clean room, good air conditioner, nice HOT WATER for morning shower!

Close to shopping and work Roaches and several shady people hanging around the area

That i had an extra bed, cause the first was dirty. Just about everything. I booked a single king. My room was booked out from under me. I was put in a double bed room. There was no ice machine or microwave unless you went back to the lobby on the first floor. You can have NO visitors. The room smelt like cigarettes. The bed had yellow stains in it with hair. The shower was disgusting. The security lock looked like someone had kicked it in. When you locked it you could still open the door with the lock in place. Guy at the front desk said that he could show me another room the next day if I wanted to stay ANOTHER night, but it wouldn't be ready till 12pm so I could just stay in the SHITTY room i was in. I left at like 10am after not sleeping well with the hispanic guy next door to me watching porn LOUD till late. Guy at the front desk also said that if I need anything to call him. The phone in the room was for looks ONLY. There was no cord to it ANYWHERE in the room. When I took a picture and went to discuss it, the guy said that it must have come unplugged and fell behind the stand. There was NO CORD.

Basic rooms with semi comfortable bed. Walls must be a little thin because we could hear people talking well into the night (1-2 am). Convenient location to restaurants and old town McKinney.

Handy capped parking was close to entrance and room Water from shower went over the curtain and flooded the floor so we had to use all the towels to soak up water to prevent a fall. Notified the guy with the towels when I asked for more . Did not see roaches till later on that night. Bathroom had 2 roaches.

The smell of the 3rd floor was horrendous. The hallway leading to my room had unfinished walls, undiscarded waste, and broken down hvac equipment. My actual room was nasty. Between the sheets were food stains, crumbs, and hair! Shower had a constant drip. Floor was another level of disgust.

The staff was friendly and prompt. The room was clean and inviting, although the bathroom door was missing the lock mechanism. We checked out early (130am) as there was incredible noise coming from the room above us--which I believe was a utility room. We finally gave up sleeping, checked out and drove home early.

The room wasn't spotless, but it was not bad. The employees were helpful.

Didn't look anything like the pictures. Our room was partially remodled with some new nice things and some rusty, broken, gross stuff. The hallway was full of broken metal things and the smell was not good. Walls are paper thin. Thr price fit the experience.

No breakfast, low pressure shower, and no visitor rule.

AC never cooled and bath soap bars were hand soap bars.

Mgr said "I told you to move your stuff"!, I said you never said right then and there and and it wasnt clean yet!....He said I told you, very rudely....So I asked what was I suppose to do, im not missing work, because you put me in a room that was being worked on, and knew Monday Id hav e too be out and didnt set one aside? He then goes I dont have time for this, you dont like it, dont comeback, matter of fact I m putting you on the DNR List,, in the morning I want you gone,., this was Sunday and I had 2 days

Said was pet friendly but they wanted you to cage your dogs. We didn’t stay because of that.

It had cockroaches inside the room. Small ones. The door had a hole, so people could see it to the inside the outside environment felt unsafe.

There was urine on the wall. Asked for another room the man said there was none available. They cleaned it but by this time I was disgusted. Then a roach passes me in the hall. So I decided to check out and move to another hotel. If you do not care about the issues I mentioned and just want the cheapest in a decent location then this might work. Otherwise I don't recommend.

Easy parking

I realize that motel 6 is just an inexpensive place to sleep, but this place is just sad. No lobby. No restrooms. No convenience for the customer at all. Mckinney is not a bad place, but this hotel is. Dirty halls. Dirty floors. The room looked really abused and the door had been kicked in at some point and barely would close.

Was not allowed to check in by check in time because the room was not ready.

I thought it was very accommodating for folks who need handicap rooms and accommodating for pets

I had to shave with cold water when I call the front desk and told them I had no hot water they said they would reset it and I would have hot water in 5 minutes. I took a shower in cool water. Also I am on the first floor and the window does not close completely and cannot be locked. Pay more and stay somewhere nice and clean.

It was ok until i had cockroaches on bed. Staff member when informed he refunded or canceled my reservation. I will like to know if it is true that expedia be the one to do it. Please instruct me on that.

I always check for cleanliness when I arrive at a motel room. I immediately found a used bloody syringe in the bed, I went to the front desk and left immediately.

To start the front desk guy hardly said 10 words to me. The bed was definitely old. Half was nothing but springs while the other half was hard and lumpy. The a/c grate was moldy and rusted. The bathroom smelt bad, i had to plug the tub drain to make the smell stop. I will not stay again. The price was low, but now i see why.

I was a late check-in the room that they put it to was not ready. The room that they gave me I didn’t think much of it when I checked into it until I started to get stuffy and was kinda having a hard time breathing. When that happens, one of my allergies flares up, which I’m allergic to mold. I look around the room the very top of the ceiling I see mold not a little bit mold, but a lot of mold I went and told the person at the desk that there is mold of course he didn’t believe me so I had to walk him to the room and show him And I told him I’m allergic to mold. I end up switching rooms on the way to exchange Key cards I happen to see roaches crawling on the wall. I have stayed at this hotel before, but it has gotten worse since then my honest opinion this motel needs to be shut down remodeled and do something about the smells, and Hire exterminator on a regular basis

The hotel is under construction.my room had a heater of some sort with a door that did not shut and the vent that blew into the room. There was a portable air conditioner. Very muggy room

One of the men at the desk is very rude. I had to pay twice because he thought I had never paid. If I left the room before check out time like to go to store he turned my lock key off. Then tried to make me pay again. I have a reservation and he still didn't want to let me in my room. I get the system was down he made every take all of their belongings and leave to come back at check in time. I get it's a technical problem but you shouldn't have to take all of your belongings and come back especially when you a reservation for several days.

The front desk are disrespectful and foreign. I’m an ahole apparently after I spent 200 and asked him to check for my credit card. What a joke. This world is insane.

It was like pull teeth to even find out any info on early check-in.

My 4 year old and I got stuck in the elevator… after which they still allowed others to use the same one for hours until they finally put an “out of order” sign. The ceiling in the bathroom looked like it was taped together. Sheets felt like sand paper.

The pillows on the bed were really flat..

Property doesn’t look bad service from front desk manager is horrible. Very unprofessional, rude, arrogant, and controlling! I wouldn’t recommend a stay there simply because of the customer service experience!!!

I go to a dog show in McKinney every year and this is my preferred place to stay.

The cleaning staff was rude, I was getting ready to leave the room & asked the cleaning lady to give a 5 minute while I finished gathering my stuff & putting my clothes on & she wouldn’t leave the room. Very bad service, never will I ever stay at that Motel 6

A cleaning lady named,Joy,stole money from room,and I made a complaint at the front desk,and was issued my money back.

Check in was great . Person working was really friendly. The only part that I didn’t like was the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were flat like a pancake.

Stay was not too bad until housekeeping knocked on the door at 7:40a to tell is it was time to check out. We shooed her away but she came back before 9a and told us it was time to check out. Unreal!!!

Great place for someone needing a place to overnight. Easy access, clean, quiet, fast check-in and check-out. Employees were friendly.

Check-in staff at front desk was very rude! It wasnt the first time either. Elevator broken.... had to go up stairs everytime we went out of the room which was very inconvenient. No soap or towels in room,had to go to front dest to ask for them

Read the positive reviews, they are correct. This hotel is clean, the rooms are clean, my bed was comfortable, and the staff very helpful.

We saw a cockroach the size of a house cat twice.... seriously the biggest ive ever seen in my life. Floor was coming up on our room. Black mold on ceiling in bathroom...

The bathroom had a toilet leak and they did not give us a different room. The room smelled bad. The hallway smelled like urine, the tub had stains in it. They took my husbands pillowcase and did not give js a new one and the pillow was dirty. They took our towels and did not replace them

Easy checking, plenty of parking. Found two roaches in room. One in sleeping area, one in bathroom. Shower controls broke, hard to use.

I enjoyed my stay, had no issues while there.

We were there for a 1 night stay. We got in town earlier than check in but the manager still accommodate us with a room with minimal wait time. The property was clean, everyone was friendly upon check in and checkout. The bar next door was having a live concert and that was nice as well.

You get what you pay for. It feels more like a hotel for workers to stay weeks or months at a time. Not really for families as it has nothing to offer to occupy kids, like no swimming pool. Not sure if they offer any breakfast, as we didnt check. Housekeeping was very friendly and helpful. Theres plenty of nearby places to eat or shop at. So location is great.

I booked this hotel for the cost. Upon arrival I was asked if I had a guest coming, I did. I forgot to add them to the original reservation. The desk clerk informed me that there would be a separate charge but would only take cash and not a debt card. That was inconvenient but I found an atm and got the cash. After sorting this out I asked if my guest would have any issue coming up. The desk clerk said he would need to know her name. Not that it mattered but I had a guy friend coming to visit. It's not acceptable that the desk clerk asked for a name, gender or anything private at all. I paid for everything, and my guest was none of his or anyone else's concern. The room was dirty, I could smell smoke and marijuana upon exiting the elevator. I could hear other occupants in my room. There were many stains on my room pillows, sheets and mattress cover. There was dirt and debris on the floor. There was very poor sheetrock work. The tub had a constant dribble. Overall very dissatisfied.

There is this old looking, aggressive and extremely insolent Indian dude called AJ at the front desk. if that is how his name is written. He lacks manners in all forms of approach. He addresses guests with such form of disrespect and arrogance. He should be called to order ASAP. He embarrassed quite a couple of guests with his uncultured utterances. When he tried it with my brother and I, we had to put him in the place that he rightfully belong. The other staff of the hotel are diligent and accommodating. The hotel is not bad for a one or 2 night stay max. The facility is quite basic, old and run down. Air condoning system in the room that I stayed was quite boisterous.

This was the worst stay we have had and will not be back. They did not have do not disturb for the door and the cleaning staff knocked on the door at 730am and then opened our first morning there woke up our sleeping baby and again the next morning same thing after being asked not to knock on our door. Only detail is the elevator sometimes doesnt work and you have to use stairs for 2nd snd 3rd floor. Also microwaves are not inside each room you have to go in main lobby where 2 are located.

This hotel was not in a good condition to stay in. They were painting in the early morning & late night. I got a headache from the fumes. Terrible experience.

Had a fridge but no microwave or coffee maker. Seemed clean. pet friendly was why we stayed there Rough neighborhood but no issues. It was very cold outside. Price was good.

Room was clean but the hotel seemed run down there were bicycles torn down when you go in front faded fake flowers in the pots when you entered the second lock on the door instead of a chain it was a bar that did not look secure

It all worked out and they are true to their pet policy which is why I stay there. Many “pet friendly “ hotels are not.

Horrible female manager. Stay away from this place. Go right around the corner to Super 8. You'll see how much better it is as soon as you walk in the door. Paid the same but in a much more professional, humane, clean environment. For example, the manager at Super 8 would never throw quarters at a customer the way the female manager at Motel 6 did. Yes, she literally threw quarters at me and screamed...go somewhere else. Any place else...

the location is very good, but the atmosphere when entering the hotel is not the best, you can hear noises from the room next door, it smells strange, for $60 you can't expect much.

The only I liked there were plenty of stores and restaurants near by. The hotel was filthy, staff was not very welcoming, Lacking amenities, bad smell. Bedding and curtains had cigarette burns. This was the worst Motel 6 I have ever stayed. Definitely would not recommend.

Decent hotel room, ac was going which was great. Just rough area, felt uncomfortable leaving things in my van.

Customer service not friendly. No microwaves in room. Found eyelashes on top of made bed that has cigarette burns in it. Housekeeping walked in without notice and didn't leave clean towels. Floors were dirty throughout the hotel and it smelled like smoke.

Comfortable bed. Large TV but less than good channel selection. Predictably sparse, but OK for a quick night's sleep.

Staff was horrible, not even a smile on the lady who check us in. Walls were broken in the room. Shower head not working properly. Room service was too early in the morning. Alot of food smell in the hallways. Seems like people live there.

I have NEVER encounter a more rude and UNhelpful person at the desk. She claimed to be a "manager." Room was VERY small, no closet (3 pegs on the wall but only 2 quasi useful), the room was stifling and without an A/C unit, refrigerator was dirty, falling apart. and did not have a freezer section. I checked out and demanded a full refund within 15 min. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY -- even if was free. Horrible place; horrible desk person/"manager."
