It was minutes from downtown. It has an open concept and a pool. The price was good, room just ok. It did suit or needs for the graduation action evening. Don’t take any food or coffee from the breakfast lobby. There’s a chance you won’t get your deposit back. There are signs everywhere and staff will not remind you. Thankfully they didn’t charge us for brining or coffee to the room. Coffee is not mentioned on the sign.

I liked that i didnt have a room by a lot of people or on the second floor The girl was a little rude as she shoved the idea of saving me money down my throat as she put it. She seemed like I was giving her attitude but she was more touchy
- 2.5/5
I informed them by message that I would not be able to arrive on the scheduled date because my flight was canceled. Despite this, I was still charged for the first night. In addition, Booking.com had already charged me, and then I was charged again at the hotel, resulting in a double charge. I have not received any refund yet.

The a/c heater unit in my room did not work. We drove almost 1000 miles and were too tired. Luckily the weather was not too hot or cold. There was hair on the bathroom floor. Again we were so tired that we just went to bed.
- 2/5
Smell was really bad. Room was not clean, especially the shower and toilet! Nothing to eat for breakfast. Very noisy at night. Walk up so many times during the night.

Clean, easy access, economical.

Felt a little unsafe. Property didn’t look well kept. The person who checked me in was wonderful. When I got to my room it smelled bad. The bed and bathroom were clean. I would only stay here again if I had no other choice. The couch in the room was torn & tattered too.
- 0.5/5
Booked after midnight and the date shifted wrong. Front desk said they’d handle the cancellation, so I paid for the correct stay directly. Management denied it anyway and I got charged twice for one night. Nobody took responsibility. Terrible service.

The room was in really poor conditon. Chipped paint rusty fixtures and chairs that belong in the dumpster I asked for a refund and was told to stay one night until the (supplier) was reached to agree to the refund. After one night it was denied.
- 3/5
Half a box of kleenex wasn't what I needed. The room needs a makeover. The door has a lot of lighting around its edges meaning it energy efficiency is terrible, but it does let outside sound through.

Close to Neyland Stadium Property was dirty. Looked old needs updating.

Bad smell, saw a few roaches. Mattresses and pillows Sucked. The bedding was way too thin.

- 3/5
The hotel was nice, but the area was a little concerning. Lots of people hanging around the property and wandering around the parking lot. Just not what I am used to.
- 5/5
Rooms were nice, spacious, and well maintained. Kind and helpful staff, especially the later night crew who we saw most. Exactly what we needed for a few nights in town attending a music festival.
- 2/5
Flooring was awful. Breakfast was joke omg
- 3/5
Never will stay there again
- 1/5
My room door lock failed. And one of the staff had the gall to say it was I kept the room too warm, when the bed covers were so thin that I could not sleep.
- 1/5
We left and are looking forward to a refund
- 5/5
Only there one night but very comfortable
- 1/5
The room was not just unclean—it was clearly not serviced at all. The sheets were stained and not properly fitted. The floors were visibly dirty with debris throughout, and none of the surfaces appeared to be wiped down. The towels had black debris and looked like worn rags. Only one bar of soap and a small bottle of shampoo were provided. Several items were damaged or in poor condition. The coffee maker was rusted, the armchair and desk chair had exposed material and foam, and the lamp shades were stained. The refrigerator was missing shelves and rattled loudly when running. The beds were uncomfortable due to uneven, sloped frames, and the heater was inconsistent, making the room too hot or too cold. We were unable to sleep and decided to leave early. The front desk experience during checkout was also unacceptable. When I requested proof of early checkout, the staff member (Niki) was argumentative and dismissive, stating, “I just started my shift, don’t start with me.” She spoke condescendingly, rushed through the system, refused to check sections I asked about, and provided no documentation. This was a complete failure in cleanliness, maintenance, and professionalism. I will be pursuing this further through Expedia.

I totally forgot I booked this and never made it to the hotel!
- 2/5
No hot water, tv did not work and air was not working as well.
- 3/5
The room was freezing cold
- 3/5
Curious staff, old rooms not a lot of traffic that goes to this location. Quite, rooms little older but if your looking for place to rest I would recommend. A lot cheaper than surround offers.
- 1/5
The front desk staff was polite and super friendly HOWEVER we only had one pillow on the bed and 2 towels. When we asked for more towels we were told they couldn’t get us any. 2 towels for 4 people. Outlets were broken, tv didn’t work properly, tiles missing from bathroom, and the tub didn’t work. We made do, but would not recommend staying here.
- 4/5
Ac worked well
- 5/5
Nice value hotel. Clean. Friendly staff. Thanks
- 1/5
I left a coat in the room when I checked out and I called the front desk about 1and half hours after I left to see if they could mail it to me and I would pay shipping cost. The guy at the desk said he would have to check with the manager and call back. I never received a call back. The rooms are in bad shape, especially the bathroom.
- 2/5
The staff is great The room was in much need of repairs. There were roaches. The lighting was not good. Towels and rags were clean but stained. . This was the second time staying there within a year. The first room has no issues...
- 4/5
Only minutes from downtown and UT. Also convenient to all major thoroughfares in and around Knoxville.
- 2/5
The picture on the wall had paint on the frame. The pillows were uncomfortable. I asked the desk clerk for more pillows and none were brought to our room. We had to get our room keys reactivated three times.
- 2/5
This red roof inn has wifi problem during my visit. Wifi connection is essential to my work on the go, I first thought it was room location related, I went to front desk and switched a room, wifi was still not working. The chair in the room has lether skin falling apart, bath tub switch was not working. One the bedsheet had ink marks and some red marks on it. I would say go for another hotel that is marked 10 dollars more for the stay.
- 1/5
Reserved room online, pre-paid for entire stay. Called ahead of time bc we were gonna be past the check in time and let them know when we was going to be there. They said it was no problem and said they left a note. Got there to check in, they had no available rooms even though we prepaid. Had to give us a king size one bed room when we reserved 2 queen beds. Staff was very rude about it as well and not at all apologetic. Will not be staying here again.
- 1/5
We ended up not sleeping there become the room was smelly damp and moldy
- 2/5
2. Everything in this hotel is shop worn and worn out. It is am embarrassment to stay at.
- 5/5
The room was very clean, brand new bathroom, staff was very attentive. Great option for the price especially on game day weekend. Short uber ride to UTK and the hotel was offering complimentary uber rides on game day, a very nice touch. Overall this is a great option when you just need a place to sleep.
- 5/5
Everything it works fine. The room is very clean. Excellent staff. Check in was very quick. The front desk staff was very professional.
- 5/5
Todo esta muy bien exelente atencion solo una cosita pienso que el filtro del aire necesita cambiarlo el de esa habitacion por lo demas todo exelente
- 3/5
This place was priced right. But it needs an extensive renovation. It wasnt clean.
- 3/5
The property was very outdated and the room smelled musty. The shower was dirty. The beds were not comfortable. The breakfast was poor.

Staff were friendly and helpful. I needed a ground floor and got one. It was close to the highway. Hotel was clean looking on the outside. Pool was open but didn't use it.Looked maintained and clean looking

- 1/5
Somebody misrepresented the price ...Expedia, or Red Roof. Just great after driving 10 hours straight.... I slept in the car .
- 1/5
My bed did not have blankets and the pool chairs were broken. Was woken up by a dog barking in one of the rooms for hours.
- 5/5
Bed was comfortable
- 1/5
The room was filthy…. Ceiling falling in and on the bed, pillow had what looked like a booger on it. There was feces in the toilet. There was blood on the bathroom door. There were missing tiles with mold. There were holes in the wall. Lights out in the bathroom. Showed pics to the front desk and all she asked was if I wanted another room. Denied me a refund. I will blast this to everyone I know and every platform I can.
- 4/5
Rooms need a little work. They charge 15.00 dollars a piece for my family to go in the pool.
- 1/5
In addition, I showed a picture of a cockroach to the front desk receptionist. I usually stay at Red Roof hotels, but after this experience, I will never return to this location.
- 5/5
Recently renovated clean and in a safe neighborhood. Great hotel.
- 5/5
The property was nice
- 2/5
The space was mostly clean, but smelled damp. Sheets and bathroom clean, but pillow was extremely hard. Complimentary breakfast was completley depleted of food when we came down at 7:45 AM. Juice machine put of order. No batter for the waffles. No milk for cereal. No coffee. Employee walked in, and saw everything was empty, and did not refill. The lady who check us in at the desk was wonderful, but the morning staff was rude and ignored us when we asked for more food for the breakfast bar. You absolutely get what you pay for here.
- 4/5
The place is ok for the money you pay. The smell in the room wasn’t the best though.
- 3/5
We were shocked to have to place a 100 deposit, it is not on the website. Breakfast only had toast and cereal with a waffle. No fresh fruit, yogurt or variety of items.
- 3/5
This property has the basics of a place of where to lay your head for the night. You get what you pay for the price. There is no warm breakfast.
- 4/5
Was ok for pet friendly. Remodeled older motel. Lots of cut corners. This area of Knoxville is very dated and run down.
- 4/5
Great staff
- 5/5
It was a very clean and comfortable hotel/room
- 3/5
Walls were paper thin. We could hear every word of the neighbors conversation. The couch was faux leather and the exterior was peeling off. Pillows were flat with no support. Between the uncomfortable bed and noise with the hotel, there was no rest.
- 4/5
Friendly people great location, beds are a little firm. Overall nice stay.
- 4/5
Should have been more towels and soap for 3 adults over 2 nights. We had to go to the desk to request extra. Additionally, our room keys had to be reprogramed after the first night even though the reservation was for 2 nights.
- 4/5
Honestly surprised it was so nice for the price ($58/night). Quick overnight stay on the way to Ft Worth TX... Wil stay again!
- 5/5
Booked for graduation weekend. Exactly what we needed. Nicki at the front desk was great and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
- 2/5
Filthy
- 3/5
This is an average older Red Roof Inn. It's definitely showing signs of age, however, it was clean. The shower was hot, the AC worked fine along with the TV. The breakfast was nothing to write home about. A waffle iron and cold cereal. There was hot coffee, milk and juice along with muffins. That's it. Would I stay there again? For the price, probably. It's a 2 star and that's about it.
- 2/5
The room seemed clean; however, could use an update. The black tape on the bathtub is unacceptable.
- 1/5
Full of roaches. Staff wouldn’t give us our money back when we left at 11PM and drove 2 hours back home so we wouldn’t have to stay in this terrible motel. Please don’t stay here.
- 3/5
The room was clean but there was no light in the bathroom vanity, and there were only two towels in a room for 4 people. Breakfast was very poor, there were only waffles and bread, no juice, no fruit, not even water to drink. Although I did not swim in the pool, it looked neglected.
- 3/5
Thank you
- 3/5
The price was decent but thats about it. Room needed major updates.
- 2/5
Sadly room looked ok. But bathroom was dirty. Toilet seat dirty, a hand towel had toothpaste in it. Wash cloth had something red like kool aid Door handle was jiggling-not secure We stayed a Friday night & extremely loud music played for quite a while in room above us-seemed like ‘regulars’
- 3/5
It was a perfect spot for a quick overnight stay however they had just remodeled the room that we were assigned to and there was no coffee pot. There is also no iron or ironing board in the room., overall you get what you paid for it was nice and clean and serve the purpose for one night!!
- 4/5
We were pleasantly surprised with how clean the room appeared, especially liked the hardwood floors as ya never know what carpets are hiding! Beyond this, my only complaints would be the extremely THIN comforters and the sketchy looking tub, as if I were the owner would sand down & reglaze all those that looked dirty, dinge or chipped. Other than that, the staff was friendly and helpful, thanks!
- 4/5
Good affordable hotel.
- 2/5
The price was good. The room was clean. The blow dryer didn't work the coffee maker didn't work. The only drink option at breakfast was coffee--no cold water or juice. No bread. Staff unfriendly/unhelpful. The waffle batter dispenser exploded all over my daughter. No one apologized.
- 1/5
This is an unacceptable security breach that put my safety and privacy at risk. At no point did the staff call my room to confirm whether I had authorized this individual to enter. It is shocking that a hotel would be so careless with guest security. To make matters worse, after bringing this issue to their attention, the hotel refused to refund my deposit—despite their clear negligence. This level of irresponsibility and lack of accountability is disgraceful for any hospitality business. If you value your safety and privacy, stay somewhere else. This hotel clearly does not prioritize guest security, and their unprofessionalism is unacceptable I recently stayed at this hotel on March 20th in Room 230, and I had an alarming experience that I cannot overlook. During my stay, hotel staff gave a key to my room to an unverified visitor without my permission or any form of identification. Not only did they provide a key, but they also disclosed my room number to this person. This is an unacceptable security breach that put my safety and privacy at risk. At no point did the staff call my room to confirm whether I had authorized this individual to enter.
- 3/5
Floor dirty so wear socks until bedtime. Pressure in shower nonexistent so showered under a dribble but a little later husband had normal shower pressure. Don't get excited about breakfast, it's just white toast, blueberry mini muffin, 3 types of cold cereal, waffles with syrup. No butter for the toast or waffles. No juice or fresh fruit.
- 5/5
Very nice place to stay for a nigth and continue the trip after.
- 1/5
Toliet would not flush we stayed 2 days and called to have it fixed but after 1 flush tore up again. Door would shut because lock was broke they left a screw to jimmy lock the door. I felt very unsafe
- 5/5
It was very clean and quiet.
- 2/5
Honestly, i have a very mixed feelings about this hotel. I do travel a lot and stayed at different hotels, but this one was different. First of all i could not check in in a lobby, it wasn't late at all maybe 5 min before 9. Second of all had to talk through small window with no microphone, third of all had to pay $100 secure refundable deposit wich i wasn't aware of. Room was ok , but towel and sheet had pubic hair on it (very disgusting) Please don't relay on breakfast, it looked more like breakfast for homeless (shelter like) Before i checked out , front desk person had to go physically and check our room before releasing our deposit. Will i stay again here? NEVER!!! As i said it was very weird stay.
- 3/5
Deteriorated rooms
- 3/5
You get what you pay
- 2/5
-Cleanliness The check-in area was tidy. We reserved 2 rooms and both had a red dirty film on the floors (click flooring which can be tricky to mop) which I'm guessing is from trying to clean up after muddy boots since there were red clumps of dirt outside. The sheets and linens (after thorough inspection) were clean but thread barren. Black mold was starting above the shower in one room. Safety The surrounding area was run down but I didn't feel like I was imminent danger of being mugged. Hospitality Staff was average in this department. The morning desk person who was handling breakfast was definitely not energetic but no one was rude. Breakfast Even for a budget place this breakfast below average (3 out of 5 for me is cereal, oats, waffle maker, juice, coffee, tea). 2 types of cereal from tower dispensers and that was it. If I was to stay in this area again, it would not be here.
- 1/5
Dirty, smelly, stained sheets,
- 1/5
Would not stay here again
- 3/5
The staff is money hungry. I booked a double standard size queen beds with a max capacity of 4 people. They still took $15 for each extra guess 2 others) because they said it shouldn’t be more than 2 people to a room. Well why have the option online? Bathrooms need remodeling and walls need to be wipe. Cigarette burns under the mattresses on both beds. Lady who was one of the cleaners got upset and had an attitude because we asked for more towels. I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying here. Worst 24hrs ever spent at a hotel!
- 1/5
Upon checking in the staff was non attentive and more concerned on listening to their ear pods then they were with the checking in guest. Upon entering the room it had obvious spots of dirt and mud on the bathtub/shower and bathroom sink area. There were multiple stink bugs on the wall and ceiling that were noticeable to anyone cleaning the room. The physical door to the outside had a gap of noticeable size allowing light, noise, whatever in. The bolt lock to the door would not secure to the frame and we had to Wedge furniture in the door to assure safety. The tv had no connection to cable, satellite whatever the property uses. Multiple electrical ouutlets did not work and only two lights out of the 8 lights in the room actually worked. Had it not been returning after midnight from our event and that we paid, I would have immediately canceled the room and driven back home (over 5 hours). My teenage sons felt so unsafe and unclean that they slept in their clothes on top of the beds. I am so appalled by this experience that i am strongly contemplating contacting Red Roof Corporate, which is in my hometown, to request some level of reimbursement as well as I strongly urge Expedia to remove this location from their offerings so as to not damage your corporate reputation due to this association.
- 5/5
A bit rundown but economical.
- 3/5
When we checked in the woman was very rude. When I tried to ask her a question she was very short with me. There was a bra on the ground outside our room and I told the staff and they just left it there.
- 5/5
Was ok to stay , for what everyone was charging price gouging hotels for the Tennessee/Alabama game.
- 5/5
For the price this is a good option. It is clean and the rooms have LVF, which is much nicer than carpet. The area feels safe and it’s a quick ride to UTK. When you only need the hotel to sleep and don’t care about the amenities this is a good choice.
- 1/5
2nd room was somewhat better but still housekeeping could use some training. Local people told us that we where in a bad part of Knoxville they called it hookerville.
- 1/5
There was cockroaches in the room and I left one day early because I could not take it. I am going to contact the management for my money back as I could not even finish my trip or even invite my children to stay with me while visiting. I had to bag all my things and get them professionally cleaned. It was not the service as the room was as clean as it could be for being old; however, the management needs to take care of the bugs.
- 4/5
It was very clean & comfortable. Enjoyed our stay.
- 4/5
This place is a good place if and when you need to place to stay and rest your head. All of the staff was very friendly.
- 4/5
The property took care of what we needed since only there to sleep.
- 4/5
Staff were friendly.
- 1/5
Dirty room, shower had duct tape holding the tub together. Loud locals in the parking area, horrible sleep..Total Getto
- 5/5
4.5 stars out 5 rating bc the property was great exception of few minor details. Towels were thin and only 2 per room, blankets on the bed were thin as sheets, ac worked great but was a little loud. But if you are just resting your head for a quick place to sleep, then for the price this is a great place to stay. The pool was exceptional.Front staff was very friendly and quick service.
- 5/5
Easy check in and out. Front desk receptionist very kind and offered the best room possible.
- 1/5
I think it really sucks that I had to cancel my reservation due to a family emergency and they would not refund my money I will never use this service again. And I will advise all my friends and family
- 4/5
The room was good and cleaning, we check in around 2 am. only problem the room is beside of the laudry room, around 8 am. A lot noise and talking loud the housekeper , we can not sleep after that.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff. Clean room. Great experience
- 1/5
Literally the grossest place I’ve ever stayed. And the first initial encounter with the receptionist was very rude. Will literally never go back to a Red Roof
- 3/5
The lady at the front desk was amazing. The room however was not. It smelled of cigarette smoke. The bed covers, sheets and mattress cover had cigarette burns. We had a room with 2 queen beds, I requested new sheets for one due to stains. It was brown stains that I was uncomfortable sleeping on.
- 5/5
I liked that the location was easy to find. The staff was rude but the property was clean.
- 4/5
Very clean. Nice pool! Very bright and safe. Staff very helpful! Would stay there again
- 1/5
They made the bed but the pillows weren’t in where it’s supposed to be,The dirty tissue everywhere, on the bed,on top of the counter, in the sink,,, We were very tired after all day on the road, so we just clean for ourselves to rest, after taking the shower we realized the hair dryer wasn’t working, we called the front desk, and they said they would send tech to fix it on the next morning 😢 Then the breakfast, only cereal, a few of slices of sandwich, old muffins,, Coffee, orange juice, apple juice… That’s all they served….. So poor service, and staff was not friendly at all ,,. The first time I book with Red Roof Inn and absolutely the last time.
- 1/5
They was not going to give us a deposit back. We said we have four people in the room, which was not true. Told them they could look back on the cameras. There are several other people in the rooms asking us to if we did drugs trying to sell us drugs so there’s drug dealers that stay there.. Never once asked us if we needed anything and then when I went to get breakfast, told me I could not write this one star will never go back. The lady upfront was very rude and kept using hand gestures to get me out talking with her hands more or less and she was a very smart lady
- 2/5
For the amount of money this place cost it was very dirty and looked run down. They made me put down a 100 dollar deposit which was not advertise. The front lobby was locked and you had to everything througha window. After i was leaving the host was sleeping behind the desk and it took me 20 minutes to wake her up by knocking on the window.
- 4/5
It was a one night stay as we traveled through. The fact that they accept pets is HUGE with us. Room was clean and comfortable. A great value for the price paid. Would definitely stay again and definitely would recommend. It is a sketchy area, but this place was good to go.
- 1/5
Looked like nothing had even been dusted and the bathroom fan sounded like it was broken and loud as all hell.
- 2/5
Ialso have issues with trfree wifi. It was adult protected so mmuch that i couldnt shop fir underwear on Amazon. As i said, the hotel wasnt bad, But i am an adult, my parents are deceased. I thi k. I can pick out what i need to watch and if i want a friend to visit, i should be allowed to.
- 5/5
My room was very clean and no issues at all. I wil stay here again.
- 3/5
All the staff was noce except for one lady she was very rude she always worked day shift
- 1/5
The room had bugs in it. They even had the room on a list that had bugs and they still put us in it. We have requested a refund and are still waiting.
- 1/5
After i made my reservation they told me i have to pay a deposit when iv stated I have stayed before an didn't have to pay. An they didnt give me a refund. For the room
- 1/5
Lobby has no working bathroom & there are towels shoved under the doors to keep bugs out. Our room reeked of mold and it made me sick after the first night. Shouting guests and animal noises kept us awake late at night & honking cars & construction woke us up in early morning. “Breakfast” was a stack of white bread slices and some fruit loops, with a sign saying you can’t take it to your room. There were only 2 tiny stained bath towels for 2 guests. There were no blankets on the beds, just a top sheet. Door handle and lock to our room was broken and we had to be let in by staff who stood there blaming us for not knowing how to use the key. After second night I was so sick from the stinking mold that we checked out early and went to another hotel. This place is an abomination. Stay away for your health and safety.
- 5/5
VERY KIND AND NICE
- 1/5
I’m a 74-year-old business traveler. Demanding it deposit for damages was an absolute insult. I have stayed in thousands of hotels all over the country. No one’s ever treated me like this. Therefore, I will never stay in a red roof again and I’ll find out what other brands are in the chain and I’ll block them also. Thank this location and belligerent staff for my position.
- 2/5
Good location, but room wasn’t clean (picked up hair and contacts off floor right in main area. Heavily stained chit in room. TVs apparently reset to factory setting when turned off and front desk knew this. Had to come to room to reprogram tv for us… took over 30min. NOT what want to do when arrive after all day driving. Then when went to turn on next day, same thing!! She acted like no big deal.

This place is an abomination. Stay away for your health and safety.

This place is spotless and very well updated and kept. The exterior is well cared for. Pool crystal clear. Quiet. Comfortable beds. A fantastic place especially for the price. Note- the pool closes earlier than you might expect. 8pm

Road noise very loud including multiple sirens that prevented sleep. I left at 2:45 am to drive to a rest area to sleep. Entire area smelled like an Indian meal being cooked. Staff seems to include multiple family members. I will NEVER EVER stay in a Red Roof Inn. I would rather sleep in a rest area.

Beware of this Red Roof Inns Incidentals deposit practice which will tie up your money for at least a week or two. While most Hotels.com hotels respect the organization to forego incidentals deposit authorizations, those that do ‘scan-a-card’ only pre-authorize a charge that releases in a day or two. This Red Roof Inn actually charges your card and processes it. Then when you find it and complain ( days later) they claim to issue a refund when confronted. This is a very bad business practice.

Safety is an issue. Lots of drug traffic. Some room doors dont lock properly. My room was not acceptable, mold ,dirty tub duct tape in tub. Feces in floor.. ceiling had been wet. Paint peeling.

Quick stay as we were traveling south to Florida. Could definitely have used more pillows and towels.

The property canceled my reservation when they had my credit card on file. They said they tried to call me a couple times in the evening, but I was at my son's graduation ceremony so I was left with no hotel for myself and my kids.
