Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews, with guests appreciating its convenient location and friendly staff, but expressing concerns about the cleanliness, condition, and size of the rooms. The parking situation is also a common complaint, with guests finding it tight and difficult to maneuver, and some were unhappy about the additional parking fee.
- Convenient location
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Rooms need updating and better cleaning
- Parking is tight and may incur an additional fee
- 1/5
Horrible - dirty, toilet wasn’t functioning properly, face plates for outlets were missiing with holes in it he wall, and the door trim/frame was literally popped out from the wall. Not a safe place. Very disappointing given the prior reviews. We spent less than 45 minutes in the room. Just enough time to make a reservation for another hotel in Westwood and to get an Uber to get us to the new hotel.
- 2/5
Your basic motel, with a bit of renovation
- 5/5
So easy, clean and employees knowing what a traveller needs when their arriving before they arrive, as well as making it stress-less on checkout. The area feels safe and easy access to public transport, uber and waymo
- 5/5
I really loved the receptionist! We talked and got to know each other and she was really concerned for my safety well me and my wife’s safety actually because we are both females and she told me how dangerous it could get in downtown LA! So it was refreshing to have someone who just didn’t want my business but to also remain safe !
- 5/5
Staff were great
- 5/5
Cute clean remodeled property. Staff were nice. Bed was a bit noisy
- 4/5
Clean room every thing was very nice and organized
- 3/5
Property is pretty run down, feels very dark. Weird location. Little to zero bathroom amenities. But beds were comfortable. Fine for a short stay.
- 3/5
The location is great. There is no elevator to upper floor. Attention details was not good, our shower drain was slow so you were standing in water. The first room had a high pitched noise from the air conditioning so we were moved to a larger room. Only tiny bar of soak, conditioning shampoo and shower gel as amenities . Had to ask for more towels. Rooms on street side a be noisy. Good value but will pass next time.
- 2/5
No coffee in room, part of the curtain fell down. Climbed on chair to fix and found out that the curtain was nailed into wall. Chain on door was broken. Did not feel safe. It was just nasty!
- 3/5
Bare minimum for everything. Charges $20 for parking. I guess that's everywhere nowadays.
- 5/5
Great stay - clean room - nice staff.
- 2/5
If you’re by yourself and noise doesn’t bother you and you need to be in Westwood this is for you. Otherwise it not worth the money you’ll “save”. Very little space in the bathroom for toiletries, no functional windows, no place to hang towels, tiny amount of soap and shampoo. There were 2 of us and impossible to unpack even essentials. I’m a light sleeper. Could hear everything inside next rooms. And “gym” is literally a storage room. We left early and went to Ramada inn feeling like luxury after that.
- 5/5
A little old and dingy, had a lot of space in the room worked for me
- 4/5
room is clean , staff are good and air conditioning works fine. Parking just fine
- 1/5
Staff was not professional. Made a big deal about parking.didnt print a receipt. Had to check things multiple times to verify information. To be fair the man on the phone was professional. The lady working was not
- 4/5
Excellent service at the reception desk this morning during check-out. Thanks for the very nice chat 😊
- 5/5
Clean nice room, great location, great price.
- 5/5
Who knew LA could have such an oasis of calm and friendliness? This is a wonderful, cozy and neighborly hotel nestled in a quiet, walkable neighborhood of excellent restaurants. We enjoyed a peaceful, comfortable room with a window that opens (a rare gift in a hotel). The staff was exceptional - so friendly. Glad we stayed here vs a big-box hotel. We will recommend the LA Sky Boutique Hotel to friends and family.
- 3/5
The hotel looks much nicer in the photos but in reality it isn’t. However staff were very nice and helpful
- 5/5
It all went as smoothly as I could have hoped.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 3/5
Wash room, resorption and brake fast
- 5/5
A+
- 3/5
The rooms were spotless, and while the portable A/C unit was a little noisy, it wasn't a dealbreaker. Since it wasn't crowded, the atmosphere was very peaceful. A huge plus was the front desk—they were incredibly accommodating and granted me a late checkout at no extra cost. Just a few logistics to keep in mind: the parking lot is tiny (about 10 spaces) and there is no elevator, so pack accordingly. It’s not an extravagant luxury stay, but for a clean and quiet spot, I’d definitely return!
- 3/5
So the base rate for the hotel was reasonable. 187.00However the pet fee for one night was 150.00 plus parking of 40.00. The parking lot is extremely small, had an F350 that cleared the driveway with inches to spare. They don’t disclose the pet fee when you book. Thankfully the front desk agent gave me a break on the pet fee.
- 5/5
Clean rooms. Kind staff
- 5/5
All good
- 5/5
Its a cute little place
- 5/5
The hotel was worth the price. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The room was nice and clean and had all the basics needed. Self parking is on-site for a reasonable fee per night.
- 5/5
Very easy parking, free of charge too. Amazing room , clean and easy to check in. LOVE IT
- 5/5
Really great staff. Easy check in and check out process. Only complaint is the AC is very loud, and price of stay too expensive for quality.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and clean room
- 2/5
Very gross. Hair everywhere, mysterious stains and holes in the wall, not even painted fully. Charged an arm and a leg for water. There's a community fridge in the bar, where no one works... it feels like a community rec room at a college, not a hotel that's just as expensive as the Beverly Hills Marriott. For some reason there's a giant tent covering all light that gets into the courtyard and no windows, so it feels like it is perpetually midnight. Water did not get hot. No amenities.
- 2/5
The TV remote did not work properly. The parking charge was not expected. One small towel in my room for bathing. The wall light switch is broken. The shower head and tub faucet handle were awful. They held $200 on my visa for incidentals, as there were none, for an overnight stay. The person who checked me in was courteous, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable, but I would not recommend this place.
- 4/5
Very old property that needs updating. Limited parking. Friendly staff and clean facilities.
- 5/5
The location is very good to visit UCLA and Century City mall. The parking is easy. The room is clean. I’ll continue to book it next time.
- 4/5
It was ok. Staff excellent. Room clean.
- 5/5
The room was immaculate, the frint desk person was friendly and helpful, and the bed was comfy.
- 3/5
The hotel shows a lot of signs of age. Cracking paint, pealing flooring loud and whinny ac units. Bed was okay. Very motel vibes.
- 5/5
Staff was super nice . I checked in late and the night guy was so helpful.
- 3/5
The towels had stains on them that were not washed ((blood or something), there were hairs (not ours) in the shower. A great location and cute place but the lady yelled at my Black daughter in the car when the car alarm accidentally went off but i had the key so she couldn’t stop it. It was a great price for location and not sketchy at all but cleanliness needs to improve!
- 4/5
Lukewarm water at absolute best. AC in first room went out. Was placed into a suite. Was happy overall with all but the temperature of each shower never being hot. Just warm enough and early mornings I was freezing it wasn't enough to warm up at all. But everything else was good enough. I was accommodated but I think I'd label it as a bit too pricey in my personal opinion for what is given. They were very protective of their linens. I was only given one small washcloth and two towels in each room. For the price , I'd expected a bit more memorable of something. However it was cute.
- 5/5
Rooms were clean and staff was friendly
- 3/5
The ac is set on error mode. The remote control hasn't worked at all. However I have changed the channel manually. The water pressure is decent enough. The water doesn't get more than just warm. Not warm enough, just warm. I don't care for the staff being so inquisitive of my personal affairs either.
- 5/5
Huge room and very clean bed
- 3/5
Staff was nice.
- 3/5
Room didn’t feel very clean on surfaces, towel was very stained with different colours, shower water didn’t go warm at all, very old furniture. The secondary lock on the door was broken off. It didn’t seem very close to any nice shopping areas but was 20 min drive from where we were shopping and 30 min drive from the airport. Staff were quite nice.
- 4/5
Cute little boutique hotel. Parking is an issue. Staff excellent. Clean, just on the older side.
- 4/5
small quaint location in a convenient area
- 5/5
Comfortable bed and separate AC or Heat for all preferences of temperature ranges
- 5/5
Good location. No frills
- 3/5
God bless, Jesus loves you!
- 5/5
This is a hidden gem in a fantastic location. We will definitely stay here again when in town visiting our family.
- 5/5
Clean hotel in a great centralized area. Pet friendly and has parking available.
- 4/5
Everything was great except they did not have any food or coffee.
- 5/5
In a great part of the city
- 4/5
The location, acceptable. The hotel in general, good but not fancy.
- 5/5
The overall stay was great, the staff is amazing. Always helping. Minor details in the property and rooms but everything was resolved on a timely manner. Will definitely recommend to stay here
- 3/5
If you want no frills, this is your place. The front desk staff was super cool, very easy checking in. The room was clean, but that about where the amenities end.
- 5/5
We had a good stay at this property, the staff is really friendly and helpful. Location is great, nearby good restaurants and shops.
- 5/5
The staff is very friendly and kind. We really enjoyed our stay. Great location if you’re running the LA marathon. Close to the finish line. Lots of restaurants
- 3/5
Something should be done to the sound proofing. Also offer you clients earplugs.
- 4/5
If you want a nice stay near enough to Santa Monica or other touristy spots with an AMAZING staff, this place is perfect. The rooms were quite old and in need of much updating, but the location, price, and staff were friendly, responsive, and supportive. We were barely in the hotel beyond sleeping, so this location was close to everything we needed. This hotel is for people that don't mind a more humble stay and are in town to explore, not be in their room.
- 5/5
I have been to this property before. It is a very clean and quiet property. It is extremely close to many amenities, restaurants, and local attractions including Westwood and Beverly hills. Very safe area. The staff is super attentive and amazing. Will come back!
- 5/5
Jonathan and Andrea were amazing to deal with. Great food recommendations within walking distance and I couldn't be happier with my stay. The rooms were clean, quiet and extremely affordable. We'll be back!
- 4/5
And very quiet and, with plenty of food and shops around. And the staff is absolutely awesome!!!
- 5/5
Awesome hotel!
- 5/5
Every staff member was incredibly helpful, friendly, and kind. I truly enjoyed my stay. The location is very convenient, which made the overall experience even better.
- 2/5
It was deception by photograph. The space was run down, not the cleanest and definitely a badly-maintained hotel.
- 1/5
The room was to dirty...
- 5/5
Ben, Christian and Andrea were so helpful and provided great customer service. The accommodations were great! The location was perfect and very convenient. Very well priced too. Thanks L.A. Sky Boutique!
- 5/5
Room was spotless great little quaint spot will definitely come back
- 3/5
The room was ok. The beds were comfortable, although the cleanliness of the sheets was questionable. The air conditioner worked, but was very noisy. The hotel felt safe and staff was friendly and helpful.
- 3/5
It’s more of a motel than hotel. Rooms are dated and bathroom wasn’t so great. But the staff is lovely and happy to help out. Parking is inexpensive and easy to get in and out.
- 3/5
The shower needs to be turned just slightly on for hot water (not logical). There is not ample soap or shampoo/conditioner in the shower. It’s says animals are welcome but there was no place to run them or allow them to do their business other than the parking lot behind the hotel. The floor of our room was dirty so we could not walk bare feet during our stay. We had two towels and had to ask for more. There were no hangers in the closet. It rained the last day we were there and the courtyard in the hotel had rain coming through and pouring onto the stairs. Like a law suit waiting to happen should someone slip. I was hoping to like this place but overall too pricey for what you get.
- 4/5
Location was perfect mid-way between our two venues and walkable to some great restaurants. The lady at the front desk was helpful in recommending restaurants and kind. The setup of the hotel does allow to hear the coming and going of other guests, but we still had a good stay.
- 1/5
Disgusted. Got zero sleep because the front desk started banging on my door around midnight demanding I let him in to prove I wasn't taking a shower because they had a leak downstairs. I only stayed here to get some sleep before a medical procedure and ended up with no sleep and was charged more than quoted. I should have had a free night but they refused. They said I got free parking and a room upgrade even though I never asked for it.
- 5/5
Clean room good service
- 5/5
Spotless, good service,
- 4/5
Room was clean and desk staff very nice and welcoming. Hotel is conveniently located.
- 3/5
The location is great, as it is very convenient (with a vehicle) to get to many places relatively quickly.
- 4/5
Courteous and friendly staff and close to several bus lines covering West LA and Santa Monica.
- 1/5
Th room
- 2/5
Bed was noisy. Old style. Floor has broken gaps.
- 3/5
Cleanliness, noise
- 5/5
Room was very clean. Staff were super helpful. Great location. A hidden gem if you want some privacy, low key, functional accommodations. Will go back for sure!
- 4/5
Clean and comfortable. Didn’t like the enclosed courtyard - it looks cool but I think open air would’ve been better, smelled the strong cleaning chemicals soon as you walked in. Had to change rooms to get an outside window. Which they did for no charge or hassle.
- 4/5
Nice, Hungarian lady receptionist provided excellent dining recommendations.
- 4/5
Staff were super friendly, room was clean and presentable.
- 4/5
Air condition ok, super friendly staff, some shop nearby.
- 4/5
Love It thank you
- 5/5
Hotel was great, but more importantly I made a booking error, and the staff went out of their way to fix it. Very friendly and total lifesavers!
- 4/5
This was nice for a one night stay for business. I wasn't super excited about the courtyard being covered with no natural light coming into the property. Felt very depressing.
- 5/5
Clean rooms + friendly & helpful staff!
- 5/5
We had the best stay. We were here for one night for our honeymoon and the staff couldn't have been any more helpful. Clean place and great location. And thanks for the restaurant recommendations!
- 5/5
Cute hotel in close proximity to a lot of local attractions such as Beverly Hills, Westwood, and UCLA. Staff was great. Room was clean. Overall, a great stay. Will comeback.
- 2/5
No heating. No hot water.
- 5/5
Clean, convenient location, nice staff
- 5/5
ONE OF MY BEST SURPRISE OF 2025 AND START OF 2026. THIS WAS AN EXCELLANT EXPERIENCE. SMALL BUT SO CONFORTABLE. THE ENTIRE STAFF WAS SO HELPFUL. I HOPE TO RETURN.
- 5/5
Staff
- 5/5
Been here before.
- 5/5
I had an exceptional stay at this hotel and couldn’t be more impressed with the overall experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, professional, and genuinely attentive, making me feel welcomed and taken care of throughout my stay. The room was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable, offering a peaceful and relaxing environment. The amenities were top-notch, the location was convenient, and every detail reflected a high standard of service. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, stress-free, and memorable stay.
- 5/5
Excellent! Room was bigger than I expected by the pictures and the place is super cute. Staff were extremely cool and laid back and as a solo woman traveler I felt extremely safe(not always the case when I travel alone). Next time I'm in Los Angeles I'll be staying here.
- 5/5
Really great location and near my office which was a big plus. Staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. Only a 15 minute drive to the beach with traffic was also a plus for my morning run.
- 5/5
Very clean rooms and super nice staff! Loved my stay here and will certainly stay again. Very close walking distance to some great dinner spots as well. Thanks, Sky Hotel!
- 5/5
Amazing hotel with great amenities. Very clean room with pleasant hotel staff and guests. Definitely would come again!
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was very kind and helpful. Would stay again :)
- 5/5
Great location. Close to everything. I will be back!
- 5/5
It was a really great stay. Very friendly hosts and clean rooms. Great location. I would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Receptionist Andrea was so helpful & kind, her customers service skills were excellent.. only thing was the iron pad & chair in the room was very dirty in the room.
- 4/5
Very nice place, had a noise in Neighbor unfortunately but the staff was very understanding and attentive
- 5/5
GREAT location... very walkable... "Apple Pan" and "Bakery LA"
- 3/5
Room is ok and staff is friendly. The room is very dark. There's a window but you have to have the curtain closed the entire time as otherwise you have no privacy. The toilet in the bathroom keeps dripping water.
- 5/5
We had such a pleasant stay. Christian went above and beyond and helped us carry all of our (embarrassing amount) luggage up the stairs. The rooms were large and very clean and the price was amazing!
- 5/5
Hotel was great. Very decorative, spotless clean, staff was extremely friendly. Totally enjoyed the stay. Wpuld recommend and would come back if in the area.
- 5/5
Room was clean and quiet. Staff was especially polite and accommodating
- 4/5
The hotel was good enough for the price. Parking around back. Kind of sketchy but there is a door to get inside. Definitely an older hotel/indoor motel. Shower wasn't great. Bed was fine. Felt kind of dirty overall but served the purpose of a cheap stay near LA. Staff was super kind and friendly. Provided the extras we needed for the room without hesitation.
- 5/5
We had a great stay at the La Sky Hotel. Andrea couldn’t have been kinder upon check-in, and the location was perfect for our needs. So close to everything! We'll definitely be back.
- 5/5
Very clean rooms. And staff wasbvery helpful and friendly
- 5/5
Great location, friendly staff, cute little hotel. I’ve stayed multiple times and have loved it.
- 5/5
Staff very accommodating & curteous
- 5/5
Great staff and communication. Helped me modify my stay after my flight was cancelled. Will for sure stay here again!
- 5/5
Loved my stay at LA Sky Boutique Hotel. The staff were very nice and helpful. Everyone I talked to went out of their way to make sure I had what I needed. The room was super clean, comfortable, and had a really nice modern feel. Great location in Westwood too. I’d definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Ben, who went out of his way to make sure everything was smooth during my stay. Everyone I interacted with was welcoming, which made the whole experience feel really comfortable and safe. My room was clean, well-kept, and had everything I needed. It’s also in a really good location right in the heart of Westwood, close to restaurants, cafés, and UCLA. Overall, I had a pleasant experience staying here.
- 5/5
The hotel is in a great location. The hotel is peaceful and cozy. The room was nice and clean. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. In close proximity to a lot of attractions. I would come back again!
- 1/5
Bed was not good.. there is no proper water shower .. AC/heater is not in good condition. Parking is extra $20/day
- 2/5
The hotel appears well worn. No shops nearby. Did find some nice eating places.
- 5/5
Nice staff
- 5/5
Great staff.
- 4/5
Clean, beautiful room. Lovely lady gave us an extra blanket. Room heater was available. We stayed during once in 100 year rains. Despite them having a tent, water still caused a small stream in the beautiful courtyard which made walking to and from your room impossible to not get wet feet. Definitely stay here but only when it's dry.
- 1/5
Dirty room besides the bedding & towels. Weird smell throughout entire building. Floorboards come up in front of bathroom. Not worth the money
- 5/5
Fast check in
- 5/5
Love the courtyard. Even with the rain. Staff were extremely friendly.
- 5/5
Highly recommended this place.
- 3/5
The room we were in (218) was lacking and felt like lipstick on a pig. The bathroom needs some work- paint peeling, ceiling has water damage, caulking replaced and an awkward single shelf area that could be inexpensively upgraded to be more useful. The bedroom area felt like an upgraded Motel 6 to be honest. Small mini fridge on floor- why not on a small table? Or maybe this could go on that weird shelf in bathroom? Air Con didn't function well. The room was dark because the only window was the one looking out to the walkway and anyone walking by could look in so drapes were always closed The wall in the bathroom is an outside wall and could easily accommodate a window. It's unfortunately because the staff was fantastic and it was an excellent location to the UCLA area. For that price, I would have expected the room to be more pulled together.
- 1/5
Just awful. After two hours I left and went to a far superior place a couple of streets over.
- 3/5
Staff were awesome, place was a bit run down and always full of cleaning staff. Was surprised for an 8+ rated hotel and for the price
- 4/5
Clean room!
- 4/5
Funky hotel in Westwood. The room was comfortable, but was mosquito-infested. There were the three I killed and marks on the walls resulting from the hunting of previous guests. Note also that parking is limited in their lot.
- 5/5
It was hudge spotless.
- 2/5
The room was very cold and we were so disappointed. Stay there many times and it was great. It’s really gone downhill.
- 5/5
Wonderful little hotel, clean, comfortable, fantastic staff. Parking is a little tight, about fifteen spots in a small parking area out back. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Everything was clean and staff was very cordial
- 5/5
Checkin was fast, friendly and efficient.
- 4/5
Clean
- 5/5
the air conditioner dripped onto the polished marble floor (a hazard for my 84 yo father with a cane and balance issues) and the walls were thin enough that I was aware of when and what my neighbors were doing in their bathrooms (inconvenient late at night) no separate beds on the ground floor and no elevator (harder for my dad to make work) staff were kind and thoughtful.
- 4/5
The front desk was incredibly kind, friendly and helpful. Honestly, she made the stay! Loved her and her recommendations. Noise travelled a lot so if you’re a light sleeper, get a room on the top floor or maybe elsewhere. Overall it was good for the price and for what we needed.
- 5/5
Staff accommodated adding a fridge to the room
- 5/5
Clean room ,comfortable bed. Visible cracks in the floor other then that great stay
- 1/5
This hotel was absolute trash. The pictures a complete catfish. The hotel is dated, dreary and unsafe. The previous reviews do not match the experience at all. A complete disgrace. And Expedia should be ashamed for not helping me to get a refund as I had just booked it an hour before arriving. Tried to cancel at arrival and got charged for two full nights even though I left the property after 10 minutes. So completely unimpressed all around.
- 2/5
Toilet did not work. They tried to fix it and couldn’t. They should have switched our room. Unacceptable.
- 2/5
It’s in a safe area and front desk staff is very nice but my room was on the first floor and the door didn’t have a chain/security lock. It smelled musty and when I showered the drain was completely clogged and I had to stand in the water. The walls are thin so I heard the conversations of the people next to and above me all night. It is motel quality.
- 4/5
Clean room, excellent friendly staff and the area felt safe. Walking distance to public transport where you can get to Santa Monica. The hotel is a bit dated but overall a good stay, would stay again.
- 1/5
Never stay in this place again
- 4/5
Cheap and clean boutique option
- 5/5
Clean friendly staff in downtown Hollywood. For the price it doesn't get much better than this.
- 5/5
The staff were very welcoming. I felt they were mindful of my safety as a solo traveler and
- 4/5
All the staff was really nice and welcoming.
- 4/5
Staff was very attentive
- 4/5
Very good
- 3/5
Staff was helpful. The room was old, dirty, shower was terrible, the air conditioner was leaking water. Our room had no body mirror behind the door. It was broken and looked so ghetto. Room was so bad that we didn't want to sleep in the sheets. I woke up with many bug bites. Checked the mattress for bedbugs. Will not return.
- 5/5
The hotel signage was easy to miss at night. And you could tell that even though it was refurbished, it wasn’t done with the best quality products. That’s about as nit picky as I can get and I know it’s a tiny issue. Being in an older building I was impressed it looked as good as it did. I’d stay here again in a heart beat over other locations in the area. It was also cool that it was so close to the iconic Apple Pan restaurant.
- 5/5
Very lax ! Chill staff
- 5/5
Andrea was great and very helpful in taking care of things when my daughter's apartment was not ready. Cameras in the parking lot made me feel better.
- 4/5
The room was reasonably clean. The place is older and nothing fancy. The people who work there and run the place are great. Very helpful and accommodating. The neighborhood has some great food within easy walking distance.
- 5/5
Good people
- 5/5
Clean, fast check in/out. Friendly staff :)
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Quiet, clean, not far from downtown. If you are looking for a good place for a good price, this is the place! Free parking, a little tight but they make sure you have a spot. Huge!!!
- 5/5
Close to everything especially to UCLA
- 4/5
Very convenient location. Comfortable bed. Interesting old hotel.
- 5/5
The staff is very friendly and great with making sure you have everything available. We needed a fridge in our room and within minutes they brought one in. Room 103 has a gigantic shower space!!
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
Great service!!!
- 5/5
Front desk was very helpful and process was simple and easy
- 5/5
It was just what I needed
- 5/5
Great location to stay at to visit multiple areas in Los Angeles
- 5/5
Was an absolute pleasure. Front desk was extremely kind and even though the parking lot was full there was parking in front of the hotel and the man at the front desk put money in the meter in case I didn’t wake up in time. Would recommend
- 5/5
Great location. Small boutique hotel with comfortable bed.
- 5/5
Really nice stay!
- 5/5
Staff was incredibly nice. The room was clean. Overall a great stay ❤️
- 5/5
Good local, nice rooms friendly staff
- 5/5
Good for the price.
- 3/5
The hotel was fine. If I turned on the AC and the fan I didn’t hear noise outside my door. Beds were comfortable. Very basic but the location was what I needed.
- 5/5
It’s a great place, perfect location, friendly staff, very clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
This was an amazing stay!! The manager was SOOO nice and friendly, and the lady that with the beautiful accent, SHE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! SUPER SIPER SWEET AND VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL... I WILL BE FOR SURE VOMI G BACK HERE IF EVER IN LA AGAIN!! THANK YOU..
- 3/5
Limited parking, dated property, cheap soaps
- 5/5
Close to where I needed to Be
- 5/5
It's clean and safe, easy to my UCLA. a little noise could be heard.
- 4/5
First of all, this place is a great value. That said, the property is funky. The rooms do not have exterior windows but open onto a shared courtyard that's sort of open to the sky and has fluorescent lighting. The furniture and decor seem to be that glam look that was popular around 2012-2015 and is ok. I had a problem with the air conditioner in my room smelling of mildew so they were kind enough to switch me to another room the second night. That room had a portable air conditioner because the in-room one was broken. The toilet ran constantly but the noise from the portable air conditioner drowned it out. The place is clean, but just needs some maintenance and TLC. I found the front desk staff super friendly and cool. The parking is free and the parking lot is protected and monitored via security cameras. It's located in a part of Westwood that is awaiting renewal. I think if you are very budget-conscious, this is not a bad spot.

This is not a nice hotel. No mention of parking fee on Expedia Site, and yet they proceeded to charge me for parking, in an open lot that has no business charging for parking. Moreover, they have no elevator and the Jerry rigged air conditioner did not work properly! Bad experience!

Good location.

Friendly staff.

Very friendly staff. Clean room and welcoming hotel. Would recommend :)

The staff was amazing and completely ensured that the experience was not as much of a crap shoot as it could have been. The room itself was small but comfy, spend the extra 20$ on a larger room. Parking is a nightmare , the limited lot in the back is a PITA to get in and out of, spots fill up quick but the staff will find you a solution (Afterall, you pay 20$ for each night for the parking spot!) Overall, it is an OK place in a central area. Getting around there is a pain and you dont really want to go walking after dark. On the flip side, it is right between santa monica and beverly hills, so location is the reason to stay there. Overall, would not stay again, but again, the staff were awesome, again thanks to them for making sure it was not as bad as it could have been. Btw, the "Gym" was used as a storage space. The restaurant and bar that was advertised, well ... i don't think it existed. There was a little bar that was ran by the same person running the front desk.

First time visiting and would definitely come back again if in the area. Thank you L.A. Sky!

Property is cute the rooms are large but not what the photos show so when booking don’t up grade because you won’t get that room

Very comfortable bed and bedding! We got an upgrade to a suite and it was so lovely!

Bed was creaky and mattress was substandard.

Nice, clean boutique hotel without all the extra price tag

Although the area around the hotel isn’t the most upscale, I felt very safe walking around—even at night. As a woman traveling alone, that really mattered to me. Plus, the hotel is conveniently located right next to a bus stop, and the buses take you to different parts of UCLA, which made getting around super easy. The room itself was very small—a single room with no luxury—but it was clean, quiet, and surprisingly comfortable. If you’re not looking for anything fancy and just need a solid place to stay near UCLA, this hotel definitely does the job

Very nice people, cute place, quiet. Great for a quick trip. Not much around the hotel to actually do but was great overall.

Really nice at check in. Cute property clean room but the bed was terrible. Mattress was shot and bed creaked with any movement.

Great boutique hotel with easy access to LAX
- 3/5
I didn’t like the fact they charge $200 for security deposit when other hotels charge 100
- 5/5
I was very surprised of how clean and comfortable it was for a good night sleep. The recommendation to a cafe nearby and how the receptionist took her time to explain to me where to go and park in Beverly Hills cafe was very helpful. Parking was easy at the hotel as well. Staff was very nice.

The room where I slept had a problem with the cooling system so the hotel installed a mobil one but really noisy !!!
- 5/5
Clean room, could use elevator and fridge

Only 1 small shampoo, no conditioner, no shower gel. The bathroom was dark, fan didn’t work right, fan light was out. My first experience with Expedia, not what I expected for $200 a night. Not a good experience at all.

It was a great price for West LA in a good location. Hotel was very clean and quiet. Reasonable parking available. No elevator. Kind and helpful staff. No frills.

We were treated with professionalism by the staff, always pending to our needs. We highly recommend the hotel for family atmosphere, service and convenience.

Very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Great location as well.

Very unique place, well priced. They keep the place clean. The decor is clearly someone trying to be very creative to refurbish an old motel but i kinda digged it as a california la ecperience

Property is currently undergoing ownership change, so hopefully accommodations will improve in future. Staff was very friendly, helpful and it was great that they assisted with guest parking as the spots were very tight. The room was clean, but was very 'run down'; doors on closet and bathroom didn't close, shower backed-up/drained very slowly, lots of nicks in wall, scratched furniture, damaged rods and fixtures, bed creaked with little movement. . . walls were also pretty thin and you could hear all activity upstairs and in courtyard. Overall the hotel is cute and has tremendous potential with room improvements. It was still a comfortable stay and was great for the price point being one of the more affordable options in the area.

Had a nice one night stay at the LA Sky Boutique. Simple rooms and really nice staff. The interior patio area is a nice escape from the hectic city outside.

I had an issue with the toilet running every 20-30 minutes due to a leaky flapper valve. It was unclear to me why this could not be fixed/replaced when there is a hardware store down the street. I told the front desk after my first night and their solution was for me to turn off the water to the toilet. I was there for 3 nights and this was not fixed during my stay.

Its the best place to stay when you want to be near UCLA. The service was great! The room was super cold when we got in which was great. It was clean. Thank you.

No coffee or fridge in the room. TV very small. Can hear people upstairs.

it seemed like a 2 star, not a 3 star. cheap furniture, hard bed, crappy parking for $20.

Parking 20 dollars and it's tight. They should just let you park for free

I stayed for 2 nights and when I was leaving they denied to refund the 200$ security deposit I paid them on arrival as there was ‘towel damage’, which was a small bit of tan on a towel! I couldn’t believe this and asked could I speak to the manager who was not there so instead the receptionist gave me an email and said he is an ‘honest man’. He was anything but an honest man! After I emailed Ben (The Owner), he said they needed to keep the security deposit due to this towel and that they also had to wash the bed clothes as there was signs of tan on it. I argued that the bed clothes should be cleaned before a new customer stays anyway and how would this cost $200? I got no response and they kept the money. The security deposit was clearly a money making scheme, would NOT reccomend.

Location Minimum amenities. One bath towel for the two of us. Asked for an additional towel and they were out. The bed had only a bottom sheet, no top sheet only a comforter; very yucky! Several weeks later I get my Visa bill with a $40 charge from this “hotel “. They tell me it’s because the wash cloth and hand towel had stains on them. My wife used them to remove makeup. First time in 60 years a hotel has charged for that. $40 for a wash cloth and hand towel??? Third rate hotel!

Nothing You have to pay $20 for parking , the rooms are not clean. There was toilet paper taped on the ceiling in the bathroom to cover a vent. I paid using my card with booking . Com , site requires a $200 deposit if you use your card they said it will take 3 days to get deposit back. I was charged $100 for using the bathroom wash clothes to wash make up off my face and make up that hit on a blanket when I was sleeping. I paid the $100 site rudder to give me a receipt that I paid for so called damages . Staff is very rude and unfriendly.

The location was good. The rooms were noisy. The air conditioner unit needed to be serviced. The hotel was almost empty but they put a party group above me. At 2am I asked to be moved but they put me in another ground floor room which had neighboring doors slamming. I should have been put on the 2nd floor after the first experience. There should be a safe in the room of a ground floor unit. I did not feel safe leaving anything in the room.
