Room smelled. Stain on center of comforter like ashtray spilled. Stained furniture would not sit and or set anything on. Cigarette burn holes in sheets. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was what was expected.

I definitely will stay again.

The dirtiest shower/bathroom I’ve ever had at a hotel. Mold on the ceiling above the shower. Dirt/crud all along where the tub met the floor, top of the shower, and shower head. Pull out couch mattress was super thin and was told there were no blankets when I asked for one for that.

Our room hag little piss ants everywhere. The room had a funny smell to it also.

I DO NOT recommend anybody staying at this hotel! My family and I checked in to this hotel and before we could even unpack to change I found dead roaches in the phone by the bed and around the room. When I went told the front desk lady she said there was nothing she could do and I asked for a refund and again said there was nothing she could do till her manger comes in. Well manger comes in the next day and denies my request for a refund. Yes I have pictures and showed them.

Immediately felt comfortable with the staff. It was my first time visiting Texas & Tabitha was the sweetest & so helpful with letting me know the traffic hours & places nearby. The other front desk helpers were so friendly as well, I wish I remembered their names. Will definitely come back when I visit again! Also, never had any problems with this hotel the whole 5 days staying here. :)

On the bright side, the front desk, staff are very sweet, very helpful, definitely the best part of the stay. They are the one thing that the hotel got right. The bedding and the towels are clean. But not much else. Breakfast was scary with a long hair in the waffles and Gray sausage..

Went down for breakfast at 9:15am, waited until 9:25am and went to front desk to advised all breakfast items were empty and we had not seen an employee in the area.

My husband was staying close to work during winter storm. Breakfast would be great for someone working 5:30 am to 6 pm. Other than that- no complaints

Clean and comfortable- but my stay was to be near work during winter storm and I had to leave around 5 am each morning - it would be nice to offer some breakfast options to go earlier.

Room was dirty. Stains on floor and couch. We checked in, put our bags in the room and left for dinner. Upon coming back to the hotel and starting to settle in for the evening in became very apparent the room was filthy. At this time, we packed our bags and checked out. Found another Hotel to stay at. I would not recommend the Comfort Suites McKinney to anyone.....

Elevator a little scary, bathtub was really moldy and dirty, would only give 4 towels for 5 guniceests, breakfast was ok. Staff was sometimes nice. Wouldn't provide extra pillows or blankets. For a rather inexpensive hotel, they acted like it was a 5 star.

We have stayed at the Comfort Inn for years while visiting family. Was a little leery after reading some reviews this time but found it just the same. Basic, comfortable and incredibly convenient. Bed was good and bedding and bath were clean. The room is large with some simple furniture and accessories. The location is why we stay. Walk or very short drive to many restaurants. Used to be a walkable grocery store but closed -a Walgreen's close by. Right off the freeway with quiet back street area to drive or walk to things. Staff is nice.

The room was a bit worn and the bathroom needed an update or deep cleaning. The beds although both were large king sized, they were too hard for our backs. Maybe it was because of the special needs accommodations, but the room felt cold and not very homey.

The cleaning in the rooms was terrible. My wife scribed the dirty out the tube. Staff witnessed all the soap scum of the tube were ridiculous, the curtain has blood and stains on them the rooms was not clean at all.

Well, the room was nice enough, except that the bathtub was stained bad enough to possibly be off-putting to some, also, you might want to have your own pillow on hand... however, the staff was very pleasant, helpful and courteous, especially Miss Cheryl in the breakfast nook. THAT lady is like a ray of sunshine...!!!

The room was clean, the breakfast was good, all in all it was a good stay. The shower curtain had a tear nearest the shower head. That was the only thing keeping this from being a perfect stay. The folks working the desk were also great!

Did not enjoy my stay here

We didn't eat breakfast. We could hardly sleep in the room because it smelled old and musty, and like stale cigarette smoke even though it was non-smoking. Our daughter has asthma and she had a horrible night. Cable box was missing from the room so we couldn't watch TV. The lady at front desk during the evening was HORRIBLY rude. We only stayed at this hotel because of a family reunion close by and others were there.

Horrible experience, the room was nasty. There was mold on the wall in the bathroom, stains on walls/curtains/ and the furniture. The couch had crumbs and residue on it. Went to the front desk to get my money back but they gave me another room for the night. The 2nd room was not much better but at least it was no mold. Canceled the 2nd night and will neve come back.

Staff was average but the hotel itself was gross as my pictures will show. Also smelled horrible and was really hot. They even came in while we were away during the day, even though they have signs saying they won’t unless you ask, and turned our a/c back up to 78 degrees. I had to get key cards reprogrammed twice because they both stopped working. The TV did not work and the internet was free but slow enough it was hard to watch a show without buffering. Breakfast was almost non existent.

Put a towel in tub to stand on to use the shower. Was too tired to go to another hotel. Very disappointed in the quality of this hotel.

The service desk guy wasn’t informative about the stay.i had to ask questions & receipt. My 1st night TV wasn’t workin and next day had to address again and offered another room which tv wasn’t workin in there also. The room was dirty tub carpet walls etc. breakfast office wasn’t good. I want compensation for the stay but they keep sayin the manager wasn’t available. Would never recommend or stay here again.

The property was clean and the staff was nice. We had 2 rooms. Both had broken bathroom doors that wouldn’t close properly. The rooms never got cool enough.

The pool was filthy dirty that we refused to swim in it. Many homeless people walking all around. Didn't feel safe.The breakfast was not good. The servers there did not keep the food stocked for all the people in there. They had me prepay for my stay the rate that was quoted online. When I checked out there was an extra charge $150.00 on my credit card that I didn't approve of. When asked about it I was told I had to speak to the manager when he came in later. I had to leave for the airport and my issue was not resolved.

Strong cleaning agent in the room which made my wife nauseous. The tub shower wouldn’t drain the second night and remained clogged in the morning. Infrastructure was old, including an elevator button that was cracked.

Property was in very good condition and looked well maintained.

There were construction issues in the room, the door was not level and you can see inside from outside the door, the drywall was messed up as if someone swung the door open too hard, the bathroom tub was dirty and the drain knob was broken. The blanket had a tear in it.

Booked to rooms and both beds had blood stains on mattresses and covers. We arrived and they gave us a room that was dirty and not cleaned. Had problems with our key cards the first day we arrived. The rest of the days cant complain

The rooms were dirty. The bathtub/ shower was moldy. Water damage on 3rd floor ceiling and 3rd floor smelled very bad.The staff was helpful and let us switch rooms but the new room wasn't much better other than the bed was clean. The bed was comfortable to sleep in but because the rooms were dirty and the 3rd floor smelled so bad, we checked out early after one night stay.

When I called to follow up, the situation only worsened—I was rudely hung up on. Frustrated, I went to the front desk to try to resolve the issue in person, but to my shock, the staff (Jeanette) member there yelled at me in front of other guests. It was an incredibly humiliating and unprofessional encounter. The combination of unclean accommodations, lack of accountability, and disrespectful treatment by the staff made this one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I would strongly advise anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere. This level of service and cleanliness is completely unacceptable.

The fridge in our room was not clean & the floors in the hallways were not vacuumed well. There was trash in the elevator and the trash can in our room had stuff in it when we checked in not to mention there was stuff behind it on the floor besides the fridge. The pictures were all crooked and the bathroom tub area and chalking around it needed a good scrub as it looked like mold was starting to grow. The floors in our room could have definitely used a good sweep as well.

Found roaches in my room, so I switched rooms & there was roaches in that 1 too. And I can’t even get in touch with anyone about a refund!

We didn’t want to be those customers and we were in our way out to meet friends. So we just stopped by the front desk and informed the manager of the condition and asked him to make sure housekeeping cleaned the bathroom. Saturday morning we left early and returned in the late evening. The bathroom still had not been cleaned. We were exhausted so we just went to sleep. As I was checking out and again complained to the same manager, his response was only that he had left a note for housekeeping. Well. Here’s my note. Never again sir will I give you my hard earned money.

We found a live roach upon entering our room. After killing that roach, we found roach bait on the wall by the exit door in the room. We found dead bugs on the floors, frame around the bed was filthy, sheets and covers were stained, ripped, etc.. we wanted to check out and find another hotel but every room was booked in McKinney due to the OU/TEXAS football game.

Check in was easy and very nice. However, the room was in obvious need of repair and a deep clean. There appeared to be blood on the wall. The tub was filthy. We stayed for a quick trip and only needed a place to sleep. I guess we shouldn't be surprised about the condition because of the low price.

The Not So Good Part - The bathroom ceiling had mold spots on it, the bathroom door was difficult to close, key cards kept stop working, could not get extra covers for the sofa bed nor could we get extra face towels. Just looked at my Credit Card to find out I was charged and additional charge on top of the regular room charge and the early check-in fee that was assessed. I'm about to call the hotel about this. Hotel only accepts Credit Cards.

The stay was good. There were some bugs in the room.

I didn't like the stains on one of the sheets and comforters, the loose metal stopper assembly for the bathtub and the loose toilet seat.

Everything else was awful. The doorframe lock was carved out, and I’m still wondering how it locked. There was a large hole in the ceiling above the window. The bathroom was super dark probably to hide the mildew in the bathtub. The ceilings were stained with mildew. The grout was disgusting. The carpet was disgusting. There was trash in the stairwell for 2 days. The breakfast was pathetic and didn’t offer much. Parking in the back was dark and the street sweepers put cones in the front, blocking off the spots. Management couldn’t care less about the complaints. Desperate need of renovation. Pool is deceptively small, so don’t pay attention to the pictures. You’ll be extremely disappointed. First non smoking room smelled of smoke, so they put us in a dog non smoking room. Will never ever ever stay there again. It’s a dump.

The hotel is conveniently located around many business. Walmart, Sam’s, Kroger, Winco all within 2 miles. Many food places too. The lobby smelled fresh and clean, the carpet looked worn but tidy. The elevator was repainted and clean, but older. Same worn carpet going to the room. The room was well kept and little extra room in the double bed with pull out sofa. Bed was comfortable. A/C was cold. No noise in the hallway. Breakfast was great! Lots of options. Overall a good spot for an overnight stay.

I had requested a room with a walk-in shower as my husband and I both have balance disabilities along with a lot of other things, but climbing into a bathtub is very difficult for us Did not like that there was not walk in shower available. And then, when we finally did get to our room with the bathtub, no shower, the light overhead was not working, and we were told that maintenance had left for the day and there was nothing they could do about it. And upon examining the tub the area around the drain was so rusted dirty, and corroded that I didn’t think I would want to take a bath in there anyway. The next thing is the fact that we could not get the USB plug-ins worked for charging phones tablets on our watches. And then we couldn’t figure out how to get the television set working. On this, we called for help at the front desk and she tried to get it going and eventually between she and mostly my husband they managed to figure out what was wrong. This should not be an issue. Finally, the idea of a complementary Breakfast was not good when we got to the breakfast area around 8 o’clock in the morning there was really nothing left.We sat there for about 10 minutes, looking for someone and hoping that they would replenish supplies,but they never did. Terrible Experience

This was a nice one night stay. We got in late and the lady at the desk was so courteous and helpful. It was right off the freeway, clean and quiet.

The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. The cable TV was nice. The middle curtains were see through so they let too much light in. The water pressure for the shower could have been higher and didn’t drain good.

This hotel is close to my sister's house. She is the reason that I went to McKinney.

Equipment and maintenance were sub par. TV was not hooked up necessary equipment, although staff member tried to assist, they were unable because they were the only staff member available for front desk as well. Also, phone was not hooked up in room to call front desk. We moved to a different room. Still saw evidence of DIY maintenance throughout the hotel.

Light in bathroom was terrible---more like a nightlight. Very dim. Made it difficult to put on makeup. Seriously thought at first that we were just missing a switch somewhere to turn on the real light.

The entire building is run down and dirty. The place stinks and everything feels sticky. The tubs are stained brown due to lack of upkeep. The pillows were also stained or just dirty. Also overheard one of the people at the front desk tell a customer the nightly rate is always $59 however on experion it was $130 a night.

My stay was unreal. My bridesmaids and I booked this hotel the night before my wedding so we could be closer to the venue. When we checked in, the front desk was so nice and personable that we ended telling them that it was the night before my wedding and her manager was nice enough to upgrade us to a bigger suite for the special occasion! It made our stay that much more special!! Thank you again to the very kind staff members :)

Elevators are broke which was kinda an issue when in town for baseball tournament with longs of equipment , our floor had a very overwhelming scent of pot but seemed to be temporary, beds and room were good, BUT word of warning if planning on using pull put bed, its not really a bed its a black mat that is not comfortable at all, they dont provide sheets for.

Attendants on duty were polite and informative. The lady in the breakfast area did a fantastic job helping the customers as necessary and the food was tasty. It made my stay great. I'd definitely recommend that location.

The hotel was clean enough, the bed was hard and the bathroom needed a little repair. The showerhead did not work correctly so was hard to get a good shower. Plenty of hot water tho. The window did not seal properly and the wind made it whistle all night. Tried to open it just a crack but the outside noise was so loud that couldn’t do that. The TV remote was hard to figure out and there were no instructions for it or the channel guide. Found it the on button, and many others on the remote did nothing, the off button turned the tv on.

Check in was quick and the room and accommodations (breakfast and front desk) were nice. It was quiet and our family got a lot of much needed rest after our activities. We were in town for a football tournament. Check our was smooth as well.

The manager said the building was getting remolded told me they have new furniture. But the tubs was filthy she moved me to another room tub still dirty. I think they need to replace tubs and toilets! So disgusting

That evening we checked in. There was a bit of a language barrier between me and the guy that checked us in but ultimately he gave us a key & we were good to go. We get all they way up to our room and there is not whirlpool. In fact, the room looked completely different. I checked my booking & made sure I ordered what I thought I did. Then we went back downstairs to show them our reservation & let them know of the mistake. By that time a lady was working the counter. She first told us that they couldn't give us the room we booked because it was under renovations.Then she said it was an "accessible" only so we couldn't have it. Then just flat said it ws not available. In asking her why we weren't told that at book in she basically told us to either take it or we could leave. When I asked her if we could get a refund since the room we booked was unable she said nope. Because we had booked it under non-refundable. I asked why they would allow an unavailable room to be booked and she said its because Expedia cant see that its not available. Ultimately it felt like a bait & switch scam. Added bonus, the bathtub was filthy. Pics on my Googl

Very nice staff at a place I stay often. Yudith at the front desk is extremely knowledgable, helpful and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfy. Cheryl, the friendly breakfast attendant, does a great job and is nice to chat with.

TV only had one channel so they moved us to another room immediately. Everything in mew room was good. Front office was very helpful

The breakfast needs help, maybe some fruit added. We love the walkability of the area and the Kroger's and restaurants nearby. However homeless people are sometimes in the surrounding area which the hotel has nothing to do with. Overall, the Comfort Inns is like an old shoe-comfortable and well worn. Hopefully the renovation will make it a little more up with the times and provide a more upscale environment.

The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. What I didn’t like was the smoke alarm chirping loudly every 10 seconds starting around midnight. I have called atleast 5 times asking for the manager and leaving messages for a call back. After 3 weeks with no response, I had no choice but to leave a review.
