the breakfast was very good. My room has a clogged sink and the maintenance staff never came to unclog it. The main door was not accessible with the key card. The front desk stated that they have been waiting for a part for over a year. With all of that being said my husband and I was there for a wedding and we were pleased with the location to everything.

This is my first time staying at a Hampton hotel. The hotel is close enough to walk to eat at one of the restaurants. The elevator when I first arrived at my floor it made a Weird noise and didn't open right away so I thought I was going to be stuck.

Exceptional

This was a nice hotel with very friendly staff. The hotel was very clean. The breakfast bar was above average having all types of options for all types of diets. There was a variety of fresh fruit. The staff really takes pride in great customer service.

Staff member, Tatiana was great. She greeted us with a smile and glad to have us. We had to check out a day early due to a death and we had no issues with checking out early. The shower could use a little more power. Other than that everything was great!

Only bad thing about the room is it was a handicap room so the closet rod was to low and the shower floor was really slick we did not request a handicap room

So they moved me to another room the next morning, because the night shift didn't document anything.My first room was still wet and very stcky.The second room had no microwave either but everything was dry (carpet and the chair.) I was told my room style didn't come with a microwave even though it was in the description I had, when I made the reservation.

All was great except breakfast was not ready as they said at 600. At 900 not fully ready. No waffles no oatmeal. Had to wait because I don’t like eggs and sausage and all the other available food.

I enjoyed the variety that was offered at the hot breakfast. Our bedding and towels seemed clean. The pool facilities were very outdated and dirty, so we didn’t feel comfortable using the pool after the first night. We found giant clumps of hair floating throughout the pool and the pool railings into the hot tub were unsafe and about to dislodge from the ground. Staff was overall extremeley bored everytime we interacted with them. Very little costumer care, but they weren’t directly rude. Also did not like the carpet in the hotel room as it felt very grimy and old, almost sticky. We did find many grease/grime spots on surfaces in our hotel room - thankfully we had brought disinfectant wipes.

I the only answer I didn't give a the top level was value. We understand others may not have proper behavior of pets, dogs, but ours, you wouldn't even know they stayed in the room. We felt the pet fee for "2" was very high and added a lot of extra cost. Unfortunately is is probably due to others that have had a dog that did not behave, noise or damage to a room and that cost has been passed on to others like us. VERY clean room, friendly staff that check on us that everything was to our needs and standards that evening. It was quiet and comfortable. Linens were obviously clean and bed made professionally. The breakfast was really appreciated, not just milk, juice and peel open cereal. It was a nice choice of hot breakfast items and make your own waffles!!

Housekeeping woke us up at 8 AM talking in the hallway yet our room was never cleaned.

The room was good. Beds were very comfy. . The outlet in the bathroom didnt work so we had to dry our hair elsewhere but there were plenty of oulets. We went to the pool and it was ice cold (indoor pool) and the whirlpool was lukewarm. Breakfast had a good variety of things. Overalll devent and i would atay here again.

Room was clean. Coffee maker didn’t work. They did replace it for the next morning. A giant moved in above me and paced all night and I had a terrible night sleep. I’d stay on top floor next time.

Nice room, awesome breakfast

Breakfast was very good. I believe they added the biscuits and gravy since my last stay and the biscuits were extremely good. Though I prefer sausage gravy, the black pepper gravy was good and had breakfast sausage on the side. Also, the night staff was very helpful. Midway though my stay I got some very noisy neighbors above me (very heavy footed) till at least 2AM. The night desk manager switched my room without batting an eye. I really appreciated that as I was getting up early to see grand kids over the Christmas holidays that week.

When returning to the front desk to inform staff of our exodus, he informed us the water was to be shut off at noontime the following morning for an unknown length of time. Exodus should not be providing a anything above a 1 * rating. I will be seeking a full refund through Expedia.

Room was very clean. Needs a long mirror to check on your outfit . Well we were with a wedding party and that would have been nice. Gentleman at front desk extremely pleasant, a white guy and can't remember his name.

Comfortable bed. Sink faucet design was a real problem. Arched faucet shape and placement were annoying along with the control knob use.

I was charged again at check in for $126 and upon informing the receptionist, she cancelled the charge. Room is okay-can use an update, shower water splashes all over, and breakfast not appetizing. I don’t think worth $155 unfortunately.

parking in the back is not well lighted.

But when I got there and went to get the ice bucket out to go get ice, it had a quarter of an inch of dirty water in it with a couple of dead bugs and old food in the bottom of it. The couch was very dirty. The TV would not stay on, it would just go black and I’d have sound only and no picture. The bed was so high for a handicap room that I had to jump up on it to get in it and ended up pulling my back. It was so noisy, I basically didn’t sleep for the two nights i was there. I just wasn’t impressed overall like a Hampton Inn usually impresses me. However, the breakfast was more than adequate and tasted pretty good. The young man, Tuesday morning at checkout, was also very nice and kind.

No sweetener in B’fast area, no hand rail in shower and the joint barn door style falls short on function. 😊

We’ve chosen this facility to be our lodging of choice when visiting our son and his family. We visit every couple months and stay anywhere from 5 to 14 days or more, and the service and amenities are always perfect. Room is always clean. Service includes s always exemplary! We will continue to stay here when we’re in town.

Quiet and comfortable. Even had fantastic shower and bath products. Gym was nice, breakfast was good, and slept great! I would definitely stay here again.

Would love to see easier access to water that we can drink. It's Texas in the summer. The front desk worker was great about giving us water bottles when we asked, but our family was there for sports and felt like easier access for more water would have been great. Overall though, fantastic staff, rooms, and overall stay.

Very good hotel.

Shower was broken and the staff couldn’t get us a different room. Was told manager would call me about resolution and he skipped out deciding instead not to come in until my stay was over. Multiple lies told by staff regarding possibilities for resolution as well.

The area was nice with plenty of options to choose from as far as food or even to grab snacks. Ie. 7/11 and the local gas station. There's a planet fitness close by. The hotel was nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. I had an issue with the toilet paper holder falling off the wall and I did not want to be charged and it was immediately fixed and no charge was placed on my credit card.

The vanity sink had no pressure and didn’t drain. One of the lamps didn’t work, the sofa in our suite was torn and stuffing coming out, and we were almost out of toilet paper. While these problems are minor, the attitude of the staff was very dismissive. We asked for extra pillows every single day of our 3-day stay, and were told every time we asked that there were no extra pillows available. The coup de grace was on our last morning when two hotel employees knocked on our door and told us nobody was registered in our room, and asked us to explain our presence, as if we were squatters. We were completely shocked. We had checked in 3 days prior, had paid the full amount for our entire stay, had been given keys to the room and a parking pass, had been texted regularly by staff (even though they were just cursory) and had been there for 3 nights at that point. When we went to the front desk to talk to the manager, he said nobody had been assigned to the room. It was obviously a clerical error on their part, but no apologies were forthcoming. Hampton Inns have always been our first choice for hotels, and we’d like to think this is just poor management exclusive to this one McKinney location, but next time we’ll choose Marriott

Very old building, and the wear and tear is everywhere. Looks like original carpet in the hallways and in desperate need of paint all over. also, a lot of rust in the shower. staff was very friendly though. I slipped on spilled water in the lobby and they continuously checked on me

The staff was welcoming and accommodating. I appreciated the communication about every other day cleaning and appreciate the conservation.

Went to see great granddaughter who was recently born. The hotel has easy entrance lots of parking, close to food and shopping. Was super easy on check in. Our room was spotless. The indoor pool was well maintained and the area clean. Breakfast was also done nicely and the staff courteous for anyone’s special needs. Well maintained hotel that we would stay at again.

The hotel seems very nice and clean when I arrived. There were no major issues, however, my room only got cleaned every other day, they were out of coffee packets for the rooms, and out of travel lids for the downstairs coffee, and my room felt very humid all week.

It's my second stay. They replaced the old Internet, so the Internet works fine now. They still don't have microwaves in the rooms. But other than that, I like it. And the staff is super friendly.

Expedia ripped me off and this was not portrayed right. The staff refunded me, but Expedia ripped me off.

I was on a business trip with dogs. I and my dogs received a warm welcome. I called ahead to make sure they had wifi and a business center with a printer. But the wifi was poor and I had to use my phone as hot spot. The business center was closed for construction or repairs. My room had a mini fridge but no microwave. Apparently some rooms have them- so you have to read the room description. The room otherwise was fine. I had a nice big bathroom. They do not stay stocked with regular coffee for the rooms - just decafe so they need to stock up. The facilities are nice enough. There is some unfenced green space for dogs. There are lots of food places near and it is near a strip mall that has seen better days. I would avoid the Taco Regio. I asked for enchiladas and got a salad. There is a sit down Mexican restaurant I didn't try. Walmart is within a couple miles. It is within 2 miles of the Collin County Courthouse. There is a pool that I did not check out. I was charged $45 a piece per dog. Breakfast was available- but I just tried the coffee. The front desk did print a couple items for me. They are pleasant.

Super Clean, The hotel is properly getting ready for a refresh, but still very clean and suitable. Comfortable, great breakfast! Easy, nice big room with a King and pull out. Perfect for our stay, we would definitley stay again.

The hotel was nice but starting to show its age. Friendly staff. I would have preferred regular eggs at breakfast instead of the bagle topper or whatever that thing was called. Seemed to be some bread with maybe some cheese and no evidence of egg.

Restaurants walk two

The sink in bathroom was dirty. Carpet left black on bottom of feet when walked from there to bathroom. Building is looking run down. Breakfast was disappointing, no oatmeal? This is the 2nd disappointing stay at this location and probably the last.

We had a room with a couch that made into a bed and the mattress was badly soiled. The front desk person quickly changed our room for us but that couch/bed had evidence that it had been soiled before as well and cleaned up. These mattresses need to be replaced.

The hotel was older and could use some upgrades, but the room was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly. I would stay there again.

Great stay

Stayed here overnight while in the area for a medical appointment. Room was comfy and had all we needed. Especially loved the big mirrors and large bathroom, though the faucet could have had more water pressure. Not a deal breaker by any means. Was clean and added bonus was close proximity to eating establishments! Blue Goose next door was great!

The property was fairly clean and the staff was nice. My only complaint is that the shower was cold. The water would begin to warm up but then get cold again. It never got hot.

2 things need to be addressed: Ice machine on the first floor was broken The bathroom in my suite had very low pressure and the sink had no hot water.

The night check in clerk tried making me pay double for a room that was already paid for and she didn’t give me my key until I showed the receipt on my phone then it magically worked

Staff was the best I’ve ever experienced. However, I didn’t like my room. For the money I paid, I could’ve gotten a way better room somewhere else. Old, uncomfortable bed, noisy from guests on top etc. it felt like a super old hotel.

Very nice place to stay

Have stayed here several times of past 2 years, and the property seems like it is not being maintained well. Pool was very cloudy and had some type of brown mold growing around edges. Carpets were really worn looking, as was the room furniture. Employee's I engaged with did not seem to enthusiastic to be there. Probably wont stay here in future.

The property was fine, unfortunately the deal clerk had walked off her job just prior to my groups arrival, so there was a bit of a delay to get us situated. The manager was very apologetic, and another clerk who happened to be nearby came and helped on her day off. Would stay there again

Room was a little run down. Broken outlets by the bed made it hard to charge my phone. Clock was wrong from not being updated from Daylights saving time months ago. Things like this makes me question the attention to detail of everything in the hotel. Also door to bathroom was very hard to close.

The inside of the window had bird mess on it. The refrigerator didn’t work melt all my son ice cream. Some on the outlet plugs didn’t work. The sheets wasn’t clean.

Visiting family on Christmas Eve. Had a very nice stay here. Pet friendly, staff friendly. Clean, comfortable beds, all around nice! Tommy was very nice and the late night lady whose nameI missed. Kudos to the cleaning staff. Didn't get to enjoy the breakfast though as we had to leave early! But looked good!

What I liked about the property was the very friendly staff and the convenience to our event. The property was average. The elevators were having issues first day. Breakfast was ok first day but awful our second day.

However, @ 10:15 pm, what appeared to be a loud argument occurred in room next to ours. Lots of yelling and what sounded like things being thrown against our adjoining wall. I heard loud bang/pop (possibly from a small 25 or 32 caliber pistol)! I called the front desk at this time and reported my audible findings. Shortly thereafter, the argument quieted down. At about 10:45 pm, the yelling and screaming of two or more persons (possibly female) escalated again! I called the front desk to report this. The person I spoke with said the manager had called the room after my first call to the desk, and a person told the manager the “she dropped something”. At that point, the desk person said they would call the manager again. Approximately, 25-30 minutes later the noise stopped.

I was booked in the wrong hotel that was far away from where I wanted to be. I had to get another hotel and I did not get a refund. Terrible experience.

There was rap music blaring till 8:15pm

This hotel was convenient for where we were commuting to our relatives. The room only had one shower door, and the flooring was buckling up because the shower water can come out of the stall. the toilet paper hanger was right next to you while on the toilet and coming loose from wall. The wallpaper on opposite of missing door was coming off wall. The bathroom was the main miss for me.

The water in the bathroom barely ran. The a/c wouldn’t blow cool air unless the thermostat was set to 62° so we froze rather than be hot. There was loud people in the hall which is to be expected, but the walls are so thin that we heard everything. We went to the pool with our son and there was wayyyyyyy too much chlorine!! I didn’t get in the water and I had to flush my eyes when we got back to the room because they were burning so bad! My son’s eyes were so red!!! General maintenance on this property would help a lot!!

Convenient to the highway, clean and spacious room.

Carpets were stained, even in the hallway, beds were hard and uncomfortable. The heater was on in the hallway even though it was almost 100 degrees outside. The place had an overall old and dirty feel to it.

I didn’t like that we had nowhere in the room to put our belongings. There weren’t any drawers for the four of us except 3 bins, one of which was broken, so only had 2 small pullout baskets for all our clothes. Not good for a family of four with 4 suitcases staying 5 days.

The staff was not very friendly. I selected to pay there but when i arrived they told me I was already billed and she didn’t know how to undo the billing. The free breakfast was not very good. This location was well below the standards I was use to with this hotel brand. I will never step foot back in this location again.
