We loved the whole vibe which was casual, comfortable, beautifully maintained and just felt like a traditional inn. The location was just what we were looking for, so walkable and close to the beach. There was nothing we didn’t like.

Our hostess was very nice, and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious also Lots of light through the windows at night, hard to sleep if you’re used to complete darkness
- 5/5
Breakfast freshly made every morning. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Within walking distance of the beach and several restaurants made our stay very nice. Had a great experience overall!

The TV. Couldn't figure out how to change the language back to english.

Bedding was to soft

We loved the authentic old school Long Beach feel of the neighborhood. The house was beautiful, and the owners were amazing hosts.
- 5/5
Pat has a beautiful home and it’s a welcoming space
- 5/5
Super cute and comfy. Lack of parking
- 5/5
The staff and setting was absolutely incredible. Id make a trip back to Long Beach solely to stay at Beachrunner. Truly one of the most pleasant, welcoming experiences I've had in a great many years. I might add too that I was NOT expecting the very classical style of BnB that this is but I was beyond pleased once I came to terms with things. 11/10 No AC makes it hot all the time and can make sleeping difficult.
- 4/5
Charming house and facilities. Friendly and excellent staff.
- 5/5
It was just like being home ?

Quaint family run B&B. Convenient for Long Beach and close to restaurants.
- 5/5
It was very well kept and in a quiet location. We walked to the pizza place across the street. Miss Pat was very pleasant and hospitable and made a delicious breakfast with many choices every morning. I would absolutely recommend this place. The shower head-

Just Loved it. Great location and breakfasts

Great location to explore long beach or pre or post cruise. Lovely host with excellent suggestions on where to dine.
- 5/5
Pat was a great hostess. Our breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. Loved the 112 year old home with beautiful furniture. Would definitely recommend.

Very comfortable king bed Lovely heritage building Very nice breakfast area Nothing
- 5/5
Owner was very sweet and helpful
- 5/5
Beautiful, quiet, property. Very cozy inside. Small rooms, but cozy and well done. We picked Laguna room because it had a bath. Hosts were very nice and polite. Breakfast was very good. Would stay again.
- 3.5/5
Great location. Full breakfast. Friendly owners. Fluffy towels. The room was freezing. I didn't find a space heater until the last day. Old bed/mattress. No sink in the bathroom. Thin walls. I could hear other guests snoring.
- 5/5
Located in a wonderful and walkable safe area close to the beach. Included breakfast was a nice touch.
- 5/5
Lovely property. Great location! If I could change anything it would be the mattress. Toooooo soft.
- 5/5
Super clean arts and crafts style cottage just a couple blocks from the Pacific Ocean and beach, huge park, and several restaurants. Parking is included off the street--which is a big deal in Long Beach. Very restful nights. Breakfast portions could have been larger; though I suppose we could have asked for more food. Didn't think of it :-(
- 5/5
I liked the whole house. Very cozy feel. The breakfast was delicious. The parking was rough to find and extremely small parking spaces..
- 5/5
Historic, central, clean, close to beach N/A
- 4.5/5
The mattress felt a bit worn, could use an update. But we slept very well.
- 5/5
I’m not a big fan of Long Beach in general, but discovered 4th St on my last day which changed everything - very cool strip of independent shops and eateries. Lunch at El Barrio Cantina was outstanding.
- 4.5/5
The breakfast was very good. The facilities were very pleasant and comfortable. I was especially happy with the parking arrangements, close and easy to find.
- 5/5
The room was comfortable - with a ceiling fan which we kept on at all times. This was fine for October - but I’m not sure if it would have been sufficient during July. Breakfast was nice and, since this is a small property, we always ate on our own - but the table was set for more guests. There wasn’t anything immediately handy - but within a reasonable walk. Things to know if you book here. Make a point of checking your room NAME on your booking. We met and tried to assist a couple who arrived the next night - who had the entry code for the property (which is the same for your room BTW). They didn’t know which room it was and the desk isn’t manned full time. However, Pat did come through after a few minutes and got them sorted. Parking was fine and the instructions they send you are clear to follow. The free parking and breakfast included - along with a good price was why we chose here over the chain hotels which were closer to the ‘action’ of Long Beach. We ended up driving to some of the places and parking - which I still think made this an around good choice. Room was quiet & TV had access to the usual streaming platforms - just remember to log out when you leave - unlike a previous guest who had our room.
- 5/5
Nothing that I can think of. My wife and I agreed that we would stay there again if we were going to that area.
- 5/5
This place was very cozy! Loved the outdoor patio! Love how close to restaurants, bars, the park, and the beach was! 100% recommend the acai place next door. Parking was free. It was peak of summer so it was warm. It is an older building but nothing this fellow central valley girl couldn't handle. I just know this place feels amazing in the spring! 10/10 recommend!
- 5/5
Property owner is a Gem....very friendly and willing to answer any questions....
- 5/5
Very nice comfortable home. Very clean. Free designated parking behind home. Much more convenient than a hotel, plus free parking and breakfast. Definately stay there for my next vusit to Long Beach.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay 😊 Great location in neighborhood with charming homes and walkable to 4th street vintage shops, vegan organic cafe, coffee shops etc…
- 5/5
very quite and lovely
- 5/5
Pat is the best host one could ask for at a bed and breakfast. The location was convenient for an event were attending, the food was delicious and the room and bed were comfortable. We enjoyed our stayed so much that we have booked a year in advance for next year's event.
- 5/5
Pat is a very nice lady. There is no air condition which was a surprise, but we were there in October so was okay with the windows open. The street was busy with traffic so bring ear plugs. The food was good.
- 5/5
Very friendly hosts. Delicious breakfast.
- 5/5
The daily expanded continental breakfast was a delightful start to my mornings, the broccoli quiche was my favorite! The complimentary coffee available all day was a great touch for caffeine lovers like myself. The location in scenic Belmont Heights was a beautiful neighborhood to explore! Additionally it offered easy access to both Orange and LA Counties, Being just 3 blocks from the ocean was a definite plus as I did take advantage with some beach time! The attention to detail and cleanliness in the guest rooms was evident. I was in the "Sunset Beach" room which was on the second floor. Having a television with cable and DVD in every room was a nice touch, although I didn’t have the need for them on this trip. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. I will note for readers that this room does face Broadway, which is a busy street even at night. The road noise could be too much for some. The room did come with earplugs which I used to have a very peaceful nights sleep. The free WiFi was much appreciated, allowing me to stay connected and attend to online business as needed. Overall, Beachrunners' Inn, with Jan and Courtney as its gracious hosts, provided quality lodgings with a genuine sense of comfort and hospitality. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a charming and relaxing place to stay in Long Beach
- 5/5
Pat provided a wonderful option for my stay in Long Beach. Great location, communication, breakfast.
- 5/5
The entire experience couldn’t have been better… stop browsing and book your stay at Beachrunners ! . book a room!
- 4/5
Pat, our host and owner of Beachrunners is awesome, friendly, and very helpful. The breakfasts were great and we found the other guests to be very quiet and amiable.
- 5/5
Cosy Inn with a comfortable, if small, bedroom. Delicious breakfast and friendly host. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
I loved the vibe of the house and how nice everyone was
- 5/5
Just what we needed! Pat is a very kind and lovely host. The garden was lovely for a bit of quiet! Great breakfast and coffee. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
This place was so lovely. Pat, one of the owners was delightful. Breakfast was such a beautiful spread in a relaxing setting. This is now my go to anytime im in Long Beach.
- 5/5
This was my first B&B!!! I loved it!!! The owner was wonderful and the room was fantastic! This was way better than some of the top rated hotels we stayed out! It is a beautiful are with a lot to see. We went to Catalina island which is also a fantastic experience. I highly recommend the wonderful Beachrunners Inn.
- 4/5
Our room- the Kennebec was quite small but she has a variety of rooms in her lively craftsman!
- 5/5
Charming property close to beach, shops and downtown. Accomodations were comfortable and service was friendly.
- 5/5
Nice location and helpful, friendly owners.
- 5/5
Lovely home. Tasty breakfast. Friendly host efficient service
- 5/5
Im glad I found this place. Thanks to Pat for being such a nice lady. Definitely on my list to stay when i go back to Long Beach. Overall good and safe place to stay.
- 5/5
Pat is a great host who we have stayed with before. The beach is only 2 blocks away and it is about a 20 minute walk to the Metro station.
- 5/5
Oh, and Pat goes above and beyond to ensure that her guests are comfortable and have everything they need. If you’re looking for a plain Long Beach (or just in the LA area for work like I was), you should stay here.
- 5/5
Wonderful location and home. 3 block walk to the Pacific!
- 4/5
The room was a little small for us.
- 5/5
Awesome and cozy. Great breakfast and personable staff.
- 5/5
Be advised, there is no air conditioning but there are ceiling fans in the guest rooms. The breakfasts were delicious and there are DVD's, books and games if you like. The beach is walking distance. I would definitely go back!
- 5/5
Welcoming & very friendly owner and staff, breakfast was fabulous, room was very clean, and nicely decorated, very quiet area around and 3 blocks to beach and several restaurants, pubs in walking distance.
- 5/5
Stately old home in a historic neighborhood an easy walk from the beach and multiple restaurants. Pat and her daughter are warm, welcoming and full of helpful suggestions about local restaurants and things to do. There are board games, books and movie DVDs to enjoy during your stay, and the breakfast provided was absolutely delicious! (freshly-made frittata, fruit salad, yogurt, toast, cereal, OJ, and coffee on the day we were there)
- 5/5
This is a true B&B. Host Pat was a wonderful delight who really cares about her guests and makes sure they are comfortable. She made us feel right at home. Breakfasts were delicious. She takes pride in her Inn and it shows. Very convenient location to shoreline and downtown. We highly recommend this place in Long Beach. Can't wait to stay there again.
- 5/5
The property is beautiful and quaint. The owner/operator is absolutely adorable, just like her property. The breakfast she made was so yummy. We loved the stay!
- 5/5
Breakfast is excellent. Room is clean. The owner is super nice and always available.
- 5/5
Location is good, but unfortunately I was working and wasn't able to explore much. Room was not too large, but clean and well kept. Pat is a class act all the way around.
- 5/5
I probably will never go to regular hotels any more. Very friendly, family oriented.
- 4/5
It was close to things we wanted to go to
- 5/5
As our first stay at the States the first impression of hospitality was very important for us. She made us feel welcomed and well looked after and safe. The location is very quiet and very close to the beach. Would come back and highly recommend.
- 5/5
Our stay was fantastic, the room was very comfortable and the property was very nice with plenty of sitting areas. It is less than 5 minutes to the beach and the art museum. The neighborhood is really nice and felt totally safe. We will be returning next time we are out in LA. Also breakfast was amazing!
- 5/5
Host was very friendly and made great breakfast each morning.
- 5/5
Pat was an excellent host. Her breakfast was awesome. Only 2 blocks to an awesome beach. We could see our cruise ship across the way. Will definitely go back next time we cruise out of Long Beach.
- 5/5
Incredibly charming!
- 5/5
The B&B proprietor was welcoming and friendly. She made my stay very comfortable. I would recommend Beachrunners Inn to anyone visiting Long Beach.
- 4/5
👍
- 3/5
The room was crowded and small. The temperature could not be easily controlled. No heat when door is closed. Fan in the window lets cold in all night. The noise in this room was too much. Heard everyone going by on the street. One of the other rooms would probably be nicer.
- 4/5
I have to try and stay again!
- 3/5
The room was very small. The shower head sprayed out the door and could not adjust down while waiting to warm up. You had to get in and hide in the corner so you can close the door. Once warm it was OK but drain was loose. Just pretty comic. Owner mentioned she would be around if we needed TP. Funny she mentioned it as we were out (there was little on the roll). Whole thing was odd. Quiet night's sleep though. Felt very safe. Owner was super nice. Maybe other rooms are better?
- 5/5
No questions, just book a night. The 1913 house offers a historical feel with an upgraded appeal. Oh that's good, I should have been in marketing. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
- 5/5
Who would have thought of a cozy B&B in Long Beach??? The hospitality can't be beat, and the wholesome feeling of being at home, cradled and loved. Please, please, please consider this place for your next stay in Southern Cal!!!
- 5/5
Such a cute place! Location is great! So many places to walk to. Walkable to Bixby park and to the beach! Breakfast is included! It’s homemade and sooo good! Definitely recommend this place.
- 4/5
Nice B&B in nice part of town. Friendly, helpful host. Room spacious and nicely appointed. Good breakfast served each morning.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay. The Inn was extremely comfortable, warm and welcoming in a great neighborhood.
- 5/5
This is a wonderful place to stay. It’s an oasis of peace and quiet in a wild city :) I felt very safe and at home. And Pat makes the best breakfasts. :) would highly recommend if you’re staying in Long Beach.
- 5/5
I liked that this was a historic residential area. Very lovely neighborhood. being that is was an older home the room was warm but not a problem. Beautiful all around! loved it.
- 5/5
We loved the quite neighborhood steps from the beach. Pat is a gracious host and a wonderful person which translates into this beautiful home. We enjoyed her company and her delicious breakfast. I lived blocks away in the 90s. I felt right at home!
- 5/5
Clean bedroom and bathroom Easy to find. Nice breakfast. Pat was very sweet and accommodating. Will definitely come back.
- 5/5
Lovely place
- 5/5
I love the feel of this home and the breakfast was so good. It was perfect for me to just get away and think. The area is awesome too being so close to the beach.
- 5/5
It made me feel like at was at gramas house
- 5/5
It was great. The only issue was that the wifi was weak and I needed it to do online classes
- 4/5
Nice but no a/c. Pat the lady that runs the place is nice.
- 4/5
Awesome customer service from Pat. Great breakfast every day including daily newspaper. Feel at home vibes. The only thing I do not like is the rooms do not have air conditioner.
- 5/5
A great place to stay in the beach bluffs area of Long Beach. Nice residential area, close to the ocean. Ocean breezes made for open windows and great sleeping. We had a gracious hostess, a beautiful lady and a wonderful conversationist. She also prepared an exceptional breakfast, along with the morning newspaper for us to enjoy. The room was very clean and comfortable with a good bed.
- 5/5
Everything so well-appointed. Fresh breakfast above and beyond expectations. Friendly, courteous, helpful, extra clean. Darling Craftsman restored home. Definitely will go back and definitely will refer this property to family and friends
- 5/5
The old house was clean and unique. Location is very nice...2 miles from everything in Long Beach
- 4/5
Room was a bit small. Downstairs common area carpet needs replaced/cleaned.
- 5/5
Loved convenience to water, pier, dock shopping area, food. Owners aimed to please. And they did.
- 5/5
Pat, the owner was incredibly sweet and hospitable. It was a cute B&B in a great location, walkable to restaurants, cafe's and pubs. Very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was not your cheap hotel continental breakfast. There was hot food such as eggs and sausage, quiche, and more depending on the day. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Staying at the Beachrunners Inn was a wonderful experience. Lovely house, excellent hospitality, great location and yummy breakfast 😃. I would absolutely recommend this place
- 4/5
lovely and quiet place with very friendly and courteous proprieters. The room was a little small but furnished nicely. This was a very pleasant diversion from the corporate hustle and bustle of my time at the Convention Center which is just a mile away.
- 5/5
Gracious and warm greeting, cozy and comfortable. An easy walk to the beach.
- 5/5
Was amazing. Great location. Clean. Friendly staff. And good breakfast.
- 4/5
I do agree with what other people wrote that staying here is like staying at grandmas house. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, nice things in the area, I’d go back again.
- 5/5
Very cute place. Good food. Good location although the beach down the way is much better. Rooms are small, but the place is great.
- 5/5
The Inn is charming. Patricia and Barbara are excellent hosts.
- 4/5
The building is old and the room feels quite old, with parts of it clean (e.g. bed) but other parts not clean (e.g. I don't think the blinds have been cleaned in a long time, they had a thick layer on dirt/dust on them, etc). The room is tiny, essentially the bed plus a meter around it for the most part. The area is sometimes quiet, other times can be loud (in my case due to neighbors). I think the inn would be reasonable at a lower price, but at the given price it seemed a bit overpriced for the quality. At a lower price, I'd say it's a comfortable enough stay.
- 4/5
I love the 'at home' feel. Always the best ending to a 14-17 hr day. Close to a park, juice bar, coffee shop, and of course near the beach.
- 4/5
Charming craftsman house in a good location. Pleasant common rooms, outdoor patio, easy walk to sights and eateries. Snacks available all day, but we missed breakfast because of an early departure. Comfortable room but windows need shades.
- 5/5
Nice two night stay in Long Beach. Cozy craftsman home, very clean, friendly and helpful hosts. 4 stars for comfort related to bed comfort and pillows. All else exceptional.
- 3/5
It was fine. We got in late and there was someone to open the door for us when we arrived. The breakfast was average. The room was average. It was loud at night, but they provided ear plugs. The host was not particularly friendly. It was not bad, but I would not return.
- 5/5
Had a fabulous time, Pat was an awesome host, very comfortable, breakfast fantastic, very accessible to public transport, awesome stay
- 5/5
Very beautiful home and Pat is a great hostess. The bed and breakfast is located within walking distance from the beach and nice restaurants. I would definitely recommend staying there and I hope to return there the next time I need a vacation.
- 3/5
Cute bed and breakfast. I was disappointed that there was no hot tub. The online photos show a hot tub this needs to be updated as it was one of the reasons we picked it. Loved the smoothie place next door.
- 5/5
Very friendly proprietors. Lovely room. Nice shampoo/conditioners to use. Convenient to attractions in the area.
- 4/5
Nice host and comfy clean home. The only feedback is on Sat morning there was only 2 slices of bacon, very little egg, and one piece of toast left when we my husband and I came down for breakfast. I am guessing the guest before us has a BIG breakfast. Maybe find a way to monitor to make sure all guest have enough breakfast.
- 4/5
A darling and cozy lodging choice. Two sofa lounging areas, dining table and kitchen access, and a lovely patio. Like home, original 1920's craftsman style, quaint tile in the kitchen, curtains and Tiffany-style lighting fixtures. Very relaxing property. Needs a bit of external paint.
- 4/5
My room was on the street . So quite noisy
- 5/5
A sweet lil gem of a craftsman with much charm and gracious hosts. In a wonderful area.
- 4/5
This is really a great find in Long Beach. Quiet, well located with clean rooms and a nice breakfast. Our only concern was the bed; it was not very comfortable and is probably ready for a replacement.
- 5/5
Beautiful place, lovely location, everything about my stay was great
- 1/5
this hotel is close to the beach and has a nice friendly stuff. Overall the facility does not make a good impression, there is no jacuzzi in the yard, there is some smell in the entire place, the room was tiny, sink was in the room, not in a tiny bathroom, the bed was really challenging. We parked our car on the street, as the parking space of the hotel was in some rundown yard. we were the only guests and we ran away, did not stay there. When we came to pick up the rest of our stuff 2 days later, the place was empty again.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast food was very good.
