Room was fairly clean, as far as motel rooms go. I liked how each room has its own unique decor - made it feel home-y. Parking is free, which is a plus compared to motels closer to the falls. The owners are great at accommodating special requests, like I mentioned a bar fridge with a freezer being important to me, and they made sure I got a room with a larger freezer. I would like to see a deadbolt added to the door for extra security, or one of those bars that flips across. In the room I stayed in, there's just a doorknob lock that you turn. I was there in late September with temps in the mid 20s. The provided fan was adequate. Don't know how it would be in July, as there's no air conditioner. Also, a box of Kleenex would be a nice touch to add to the room : ). But in most respects, a real decent place to stay!

Enjoyed our stay.

We had a great stay. Clean, comfy, well located for short drives to local attractions. Our room's decor was fun; we had a small table with a couple chairs both inside & outside the room, which was nice for snacking. Nice bathroom.

I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!!! Room could have been a little cleaner and the air a little cooler, but overall it was a great place to stay!!!
- 5/5
Great communication with the host. He made arrangements for fast check-in after hours. Very accomodating. Place was super clean and decorative. Was a fantastic place to stay near Niagara Falls.

Clean and good
- 5/5
It was a clean accomodation.
- 4/5
Nice short stay to visit the Falls! Room was clean. No in-unit AC or heat. Thankfully we had good weather while there but don’t know how hot/cold it would be in different seasons. Bed wasn’t very comfortable (as expected). Helpful to have in room mini fridge. Convenient 5 min drive to the Falls area. Property owner is a nice man!
- 3/5
Although renovated and clean, the room was small with a smaller TV but did enjoy a fridge, microwave and toaster oven. No air and adjacent a busy road.
- 4/5
Basic Motel. Did not like that you can't control your own A/C.
- 3/5
The motel was nice in general, and the room was alright despite being small. There is no AC unit in the room. The motel has some sort of central air system, but it's not good. The motel is on a main road, and it was noisy from all of the passing cars. This motel is self check in and self check out. The motel is far from the falls.

Nice lil motel
- 5/5
A great stay as always. I will be back. A no frills hotel which is just what I like.
- 5/5
The Rex Motel was Absolutely Beautiful inside and such a close drive to Niagara Falls and Clifton Hill. Next time we visit we will stay at the Rex Motel again. It was so so so much nicer than the hotel we stayed at in NY. It was VERY clean, and very close to attractions along with places to eat. If I could give it more that 5 stars I would. We absolutely loved it here. We did have a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room which was so great to have. There was also a 2 person seating area with a nice table for meals.
- 4/5
Odd contact with owner, met outside. No contols for AC.
- 4/5
This old roadside motel has been kept clean and cared for. There is nothing over the top at this resaonably priced motel, but its clean and covers all the basics. Microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, tv, clean towels & linens, some basic toiletries are all in the room.
- 5/5
Everything was clean and there were no smells. Bathroom was very clean. Large king bed. Small table to sit at. There was a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. You were not able to control the AC as it is Central for all of the units. However, the rooms were relatively cool even through the heatwave that we were having. A few nice things to have would be a USB charging port in the room and better hooks for the towels to be hung on to dry.
- 5/5
The property and Motel is nostalgic. It character is a glimpse of the past. It is well kept and very clean. There were no hidden surprise fees. When they offer free wifi, it is free wifi and not throttled bandwidth coaxing me to spend more for full bandwidth. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. What's not to like.
- 5/5
Easy drive to Niagra Falls away from some of tourist hustle-bustle.
- 4/5
The place was clean, and comfortable nothing fancy but good for the price
- 5/5
Very pleasant stay
- 5/5
Affordable and nice service
- 5/5
Such a cute hotel. Check in & out was super smooth. The floor in the room I stayed in could use a little work, but the bed was comfy, shower was nice, the AC was cold (with help from the fan in the room) & the location was good for me.
- 5/5
This motel was organized and well maintained. Felt very safe and bed was very comfortable. Room was very clean. Easy to check in after 5 and check out.
- 4/5
Simple accommodation, clean.
- 4/5
Very clean and cute room. Bed was firmer than what we are used to, but overall a good stay.
- 5/5
It was clean and was well located
- 4/5
Great place close enough to the attractions.
- 5/5
Very quiet
- 4/5
Clim.un peu bruyante mais ok, bien équilibré. Route passante mais vers 23h ont entends presque rien. Emplacement à 7 min. en voiture du stationnement Rapidview C. Quelques resto tout prêts.
- 5/5
Well kept up fabulous quaint decor. I would highly recommend. The charm makes up for lack of ammenities
- 4/5
AC was hardly felt , had to open the door and windows to get cooling air a bit. A table fan was provided too.
- 5/5
Great place, staff easy to call for instructions and advice.
- 4/5
looks a little outdated and water needs some more pressure but overall, it was good.
- 4/5
Clean and priced right for a sleep over
- 4/5
Loved the decor. The motel made late check-in easy.
- 5/5
One must admit that the place and property facilities/conditions which included towels, conditioner, tv, hairdryer, code machine, microwave and fridge were totally great, everything worked and for this kind of price I think that’s incredible accommodation!! Moreover, I definitely will give this motel 5/5 and recommend everyone to choose if for quick stay while you having fun in Niagara Falls.
- 5/5
Great stay. A little bit far from the center of the town. The soap is very bad so bring your own one.
- 5/5
It’s very clean and free of bugs. Fresh air from two windows. We needed help and the staff came to help within 5 mins. It’s a motel so I wouldn’t expect a five star hotel stay, but highly recommend for a few days stay in Niagara fall area if you want a comfy stay with lower budget. We saved money on the hotel and went to the Skylon restaurant instead for the views. Worked really well
- 5/5
Great value for the price. Owners were good with checkin process and very responsive to inquiries during stay.
- 5/5
Great comfortable stay, responsive staff.
- 4/5
The property was somewhat dated but it was spotlessly clean.
- 5/5
Very clean rooms. Comfy bed. We arrived after check-in time and it was still very easy. Communication with the staff was great. Would definitely come here again and stay!
- 5/5
I’m going back in the area. I’ll definitely go to this place and if anybody else is in the area and you’re looking for a cute little place in bed a microwave fridge nice bathroom. It’s the place to go anyway you only sleep there right
- 5/5
If you looking a reasonable price and convenience place to visit Niagara Falls, The Rex Motel is great choice for you! I highly recommend here. Thanks again!
- 5/5
Had a great time. Can't wait to return
- 3/5
Good. Night rest
- 4/5
gas station and two big plazas were very close to the property.
- 5/5
clean and quiet, great service when needed, owner was very friendly and helpful
- 5/5
This was a great place to stay. Staff were friendly. Rooms were clean and quaint decorated with unique decor. Coffee maker, microwave and fridge in the room was very nice. Very reasonably priced. Walkable distance to the falls. Would stay here again for sure.
- 4/5
This was a cute updated motel. Since there is no staff on site, we had no ice, room cleaning or fresh towels. But the location is good in that it was not far to drive to the main areas around Niagara Falls, and it is located on a main road toward those places. The parking is right in front of your room, and the room was very clean.
- 5/5
Room is clean and comfortable. Lots of dining options within walkable distance.
- 4/5
Gary was always available when needed and did a great job communicating with us.
- 4/5
They let us check-in early. Convenient and great value!
- 5/5
The bed was hard but the pillows were nice. Water pressure in the shower was great!!
- 5/5
Inexpensive but solid accommodation. All the basics for comfortable stay. I would stay again, if visiting the area.
- 3/5
Great experience overall
- 3/5
Older accommodations with no AC.
- 5/5
Very clean and staff were friendly. Very reasonably priced.
- 4/5
Room very nice and clean. Only draw back was no housekeeping. Covid is over.
- 4/5
Staff thought of everything and were very friendly! Room was clean, pillows were comfy. Wifi was slow (too many people using I would imagine) and surrounding area is a bit dodgy, but that isn’t the motel’s fault.
- 3/5
Het motel ligt aan een drukke weg en daardoor vrij lawaaierig, ook was de kamer niet erg ruim, maar wel schoon.
- 4/5
This is a perfectly good place to stay in Niagara Falls, without the frenetic activity of the major hotels and at half or a third of the price, depending on when you go. The room is a good size and quite pretty with painted walls and there was a mural in my room, the bed is comfortable, the sheets are clean, and there is a fridge with a decent-sized freezer and a microwave. The coffee in the room literally tastes like nothing, so be prepared to go out for a cup. There is a nice basket with rolled towels in the bathroom and good-quality toilet paper, which I would not have expected. It is a bit noisy during the daytime due to the location, but no problem at night. Be aware that there is no maid service, so you'll have to make your own room up and walk around used towels. You have to pick up new towels (and an iron, if you need one) in the registration area. Great shwarama place across the street!

very clean, comfortable bed, good seating area. quiet

Overall a nice little motel! It's a little dated so if you're expecting the Marriott this isn't it but for what it is its a great affordable spot. Easily the best Inn in its price range. It seemed clean and the owner seems extremely nice! Definitely recommend for a a cheap few nights while you explore Niagara!

Excellent
- 5/5
Clean, convenient, nice interior
- 5/5
Accommodation was excellent for the price. Owners are quick to respond if there are any issues.
- 3/5
The Rex Motel is a nice place to stay for the price. The grounds outside definitely need maintenance as they are overrun with weeds. The room was small but clean as we expected. Nothing exceptional overall, just a place to sleep, shower and be close to the falls (less than 2 miles away). You can find parking near the falls ranging from $10 to $50 a day. Overall this an average stay, we did not expect big hotel services or amenities and this suited us just fine. If you plan on spending tons of time in your room I would say look elsewhere, but again to sleep and get ready to go out and about the day this was perfect for the price.
- 4/5
This small motel had a very clean room. It was a bit small, but for the price it was definitely worth it.
- 3/5
A/C was too cold at night
- 4/5
Was good value for the dollar.
- 4/5
Very comfortable bed, nice area,
- 4/5
Nice and cheap it was clean and really all you do is sleep there
- 5/5
Staff was nice, room was clean and the neighborhood was very nice just outside the tourism.
- 4/5
Thank you the Rex motel for your commendation. It was a nice quiet place to stay.
- 4/5
Property was clean and management was very hospitable.
- 5/5
Great motel, cozy rooms, very clean. Stayed there for 3 nights in early June, didn't have anything to complain about at all. We paid around $65/night which is great value for the area in summer. 7 min drive to the Niagara falls.
- 3/5
Simple room with clean nice bed, linens and towels. Old school motel that has been upgraded but needs some painting, etc. Was reasonable for the inexpensive price we paid if all you want is a place to sleep.
- 5/5
He let us check in a little earlier and had all my information ready to go. The hotel was clean.
- 5/5
The rooms were cute and the staff/owner was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
I grew up in Niagara and for decades drove by this place and never gave it a thought. I had to come “home” for a few days and needed a place to stay. I didn’t want to pay tourist rates for a noisy room and stumbled upon the Rex. Reviews were positive and I took a shot. I was pleasantly surprised at the state of the room, the friendly greeting I received, the quick response for an additional blanket and the quietness at night. One thing that amazes me was the mini fridge had a separate door on top for a decent size freezer. Never saw that before and was impressed.
- 5/5
Great Place for a great price! Gary was wonderful and great with communication. Super close to the falls!
- 5/5
That is a great place
- 4/5
Stayed for three nights. Friendly manager, and small but clean room. Very good shower head and strong hot/cold water supply. Quiet/effective central temperature/air flow, but no clear instruction of manual control. Old/worn-out refrigerator. I would consider to stay next time.
- 4/5
The room was very clean and well taken care of, it came with a mini fridge and microwave. Manager was very nice and more then happy to help with anything. The only down side was the air conditioning wasn't controlled in the room, it was a central air situation.
- 5/5
I wasn't expecting anything extravagant as we booked a cheaper place. But when we walked in the room we was so surprised how cute and cozy it was! The place was very clean. They had a microwave and mini fridge. Beautiful bathroom with nice water pressure. Super close to the falls and all amenities. I would definitely recommend The Rex Motel and will stay again.
- 5/5
This was such a great find. It was only 5 minute drive to the falls and clifton hill. There was so many things just 5minure driving distance. The place was comfortable and it had everything we needed for our 3 day weekend stay. I absolutely recommend. I will definitely book again in the future.
- 5/5
I liled that it felt more like a home than a motel. We stayed there for a week and it was great. I do wish that they gave us new towels and changed out purs since we were there for a week but it was fine. I could have asked and im sure they would have but It wasnt a big issue at all so i didnt bother, just wpuld be nice :) overall, we loved it!
- 1/5
It was the worst place I ever stayed at. We booked for 3 nights and no one came by to clean the room or the washroom .no clean towel or linen on the bed .no toilet paper after the second night. .
- 4/5
very clean! was nice to get out of downtown n stay in a quieter area
- 5/5
- 5/5
The Rex is awesome value....they're very nice people there....I'll stay there again
- 3/5
Was very basic nothing special slept on top of the sheets didn’t trust the beds very much and can hear neighbours
- 5/5
Having the microwave and fridge in the room were ideal
- 4/5
Clean, quiet, cosy and perfect if you just need an affordable place to sleep. Excellent for the budget minded tourist.
- 4/5
A cute little motel outside of the main Niagara Falls tourist area that has the basics and a couple nice stores across the street to help treat the mind and body. Just a short drive to Lundy Lane or the main attractions.
- 5/5
Room was clean, recently Reno, cute decor. Great location to attractions and restaurants. If sign was lit up at night, would be easier to find.
- 2/5
This place was very clean, the person running it is rude and unprofessional. We rang the doorbell, he handed me a piece of paper and the key and closed the door, He answers the phone by saying hello, I had no idea I was calling a motel, he has no manners or courtesy what so ever. The room was very clean but no air conditioning, it was hot. Also we had to open the windows and the traffic noise was terrible all night long, it is very close to a very busy road. I would not stay there again.
