I loved the kitchenette and good size fridge was very useful. Breakfast was OK. Very clean bathroom. The floor at the entrance was a little sticky, didn’t cause much discomfort took me two minutes to wipe with wet paper towel. Great location. Satisfied overall.

We enjoyed our stay. Joanne at the front desk was extremely pleasant and helpful while we were there. The parking lot was small. There was only one large luggage cart there and on our check out day someone must have kept it in their room because for several hours that morning we checked for it and it wasn’t available. We had stayed there for five nights so we had to make several trips to take our luggage out.

Great location for many things. Easy to get in and out of with exits at each end of the road. They have Weber gas grills in front of the hotel if you're using the place as an extended stay.

Our stay at Towne Place Suites by Marriott, at Mt. Pleasant, SC, was excellent. The room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The desk staff was courteous, helpful, and friendly. A breakfast was included. The location is just minutes away from Trader Joe's and Kid Cashew restaurant, which are two of our favorite places. Sullivan Beach was great, also a short drive from Isle Of Palms Beach. High Five ?
- 4/5
Everything was clean and the staff was warm and welcoming. We did have a very squeaky bathroom door in 419 . Also I didn’t care for the chime in elevator at each floor. Good coffee and nice breakfast selection.
- 2/5
Breakfast was lacking, the food does not live up to the pictures presented online..
- 5/5
We booked this place because it was pet friendly. Upon check in we were give a bag that included treats, a poop bag and a paper with information about local pet friendly places. We visited a great waterfront park and a beach with our dogs after check out based on this information. Five paws review!

Good value for the price Breakfast was minimal

The staff was amazing! Expedia changed our reservation without consulting us (gave us a room with one bed for 4 people!), and although the property had no other rooms available, they made our stay great!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We were impressed with the variety and quality of the breakfast options and the coffee was also very good. We had a problem with the cable on the tv the first night but by the next evening it was fixed.
- 5/5
Excellent service
- 5/5
Staff was nice, breakfast was good area was quite and close to Daniel’s Island and downtown.
- 4/5
Clean room. Would have preferred a keurig coffee maker. Discovered a millipede in the bathroom in the morning.
- 5/5
This was a great stay. We especially want to give a shoutout to Michael at the front desk. He gave us a great welcome to the hotel and was very knowledgeable about the area. Nothing was too much trouble for him. We stayed here versus downtown Charleston and was happy that we did as it was close to Isle of Palms (nice beach area with restaurants) and then also to Sullivan island for Yorktown museum and Ship. The hotel was clean, quiet and great value for money.
- 5/5
This hotel was beyond our expectations! It was super clean and had the nicest people working there. Our room was huge and I was amazed by that considering we just got a basic double queen room. We will definitely be coming back here again!
- 5/5
Friendly staff, spacious rooms, clean
- 5/5
Only negative is carpet is completely worn to threadbare in places and undoes all the other positives. Replacement NEEDS to be an absolute priority in this room.
- 4/5
Great value for the price
- 5/5
Friendly staff very clean. Quiet
- 5/5
Please put out real bacon for breakfast amd real cream for coffee

Overall a great experience! Michael was a great help to us in getting us a confirmation as well as checking us in. The entire staff was fantastic. We will definitely return to this location on our next trip to Charleston.
- 5/5
Our room was nice, clean, and spacious. We will be staying here again in the future.

- 5/5
Close to everything in Mount Pleasant
- 5/5
We would stay here again. Staff was very friendly and eager to help. Made the stay much nicer. I liked how they had thongs that could be borrowed if n3eded.
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable. Thoughtful amenities. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Wide range of breakfast choices.
- 5/5
Modern leather sofa, bed with a top-shelf mattress and nice bed linens. On a 90° June day, other hotel guests were enjoying the pool and exercise amenities. I was thankful for shady areas in which to park. Also, location was close to great eateries in Mount Pleasant as well as to the meeting I had scheduled .
- 5/5
and very spacious - having the mini kitchen was a bonus that we appreciated. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. We would definitely look to stay here again if ever in the area and will keep this company in mind for future travels!
- 5/5
Absolutely loved our room - I was in town for surgery at MUSC and I am so happy we got to stay here! It’s close to a lot of shopping, and close enough to the hospital - took us less than 15 minutes to get there. The staff were super nice and friendly, the bed was comfy, and the noon checkout time was my fav! We got to grab breakfast, run for my checkup, come back and lay by the pool for a little while before showering and heading out! It was great - highly recommended.
- 5/5
Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds, clean rooms
- 4/5
Good
- 5/5
Nice place, good accommodations and great location. A short Uber or Lyft to the downtown district is fast and inexpensive.
- 5/5
shower water would leak some on the floor
- 5/5
The property is short drive to many attractions.
- 5/5
Room size was great and the bathroom very clean
- 4/5
Overall, great experience...a group of us attended the Charleston Open and the hotel location is perfect. One suggestion -- needed foam pillows, but since the hotel was full there were no extras. Front desk staff superb!!!
- 3/5
Very expensive for the area and stay. There was a nice kitchen in the room, but paint peeling and slightly unclean floors. I chose this location as I needed to be near the hospital, but the cost was really high in my opinion.
- 5/5
Great , if you like to be able to cook
- 5/5
Great location and roomy hotel. Breakfast was very good too.
- 4/5
convenient to Charleston
- 2/5
No room service despite an extended stay.
- 4/5
Easy to find and nice and clean
- 5/5
Very nice area, many conveniences near by.
- 4/5
Our room was nice and clean, however the air blowing on us during the night gave us both a stuffy nose. We couldn't turn it off because it would have been too stuffy in the room. We loved having the kitchen with a 12 cup coffee pot because the coffee downstairs was horrible. We brought our own.
- 5/5
Rooms well equipped and breakfast included to start your day of sightseeing in beautiful Charleston. Short drive ti the beach or downtown
- 4/5
Good hotel in a good location. Breakfast was fine.
- 2/5
This property was clean and updated, But they charged us $50 a night for our dog! Highway robbery!
- 5/5
Clean, well maintained and friendly staff.
- 2/5
Room was beautiful but we seen roaches in the room and it took a while to get someone at the front desk to check us in
- 5/5
Great stay, lots of room and great deal for the money.
- 2/5
Rooms were not cleaned for three days. Breakfast was mediocre at best. They have feather pillows, and when asked for foam, we were given more feather. The hotel was notified prior to our arrival of a late check in and I gave them a time frame. When we arrived, within my timeframe given, the front desk person said they tried to check us in with the card used to hold the rooms earlier and was unable to out loud. The entire experience was not the best. When they finally cleaned our room on day 3, they did take care of everything. We will not stay here again.
- 5/5
The only thing I wish they did was provide real bacon at breakfast. They need some good old-fashioned biscuits, bacon regular scrambled eggs and grits.
- 5/5
Lovely room. Very clean and spacious. Bathroom was awesome. Very updated and modern. Can’t complain about anything. Best hotel we had in a long time.
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean and attractive. The suite was roomy and comfortable. and was cleaned every other day. Staff was friendly and courteous. Breakfast was more than adequate. Only issue we had was the AC was either 64 or 75. We couldn't adjust the temp.
- 5/5
Staff were very kind, unlimited waffles for breakfast. The suites are super comfortable and spacious, they have full kitchens which was great as well.
- 5/5
Staff was very pleasant as well as efficient. The room was stellar. Breakfast was tasty. Great stay.
- 4/5
Room was Immaculate and staff was incredibly nice- the only problem was the noise! It was off a busy road for one and could hear traffic all night. Also, make sure you get a room on the TOP floor! I was on the 3rd and it sounded like kids were bowling upstairs! If it wasn’t noisy, it would be perfect!!! oh, and couldn’t use the pool. There was some kind of softball/soccer party and they had the entire area taken up.
- 4/5
My family decided to do a last minute vacation to Isle of Palms and saw reviews for this hotel! We were very pleased with the amenities and the area around. Super close to the beach as well while avoiding all the traffic! We will be coming back for sure
- 5/5
All was as it should be
- 5/5
Love Motel 8
- 4/5
The hotel itself was wonderful, and they did what they could to help with the noise. There were very loud children screaming at the pool until like 10:30pm. Unfortunately our room was on the pool side. Also, the ac was leaking badly and there was a huge puddle in front of the unit. However, the room was spacious and modern, and we could stay for a lot longer thanks to the full kitchen and amenities. Breakfast was lovely, and I think it would have been a perfect stay had it not been for the loud guests.
- 4/5
Extra attention needed to cleanliless of room. Food splatters on wall rntering foor. Very apparent and toothpaste on door and walls in bathroom dusty furniture.
- 4/5
All good
- 5/5
Love it super comfortable
- 5/5
Clean, close to beach, great breakfast
- 5/5
Awesome stay!!
- 5/5
Close to everything and very clean.
- 5/5
Great place very clean
- 5/5
Towneplace Suites is a great brand in general. Roomy, organized, a kitchen! It offers easy access to Isle of Palms. Staff is great.
- 5/5
The property was very nice.
- 5/5
Loved the property!
- 5/5
Yes, stay was very nice. Very quiet. Rooms are insulated very well. Air conditioning units worked very well. Breakfast was definitely good. They changed the menu every day which is a nice thing to see. Wish the hours were a little bit later than 9 AM. Cut off pet friendly, but not too many areas with grass to walk your dog as well-overall would stay here highly recommend for families with pets. Pool is kinda small.
- 3/5
Hotel front desk was very nice, housekeeping awesome, breakfast terrible even for a hotel is was the worst we have had
- 5/5
Close to Shem Creek and not a bad Uber into downtown Charleston.
- 4/5
Best part: it's extremely conveniently located - 10 minutes to the heart of downtown Charleston and area attractions in every direction, plus so much less expensive than some comparable options in the downtown. Great area to stay in. Good: room was really spacious, really felt like we had a little apartment. Bed was comfy, and cleanliness could've been better but not terrible or anything. Just Okay: Guy was visibly frustrated at checkin, which is fine and I can understand youre busy but he barely said much to me and was not welcoming. No overview of the hotel or anything other than our room number. It was odd. On a busy weekend, returning at night makes it extremely hard to find a spot on the front of the building, which is where more than half of the parkling lot is. There's only one entrance, so if you have to go park around back, you have to walk all the way around to get inside. The parking lot was just designed poorly. The pool was nice, but it needed to be cleaned and there was an obnoxious guy staying there trying to use the grill and pool area as his personal patio and let his dog get in the pool, which isn't allowed and is clearly on the pool rules sign. But, there clearly was no one monitoring the pool area throughout the day, as we found dog hairs in the water.
- 5/5
It was a wonderful place overall. A great price for having a full kitchen.
- 4/5
It was nice and relaxing
- 1/5
Left with bed bug bites, most of the outlets in the room don’t work/ stop working mid-charge, food delivery trash sat in the hallway for days (housekeeping walked by it,) So disgusted and disappointed
- 5/5
Our stay was nice.
- 5/5
Very clean. Great kitchen area. Convenient location.
- 5/5
I stayed here for three weeks for a work trip. The location is great to explore all Charleston has to offer. The rooms feel like they are your own little apartment. I utilized the gym often which I enjoyed. The weekends are more busy, as to be expected. But the kids come and go.
- 5/5
Great location!
- 5/5
It was pouring rain and there was not a covered area to get inside the entrance.
- 5/5
Sam checked us in and was very friendly. He told us they were overbooked on king rooms and had none for me! But he did offer me 2 queens at half price of the king room I paid for. Now I need Expedia to work with this hotel snd adjust my price!!
- 4/5
The stay was fine but check in was not. Arrived at 3:05 pm and was told we could not check in until 4 pm. I am sure rooms were ready but the person at the desk was not willing to give us our room a little early. We had an event we had to be at 4 pm. Not great service.
- 3/5
I will start with the first issue which was that on the site it said electric chargers only to find out it was a Tesla charger only which didn't help us. Room 408 had minimal hot water, the sink didn't have a drain cap( not a big deal, but still shouldn't happen), Breakfast wasn't very appetizing, and pool is really small. Oh yeah and our fridge wasn't working either to top it all off. I am not sure I would stay there again even if they gave me 3 free nights. Watch yourself on this one.
- 5/5
This was close to great restaurants and shopping, yet quite and easy to get to.
- 5/5
Wonderful suite, spacious and clean.
- 4/5
Property was in a convenient location with easy access to Charleston. Walls were not soundproof as I could hear people having conversation in next room. Bed was comfortable but none of the pillows were suitable for my liking.
- 5/5
Good stay, clean rooms. Excellent location
- 5/5
Friendly clean great to go breakfast
- 5/5
We stayed the night before our cruise and was able to leave our car for the 8 days we were gone. Safe neighborhood and car was in same conditions as when i left. Breakfast was great. Clean hotel. Staff were extra helpful and polite. Would highly recommend!!!
- 5/5
Great central location with quick access to 526 and 17. Staff was a little overwhelmed with the breakfast rush but pushed thru with courtesy and a smile.
- 5/5
Staff were so friendly and helpful. Rooms were immaculate, and the kitchenettes were fabulous. Breakfast had a great variety. There was nothing negative. One suggestion, however, is to have dish soap in the kitchenette, not just detergent for the dishwasher. Thank you!
- 4/5
Hotel had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay: gym, full breakfast, laundry and a kitchen in our room. We were very comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful, good water pressure and I liked the soaps, lotion and conditioner provided. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Sort distance to Walmart and target. The only issue we had was the hotel was very crowded and loud with families. Seating area in lobby was dirty and elevators needed cleaning. Our room was clean however and we enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
The location
