Property could use a facelift
- 5/5
Great location, clean room, friendly staff, secure parking garage. Everything I needed in the Long Beach area.
- 3/5
Was not informed of the parking fee.
- 3/5
When I checked in for 3 nights the rate was fair until they check you in and you also pay 100 dollars a day for "incidental hold" which is also ok figuring you dont damage anything ect. What they dont tell you is you pay 30 dollars a day for a resort fee. That comes direct out of that incidental charge plus taxes. Instead of charging the "resort" fee as a nightly fee included in the cost of the room. Charged 2 sodas too the room and bag of chips. Returned 90 dollars of the 300. "Incidental hold" absolutely misrepresented at check in. Marriott has always been great to me but man this was shady in my opinion

Great hotel stay experience and easy accommodation for cruise port parking !!

Everything ok, just the matress on our king size bed in our room. We stayed in a handicap room with a king bed. Not confortable at all, not firm at all.

Location, comfort, style. No housekeeping. No call back or answer to housekeeping for towels. Around 12am maintenance was carpet cleaning in room next door. and a liquid from the machine leaked under the door into our room. Wet and sticky. $50 parking.

the staff is always helpful and friendly. very welcoming. the property is conveniently located downtown with access to many local restaurants and retail. they have a guest only parking garage which is convenient and ideal.
- 5/5
The restaurant was understaffed and the food tasted as if it was straight out of a box. The sauce on the lasagna tasted like chef boyardee sauce. Very disappointing.

Staff were absolutely amazing, super friendly and very helpful. Top notch would stay in the future without hesitation !

Breakfast for convenience only.
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean and the bed was super comfy! That was a big plus! Only about a 10-15 Uber to hotel and about 10 min Uber ride to cruise terminal. Very convenient!
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable room, super friendly and helpful staff, great location, perfect parking garage, great breakfast!
- 4/5
Facilities much nicer than we were anticipating The dinner menu was very limited but was told only because the Grand Prix race was in town. Made sense. Everything was great. Only minor issue was the noise from speeding cars and motorcycles was pretty loud in the room. Settled down after 10 Pm though. Staff goes out of their way to make sure you are happy.
- 4/5
The young woman at check-in was very condescending and not pleasant. I hope it was just a bad day for her. Another staff member was cussing at another and threw glass and paperwork on the floor. It was not a pleasant check in experience. I’ve been a member of Marriott for several years and have NEVER had an experience like this and it make me re-think continuing my membership!
- 5/5
Very clean and well maintained. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again.
- 4/5
Welcoming to pets. Clean, safe, 10 minute walk to the shore.
- 5/5
Friendly staff! The room was clean.
- 5/5
Clean room and excellent staff allowed us to check in early
- 5/5
Fresh food, great selection, coffee was great!! We loved the room.
- 5/5
Good location for attending a show at the Convention centre. Had issues on arrival as the staff refused to let my wife check in when arriving in LA on an earlier flight than me by a few hours - seemed a bit odd as she was going to pay for the room and we have the same last name, but the room was reserved only in my name as every booking I make! When I landed hours after her, I spoke to the front desk and they reluctantly allowed her to pay and check in after she had been forced to camp out in the lobby and restaurant for a few hours! Odd, because all the interactions with front desk team after this were pleasant and they were all very lovely throughout our stay! Tito in the restaurant was a stand out friendly efficient chap who could not do enough for everyone - kudos to him for making all diners feel welcome. The Hummous was the most garlic I have ever experienced but other food we had was perfectly nice. We had a less able bodied room which meant an uber big bathroom and very spacious bedroom. Overall a great choice for Long Beach. We splashed out on a steak night at the walkable 555 restaurant next door to the property and it was stunning - best steak in a long time and very attentive in service. Would stay again, older but well cared for property.

- 3/5
Hotel was clean and quiet, however I was charged
- 3/5
Clean room condition, staff seemed disinterested not very communicative. I booked a King room but was given a double queen without mention, I had to return to the front desk and inquire/request the room I requested.
- 1/5
Nothing to do with the actual hotel, just ended up with the upstairs guest awake all night long with the T.V. as loud as it goes. Just disappointed, for a $300 a night hotel I would've like not to be placed near the elevator to hear everyone come and go.

- 5/5
Clean room and accommodating staff.
- 3/5
Service was poor. We were told different things from our friends who were also staying there
- 3/5
My third time staying at this property and maybe my last. The room overall was just okay. The front desk staff acted put out anytime we asked questions and were quite frankly just rude. However, the housekeepers were excellent and so friendly. The bell staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful with area recommendations. Overall safety was five stars. Only complaint about the stay was the front desk staff.

This was our first time visit LBC. As we were unknown to the area, we relied on the staff and valet for assistance. They recommended so very incredible places and very helpful. We will be traveling and staying there again.

Rooms were very clean but they put me in a corner room that had no view. Staff was very nice.

Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was very good. I was not aware of any free breakfast. The room was quiet and the bed quite comfortable. Pillows were great. However, the TV remote never worked. They tried to service it and replace it twice and it would work when they were there and then not work. I think it must have been the TV itself. Also, the room smelled musty when I first went in but cleared when the AC was on for a little while. If a room is not used for a while, the AC should be turned on by the hotel before it is used.
- 5/5
Hotel staff was helpful and restaurant food was very good and our room was clean and comfortable. Were it not for the overnight sirens from emergency vehicles, we would have rated the area 5 stars as well. All considered, we would chose to stay here again.
- 5/5
Beautiful clean property
- 5/5
For breakfast at the cafe/restaurant. Prices were good staff was nice and friendly and efficient
- 4/5
Very clean & comfortable environment! Check-in was quick & easy & parking was a breeze! The restaurant downstairs has many great options; I went there for dinner and breakfast. I didn't like that housekeeping never came to clean our room. I had to keep calling for towels & trash to be replaced. The bathtub sits higher than the bathroom floor, so it's a deep drop when stepping out of the shower. When stepping out of the shower, my 68 year old mom fell out & hit her head on the sink. She's got a big knot above her eyebrow
- 5/5

I liked how there were restaurants nearby. I did not like how much they charged for parking my vehicle. I also did not like the added Destination Fee. Parking and the fee added an extra $65 to my bill.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Courtyard Marriott. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would go there again if I am in the area.
- 3/5
Room was clean, breakfast was great. Our issue was the man with a shaved head/bald who checked us in. He was condescending and unhelpful. We forgot our physical cc but had apple pay, and upon requesting for solutions he just started at us, smirking, with no answer. He only said “yes/no” but didn’t show kindness or compassion or patience. He acted annoyed that we were talking to him at all. Maybe he was having a bad day and that sucks, but it’s not my problem as the guest. He made us feel embarrassed to check in , as if we were an inconvenience more than guests paying for a stay. If I knew he wouldn’t check us in next time, I might go back. Otherwise no thanks.
- 4/5
Clean, quiet, comfortable property. It served our purposes. Somehow, we got a room meant for a person with a wheelchair, which was odd. But it didn't interfere with our comfort.
- 5/5
Alot of homeless people walking around the entrance
- 3/5
We paid for extended parking, but because our cruise didn't start until the next day, we had to pay the full 40 dollars to park there for the first day. Absolutely ridiculous.
- 5/5
Nice receptionist
- 5/5
Added destination fee from Marriott which was not disclosed which defeated savings
- 5/5
What I did not like is that the charge for parking lot and destiantion fee. They also don't clean your room the following day.
- 5/5
Nice hotel in a great location. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
Very clean and quiet and staff were so helpful.
- 3/5
I really do think that this Marriott needs to reconsider having weight dumbbells in the fitness room. We were in room 221 right above the weight room. It seems that many guests using these see fit to drop these at then end of a set and let them bounce. I can't tell you how annoying it is to have this booming bouncing vibration traveling up through the floor. If the Hotel can't properly manage this then they need to stop using these rooms for guests.
- 5/5
Great location and clean.
- 5/5
STAFF WAS FIRENDLY AND VERY RESPONSIVE
- 5/5
Location, cleanliness, and friendly staff
- 5/5
Comfort .. bay partial view.. easy walking around
- 4/5
Was a nice and convenient place for the event my family had. It was clean but housekeeping did forget to check the drawers and previous guest left underwear and socks in a drawer (yuck). Other than that I liked the stay manager gave us points due to the oversight of the undies in the drawer. It’s was only half the points he said though. No big deal. I’d stay again if we come back again for the same event at the arena.
- 5/5
Loved this place. Wasn’t a fan of the fixed shower head, and stepping out of the walk in shower, the floor was extremely slippery. Parking is separate from the hotel, nothing extreme, but you do need to leave the hotel for parking AND parking is an added cost per day. But you’ll have safe parking in DTLB. Restaurant on ground floor is lovely, small selection but perfect for a relaxing breakfast.
- 4/5
We didn't get maid service after our first night, the hotel restaurant had info on the web that was 5 years out of date and the wifi was as fickle - all issues that don't seem appropriate for a hotel in this price category.
- 3/5
Housekeeping every other day only. Front desk never informed me when I check in.
- 5/5
Great stay in LBC
- 3/5
Leaking water from the unit above us. The breakfast was great!
- 2/5
Unfortunately the AC in the room was soooo loud it kept me awake all night. There was also a huge water stain on the ceiling that also kept me awake. For the price there are better options in LB.
- 4/5
Convenient location. Parking was difficult coming in late
- 5/5
I loved it
- 5/5
Clean and convenient
- 5/5
Clean and beautiful room
- 5/5
Very pleasant and efficient staff. I enjoyed the bistro bar being right off the lobby. The laundry service was a huge boon to 3 people who had traveled for many days.

Location was close to covention centre. Room was clean, shower was hot and good pressure. Concierge was friendly. Door lever was a bit sticky and hard to turn, and sink had a sewage-like smell.

The property from the outside it looks old….and unsafe area but when you come in….the property has been remodeled.

Bad place to stay
- 5/5
Very friendly front desk. Very clean. The golf room was amazing. Loved it.
- 3/5
The bar door bathroom doors are a crime- this was a little better than some but just a terrible idea. Motion sensor light by the door- great idea in theory - if you are alone. Each time one of us got up to go to the bathroom it blasted the room with light waking everyone.
- 4/5
The front desk staff were all great! The restaurant in the hotel was also good. The parking deck that they charge for you to park in isn’t the best. It is nice to be right by your car but it isn’t secured. We made it to the hotel and parked at about 4am and woke to leave about 10am and someone had tried to break the glass on my rental and I also saw where they busted the window from another car. Not sure if that car was stolen because all I saw was the glass where there was a car when we pulled up. While the staff was helpful, the police were not. Thankfully I had the vehicle covered all around so all I had to do was drop it back off. There is a lot that is in walking distance of this hotel and I would opt for that route versus renting and parking here. Or worse, parking your pov here. Sadly, I didn’t get pics of the hotel because of time of arrival and we were on go til we left. But the hotel was beautiful! Well maintained. Just the parking!
- 5/5
Very walkable area. I ran to Hi-Lo for a bottle of tequila for my cruise, grabbed breakfast at The Breakfast Bar, took out some cash at Chase Bank, and picked up a pack of Soda Water El Super Markets.
- 5/5
Really great service and easy check in with Sage. Sage was very professional and knowledgeable.
- 5/5
Customer service was absolutely great
- 4/5
The room was clean and quiet. Seemed odd that there was a balcony but no door to access it.
- 3/5
Our bed squeaks every time we move which is very annoying specially when you're trying get some sleep.
- 4/5
It was pretty good all things considered. Only thing I’d check with this hotel is their deposit fee and parking fee. They do not add or let you know about that up front. Other than that, pretty good stay.
- 3/5
They do not make the designated smoking sections clear upon check in. They charged me a $250 fee for smoking on the patio before I even checked out.
- 5/5
The hotel is nice. Further from the water than the pictures appeared
- 5/5
This was an excellent experience for my wife and I. We stayed on the Queen Mary the night before our Carnival cruise due to the proximity to the cruise terminal. The ship is full of history and it was so interesting to stay there! The staff were also knowledgeable and friendly, adding to our excellent experience. We will stay again!
- 5/5
Lobby coffee needs monitoring and updating.
- 5/5
Love it and the breakfast
- 5/5

- 5/5

- 5/5
We had a rowdy group in the room above us past 10pm, but the staff was very helpful in helping to remedy the situation.
- 4/5
Room was clean and staff were efficient and polite. Facility was aware of noise problem and provided earplugs. Noise was only an issue while sleeping. Earplugs addressed the problem. Noises are typical downtown issues.
- 5/5
Hotel is well located, near de queen Mary and many restaurants. The lobby and parking entrance are not well designed, a little messy. It was a cold day a little rainy and its not possible to go from the parking to the rooms, you need to walk outside and grab an elevator in the main building. Its just at the side but i think is something i didnt like. The building is being renovated.

- 2/5
The room was nice. The property is under construction and it’s loud and dusty.
- 4/5
Nice staff! I wish the balconys were big enough to allow a chair to be used
- 4/5
i like the renovations you can see that they’re doing to the rooms, the only thing i noticed that was dates was the ceilings pretty much but other then that everything was clean and rooms were very spacious ! hallway doors were a little loud though.
- 5/5
I really like the location that it was close to some decent restaurants, and it was very close to the shuttle for the music festival.
- 1/5
We have to go in from the side door, not very glamorous. We could not see the Lobby like the picture shown. Room maids never came to fresh up sheets, towel & coffee for second day. Did not received room cleaning. There were music festival going on. It was so loud from the street & people talking on the patio, cold not sleep. Exercise Room was great. Pool is too small.
- 3/5
Part of the property is under construction and was probably dirty from this. Constant construction noise. They oversold the parking garage and we had no where to park after paying the daily rental fee. The security officer was rude. Won’t stay here again, there are many other options in the area.
- 3/5
Very nice property and I loved the various shops all around the hotel.
