Tava Motel Manitou Springs

We stayed for three nights. It was a clean, quite room. Close to many shops and restaurants. We will stay again if we travel back to Manitou Springs in the future.

Clean, big rooms. Some stuff outdated, but it was adequate for our one night stay!

It was convenient to travel to Pikes Peak. I’d stay there again, but was disappointed that their breakfast did not include any protein.

Very well maintained, clean, felt very safe. Breakfast was good and good options.

At check-in, the front desk clerk asked I use a different card than the one I paid the room with, for incidentals, one that matched my DL, as I made the reservation. I attempted to explain, as has been the case in every instance before and after, that the incidentals are charged to the same card, which is physically presented, with my DL, as previously requested in all other hotels during our trip. No attitude, just questioning why his insistance on a different card? His immediate response went from a halfway welcome to an immediate "if you are gonna give me an attitude, you can go elsewhere". His exact words. Without a blink, a bit surprised, but with a smile, I held out my hand for him to return my card and ID and said I will do exactly that! We went down the road to Day's Inn and had a wonderful, drama free, experience, for 2 nights, using the same method and card as we attempted to do so there!

This was a great place for the price and location. It is a little outside of the downtown area of Monitou Springs, but still not bad. It was clean and overall a good stay.

Nice, quiet location with plenty of parking and down the road from the downtown but also easy access to I25.

Older hotel. Had everything we needed. Convenient to lots of stuff.

We got stuck in traffic on our way to the hotel, got there at 10:20pm and check-in office was closed.

That staff was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are old and in need of updates. When I initially turned on the our sink, the water was brown. It cleared out after several minutes of running it. The carpet is very old and not the cleanest. The shower had good pressure but metal came out when I turned the water on. This was not our first choice for a motel but a last minute booking on a holiday weekend. Stay elsewhere if you are looking for any type of luxury. It's pretty alright if you're looking for a budget motel.

The place was perfect for the solo traveler. Room was clean, good size, and comfortable. The parking as easy, location fine, and staff accomodating. Breakfast was standard and adequate. Pool /hot tub most needed.

The picture of the pool and hot tub that was on the website were not the one the facility had. The room smelled like alcohol so bad. People around inside and out were so loud. Heard people next to us banging on the wall having sex. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed 3 night here, and it was great it was close to everything, staff was very friendly. Will definitely be back

Wonderful staff, nice room, hot tub and pool very nice. Not a glamorous hotel but a very nice budget option.

Super clean room, quiet, staff was friendly and helpful. The price was perfect and included WiFi and a basic continental breakfast. Jack's Liquors is across the street. This motel is 0.5 mile from SunWater Spa, 1 mile from downtown and a 10 minute walk to Uncle Sam's Pancake house. You can't ask for a better weekend.

The hot tub was warm but the pool was a little cold. Clean room! Decent beds.

Great weekend stay! Staff was helpful and place was clean and close to downtown and Cog Rail. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

The room is very spacious and the staff was amazing. Pool and hot tub are a definite bonus. Property was clean as a whistle. Definitely coming back.

For the cost of the room, I was super impressed with the higher quality towels. The towels were not the tiny, thin, cheap towels most "lower" cost motels have. Their towels were thick & soft. Room was clean, bath was clean. Good TP, not 1-ply super thin!! Front desk persons were friendly. great location with shuttle right across the street or a nice walk into main part of town.

This hotel has a great location, just east of downtown Manitou Springs and minutes from the Garden of the Gods.

Again, this property needs to redo the flooring in the rooms, due to the age of the carpet the room smelled very musty and old.

Wonderful place to stay! Free shuttle into the heart of Manitou Springs, so we never had to move our car. Very nice staff, beautiful rooms, and good continental breakfast. Definitely recommend staying here.

Thought I was booking the Grand Magnuson, so was surprised when arrived. My mistake. Thought the hotel was OK. Older, but did have larger rooms.

It was clean and easy access to alot of attractions. Ample parking also.

The place is older but clean and comfortable. The rooms are large and have a larger than dorm size refrigerator and a seating area. Beds and linens are good as well as towels. Lighting is great. We enjoy the seating outside, and depending on where your room is, there is a great view of the incline and Pikes Peek. Always had a place to park and everyone that we ran into that worked there have been great!

Old but clean

Affordable and very friendly staff.

This hotel is nothing special, but in spite of the fact that there were no interior hallways nor elevator and doors opened to the outside, it felt safe and it was comfortable and clean, tho dated. There are a lot of tailgaters and I was concerned that it would be noisy, but it ended up being pretty quiet probably because the occupancy was low at the time. This is not a bad hotel but I would likely not stay there again sinceThe previous week I stayed at the Magnuson grand which I found to be far superior at about the same rate.

Poor lighting

Easy check-in. Rooms in very good condition and very clean. Even normal conversation in neighboring rooms is quite loud. Convenient parking. Uncomfortable bed.

I've stayed with my family for one night. The staff was very friendly, rooms clean, continental breakfast was good with a variety of different dishes.

Nothing to do with the hotel really but there was a local in the area that night who was on something more than just marijuana and he was wandering the hotel grounds. There is no one on staff after 10pm.

I needed a place to stay for a last minute trip to Manitou Springs over a busy holiday weekend. The Magnuson Hotel was simply perfect for this surprise vacation! My flight was very late but the staff made that perfectly easy with a lockbox for my room key. Lovely staff, great location!

Good facility for outdoor access room doors. Likely older hotel but has been updated and maintained well. Nice location close to historic Manitou Springs shopping district.

Very good location, near the Springs, Garden of the Gods, and other beautiful sites. Room was good enough but pillows very uncomfortable and they did not have any firmer. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast lacked anything with protein but coffee was good.

Hotel very close to downtown area

Clean in a good location, nice pool but the breakfast lacked protein and only had items with sugar except for plain bagels and cream cheese. They also had fruit. We ended up eating out the second morning.

We had a good stay in Manitou Springs, primarily because it is so close to Garden of the Gods, Old Colorado City, and the Red Rocks Open Space (all of which were terrific). The two Magnuson hotels are better than most in Manitou, but could use a face lift and a hot breakfast.

People were smoking and weeding just outside the rooms. But clean hotel overall

It's close to attraction areas but linens/ towels are not washed well.

The bed wa okay, had holes sunken into the mattress. We were just passin through. And were comfortable enough.

This is a nice property convenient to historic Manitou Springs.

I liked the clean facilities. of particular note, the pool and hot tub area was very nice, there was plenty of light in the room, the air conditioner worked well and it's thermostat was accurate. I would have liked a microwave.

It was a motel not a hotel with bad smelling rooms. Carpets were stained. You could hear the neighbors at night.

Hotel was fine except for the child in the upstairs room jumping, and jumping, and jumping on the bed and all over the room until around midnight. My wife and I got very little sleep.

Only complaint or what one needs to know is that the walls are thin.

Very clean and offered breakfast. Just seriously outdated. More of a motel than hotel, with doors to outdoor rather than hallway making it feel less safe. Not quite close enough to be walkable to downtown, but could do in a pinch if you aren’t tight on time. The room was spacious, just needs updating.

Expedia rated this hotel 3 stars. This is so rundown and old. The correct rating would be 1 maybe. This is first time using Expedia. Never again

Nothing special for this price. The price is base on two occupants, so expect additional fees if you have 4 people. We stayed there one night, 2 rooms. The offered breakfast... I will not call a breakfast. The staff was quite nice and patiently answering my questions.

The room was good enough to sleep and wash comfortably. Dated but decent enough. After 3 weeks of traveling and staying in different hotels, i think this hotel was well over priced compared to the others. The breakfast was the bare minimum. I wouldnt necessarily recommend staying here, but if you need a shower and comfortable bed it suits that purpose and is close to all the local attractions

The room was clean, and they cleaned it each day. Nice to have breakfast available, it was nothing special, but adequate.

It was good except for check in when they tried changing me a 100 dollars more then what is was suppose to be!

The rooms are clean but if you're a light sleeper bring some earplugs as noise travels through the walls.

Beds were not comfortable, carpet was dirty! Not many options available in the breakfast that’s included!

Cute little motel and very clean. The breakfast wasn’t the best continental breakfast but it was something. Staff were nice and helpful. No elevator-or at least not that I saw. And the ice machine didn’t really work so great

It was nice and quiet

I somehow mistakenly reserved two rooms instead of one. The staff was very nice and the Expedia person I believe his name was Tom helping me out and help cancel my other reservation.

We were sound asleep and the battery in the smoke detector was low and it started going off took about 30 minutes before the guy could get up and replace the battery

This property is dated and could use an update. That said it was very clean and well maintained. The staff we encountered at check-in and the following morning at breakfast were extremely nice, pleasant, and helpful. The location was convenient to Manitau Springs and I would probably stay again.

We got locked out of our room and no one was available to let us back we had to wait for their “office” to open

The hotel room was clean and they cleaned it daily. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed our stay even left a tip in the room.

Front desk only had one person so at check in I was left waiting for 15 minutes while the young employee had to answer question after question from someone on the phone looking to book 4 rooms but obviously had not bothered to look online first before calling the hotel. However, in all fairness, having a second person available with only one computer would not have helped my situation. A second computer would have also been needed. I did not use the pool or partake of the breakfast. so I can’t review those items.

Nice budget friendly for the area. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was basic. Would have liked better room darkening from the curtains. Security lights outside the rooms cast lots of light around the curtains.
