The front desk job staff are always pleasant, welcoming and accommodating. I had an unexpected doctors appointment that was going to cut into my departure day check out time. The front desk staff heard about my dilemma and offered me a late check out so that I would not be rushed after returning to the room at 11: 30am for a 12:00 p.m. check out. I am very grateful for that extended check out because I wasn't stressed rushing back from my doctor's appointment and had plenty of time to pack up my room and depart. Could not ask for more a caring hotel stuff.

overall this Tru hotel was excellent. Room and bathroom was clean. It had a very welcoming at the main entrance. Breakfast was okay I just wish they had a better variety to chose from.

The quality of the matress was not good. It was like sleeping on a pull out sofa matress...not soft and/or firm. Also, pillows typical flat and soft hotel style which I do not prefer. I didn't request another room because only staying one night (Memorial Day evening/Tue. morning). Staff service, variety of food choices for breakfast, hotel clean both public guest areas and my room. Property well maintained. Location to hwy was the best!

I have never stayed in a hotel where there was no coffee pot in the room, house keeping only comes every other day and no ice machine in the floor. Only ice machine was on the first floor. Also there were only two towels provided in the room for a two adult occupancy.

This hotel looks brand new, very modern with lots of innovation that I’ve not seen in other hotels. The front desk staff were extremely friendly. The room was sparkling clean and well appointed. The continental breakfast had lots of variety and the staff kept replenishing things. I would definitely stay there again!

Room is really small. No place to sit other than the bed. Kleenex box was empty. AC turns off when you are out of the room so the room is very hot when you return from dinner. Refrigerator did not work. Breakfast did not look good . I left and paid for a good breakfast elsewhere. I would not stay here again.

Good central location to where we wanted to stay and hotel was well taken care of and clean. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was mediocre. As far as our room, it had a strange odor and the air conditioner was horrible. It had a sound like a rocket was taking off when it kicked on, so sleeping was not good. We had adjoining rooms and they both sounded that way. On the plus side, i loved the feather pillows!

Our Airconditioner in our room was extremely loud, and the case rattled. It did not provide a good quality of sleep. I did alert the staff member to it when we checked out.

Front desk staff was rude and quite arrogant. The TV system was down throughout our stay, except for 2 or 3 local channels. I am perfectly fine with teenagers having fun but running around screaming at 11 pm for two nights was quite annoying, the hotel staff didn’t care.

We had a great stay here! Room was very clean which is the biggest thing for me. Continental breakfast wasn’t the best but it was fine. Overall I would stay here again due to the cleanliness and ease of checking in and out.

Breakfast was a buffet bar with choices of bagel/bread with toaster, eggs with sausage, hot grits, waffle maker and toppings, yogurt machine, fruit, juice machine and coffee/teas. Did not use pool this time. Quick check-in/out via online with digital keys was a great way for access and room entry without needing to go to front desk. Parking was getting full but with some spots remaining. Overall very impressed.

At check the young woman at the desk was rude, condescending, sarcastic and just overall unwelcoming. On the other hand the other customer who came in right behind us was greeted so warmly by the gentleman at the desk. She told him about her upcoming family event and a sad piece of info and he immediately got up came around to her and spoke so compassionately that I thanked him for his kindness to her. Then today at checkout the same rude woman was at the desk. When we asked about checkout she glared at us and said no we don’t get anything. She would check everyone out at noon the one time. We were confused because we wanted to confirm no additional charges showed up and she e were told NO. Shocking representation of a Hilton brand. A raise is in order for the gentleman at desk tho.

My check in was a breeze. I was greeted when walking in the building. The gentlemen was very nice and he gave me a little history in the building. This was my very first stay and it was great. I definitely will be back.

I was double charged. My key wasn’t working and had to go back to the front desk several times. I have stayed here several times and have always had a good experience, this time just seemed a little less organized.

First of all, the 12:00 checkout option was my favorite part. Loved the breakfast. Shout out to the staff. Both front desk attendants we met were extremely nice.

Room stank! Smelled of body odor. Sprayed everything with Lysol I brought with me. Metal platforms beds uncomfortable, hit my legs every time I got up. Toilet wobbly.

The breakfast bar was ok. Need better toasters for the bagels. Needed fresh fruit. Bannanas were brown ands over ripe. Apples were tasteless. And need yogurt!!!

From check-in to check-out everything was great. We were greeted by a very professional and friendly young lady (sorry don’t remember her name). Our room was clean and perfect for us and our two small dogs. Parking was convenient and the entire facility was clean. Breakfast was a treat and good coffee available throughout the day. The vibe was cool and family based, breakfast was good but definitely should have lasted past 9am! We dd not realize that the hotel was directly beside a highway when booking --this was a big issue when it was sleepy time. There was SO much car/truck/traffic noise ALL NIGHT and sadly none of us slept through, therefore, we were all still tired when we woke up. For this reason, we will probably not stay here again.

From the front desk staff to the cleaning staff, everyone is very friendly and accommodating. I have stayed at this hotel more than 10 times, for a week per visit and there's never been a time when I didn't experience friendly staff, clean and welcoming facilities. I feel safe in my environment. Love the Southern grits the serve for breakfast!!! And the egg omelet with peppers is the bomb!!!!!

Front desk lady on the morning we checked out (Oct 11) was incredibly rude. When I was checking out it took her a minute to put down her phone so that I could ask for a printed receipt. She then snarled at me with a raised eye brow and curled lip. It caught me off guard but quickly realized she wanted my room number. She then quickly printed my receipt and handed it to me without ever saying a word.

Staff is outstanding! Each clerk was personable, engaging, completely focused on details related to my stay. Welcomed me and my Chow Chow with the same enthusiasm.

Day staff was friendly. When we arrived back at the property in the evening, I had questions for the front desk. There was no staff around, then I noticed a staff member/front desk associate playing pool at the pool table with other guests. I stood there for awhile seeing if I would be acknowledged. Afterwards I gave up and went upstairs. I then called the front desk, no answer. Little frustrating for the lack of service.

“Meh” is being generous! it’s bearable if you take meds to put yourself to sleep. Everything looks very worn: bed, towels, the super thin curtain they use as blankets. Just pay a little extra for an average accommodation if you can swing it!

I like Hilton. Had never stayed at a Tru. The room air conditioner was very loud. Constantly. There were other loud mechanical fan type sounds as well. Made sleep difficult. The front desk person was ok but instead of keeping the lobby area tidy (clean the coffee area and pick up litter) he read a book. Another office person sat in a corner work area, appearing to rest behind her computer. The construction at this hotel was a surprise and a bit inconvenient but didn’t disturb our sleep.Nothing outrageous, just not up to my previous Hilton experiences. I will stick with the Home 2 Suites line. (Bigger rooms and just nicer.)

Do not recommend. States coffee and tea 24 / 7 but it is cold coffee and cold water 19 hours of the day and evening. Rooms very overrated and much smaller than photos. No daily paper as described but was listed as an amenity. Soap and shampoo questionable. Breakfast below average and few choices. Not Hilton quality at all. Stayed at Hilton home suites in West Ashley two weeks prior and it was great. Tru was so miserable and uncomfortable, we left our second day early and lost money for the night.. No bag storage in room; 3 hangers; plastic tables; unsecured desk; Never had such a bad experience and we have traveled many places and countries with great stays.

The property was easy to locate, in a safe area, clean, and check-in was seamless. The only issue I had was that I chose this property because laundry facilities were listed as an amenity, which is necessary for us, having a son in college. However, when we arrived we were told their were no available washer and dryers, so we ended up spending 3 hours at a laundromat.

Me and my friend came down for a wedding. The location was great for getting to Charleston or Isle of Palms where the wedding was held. The beds and pillows were sooooo comfy. Very clean rooms. Breakfast was great and convenient as well.

I personally like staying at the Tru Properties. Breakfast - who cares but it is there if you want --- the room was clean the check in was easy. NOW there is construction going on from 9-5 pm SO BEWARE -- outside the building.

LOVE this hotel. I have stayed here many times due to doctor apptmts in Mt Pleasant. THIS visit was still nice but there was construction going on & apparently the workers are staying in the hotel with their families. Why should that matter? The family across the hall from us had children running up/down the hallways AND a dog that barked. Aside from the noise, beds were great, breakfast was wonderful, and the staff was very helpful.

We lived the area. The hotel was very easy to get into and around the surrounding places we wanted to visit. Mt Pleasant, Isle of Palms, Sullivans Island, Downtown Charleston, West Ashley all were an easy commute.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

This is a very fun hotel -- especially for a giant family reunion traveling at the same time as us. The big common areas on the lobby level meant they had a great time, and we didn't have to listen to them going from room to room visiting and slamming doors. Yay common area! The laundry machines were fast and clean, and the AC was quiet.

I was very disappointed that I was told breakfast is served until 10 AM and then one day one of the staff members closed breakfast down at 9:15 despite the fact that myself and there were several families going to get breakfast. I got the impression she just wanted to clean and not be bothered. It's false advertising, and it goes against the idea of "hospitality."

I truly appreciate Kreston the clerk at the front desk. He was humorous, polite and very courteous upon greeting us at the hotel. He had such a welcoming spirit. I look forward to visiting again in the future.

We stayed for 3 nights (8/4-8/6) and was pleased with the variety of breakfast choices daily. Loved the comfort of the lobby and the pool table was an added plus! Check in was easy and staff were pleasant for the most part - Wednesday morning attendant was a little snippy. Maybe she couldn’t hear because she had earbuds in! 🤔 The room was roomy and the bed was very comfortable!

Property was fairly well maintained. It seemed like there were people/vehicles parking there that were not customers.

The staff was friendly... but... one front desk employee kept her car parked directly in front of the entrance to where no one could easily unload or load up, I took a pic of it... kept her car there... The continental breakfast was below par. The tables and floors had food on them from previous diners and staff was on their phones. I don't expect much. Ended up just eating 2 of their hard boiled eggs. Rooms were Very clean, showers were strong. I felt safe for the most part as i was with others.

We had to wait for our room after traveling 4 hours. We arrived at 4:30pm . We had to ask for new towels and washed cloths. The room was not cleaned up after the first night stay. It was not all bad but for the money that we was charged this was unacceptable.

Tru by Hilton in Mt. Pleasant, SC has a very modern feel with a relaxing atmosphere and lots of amenities including a communal pool table that is free to play. Will make this our place to stay with every trip to Charleston, SC.

Wonderful Staff and clean facility. We had previously booked another place and had to leave abruptly due to the conditions of the hotel. The staff at Tru were so helpful and welcoming. Will definitely stay here again next time I visit.
