Nice staff and clean 2 queen beds are on the same platform feels like one extra large bed. Kinda awkward when traveling with family and significant others.

I stayed on the ground floor which was near reception. The door in my room and hall was not a good seal so light and sound came in easily. In fact the window is single pane which meant I heard the noise outside. I even checked a few times to ensure it was not open. The rooftop terrace has some nice views, but there was no bar or anything to encourage me to stay upstairs for long. It is in a location I know very well and like that it’s clean and near transportation and Chinatown.

- 1/5
The attention of the reception was dehumanized!! He knocked on the door that I had to go out that it was already time and I told him to give me a few minutes that I had just been operated on that I was already leaving and he didn't care and he told me to leave in 10 minutes! It was rude and rude, but the room was given to me in low silver and the doors threw them horrible and didn't let me sleep!
- 5/5
No full mirrror or other mirror was provided other than the one in the restroom, it made it very difficult for 3 girls to get ready. Coffee could improve to a better quality as well as the guest services and cleaning services our 2nd to last night beds were not made properly and trash was not removed. Other than that everything went smooth
- 5/5
Todo perfecto

Clean They couldn't get their key-card maker to work, then gave us a key to someone else's room.

- 5/5
Great hotel with friendly staff. It's not a lot of space, but the bathroom is a good size and the water pressure in the shower was good. It's a comfortable place to stay, in a good location, and usually at a decent price for NY.
- 1/5
Room was very small, air conditioning sucks. The continental breakfast was trash. Zero protein available. The place smelt awful.
- 5/5
Very clean rooms, friendly knowledgeable staff. Would stay again
- 4/5
Clean room nice people great location

Breakfast nice. Heat was nice too.
- 4/5
The breakfast was kinda good

Friendly staff. Clean and cozy rooms. Thank you!
- 4/5
It was nice but the room was to small
- 5/5
I was so amazed at this property. I loved my room and it was not cramped very spaced out. I had my daughter with me and we had enough room for my things and hers. The beds were comfortable, bathroom very nice. I requested some extra things and was brought to me immediately. I will stay here again it was also very close to China town and Catz restaurant which I love. Very clean also.
- 5/5
Absolutely no complaints. Very nice, clean, convenient, affordable. Unbelievable value for NYC. And fabulous value even if it were in other cities. No complaints!!
- 5/5
Fabulous price for NYC. Slightly loud with the bridge traffic so close, but not unexpected for the city. Very clean, bright. The only draw back is that people outside the room can hear every word inside. I heard conversations on telephones or with others in the room while in the hallway (only my neighbor across the hall while in my room, but they had exceptionally loud conversations). Maybe a rug in the bedrooms would have muffled the sound a bit? Other than that, not a single complaint. Excellent overall.
- 4/5
We were “upgraded“ to a top floor suite. Sounded great but was also a bit odd. The beds were shorter than normal to accommodate the shape of the room? But the room was clean and comfortable and the view from what became the shared balcony was amazing. Was the second time staying there and still think it is a solid choice and decent hotel when staying in the city
- 5/5
Our stay was lovely we arrived earlier than check in and they held our bags until we came back for check in. The room was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.
- 3/5
The room was clean (a little bit small) but very cozy and suited our needs. The breakfast was nice and it included banana muffins, hot and beverages, bagels, cereal (6 AM - 10 AM). Staff was friendly. We were able to leave our bags with the hotel after we checked out at 11 AM. The bed sheets had some stains. The bathroom in the room had towels, hair dryer, and shampoo/conditioner/body wash. The area was walkable and near a subway station, and shops.
- 2/5
Overall this hotel was fine, but I am extremely confused how it has such a high rating and positive reviews. The room was not very clean and it was essentially just a bed. Very underwhelming for the price.
- 4/5
good hotel for the price, pleasant staff, clean small modern room, nice complementary breakfast
- 3/5
I wanted to give them a 5 star rating, but... when we checked in, the room we got was literally in the lobby area so it was very loud all night long, minus the sirens and such of NYC, which isn't anything to complain about, that's just NYC sounds... between the front desk staff talking and whistling and a young child screaming at the top of her lungs from midnight until 3am it was one of the more torturous sleeps I've had in a while. The breakfast was all processed foods, so we didn't eat it. Our room had leftover luggage in it when we arrived. The room seemed very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Try to not be on the 1st floor if you stay here would be my advise. Great places to eat and within walking distance of a lot of interesting things!
- 5/5
Near China Town, a subway, clean place and very nice
- 3/5
The hotel was OK - it has a good location and a close walk to the LES. The rooms are outdated with very little amenities. However, the bed was comfortable and the water pressure quite decent. Please note that it's right by the bridge and the train lines, so it can get quite noisy depending on the room selection.
- 5/5
Room was spotless, staff at front desk a young woman was pleasant to interact with. No complaints from me, stayed to avoid traveling in blizzard.
- 5/5
Awesome location, clean and adequate spacious room.
- 4/5
Clean room and was reasonably quiet
- 3/5
The room was modest but comfortable for two people. The bed sheets had a peculiar yellow stain, so I decided to leave them aside and avoid sleeping in them. I was given a room on the first floor, right next to the lobby and in front of the elevator. While this location was convenient, I found it inconvenient because I could hear every noise coming from the lobby, including the commotion that was happening there, especially on Saturday night when there was some sort of issue with the police. Despite the noise, I appreciated the daily room service and the trash removal. The hotel was located near some train tracks, so I often heard the train. Overall, my stay was okay.
- 4/5
Not the best area, but hotel was clean n safe, very comfortable, great staff
- 5/5
We really didn’t encounter anything bad or uncomfortable. It was overall a good stay 👍
- 3/5
No so much, some towels were broken, first day the elevator diden´t work, but the staff was nice
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly & helpful. The room was spacious & clean.
- 5/5
Loved it. Friendly staff & so close to the subway!
- 5/5
clean room, staff are friendly and accomodating
- 4/5
This was a great affordable option for our stay! The staff were helpful and it offers continental breakfast. The only issue was that the toilet had trouble flushing and the water would run for a while.
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
- 1/5
I was there for one night I need been ask for a copy of my credit card at any hotel. The room was so cold the heat wasn’t going higher than 62 degrees on the thermometer the tube was clogged when I took a shower the water stay inside
- 3/5
I didn’t pay attention to the square footage when I booked. The room was so small. But it was still nice.
- 4/5
Clean room exactly what I expected and have nothing but a great experience
- 5/5
From our check in until our check out, my family and I had a great stay! Hotel is modest but perfect for a few nights in NYC. We were there to sight see before Christmas and the location was very convenient to get to the subways. Roof top Suite was a perfect spot for my husband and I and our two sons. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
- 5/5
Wonderful !
- 5/5
Great cost friendly hotel
- 3/5
room was fine. staff was not helpful
- 5/5
Loved the stay
- 2/5
No safe for belongings, no coffee, limited hangers, no space for clothes. Room wasn’t nice and there was damage in places (such as the outlet). Lobby was unwelcoming and didn’t have food options. Complimentary breakfast was not good
- 5/5
Nice
- 4/5
Only that have to put $200 deposit even though room is paid off thru making reservation online, I guess that what the hotel policy here in New Your, in Barcelona no security deposit
- 3/5
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was extremely cold but was clean. It is close to a subway station providing easy access to other areas.
- 3/5
When they showed up, not apology, no acknowledgment of their being gone or anything...
- 5/5
Clean and cozy room, close to MTA
- 5/5
Clean and served basics
- 5/5
The room was beautiful very spacious. It was right down the street from the subway 12 minutes to get 2 times Square everything was perfect.
- 4/5
The place was good. Excellent view to the Manhattan Bridge at their Rooftop.
- 4/5
I thought it was a reasonable price for Manhattan. And it was just three blocks from the F Subway, which was very convenient. My specific room was extremely extremely small. The bed was a Full Size and took up half the room. The bathroom was a decent size though, and was the best part about the entire room. The breakfast options were only okay. There was no variation from day to day, so if you're there multiple days, you're eating the same thing day after day. Maybe just mix up the muffin or yogurt choices a little, so there's variety. The coffee was probably the worst though. It was very weak, to the point that you couldn't smell that they even made coffee and it tasted more like lukewarm water. Someone else needs to brew it there, and make it strong enough so that it actually tastes like coffee. Overall I gave the hotel a 3 out of 5. The best part was the price and convenience of the subway. The rest was just okay if not a little disappointing.
- 3/5
Location great, room very small
- 3/5
Maybe it’s a NY thing, but workers are rude. The place was a 6/10
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Small but clean, well maintained, and well appointed!
- 4/5
Good and cleaned
- 3/5
The room was clean. The coffee maker did not work. I told the front desk. There was no creamer or spoons for stirring the coffee or tea. Tiny thing —would have been nice to have available. Very minimal amenities and information in the room.
- 5/5
Clean, convenient, and a great stay overall!
- 5/5
Great room. Good location.
- 4/5
It was a pretty good stay overall. Just that the receptionist was very mean, kind of having a hard day and putting that on customers. We booked 2 rooms. In one of the rooms, the bathroom water couldn’t come out from top to take a shower. The hand used to facilitate water exit from the shower did not work. Other than that this is a good place to stay.
- 2/5
People should be notified of a ground floor room with a window to the street. I did not feel safe, and it was very noisy.
- 4/5
Está a una cuadra del Sudwey…y te da mucha movilidad a todo Manhattan y alrededores, también está a media cuadra de una estación de bus.
- 4/5
Sometimes as an American I am embarrassed by what American hotels offer their guests for breakfast. And this was one of those times. It was really sub-par. Just highly processed foods packaged in plastic and tasteless apples.
- 4/5
Small but clean room, very friendly staff. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, ok for day walking but I’d be indoors by dark. Location is within walking distance to attractions like the Brooklyn Bridge and 9/11 Memorial.
- 5/5
Nice little hotel.
- 4/5
All fine
- 5/5
Loved it here! Convenient & felt safe with my family. Great price! Also walking distance from Golden Diner NY!
- 4/5
The staff is friendly, and communicating via the app is super easy. They upgraded us without us asking, and they were always responsive to our requests.
- 1/5
Not at all like it's described on hotels, com. We stayed one night out of the six booked and moved to a different hotel. Even though, there was no refund, and we lost money, we couldn't stay there. We didn't feel safe. The closest parking is four blocks away and it is sketchy.
- 5/5
GREAT LOCATION!
- 4/5
Broken faucet handle in our room. Simple light breakfast but I wish they could have served at least 1 protein like eggs. During our stay, it was all carbs- bread, bagel, muffins.
- 4/5
I’d stay again!
- 4/5
We were first time tourists. I was warned rooms in Manhattan are small and expensive. This hotel was on the lower end of the cost scale. Breakfast was sub par, in my opinion (just eat out at a bagel place). Easy access to the subway which was really user friendly with the MTA phone APP. Great location for seeing the statue of Liberty, 9/11 Memorial & other lower Manhattan sites while still being only a 30 minute ride to central park. My wife and I never had one experience where we felt in danger (although a local told us not to stand too near the subway tracks to avoid being pushed onto the tracks). We didn't like the neighborhood dining choices, but found food we liked when site seeing. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again.
- 4/5
Close to subway, lots of great restaurants in walking distance. Rooms fine, small but comfortable and clean. My only complaint is there was not a coffee machine in my room, and the description says it’s included. Not a big deal if you don’t mind talking to other humans before you’ve had coffee because it’s available for free in the basement with other breakfast options.
- 2/5
The room is super small and we could hear the neighbors snore and talk. It was not a pleasant experience. It wouldn't recommend this place.
- 1/5
There were roaches in my room.
- 2/5
I could not sleep at all. Someone was having a conference all right outside my door the whole night.
- 5/5
Small room but as expected for Manhattan, and it was good quality bedding, towels etc. Walked to Chinatown and Little Italy from here, no problem.
- 5/5
This hotel was perfect for what we needed- a place to sleep and shower while we visited our son in the neighborhood. The bed was cozy, the shower hot with great water pressure, the staff was very nice and the place was clean. We'll be back!
- 4/5
Overall decent place to stay
- 5/5
I had a great experience and would recommend. Beds were comfortable and clean, staff was nice, included breakfast was a great plus. It was affordable considering the area and the prices on the date I travelled.
- 4/5
Near Chinatown area, provide breakfast, and clean room
- 5/5
It was a great experience staying at Madison , they are so welcoming and know how to treat their guest well. Will definitely stay there again whenever I am in New York
- 4/5
We weren’t sure about the neighbourhood when we first arrived, but it turned out to be fine. Lots of restaurants, convenient. I wouldn’t recommend walking around alone at night, but otherwise it was fine.
- 3/5
Good position, the lady at the desk the day I arrived was extremely rude for no reason, the other people working there were polite.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
My room was cleaned everyday. Rooms are a bit small for two persons
- 3/5
It is a safe and convenient location hotel
- 5/5
Loved the place hotel and the staffs
- 3/5
Just enough to get by… nothing outstanding.
- 4/5
the door of restroom cannot lock!
- 2/5
It's a place where you can only sleep, and the bed is small. If you have claustrophobia, it might be too small and shocking. And even after midnight, you can still hear people talking in the next room.
- 5/5
Good value for the money. A lot of dining options within walking distance
- 5/5
Accessibility
- 5/5
...
- 5/5
Bed comfort and cleaning so god
- 4/5
Great value if you want to stay in Manhattan.
- 3/5
Be prepared to pay extra when you check in. There was a $68 rate acceptance fee that no one mentioned. I won't be using Expedia anymore for booking hotels. Also room has outlets with no plates, dirty windows, really bad breakfast.
- 1/5
Had a disappointing stay. I requested and booked a room upgrade a week in advance for an extra guest, but it wasn’t available on arrival. Staff didn’t apologize or acknowledge the issue. They added an air bed to a tight room—very uncomfortable. One of the three rooms we booked had a broken bathroom lock and no working AC. A portable unit sat on the desk, taking up space. Breakfast is very basic—just the name. We did get a new room the next day, but when we asked about early check-in, staff bluntly said “3pm” with no apology. Messed up our plans for the trip as we had to go back to change the room. No effort to fix their mistake. Never coming back. Worst customer service.
- 4/5
A good deal for the price on a short 3 day notice
- 4/5
It was a good place to stay not a bad area was close to the train station to go to Time square it was close to Little Italy very nice area Chinese food was good. I loved it.
- 4/5
Its close and accessible to locations ( purpose of visit ). thanks
- 2/5
Too small room space
- 4/5
It was a good hotel but amenities and services could have been better.
- 3/5
They had baggage keeping option even after checking out to aid sight seeing, which was great!
- 5/5
I loved the place highly recommended
- 4/5
Good
- 4/5
Breakfast was better than we expected. Nothing fancy though, but for an American hotel it was good. Location was good as subway was close. Area was bit shady though.
- 5/5
Stay was good
- 3/5
Close to subway station, room is very small 2 double beds both against walls barely enough room to move. Bath small only one mirror in bathroom no additional mirrors or full length mirror so difficult to have multiple people get ready at the same time. No peep hole on door.
- 5/5
Great staff. Convenient to restaurants and the louvre.
- 5/5
Service provided by receptionist Ting was excellent and very polite .
- 4/5
Air conditioning unit did not cool room. We were hot all night.
- 3/5
I would recommend this place for quick trips to LES but if you have an extended stay definitely find a place that has a little more room.
- 4/5
I went on a 2-night trip with my 2 cousins. Location is amazing! Located at the beginning of Chinatown but not far from Downtown, Canal St., Times Square, etc. My cousins and I used Uber for transportation and walked around to closer places. When we first got there we were waiting in the lobby for about 10 minutes before someone came and serviced us. I do wish the workers were more available and you didnt have to hunt them down. They have some drinks and snacks at the front lobby, pretty basic. They have a rooftop terrace with AMAZING views of the Manhattan Bridge and the city. The rooms are a bit small but we all brought 1 small carry-on luggage and there was enough room for our stuff. Our room did not have a closet or drawers which would have helped with storage, so we just kept our stuff in our bags. Bathroom is a bit small but clean. The breakfast is…..continental so theres not a wide variety of options and pretty basic. You’re better off going to Golden Diner down the street but they are pretty popular and always packed. There are some good delis and food spots nearby. Overall this is a pretty good spot for a short stay, and convenient location! 7/10 would stay again!
- 4/5
It’s great!
- 5/5
Great location, nice and clean room
- 2/5
Small room , doors do not block sound from corridor
- 4/5
Liked the value - low cost given the desired location. Did not like the absence of in-room microwave and in-room minifridge.
- 3/5
Looks good, location is a bit noisy
- 3/5
Very nice hotel in Chinatown. There was a strong odor of mold in the bathroom, and the bathroom floor felt spongy from being wet for so long. The front desk personnel were efficient and pleasant
- 5/5
nice
- 2/5
The hotel was very clean and the area felt safe. It was very close to the subway. The room door was very difficult to open.
- 5/5
Great location. Helpful staff. Good breakfast
- 5/5
If your looking for a clean and tidy quick place to sleep this is it. Not fancy, but nice and just what we wanted. After 10pm not so pleasant outdoors and train is close but still we would go back for the quality, price and convenience.
- 5/5
It was a great stay! The room was Asian style with the bed layout, but it was really comfortable, and was roomy enough. The location is really good, at the southern edge of Chinatown. I would stay there again.
- 5/5
The room was, very clean and it was quiet and the staff was very courteous.
- 4/5
Train noise noticable.
- 1/5
Unkept. Gross room. Photocopy of my credit card and credentials at the front desk for “security reasons”
- 3/5
we stayed at the first floor and could hear the conversation from next room easily
- 5/5
Really nice place. Near Chinatown. Lots of stuff to do and easily accessible with public transport. The only think of that the room is really tiny. One double bed with hardly any other space
- 5/5
This was our second time staying at Madison LES. The room was clean and the staff nice. We would come back!
- 4/5
Front desk very good
- 5/5
Very friendly staff
- 2/5
Poorly maintained. Breakfast horrible. Coffe so bad, I had to through it in carnage after first sip. Staff not friendly
- 5/5
The staff were kind and efficient. The rooms clean and well-maintained, just a little small, but it’s ok for NYC! We enjoyed the Chinese neighborhood, it was interesting to see the daily life of the people and felt safe and was clean. The breakfast was ok.
- 4/5
Okay
- 3/5
The most important thing is that the hotel was clean.
- 4/5
Nice place
- 5/5
Friendly stuff and room was clean
- 4/5
The tv was having issues, maybe batteries in the remote. Otherwise, very spacious hotel, friendly staff and one block from the F train. Accomodating for late checkout and stored our luggage before check in. Free breakfast, but pretty basic.
- 5/5
Fine
- 5/5
It’s a walkable distance to the Brooklyn Bridge
- 1/5
It was one of the most rude and unprofessional customer service experiences I've ever had.
- 5/5
Was looking for an inexpensive, clean, no frills hotel for a 1 night stay with some friends, while we were in town to eat at Peter Lugers and see a Yankees game. I got just that! Would absolutely stay here again!
- 4/5
Everything in the hotel was really good, nice staff, clean places and daily room service. Breakfast was too simple, just waffle/bread, some fruit and coffee.
- 5/5
The hotel is clean and comfortable, if a bit spartan. Location is great for exploring the lower half of Manhattan. Very convenient to the subway. I look forward to returning.
- 5/5
Excellent location and fine accommodations for the price. Self-service breakfast included. Clean and nicely decorated. The rooftop area is a nice place to see the lights of the Manhattan Bridge. We've stayed there twice and will definitely return.
- 5/5
Nice staff and clean hotel
- 3/5
Clean and safe. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Room ok for one person only as small and not much room for suitcases. Moose off the Brooklyn bridge at the rear takes getting used to .
- 5/5
Great location and rooftop view! Clean and just what you need.
- 5/5
I like that it was clean and staff was friendly
- 3/5
Location is good, if you like LES and being close to Brooklyn. It's nice to grab a quick breakfast in the basement before leaving for the day. I gave this rating because when we checked out the lady at the front desk told us we would be charged for another full night if we were even 1 minute late checking out. That is absurd and poor customer service. Would not stay at Madison LES again.
- 2/5
The bed is too short.
- 4/5
It was great to stay
- 5/5
It's a very good place to stay for a nice price. Close to the subway station. Clean hotel and friendly staff. The breakfast is simple but there is also a supermarket nearby to buy a few things to complete for a good breakfast. I would definitely go back. Thank you guys.
- 4/5
The room was clean and small, as advertised. They let us store our stuff when we got there before checkin and they sell inexpensive bottled water in the lobby, so that was nice. If you need a stay downtown, this is a good one.
- 1/5
The reception staff are not the most friendly people. They ensure that they start and end your stay with on a really bitter note. When going for a lower cost hotel you expect to get less in terms of offering but I don’t feel because I have not paid top dollar, I should be treated like trash. Honestly I would recommend you all take your business elsewhere. Even if you pay a little bit more, it’s worth it. The location in China town is also not ideal and you end up being quite far from a lot of places.
- 3/5
The heat didn’t work in the room. It was cold that night outside then had to come into a cold room
- 5/5
Good location and reasonable price.
- 4/5
Great location, no frills but clean, the desk staff
- 3/5
Breakfast was as basic as I’ve seen- coffee, juice, yogurt, cold cereal, bagels (not the NY kind)), fruit, and English muffins. Location was near Chinatown and close to F line of subway. We asked them to hold our bags for us after checkout and were told it would be $6 per bag if we didn’t get them by 5pm. (never had this happen at a hotel) Some staff friendly, some not (particularly front desk).
- 4/5
We have a great experience walking around to iconic places and eat some diversity food. Good prices and amazing taste. We definitely be back to the hotel.
- 3/5
It was ok. The staff were great. However the hotel itself was lacking in amenities. The tv and heating system was difficult to work.
- 4/5
Perfect for a work trip. Very clean as well & quiet. Took the shower a long time to heat up.
- 4/5
Clean, spacious, and comfortable room. The neighborhood is no so nice but once you’re in it’s a good value.
- 4/5
Excellent location to Chinatown & Little Italy
- 5/5
Clean hotel very nice staff!
