    The pool is not open that was a lie then we get to our room there’s a bonnet and sex toy in the bed “how was the room cleaned prior to our stay”? It’s states breakfast well they have nun front desk stated there hasn’t been none since they took over lastly there are no pots to cook at all in the unit no dish soap and then the luggage carrier broke into pieces old and rusty! I was very unsatisfied with my stay ! Hopefully as it get renovated you guys do better ! You can’t even get a cup of coffee glad star bucks was right there !

    Bed was clean and comfortable. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Kitchen cabinets were completely empty. Floors in room were in need of repair or replacement. Half the toilet paper holder was broken off the wall, so the rolls were set on the back of the toilet which is impossible to reach when needed so I put a roll on the bathtub. Electronic key did not always work so the front desk had to let me in and reset it several times. At least it worked the night I was out late so nobody was manning front desk. Halls were generally quiet but since my room was near housekeeping, I did sometimes hear them going in and out. Also heard garbage disposal from other rooms but that did not bother me. I didn't see any restaurants etc nearby and no complimentary breakfast. Overall served my purpose which was a place to stay while visiting family after the first hotel I reserved months ago canceled my reservation before I arrived and said no rooms were available due to a long-term contract being extended. I didn't bring a car but it appeared the lot was full at night.Snack and beverage vending machines in lobby.

    The size of the room. Having a loft room is so beneficial for our family. The person who checked me was super nice! The room I was in was FILTHY! The kitchen floor was sticky, so I used wet paper towels to clean it up and they were black when I finished. Absolutely nothing in the kitchen. No dish soap, no sponge, no paper towels, nothing to cook with. Kitchen sink leaked all over the floor. Not a single blanket in the room!

    Room was not cleaned. Floors were dirty. Sofa was dirty. Microwave didn’t work and was dirty with some greasy substance. Kitchen light out. Door to bedroom coming off the hinges. Sink in lower bathroom was slow to drain. Vents were dirty. This was important because elderly parents have respiratory issues. We were here because of the death of an immediate family member. No one is on duty after 10pm or before 9am. We couldn’t wait to check out so we left room key in drop box and checked out at 7:00 am. This hotel should be taken off the vendor list. I will never bring my elderly parents to stay here again?

    For an inexpensive hotel, this was pretty good. There were a few things that could have been better: there was only one trash can in the suite, the toilet paper holder was broken. On the positive side there was an ice maker in the refrigerator and the suite was two stories with ample sleeping options.

    This was a roach in the bedroom, the had a suit with nothing in it. One chair at the counter, no pots, pans, or utensils. Furniture old the bed was hard 250 dollar deposit for what, there was nothing in the room but an iron. The pool was covered, the gym was storage.The picture are definitely misleading.

    The entire hotel smelled of weed. Room smelled and had flies in the sink. Almost every surface had stains: carpet, walls, couches, beds. We booked since it had a kitchen and they provided nothing to use in the kitchen so it was essentially useless. Not blankets on the bed. Sheets only. Two tiny pillows on the bed. Major water damage in bathroom with rotting floor boards.

    The staff was very nice but the hotel was old, outdated, vents were disgusting, carpet was horrible, beds were old and only had sheets with no spreads, couch needed to be burnt, the parking lot was disgusting(we saw razor blades in parking spots), the owners need to do better. Renovation needs to be done like last year. Will not recommend to anyone!!

    It was nothing like online. The smell of weed smacked you in the face wherever you went, including your room. Torn and broken furniture, stained carpet, food on the walls. It was absolutely atrocious. We lasted 30 minutes and ended up leaving and going somewhere else.

    The air conditioning in the room did not work. I called the front desk and told them and the lady said "We have never had A/C problems in that room before". She stated that someone would come look at it but no one ever came. After 45 minutes, I just returned the keys and checked out. The lady at the deak said she would let someone know and that I would be reimbursed for my one night stay, that never happened. Still waiting for reimbursement.

    The staff was very friendly and they did their best to help us out but a few things were lacking. Shortage on blankets so would've been nice to have instead of just bed sheets but didn't freeze, you can control the temperature in the rooms. The beds and tub and such were clean but we did see and kill two cockroches, the bathroom needed a sweep and the rooms smelled of smoke. But for the price it was a good stay. They have quiet rules so there wasn't much noise and the beds were comfy. Staff was very accommodating to their abilities and tried their best to help. Very appreciated it and would stay there again.

    When we arrived we were told the keycard was not working and a staff member had to let us back in our room each time we left. The listing indicates late checkout was available but when I asked I was told it cost $35 and would only be extended from 11 to 12. The whole building smelled like weed. Our belongings smelled long after leaving. There was not any cookware, plates, flatware available in the kitchen, so being listed as "full kitchen" was very misleading as the kitchen is essentially useless. No breakfast, bed was tiny with 2 small pillows and no blanket just a sheet.

    The place is very outdated. Bedroom floor had a yellow stain on it. Shampoo, conditioner, and soap dispensers were removed from the wall with just the remnants showing. No paper towel towels, dish soap or towels provided in the kitchenette, and only one plate, spoon and a couple mugs. One of the drawers was broke. Handle missing off another. No comforters on either bed only a sheet. No hairdryer in the rooms.(was able to at least get one from the front desk, though) One of the bedrooms would not cool down., just overall a pretty disappointing experience. Pictures make the hotel decent, but it’s pretty rundown.

    The 1st floor smelled of marijuana. None of the exterior doors were locked although they had a place to use your key to enter. There was a fire the 2nd night and I couldn’t get in. I went to a relative’s house and called for 3 hours but the phone was always busy. I drove back and found I could get in but the elevator wasn’t working. There was a sign saying to use the stairs but no stairs were seen. There was a sign at the front desk with a number to call as they didn’t staff the desk after 10. I had to go outside of the building to get to the stairs. Again- the door wasn’t locked-anyone could access the stairs and upper floors.

    Cleanliness was a concern. The carpets were filthy and furniture was heavily worn, and the air filter was dated 2/2024 and it looked like it. Towels left lint or debris on the skin after use. The building was not staffed 24/7, and two entrances were unsecured 24 hours a day. There was no coffee maker in the room and no coffee available in the lobby. Hot water was limited due to a small water heater and leaking showers. Bedding quality was below expectations, with small throw pillows. The biggest issue was inaccurate advertising. Had expectations been set more clearly, I would have prepared differently or chosen another property. Additionally, although I disclosed traveling with a pet at booking and check-in by signing a consent and paid the stated total, I was later informed of an unexpected additional $70 pet fee. We paid $600 for 3 nights. Clearer communication and improved cleanliness and maintenance would significantly improve the experience.

    The Sonesta Simply Suites Memphis East Poplar Pike should not operate as a hotel until a complete renovation is done to the entire facility. The staff I encountered were friendly and pleasant. The lobby area was clean and the furniture in this area appeared to be in good condition. The condition of my hotel room, the elevator and the hallways are clear signs that the hotel is not in the best shape. The rear entry door to the building was never locked during the two days of my stay. The door appeared to be broken. My room was in terrible condition - the carpet was dirty and had stains throughout, there were dirt marks on the wall, a hole in the wall in near the dining area, the vents were full of dust, the room smelled of cigarette smoke, the baseboard in the kitchen was damaged, the oven needed a deep cleaning, the bathtub faucet had a consistent leak, the ceiling in the bathroom was peeling from water damage, and there were roaches in the bathroom.

    Room was extremely dirty, stains on Furnature, headrests, carpet. Kitchen didn't have any Apliances but it was advertised inline with the pictures as extended suite with all essential appliances.     The bed had no blanket only a sheet, when i called the front desk they stated they didnt have anymore. I had to sleep with my sweatsuit in to stay warm. The shower curtain rod was bent so the curtain couldnt stay closed so the shower head had to be angled to avoid water goi g in the floor. There were no utensils, glasses or plates in the kitchen area to use and one of the cabinets in the kitchen was broken

    The staff was very nice, but the hotel is falling apart. I stay at Sonesta's, and they are wonderful hotels, but this one is forgotten about, has no amenities, has no breakfast, and there seems to be a lack of morale from the employees. Treat the employees better and bring the life back to the hotel. This is a disgrace!

    Advertised having breakfast turns out no breakfast because supposedly they are in a remodel which you couldn’t tell by that looking at the place which overall is not bad, but could’ve been better.     Very dissappointing all around. The picture of the kitchen is totaly wrong. The kitchen had zero dishes fry pan, glasses etc. Nothing. We had to ask for bare minimum plates etc to function in the kitchen and that ordeal took an hour. Limited towels, no pillow cases and the bathroom sink was totally stopped up and would not drain. To save time I fixed it myself. Large active leak and stain in the bathroom ceiling. No hair dryer. Finally got one at 10 pm. The back door to the hotel from parking lot broken and would not close. Therefore, no building security at night. Front desk doesn't open until 9am making an early departure checkout hard. We were at this same hotel ayear ago and we enjoyed it. This time a total failure. The hotel needs renivation or closed down. Never again.

    I reserved a Queen suite at this location. Upon arrival, the room was average but there was an odd smell in the air that I thought may have come from the room being vacant. By the third day, the smell of mold & mildew was still there. While taking showers or flushing the toilet water ran out unto the kitchen floor. The kitchen tile, carpet, & closet door had previous water damage which caused the bottom of the door to peel drastically while attempting to put luggage in there. On top of that, I paid for a Queen suite and received a full sized bed. In the bathroom, the ceiling is peeling causing paint chips to drop when the moisture from the shower can't escape the room due to there being no ventilation system. It would've been a comfortable stay, however, that particular room needs some care.

    There is some false advertisement going on, the place is not completely terrible but it definitely needs work. The room had burnt holes, there was a urine scent in the room, only to pull out the sofa bed and the sheets had old urine stains as if someone urines in the bed. The couch was so dirty and nasty that we had to cover it with a sheet plus go purchase an air mattress to sleep on. I’ve called to speak with someone about at least a partial refund.

    This was absolutely the worst hotel/motel I ever stayed at. Druggies, homeless people, individuals having sexual encounters with window open, staff was rude, hotel room did not have ac, nor was clean. Never staying here nor would I recommend it.

    Nasty dirty surrounding areas to much extra activity going on late night, have to go through back door to get in at night where trash is still spoke walking all times of night. My family members air wasn’t working the entire time we stayed there noting was done about it. The entire hotel stinks it’s a hot mess needs to be torn down

    It was okay stay, they just need some comestic update, clean the dust and rust around the a/c bent, spray for bug because it is summer time and carpet beetle, roaches, water bug..etc about to start up, need 4 pillow on the bed instead of two, check for water leak on building 5 second floor, no breakfast, the staff did greet me when I check in and out, plenty of parking space, and glad it was next to gas station, Starbucks and BBQ place.

    Last minute reservations the lady at the front desk was the nicest person ever! Only issue we had was that the ac in our room did not work. Yet the lady up front took care of it she put us in a different room after hours ( front desk closes at 10) I know she was tired yet she was so helpful and understanding. Loved the rooms we got smelled nice not stuffy at all beds were heaven

    Location was nice and the loft was a good idea.....IF it was a different hotel but our room had bugs amd the air filter was dirty last changed in August last year. We suspect this visit is why our daughter got sick. We had to spend over $300 just for cleaning supplies to clean it. DO NOT GO HERE!!

    They charge me a room security deposit and never return it. They said my transaction did not go through and I own them money. The rooms was nasty after inspecting them closely. Mold was very were under the bathroom sink and walls.

    It was the fact that they didn’t have a iron or any extra irons that I could use. They had no extra blankets limited on towels. It was a baby bottle left in the couch and bugs crawling on the couch. The entrance in the back isn’t locked so that’s a safety concern.

    It was evident our room had been previously broken into, there was damage to the door and the door frame. The people at the front desk would rarely answer the phones. When I asked for extra pillows for my mom (we were sharing a room and there were only two very flat pillows) they said “you got two, right?” I said yeah, she said “you only supposed to have two.” And I said okay and when I tried to say “thanks anyway” she had already hung up on me. People were quite loud outside our room all night. They threatened to charge us an extra day if we were late to check out after refusing to answer the phone all morning for us to ask about check out. When we asked if we could just stay another night they told us we’d have to go through the same people we originally booked through because it was out of their hands which didn’t make sense to me since it’s their hotel so why can’t they extend our stay? We decided we were going to extend our stay in Memphis one more day anyway but definitely not with them. Terrible service, rude staff, sketchy area, damaged door, overall horrible experience.
