Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff, and spacious rooms. However, parking is a common issue, with guests often finding it tight or challenging. Some guests have also reported problems with the breakfast service and the condition of certain rooms.

Room amazing and massive Breakfast not great and parking was terrible
- 5/5
It was very clean and had everything we needed. N/A, u don't have anything to complain about
- 2/5
The room next to me had two dogs in it that howled and barked all night police sirens woke me up multiple times throughout the night then the cleaning lady just randomly walked in the room while I was trying to sleep 3 times without announcing herself between 6:30 am and 11:30 am

Awesome stay ,…….
- 2/5
Bad experience and service. lot of issues for the price paid and it is not acceptable. Room overlooking the highway made it extremely disturbing. The exhaust vent fan was not working, the light near the vanity was not working, walls with open screws with missing hanging picture a hazzard, requested for connecyed room in advance, was not honored, requested a 15min late check out but asked to pay 30$, breakfast was not refilled after 9am, kids running in the hallway banging doors past midnight, called the help desk and no action was taken(room phone was not working). Most of the issues were reported to the front desk and fell on deaf ears. Swimming pool is shared between this hotel and double tree, was packed with no basic amenities. Will never return.

My room was not ready on time and I don’t think that’s fair for the amount of money that we paid for one night. And secondly the place to put your soap was broken. I expect great quality for that price.
- 5/5
Yes. Everything was excellent. Wish i was staying longer. Evening staff and morning staff was awsome.
- 4/5
The breakfast was really good, the room was nice, the staff was amazing. They helped us every way possible to understand everything. Even went over and above to help with finding specific locations for us to enjoy. Having to pay for parking took me off guard. I didn’t expect to have to pay to park somewhere I was already paying to stay.

Right amount of beds and TVs, without feeling cramped! Paying $16 for parking on the hotel's property, when there's no insurance to do so.

Not enough parking and was not aware you have to pay to park at hotel.
- 5/5
Great room with our dog, convenient laundry, good breakfast and a good takeout dinner from the hotel next door. Only downside was paid parking.
- 5/5
The airport shuttle was super convenient and the room and lovby were very clean. The bar and restaurant were SO good. Renee was awesome!

You could stay at the Hampton for better service and cleaner rooms. Not impressed. If you do want a Homewood Suites , book the one in Mount Pleasant SC.

Staff especially, breakfast was OK (nothing special) Bad loacation next to busy highway, walls thin you could hear all the noise from the outside ... and management decided to charge for parking and you are not even close to downtown or any place where parking could be restricted???

No housekeeping Paying for parking when there was no valet No bar No room service Yikes

The shuttle service was great going to the airport but when we called for a pick up the front desk person said she couldn’t find my name and then asked if I was part of another group and I responded my name is Weeks and we stayed there last week. She then said we will send someone out to get you. 30 minutes later I called again and was told the shuttle was transporting a group at 6:30. Meaning we

There didn't seem to be a door in the very back area. If you had to park there it was a longer walk to the car. The rain was pretty bad one day so that did make things a bit inconvenient. The parking in general wasn't my favorite.
- 5/5
Everything. Excellent stay.
- 5/5
Room was clean
- 4.5/5
No mention of pay to park until I arrived
- 5/5
Staff was amazing, especially the girl who checked us in, I think her name was Tiffany. She went well above what she had to do to help us - she deserves a monetary bonus!!!
- 5/5
Staff was EXTREMELY helpful, especially Cynthia and Travis!
- 3/5
The carpet in the room wasn't clean.
- 1/5
The upcharges after we arrived were insane. I have a service dog not a pet and nowhere on your site does it say they’re will be a $75 dollar charge for a “pet”. They’re not even in the city and they charged $36 for parking. They also hold $50 for incidentals and who knows if using the dish soap is going to cost me $50 yet because it hasn’t been returned yet. $111 that I was not informed I would have to pay. The drains smell and cleanliness I guess is up to anyone’s most basic standards. The staff was okay, definitely not super friendly or welcoming again the most basic level of a low standard. I will not be staying with this hotel chain in the future.
- 3/5
I was visiting Charleston for the weekend. The hotel is not convenient for visiting downtown Charleston as it’s about a 20 minute drive and you’ll need to find parking. Nothing is within walking distance as you’re right next to the highway. The rooms are clean, maid service is every 2 days. Breakfast is standard fare.

- 4.5/5
Okay for hotel Didn't like paying for parking
- 5/5
Friendly front desk staff, spotless room, nice updated lobby, great location off the interstate.
- 5/5
The front desk staff and especially Guest Services Manager Cynthia were friendly and helpful at check-in with arranging for my airport shuttles and other needs. The two shuttle drivers I rode with were excellent. The rooms are great and condition of the facility is excellent. Great stay!!
- 5/5
Everything was amazing!!
- 5/5
Very nice place. The staff was very friendly. And gave great hospitality and recommendations for restaurants near by.
- 5/5
Nice to have a restaurant on property to have dinner and some beer
- 5/5
The room was extremely clean and the staff was entirely courteous.
- 3.5/5
Staff very unorganized
- 5/5
Always a great spot, staff is super friendly, I'll keep coming back
- 5/5
Excellent
- 2/5
For the room the heater wasn’t on. Once turned on it burnt off dust for the first 5 minutes, the smell stayed for approximately 1 hour. TV remote was working. Door didn’t close unless you forced it past the door jam. Not what I expected at all..
- 5/5
Clean , friendly, safe None
- 5/5
Cynthia at the front desk was awesome and efficient in every way, excellent customer service skills!
- 4/5

- 3/5
The room was very comfortable, but I was charged $12 for food I did not order. The clerk was supposed to remove the charge, but I don't see the credit yet. Disappointing.
- 5/5
Staff at front desk very helpful.
- 5/5
Room was nice and clean and the staff was very friendly….
- 5/5
Spacious suite. As a big family with many kids we found the two queen beds with an additional sofa bed suits our need. No TV shows for children is a minus though. We only stay here for one day so no need of the kitchen staff. They have big fridge and stove top to cook.
- 2/5
Very limited choices and no healthy options, the time was also limited.
- 4.5/5
The entrance was a little tricky.
- 1/5
Staff not pleasant at any time of day entering or exiting hotel. Certain clientele made me not ever want to book at this hotel. The smell of weed was powerful in the evening entrance. Breakfast bar area was never fully replenished. Rooms were comfy that’s about it.
- 5/5
Nice room. Friendly staff and breakfast was really good.
- 1/5
Upon checking in I was informed there was no reservation in my name. Supposedly Expedia never placed it. Thankfully the hotel wasn’t full and I could still be given a room. An annoying 30 minute check in experience though
- 4/5
Clean, Comfy and friendly staff
- 1/5
Lack of knowledge on my part an staffs i guess o know mect time alot of time wasted on on the room now its late so its not faur i paid for it an couldn't usr it damn near 2hrs after i got there smh
- 4/5
Everything was good but the per day parking costs and lack of parking.. To pay for parking and then have walk around a building at night was not ideal.
- 5/5
Everything was amazing. I’ve stayed at plenty of other hotels in Charleston for work and this has been my favorite one to date. Clean, secure, quiet, polite, accessible to the highway, and professional and friendly staff. When I checked in, Andrella was more than helpful, polite and gave me instructions on the parking. The entire facility was clean! They have a customer for life in me and my family who travel frequently for work and business.
- 2/5
The carpet in our room was disgusting, the bedskirts torn, other people had left things in closet, mattress cover for pull out sofa was torn, bleach stains on sheets. The hotel only had one person working the whole place the night we stayed.
- 4/5
Although the hotel itself was lovely, and the staff was friendly, pet owners ruined the total experience. Pets barked late and early mornings for long periods of time, and when left unattended. Maybe as a suggestion they should all be placed on the same floor. They also allowed pets to be in the dining area, people were holding their pets then fixing buffet style servings of food. I doubt any health department would approve of that.
- 5/5
Very clean and the staff were amazing. Great breakfast with varieties of options
- 5/5
This was our latest in a long line of hotel breakfasts and this one was the best of them all. The gym, pool, putting green and fire pits all looked nice but we didn't utilize them. Parking was lousy.
- 5/5
From the front desk gal (whose name I unfortunately forget) to the room being spacious and comfy. Probably most important was the check-in process at the front desk with Ms. Personality. She was perfect!
- 5/5
Everything was grrat!
- 5/5
Hotel was great ,room was nice clean, the front desk clerk. Did her best , I know she was overwhelmed at times.
- 3/5
We have to pay 10 a day for parking but when you are out and return NO parking spaces left and had to park with permission from staff on the sidewalk area along with four other cars. Not a good idea.. I should have received 10 of my parking fee back!! No way would I recommend this kind of situation …the area didn’t make me feel very safe in the dark especially if we had to park away from the front hotel area. For people with celiac there are no real good food options other than fruit … if eggs were safe there was no label to state gluten free (some seasonings contain gluten)..We loved the idea it was newer hotel and that was nice..BED sheets contained some kind or orange stain on them..yuck!! Bed was comfy and that was a plus.. the room where we were placed had a view of the roof and air conditioning units..not good
- 5/5
The room was incredible, and everything was perfectly spotless and in place.
- 5/5
Parking situation was Bad!
- 4/5
Overall good, mirror light not working and found insects crawling in the bathroom.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect, best free hotel breakfast and the coffee was better than Starbucks. Only negative was parking is not free and was told it would be $10 but was $15.
- 5/5
Staff and hotel was great
- 3/5
Room and common areas are not well maintained and are in need of updating. Very friendly staff though.
- 5/5
Nice, clean rooms and wonderful staff
- 2/5
Location abuts an Interstate highway, so it was very noisy. Front desk clerk made several mistakes with our room and keys. We were given a handicap suite which we did not need or request. Hotel parking is an extra charge over the room.
- 4/5
A lot of breakfast options
- 4/5
It was an affordable and clean hotel. We would stay here again.
- 5/5
very spacious, clean, comfortable rooms! complete kitchen in rooms including full size refrigerator, microwave, cook top, and dishwasher. Comfortable beds!
- 5/5
Hotel rooms were very spacious with full kitchens. Beds very comfy. Breakfast good.
- 5/5
Very clean
- 5/5
Miss Cynthia Williams was so warm and friendly from check in late at night to the next morning’s breakfast. She made our stay excellent. Thank you
- 2/5
Very to little parking and then had to pay for the one spot that was available at the end of the double tree. When we arrived to our original assigned room it smelled like cigarettes
- 5/5
Thank you Ms. Tonya and Ms Cynthia.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and helpful. Mrs. Cynthia treated us with kindness, southern hospitalit
- 5/5
Friendly staff, convenient to shopping and food, great selection for breakfast, and we didn’t even get a chance to explore all the other amenities. I’m noticing most hotels don’t have free parking anymore, but no issues other than having to pay for parking. I would recommend and would stay again.
- 5/5
Xxx
- 5/5
Very pleased
- 5/5
Studio rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable.
- 3/5
No need to find the traffic report as the highway is so close you hear the traffic all day and night! Racing cars, horns, sirens, etc. Nice hotel and convenient location but noisy as sits on top of the highway.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay and the staff was very friendly! Our only complaint was the hallway was so hot but the staff explained the situation and they were getting it taken care of. We would definitely come back and stay and recommend to others!
- 5/5
Very nice place
- 4/5
Very lovely hotel and rooms. BUT be aware of the parking situation. The parking lot is run by a separate company and its $10 a day to park AND there is a $10 service fee just to pay for the parking. Just be prepared. The rooms are nice and clean, and the breakfast is good.
- 5/5
Clean Room
- 3/5
Was a nice room and hotel. The only thing is that you have to pay for parking to stay at the hotel. Also we had to wait for our room to get cleaned. And we were 2.5 hours pass check in time and it still was not ready
- 5/5
Beautiful property
- 5/5
It was nice and unique
- 5/5
The staff was great!
- 5/5
Had a great time. Grills are a very nice feature for this hotel. Also outside, love the wood on top going through the entrance. Only bad thing I have to say is the pool - was not very well maintained. It was green the whole weekend. Kids were disappointed!
- 5/5
Staff was excellent. Room was very clean great price.
- 5/5
The hotel was clean and inviting as you walk jnside. The front desk staff is very pleasant and hrlpful and Juan was exceptional! The room is spacious clean and airy. The full kitchen is a definite plus for families traveling. The pool area is very nice although I didn't see a hot tub. The hit tub would have truly sealed the deal for me! Breakfast was always good and the food hot and the area well kept by the kitchen staff. There is not a lot of parking but the hotel allows you to park anywhere due to the lack of space. Not crazy about the fact that now this hotel and others are charging customers for parking when you're already paying steep prices for the hotel stay. I think parking should be free of charge! Overall I enjoyed my stay and it was comfortable. 😃🤗
- 5/5
Our stay was nice and mostly quiet, the only complaint Is that our bed linen smelt soured like it had been folded wet or sat in the wash over night, front staff provided all clean linen so no big deal. The parking is a little frustrating but they can’t really help that- seems to be the theme in Charleston. Breakfast and staff are wonderful we loved the joint courtyard and fire place! We’d definitely stay again!
- 4/5
The stay was great. Service was great definitely would stay again.
- 5/5
Everyone was friendly, great spaces for families. Would come back again.
- 5/5
Great place.
- 5/5
is ok, but thats why I love the suites, I can cook my own banana pancakes etc. Will definitely return for my Charleston stays.
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
Did not enjoy paying for parking every day
- 5/5
Louis at the front desk was so kind & helpful!
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
Clean and very spacious rooms
- 1/5
We couldn’t get a shuttle to our hotel because there are 3 hotels under the same name but 3 different locations
- 5/5
The services was Exception and the staff were so nice and polite. The room was quite packed wiht kitchen, little stove and frdige. Over all everything was superb and would higly recommend!
- 5/5
The one thing I didn’t like was the limited parking and that I had to pay to park.
- 5/5
Nice visit great staff and good breakfast
- 4/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
Great breakfast, clean rooms.
- 5/5
Nice hotel convenient to the airport
- 4/5
Nice property
- 5/5
Great staff. Wonderful overnight stay in clean room
- 4/5
It was good but not enough parking plus you had to pay which wasn’t on the reservation. And limited choices on breakfast
- 5/5
Convenient breakfast, good location
- 3/5
Front desk staff (Lewis) was amazing! Parking was TERRIBLE!!! Never while booking were we told that we had to pay for parking. We left to get dinner, came back and there was not one parking spot and we have to drive around for 30 minutes waiting for someone to leave. Ridiculous and so frustrating!!! Every time we flushed our toilet it would make this horrible sound for 30 minutes. Definitely will be finding a different hotel the next time we visit Charleston!
- 2/5
For the price of the room, the images advertised does not the match the room. The couch has rips on them, and the vinyl baseboard was coming off the wall.
- 4/5
Very clean and easy to get to
- 5/5
From the first interaction at the front desk to the final goodbye, this was a first class experience. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a full size fridge, beautiful bathroom and plenty of room to relax. Loved the access to the restaurant and bar next door along with the comfortable outdoor courtyard/pool area. The front desk attendants were so friendly and helpful with recommendations of places to see while we were visiting from out of state. The price was so reasonable. If we return to Charleston, we will stay here again!
- 5/5
Very friendly staff, animal friendly and clean!
- 5/5
Hotels.com messed up my reservation and the nice lady at the front desk Ms. Cynthia was so nice and helpful and rebooked my reservation.
- 5/5
The only complaint we have is having to pay to park in the lot. We repeatedly got papers on our window, even after paying the fees. If we left the lot, we would receive a new one shortly after pulling back in. That was the only frustration of the stay! Everything else was wonderful.
- 3/5
Nice agents working there but was understaffed and no housekeeping was on site. Poorly managed as property could use the support as staff was friendly and did everything we asked. But you can clearly tell that management is trying to save on money for regular maintenance as rooms had broken shower heads and lamps in room and marks on walls 2/5 review
- 1/5
I waited for almost 10 minutes for a clerk to check me in- they disappeared somewhere. Ended up leaving, going to eat and then trying to check in again.
- 5/5
Great customer service. Easy checkin and parking.
- 2/5
You were told about this parking arrangements which are horrible and for anybody that has or a need for a disability parking spot with nothing next to it the bathroom reeked of smoke the whole time it was coming through the vent and we heard another person complaining about the same thing at the front desk.
- 3/5
Everything fine , tv didn’t didn’t work had to call maintenance, the thing that still amazes me we had to pay to park !, and we got back late and there wasn’t one spot left all I got was “sorry sir just find what ya can “
- 5/5
The breakfast was really good. Nice friendly staff. My family have already planned our next staycation with this same location.
- 5/5
The room was great, and the hotel bar was convenient. Please note that parking costs $10 per night.
- 3/5
Also - having to PAY for parking and not have (any) parking spots is ridiculous especially when you’re a Hilton Gold Member.
- 4/5
Very clean place to stay and location was great.
- 5/5
Anniversary trip to visit Charleston. Our King Suite room offered many comforts of home. We especially liked the convenience of having a kitchen! Overall, room was clean and comfortable, showing a small amount of wear, but nothing that detracted from our stay. Breakfast options were better than your average hotel and staff was friendly and helpful. Location was convenient to the interstate. We'd happily stay here again.
- 3/5
Everything was good until we started to get ready for bed the first night. Noticed dried vomit on the walls, bed sheets were stained with some kind of black stuff, there wasn’t a dessert on the opposite side of the bed and the outlet wasn’t even close to the bed to charge the phone, and then the toilet stopped working. Over all cleanliness was poor. I expected more since the hotel had great reviews, but was sadly let down. Won’t be staying here again.
- 5/5
Quiet and neighborly
- 3/5
They now charge for parking! That is not advertised on the booking. At minimum it’s $10 a day, you have to scan and pay an app and register your car. Elevator out. Rooms smell and not taken care of. The front desk ladies are very nice and accommodating though!
- 5/5
Easy check in with friendly staff. Parking a but of a pain as the share the lot worh the Doubletree. If you park behind the building be prepaired to walk all the way Round both hotels!
- 5/5
Great service and clean rooms
- 5/5
Very clean
- 5/5
Enjoyed my stay. The room was comfortable and very large, just like I wanted it. Breakfast was good as well.
- 5/5
Great hotel overall
- 5/5
This property was very clean, staff was nice and helpful. Will definitely stay again and recommend.
- 1/5
Texted front desk that tv doesn’t work while in the shower the maintenance guy used a master key for the hotel to let him self in when door was locked and my daughter was in the living room area
- 5/5
Great stay. Friendly staff
- 5/5
All expectations meet
- 1/5
Beer bottles and garbage all over the parking lot. Elevator doesn’t work. Breakfast was not good. Most everything was out and we could not get silverware or coffee and this was close to 8:30 when it was not near ending time. Toilets didn’t flush well. Staff wanted to argue about my payment method. Management refused to come out of their breakfast to assist so I was charged twice. Had to spend my whole day trying to prove their error in order to get my money back. Very inconvenient way to spend my trip. Staff tried to embarrass me by repeatedly saying my card was declined which was a lie.
- 5/5
The staff are excellent. They are very friendly and welcoming. I will stay again.
- 5/5
Overall very good. Very nice people; area not so great. Plenty of parking. Excellent value at the rate we paid. Room was spacious and comfortable. Will need some updates soon.
- 4/5
Nice hotel with friendly staff
- 5/5
Great location and hotel is in excellent shape…..very very clean and decent breakfast options
- 4/5
It was good, it was comfortable, and I was able to get a lot of rest and accomplish the goals that I had set for the trip. I would stay here again very convenient.
- 4/5
Overall a good experience.
- 4/5
Almost all went fine but we struggled to park our selves. Only found out only one spot and far away from any hotel entrance.
- 5/5
Loved it all thank you
- 5/5
The room was huge and so much like home. It had a kitchen, living area, bed, and bath. Had every amenity I wanted and needed. Very convenient location, friendly staff, and good breakfast. Thumbs up👍👍
- 5/5
Cozy and nice
- 4/5
Staff was friendly and very accommodating
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel!! Very clean and safe. We regret not extending our stay when we went to another hotel!
- 2/5
One of the beds in my room had a stain on it so I couldn’t sleep on it. When I went to take a shower there were hairs all over the shower. I had to clean it myself. I talked to the front desk clerk and she told me I would hear from the manager with a resolution. When your rep reached out to the hotel they lied and said they offered me $5 in points which they did not. They also said I accepted that offer but that’s a lie because it was never presented to me. I will never stay there again if this is how they treat people. I was nice when bringing it to their attention and this is the thanks I get.
- 5/5
The hotel property was fine but there were some Sketchy characters hanging around the sites on the way back to hotel this evening. I would not think it safe to walk around this area of town.
- 1/5
This was one of the worst hotels I have ever been to. The staff was not friendly and the rooms and carpet was filthy. My friends room had a bug in it. There was no place to park or a place to sit outside. There was no vending machines and the ice cooler was out of order. It looked nothing like the picture. No fire pit or mini golf course. The reviews said it was a 9 out of 10. Not true!
- 5/5
I liked being able to pick my room and having a digital key. The room was comfortable and roomy and the beds were comfortable. Pillows were perfect! Wish we had a tub with the shower but the shower was nice.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel with a good breakfast and convenient to attractions.
- 5/5
Nice comfy room but it could use more overhead lights
- 5/5
It was the perfect hotel for what we needed and price was great! Will stay there again!
- 5/5
Great location and very clean with friendly staff.
- 4/5
Great stay and staff is superior. Room issues- ac wall panel needed battery. Remote needed battery, toilet rocks needs to be tightened, bedroom tv had no signal, room should have note saying you have to leave wall switch on by entry door for sink light to come on when that wall switch is flipped.
- 5/5
Very clean and welcoming location
- 5/5
Great service
- 5/5
Spacious
- 5/5
Excellent property, very updated and comfortable room and superb staff!
- 5/5
This was just an overnight stay so we could attend a swim meet. The check in was smooth and the desk attendant was friendly and helpful. The room was very large and comfortable. The only odd thing was there was a small hole in the wall in the bathroom which was filled with toilet paper. The breakfast was great!
- 5/5
Excellent property & area. The hotel was very nice! Comfy bed, good shower pressure and friendly staff. Great spot to lay your head down.
- 5/5
Excellent location
- 5/5
Beautiful pool, large enclosed outdoor area with grills and tables. Great welcome reception on Wed evening. Large , clean suites.
- 5/5
This hotel was a good value and an excellent stay overall. Staff were helpful and friendly. The free breakfast was delicious and convenient.

The staff was great. It was hard to find at night and the parking lot was full. We had to drive around several times for 15 min to finally find a place. It was 11 pm and we had just flown in. . The hotel is right next to a busy freeway so it was noisy. The soap gel had no soap in the shower. The wall paper is peeling and some lightbulbs were out. The disposal had some gross leftovers in the bottom. It just needs a good cleaning and care.
