You do get what you pay for… most of the time. Not here, They’ll find extra fees. Don’t pay extra for early check-in. They refuse to honor it, and want an additional forty dollars. Don’t extend your room on the app. They’ll charge you for a new early check-in. Don’t pay at the hotel, pay in the app, or they’ll just charge whatever they feel like charging. Sorry to say, but a single dime more than the price advertised here is completely unacceptable.

Room is nice. Beds are comfortable. Staff, mainly owner and his wife who does housekeeping are not very personable. Rest of staff is very respectful. Hotel could easily be fixed up and improvements made. Cheap yes, but given the damage to the property and lack of upgraded, modern well anything, makes it not very inviting. It's not somewhere I would pick just by driving by that's for sure. The pictures online are very deceiving. Honestly I can't believe people can stay here with walls collapsing, air conditioner is not running and the ones which do are mini ac units, above the door, instead of below a window and half the normal size. Room size is big but the air conditioner is too small to keep up.

The whole hotel smells amazingly clean, but it really isn’t maintained well. I had spiders wake me the first night. The lamps periodically blip because of the plugs. The shower head had gunk all over it. The water pressure is low. And my husband had a cold shower. Out of all the places we’ve stayed in Knoxville this is among the lowest but has the potential to be so much better.

The room was extremely dirty! The bedding was not clean at all and the walls were filthy. I informed the front desk and was told that I had an "Elite Room" or something to that tone. I was told I couldn't get more sheets and not an offer for housekeeping to change. My family of five ended up leaving right after traveling there for a graduation. Driving back 6 hours home because of a filthy room.

There was black mold in the bathtub, the bedding was dingy, the room smelled musty and moldy, the mini fridge was dirty, found someone else’s underwear behind the microwave, the building appears to be falling in, the doors do not close correctly, there was a knocking noise in the wall all night by the sink outside the bathroom…. The property needs some money put back in. The room was moldy smelling but bed was comfortable. I stayed one night. It has potential it really does it’s in a great spot. It’s the little things like shower curtain didn’t stay up and was dropped to the tub very easy to step on. But if you need an inexpensive one night maybe 2 nights not too bad.

    - The pool doesn't work, it is shut down! They are not working on it. It looks like a scene from The Walking Dead. - The pictures are ALL MISLEADING. We checked in, which was handled by a very unprofessional, and rude gentleman. The first room smelled like smoke and body odor, mold, there were cigarette burns on the comforter, dirty sheets and was just a mess. We didn't get pictures of the first room and we should have. We got into a different room which was better, but still a mess. More mold, failing and discolored ceiling, dirty, this room did smell like smoke but didn't smell as bad. Burns in the comforter. The pillows were yellow and granted it could have been from bleaching, however the way the rest of the room looked, I wouldn't count on it. The shower is the worst. There was more pressure in the sink than the shower. The water was cold, and the water pressure was non existent.

Building has a closed rundown water park. windows in this area are falling out. Parking lot was tour up and potholed. The pictures on the site must be from a model or ??, definitely not of this property. Again, stay away, a tent would be better.

Housekeeping staff EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. Evening desk clerk could not even be bothered to look up and say "hello". He simply grunted "yes?" at check-in. When asked where the elevators were located, he responded with "they are unavailable because there is a game in town". ??? 🤔 Exterior of facility is extremely filthy and littered with cigarette butts everywhere. Also, steps are unstable / uneven. There are no wheelchair ramps. This is not a handicap accessible property in any way, shape or form. There were old mattresses leaned up against various room doors with broken locks. Also, the indoor water park is completely in shambles and under construction. Hallways look as though they have never seen a vacuum. The place is just absolutely filthy. We felt either safe nor clean staying there. There was a pile of dead bugs in the corner of the bathroom. Beer bottles in halls which wreak of marijuana. This place screams "we want your money, but not you".

The deadbolt lock was not screwed in and just hanging. Anyone could have busted in. I did not have a screwdriver with me. The electrical outlet on the light had exposed wires. It was obvious it used to be a smoking hotel. Both from the smell to the cigarette burn in the comforter. The drawer in the desk was hanging sideways. I was in the back where a lot of people were drinking and hanging around the back door. I will not return.

This has to be one of the worst places to stay that I have ever seen a broken down creepy waterpark inside broken windows exterior doors that don’t even have handles dirty stinky light switches didn’t work the front desk staff naturally was on his phone the entire time chatting with someone else in another language. Crap everywhere just I don’t know anyone that would want to stay here unless it was a homeless person, needing a shower and a bed. I took one look at the waterpark which was right outside the door, open the door with the fridge hanging out, totally smelling and went right back to the front desk and told him that I would not stay here and would like my money back and of course he wanted to know why, so I told him the many many reasons I can’t believe they’re even allowed to be open. .

The property looks abandoned. The room looks nothing like what is advertised. The roof of the room shows water damage, the room smells, NO REFUND!!!!! The bathroom looks to be falling apart. If you want a comfortable safe place, this is not it. The hotel has over 100 rooms and it may only be 5 rooms being used by guest that has to stay due to not being able to get a refund. When I walked in the room, linen was on the floor and front desk had to come and retrieve it. Towels looked dirty, AC barely worked properly, lamp light only had one bulb that worked. For a single individual, I do not recommend in my opinion.

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO (0) STARS I WOULD RATE THIS HOTEL 0⭐️🚫! 👎FALSE ADVERTISING BY HAVING PICS OF THE INDOOR WATERPARK & POOL ON THE WEBSITE...WASN'T JUST CLOSED, BUT ABSOLUTELY NO WATER IN SIGHT! (TOOK PICS FOR PROOF.) NOTIFIED THE FRONT DESK REGISTRATION STAFF OF THIS & HE SAID, "NO POOL OR WATERPARK IN A FEW YEARS."...NO APOLOGY, NO ROOM DISCOUNT OFFER WHEN ASKED FOR A DISCOUNT DUE TO FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. THE BATHROOM LIGHT BUZZED & FLASHED SO BAD ( ELECTRICAL FIRE HAZARD) WE COULDN'T USE THE LIGHT AT ALL. (TOOK VIDEO FOR PROOF.) COULD ACTUALLY FEEL THE FLOOR (1ST FLOOR, GROUND LEVEL) MOVING UNDERNEATH OUR FEET BC IT WAS SO UNSTABLE. ROOM SMELLED OF MILDEW. NOTIFIED CHECKOUT STAFF OF THESE ISSUES PRIOR TO LEAVING, JUST SAID, "OK." STAYED HERE SEVERAL TIMES DURING BASEBALL TOURNAMENTS PRIOR TO COVID & HAD NO COMPLAINTS...WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE NOW! NOT SURE IF IT'S UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT, BUT DEFINITELY NEEDS MUCH IMPROVEMENTS, ESPECIALLY FOR ELECTRICAL HAZARDS & POTENTIAL INJURY FOR UNSTABLE FLOORS. (BOOKED VIA HOTELS.COM, WHICH ALSO HAD THE SAME OUTDATED PICS. RESERVATION WAS PREAUTHORIZED & WE CHECKED IN LATE AT NIGHT, SO WE DIDN'T GO TO ANOTHER HOTEL, DESPITE THE HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT IN THE LACK OF INDOOR POOL OR WATERPARK, ROOM CONDITION & CUSTOMER SERVICE.) *COULDN'T UPLOAD THE PHOTOS TO THIS REVIEW.

It wasn’t the worst place I’ve ever stayed, but it could have been better. My comforter was dirty & we didn’t realize it until right before check out. The property was in extremely poor condition. The pool was drained and surrounded by boxes. The men’s bathroom had a urinal torn off the wall, and the trash was overflowing with fire extinguisher tags. The building looked unsafe—walls were visibly bowing, windows were broken, and none of the rooms had curtains. We also saw people loitering near the building, which added to the feeling of insecurity. Because we were traveling with our two-year-old, we made the difficult decision to leave. All other hotels nearby were booked due to local graduations, so we drove through the night. We received no service and were left with no safe place to stay. This hotel should not be listed on any booking site until major safety and service issues are resolved. It was completely misrepresented online and should not be offered as a lodging option in its current state.

Now, let's talk about the room. The only positive: the bed was large and fairly comfortable. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The room was far from clean -- dirty underwear from a previous guest and what appeared to e a bloody washcloth were left on the floor. The toilet barely flushed, and when I tried to use the shower, the faucet literally fell off. To top it all off, the sheets and bedding where stained and had cigarette burns. The only reason I stayed here was because I was attending a college graduation and all other nearby hotels were fully booked. This experience taught me a valuable lesson: never stay anywhere with less than three starts. You truly get what you pay for. I would never recommend this to anyone else.

The young lady at check in was very nice. But this is an old hotel, and it has not been updated. At first glance it looks to be clean, but you can see dirt and wear around the lamps, around the bathtub, around the sink. There was a stink bug in my sink, and there was a millipede crawling on the bathroom floor. Also, the exterior door of the hotel which is supposed to be opened only with your key card was not locked at any point during our stay. So anyone from anywhere could gain access to the interior of the hotel and, therefore, the rooms. We were given the adjoining rooms that I asked for. We did not arrive at the hotel until 1:00 a.m., and we left at 9:00 a.m. so I suppose that $80 a room was a good price for 8 hours of using the room. As a one-time stay, I was disappointed, but I slept through the whole thing, so I guess I can't complain too much. But I would definitely not use this as a base hotel.

At check in i was greeted with RUDE service and demand for a cash deposit of $200 when its usually $50 and only when i pay cash directly through them. I literally spent all i the money i had for my son to have a place to sleep tonight due to unfortunate circumstances. Regardless of that he continued talking rudely and loudly demanding deposit in cash and when i walked out to tell my husband he goes in and the guy starts telling him that people have complained on me from our last visit in dec and one guest claimed i had a foul mouth and kept offering to prostitute myself to him and he refused but was extremely uncomfortable. That never happened i never leave any place without my husband and i definitely don't do what he suggested. The man gave my family a ferret and my son a cool remote control truck. Pretty sure they had me mixed up with my sister but again not the point. Manager told my husband if he gets one complaint or hears something or sees something he don't like he's tossing my family out and having me arrested. He puts us in a room in an area mostly secluded and in back of building where the entire time we have been harrassed by people hitting our door and windows, attempted to come inside multiple times while my husband and i sat up watching our son

The room itself was filthy and reeked of smoke (despite being non-smoking), the sheets were dirty/stained, the towels were yellowish and threadbare, the bathroom fixtures were falling off the walls and broken, the carpet and bedspread were stained and covered with cigarette burns, the main light when you entered was burned out so I had to enter a pitch black room, the deadbolt didn't engage, and the peep hole was empty and filled in with toilet paper. Outside of my room, all of the exterior doors I saw were hanging open and the locks were duct taped over and there were wide open or broken windows along the rear wall of the abandoned indoor water park and pool, so literally anyone could have walked or climbed in. I have many photos to back all of this up. Finally, my room had a door to an adjoining room, and the people next door came back messed up, shouting and laughing at 4 AM, so I finally gave up trying to sleep and got out of there as early as possible.

Was very nosy for being inside access.. also we had to change rooms 3 times due to the 1st room the heat didnt work and the bathtub stayed stopped up.the second room the tv and phone and alarm and lamps didnt work plus the lid to the toliet tank was broken and half missing and the toliet wouldnt flush... also we couldn't have any visitors at all. So our family wasnt able to visit with us even tho they were staying at the same hotel. Then we booked an extra night but they still forced us to check out at 11am or pay an additional $70 for early check in which is so dumb when ur already checked into the room and just added an additional night stay to ur trip.. Also the website does not tell u or say anything about $150 cash deposit only upfront to even be able to check in.. even if uve already paid for ur room in full.. If u dint have the $150 in cash they wont check u in or refund the money you paid for the room.. all if thia should be on the information on the booking aite and wasn't... the staff was also very rude.. we will nit be staying here again...

The place is a shell of a business surrounding a broken down empty pool, hot tub and playground area. The night staff is horrendous and charges cash for guest assistance

I don’t know where they took the pictures they show of this place and it’s rooms on expedia but let me assure u that it isn’t anywhere near what the pictures show. This place is run down, musky, moldy, and dirty. The rooms were supposed to be non smoking but smelled musky and the comforters had cigarette burns in them. We came in for a football game and got 2 rooms at check in. I filled out paperwork and got keys for both rooms but apparently the clerk only charged my card for one room and blew my phone up while we were at the game asking for payment for the 2nd room. When we returned after the game, both room keys had been deactivated even tho one had been fully paid. I would not recommend staying here nor will I ever do so again. Overall, not a good experience.

A rundown disaster of a property. Lots of vagrants in the parking lot. Was scared and I usually don’t care as long as it’s clean. No hot water. Comforter had cigarette burns and several other holes where it looks like the cigarette burns were cut out.

This hotel is run down. We didn't have a choice where we were staying but it would not have been this place. The water parked has been closed for who knows how long. There is a constant smell going around. There was a window blown out and covered with a tarp. Half the applicences didn't work. The AC leaked if you went below 68. All the lamps are rusty. It's not a clean place and I do not recommend it for anyone. Oh and the key cards deactivate randomly so you have to constantly go back to the first desk. Not pleasent

For what I paid it was ok. I just needed a place to spend the night. For reference though, the room could use some work. A/C barely worked, room smelled like smoke, tv worked intermittently, it all was just kind of beat up. Just needs a little tlc. The bed was clean and very comfortable though. And that’s mainly what I needed.

Our first room we were offered was filthy. There were "love" stains on the sheets, plugs that came out of the wall, and an air conditioner that didnt work. Plus it was on the Second floor and there was no elevator. We were told there were no first floor rooms available at check in. When we complained about the room and requested a refund to leave, suddenly there was a first floor updated room available for us. It was much cleaner but the door still stuck and had to be shoved to open. The security doors in the halls didnt lock. The lobby doors had the locks drilled out and they locked them using a bicycle lock. Never again.

My stay was awful. The room smelled horrible, turns out it was mold inside the a/c unit. The unit leaked and poured water the whole time and the smell just got worse. I am allergic to all molds so I had a hard time. I honestly want my money back but I know that probably won’t happen. I won’t be staying there again.

Upon check in I was told I had to pay a $50 room deposit and a $20 pet fee in cash. I was ok with the deposit but they wphld only accept cash. It was refunded to me but they would not charge the deposit to my card. Luckily I happened to bave cash because i normally do not carry cash. I was given room 125. I had to go park in the back of the building and walk through a scary dark parkinglot full of potholes. The railing oitside to go down the stairs was wabbly and unstable. The room did NOT look like the pictures on hotels.com. The lock on the door had loose screws on the bolt. The bathroom was dirty andbthe door was damaged. The door to the dresser was on the floor and the lamp did not work. This room was nasty. I wiped everything down with Lysol wipes. I want a refund because this room was NOT worth the $149 I paid for ONE night. There were people walking in and out of the building smoking week and cigarettes and drinking outside.

My recent stay at the OYO Hotel in Knoxville, TN, was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I checked in, the front desk clerk was incredibly welcoming, remembering me from a previous visit which added a personal touch to my experience. His commitment to ensuring a quiet and comfortable stay was evident, and his guidance on parking was most helpful. The cleanliness and ambiance of the hotel were commendable, and the cheerful demeanor of the staff upon checkout left a lasting impression. The value for the price paid was excellent, solidifying my preference for OYO Hotels for future accommodations.

NEVER got there due to an unforeseen car breakdown in the mountains!! They REFUSED to reimburse the $79 but maybe it’s a blessing in disguise from all the TERRIBLE reviews written online ! It would have been my 1st time staying there, but I’ll consider sleeping in my car instead of ever sitting foot in there. I’ll also make sure to tell everyone I know to not consider OTO.

I flew in for my daughter’s labor and needed a motel close to the hospital. The room was exactly what u pay for. It’s not priced to be like the Ritz so don’t expect it to be! Staff was very accommodating! The room served its purpose and I slept quite well! If u want the Ritz, make a reservation there! Again, u get what u pay for!

There was nothing about this property that was good. This place should be condemed. Expedia should be sued for not doing the due dillence of how bad this property is. All the pictures for this site were fakes. No one should stay there. I left this hotel after 2 hours because of the smell and went to another hotel without receiving any refund from the owner who was one of the ruddest people I have meet .NO ONE SHOULD STAY AT THIS HOTEL UNTIL EXPEDIA DOES A REVIEW OF STANDANDS FOR THE SITE THEY ARE PROMOTING.

Heat was a problem in my room on the first night. The front desk kid did what he could short of moving me to another room but unfortunately it didn't fix my problem and I was the first night without heat. In the morning they came and looked again at my heat source then kindly moved me to another room. If it were the dead of winter this could have been problematic but given it was the start of fall I was no worse for the wear. After all that's what blankets are for.

The room had no heat, the lamps were rusted and I was afraid to plug anything in them as it is a fire hazard. Our smoke detector had no batteries, it smelled of funk, a broken mirror, and the sheets were not clean. I could not get my money back so we were forced to stay the night. The pictures online were extremely deceiving. Not worth the money and not safe. NEVER STAY HERE! They also had a certified Bed Bug Safe certificate dated August 2023….which means they had bed bugs at one point. Horrific experience. Never ever again. I would post pictures if I could. This place should be shut down.
