I like a lot about this property, however there was a couple negatives. The shower is built so that you have to go all the way in to turn it on, so enjoy that burst of cold water before it gets warm. The next negative was the elevator breaking for 2 days, it was working by the time i checked out so i luckily didnt have to bring my luggage down 3 flights of stairs. Other than that, its a great place to stay. Studio style. The kitchen, office, living, and bed all in one space. Toilet and shower are separate than the vanity. The light/mirror in the vanity is a dream for anyone putting makeup on for their day. My room was diagonal from the elevator and right next to the stairs and the soundproof works! The only sound was from people knocking on doors and the shutting of doors. The hotel is located across from a highschool and you cant hear the early traffic. Unless you open the windows which is convenient if youre cooking and want fresh air. Also located close to the freeway, mall, restaurants, has bus transportation, and a movie theater all walking distance. Parking is free and i noticed it gets filled up by 6pm. They offer breakfast and a social hour. The food was simple but good! Not 5 star but I was satisfied. Security is basic but i felt safe at all times, every door is key card entry. I also appreciated that I could have the blinds open and not feel like people could just watch me from the street. I would stay here again anytime!

Clean. Convenient location. Great breakfast. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suites. Wish one of the bedrooms had 2 full beds instead of one queen., and the other had a King bed. The queen bed felt like a full. Other than the mattress sizes, everything else was wonderful!

I love this hotel! I’ve stayed at Homewood Suites before because it’s my favorite! They have amazing breakfast and this one had dinner Monday-Thursday. I gave 4 starts because we had the one bedroom and the only bathroom was in that bedroom and the door to the room was small double doors which left a seam in the middle that you could see through. If I were traveling with my husband, I would have been mad. But I still love this hotel because of its beauty, service and food! Staff was amazing as well!!

We had to get out of our house for a few days due to renovations and so we came in with our dog and cat. I booked through Hotels.com and there was an issue when I checked in - the wrong type of room was sent over to the hotel. After showing my confirmation on my phone, the staff immediately upgraded my room type to what I had in my confirmation, without question. I really appreciated it! The free dinner and breakfast made it a great stay.

I stayed at the hotel while visiting nearby colleges for my daughter. The hotel is very clean. Everyone was friendly. The surrounding area was okay, nothing bad but really nothing to do either but it was only about a half hour to San Jose. The WiFi didn't seem to work that well but I really did not expect it to since most hotels WiFi is not the best. The breakfast was decent. I would definitely stay again.

I love staying at Homewood Suites. The mattresses are the main reason but also the hot breakfasts and the little snack with beer and wine during the week. Yes, you pay a little more for the hotel but always worth it. I also like the decor of the hotels and the rooms. Always updated and modern but with a warmth.

It was fantastic.. my wife and I got some good quality time in while I was able to work. In the future I will always use Homewood Suites. They serve a buffet breakfast and a buffet dinner... that's all included in your stay.. comfortable beds.. ample bedding.. nice ambiance with the fireplace... kitchen.. they also accept pets.. my poor pup just had surgery and he was comfy also. Park across the parking lot figr pups to go potty. . Simply awesome!!!!

Beautiful spacious room, The kitchen was larger than mine at home. The breakfast buffet was great. Not your average “free breakfast”. Lots of options and many staff members cleaning and refilling food. Other than the spa being under construction, it was a perfect visit. I will be back!

Walking distance to the Newpark Mall and so very many restaurants in the area. Great breakfast and comfortable place to hang out. The only downfall is the tiny fitness room.

The last time we had bottle of water as well as a bag of popcorn. I was slightly disappointed not to find those things. I counted on it.

Overall my family and I had a great experience at the hotel. Breakfast was great, with many options. Sofa bed was very uncomfortable and extra blanket provided was very stiff and scratchy. Also, water pressure in the sink and shower was incredibly light.

Check in bad customer service...no information about breakfast..hotel booked for 3 people and was given only one card key...no clear directions as where room was...when we arrived to check in the guy was in away from desk, when i realized i was given one card key and i came back to get atleast one more the guy was not at his desk again...waited 10 minutes for him and this was around midnight

Good location. Rooms were all clean, fireplace was nice and even had ice in freezer.

It was a nuisance with parking because of a large trash container taking up half the back parking.

Oh, what a wonderful stay I had. After busy whole week conference in noisy, busy San Francisco, this hotel gave me very quite, comfortable home coming feeling. I wish I could stay much longer. Staff, here, is very friendly, there were there whey you need.

Room was amazing and spacious. Kids had so much fun at the pool, and having a kitchen in the room with all the supplies stocked was a great suprise. will definitely stay here again.

Overall happy with my stay

This seems like a lower quality Marriott Residence Inn hotel. Bed was toooo soft and gave me a backache that hasn't subsided yet. Staff was nice.

The room is small, ok clean; air conditioner is unnecessarily cold! Even in the corridor. Super slow internet, and ask for upgrade to get reasonable speed. Ridiculous! Go check out the Chase Hotel and Suites for same or cheaper price but way better service, and way bigger room!

Very dated, not like other Homewood Suites I have stayed, but OK. We were only there for one night.

Super fast check-in. Staff excellent. Computer (free service) a bit slow. Never did figure out tv controls and menu. Reading light on one side of bed didn't work (reported to hotel and they said they were going to fix it). But all else was great. I'm critically minded so wanted to report issues but very happy with my stay. So clean!!!! Rooms also super quiet and window treatments provided really good darkness for sleeping in the morning. Breakfast service fantastic for a hotel. Loved my stay.

Check in was easy. Breakfast buffet was excellent with hot food. Eggs, sausages and waffles made my daughter happy. There was also fresh fruit and yogurt. Hotel was quiet. Neighborhood was a shopping mall.

my wife and I have stayed here many times and have enjoyed the stay. the staff is very friendly and the hotel is clean. the breakfast's were great everyday. we have the two bedroom suite which helps our daughter-in-law to sleep good after 3 days of tests. thanks for a great stay Homewood. we will be back. I would recommend this hotel to anyone for a great stay.

Very nice hotel, close proximity to many main attractions, will definitely stay again

The only slightly negative thing I would have to say about it is that there wasn't much in the way of dining and entertainment within walking distance. My husband and I went with another couple and we didn't want to have to drive if we were going to be partaking in nightly activities. We made do and walked a bit to the BJ's Restaurant that was on the other side of the mall. No biggie. We love that restaurant. The room we were given was a handicapped room, which is probably why it was so spacious, but it accommodated us too. There was a kitchen with everything you'd need if you were staying more than a few days: refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, dishes, utensils. It was awesome! I'd recommend this hotel to anyone. It's a good one.

The stay was as great as it could be. The kitchen was wonderful to have as my girlfriend really enjoyed cooking for once instead of having to eat out. The continental breakfast was superb. The different available choices made it even better. The neighborhood of the hotel, having the Newpark mall closeby and other restaurants and stores made the location a great spot. Unfortunately the TV didn't have a wide range of channels but we mostly watched movies with our DVD anyways. It's definitely a place worth going to again and again.

We had a fireplace and kitchen which was awesome! The bedroom was behind closed doors which gave the feel of an apartment. We loved all of it.

We come home each year for Xmas. We stayed 8 nights and it was clean quiet and very convenient. We will stay here again next year!

Our two bedroom suite was perfect. Very comfortable and clean, with all the amenities for the kitchenette.

First, I overpaid for a regular small room, when in actuality, room set up as apartments and or rooms that are bigger, were priced cheaper than what I actually paid for. They couldn't reimburse me for paying more for a smaller room. They had me switched over to a room set up studio style. Bed had hair on linen. Wrinkled bed sheets like if someone was just sleeping in it. The hallway to room was so congested. Need upgrade. Sofa torn. Table was super sticky. AND no WIFI!!! I couldn't connect at all in the comfort of my own room. Complained about the hairs on linen. Receptionist told me we could change, but it would be to a same set up. Wasn't already happy with being overcharged through hotel.com. We didn't change because we had already brought up our heavy bags. Too much of a hassle. Breakfast was ok, but the eggs were too runny, carton eggs. I didn't eat it. Staff were pleasant. If I stay in this city again, maybe this hotel will be my 2nd or 3rd option.

We have stayed at Homewood Suite several times and that is why we booked this trip. During our first weekend there upon checking out we told the desk about the noisy air conditioner which vibrated loudly in room 410. the next weekend we were there we got the same room and guess what, the AC was the same. We love the layout of the room and it is very comfortable with the kitchen and couch area. The beds don't appear to be queen size however. Not sure at this time about our next trip to that area of we will book Homewood again. The front desk personal, breakfast personnel and maids are all great!!!

this is a great hotel, the staff is very friendly and helpful! the hotel is located right next to a mall and within driving distance of a BART station. very nice swimming pool and they have a great breakfast in the morning.

Not much to choose from in Newark, I would stay in the full service Hilton next time..

Also, hot tub only available til 10. A little early. Overall, new remodel is nice but workout room is not awesome. Breakfast in morning is above average and would be better without tv on while trying to eat in dining room. Also had to park away from room and was given 4th floor without a dolly or cart to transport everything up alone. Probably would not stay there again.

THIS PLACE IS JUST FANTASTIC. WE JUST LOVE THE ROOM AND CLOSE TO EVERYTHING. WE WILL BE BACK FOR SURE. STAFF IS ONE OF THE BEST WE HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. THANKS AGAIN.

Two bedroom suite provided privacy for my wife and me and my father, who requires C-PAP. The refrigerator, microwave, range and cooking supplies were nice conveniences.

Great place for kids, especially with weekday breakfast AND dinner. Business center in a cozy den with fireplace. Free WiFi that is really free. Nice courtyard on warm days and easy walking distance to mall.

Pleasantly surprised! I stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bath suite. It was very comfortable, very nice size rooms with all the amenities. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, plates, silverware. We had a Fridge, microwave and even a dishwasher. TVs in the rooms and in the Living Room. It was a very nice experience, I would recommend for sure!

The hotel is nice and the room was ok.Breakfast selection was ok.Now for the negativ stuff. Smoking is allowed in rooms so in the hallways it smells and when you want to sit outside there is always a smoker nearby. Breakfast room was to small and too loud. In the two days we stayed the hotel was crowded with children running and yelling. Would not recommend when seeking some quiet, relaxed place to stay over the weekend.

Excellent stay! We had the 2 bedroom, 2 bath with a Queen Sofa Bed, very good breakfast daily, good dinner (T-Th). What more can you ask for? Perfect location. I will be back! Homewood Suites is my hotel of choice!

I stayed for 14 nights and the Homewood Suites are a wonderful home away from home! Service 5 Stars as well as maintenance, cleanliness,the neighbourhood which was extremely quiet, and also the location of the Homewood Suites in Newark where I had everything I needed around including a shopping mall where I was in less as 2 minutes walking time from the door of my room until the door of the shopping mall. Only thing I did not like was that my room was next to the elevators room where I could here every 2 minutes the noise of the elevators so that took 1 star off from the comfort I had in the room. Next time I hope to get a different room and I am sure it will get also a 5 star rating for comfort!

the location of the hotel to Sanford Unv, is great for the price. This is the second time we have stayed here and it is still great. the hotel and room were clean and the hotel staff were great. the breakfast was good and surrounding area have everything you want, malls and eating places. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good, spacious suite. Love the one bedroom suite with office. Good for the 4 of us. The sofa bed was the only disappointing thing. It was not comfortable at all. The bed in the bedroom was just ok. Sheet used for sofa bed smelt damp during the first use, may be because it was not dried enough before it was placed in a plastic storage bag. Towels were clean. Breakfast was good also.

great hotel, everthing you need for a great weekend in one room. i booked the studio room,which comes with a full kitchen(even a oven and dishwasher),a small dining area,a couch and writing desk, free wi-fi and a nice big t.v. the bathroom was hice and big,they could use some new shower heads ,but all and all nice. the room has a nice queen bed and blackout curtians. the hotel is right across from a mall with ton of fast food res. so you dont have to go far. the staff at the hotel were great and their breakfast buffet was one of the best i seen! i would stay here again!!!

The sheets smelled like BO. Use some bleach... Over priced and unexplained incidental charges. I will think twice before using this facility again. They will miss out on my six stays a month.

We had an excellent experience after we finally got checked in. We had a last minute trip scheduled and had my parents book the hotel however when we arrived the gentleman working the counter was quite rude when we began to help us. My room had been booked and my mom called to verify and everything was fine until I got there and they asked for a credit card to place on the account for the room. That reason was one of which my mom called because I don't have a credit/debit card and she wanted to make sure we would be able to check in, the man was rude and treated us like we're weren't good enough to stay there. The only person I was with put it on her debit card and we were able to stay. My biggest and only complaint is it doesn't matte how nice it business is you need treat a customer the way we were. Just because I dot have a credit card doesn't mean I don't have money I had roughly over 5 hundred dollars with me for the event we were attending and I've never been made to feel so worthless as he made us. Otherwise the hotel was beautiful.

I told the front desk when we checked out in the morning about the elevator, etc and she was going to have a manager to contact us but have yet receive any call back from the hotel. One more thing - didn't know that we cannot get Hilton points because we booked the hotel from Expedia... this is news to me !!
