I like that it was central to some of the attractions we visited. The staff who checked us in was friendly, but hard to understand and a bit extra. d toiletries, we did not have a microwave. The ac did not work very well with no clear difference between high/low fan. The air just felt heavy and not moving. The room also felt musty and had an obvious mold smell from poor ventilation. The water in the shower did not drain very well, and parts of the room did not feel clean (unknown stains around the frame of the bed). The location is not great if you are looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing. The walls are thin and you can hear other doors slamming or people showering. The hotel is around the corner from a fire department, so all night you are constantly hearing sirens or other vehicle traffic outside. For us, I wish I would’ve spent my money elsewhere considering there were much nicer hotels in the area with better reviews for a lower price.
- 4/5
Everything was great. We enjoyed our stay and the staff was wonderful. I didn't like paying $49 a night for parking and I think its time for a little refresh on the rooms. They were fine and clean but they have had a lot of use and maybe a little sprucing up. But I was happy with our stay and its not a complaint just a suggestion.
- 3.5/5
Location, location. The lobby and restaurant were very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Good parking garage. Easy in and out. The room was somewhat dated. Tub shower with shower curtain. Poor shower heads with little pressure.

Booking.com and the Westim ruined our vacation The incorrect room description. The service. The stagg was rude.

We have previously stayed at this location about a year ago and the stay was great. Very clean and very nice. Because of the great stay we had about a year ago, we went to stay this weekend and then rooms smelt musty. There was a large stain in front of the tv on the carpet. The shower head dripped water had to use the handheld to even wash. The ice machine on our floor was also out of service. The other room that I booked also had the same complaints about the cleanliness.
- 2.5/5
The bed was comfortable My room was changed when I checked in.

My room was changed when I checked in.
- 3/5
The room was outdated and needed some TLC as well as some of the furniture. Definitely needs updating in lobby and room. The pictures didn’t match when u got there. Last but not least the charge you a travelers Fee that they didn’t tell me upon check in and tell me that at checkout. It’s for being a traveler business destination hotel fee.. some nonsense. Very disappointing

I like the location. I didn’t like that I was not informed about valet parking more in detail and when I asked they just said it was on the website.

Staff was great. The towels smelled so weird and I thought it was just my set but I got a new set and it had the same smell. AC took a while to cool the room but it’s an old building. Parking was also 45 for all guest which kinda sucked.

Great location. Great services... rooms could use some upgrades
- 5/5
Really quiet place I spent a good and comfortable time
- 2/5
Room keeping must have been in a rush because room was turned over with body wash and conditioner and shampoo at below usage levels... Damaged mirror was hanging in the wall by a screw(literally) Toilet seat needed replacing And had issues with trying to operate the shower...after bringing the details to front desk my replacement room in a hotel at under 70% occupancy was the room next door to another room being serviced with obnoxious noise levels. Also the replacement room had 3 other eye sores that would almost make the room unavailable at most comparable properties. For a hotel that charges 160 minimum (can go up to 500 when busy) plus a mandatory destination fee of 60 dollars. I never thought I would have to need a law degree to explain what my food and beverage credit worked for. The attendant at the cafe didn't want to offer me room charge after letting the guest right in front of me use room charge! (which is the only way to get the Credit?!) To say I was disappointed is being nice...

Really nice location los
- 5/5
Nice property, very typical of a large hotel. The lobby bar served food, friendly staff and good food. Decent pool and gym. The property is close to small shops and places to get a haircut. The hotel was having trouble with checking people in but the staff was so friendly managing through the situation.
- 3/5
I wasn’t a fan of the beds I was drunk and didn’t sleep good and the shower took forever to get hot and power
- 5/5
Wonderful check in.
- 5/5
Everything was great. 10/10 recommend
- 3/5
I have mix feelings about it. Aside I already paid for my stay, the hotel charged $250 when you check in - it’s not to hold your card in the system but to in case of there’s damage during your stay. And it depends on your back how many days you’ll get your money back, which by the way, not complete bc the hotel also charge extras such as Destination Fee, overnight parking, and more with the total of $88. Most staff were nice. I asked if we could check out late like 1pm or so bc we planned to ride the boat tour (start at 11:30am) and then may be grab lunch; the receptionist said they can’t.. so yeah, that’s pretty much it. Beautiful lobby though, but that’s not something new to us.

Beware of hidden fees the parking is 45 don’t understand why if your staying there for the night where do they expect you to park and the parking area smells like pee and there was a bloody shirt on the ground. They want to give you a 30 spending at there bar or breakfast but it is just so you could spend more
- 5/5
Room was clean next time would like to book a bigger room. Just wish the AC in my room worked a little better
- 5/5
Great room, great bar, great place to stay.
- 5/5
Clean, modern, reasonably priced hotel
- 2/5
The room was very humid, had a mildew feel and ac didn’t work properly. I could hear the guy next door snoring through the wall. Shower wand was set to spray directly into vent in shower when turned on which was likely cause of humid/mildew issue. Door lock was hard to twist. I will not be staying here for future trips and will inform my business colleagues.

- 2/5
Well, first off of staff is super friendly and did everything they could to accommodate us. However, the first room that we checked into the shower was not working, and the towels were still wet for some reason. Then they switched us to another room and it reeked of cigarette smoke. Finally, they upgraded us to a suite on the third room and it was OK but the water in the shower was backing up. Really expected more from this hotel unfortunately I can’t say that I’ll be back.
- 5/5
Room was very clean and all the front desk were very welcoming I would be back for sure this is my #1 hotel in Long Beach
- 1/5
A bunch of hidden fees, no harbor view even though requested and booked, our floor smells like mildew and the shift manager was visibly sick while handling our check-in and keys.
- 4/5
The room and facility were OK, but not worth the price of the room.

We stayed here for 2 nights during the Formula Drift Finals. The hotel was very nice, well maintained, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The location was also very convenient, just a short walk to the entrance of the FD event. Parking was a little pricey, but to be expected in the Downtown Long Beach area. The room was clean, comfortable, and had nice views. We traveled with our two girls (1.5 years old and 4 months old) and there was plenty of space in our King Bed Room to have a playpen set up for the little one to sleep in. Our older daughter shared the bed with us. There was also room for our toddler to play while we were in the room. All of the floors that had guest rooms required you to use your room key to access those floors in the elevator, which gave an added sense of security that strangers couldn’t just be wandering the halls that didn’t belong there. It was overall a very nice, comfortable experience and we would definitely stay here again for future FD events. There are of course cheaper options in the area, but you get what you pay for, and this definitely felt like it was worth every dollar.

We had a great time. The staff was excellent, and the facility was clean. Our room was very comfortable. We had excellent food and drink during our stay. It was walking distance from a lot of great restaurants, etc.

Nice meal at the bar. Upgraded room was very nice as well. Wifi was not the bratty and i needed to hot spot

- 5/5
Hotel and room was clean. Staff courteous and professional. Being a single female, underground parking was a little scary as there is no human host around and anyone can walk from the street so I felt security for the garage area may need some attention. Restaurant offered goof menu and tasted good.
- 5/5
Hotel was amazing the only thing that was weird was the parking.
- 3/5
I should’ve taken the other negative reviews about this hotel more seriously. This room was not cheap and definitely was not up to Westin standards. The bath tub had black mold, and rust on the fixtures and they were loose, the carpet was filthy with stains all over it. Black hair on the floor, the parking was a complete rip off, $44.00 a night! Did I mention the popcorn ceiling? This is more like a Best Western charged at Westin prices. We also noticed that the hotel was only charging 30.00 dollars a day for an event but when we pointed out we were guests and should not be paying $44.00 they told us at the front desk that they have no control over that because the parking isn’t owned by them! $30.00 additional cost per day for resort fee was a joke, especially when the rooms were so filthy. Do not recommend this hotel.
- 4/5
The room was pretty clean, some ants in the bathroom though. The lady that checked us in was nice but all the other staff members we spoke to around the hotel/front desk/pool area were not in the best mood. The pool/hot tun area was empty after sunset but the hot tub was not hot enough so that’s probably why we had it to ourselves. I would go back but hope the hot tub is warmer next time.

Wonderful staff. Clean hotel. 10/10.
- 5/5
Clean, great access to the convention center, large parking lot free for guests
- 5/5
Great location, nice room, very comfortable. The only downside to this hotel is the "restaurant", which as far as I can tell is a vague arrangement of tables in the bar area. No name, no evident hostess stand, no mention anywhere else in the hotel, like the elevators or the rooms.
- 5/5
Great stay.
- 5/5
The air conditioning in my room was barely working. They had to bring a fan in so it can cool down. Very noisy after that with the fan
- 3/5
The wifi is TERRIBLE!!! If you’re planning on working from your room forget it - I was unable to do a video call and it continually dropped out. I had to relocate to the lobby and it was still very slow. Room was clean and comfortable but just looking a little dated.
- 3/5
Not enough staff needed for check ins and general front desk service
- 5/5
Loved staying here at the Westin… beautiful hotel. Very comfortable rooms and was very convenient to visit the convention center and nearby restaurants. Staff were friendly & very helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

The room was missing hand soap in the bathroom, stains all over the floor, blood stain on my bed sheet. I expected better quality for higher end prices. The front desk was very pleasant and the shower had good pressure but the room was the disappointment.
- 5/5
We arrived a couple hours early and they already had a room ready for us. It was very nice inside the lobby area and in the room. We had a beautiful view as well. I would highly recommend staying here.

Staff was very good and friendly. Parking was a bit expensive.
- 5/5
Great stay!!! Hospitality is a 10++++. Every single person at this hotel is friendly and welcoming. I travel a lot and this is the best place I’ve stayed in the U.S. It’s a shame I’ve gotten used to subpar hospitality when traveling in the U.S. Great job Westin Long Beach!!
- 2/5
Horrible experience. Sink was clogged, after complaining, it was fixed and the contaminants of the drain were left out. Sink had residue after facilities came. Gnats were all over the lobby and eating areas. Dead plants everywhere. Broken ice machine. NOT friendly staff.
- 5/5
Excellent location and clean rooms
- 5/5
Love that it was directly across from the venue we had planned to go to

Was there on vacation for 3 days, nice hotel over all, a but dated but it was quiet clean and comfortable
- 1/5
At check-in, we were told we had a $29/day dining voucher as Marriott members. The next morning, we used it for breakfast and appreciated the restaurant staff’s hospitality. But there were early red flags—when we misplaced our validated parking ticket, the female manager on duty scolded us like children, saying, “YOU SHOULDN’T forget ticket—leave it in the car.” Her attitude was condescending and made us feel embarrassed like children. At checkout, ARBY at the front desk approached us with pure rudeness: “Checking out? From where? I don’t know you.” He told us we were charged $150 total, including parking and breakfast. When we mentioned the $29/day voucher, he raised his voice and said, “You don’t have a complimentary voucher because you booked through a third party.” We showed him the coupon we were given at check-in, and he snapped, “It doesn’t matter if you’re a member.” (Maybe we look too young to be respected?) We weren’t upset over the $29 we could’ve used it elsewhere if we had known. But this stay was meant to be special. The lack of professionalism and courtesy completely changed our impression. Hospitality matters especially when you’re considering hosting a wedding.
- 3/5
Hotel was great, but the bedsheets were deplorable. The bottom sheet was crinkly and rough. It was like sleeping on sandpaper that had been bunched up. Absolutely unacceptable. I have never seen sheets like that in my entire life of traveling. Additionally, they had this mattress pad on there that was spiky and rough and you could fill it through the sheets. Saving grace for me is that I brought my own sheet to use. I will never stay there again.

My stay with my family was excellent!!! Check-in was quick and easy. The room was nice and clean. Great view from the window. Will definitely go back!
- 5/5
The pillows made me get a neck ache.
- 3/5
The Westin hotel didn't put me in the system with the hotel app I got charged twice on hotels .com and at the hotel they hotel did apologize for the inconvenience but wasn't given anything in return I still have the charge in my account and will have to wait till it clears besides that mess up it was good.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay. The staff were super friendly and attentive. It’s a great location with everything within walking distance. The hotel was very clean. We had a problem with the shower hose and the maintenance replaced the hose in the shower within in a hour. I highly recommend staying here. We definitely will be returning to stay here next time we are in Long Beach.
- 5/5
The valet was super polite as were all staff from bartender to front desk. They gave us a drink voucher on check in. Super comfortable beds. Would stay here again for sure
- 5/5
Great stay at this perfectly located hotel along Ocean Blvd. with views of the harbor, and the Breakers Hotel down the street. Clean, friendly and accommodating staff. Check in was easy and we were graciously upgraded and got a room on the 11th floor. Spacious, great lighting and big sink in the bathroom. Walking distance easy and close to everything. Felt safe and secure. Definitely staying there again when in town. Plus, I noticed three airlines and performers from theater across the street utilizing the hotel hospitality.
- 3/5
Despite booking a room for 3 people, we had to ask multiple times for housekeeping to bring the bedding for the sofa bed...then she asked me to help her. I got a random text at 1130PM saying my room was ready, and when I flagged with reception to make sure they didn't allocate a second room, they told me their texts don't come from Marriott. Just felt chaotic, like they were understaffed, but surely they should have rostered more on with a full hotel!
- 5/5
Great hotel! The best one I've stayed!
- 5/5
The Westin was perfect, unlike the Pacific inn in San Pedro where they were 100% blatant liars. Oh and hotels.com has zero provisions to protect customers from lying hotels.
- 4/5
I liked that this hotel gave us a credit for food even though lady at the desk said we get those perks because of an extra charge held to my account. Nonetheless there was a bunch of miscellaneous charges
- 5/5
Luxury, comfort, and location. Perfect stay for downtown Long Beach
- 2/5
The staff at the westin long beach are incredible and I in no way wish this review to reflect them at all. They were helpful and even put me in a very fancy suite when I was having a hard time a month ago travelling home around the time of the first fires. My concern is that upon arriving home, I immediately went to the hospital were I was told I contracted scabbies. I had to throw out my belongings and buy meds. There is no possible way I would have contracted the infestation from anywhere else --- I was in one location for 6 weeks and I am immunocompromised thus extremely careful with my surroundings. I believe that the very large two level suite hotel room sat for some time without changed sheets or being serviced which is a secret breeding ground for dust mites. I have called the hotel over 25 times this month, to be transfered to over 15 different people, relaying the story over and over again. I've called expedia who said they could refund me if they are able to get in touch with the manager but they too haven't been able to. The manager has left me two voice mails but every time I call back they are not available. I've emailed asking for a set callback time to no response, and I've emailed customer service and have received no response in 10 days. My case number is 653749755 and I'd very much like a refund as soon as possible. The time I have spent just trying to communicate to a person and to inform the hotel for other peoples safety is quite a lot this past month.
- 5/5
I liked the proximity to dining options. My dislike was that the pool and jacuzzi was down for renovations.

People should be notified if pool is closed
