Our room was not ready, in fact people who we’re in our room, we’re granted a 4 PM check out they weren’t even out at 4 PM and our check-in was 4 PM. We did not get into our room until hours later and then our TV didn’t even work and we did not even get the room we paid for it was a mess. It was awful and the rooms were no better than a Holiday Inn.

This was such a delightful surprise. I have been booked in a different hotel across from strip mall and they had trouble checking me in because they would not accept Apple Pay. I quickly look for something nearby and I saw something that was closer to the beach. it was late, and I jumped in an Uber and arrived at this oasis. Everything from the design, to the food to the amenities was superb, but what truly stood out with the customer service, I was welcomed with open arms. And of course, Apple Pay was gladly accepted. A wonderful hotel!

The room was clean and comfortable but the check in process was extremely slow. There was a conference at the hotel which I was not notified about so there was a lot of drilling noise, the pool was closed and the lobby area was busy. The room service meal was terrible and delivered in a takeout container. You’d be better off ordering from a food delivery service. Wouldn’t stay again due to service.

Great property and very quiet. Beautiful view from our room. It is the second time we have stayed at this property and we have been very happy with it both times. Walkable to a lot of restaurants and stores is a plus!

Rooms are clean although I met a spider walking on the ceiling in the morning. I paid for a room with Golf Course view and that was the sole reason I made a reservation in this hotel. We were given a room that had no such view and were told that all rooms with a Golf view are full! For both Nights of our stay, there was a water shut off from 11pm to 6am. We had to spend 1 hour in the lobby talking to the manager to discuss the Golf view room and the fact that all the rooms with Golf view are on 6 and 7th floor where there is a major pipeline issue, and the rooms are not useable. The manager changed the price of each room down to regular room with no view plus breakfast for 3. Although the hotel manager tried to compensate us, I was not happy with how they made a false advertisement trying to sell or bring customers into the hotel for the Golf view pictures, and once you are in the hotel, you face with everything, but what you reserved and paid for. I would not go back to this hotel again and won't recommend it to friends and family.

The staff were wonderful. Friendly and polite.going out of their way to help The front desk was very accommodating to our room request. The wait staff and bar workers were top shelf. The physical plant was extremely clean with never a smidgen of dirt anywhere. The public/common restrooms were spotless. The food was delicious albeit quite spendy. $30 for a hamburger was steep … for a burger. I must admit it was a delicious burger. The bar drink prices were equally outrageous, but the espresso martini was good, but not $ 30 good. Poolside there was filtered water aplenty with a nicely heated pool. Unfortunately some of the male guests poolside were a tad loud, obnoxious and vulgar. ( not hotel’s fault). The absence of luggage totes /carts was annoying. Overall the experience was very pleasant. This is our 6+ time staying here and have two more family trips planned this year (2026) which include staying here.

I paid about $370 for one night, and one of the biggest issues was the water being completely shut off from 11pm to 6am. This meant no ability to shower, use the sinks, or even properly use the bathroom during that time. After getting back late from a concert, that was extremely inconvenient and honestly unacceptable for a hotel at this price point. Situations like that should come with some kind of discount or accommodation. I do want to give credit where it’s due — January at the front desk was excellent. She was welcoming, helpful, and honestly the highlight of the stay. The room itself was nice and the view was solid, but the restaurant experience the next morning was disappointing. The lobby restaurant only has around 7–8 tables, and we were told we couldn’t sit outside due to a lack of chairs, which seemed odd. Service was slow — we even saw another guest waiting over 10 minutes just to be acknowledged. We kept it simple and ordered: • 2 eggs • 1 side of potatoes • 2 coffees Total came out to $42, with a 20% tip already included — and then we were prompted to tip more. For that amount of food, that pricing felt excessive. Overall, not a terrible stay, but definitely overpriced for the experience. Given the water issue and overall service, I would expect better or some form of compensation. Next time I’d likely stay at Marina del Rey Hotel instead.

Staff at check in around graveyard times aren’t very diligent. I was given a wheelchair accessible room, which wasn’t what I booked. I was given an incorrect key. The staff didn’t even know what kind of card it was. On top of that, there was an emergency plumbing situation so

The property is very nice, clean and surprisingly has nice and friendly front desk staff! I received several curtesy emails from the property too explaining the breakdown of fees which was new for me. I was looking forward to the $30 credits (for 2/each), but when I got my breakfast bill it was like crickets…I paid almost $150 for breakfast for my little family of 4 (though I do not have small children) NOT INCLUDING our coffees we ordered from Starbucks (also available in the lobby).

Front desk staff were great - super helpful. I just didn’t like that a dirty room service tray from previous guests stayed outside my room as I was checking in / and for hours that afternoon. Reminded me someone had just checked out if room I was in and subconsciously made me worry if it was cleaned properly. Which it was. Was very clean.

The location being near the airport doesn't have a lot of decent dining options nearby. Moreover, the surrounding suburbs don't seem to be that good.

My daughter and son in law arrived 2 days ahead of us. I had booked them an upgraded room for their anniversary. Unfortunately, they had to move to a downgrade room because they had an adjoining room with other guests and they were so loud, it was disruptive. The pillows were horrible. They were so big it was hard to sleep comfortably on them. I am picky, so this may not be a big deal to someone else. I didn't sleep comfortably due to the pillows.

We recently stayed at the westdrift and I really liked how nice, and welcoming the hotel was. The staff was approachable and friendly. The area is very nice and close to several stores and restaurants. The only issue was the room needs updates. Beds were comfy.

The golf course was nice and the staff was friendly When we took a shower, even when the door was closed the water started to leak a lot outside of the shower. Also, when we tried to leave the parking garage our room key didn’t work and even once we closed out we were still being asked on the exit machine to pay $45 even though we already paid. We called for help and it took a little while to get the help, we even had to get out of line once to let other cars go.

I booked a room march 30 for 2 nights for a wedding. My boyfriend, what was paying for it, decided he wanted to go one day earlier. Since the trip could be cancelled, I booked the other trip first and then tried to cancel the other room. I noticed about 36 hours before the reservation that it had not properly cancelled thru Expedia. I called Expedia and they said the hotel agreed to cancel and remove charges… but my boyfriend was charged after all- for both nights Expedia told me they had take. Care of it and I would not be charged. Westcliff was not if any help when I called direct. They just said to file a grievance. They charges over $1000, when the room charge should have been $700.

This was the most amazing stay I have had in a long time. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms are very clean. The rooms are very spacious. The balconies are incredible that Overlook the golf course.

They didn’t have our room ready until after 7pm! We were going to a concert and didn’t have a place to get ready. Nobody cared at the property! Such bad customer service.

I also had an issue with billing on departure that when I checked my account a few days after departure that I had been charged more than what my checkout account stated. It took two emails over multiple days to get a response from management.

We liked this place so much we extended our stay for two nights instead of going to a friends house. Great pool, lots of dining, shopping and beach options very close. The restaurant on-site was great, and the $30 resort credit daily covered our coffee and pastries each morning. This will be our go-to hotel when visiting this area!

We love this hotel. Clean and spacious rooms, attentive staff, amazing lobby with restaurant and bar, golf course, pool and pickleball. It is not on the beach but you can walk there - it’s about 1.5 miles and there is a nice trail— Veterans Parkway down the road that will take you straight there. You can even rent a bike but hotel doesn’t have them, you need to rent from a local shop. Will definitely stay here in the future.

Lovely hotel and easy access to LAX. Nice leisure facilities - gym, pickle, swimming and golf. Short Uber ride to MB Village but walkable eating options to the hotel. Small issue with a vending machine not working which the hotel took care of very well. I stayed with my 2 kids. Very safe and clean. Lovely airy open area on the ground floor for eating & drinking. Look forward to returning.

There were a few negative things I would like to mention though is though. The dial on the mini fridge was broken, the metal plate in the bathtub fell off which revealed a bunch of rust, and the room carpet smelled.

I have enjoyed staying at the Westdrift for several years in a row. Great location, excellent staff, and good options for dining in the hotel. The bar is a fun place for all to hangout.

The extra resort fees were confusing at times and often required more clarification. The pool was not as nice as the photos. Food, drinks and other amenities were great.

We loved the entertainment for kids (of all ages) in the lobby and Pickleball. The cost of parking was really high considering where it is located.

My room was nice, seemed to have been renovated, this was a business trip for me and the lack of a proper desk was an inconvenience

The staff were amazing! But unfortunately the property is not great. Plumbing issues and very noisy accommodations. They did fix the plumbing issues quickly, but the noise issues were a problem. Management declined to address. I won’t stay at a Marriott property again.

I loved the hotel and you have great food and I really appreciate the front desk staff they were quick and efficient and helpful . What did not work for me this stay, which was my first, I came to get some rest and feel safe and in a clean environment. My reciepts for food had a $4.00 room service delivery fee and you add a $23% gratutiy for giving me a take out bag. Im totally not ok with this. Gratuties are based on service. NO ONE waited on me at all. They took my order nad I didnt even get real plates or silverware or anything. Not cool. Also it was very very noisy. They had people screaming up and down the hallway. I was quiet , I did mention that when I checked in. Then the housekeeper knows checkout is at 11am but she knocks loudly and wakes me up at 8am when Im sleeping. My biggest pet peave! don't knock if someone is not checked out!! for gods sake! I really wish you were better organized. Amber at the front desk was so helpful and emailed me to sort it out but this shoudl really not be allowed to just add $10 extra dollaqrs to my bill without asking.

Breakfast was delicious and servers were friendly. The front desk was very helpful in printing an application that I needed to send as well.

Called ahead of time and asked for a crib and they didn’t set it up for us to had to ask them to and one of the sides was broken and it had stains all over it, really disappointing. Then in the bathroom there was hairs on the floor so makes me unsure if it was cleaned at all. The bed was super comfortable and the singer in the bar was awesome but that’s about all the positives of the experience

This is a beautiful property located on a golf course. Very calm and a super nice gym. We loved it.

Charging $45 per day for parking at a Hotel you are already paying for seems crazy. Also, the added $30 per day you "have to" spend at the property or you get charged left a bad taste. The room and property was nice but not worth the cost once you add in all the other charges.

I mean the tile around the pool had oil and looked like sweat accumulations stains that looked dirty and once we saw that we just didn’t go back in

The hotel crew was sort of lackluster. I had to request for shower towels during the evening due to the fact there were no towels in our room. the check in was also underwhelming. i had to several questions only to have to repeat myself over the course of the weekend to have them follow up on them.

The property is beautiful! My room overlooked the golf course, I looked forward to waking up and standing on the patio and looking at the plush grass, ducks and beautiful green golf course. The cucumber and strawberry infused water was a welcome treat. I plan on staying at Westdrift the next time I am in LA.

Ordered dinner in from room service. Huge mistake! The cost was over $100 for two people. The food arrived in plastic storage containers like one might get to take home after a dinner in a restaurant. Plastic forks, knives, spoons, packets of ketchup, and cocktail napkins (no dinner-size napkins) were provided. As there were no plates, one was left to eat out of the storage container. The entire "dinner" arrived in a brown paper bag. The entire situation would have been laughable except for the price and the missed the opportunity to go out for dinner. How embarrassing for an otherwise reasonably nice hotel. If you stay there, place to go to a local restaurant for food.

I hadn't been to this hotel since the late 90s for a wedding. Place was amazing. Jute had the best breakfast.

Although we didn’t use the golf course, the views were exceptional. The hotel is situated near lots of good food and shopping areas. Also conveniently located near to the airport. A few negative points were the parking. The price difference between self parking and valet were not too much, although both expensive. The valet car park is very close to the hotel and walking to the car would be quicker than waiting for the valet, which made it seem pointless. Also the staff maybe very friendly but can be slow. We waited a while for the staff to bring our bags down and after sometime decided to bring these ourselves. The bathroom is decent, but the tub and shower could be much better. The bathrooms were clogged on our 2nd day and took a long time to drain. Overall a very clean and comfortable stay. I would definitely come back here in the future.

never leave reviews but I was so happy I picked this hotel had a flight out of LAX but didn’t want to book a boring airport hotel that feel industrial. This hotel felt like I wasn’t even in LA the view is nice the staff is amazinggg they really went above and beyond, and location was close so we could get to the Tia port easy and even had time to explore Manhattan beach!! Thanks for the memories can’t wait to be back to try the activities

Nice experience but did not like how a sports team was staying at the hotel during my stay and fans were running around the hotel freely. Didn’t feel safe with my daughters with so many people running around that weren’t even staying there. Other than that a nice hotel would stay again
