the did put me in room that was much better. But I was still kinda grossed out.

Truly a miserable experience. Check in was the only decent part. This property had garbage bags piled up in the walkways, poor and broken lighting. The elevator was filthy. The room had broken wall light fixtures, frayed and discolored bed pads on the VERY uncomfortable bed. We booked a nonsmoking room but the air handler pulls smoke from the many people who were smoking out in front of their rooms downstairs.

Convenient area, there is a good Mexican restaurant across the parking lot room was adequate.

The people were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was fine, but the shower curtain did not keep the water off the floor. The walls were thin, so I heard some noise from other occupants, but not bad. The neighborhood was not attractive, but I didn't feel unsafe.

We were given a room with only 1 working light. That staff changed it out but seemed to know there was problem. That was the good part. I did not expect much from this location but wanted at least functional and clean. There are lots of hotels in the same price range that are much nicer. This property needs a huge remodel and change.

My mom are actually still here. Just paying weekly. We have been in four other hotels and this one by far is the best one. The staff is great! These are hard times and my mom and I are looking for a place to live and the staff is so understanding. Looks like we will be staying for awhile at least after the New Year. Have to get out finances in order. Overall a great place to stay especially if you need extended stay.

It was somewhat clean. I did see a bug in the bathroom. My dislikes outweighed my likes. I booked a handicap accessible room. It was unavailable when I checked in. My TV didn't work. Neither light over the beds worked.There was no phone in the room. I had to park too far from my room which is very difficult since I use a cane or walker. I WILL NOT stay there again.

For a Motel 6, our stay was pleasant. I was personally slightly disappointed on not having a tub as I'm pregnant and wanted to soak after a very long drive. The pretty granite marble stand up shower was very nice and clean though. Water was hot and the pressure was great! The towels were very tiny! I normally don't have any complaints with beds but this one felt like it needed to be removed as it had a hump in the middle. Everything was clean. The smell was a little off putting as it smelled like dirty fabulouso but that doesn't make or break the deal. I was very creeped out with the massive amount of Halloween decorations in the lobby. I think that was a little over board. We had a microwave issue one morning and they fixed it quickly while we were away. The one downside is the room were we in faced the interstate so the traffic noise was quite loud. Overall for motel, our stay was great.

First of all this is a real review. I don’t know what hotel some of these other reviewers stayed in . When I arrived to my room the TV in the room was on . The room was extremely dirty and I noticed the smoke detector had a plastic bag covering it. I was in Knoxville with my daughter for a concert at UT. After the event I went back to the room. I decided to check about changing rooms but was told the only room still available was a smoking room. We decided to try and stick it out . I put a towel down on the floor so we could wipe our feet off before getting into bed. I rolled the blanket down for my daughter and a used condom fell on the floor. I have a photo. I spoke with the people at the front desk and they acted like I was bothering them asking for clean bedding. After a while someone from house keeping came and changed the bedding. I decided we couldn’t stay there, we checked out and drove 3 hours home. The whole staff , everyone we spoke to was rude and acted like they could care less. Please do not stay at this hotel. The photos of the rooms on the website are not the same as the room I attempted to stay in . I did get in contact with the people at Expedia and they did refund me the cost of the room .

Property was fine. Staff was fine. Cleanliness was good..The nosie from outside was terrible..went on till throughout the night. But I would stay again because was very affordable..

The front office staff were friendly as always as we book frequent overnight stays. The room was clean, smelled nice, and was in good condition. Plenty of towels. I appreciate having the mini-fridge in the rooms too.

Walls are thin and you can hear banging and people walking above. I turned on the lights in the middle of the night and seen some roaches.

The walls inside the room and bathroom were extremely dirty. Even the toilet paper roll had something on it. Smelled like freshly smoked cigarettes in the room, and very musty. Bathroom felt dirty, like if you showered you would come out feeling unclean. There were several people lingering around in the parking lot. Wouldn't bring kids to this hotel. The front desk staff were nice and helpful.

When first checking in the motel seemed not so bad. Room smelled good when going in. But after the first night and every following night we would turn the lights on and see 15+ cockroaches scurrying away. Additionally one night there were people in a nearby room throwing a huge party that was loud until almost 3am. Wouldn’t reccomend

We stayed for 1 night just to go to the zoo. The tv was unplugged but as soon as we plugged it back in it came on without using the remote. When we used the remote to turn it off it would come back on. It was not very clean. Bathroom didnt have little samples of shampoo or conditioner but did have soap. My husband broke out the next day in spots that looked like bed bug bites but me and the kids didnt have any as i know of. We will not stay here again.

no coffee maker in room, floors were very dirty. tv picture wasn't very good. trash sitting around outside. bathroom door was installed backward, locks were on outside of the door. no alarm clock. no clock of any kind. no breakfast bar of any kind. walls had something splattered on them. housekeeping would sometimes leave soap and some days not. also some days no wash cloths. it's cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Most properties charge high fees for pets. I always stay at Motel 6 and recommend thos motel.

Walls are paper thin, you hear everything. But it was very affordable.

No shampoo. Also a usb phone charging wall plug is really a necessity with everyone having phones now. This was a bare minimum type room but the price is low for the area. Only one elevator was working on the far side of the building. The room was clean.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. It was not clean in the room andthere was homeless people outside passed out in the parking lot. The trip got even worse when after walking our dog around the premises he started whining, and lost the ability to walk and passed out. He has to be rushed to the ER and they had to give him back with narcan. The vet informed us that there were opioids in his system and they had to have entered his system in the last 30 mins to 1 hour and He was hospitalized overnight. When we informed the hotel about what was in their parking lot they stated it was not their fault and “they have no control or responsibility over the parking lot or the rooms”. They would not allow us to cancel our stay for that night and were extremely rude. If you have pets or children please do not stay here. It is dangerous and management only cares about their money. The manager Cindy Raines was specifically rude and should be fired.

The pictures they use are old. The room was not clean. The faucet was loose on the sink. The tub was slow to drain. Didn’t expect a lot but not this.

Another issue was with how we were treated even before arriving to the hotel. We were on our way to the hotel and where almost an hour and a half from the hotel. My phone rings and the lady calling informed me that she had attempted to run the card at 6pm EST, and it did not go through. The issue is with that is the fact that I was informed by the lady that their policy is that if you are not there by 6pm their time they will attempt to charge your card especially when they are as busy as they were. This policy is not mentioned publicly even according to the travelocity listing. We where told that if we did not arrive by 930 our room would be given to someone else. Fortunately I was able to make it with about 10 minutes to spare. I have several pictures we took of the room we stayed in. Extremely dissatisfied with this visit, and honestly I feel some sort of compensation should be offered.

The location and area were nice. But this was one of the worst hotel rooms I have ever experienced. I am a fan of Motel 6's. They are typically inexpensive but clean and nice. This one is in dire need of major repairs, beds and bedding need to be replaced, needs repainting. The room was incredibly muggy and the air unit made it worse. The stairs to the 2nd floor looked and felt unsafe. I wouldn't stay there again. Way overpriced for what you get

Gm lady was very rude and combative. She's a ticking bomb be careful she snaps on guests to easily.

Its very old and outdated. Our bathroom door was coming apart and had been stapled back together on one side. The sink just outside the bathroom came apart the first time we tried to use it and we had to put it back together for it to work. The TV was already on when we got to the room which to me was odd.
