Overall, the location is great (right next to the Expo Line, near to Culver City, and near to the beaches on the West Side). However, we were put in a room that was clearly smoked in previously. At first, I didn't think it was going to be a problem, but after spending a few days in the room all of our things smelled like terrible stale cigarette smoke. In hindsight we should have asked for another room. Breakfast was okay, although there were practically no non-dairy options (except sad dry toast or dry cereal). If you have any dietary restrictions, be advised.
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was small but clean. Definitely an older building and no elevator available.
- 5/5
Friendly Staff I left my medicine in the fridge they advised they could not locate it
- 4.5/5
I like that all my family was able to sleep in a comfortable place and bed.
- 3.5/5
Location is good, convenient parking, staff is nice Air conditioning is in the window, noisy and blows on you, so you can’t sleep.
- 3/5
The location was convenient to many places we went in the area. The staff was great! Parking was tight with a mini van; bathroom was small, cigarette burn mark on blanket
- 4/5
When we entered the hotel the first day, the front desk staff was not friendly. In the following days, the front desk staff was very polite and professional, he helped us to change to a suitable room for us. Thank you!
- 3/5
I liked that there was a separate living room area with the coffee maker, fridge, and tv. The bathroom was cramped. There was a lot of noise from the top floor (sounded like a party). Parking was awful and dangerous to get in and out of. Breakfast was lacking flavor and variety.
- 4/5
Very good
- 3.5/5
Great deal for the room, the extra T.V. room and balcony. Our room was next to the elevator, literally our room's door was inches from the elevator so, it was a bit noisy during use. Some breakfast items like the juices were not tasty.
- 3.5/5
The beds were very comfortable and I was glad to have a microwave and a fridge. The bathroom and the shower head were tiny. I couldn't figure out how to boil water for tea so I used the microwave. Also the hot and cold controls in the shower were difficult to use. Breakfast was mediocre and I was there for 4 nights so it became very predictable. The computer did not load up to the internet.
- 3/5
The room is awesome. The bathroom was tiny but the balcony was nice to have. Not a big fan of having to pay to park at a hotel im paying already to stay at. The staff were great!
- 5/5
Very friendly staff. Older place but well maintained. Very wide variety of breakfast with some good protein. Good coffee. It suited all our needs very well.
- 3/5
Right off the freeway, short walk to the train station either routes to LA and Santa Monica pier. Room nice and spacious. Comfortable. Charged twice for parking. Overpriced for what it is!
- 5/5
Could use some updates but overall was a fantastic stay
- 4.5/5
Great location and very good breakfast. Parking costs extra and is not included, it really should be.

Older property but rooms well maintained. Nice staff. Poor amenities.
- 5/5
Great location. Great stay. The hotel is small and a bit old, but it is well kept and it is very clean. Perfect for families. I enjoyed my stay.
- 5/5
Very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Cleanliness and free breakfast. Rooms also had a small tv room attached.
- 4/5
Clean space, very tight parking, friendly staff.
- 3/5
Parking is absolutely horrible! Extremely compact.
- 3/5
The staff was nice. The rooms were clean. The shower water temperature was terrible, very temperamental. The breakfast was only ok. No elevator. The location is close to the train station BUT there were a few homeless people around the area. All in all it was ok for a 2 night stay.
- 3/5
Free breakfast was awful, I went with toast as that felt safe. All processed foods that were something you’d see at 7-11. In summary okay if you just need to lay your head for the night but nothing spectacular.
- 3/5
Difficult parking.
- 5/5
Unit/room was very spacious, clean and comfortable, within walking distance to a variety of restaurants.
- 3/5
Not much, it was OK.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the bed comfortable, and checking in and out was smooth. If you're a light sleeper, be aware that you can hear noises from both the other rooms/hallway and from the street outside. The hotel is not in the nicest area, but it's very convenient for getting to LAX.
- 5/5
Nice place with standard breakfast. Very close to the metro E line station to get to most places in LA if you don’t have a car. It’s in a safe neighborhood even at night.
- 3/5
Room was large and good but on the second floor in the next buidling and no elevator. Parking was confusing and very, very tight. Staff was helpful.
- 4/5
Clean room, staff was very nice and friendly!
- 3/5
Room was small. Bathroom was tiny. I booked the premium suite. Good thing the break fast good.
- 3/5
Yes staff very cordial The breakfast disappointing omelets were cold. Not much of a selection omelet and sausage cold cereals among some other things. But surprised it wasn’t good as we have stayed at Best Western before at other locations. Also appeared that homeless individuals were let in to eat amongst other quests. The odor was not appetizing we were there at 7 am and left by 715 For the price of the room and had to pay supplement for parking was also surprised.
- 5/5
Very helpful and friendly staff, parking felt safe, great breakfast
- 5/5
Clean and large room. Staff was very friendly.

- 5/5
Staff was awesome
- 5/5
The location was convenient for my needs to get to places I needed to go to. The staffs are very friendly and accommodating to my needs. The room was clean and spacious.
- 5/5
Yes very clean and the staff were super nice.
- 4/5
The facility was very clean and updated but it is laid out in three buildings so a bit confusing to find things. People great but parking is difficult
- 4/5
The area was ok, there were some neighbors who were noisy up to 1am, outside doors slam a lot, parking for SUVs is pretty tight, air conditioning in room wasn’t felt
- 5/5
Staff was excellent, especially Mauro the parking attendant
- 5/5
Clean room, great toiletries, secure parking and courteous staff

Yes, wonderful stay and staff. Very clean and the housekeepers were super friendly and even shared some good laughs and jokes with us. Housekeeping and office staff even wished us well and hopefully to see us again.
- 5/5
The location was perfect for our family plans. The staff is very friendly and the rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Definitely will consider staying here again.
- 3/5

- 2/5
dirty room, old furniture and mattress, and Homeless everywhere out front! ps this was a suite. never again!
- 4/5
Clean and spacious room with good amenities. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
- 2/5
Actually not located in Culver City as listed. Also not a good value for wehat it cost. Would not recommend
- 4/5
This our second time staying at this hotel and it was very good. Lose to UCLA medical center and in a safe location. The employees were all very courteous and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. My only issue is that the walls are VERY THIN. So thin I could hear my Nextdoor neighbor moving around their room and snoring. And the pillows are rock hard. They also do not make up/refresh rooms daily. Nice place for the price, but has some flaws.
- 4/5
Breakfast good

The room was spacious and comfortable but not spotless. However, we enjoyed our stay and would book again with them.

Parking is a bit of a nightmare if you have a small vehicle. They have a separate lot for larger vehicles like trucks, but the underground parking is a bit hard to park in and get out of when they’re busy. Overall the room was clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
The parking garage had an entry/exit ramp that was tricky for big vehicles to go through. They offered to park my van and bring it back. When I decided to do it myself because I had to get my luggage, they (Fred from the front desk) offered to send someone to guide me. I was able to manage parking and taking out my Odyssey without any trouble. The stay was for Halloween night. The suite had a bathroom which seemed sort of old fashioned, but was pretty functional. When I went to the bathroom there was a tissue napkin cleverly folded in the form of a ghost with eyes and the word “boo” written on it and placed over the tissue holder! Obviously someone had taken the pains to decorate each room with care! Interesting! Overall a very pleasant experience.

Best Western? That name used to be quality. Our experience found like it was a rundown Motel 6 dirty carpet bathroom no bigger than that of a greyhound bus bathroom and looking at the corners of the floor possibly mold pretty gross. charged over $350 for one night
- 2/5
over all this is just an average motel. But I can't recommend it. I was hit with a bunch of additional hidden charges upon arrival. Eighteen dollars per day for parking etc.I do not appreciate hidden charges. Got a room with a jetted tub watch did not work.
- 2/5
Staff was professional, kind and accommodating due to very noisy guests on top floor above our room. We had to change rooms at midnight. Phones were down so could not reach front desk, had to come to lobby in person at midnight. Another hotel guest (a Diamond member I was informed) harassed me and was extremely rude. Hotel manager was very apologetic and reduced our room rate. Hotel is old and needs updates. On busy road so is noisy, nothing they can do but to be aware if you choose to stay. Bathroom is very small and odd, have to dry off after showering in the room. Won't be staying again in the future.
- 5/5
Very clean
- 3/5
Everything was
- 2/5
It’s a run down property. Needs updating. Also the room carpets are badly stained. We got assigned a 1st floor room. It was dark and dingy, nothing like the picture on their website. I would never book, if I saw the real rooms. And for $177 plus $18.25 for parking, it’s a joke.
- 4/5
Some great staff, including the evening porter who helped us park! Room very clean. Pool/hot tub decent enough. This is a convenient area for driving around although probably wouldn't walk alone at night in the the immediate vicinity. Served our needs for short stay.
- 4/5
It is ok.
- 4/5
Stayed here while on a business trip. Room was quite large and the bed was very comfortable. The surrounding area is not safe. Was going to walk about 1/2 mile to go to a restaurant and had to turn around because of the large homeless population. Had to order food through a delivery service.
- 5/5
The rooms were very clean and spacious. The staff is friendly and very eager to help. Complimentary breakfast is robust! However, walls are thin...
- 3/5
Bathroom was too small, room otherwise was nice
- 5/5
Everything good
- 4/5
Quick drive to Westwood. Staffs are very kind. Breakfast is convenient. The room is very roomy, the bathroom is small but everything is functioning.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and nice
- 4/5
Staffs are helpful and good service
- 4/5
Clean and conveniently located next to metro line.
- 4/5
The foot print of the hotel is weird. Separate buildings with very tight main parking lot. On a very busy street. HOWEVER, the room was very roomy, clean, bed comfortable and all necessary items were present: blackout curtains and double pained windows, microwave, refrigerator but no freezer, coffee pot and tv. Free wifi. Only things that bothered me were- no thinner pillows and a/c made some noises and room seemed a bit stuffy or humid.
- 3/5
The biggest issue with this place is the parking. One lot is for trucks and larger SUVs. That lot would be really tight for those vehicles. The choices for smaller vehicles is in front of the main building (weird sloping driveway but at least there is room to maneuver into a spot)or behind the main building where it gets really tight if you have anything larger than a compact car (Honda Civic sized). Getting out of that lot involves navigating a very tight left turn with ramp where there is very little clearance on the right front fender (there is a black pad on that wall where many vehicles have scraped) as well as the overhang of the building is barely above the roofline of the vehicle. It’s one of those things where you have to experience the crappiness of the situation to appreciate how bad it is. I was driving what a rental company would classify as standard/full size (Nissan Altima or equivalent) and there was too little margin for error. Just based on the lousy parking setup I would never stay here again.

To top it off one of the staff was completely unfriendly and Wi-Fi reception is spotty so that just sealed the deal. And lastly I wouldn’t recommend walking the neighborhood when it’s dark out since it’s sketchy enough walking around during daylight hours.
- 5/5
We stayed in a 2-bed suite and had such a great experience! The entire staff was 10/10 — so kind and welcoming. Special shoutout to the cleaning crew, who were especially thoughtful and attentive. Our room was spotless and had all the amenities we needed. The shower was our favorite feature, and both beds were absolutely perfect for a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again!
- 4/5
Business-friendly
- 5/5
Fred is an excellent manager who worked extra to make our stay pleasant. While the street of hotel is not ideal for walking (which is true for much of LA) the location is central to Beaches, Hollywood, Beverly Hills and the airport). If your stay is mostly on Westside this is a good location.
- 4/5
We really like this hotel also we love the breakfast personal super nice and clean
- 3/5
Never to book again and misleading price of parking in the booking page.
- 5/5
Great and friendly service from everyone. Room was clean and spacious. Pillows were rather hard but bed was comfortable otherwise...and the parking lot was a little dicey. Other than that I would stay again.
- 3/5
The staff was very pleasant
- 4/5
The staff is the high point of staying at this hotel. Also comfortable beds and comfortable location.
- 1/5
They are rude the manager don’t help duty they don’t clean the room well
- 5/5
The pictures don’t do it justice . Honestly was a quiet and clean area , front desk were amazing ! Shout to both night and day shift for helping us during our stay.
- 5/5
Improve the breakfast menu. Also the breakfast area is congested.
- 4/5
Cons: Parking is TERRIBLE!! Takes a few tries to park and then to get out. Musty smell in the old elevators.
- 3/5
Close to main places around LA
- 3/5
The location is close to UCLA, which is convenient. There are restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast at hotel is very basic. Parking is a struggle - if you drive a van or full SUV or truck, it will be VERY difficult to park your vehicle since the parking space is very narrow and low. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
The room was good sized and clean. The location was perfect for what I was there for. I really appreciated the hot breakfast daily. I will be back!
- 1/5
The bathroom was very small and the toilet was so low to the ground!
- 5/5
Good place to stay.
- 4/5
The staff were very friendly
- 3/5
Had to wake up the desk person when I arrived at 9:40pm. Parking wasn’t available so he told me to park in between the handicapped spaces (where it’s supposed to be clear for wheelchairs)- charged me for that. Parked in one side of the building but needed to get the elevator (we had heavy bags), and had to go through a maze under the building to enter the elevator (there’s no elevator on the lobby level). The shower did not work- water dribbled out, there is no way I could have washed my hair, but the sink had plenty of water pressure. I tried to put the fan on the AC unit (no AC), but it just turned itself off. Breakfast starts at 7 during the week and 7:30 on weekends- way too late to be useful. I won’t stay there again, even though it was not as expensive as many, it still cost more than it should have for all of these issues.
- 5/5
Everything around it was fantastic
- 3/5
The hotel staff was nice and pleasant. We stayed for 4 days and it was challenging to park late at night even though I paid for parking upfront for 4 days. Hotel was by some food places but would've been easier to walk but not with a family around the homeless encampment.
- 4/5
We’ve stayed at this property before and they have definitely improved. However the parking is a bit messy. Staff did what they could to help.
- 5/5
Was a quick stay but Fred at front desk was super helpful and made the stay excellent. Comfortable and would recommend
- 5/5
Good breakfast, place clean.
- 5/5
Very good place to stay
- 5/5
👍
- 5/5
Clean and staff very friendly
- 5/5
Feel like home. Thank you all the hotel staff.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing! Great check in.
- 3/5
Parking was a rough situation. Odd layout in the room and to access amenities. Coffee tasted like it was 6 days old. Had a good pool/hot tub.
- 4/5
No complaints about the property itself. Great place to stay great staff clean. But the view from my bedroom window looked over an alley where junkies are shooting up their drugs right underneath me. It was like a homeless encampment back there and I’m glad I never had to go on that side of the property.
- 4/5
Great staff at the front desk! Room was efficient, clean, they also had a good pool.
- 3/5
Customer service was great but the room was super small
- 1/5
we stayed at this hotel for three days with no AC working the room that they gave us was not the room that we booked. It was a horrible trip.
- 5/5
Parking was a little tight for my truck but a great place otherwise
- 4/5
Stayed 5 days on a trip with my daughter. Decent place, terrible parking situation. If you don't manage to get one of the 4 spots up front you better have a tiny compact car because getting into the "parking lot" and even worse, getting OUT of it is a nightmare! But the rooms were decent, breakfast was well stocked usually and staff was friendly and helpful. Great location and jumping off point for the beach, Santa Monica, hiking and even downtown LA wasn't a bad drive from here.
- 5/5
Loved the continental breakfast; they had a yogurt machine. Ate yummy parfaits every morning. Room was nice with an attached living room i wasnt expecting. Bathroom was a bit tight but clean and stocked with good products.
- 1/5
Woke up with a bunch of bed bug bites. When I went to the front desk to let them know so they wouldn’t check the room out they told me the manager wasn’t available. The manager eventually called me back and asked me to send him pictures and videos. He advised me to buy neosporin and treat the wounds and said it wasn’t the hotel’s fault, that its the guests fault that bring them in and acted like i was at fault.
- 3/5
Staff is excellent, clean hotel, close to tram station that goes to Santa Monica peer. Parking is horrible. Shower was poor.
- 3/5
Parking is a big problem as they have very cramped spaces for SUVs and vans - especially given that we are mostly going there for our college kids
- 3/5
It’s very old
- 4/5
Easy, good location and clean. Fred was especially helpful and made our stay feel great! He let us keep our bags at reception post check out.
- 5/5
Staff was great! I was only there for 1 night, great area. Property was clean and maintained well.
- 2/5
The bathroom layout was difficult-the space between the toilet and the sink cabinet was around 7 inches so there was quite the physical maneuver just to use the toilet- hot my knees a few times The breakfast was not great. It was instant every thing, including the eggs and sausage, clearly frozen clearly old. Fresh fruits (apples oranges) on the older side except the bananas. Lots of items out of stock each morning- if you don’t get there first thing, I guess you just don’t get to eat it. Parking is challenging, not impossible but very difficult with even a small Rav 4 car. I had to park on the street two of my four nights and walk to the hotel. Bed was decent pillows were decent. I did not have my room serviced. I just went and asked for fresh towels, so I cannot comment about that the morning of day 2 I had to go search out for Kleenex and toilet paper because the room was out wasn’t even there for 12 hours Overall, the staff was very kind, but the room was not ideal and you really do go there for the room
- 5/5
My son lost his wallet and the housekeeper found it. She gave it to Fred at the front desk immediately! I truly appreciated that!
- 4/5
Enjoyed our stay, clean, comfortable, staff was friendly. Breakfast could have been more varied, maybe bacon occasionally?
- 5/5
Didn’t like construction and parking charge
- 5/5
Great staff, aim to please. Proactive.
- 1/5
Terrible
- 5/5
Overall nice clean place. Breakfast was pretty good
- 5/5
We had to wait for awhile to pick up a passport from the Passport Agency, and the front desk staff were just amazing and aided us with late check out.
- 4/5
it was a great affordable stay
- 2/5
My bathtub had a medium amount of sand and dirt in it.
- 1/5
I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and before I was leaving to check out I saw bed bugs crawling around. The hotel was disgusting and had a weird smell. There is mold throughout the hotel. The walls are paper thin. I notified the staff of bed bugs and they offered no compensation. Would never stay here again.
- 5/5
We had an issue with the toilet continuously running in our room and they responded and fixed it within 45 minutes. A great value and recommended.
- 4/5
Staff was super friendly and wanted to do everything they could to make you comfortable during your stay.
- 2/5
I picked the suite with the jet tub. For the sole purpose of using it before bed. It did not work. The front desk said that all they can do is let maintenance know in the morning. That was not helpful especially since we had a long night and planned to sleep in. I paid extra for the jet tub suite when I could’ve paid less. I was robbed.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Excellent Customer Service and Very Clean. This is my 4th stay. I am comfortable and feel very Safe.
- 3/5
Shower pressure is very low. Not experienced anything like that in the past. Very bad breakfast quality and choice.
- 4/5
Good hotel!
- 4/5
Close to trolley
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay clean rooms, friendly staff parking available on site. Any restaurants in the area
- 5/5
My husband and I booked this BW hotel in the vicinity of both UCLA where my son is a student and West LA where my daughter lives and works. We could not have been happier with the level of service we received. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. We had an issue with the shower head in the bathroom and it was fixed immediately. The staff was kind and made us feel comfortably welcome, answering all our questions and asking if there was anything else they could do for us. We aren’t used to this above average level of hospitality and we would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone needing a reasonably priced and homey place to stay while visiting LA. The free breakfast was great, my son was invited to dine with us each morning even though he wasn’t staying with us. The food was plentiful and there was something for everyone. We will absolutely return here on our next California visit.
- 3/5
The lane to the parking was kind of narrow. You could see scratches from several who didn't quite make it. But for downtown LA it was a good rate.
- 2/5
Balcony Microwave Good quality pull out mattress Closet space Easy access from elevator Cons: Paper thin walls TERRIBLE parking lot even with compact car Half size “full” bathrooms No USB plug ins, bring outlet plug ins Shower water labeled incorrectly and temp is not consistent
- 5/5
VERY CLEAN AND HAD A GREAT BREAKFAST
- 4/5
it was small but comfortable. perfect for traveling in a small group you won’t need much more
- 5/5
Staff are extremely helpful and kind. The rooms are nicer than expected, too.
- 4/5
Hotel could be upgraded in some areas. ie: pool area/lobby Rooms are very small, especially the bathroom and we had a suite on purpose to fit our family Had to call the lobby at 2am to have them ask another room of young kids to quiet down, who were slamming doors and yelling down the hallway. She should have heard it herself, but didn't do anything until I called. Appreciated that the person on shift that night went immediately and knocked on their door to ask them to be quiet.
- 5/5
The hotel is good, but the area feels unsafe after 6pm. The staff and facilities are good.
- 1/5
Nothing more to add.
- 3/5
Old
- 5/5
The fan in the bathroom wasn’t functioning, and there was no window to air it out. Not to big a deal, but annoying. Little bit of mold on window in bath probably due to the lack of ventilation.
- 5/5
Stan Kanno
- 5/5
The facility is a bit dated, but very clean, comfortable and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Close to UCLA. Would definitely say there again.
- 5/5
Close to E line which is why I booked- front staff was the best -
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful and friendly.
- 3/5
You have to take a small set of stairs to get to the elevator. Not sure how someone in a wheelchair would get around in this hotel. Enjoyed a hot breakfast in the morning.
- 3/5
The breakfast is so-so.
- 5/5
We stayed 6 nights between Xmas and New Years, as our parents lived nearby, and this location allowed us to go over to our family’s place easily. The staff were always helpful and one night when we got back from a long day out at universal studios, there was no hot water in our room. They immediately offered us another room to shower in. Parking in the underground of the building can be a bit tight for Large SUVs but I think they have parking in the back of their other building if you ask. Parking is not free unfortunately. Overall we enjoyed our stay here for the convenience and helpfulness of the staff.
- 4/5
Pet friendly hotel, spacious room, and the staff were very nice! Good, hot breakfast every morning. Big bathroom, which can be converted to more bedroom space. Heavy traffic on the street - people were driving at high speed while I walked my dog on the lawn area/sidewalk of the busy street. Parking garage has low ceiling/roof and is very narrow. Location is very close to light rail. I didn't safe walking around the premise since there was a couple homeless people roaming around at night time.
- 5/5
We forget some items in the refrigerator and they held them until we were able to come back.
- 5/5
Hotel was very convenient to freeway, metro rail, and sites on the north and west side of the city. Staff was VERY friendly and helpful! The manager Fred was OUTSTANDING!! We would definitely stay here again!
- 2/5
The carpet looks very old and dirty, the sofa bed is super hard and almost like sleep directly on the spring. Parking is super hard for vans and SUV, and they are angry of any help you ask even you deserve the help. !!!worst thing, the parking garage has mice, we are struggling to get mice out. Breakfast is also a nightmare, there are long lines for toast and pancakes, that's pretty much what they provide. Both can be prepared or pre cooked.

We stayed over for 4 nights while we were on a trip to see the Getty Museum and Villa after Christmas. We stayed on the 3rd floor in a suite with a balcony and extra TV area with a couch, a mini fridge, and a microwave. The space was great, but the facility is aging. Parking for standard sized and smaller vehicles was located under the building. To access it, we had to drive between two buildings down a single lane ramp that had a 90 degree corner and a sheer drop off at the bottom. Fortunately, we found the hotel had a different small lot with spaces for larger vehicles on ground level. The advantage of parking under the building was it was connected to the elevator. The only way to get the luggage cart to the vehicle was to roll it down the ramp to the parking area because there are steps that separate the check in area from the rooms. Hotel staff helped us with moving our luggage to our room. Since we moved the truck to the large vehicle parking area, we had to carry our luggage to the front door, bring the truck around, and load up there when we checked out.The breakfast included eggs and meat along with a pancake machine, bagels, muffins, fruit, and the usual drinks.

Old and jaded motel but with convenient room and a parking garage with ceiling so low that opening the back door of my sub-compact SUV touched it.

The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was ok but minimal. Many floor squeeks and thumps from people upstairs. On a busy street but it was quiet at night. Overall ok for one night in a pinch.
