    I usually love to stay at Country Inn. This wasn’t the greatest but the staff was great. My room was old and not clean. It had an odd odor and could use some updating. They did not get the trash and had me to take it to the dumpster. The laundry facilities stopped working. The lobby was clean and maintained. The food was alright.

    Everything was great! We arrived on Monday and after we ate and seen our Sailor, I was wanting to get in the pool to relax and the time was about 9 ish and I was thinking it didn't close till 10pm. So that is really the only complaint I have. Also me personally I don't like the smell of Marijuana, it gives me a headache, which we smelled it everyday we were there.

    Sink was dirty, mirror had old toothpaste spit or something left on it and there was a dried loogey or something on the wall. The hotel called and tried to run my card the morning of my arrival (check in is at 3pm) even though I had indicated that I would pay when I arrived which I did. Sketchy place....Security concerns. Not recommended.

    On the plus side, the property was clean and had a cozy feel. Breakfast was decent, and the gym worked fine for a basic workout. Also, staff was friendly and helpful. However, there were some notable concerns: Check-in: On a cold evening, I was asked to remove my hood at reception, which felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. Policy inconsistency: I chose this hotel partly for its no-pet policy, yet saw a guest with a dog in the parking lot, which felt inconsistent with how strictly other rules were enforced. Room condition: While common areas smelled fresh, my room had a strong musty odor. The HVAC made it worse, blowing dusty, unpleasant air. Bathroom maintenance: Shower knobs were loose, gaps in the shower looked prone to mold, the toilet wasn’t securely cemented, and the bathroom door showed water damage. Noise: Being near the elevator and rear door meant constant noise from doors, equipment, and elevator use. Gym upkeep: The water cooler was empty, and there were no sanitizing wipes available. I hope these maintenance and service issues are addressed to improve future guest experiences.

    The staff was super nice, however the property is older and could use a deep cleaning. Our beds were comfortable, but the bathroom needed extra scrubbing and there was visible dirt and grime on all of the baseboards. Under the bathroom vanity area looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while and the bathroom pictures had splatters of something on them.

    The staff helpful, I had ac go out middle of night they got us room overnight had fixed by breakfast and we were back in our room for rest of stay, hotel clean very nice I felt I was at a higher star hotel chain, decor nice warm comfortable, great breakfast with waffles hot eggs sausage fruit juice, the pool was in door heated nice towels in pool room, snack machines ice laundry all worked well decent priced. Small store and snack place at lobby had a small office area, wifi worked, tv big hard to figure out but signed into my netflix was good. Windows in room on 4th floor opened. The view was of the streets, the afternoon hotel had cookies for guest at lobby, there was wooded area across the way to take dogs to play walk kids explore, the rooms were clean, beds nice and firm could use more firmer larger pillows had nice closet hangers, and dresser drawers in room fridge I felt safe I booked this room for my daughter and grand baby vacation, there was lighted parking safe I didn't see any vagrant ever hear any noise that was fighting or disturbing, I was pleasantly surprised will book again for family friends visits

    Absolutely the worst worst country Inn and suites experience I’ve ever had. I paid extra for upgraded king suite and suite and the staff at the front on Night Shift was extremely rude out of the gate without even looking it up told me I’d been booked for weeks when three showed online available when we booked on top of that there was absolutely no parking after we got back from dinner and we had to park down a dirt road beside the place, this place was ran down, outdated dirty, and and it was completely overpriced! We stay out of town almost every weekend. This was a complete letdown. I did not stay hot. The bed was uncomfortable in the hotel stunk.

    The room door would not lock and we did not notice it until we were literally going to bed. If it had not been for the secondary fold over lock, we would have had to change rooms, which would have been a great inconvenience! The knob to turn on the shower was so hard to turn that my husband had to turn on the water for us before we could take a shower! He even admitted it was hard to turn on, and he's a burly, muscular guy!

The room was right by the pool and it was noisy because the kids in the pool. There is no blinds in the room so anybody can look inside. There was only curtains which is OK but if I wanted sunlight, it could have been looked in clearly through the window as it was on the first floor. I would have to cover the window with big brown shade for privacy which had cigarette holes. The desk, tube and bed sheets were dirty. There was hair on the tub side, along with dirt on the walls and lampshades. They came and tried to clean the areas, but it was still not a good look after knowing that it wasn’t clean previously. I was scared to walk on the floor barefoot.

    The room smelt like cigarette smoke was being covered up, although the too says no smoking. The whole room just felt nasty! The towels had hair on them and stains. One of the 4 towels was clean. The shower was GROSS! hair was still in their and many stains. There was tooth paste spur all over the counter. It looked like the mirrors had attempted to be cleaned, but instead there were foggy streaks.

    I liked the location, the staff was polite and friendly, I also liked the firmness of the bed. The breakfast was your usual breakfast items. Still good though. I didn't like that the toilet had urine stains stuck in the toilet seat holder on the back of the toilet, I also didn't like all the black mold in the bathroom..specifically the mold in the knob to turn the water on and off. The sink water pressure was extremely high. I also didn't like the pillows, they were flat.

    The young man at the front desk was the only reason we didn’t leave! The bathtub was dirty, pillows were dirty, room stunk, knob fell off in the bathtub, had to sleep wrapped up in my personal blankets.     Terrible customer service. Guest next door set off fire alarms, smoking, yelling, and slamming doors. Management investigated after fire dept and allowed them to stay. Checked out a day early and no questions asked as to what could be done to have a happy customer. Sent a message online with no response as well.

    This property is a complete rip off!!!!! Trying to over charge ppl debit card by saying a transaction was declined when the transaction actually went through. I showed them the transaction on my phone in my Navy Federal account and they still said it didn't go through. Well my money must've disappeared in my face from a ghost. I got two rooms and you mean to tell me each time it declined when I'm looking at the money coming off of my card for the rooms? This sounds like a scamming deal and I would never ever go back there if my life depended on it. I'll sleep in my car first. And my deposit better be back on my card. I'm from the area but moved out of town recently and came back for a family function. I stayed at this hotel 9yrs ago for 2mths while my house was being repaired and it was excellent. Now.... I'll go homeless first and that's sad. You don't try to get over on ppl behind their money they work hard for. I wouldn't recommend a dog staying there!!!! Bad bad bad business 👌. I was sick in the stomach running off in the restroom after eating the breakfast, the eggs was watery, the syrup tasted spoil. Only thing I liked was the apple juice and I had to mix that with water. I wouldn't advise anyone to stay there unless you're desperate. And then ..they didn't want to give me a receipt after checking in. Like what? Told me to come back in the morning. They got two room deposits and two rooms payment and tried to take another room payment. I told them um..NO

    I wish I could share photos with you. But the room smelled of mold. I pulled the screen off the A/C return and the filter was completely clogged with dust. There was as I suspected what looked like black mold inside the ductwork. Shame on this place. The staff was friendly though and very professional. It is not their fault the conditions were like this but the management.

    Secondly the phone in the room not working , i walked up to the night from desk but this Indian guy just ask for the room number and said okay, it was not fixed all through my stay. Thirdly the AC did not work. Finally the Refrigerator in the room was just for decoration, all my ice cream got defrosted and wasted. despite putting in the freezer part.

    The location of this property is lovely. It is close to so many things. The staff is exceptional. Very helpful and very friendly. Im not a huge breakfast person, but they offer some really nice options. I felt safe at this property. N. Charleston itself has a homeless problem, but that is no reflection on the hotel. They are located less than a 2 blocks from a Wal-Mart, a Target and a full-fledged mall. So many dining options within a mile or 2 radius. Really great location. I was very comfortable there.

    This place was absolutely disgusting. There was a horrid smell and bugs. I stayed one night and immediately left. The company still took my money and refuses to give me my money back. I now have to fight with corporate. NEVER BOOK WITH THEM!

    Loved everything about our stay at Country Inn & Suites North Charleston. Conveniently located right off the highway, in a great spot near lots of great dining options (great lil' coffee spot next door). The hotel was inviting, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed the hot continental breakfast that was provided each day. Our room was clean, spacious, and had a comfy bed, with great water pressure in the shower (a bonus!). I would stay here again without hesitation!

    9/10 I’d definitely recommend. We stayed in the king suite. Friendly staff. Great hot water. Very spacious, clean, quiet. Lots of dining, shopping options nearby 2-7mins. Offered breakfast but we slept through it. lol Cons: Air wasn’t working properly stayed about 75deg even though AC was set to 60deg for hrs. Pillows super soft, so I’d suggest bringing your own. Other than that great stay!

    The carpet throughout the hotel needs to be taken up. It has several rips and stains. Upon entering the room, there were several rips and stains on the carpet. The tub looked dirty. However, overall, the staff was amazing and friendly.

    Hotel overall wasnt terrible, BUT I was there on business working third shift. the hotel is doing renovations from about 9 or 10 am until 8 or 9pm. while i was trying to sleep there was constant banging and construction noises coming from all the rooms around mind as well as the room next to mine. there was hammering on the same wall as the bed in my room. i spent the majority of my week stay unable to get adequate rest. there was also a child on the floor above mine constantly running up and down the hall all day and jumping around in thier room until late hours of the night.

    The property is near a dangerous freeway. People loiter. The rooms are not clean. We took cold showers because there was not hot water for our 2 day stay. Very bad. Avoid if possible.

    booked a king size room but was given a double queen handicap accessible room . light in bathroom kept going out so we had to take showers in the dark , asked for it to be fixed .. they just brought a lamp into the bathroom . bumping or loud thuds coming from upstairs all night . a/c wasn't keeping room cold at night .

    Upon arrival the hotel smelled like bleach and other chemicals. Before I could even check in 2 guest were complaining and one even asked for a refund and checked out. Surprisingly whenbwe got in the room it appeared clean but hot. Floors were nasty feeling and there was dust and crumbs in the corners. The housekeeper did not knock just used her key and walked in. The day of checkout the housekeeper walked in at 10 am while we were in bed. Then the young girl at the front desk called at 11:45. I usually give places 3 strikes but this isn’t worthy of another stay for the price. Let this be a last resort. Charleston has some nice hotels in better areas choose them first.

    The staff is friendly and does their best but the building is just old and it smells. Fire alarm malfunctioned and went off around 4:30 AM Sunday morning so that was a lot of fun. Shower was makeshift with hand held head that was no where near high enough with poor water pressure. Stayed for 4 days.

    The property has a few homeless people living on the outside by the parking lot. There was hair on the floor and in the tub when we checked in. There was no cable connected for the 2 days I was there. There were 2 mattresses in the hallway both days

    There was many stranglers on the property. None of the TV’s worked in the entire hotel . Imagine going on vacation without being able to use the tv . The area seemed unsafe with many ransoms walking around & on hotel property. The shower pressure was low & the ice machine was broken on my floor .

    Well where do I start, I cheaped out on my stay. Don’t do it here. I checked in with the front desk, smooth enough. Room was less than standard of clean but enough for an evening stay. At around midnight the front desk gave another customer a key to my room he his daughter and my wife daughters and myself were all in for a scare as we were awoken to the door being shaken. Did we get notice ? Did the front desk call up? Nope. Instead 7 am and a non uniformed employee is banging on the door asking for our information. As anyone else would we packed up and loaded the truck. I stopped by the front desk to ask why sla non uniformed employee would be treating us like we stole a room and why they wouldn’t have called the room instead of awaking us again. All I got was they had a system error on choice hotels side. I asked why my rooms key was given to someone else, I got it was a system error and no level of accountability. I asked for a manager I was told 2 to 3 days before someone could address my issues. At this point I asked the front desk for their house key since they gave mine away, oddly enough they wouldn’t give me their house key but were unable to see the issue with giving out my room key. I cannot recommend this place to anyone. If you value safety and security run don’t walk run

    To begin, I booked my reservation per hotels.com. it stated that I would not be charged until check in. When I noticed they had charged me anyway I called the hotel to ensure I would not be double charged. The owner answered the phone and was so unbelievably rude! He had a TERRIBLE ATTITUDE. I kept the reservation anyway and when I got to my room, the tv did not work in the bedroom part. The handle was broken in the shower and the overall condition of the room was not worth what I paid. The beds were so hard and uncomfortable. We got little to no sleep! THINK TWICE GUYS!! STAY AWAY

    This property is a rose in the weeds. The staff are eager to help. The breakfast buffet had hot and cold choices. The room is clean and up dated. Great starting point to get to dinning or exploring the area. I don’t suggest walking around the immediate area.

    The housekeeping were also great people, the sign in the room say rooms will be cleaned and towels changed every 3 days but this wasn't the case. I worked in the area for a little over 2 weeks and stayed here the whole time. It was only 1 day when my room didn't get cleaned but every single day my room was cleaned and the towels and trash was changed. Working long construction hours and coming to a clean and fresh room was amazing and I made sure to tip the ladies multiple times during my stay to show my gratitude. They have a hot breakfast consisting of sausage, eggs, make your own waffle, cereal, fresh fruit, different juices, hot coffee, milk, muffins, bagels and more I know I'm forgetting. The only bad thing was, it seemed like every day I had to take my key card to the desk to have it activated again so it would work to my room. I saw others having this problem as well so it wasn't just me. Also the pool was down for maintenance, so anyone with kids wanting to swim, I'd call and make sure the pool is working so the kids trip won't be ruined expecting to swim. Whenever I'm in Charleston, this is the only hotel I'll be booking with. Thanks for the great service guys and also the great conversations from the lady that works the front desk, she's such an angel on earth.
