I only stayed here because I couldn’t drive home after Disneyland the only good thing was the price the baseboards where dirty the bath tub drain was caroaded (misspelled) the bottom of the tub mat was straight yellow like it hasn’t been changed in years rust on the outside of the tub. Only 3 channels to watch say fire tv but remote didn’t control it. Oh yea only one car per room so if you have a friend or someone that is going to share a room with make sure they don’t bring a car

El matrimonio que está como administradores en la recepción,no hablan español,son muy déspotas y malhumorados,llegamos 2 horas antes de la hora de entrada y no nos permitieron dejar las maletas guardadas en algún lugar y nos comentaron que podíamos dejarlas en un lugar al aire libre,pero que no se hacían responsables de lo que pudiera suceder. El internet te lo quitan saliendo del hotel y cuando llegas nuevamente,lo tienes que poner otra vez. La habitación la limpian cada 3 días y solo te cambian las toallas,siempre y cuando le digas a la camarista en privado,que fue la única persona que nos atendió bien,pero sin que supieran los administradores. No volveré JAMAS

The last 3 times i go they dont have enough parking. They have a 1 car rull but what GOOD does it do when they don't enforce it at all. If you go too late good luck getting parking on site people will take up 2 spaces.

How do I begin? I arrive for my birthday weekend trying to get to somewhere to sleep going to the Angels home opener and immediately the staff was convinced that I arrived in two cars and four people were staying in one room. I told them that was not the case they did not take that for the answer they continued to tell me that I was going to pay for two parking spots and that four people could not stay there I assured them that my friends parked their car at the stadium and we were in one car and going to the game just at the room for a couple hours to burn some time. They insisted this was not the case and demanded that me and my wife both show ID. but wait it gets better upon entering the room. There was still food in the sink that was never cleaned. The TV did not work with no cable. The bathroom was unkept with hair all over the sink and toilet and stains were on the walls where possibly something various happened. Given the location, I don’t doubt it. So I called the front desk to please fix the TV at least he came in. stinking leaving the door open, letting more flies that we already existing in the room in and again brought up that I was with two vehicles and multiple people staying in the room. The ceiling in the room had a large crack in it, and the people upstairs were running around all night, causing it to fall in a little bit on the bed so if you’re looking for a really bad time book here and tell the staff that you’re in one car so you can see.

Honestly, nothing. I'm struggling to find a single positive thing about this stay. The check-in process was bizarre, they had me fill everything out by hand on pen and paper like it's 1995. The room smelled bad, the TV remote was sticky to the touch, and the bathroom was dirty and had a foul odor. Worst of all, the bed sheets clearly weren't changed, there were what looked like blood stains and black scuff marks all over them. Absolutely disgusting and a serious hygiene concern.

Night window check in should be kept for night. I would give a 5 star review , but I have a thing about feeling like a “ culprit of crime” by being forced to check in a little bullet proof glass window where you hunch down to speak, when the hotel has a perfectly useful and nice lobby area. It was 3pm! I have to repeat staying in this area 1 time a week for next 3 months and this factor is what drove me away from a repeat visit and 5 stars

Staff were the most shady, greedy & foul people i have came across in quite some time!! They are very rude, have bad attitudes & will try to keep your deposit by blaming you for any damages that were done by the last guests prior to your visit!! God forbid you forget anything of value in your room i was told by a regular there if they dont like you they wont give you your belongings back they will say they didnt find them. Dont let the low price of the rooms entice you to make the same mistake i did. Good luck

We decided to give the new management a chance. Unfortunately, every single time, they gave us a reason for not giving us our preferences for the room request even though we are staying 4 nights. We are pretty easy going so we just took whatever room they had given us. However, this last visit, we came into a room that still had wet floors and it wasn't clean properly. The chemical smell was strong and wasn't good for our lungs. The housekeepers came into the room each day and our toothbrushes that was resting on top of a clean towel were flipped onto the hard surface of the countertop above the toilet which we didn't appreciate. This will be our last visit to your property. The other options that we like within the same price range are in better locations and nicer management that try to work with us with our room preferences.

Check in staff was nice. Room was not cleaned well. Sticky substance like a soda had spilled on the nightstand. Hairs in the bed. Towels were old and stained.

Nothing Filthy and run down. Furniture looked like it was pull from a dumpster and everything in the room was stained, ripped, or just dirty. Also there were some late night drunken fights outside.

It was horrible. I pulled up with my motorcycle and my girlfriend car we were only using one parking space and the staff (Indian lady owner) did not wanted me to keep my motorcycle in the premises even tho I had already paid and had given the form to stay. The staff (Indian husband) asked for cash deposit and to not have my motorcycle like I was being racially profiled and got yelled at by the wife (Indian lady owner) they gave us the worst room and the tv wasn’t even working.

The person at check-in had no personality at all. It was definitely just a transaction for him. The room had a king and a full bed not two queens as mentioned when I hit reserve. The property is so old and when you open the door all you smell is pinesol. Absolutely horrible! The bathroom had rust in and around the tub. The linens were old and the bed had a sheet and a very thin bed cover. The ac/heater was very loud. And our upstairs neighbors paced at all night with what sounded like heels and the neighbors to the right fought at 230am causing a disturbance and waking us up. Overall would NOT stay here again and honestly I didn’t even want to stay the night although we had already paid. Sorry just not my kind of motel and I’m really not all that picky. Also for reservations for 4 people how do you only leave 3 bath towels?!

So this is going to be a fun (sarcastically stated). We've stayed here a few times & each time is a different experience. This time, like each time before, the staff was kind & accommodating with a first floor room in our room type. These rooms are super clean but smell strongly of cleaning product one must lite a candle, plug in a room deodorizer or just leave the door open to air out. Depending on the room, the bed is pretty comfy. Our favorite room so far is room 110, however this week was 108... bed is a bit stiffer and the ac unit is old and loud. Floorboards in the middle of the room lift to pinch your feet as one walks across the floor. Late morning second day there came a knock on the door. We answer to find they want to move furniture in to our occupied room. We decline entry as we had just fallen asleep yet they insisted. Firmly we shut the door. 1230 comes & management shows up unwilling to hear no, they want to move the furniture in today, now. We explain in 24 hrs we'll be leaving, management said no & asked we move into room 106. At this point with zero regard for their guests comfort or feelings we decided its closer to move our things into our car rather than another roo, so I give them back their room 106 card and request a refund. Why stay when they've invited us to leave by not understanding that the room was occupied! No matter what we were doing, short of an emergency the do not disturb sign was posted to be respected. Won't be back any time soon.

The staff are really nice. The room smells like super strong clorox. I had to ask the front desk to change my pillow cases because they're all stained with dirt. I guess you get your money's worth since it's cheaper than a hotel.

The Castaway is a good place to stay for the price. I've stayed here before. It is clean but always has a strong smell of bleach.

Great management and staff. Beyond what is typical, especially in the lower price point. I frequent the McDonald's next door and meet quite a few people who stay there regularly. Will be back again.

They really don't clean well. First I found the microwave with spoiled food, who knows how long it had been in it, and then I found a sock that wasn't mine. At night, I don't know what happened, but they knocked on the window several times while I was sleeping in the middle of the night.

I booked this hotel because we had an event at the Honda center, and it was close and in our budget. I was a little worried based on the reviews however, my check-in was very nice and flawless. A young man checked me in and I also did speak with the woman who I believe is in charge and she was very nice. The hotel does have rules which they do clearly state on the website and on a sign when you’re checking in. of course, if you try to go against these rules, there will be an issue. I did really like how the kitchen area was separate from the room there is no issues with parking and area was decent as well. There’s a lot of bars and food areas around would recommend

It was dirty, the comforter had holes, the floor was dirty, wooden floor had gaps, the bathroom window was crooked, the faucet and shower head had significant calcium stains, the shower caulking had mold build-up, the air conditioner was loud and it would turn on and off keeping me up. The pictures on Google made it look decent but it's not. The 7.8 rating that it has is probably due to folks not bothering to rate it.

The owners make sure your taken as long as you respect them, they were very good to me

Bad customer service

We had kids with health conditions that they knew about prior to us checking in. When we noticed these things after paying $230 for 2 nights and then asked for another $50 safety deposit when we got there. For how unsanitary and dirty this place was they should pay their customers a safety deposit! So I went to the office and complained about the room they said they would refund one of our nights and move us to a new room. The next room was painted but still had mold in the bathroom. We called back cause we still haven’t recieved the refund for the one night and now they are saying that they never agreed to that and that they don’t owe us a refund. We will be disputing the charges due to not receiving what we were promised and repeatedly being put into rooms with black mold and blood on the walls. this place should be shut down!

Location worked for us but the room had its problems. The outlets didn’t work so our phones didn’t charge. The water in the shower got only to luke warm. The refrigerator didn’t work so even water wasn’t cold. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Upon check in they were rude from the very beginning. I had 2 cars and only one was allowed in the parking lot which was ok but when I asked if it was ok to park on the streets the owner stated she didn’t know and to find somewhere else to park. Very rude and unkind to me. I left to get food and when I came back I parked on the street with the car I out on the register card they give you, I went to the window to change it witch I didn’t think was a big deal but apparently it was and was given attitude for it. The other owner said i couldn’t keep changing it.. I changed it that one time after that she followed me out side yelling at me to keep my car on the street. I felt disgusted and discriminated against, they Both assumed based on my appearance that I was probably up to no good. Literally just wanted a place to stay closer to work the next morning so I didn’t have to get up and drive 3 hours.. terrible service and people

Comfortable basic motel room. Hot water pressure was low and that's the only negative. Air-conditioner worked fine, mattress was firm and comfortable, there was plenty of space and it was quiet and private. A good choice if you are driving, but not so much if you are a public-transport backpacker. McDonald's next door closes at 22:00.

when I went to the bathroom, I looked at the tub all rusty and bad smell from a sue, I asked him to change to another room and he told me to wait for tomorrow after 11 Am, when he changed to another room looked a little better but a heat runs like a motorcycle in the room. I told him right on the 1st day I would move out, and he offered to change to another room, but things did not work. When I book online the picture shows very clean but in fact, is not I never come back in this Motel in the near future

DO NOT STAY HERE. This is a tiny hotel, the property is decrepit, the rooms are filthy. The worst part is the older couple that own and run the hotel are very rude and extremely nosey. There is only one way in and out of the hotel, right by the office where they live. They watch everything constantly, they are always there, they are the only staff other than maids. They thought I had an extra guest, they tried to flag my car down at 11 pm in the dark as I left one night. They then entered my room to look around when I was gone (I put up a camera). The wife was very rude every interaction, they argue with each other constantly and in front of you (different language). I was appalled at how they conduct themselves. Owners should not operate their own hotel, it’s always personal for them. If you don’t like to be watched or if you like a clean room, STAY AWAY FROM THE CASTAWAY!!
