The property was very nice and clean The only thing I had a problem with that I stayed on the first floor and someone with children stay above me and the kids was running wow I was trying to sleep for an event. I had to go to at 5 o’clock, and I went to the front to explain to this guy that was the clerk. I never did get his name to call up there and ask them to tell the child to stop running while I sleep he said he couldn’t do that because they paid their money and that pissed me off like I didn’t pay my money. That was the only problem I had.

I stayed at hotel with my bridesmaids overnight and was extremely satisfied. Small but very well kept hotel. The staff was also friendly and very helpful. Convenient to 305 & highway 78 as well as to stores and restaurants.

This was our fourth time staying here and why we repeated our business was great staff and cleanliness. This was our last stay at this establishment. The evening staff was very blunt and not welcoming like normal. The room was somewhat of clean, but the towels were dirty and the replacements were not any better. Three of the four rooms were on different floors. Overall, this place has lost our business and not what it has been in the past few years.

Well I didn’t like staff attitude and I didn’t like the extra charge for early check in when room prices are high enough… I think if you purchase a room you should be able to check in regardless the time, and shouldn’t be charged the same price of the room for early check in ridiculous.

I paid $320 for 3 nights for the hotel. I checked into the hotel at 10PM and checked out at 11PM, letting go of my money. Where do I start? It was a terrible place. Sticky/greasy floors , dirty furniture, chairs with all kinds of stains etc.. I did not even bother entering the bathroom. When I was returning the keys, they did not even bother asking what the problem was and how they can rectify it. Horrible experience!

I visited this property on Sun., May 24th. Check-in is at 3PM but I arrived early. Worker at front desk told me there was no early check-in, which I understood. I came back at 2:50 thinking she could begin the check-in process. I was told to wait the additional 10 mins, which I did. When I got checked in and started putting my things away, I realized the worker had put me in a handicapped room so I went back downstairs to address it since I booked through Expedia and didnt reserve this type of room. Worker told me that was all she had available and when I requested a refund, she told that I had to wait for a manager. I told her I would just submit a review. With it being Memorial Day weekend and people checking in, I'm sure there could have been a veteran or someone who is actually disabled who could have used the room but she felt it was perfectly fine to put me, an able-bodied woman in this room. I apologize on her behalf if she prevented anyone who needed this type of room from being able to get it. I'm glad it was just a one night stay. I've stayed at this property numerous times, have always booked a King Kitchenette room and have never had a problem. This worker needs to be reprimanded. I didn't get her name but she worked the front desk on the day mentioned above. I will definitely have second thoughts about staying here in the future.

A fresh unused roll of tissue would be nice, for two guest, towels for more than one shower ,coffee pot and skillet . I bought a skillet only to be told it want work with the stove top. A full ironing board and not a desk top board.

I like that this hotel is reasonably priced. Its also located by some eateries. The accommodations are also suitable.

There was never a person upfront & last night she was not very friendly. They also sell soup cups & Mac & cheese with no silverware.

Very basic. Has a kitchenette but limited in supplies. No soap for kitchen, no sponge, no paper towels, there were paper plates but no bowls. Half roll of toilet paper with back up and no facial tissues.

The room was incredibly clean. Check in was efficient but non-personal. My worst early impression was the luggage cart-just a utility moving cart without an upper rod to hang clothes or a purse etc. Room was small but adequate, no blanket or extra covers. Soap and shampoo were the refillable kind so you know nothing about the contents. Not even a box of Kleenex.

Very polite staff and the room was very spacious. Only thing that needed attention was the exhaust fan in bathroom… very dusty (room 105).

I have stayed here before and always had the impression that their staff is untrained / incompetent and that their computer system is cheap and flakey. This time that combination bit me. I will not be staying here again.

Staff were whatever, can’t be rude if you don’t speak I guess. No amenities. Bare bones place. It would be fine but the elevator stunk so bad. Does someone vomit in the shafts everyday. The hallways stink too but in a chemical way

Everything was pretty nice. My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The bathroom towels were small and thin, but otherwise, a great stay.

Stayed here previously while traveling and will do so again. First room I got didn’t have sheets or blankets on the bed. Was immediately changed to another room.

Booked a room for the kitchen aspect. Nothing worked except for the fridge, so we were unable to make breakfast as intended. Room smelled like somebody had cooked something stinky. When I went to put our drinks in the fridge, there was a cooking pot full of green beans with a styrofoam plate on top. No clue how long it had been there and made me wonder what other cleaning shortcuts they made. We also were in and out multiple times and never saw a single worker, so can’t comment on that. Bed also had a single sheet so it was very cold.

Office Chairs are very uncomfortable. On another stay a few weeks ago they gave me a metal chair for my office chair. I called and request a regular chair but they said they couldn’t help me. This metal chair was very hard and very small. The towels don’t smell clean. I could smell someone sweat on the sheets.

This used to be my favorite hotel in Olive branch the price was reasonable for the area, rooms and lobby were always clean and quiet. The last few stays the air doesnt go down so the room are warmish, the tv was hard to control and the room wasnt as clean as it used to be.

Blankets were just two thin sheets essentially. Front desk staff was not welcoming and seemed put out to have to check us in.

The room and bathroom were clean and sanitized, however no complimentary items were present. Toilet paper was the cheapest. Bed and pillows were just acceptable. No breakfast included. Staff not prepared for customer service.

I have stayed in hotels across America. This place i wouldn’t recommend to a stray animal. The staff was rude and unprofessional. One day during stay staff ignored do not disturb sign and entered room. My employer made an honest mistake on my reservation. i was notified while at work and the situation was immediately rectified. Hospital staff entered my room, packed my things and took them out of the room. Once they realized that the problem was solved and stay was extended they returned items to room. However, my groceries were ruined and thrown away and personal items were missing. I would 0/10 stay at this place again. Staff did not make me feel safe and i felt like my privacy was grossly violated on mutltiole occasions

I was actually there for 7 months while my house was being built. My stay was great. The staff was terrific & I would recommend Hotel DeSoto to anyone.

Bed was too high-almost couldn’t get up in it-otherwise everything was good

But the room and public areas could all use a deep and thorough cleaning.

As always everything was very clean and maintained.

Met ladies from all three shifts and they were great! I will definitely stay here again if I’m in the area ! Great place to stay when flying out of the airport early the next morning.

Room could have been much cleaner. Two live bugs in bathtub. Had to request toilet tissue and more linens. Front desk clerk on check-in and check-out were not very hospitable. Was supposed to be non-smoking, but smokers were encountered in the lobby and elevator. Very disappointed.

The staff was incredibly nice! The room was clean and worked great for what I needed. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is that the TV remote was sticky and really gross, and the room I stayed in was a "studio room"; however, there was nowhere to sit besides the bed. It would be nice to at least have a chair to sit in when I had brought dinner back and have a place to sit. And a place to work on my laptop besides sitting in bed. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay!

So I canceled the reservation, because she didn’t inform me after I paid my bill. I’m a disabled veteran , hiking those stairs would have been a problem. I’ve stayed here a couple times before, when my organization have events in the area. And we never had any issues. Always clean and a pleasant environment. Well, I want be returning there any more. Because the customer service was terrible.

The elevator was out and i know they cant really control that. The tv and the phone in the room did not work. The towels did not seem cleen as they had someones hair on them. Room did smell like it had been smoked in at one time. The place was quiet and clean for the most part. Staff was very nice during check in and check out.

Worst stay Everr! I have very poor knees and the elevator did not work. Hotel personnel did not offer any sort of help whatsoever nor where we told upon check-in the elevator was not working. We learned about this once we got to the elevator. The hotel did not offer any sort of discounts or gratuitous efforts for the inconvenience. The Employee attitudes were oh well the elevator will be fixed sometime next week. This is highly unacceptable and I will never stay in this hotel again!

many complaints! intake staff is terrible, from the manager on down! female on 2nd shift (with the walker) should never be allowed into customer service period! she has no customer service skills whatsoever. elevator is broken & they put me on the 3rd floor, water only gets lukewarm at best. we will never ever go back to this place, the good ratings have to paid or bots!

I really thought this being a new hotel it would be nice and I was wrong .

When I checked in on Thursday, the hotel's only elevator was out. It was still out when I checked out Sunday morning. The corridors outside the room smelled musty. The cable connection kept cutting in and out. The wifi worked well.

The hotel was in a good location! The title floor was being replaced in the main lobby. To get to check in you had to go the rear entrance of the hotel to enter! The hotel check in counter was not accessible! The hotel employee had to bring the paperwork out to be signed! Parts of the lobby was shut down for two days! The ice machine was broken and no ice available!

It’s literally a place to rest for the night. No frills. The staff didn’t say much to welcome me. Just how can I help you. I need an ID. Gave me a non smoking and pet policy to sign. Handed me a key and said have a nice night. Didn’t even point out where my room was or give instructions for the WiFi. The room “looks” clean but it’s just a basic wipe down. There are splatters on the doors and walls from where something was spilled. There’s not even a dresser for clothes. Very basic but fine for just a night.

Place seemed clean enough. Communication with the staff is through a thick glass window. Beds are high pedastal beds difficult for my handicapped spouse to get into or out of; she slept most of the night in an armchair. Bathtub covered with very slick substance nearly causing a serious fall. Employees parking in handicapped spaces. Food options available for sale limited to some soft drinks and vending style pastries. Arrived 1.5 hours earlier than expected. Could not check in unless paying an extra fee.

This is a beautiful property. I visit Olive Branch often and I'm looking forward to staying here again. The bed was so comfortable too!

This property was extremely clean which I appreciated. The work out room was closed till further notice so that was a disappointment. They didn't let you check in until 3pm on the dot even though we were only a half hour early which I thought was kind of weird. There is no breakfast or pool which I knew when I booked it, but it would make this place so much better. Parking is limited. Housekeeping came all but one day of our stay, but we were still able to get towels. Good TV selection.

Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. If I was going to be picky, the shower didn’t get super hot and the blanket on the bed was fairly thin, but overall I was very pleased with my stay!

Really nice hotel the lobby and the room was clean.

Check in was easy, when we got in the room, we immediately killed two roaches. There was hair on the towels. The bed was fine, though the blankets provided were very thin.

I like that the property sits off to the side is very quiet it's close to the highway and it's very convenient to go to the stores The staff was just amazing every time I came down someone was mopping the floor with a clean mop and they also was cleaning up upstairs and downstairs and they was asking they would need anything and they also said have a good day and safe travels I thought that was very nice and these was the housekeepers the front desk they was awesome as well I definitely will be coming back again this is my second time and it's still been good

Hotel doesn’t offer breakfast or coffee makers in the rooms. Closest McDonald’s to get breakfast is 5miles away! With hotel so far out u would think they would offer breakfast to their guest. Rooms were DIRTY and smelt like crap the entire 2 days I was there. We asked for towels was told to return dirty towels so they could count them before I got clean ones. Needless to say I won’t be back!!

I was content with the peace and quietness of my experience being there on a business trip and the importance of rest.

Gentleman at front desk is always so nice and welcoming.

The room was comfortable. The bed was just right and had 4 pillows with 3 different types for your individual sleeping comfort. The bathroom had a mildew smell but looked clean. It was good for the price.

The room smelled terrible. The room was nasty. The area around the hotel was incredibly unsafe. All the restaurants around the hotel had gone out of business.

If you were in need of a room in a safe area around Memphis, this is gonna check all the boxes. The cons are the sheets did not fit the bed. The towels were the kind of towels that you would wash a floor with or maybe wash a car with very very cheap. Also, the bed linens very very cheap. There is a strong musky odor in the hallways but once you get into the room, the smell goes away, most likely because the room has a mixture of hardwood floor and carpet. it seems like also there may be people that live there like their permanent housing choice so do with that information what you may overall friendly staff if you’re really finicky about linens and sheets you may wanna bring your own towels and sheets, but clean, not so quiet very noisy. There is a construction site right next-door and it’s right by the interstate.

The hotel appeared newer from the outside. Construction next door but very well lit & maintained. Very basic hotel. Zero frills & that included the young lady-clerk at the front desk upon check-in. Zero personality except very clearly inconvenienced by my family's arrival & need of assistance. Notes were provided to the property during the reservation process requesting a 1st floor room due to multiple surgeries and difficulties in mobility. We were not given a 1st floor room nor was it even brought up by the employee. During our entire stay we only ever encountered the inconvenienced clerk & literally, never saw another, single desk clerk. Not one. Not once in 4 days of our exiting & entering. While we had to sign a strict "no smoking property" policy at check-in, walking through the hotel & from the elevator to our room was the overwhelming thickness of weed smell. And bad weed. So, pretty obvious their "no smoking property policy" only pertains to cigarettes as housekeeping was on our floor every day to share in the worst weed smell ever & I am certain we all owe whomever was smoking that crap 5 bucks each for our share. Blankets are way too thin. Pack your own. The parking lot appears to be open and plentiful. It is not. The 1 (ONE) roll of replacement toilet paper we were provided after the original half a roll ran out might honestly be the worst part of the entire place. No joke. Wiping with sandpaper. But overall? It was clean. Spacious. Big tv & reasonably priced.

I have stayed here many times when my son was playing baseball in the Memphis area. It’s a very clean renovated hotel. A couple of door slams after 10:00 otherwise I would given it 5 stars

The beds slept amazingly. I love a good bed more than other amenities. Room was clean. It was in a nice area. Friendly staff.

There were multiple strands of long hair under the covers and a string on the shower curtain which wasn’t an issue because we’re human so maybe they didn’t see it while cleaning. There was dirty diapers in the hall. Once I saw a roach in the bathroom and I left immediately. The front desk lady showed no signs of hospitality. I needed toilet paper so I called the lobby and was told I had to come get it…once again not an issue. I get to the desk and she says “Wassup” as if I wasn’t a guest that just called stating that I’ll be down there to get toilet paper. Beautiful hotel but not worth your money or time.
