The room was great-quiet and cold! Staff was great.

Very clean facility

Everything about this place was 10/10 outside of the shower. It was definitely older and there were several hairs left from the last cleaning. Want so badly to say the place is perfect but that moved it to a 9/10. Staff was super friendly and helpful, restaurant was solid, and rest of the room was in good shape and clean
- 4/5
The hotel has been beautifully renovated. Staff were very courteous. Parking ramp is easily accessible by skywalk. The restaurant in the hotel had no coffee for quite some time on Saturday morning, ugh. It would be nice ig the restaurant were open all afternoon. It closes for a couple hours. We did find a great restaurant about a block away for an afternoon snack and libation! It was so nice we went back for dinner the next night! Would stay here again.

Check in staff Julianna was very friendly and helpful. But we found the safe locked. We had to call the front desk twice before the so called engineer showed up. He looks very young and doesn't look like what he was doing. He put a code in which didn't open the safe. He said it is broken and had to be replaced and he cant do anything tonight. I had this problem in other hotels and they usually fixed it for me. Then the next day the cleaners took our towels but forgot to leave fresh ones. We had to call the front desk again to get fresh ones. I think this hotel is poorly managed.

Nice clean room!

The entire hotel was immaculate, the front desk was very accommodating and helpful! Requested a high floor at check in and was given a room on the top floor! Didn’t utilize the bar or restaurant, but saw a lot of guests enjoying the area! Parking was easy and wasn’t charged for using it!
- 3/5
We paid for two nights of parking and there was no parking available the last night and no parking in the area which made it very inconvenient for us.
- 5/5
Very clean and comfy beds. Great location.

Very good

Overall, I was disappointed. The lobby remodel is fantastic, but when I got to my room around 6:30 PM, there was a plate with silverware sitting on the floor next to the door. It remained there until I checked out the next morning as did a McDonald’s bag outside my neighbor’s room. There was also a coffee cup left on a ledge which was never cleaned up, too. The TV speaker crackled. There was no soap in my shower and no shampoo in my coworker’s shower. But the worst part was the doors. They slam shut. All night long, you hear them closing hard. I’m positive they could break a finger. The restaurant is slow and understaffed. Great potential here, poor execution.
- 3/5
The staff at the front desk were unfriendly, and there was a wait to check in to the hotel, even though it was already past the initial time I had been given for the room to be ready.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Room was clean and perfect!

Location, location, location!! So close to uptown.. walkable to everything! Paying for parking- parking should be included in the price of the room.

Rooms were dirty. Was first assigned one room but upon arrival at the room there was long hair everywhere all over the floor, sink, even in the bed. I went down to the front desk and they moved me to a new room. Once I got to the new room I found a crusty stain on the fitted sheet and small hairs all over the bed. I called the manager up to see and he told me the sheet would be changed. This was at 5pm. I came back to my room at 8:15pm to find the sheets had not been changed yet. Had to go down to the front desk again! Finally got the sheets changed around 8:30pm. Appears the cleaning crew is not cleaning properly.

I checked in on a sunday night about 930.. my floors werent swept.. i had a stain on my comforter and the light in the shower was hanging out. Monday night after my conferences i went out shopping came back ordered food hopped in the shower which at that point the light dropped down even more so i cut that short. My food was delivered i sat and noticed half my room was out of power. I did call the front desk can't they did offer to send someone to the room but it was almost 9pm i was in my pajamas and wasnt up for company.. thought it could have been a fuse somewhere. Hate to complain because i was going to bed anyway but I couldn't plug my phone in because the outlets weren't working by my bed.. the refrigerator was off, so my waters. We're called my leftovers had to be tossed and the coffee creamer I brought for my coffee also went bad. Tuesday. I woke up to make coffee realize that outlet was also off.. but i was able to make it in the bathroom those outlets worked.. i have stayed here many times and can tell you I have never had one complaint. This was probably the worst stay i've had. I will probably be back because I go to the conferences held at this hotel and its convenient, hopefully it'll be better. I'm not sure if this even has anything to do with the hotel but this was also the worst year i've ever had parking.

Nothing I reserved a room with a bed and a couch and was told checking in that the hotel was oversold so we got downgraded and I had to share a bed with my adult son after driving 14 hours

Checked in and was offered to sign up for Bonvoy app to earn points for stay (I was told weeks later that since we used Expedia we were ineligible for those points). In the room the light bulb was burned out (not a big deal) the conditioner bottle was empty (not a big deal) the floor under the ottoman had hairballs and candy wrappers (surprisingly dirty for a Marriott) and despite having a "Privacy Please" placard on the door and being 2 hours and 15 minutes before checkout time, we had a member of the hotel staff open our room while we were sleeping. They knocked but we thought the knocking was next door because we had our privacy tag on and were hours away from checkout, we never expected to have our privacy invaded!! Surprised that a Marriott stay wasn't as good as the Comfort Suites. The hotel looked pretty in the photos but I value staff not walking in on me more than a pretty foyer.

$8 bucks for a domestic beer . Left 4 oz water bottle for guests…so small, why bother? It’s a Marriott…for over $200 a night a 12 oz bottle could be passed out. Won’t come back

Will greet you with a smile

The room was not thoroughly clean. Blood on the comforter, waste on the bathroom floor. Would not recommend staying here. Nor will I stay here again.
- 2/5
The bathroom was not clean and there was garbage in the room from previous guest. The microwave didn't work and when we called frontvdesk for help they were rude and said there is nothing we can do. There was no power in the room when we woke up in the morning. Apparently a transformer blew which I understand is out of their control however you would think they would inform guests.

Fire happened - sent me outside very cold weather long time! Electricity off in morning! I am not impressed where we stayed! Sad!

- 4/5
Very clean and comfortable stay! Breakfast quality could be better but other than that a great choice.
- 5/5
The room was clean. The staff was more than pleasant and offered suggestions being as we were from out of town. The pool area was also very clean. The lobby was beautiful as well.
- 5/5
Pretty nice place for Normal, Ill
- 5/5
Clean
- 3/5
The bathroom was not clean. The room was ok but there were things that were dirty. There was nothing in the room or on-site to tell you when the restaurant opened or if there was food or drinks.

Very bad experience!!!
- 2.5/5
Spacious Lobby and restaurant/bar were frigid. Floors by entry covered in water. Check-in was slow. 3 people at the desk, only one helping customers. Bar and restaurant service slow and waitress seemed confused by orders. People had to yell into the kitchen to get their bill to close out because they waited awhile and needed to get going. Food was under cooked, even though we'll done was requested. Although waitress was friendly, she seemed more interested in finding her phone and getting together with friends.

Very clean and nice hotel.
- 4/5
something was wrong with the heater in the lobby, it was freezing, and they couldn’t ring up food purchases, there was no offer of compensation. They gave me COLD coffee, and they knew it was cold. There was a buffet with food, but I think it was some kind of package with the room. They did not offer me a plate to get some-what the heck! The desk person in the am was not friendly at all, with no apologies given for the heat/ food status.
- 1/5
Once we got to the room the heat wasn't working, but they fixed that in minutes. The room wasn't cleaned properly, there were water marks and small amounts of hair around. All around it's sorry to say that this is what I have come to expect. But there are other hotels that do this correctly.
- 2/5
I recently stayed 2 nights here on a business trip. The room was clean, however I was given a double queen when I had booked a King room. The most frustrating part, though, was that I chose this hotel because their website clearly advertised airport shuttle service. I confirmed this by telephone the day before my arrival and even set the time for the shuttle to take me to the airport. However, upon arrival, I was informed that the shuttle service is only for pilots and flight crew. After confirming the day before and even setting my departure time, they acted like they were doing me a huge favor to let me ride the shuttle with the flight crew which left 45 later than I had made arrangements for the day before. Very unprofessional and unapologetic. When I informed them that their website is very misleading if they don't really offer airport shuttle service they didn't seem to care at all. And why would you schedule a shuttle ride by phone that you have no intention of actually providing? I would definitely hesitate to stay here again. To many things not delivered, without even an apology. There are plenty of other hotels that will appreciate your business and at least apologize when they drop the ball.
- 5/5
Staff at front desk at check in were amazing, professional and very friendly. Room very clean
- 4/5
The tv system left something to be desired, considering it is 2026. The satellite was out for a good portion of our stay, and the internet options were very limited bc it wasn't a smart tv. I had to request multiple times that my room be cleaned and bedding changed, etc, but I gathered they were a bit overwhelmed with a bunch of events during my stay. Not a deal breaker, but worth noting. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Marriott at ISU. Nice staff, spacious and clean rooms, convenient parking and located right off the main drag through town.
- 5/5
Great room. Staff is great and so close to local restaurants and campus. The parking garage and bridge is helpful.
- 4/5
Yeah
- 5/5

- 5/5
Good hotel! Clean and great service!
- 4/5
Great location. Very convenient. Service was great. Room was comfortable and well appointed. Overall a great hotel.
- 3/5
There was hair in the shower before we used it. We had a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, which was ignored the following morning. Overall, this place was not worth the money.
- 5/5
For the most part it was nice the shower head was sure moldy though
- 4/5
Yes
- 5/5
Clean and courteous
- 3/5
Needed to ask for towels etc.
- 5/5
Functional mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Hot water works. Staff were very kind and informative. Everybody seemed to enjoy being there, and the performance shows. Hotel is connected to a parking garage by a sky bridge, keeping your car out of (most) of the elements. Central location made it easy to walk around uptown and see the local shops. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this location if you are in the area.
- 5/5
Clean room. Parking across the street has a skywalk to the hotel. Staff were friendly and responsive.
- 5/5
Staff were helpful and there was plenty of room for our group to gather with the team and parents. Would choose to stay again!
- 5/5
Cleanliness excellent, enjoyed my stay
- 1/5
Our room, especially the bathroom was really dirty and we had no towels or wash clothes and only one pillow for a king size bed for two people. We were told by the front desk they were out. When they came to clean the room the next morning they left us one towel and didn’t clean the bathroom well at all. It was just a really bad experience and will not be staying there again.
- 5/5
Nice room. No drawer space but large closet.
- 4/5
Room was not dusted and razor was left from previous guest. Room was too warm and thermostat not working
- 2/5
It was a disappointing experience. Lackluster front desk staff. The restaurant hours that the staff confirmed were incorrect and left us without a food option when we arrived. And the room and bathroom was not clean or fully stocked. I would not stay here again.
- 4/5
.
- 3/5
I had a few issues, the shower didn’t drain and almost overflowed, also the handheld shower didn’t work.
- 4/5
Check-in took about 10 minutes - excuse was short staffed. Others around us were requesting room changes because their rooms did not get cleaned adequately. We did not have that issue. Room was warm and never really cooled down, even with the setting at the lowest A/C degrees possible. Toilet handle was broken and hanging by a thread. Bed was very comfortable and bar area was nice.
- 5/5
It was clean. The staff were friendly and and helpful. Continental breakfast included with the price of hotel would be nice.
- 5/5
It was a good stay
- 4/5
Great location to campus and uptown area
- 5/5
This location has remodeled and it looks nice!
- 5/5
This hotel is in a great location! It's walkable to campus, restaurants, and shops. I will definately stay here again.
- 4/5
👍
- 5/5
Same as my experience last month. They exceeded my expectations last time which also raised them. I came again with slightly higher expectations, and they met it. Can't beat a hotel this nice with this nice of service that has a skywalk to the parking ramp. Be ready to enjoy your stay here.
- 5/5
The property is very clean. It was a very nice hotel. The hotel is connected to the parking garage which was very convenient. I will definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Clean and quiet. Comfy bed and spacious room. Easy checkin.
- 3/5
Property is great. Had to wait hours to check into my room because they stated they were short handed on housekeeping although the university of north Alabama football team was checking in that day and they all had rooms!
- 5/5
great
- 5/5
The hotel itself was nice and clean.
- 5/5
It was a very nice hotel
- 5/5
I walked around in my dress shoes to Keep my feet clean. The service was awesome with staff always greeting me and helpful to assist. The room was newly updated and I loved the shower. The staff were great to make sure at the conference we had everything we needed. The food was great!
- 3/5
The area it was located, Uptown Circle, was very walkable with several restaurants. I did have a problem with my room, that took 3 visits to reception and finally talking to a manager to resolve. All involved were very nice. The other issue, the complimentary coffee and water were always empty.
- 5/5
Quick, friendly check in. Great price!
- 4/5
Friendly staff and guest. Quiet almost all the time.
- 5/5
My expectations were exceeded. There were two ladies covering for the regular desk workers that gave me a good laugh and warm welcome as I got my keys. No other complaints aside from the room's floor being slightly sticky. Everything else was good!
- 5/5
Convenient, modern with excellent amenities and service.
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly and Teddy was exceptional!! Beautiful Hotel and over all clean . My only complaint was that there was hardly any toilet paper when I first went to my room and the refrigerator wasn’t working.. other than that everything was pretty good .. Thank you !
- 4/5
Very close to anything and very quiet
- 4/5
The room was very nice.
- 5/5
Very clean and close to stires and restaurants
- 2/5
Had to grab towels and toilet paper. No shower gel. Shower drain clogged with hair. Pool was closed. Found out after we got there.
- 5/5
Great Hotel. I would recommend. Clean rooms. Safe. We had handicap room. We came here because it is close to the hospital for next day surgery. I would stay here again. Staff friendly.
- 5/5
Steve, the bellman was very helpful and quite helpful! I also appreciated the ladies at the reservation/ checkout desk. The uptown Normal Car Show caused a bit of a problem with the street blocked off.
- 5/5
Work. Both
- 5/5
Excellent all around.
- 2/5
Bathroom door to hard to close and open. Thermostat not working room was very cool 67 degrees. Toiler paper holder was broken and roller missing. The toiler flush handle loose.
- 4/5
Ihe facility overall was excellent. The pool was to be the highlight of our stay however the pool was cloudy and greyish the first 2 days with dead bugs in filter. On our last day, Saturday it was much better and the water was clear. I did let the desk know Friday that the pool was an issue for us. We asked for towels and and coffee twice on Sat. Ended up going to desk for them myself. They came for trash and gave us toilet paper after we asked on Friday. No used towel pick up or garbage, sweeping etc the rest of our 3 night stay. The Members club staff were excellent, as was the gentleman who helped with TV. Desk people were welcoming when we checked in. I felt bad not leaving a tip for housekeeping, as I think they were short staffed. Once housekeeping said they would return but never did on Saturday.
- 5/5
It was a great overall experience
- 4/5
Clean hotel - door was off a bit and had to jam shut.
- 5/5
Very nicely remodeled. Check in and check out was a breeze.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay next to ISU campus.
- 4/5
Everything was great but the room needed a little TLC. Not major.
- 5/5
This hotel was beautiful!
- 4/5
Nice property. Room was clean. Only issue I had was at check-in. They couldn't find my reservation and in the end was told that their system was older and sometimes had trouble with reservations made through outside sources (Expedia in my case). The staff was helpful in rectifying the situation, only after my insistence that they fix the issue, not me.
- 4/5
I have stayed at this property several times before. Nowadays, there is no daily maid service. Understandable. However, that means you have to request towels when needed. I did not get that request honored. Also, there was no dresser to store clothes. I don't like living out of a bag or suitcase. The hotel and room were clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
Stayed 1 night. Room was clean and comfortable but the shampoo and body wash were empty in the shower and didn’t discover that until in the shower so a little aggravating on top of no hair dryer in the room which was also inconvenient to discover. Did report to the front desk, they apologized and said they were short hair dryers for every room but they were on order.
- 3/5
Average stay - not work the extra money. We were disappointed in the lack of service. When we reached our room, there were no towels or washcloths. After 2 calls to the front desk and chasing housekeeping down the hall, we finally got some towels. The soap and conditioner were ripped from the wall in the shower, leaving us to stare at two black empty strips of tape. No free parking and no complimentary breakfast or coffee made the experience more disappointing.
- 5/5
Convenient and close to the University! Staff at the desk very friendly and helpful!
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
Hotel is great, service was tired and unfriendly
- 5/5
We came in for an event. We were able to check in early to freshen up and drop off luggage. The check in was seamless and the hotel was fairly new. It was in great shape, and extremely clean. Would definitely recommend.
- 5/5
Newly remodeled and updated. Have stayed here many times.
- 5/5
Walking distance to ISU campus, CVS, Jimmy Johns, coffee shop, shopping etc. Clean hotel with indoor pool and workout facility. Nice lounge area with bar. Beds were comfortable. Staff was very nice. Check-in was easy.
- 5/5
Greta hotel great location
- 5/5
Shower was amazing and very clean overall
- 5/5
It was a very comfortable.
- 3/5
Check-in process was subpar. Upon check-in I was informed the room I booked was not available because they were oversold. I was offered a different room which was not at all ideal. I explained that I booked this room several months ago and at the time rooms were available. They said they was nothing they could do. I stated it was unacceptable. I would like the room booked. The employee was upset but miraculously the room I booked was available after a few keystrokes.
- 4/5
Our door was a little hard to open. We had to use our shoulder to get it open
- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
Staff went out of their way to help out without being asked. Overall, everyone was friendly. Facilities are excellent. Parking is convenient.
- 5/5
The hotel was exceptional and the staff was very friendly. My only issue was that I reserved a king size bed and was given a double. There was no way for the change to be made as I originally requested. Other than that I’d recommend the hotel and would stay there again. Thank you
- 5/5
Only 2 recommendations: 1) Needed more staff to check-in guests on graduation day at college university, that had staggered graduation ceremonies all day. 2) Bonvoy information about hotel amenities on TV wasn't very detailed on dining options. My suggestion is to provide a hotel guide in the room like most hotels provide to guests. It's easier to access than scrolling through many TV screens to find needed information.
- 4/5
Comfortable room. Couple of little things. No wastebasket in the bathroom, they didn’t replace the coffee cups and water glasses so I didn’t have a coffee in the room the second day. But the staff was friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable and there was a nice shower. It’s also great to be right on campus
- 4/5
Location
- 5/5
Loved it.
- 5/5
I like everything thank you
- 5/5
Picking up my son from school.
- 5/5
Very walkable, quiet even with a convention at the hotel
- 5/5
This is a beautiful, clean and comfortable place to stay close to ISU.
- 4/5
I feel that there should have been a complementary breakfast.
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Highly recommended!
- 5/5
perfect location to campus
- 2/5
Blanket n toes I Requested. My card for my door kept declining. I had to go to the front desk 4x.
- 3/5
Open area but too crowded in walkways and elevators
- 5/5
Very welcoming!
- 4/5
Though the hotel is going through a full refurbishment, the room was clean and very comfortable. The staff were all courteous and helpful. Our only concern was lack of airport shuttle; however, they recommended a driver and he was very reasonable and I spite of our significant airline delay, he picked us up (at 2:30 AM). Even the front desk staff were pleasant when we arrived at this crazy hour. Well done Marriott!
- 5/5
Great location to stay, especially if you have a student living in Watterson.
- 5/5
I was at a conference
- 5/5
Highly recommend Marriott
- 4/5
Under construction and we didn’t realize it. Stay was still nice.
- 4/5
Bed was very comfortable. Shower was nice and hot. Loud in the morning due to construction going on. Also gym and pool were closed for same reason 😞
- 1/5
Loud lobby and incovenient access to many areas due to construction. No disclosures on line this is happening at location. Rooms not ready.
- 4/5
Undergoing renovations which are inconvenient. Area around outside hotel needs to have trash picked up. Beds and room were great as was staff. Parking and breakfast not included which were a bummer.
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay at Marriott!
- 2/5
The hotels is undergoing intensive renovations. We were woken up on Saturday to jackhammering and drilling. On top of that we were charged twice after already purchasing our room in full via Hotels.com. The hotel told me that I’ll be refunded but it may take 7-10 days.
- 5/5
Remodeling was going on during our stay. Our room was newly remodeled but the shower head would not turn on and there was a strip at the bottom of the entry door into the room that was coming off the door. We stayed in room 803.
- 4/5
Beautiful hotel with a nice restaurant in pool
- 5/5
Our room Was very clean
- 5/5
Hotel is in process of a remodel. My room was nicely updated and so was the lobby area.
- 3/5
People out by every door smoking. Not sure if they offered any type of dining or breakfast. Pool was a mess. With towels left everywhere.
- 4/5
There was no hot water in the shower or sink. Other than that the hotel was great
- 1/5
We went to the hotel on the sole purpose to get a good meal and take a shower and a bath we asked for extra towels and they never came and the bath tub was broken and the shower head was broken and sprayed everywhere else but were we wanted it
- 5/5
I stay there regularly, always a good stay
- 5/5
This was a wonderful stay!! The staff was so attentive! Just to name a few Michelle, Chase and Melissa! We ate in the restaurant at the hotel and food and drinks were so good! Definitely would stay again!! Clean, updated and great amenities!
- 3/5
No blanket on bed or in closet, only a sheet and bed cover. No hairdryer, no makeup mirror. Will choose a different hotel next time.
- 4/5
Construction noise.
- 3/5
Average. Food was overpriced and terrible. Service was great.
- 4/5
Nice place, bed was hard but room was clean and semi quiet.
- 2/5
Under renovations / construction, which is expexted and understandable. But the work started at 7 am and was noisy. Water did not work in the shower.

Staff did not seem willing to share a lot of information. It was my first time staying at this property and do not know about all details and had to continue to ask for it. Did not feel overall welcome and informed from checking in to checking out.

I asked for a receipt through the online portal and I asked for a reciept in person when checking out. They could only provide the parking and wifi charge. I was told I would be refunded the Wifi charge because it wasn't working well in my room. But I didn't get a refund. I had to get the actual room booking receipt from Expedia.

The staff was inexperienced and the grounds are in need of updating but overall we had a pleasant time. The pool needed to be cleaned and we got items stolen. Check-in took forever. Parking was easy and location is amazing! We had to ask for specific food at breakfast that was not out out at the buffet (the French toast was amazing but the servers was visibly annoyed going in the back to get it for us.)

Everything needed is in walking distance or just a short drive

I liked the convenience of being so close to campus and the surrounding areas shops and eating. I was disappointed in the hotel, our check in time was 4 and I arrived at 3:50 to wait in a line with 6 people and only one person the deck at check in time. When I finally got to the front (after 4) I was told my room was not ready. This is completely unacceptable and I didn’t come back for 3 hours. The hotel needs updating but was pretty clean. No free breakfast or free parking like Hyatt across the street where I’ll be staying from now on. I will be visiting for the next 5 years with two sons attending the University and it’s a one and done with Marriott. Marriott can do better!

For the $$$ price this hotel asks it is very worn in and without any real "perks", like free parking (in a small college town) or a room service menu in the room. Having to call the front desk who then sent me to the website which did NOT have a menu, just a place to reserve a table, was exhausting and an enormous time soak to just order some dinner. I ended up having to go down to the bar and order since they actually had a menu. there also was no garbage can in the bathroom. Really?
