So much to do in neighborhoods just minutes away and within walking distance - South Seaport, Chinatown, Little Italy, SoHo, and the LES. So close to the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge. Major downside was the fish smell from the market. Even on the 6th floor, the smell was awful. The check-in area and hallways smelled bad. The smell was within the room. Thin walls, but luckily the crew Nextdoor to us went to be the same time as us.

excellent location. may places you can walk to.

The staff here are fantastic. So helpful and kind! Free breakfast is a lovely bonus and the location is great. My room was very spacious, especially by new York city standards. I would stay here again.

Rooms were clean, location of this property is also great, and complimentary breakfast had good options. Overall, this was a great place to stay and would like to come again.

Beds were comfortable. Great location and breakfast was included. Staff nice and helpful. Water in sink was cold. I booked this place due to location( great) and because it said queen size beds. The beds were doubles not queens.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location in Chinatown is excellent, just a short walk from the Brooklyn Bridge and perfect for exploring Downtown Manhattan on foot. The room was very clean, and the bed was large and comfortable. The only challenge was the hotel payment process, as there was no contactless payment option and payment had to be made with a physical card, which might be stressful for guests who mainly use mobile payment apps. However, the staff was extremely kind and helpful, and they quickly turned the situation into a positive experience.

We had a really lovely stay and would happily recommend this hotel. The staff were super kind, friendly, and always willing to help. The location is great — everything is close by, either within walking distance or easy to reach by metro. Breakfast was also really nice, with a good selection every day.

Conveniently located by s subway station. Staff was friendly. Room was clean.
- 3.5/5
In Manhattan, easily accessible by transportation The room was not well maintained, and the windows were poorly insulated. As a result, the noise from the train crossing the bridge was clearly audible throughout the night. While the breakfast quality was good, the staff did not replenish the food once it ran out, even though the breakfast service was still ongoing.
- 4.5/5
The hotel was easy to find and close to the activities we planned. The parking garage was close to the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and had a good variety. The room and hotel were clean.

The hotel was good for our needs. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was complimentary which was good. Loved having the microwave in the room. The location was good, however the surrounding was dirty, cardboard boxes etc left on the street for collection which made the area look bad. Noisy in the rooms due to trains passing by 24/7 We had the Queen Room with Two Queen Beds for 4 adults. Room was small and crammed. Not enough space for 4 suitcases. House keeping is only offered every other day, bins fill up.

The employees were nice and helpful The breakfast was good They did not clean the room even once The mattress was too soft

It was ok. Wasn't satisfied with the property.
- 3.5/5
Friendly and helpful staff. Good sized room with refrigerator, tv and air-conditioning. Good location on the edge of Chinatown with easy access to subway and Manhattan Bridge. Unfortunately although we'd advised of our dietary requirements in advance of our stay (1 gluten free and 1 vegan) there was very little available to us for breakfast each day. This was very disappointing.
- 4/5
Location is key on this one, just below Chinatown in central Manhattan. Good value for money therefore. The metro line on the Manhattan bridge is very near, meaning that all trains made substantial noise inside the room. We’re sound sleepers but be warned, you’ll hear them! Breakfast was also mediocre, in a space which is definitely too small for the hotel’s capacity.

- 3/5
The noise in the room from traffic and trains was really not perfect. I was having hard time falling asleep. The cleaness of the room was ok, but only ok. I can't get the comforter (only blankets were available.
- 4.5/5
The mattress is very comfortable and the room is quite large for NY standards. The shower has good pressure and the location is also great, just two blocks from the metro station. The noise from the train is audible from the room, so be aware if you are a light sleeper. The breakfast is very basic.
- 0.5/5
It was pretty clean, good WiFi I didn’t like that they charge for leaving bags, even car seats. Even for 20 minutes. Also breakfast wasn’t that good

Proximity to things. Friendly staff. Very noisy neighborhood especially at night. Ambulances and police sirens all night long. Subway track close by. No lobby in the hotel to sit. Our room was very small. Mattress uncomfortable.
- 4/5
very kind staff!
- 3.5/5
The staff was friendly. Hotel was clean. Every other day housekeeping, no parking, location, breakfast
- 4/5
Our hotel was clean, comfortable and conveniently close to train stations and lots of good food. Hot water ran out a few times. Had to wait longer for our hotel room past the 3 pm check in time as well.
- 4/5
Good location very close to subway and chinatown The rooms could be a bit bigger for 4 people
- 5/5
The staff at the front desk were so nice and accommodating. This is our second time at this hotel. They impressed us the first time too! I also had enough points on my Marriot card for a free night! We'll always stay here in the future.
- 4/5
Everyone was so nice & helpful. Just smelled so much like fish!
- 4/5
Good price Not sure if neighborhood is safe.
- 4/5
The cleanliness of the facilities. The staff were super nice and made my family feel super comfortable. That was definitely the different in our experience. The smell in the building was sometimes a little off. It kind of smelled moldy or something was wet, but didn't really dry and stayed in the air.
- 4/5
Nothing, this particular room was perfect for my trip i was on.
- 5/5
All was very well, the staff and the hotel were great
- 4/5
Room was clean and the location was great to explore Chinatown
- 3.5/5
The breakfast buffet was average. Lots of options, but the food wasn't particularly tasty. We booked a suite which turned out not to be a suite at all (the staff were helpful in resolving this for us). Also, the walls are paper-thin, so our room near the elevator and ice machine had constant noise. The hotel hallways and elevators have a funky smell.
- 5/5
Really nice room, clean and a great location. Friendly staff, particularly the front desk staff.
- 5/5
Like this place .
- 5/5
The location was great for us since we wanted to explore china town, front desk was very friendly
- 5/5
Excellent breakfast, 2 women working there were amazing!
- 4.5/5
Location far from airport
- 4.5/5
The location is nice, good situated. It was warm enough in the room given that we stayed in January. The gym is moderate but sufficient for basic training. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
- 3/5
The room was very clean, the hotel overall, was clean too. For some reason, the elevator smell like some kind of fish. I rated with 3 stars cause the location. The only place "near" the hotel it’s the 9/11 memorial, all other tourist location are so far from the hotel!. The location of the hotel looks like very risky if you travel with family. The employees are so kind, and the breakfast it’s a A+
- 5/5
The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable, the room and the bathroom was spacious. The breakfast offered exceeded my expectations. During the weekdays It had a nice spread of eggs, bacon, sausage, yogurt, different breads, yogurts. Some of those items get switched during the week such as bacon and sausage. Different preparations of eggs. On the weekends it's stepped up to include pancakes and toppings for those pancakes plus the eggs and the proteins. That breakfast exceeded what I was expecting. The coffee was good too. Hot chocolate and coffee are available 24 hours a day. I used the gym almost every day of my six nights day, it's adequate to keep you in shape, the rest of your exercise will be done through the city which many of the landmarks are within walking distance. The picture I included in my review is from the window in our room. If you request a room with a view of the Manhattan bridge maybe you'll get one of these rooms too. I recommend this for a short or extended stay in this amazing city.

- 4/5
The breakfast was really good, and I appreciated the coffee and hot chocolate counters since it was so cold. The downside would definitely be the smell in the hallways, and our toilet didnt flush well. They came up and fixed it supposedly, but it never worked well the whole time.
- 2/5
When I checked in I was given a different room than I had reserved. They explained they were oversold. Which is not my problem. They offered no compensation. But the room turned out to be fine. The hotel smelled like there was a dead animal in the wall. It was hard to stand in the hallway or walk to the room bc the smell was so bad. The staff was nice. The doors got locked late night and the room card didn’t open the doors (even though they still worked to open the door to our room). We hit the buzzer multiple times and no staff arrived. Luckily my other son was still in the room and he came and let us in.
- 5/5
The room was in good condition
- 3/5
Staff was courteous. Negatives were substantial. On 5th floor 95 Henry st Ny, constant odor of garbage, clearly not vacuumed every day.Inconsistent heat in 519. Room clean enough but no housekeeping on 12/14. We were out from before noon until 9PM. Fire alarm blinks all night. (Turn the bed!). Dates on stay are incorrect. It was 12/12-15.
- 3/5
The location, room and breakfast are good. While the hallway was full of dead fish smell, even inside the room
- 5/5
Clean room, many breakfast options and amazing staff! They are super friendly and helpful
- 5/5
I loved the fact that I could walk or take transit pretty much anywhere.
- 4/5
Clean room. Good breakfast. A bit further out of NY center but we used metro to visit Times Square, broadway, then central park. Metro station near by.

Location was difficult as it was on lower east side. However staff was great.
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff was very helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a comfortable, safe and economical place to stay. Everything was clean and hygienic. Only thing was there is not a laundry as described but we were not desperate for one, so didn’t really matter - overhead a few people voicing their disappointment.
- 3/5
Smelled like mildew. The train going over the Manhattan bridge every few min was very loud.
- 5/5
Great! Front desk is amazing!
- 5/5
Great and spacious room with good amenities. Love it.
- 4/5
Easy walk to nearby coffee shops, bars and restaurants made this stay convenient and comfortable.
- 5/5
Everything was fine
- 1/5
They told me the $40 would be refunded at checkout. However, at checkout, they told me I was charged the wrong rate and they would now be keeping the $40, and then wanted to charge me even more. I was told only the manager could fix this, however the manager always comes in late and wasn’t there. The hotel is run as a scam bait and switch, and you’re unlikely to get your incidental fees refunded. All who stay there should be cautioned as the rates can change at the whim of the staff, and you can’t trust anything you’re told in advance.
- 5/5
Staff was welcoming and helpful. Everything was very clean.
- 5/5
Estancia cómoda y agradable, el desayuno es bueno, personal amable
- 5/5
Clean facilities. Would book again .

I loved that fact i was by pier 17

Worst moment when you come in late night with your wife, fitst it was midnight the doors from the front were not locked, we proceeded to the elevators and there was a drunk person who did not belong to the building or was a guests who initiated and started spitting at me and the wife said a racial slur and puked all over me...worst moment ever
- 5/5
Property and grounds were satisfactory. The immediate surrounding area was dirty. However great location for my event. I would stay again.

Room would be cleaned but not hoovered. Minor issues reported to staff were not resolved. Location was very good and the rooms are very spacious and all the amenities were in working order. Breakfast is okay but could do with improvement.
- 4/5
It served it's purpose. It is located in China town and isn't too close to the subway.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay
- 5/5
We came to the hotel at noon asking if we could store our bags before check in. The staff was wonderful and was able to get us a room early. They have been helpful and welcoming. We have nothing to complain about. We will stay here again.

Fairfield Inn and Suites is a very good hotel in the heart of China Town. The staff is amazing, the breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. I will definitely be back.

Excellent service. Loved it
- 5/5
The staff was outstanding. Fixed every small issue we had. Great work team and Shawn.
- 4/5
The gym is limited, no weight machines, but they did have a bench with free weights. There was a bad odor outside the gym door.
- 5/5
Sean was so nice. Answered all my questions. I enjoyed my stay overall.

Other hotel guest were smoking right next to the entrance. You can smell the smoke the lobby of the hotel.

I flew into LaGuardia, took the F train, then walked 1 block to this hotel. The staff are great-- professional, respectful and just plain nice. My room was very clean and very quiet. It was convenient to have breakfast downstairs, even though the coffee was luke warm (at best). I had a microwave in my room, so problem solved. The hotel was a short walk to transit, Little Italy and Chinatown. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking to save money and not have to forego all amenities. I would defintely stay here again.

- 4/5
The breakfast is great. location is convenient, the air conditioner is bit noisy,
- 4/5
Price was affordable for the city and the location was great for everything I wanted to see in the city. Would stay here again. The only thing I have to complain about is the toilet chain was broken so I had to manually flush the toiling by pulling the chain up every time. But other than that it was good. Just slept there, showered and ate the complimentary breakfast then back to adventures in the city
- 5/5
Everything was good
- 4/5
Good location
- 5/5
Breakfast sausage was undercooked, milk and eggs were unavailable, and oatmeal was either runny or uncooked. Staff were nice and accommodating.
- 4/5
It was noisy outside at night.
- 4/5
Near a metro station and near a parking that has reasonable pricing compared to other places in new york city. Just like any other metropole, especially near the chinatown, there’s going to be a lot of garbage, weird smells, beggars and drug users, but if I focus on the hotel itself, I would go back because the rooms were clean, breakfast was okay and the prices were reasonable.
- 5/5
Tidy rooms cleaned and new towels everyday. Reception staff very helpful.
- 5/5
I love this place!!!! The staff is nice and helpful and the rooms are clean and comfortable!!! Definitely will be back!!
- 5/5
It was a nice place to stay at.
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and nice. We really enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast was good except for the eggs. They tasted like rubber. But overall would stay here again. Thank you for a memorable experience!
- 4/5
The hotel itself is nice and the staff were AMAZING! It shares a wall with a fish market and the hotel hallways and the whole block smells horrible. The area is not great, not convenient to anything. But overall the hotel is good.
- 5/5
Comfortable and clean. Having breakfast at the hotel was so convenient.
- 5/5
Thank you!
- 5/5
Great customer service .
- 5/5
I stayed in the middle of Times Square the last time I was there, and wanted a little change this time. A quieter, less busier area. This hotel was perfect just for that! The staff were super friendly, breakfast was good and the room was clean! Definitely recommend for anyone who is wanting to stay further away from the hustle and bustle, but still close enough to do everything you want to do! The school crossing guard every morning was even super friendly despite it being freezing out! We can’t wait to come back!

The staff were wonderful and really made our experience great! The room is nice, two queen beds and some space in between. I recommend checking our Scarr's pizza nearby

Sadly the aircon didn't work and i had no sleep due to the noise outside. They need to fix the windows and ideally install double glazing or soudproofing.

- 5/5
The hotel is nice but hard to find. There are lots of trash pick ups nearby streets
- 5/5
Service was great however, property could take some maintenance
- 5/5
Good service and provide luggage storage
- 5/5
Great service and location, close to major attractions.
- 5/5
Nice hotel. The hotel doesn’t have any parking but there are parking lots nearby. Walking distance to dining and the World Trade Center.
- 1/5
It was horrible. Once we’ve arrived in the reception area there was no A/C it was hot. The elevator always had a very strong and unpleasant smell. Even the aisle to go to our room had that smell. That horrible smell was in all the floors because I had to go to another floor to get ice and it had that same smell. The breakfast area did not have any A/C it was hot as hell. The stay there was horrible I would never stay there again.
- 1/5
I read the reviews before booking but I wish I’d read some more, which I did later and found the same problems I had during my stay. We visited during heat wave in NY. The MAJOR problem was the hotel lobby’s AC wasn’t working. Even with portable AC units and fans, it was unbearable. At first I thought this was a one time thing, only to find out on the reviews that over a year ago this has been an issue. The breakfast area was so hot so hot it was impossible to stay in. Juice/water machine wasn’t working during breakfast. Also not working during the busiest hour of the day: elevator 1 out of 2. Finally, before my arrival the hotel sent me an email saying they’d try to accommodate early check ins, to which I sent on the info form saying I’d be there by 10am. Upon arrival I requested the lobby clerk, Ryana, if I could have an early check in. She said the room would be around 1-2 hours, but she couldn’t promise (this was 10am). Although I had requested it beforehand, I understand so I went about the city. When we came back at 2:47pm I requested again and she said it’d be at 3pm only (not only 13min earlier). All the interactions with this staff were passive aggressive, not comfortable or amicable. I do not recommend anything about this hotel, unfortunately not a good experience after many other great ones in NYC before that.
- 5/5
The hotel offered free breakfast and even saved our luggage before and after our stay. Would definitely stay there again in my next visit to NYC. The staff were wonderful.
- 5/5
Nice bridge view from my room; great full breakfast
- 5/5
Area not great, quite dirty and run down. However, didn’t feel unsafe.
- 4/5
The hotel was good, clean room and good breakfast choices. The location was the biggest shortfall. Would not prefer such location next time.
- 1/5
Lobby and Hallways were smelly and without AC. Area around the hotel was ver unkept.
- 4/5
Good place when visiting for the week. Convenient to subway and bus. Not in a busy area but could walk to anything we needed. Room was nice and clean, staff was friendly, housekeeping was thorough. Breakfast was busy at any time so we would take our food to the room. Plus it was extremely hot in the lobby, breakfast areas. Overall, I would stay here again.
- 4/5
The staff was excellent. The location was a little less desirable but the price made up for that. We felt like the pillows made it very difficult to get good rest. The beds could use better quality but overall, good stay.
- 5/5
Typical Fairfield hotel
- 5/5
Close access to the subway. Very safe during daylight hours. Quieter late night when a lot of shops are closed. We walked from the East Broadway subway station back to hotel several times and did fine without any issues. The room was clean and more spacious than similarly priced rooms in midtown. The morning breakfast is definitely a plus!
- 5/5
It was clean, comfortable, and the rate was pretty stellar for NYC. Easy walk to Subway and a range of options. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Loved our 5 days stay in the hotel. We are a family of 4 with 2 young kids, the room was sufficient for us to rest & sleep comfortably. Breakfast spread was good enough for us Muslims. We had omelette, toast, bagels, muffins, fruits, hot drinks, milk, cereals and some other usual stuffs. I particularly wanna thank the housekeeping as they have without failed clean and tidy our room throughout our stay. We truly loved coming back to our room smelling nice and our beds tidy after a long day out strolling in the NYC.
- 2/5
We asked the front staff to mail some postcards for us. Two weeks later they still haven’t arrived.
- 5/5
Good place to stay in China Town. Clean and convenient hotel.
- 2/5
Noisy from subway passing steel bridge.
- 5/5
The rooms were in good condition with expected amenities. Complementary breakfast included and gym if required. Well priced as well for staying in the island, also in walking distance of the lower East side, One World Trade Centre and TriBeCa
- 5/5
Lovely view of Manhattan Bridge from the main Henry Street side of the hotel. The trains were quite noisy (day and night) crossing the bridge, but you soon got used to it. Complimentary breakfast was pleasant. 30 minute rule was good, so nobody could hog the tables. I would visit again, without question.
- 4/5
How far a parking garage is from hotel. The distance of parking garage should be included in description.
- 3/5
Convenient location in the sense of proximity to F train. Short walk to Little Italy. Chinatown location was not great though- next to fish market and you can smell it in the hotel. Definitely an issue with hot water. I read others’ reviews and we had a similar issue. Noise from elevated train that runs on Manhattan Bridge was not an issue, but our room as on the street side. It worked for our stay, but we won’t be staying there again.
- 1/5
The staff on the night shift of Tuesday the 26th was extremely rude. When I said I couldn't wash my hands in that toilet, before I finished my sentence he said "What? You are not capable of washing your hands on your own?" before I could tell him there was no soap. He should be fired. Awful place all in all.
