Getting into the parking was tough the first time. The girl at the front desk noted my stay included a certified trained service animal and proceeded to ask me what the dog was trained for what were my disabilities were. We were there for a proceedure at vca west lost angeles and i was already nervous. I was told I was going to be charged a cleaning fee for my dog. She kept asking medical questions and after drivibg 3 1/2 hours i was able to stay at the hotel. So stressful

Not much going on in this motel. The staff was personable, but scarce. Underground parking was nice to have, but no gates. The motel has lots of homeless in the area so parking two stories underground didn't feel safe as a woman. When taking the garage stairs there was a makeshift mat under the stairs leading to me exiting the stairwell. Fortunately there is a room key operated elevator. The rooms could use updating and the visual security could be better. The nearby sidewalks were being torn up during our stay so walking around would have been difficult. Stayed 3 nights without incident.

I wouldn’t walk by myself at night directly around the hotel. Once you walk towards little Osaka it’s totally fine, but right around the hotel I felt a little uncomfortable to be alone at night.

The hotel room was clean and very comfortable. It helped that it was right off the freeway. The staff were all friendly. What I loved the most was the breakfast!! This has been one of the best hotels with great food options. I was in a rush for dad’s surgery and couldn’t eat there but staff were great help with helping me take some food to go. They had from omelettes, sausage patties, bacon, bagels, oatmeal, yogurt, small protein milk to go and fresh fruit. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again in the future

You can imagine the noise levels of course. And if you get used to the traffic noise, you will have the very old air conditioning unit that sounds like a truck in your room. If you turned off the airco, you are left with the mini fridge that sounds about the same. Even if you get used to all that noise, you are left with a bed that sinks quite a bit and even I with my light weight could feel the springs. I booked this hotel for 4 nights and left after 1 night. That was my personal experience.

The room was clean and comfortable. WiFi worked well. Staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was extensive in the there was plenty of variety although the food was good but ordinary. Location was very convenient and the parking garage was excellent - easy to get in and out of and good access to the key streets. However, the location was noisy due to traffic on Santa Monica Blvd.

Safe hotel, safe parking, friendly front desk staff, hotel seems newly updated. Negatives were my room’s entry and bathroom floors were stained and dirty and bathroom mirror damaged. But overall, an OK stay.

Room was small..carpet little shabby..only oke elevator for 70+ rooms at the property. Breakfast place was crowded and did not have enough seating available.

Our room was facing 405 Freeway and it was extremely noisy. We were not able to sleep. We asked the front desk to move us to the room that wasn't facing the freeway, unfortunately they were not able to accommodate our requests.

They stuck us in a room that faced a very busy on ramp to a major freeway. Sleep was very difficult because of all the noise.

Super friendly staff from the front desk to the cleaning staff. Rooms were really clean and updated. Lots of plugs to charge devices. Hot water super fast. Parking is good. A terrific hotel to stay close to the pier and century city.

Room was nice and comfortable as you would expect from a holiday inn Express. Was not expecting the $$$30 parking fee. Had I know we could have stayed somewhere else We were only here to visit UCLA and didn't need to walk around but the neighborhood is not great.

Fix it and NO body bothered, no room service either only rather friendly staff but not doing their job. For 2 nights we had no toilet flush. High price for this run down hotel.

I really enjoyed this hotel! I took my model un team and was pleasantly surprised to see the staff more than welcoming and able to do so much for our group. They were incredibly nice and efficient. From the morning staffers to the night with the nice young man, who helped with any request. I enjoyed how clean and well staffed the breakfast was. We look forward to coming back!

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The only thing to knock was the outside noise - the windows could aren’t thick enough for this urban sprawl and the door is even worse. The outside noise from people came in like we were staying a cheap motel at times. But, it’s still a good place to stay. Better if your room isn’t facing the freeway or Santa Monica Blvd

We had a great stay at Holiday Inn Express. Raul at the front desk was so welcoming and helped us prepare for our stay. Candy in housekeeping checked in on us making sure we had everything we needed. We had a great stay and would recommend this hotel!

Very convenient and ample handicapped parking spaces. Quick check-in and very friendly staff throughout our stay. Hotel is really convenient to UCLA, VA hospital, shops and restaurants. Appreciated the extra pillows, and the open-air, rooftop lounge area.

We arrived after a long drive, my kids were out to bed. When I went to go use te restroom I noticed there was blood on the bathroom door and light switches. I came down to the lobby and let them know what I had found. They offered to come clean but given it was 4am I de lined and asked for a rag to clean it myself. The next night when we got back the bed my daughter and I slept it was full of ants. My husband and I tried to shake the bedding but we continued to find ants that we found were coming from under the mattress. I went down to the lobby and let them know again the problem. They offered to switch us rooms which we accepted. The next morning I let management know and they were very concerned. Overall the amenities and breakfast were great. I just wish our room would of been clean and aunt free.

Everything was great. We had 2 rooms. We walked across the street to get some food & came back to the eating area (breakfast area) to play games with the kids & have our dinner together. The Breakfast & the hosts were amazing Lolie & Antonio were great & served us a wonderful breakfast.

Superior customer service from all staff from front desk to housekeeping to Antonio in the breakfast area. Breakfast and coffee was great! Lobby had some games to play - a cool fun feature. I needed to print something and the lobby has a printer free of charge which was quite helpful. A great experience for a short stay. It is a bit noisy off the freeway (construction and motorcycles ) but I had good quality earplugs for that!

The room on 4th floor has terrible wifi signal. The smell of old building in our room, have to run the ac for a while to “soften” the scent. Breakfast is great and staffs are very polite.

Overall it was great, but they did forget to clean our room even though I had scheduled it. They did provide new towels and took out the trash when I asked.

Professional front desk

It was a quick visit to LA, but enjoy the hotel. It’s modern, comfy and clean. Love that you have breakfast at the hotel that is included. Easy to get to by car, entrance to the freeway is right next to it. Will be coming back again.

The hotel was well kept and clean. It was almost impossible to find the parking garage entrance and the hotel lobby. We finally went in the exit and the lobby was there. I was disappointed that the rooftop lounge was just a sitting area and not a bar. We got there about 8 and there were very few places that were open to eat.

Comfortable bed and room, but at night we can hear the steps of people on the top floor.

Decent stay. Room was nice and clean. AC unit was loud and woke me up during the night. Shower water pressure was just sad, had to stand in there for minutes to wash my hair. Breakfast options were very limited but at least they had a pancake machine. Service and cleanliness was good throughout.

The hotel in general is good. The area surrounding the hotel, not so much. Travelers beware. However, I did enjoy my stay and it's a go to hotel for me when in this specific area.

Noisy area but great location. Ants were inside our room. Water pressure was low. Shower and Bathroom had hair on floor. Carpet under AC was wet so mold might be under it. We left early after these issues and they charged us full price for 1st night despite all the issues.

Check in was terrible because there was n clear instructions how to get into the building. Once we were inn we went directly to basement and bring all our luggage by pulling from basement.

The Hotel Managers especially Raphael are exceptionally kind and helpful. The 5 stars are for them. All the staff here is very helpful and kind and accomodating.

The continental breakfast was great, the location was perfect for traveling, and the beds were comfortable. But the staff of this hotel needs to likely be increased to maintain the property better.

The exterior and direct surroundings were a bit worrisome but once your on the property, we found a very clean, safe hotel with wonderful customer service, perfect rooms and yummy breakfasts. The location was convenient for many great attractions.

The property is right next to the freeway on-ramp and off-ramp. The first night was pretty noisy, and the second night was horrific. When checking out, I asked if they could comp something due to the issue since I did not sleep well (the second night, I didn't sleep well one bit). However, I was rudely told upon checking out by the front desk person that I should have asked the front desk to swap my room. Fair enough, but the second night I was already in my underwear in bed trying to fall asleep. I wouldn't pack everything up and change my room in the middle of the night. Sure, that would have been the optimal resolution. But the hotel could have compensated my $50 parking fee for the inconvenience. It's about hospitality, not blaming the guest for the hotel being next to the freeway. I definitely won't be back because of the noise from the freeway. If they at least tried to make it right at the end, I would give it another shot. I would rather spend more money to sleep in a decent hotel that is not right next to the freeway...

Loved how easy and convenient it was to get to everywhere i needed to go to. Staff was super friendly and honestly made it harder to leave! Loved everything about the stay, including the lovely hash browns that were part of the delightful free breakfast.

Clearly an older property, we didn’t have any issue with that. We were looking for a lower price point hotel. Room was clean. They did mess up and not have our room scheduled for service our last 2 days and when I brought it to their attention, they comped us our parking for our entire 7night stay, which I appreciated. Mistakes happen; it’s how they address the situation that is important. Staff was very nice. Continental Breakfast had individually wrapped plain bagels and wheat bread. I appreciated this; less hands reaching in and possibly touching. 2 flavors of chobani, 3 kinds of cereal, 3 kinds of jndividually packaged muffins, bananas, oranges, apples, juice, Quaker oatmeal. The hot breakfast was not good and we only ate it the first morning ( scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, sausage patty). We lived on bagels, yogurt, bananas. Our 2 queen room as small but served us adequately as we typically only need a place to sleep. No pool. Ample underground parking. Would we stay here again? No. We would pick a location that suited our family better. Will I continue to stay at Holiday Inn properties; yes I will.

The location was great! It made getting around easy, yet it was away from the busy (well busier) aspeicts if LA. Great service and clean rooms.

The location has both advantages and disadvantages; while it is convenient for visiting the LA area, being situated next to the highway makes it quite noisy. The room may be compact in size, yet it is neat and tidy. Although the breakfast lacks greatness, it is still satisfactory and offers various options.

This hotel is next to the 405 FWY on-ramp from Santa Monica Blvd. You can hear traffic and sirens. The staff was nice and they provide breakfast!

This hotel is on Santa Monica Boulevard and the entrance to the 405. We couldn't get any sleep due to the traffic noise all night. Half of the rooms are affected by the noise. This is a horrible location!!

The person doing the check in process was giving me slight attitude not sure why, so that wasn’t great. However, the person doing the check out was great, she was friendly and was helpful when I asked questions.

The pull down blind was broken. We stayed there before and it was fine. Just don't stay in room 301.

Ok for a basic stay, no bells or whistles. But cheaper than other places. Breakfast was fine. Room was smaller than expected. Extremely noisy as it is literally next to the freeway and we could not escape that noise.
